avatar headcannons:
how many kids does he want?
neteyam x reader, lo'ak x reader, ao'nung x reader (gn!)
neteyam:
the most out of any other on this list, coming in with wanting five.
in the words of quaritch- "a whole litter."
just like his sa'nu and sempu, neteyam wants a big family, full of little ones.
lo'ak:
loves every single second of fatherhood.
whittles toys for his little ones, especially ones he remembers he or his siblings playing with growing up.
little wooden ikran, toruk, 'angtsìk- and ilu and tulkun, too.
can hold at least four of his kids at a time. one on each hip, baby in the sling on his front, and a toddler in the wrap on his back. worried he'll drop one if he tries all five.
five kids can be overwhelming, of course, but he'll never raise his voice at them- if he really needs to yell, he leaves the kelku for a minute to let out his frustration.
insists on braiding their hair himself. he loves to do it.
makes him feel more connected to his little one, twisting and braiding their hair as gently and carefully as he can.
most parents hate their kids crawling into bed with them. with all the limbs kicking and pressing into you all night, who can blame them?
but neteyam can barely sleep without an uncomfortable leg pressing into his back, anymore. it's how he knows all his little ones are here, all safe.
contrary to the some of the other headcannons i've seen on this site, i believe lo'ak would only like two children.
ao'nung:
he just wants a small, loving little family.
he decided on two for a reason, too.
lo'ak would have been perfectly fine with just one, but then he thought about it more.
lo'ak grew up with four others- his siblings, his best friends.
he wanted that for his little, too.
becomes so calm, so easy-going and soft around his children.
lo'ak can obviously be reckless- but when he's with his babies, he's calm. his focus is only on them.
his favorite part of fatherhood is play time. any game his kids want to play, he wants to play with them.
they want to pretend they're riding an ikran? climb on! they want to play in the water? look out, daddy's splashing!
always makes sure both of them are included in the game, too.
no one will be outcast in this family.
he honestly doesn't think about things like that. he would take a moment to think about it, deciding on three at the most.
it seems like a good number to him.
it's the number of kids his parents had, too, so that might be why he's so comfortable with it.
he definitely thinks four would be too many, but three? it just sounds perfect.
he's one of those dads that pretends to be all tough around others, but behind closed doors- he's absolutely melted.
bonus!
this man spoils them. and i mean that.
ao'nung is a fierce leader- strong and proud.
but if his little one were to tug on his clothes and ask for something? it's over. he's crumbled, gone, off to spoil his baby and give them anything they want.
i'm talking dessert before dinner, letting them stay up late playing, anything their little hearts desire.
also... he'd have all girls. he never specifically wanted a boy or girl, and obviously its not something you choose, but something about his genes, man. i'm telling you: three little daddy's girls.
spider:
one.
spider doesn't think he'd be a good father.
but there's still this want pushed to the back of his head- to one day have a baby of his own.
spider thinks he'd be a horrible father.
in reality, if spider ever ended up with a little one...
they'd be the most loved baby on that moon.
probably wouldn't put them down their whole infancy, preferring to have them curled up against his chest at all times.
he wouldn't spoil them- he's raise his little one to be independent, strong, their own person.
but he would also show them that they were loved unconditionally.
that no matter what- their father would always love them. always.

neteyam x male!metkayina!reader
warnings: cussing, homophobia (internalized and against another", violence, blood, threats, breaking down and sex jokes
summary: neteyam falls head over heals for the chiefs son, actual love at first sight situation.
word count: 2.6 k
╭── ⋅ ⋅ ── ✩ ── ⋅ ⋅ ──╮
neteyams heart was beating faster then he knew it could. lo'ak was drooling out of a girl who was coming out of the water, but neteyam found his attention glued to the boy behind her. his icy blue eyes, dripping wet hair. the way water dripped off of his hips and his walk seemed so elegant, like the ocean he had just swam out of. everything about him was captivating. the boy looked up, tossing neteyam a soft smile before he started talking to someone else. his attention was brought back to his family when a few boys started circling them, grabbing at their hands and tails, inspecting the foreigners for imperfections that they could point out. "look at his thin little tail!" the tallest boy said, grabbing at neteyams tail in an attempt to show it around like he was on a stage. "ao'nung!" a voice shouted, pushing through the crowd and flinging sand behind them with every angered step. "are you serious right now? leave them alone! you're lucky i don't grab your tail and rip it off of your body!" the boy neteyam had been staring at earlier was yelling, his voice almost reaching a scream, at the one he assumed was ao'nung. his face was scrunched up, and every time he pronounced his r's and o's his fangs showed as if he were about to rip someone to shreds. "aw! y/ns defending them, like the little hero he is! put that effort into something more useful sometime, yea? like getting a girl?" he was immediately scolded. "ao'nung! go, stay in the pod for the rest of the day. that's enough." the chief of the clan had shouted, interrupting his conversation with neteyams father. ao'nung stomped away, trying to shove y/n on his way past.
neteyams family started walking towards some place- he hadn't payed enough attention to know where -as the crowd around them dispersed. that night, neteyam and lo'ak discussed the days activities. "who was that guy fighting with ao'nung?" neteyam tried to sound casual about it. "i think he's like the chiefs son or something.. and so are ao'nung and tsireya." neteyams ears arched back a little bit at the thought of ao'nung being related to the angelic creature he'd seen with him. he was barely grasping the fact that ao'nung and y/n were from the same clan, but brothers? blood related, raised by the same people, same way, around the same age? how did their parents end up with such an ugly, rude, pitiful creature and the most beautiful boy neteyam had ever seen in the same family?
neteyam spent the whole night thinking about it, he didn't even realize he'd fallen asleep untul he woke up the next morning. he immediately ran out of his new home, remembering he was being taught by the chiefs children today. he spotted two green figures standing by lo'ak, tuk and kiri. "aye! get down here!" lo'ak yelled up to him. before he knew it, he was standing by his brother. in front of y/n. up close he was even prettier. the way his eyelashes fluttered over his sapphire eyes almost made neteyam smile. "big guy finally woke up.." y/n winked at him, probably in a playful way, but it made him feel a way he'd never felt before. "it's alright, anyone would be tired after your long journey," tsireya spoke more directed towards lo'ak, "lo'ak, you and tuk can work with me. y/n, you work with neteyam!" she nudged her brother with her elbow at the last part, making his eyes go wide and his ears press flat against his head. "shut up.." he mumbled, glaring at tsireya as she led her students away. y/n put his hand out, neteyam hesitated before grabbing it. he led them to a clear part of the beach, away from anyones view. "okay, so just dive in. i wanna see something.." y/n waited, deciding to dive in himself since neteyam wasn't. neteyam dove in right after, following y/n like he was on a leash. y/n started doing something with his hands, which neteyam had only seen metkayina do. he raised an eyebrow and y/n giggled, going up to talk to neteyam. he looked so amazing every time he came out of the water. the way it dripped off his hair... "neteyam, you need to learn sign. it's how we talk underwater."
neteyam stood on a rock above y/n as he explained what they were about to do. "i'll need to teach you more about breathing, and you'll need an ilu. when you learn how to swim quickly i can take you out by-" y/n was cut off. ao'nung ran behind neteyam and pushed him in, his knee making direct contact with y/ns face. neteyam crawled back on the shore coughing, and y/n resurfaced with a bloody nose. he practically jumped out of the water, grabbing ao'nung by the tail and throwing him down. he crouched on top of him, pulling his arms behind his back and securing them with his foot as he shouted. "skxawng! i'm so tired of you! you act like the children! you're so immature! what is the matter with you? why do you act the way you do? you're such a- a- argh! i'm going to make you rip off your own tail and bite off your fingers!" y/n screamed at him, drawing a few peoples attention, including tsireya and lo'ak. he smacked him in the back of the head so hard his face flew into the sand before getting off. his hands were in fists by his sides, his tail was swinging so hard it could knock someone out, and his ears were flat against his head. "shoo! before i cut you up like a fish!" y/n was shoving him until he ran away. neteyam was dumbfounded. y/n seemed like a calm, quiet guy. "damn! what'd he do?" lo'ak came down the bank laughing, his hand over his mouth. tsireya kicked the back of his leg, shaking her head as if it was dangerous. she was carrying tuk. "shut up or i'll do the same to you." y/ns beautiful blue eyes looked as dull as steel. right now he'd probably follow through on his threats, so lo'ak took it as his sign to leave. he grabbed tuk, thanked tsireya, and ran away like a scared animal. "are you okay?" y/n suddenly went back to his caring self. he switched around so fast it was giving neteyam whiplash. "uh- yeah- are you? you're kinda.." he wiped some of the blood off the others face with his thumb. "maybe you should go show that to your mom.." y/n simply wiped it off with his knuckle. "i think we're done for today, it's getting dark.." he walked away ashamed. he didn't mean to act like that. he really didn't want neteyam to see him the way everyone else did. he ruined it, let neteyam slip through his fingers like the sand he lived on.
neteyam and lo'ak were on their way to see if y/n was alright when they heard the yelling. y/ns parents were out hunting, leaving the children alone in their pod distant from the others. "i can't believe you! i really like him and you know it! you ruined it! i hate you!" shadows of y/n and ao'nung could be seen through the thin walls. "not my fault you're such a weirdo. maybe if you liked girls it'd be safer. i doubt kiris knee would've busted you in the face like that." ao'nung was chuckling. "ao'nung! enough! you don't say that! apologize!" tsireyas shadow, the shortest, could be seen marching over. "for what? i'm not the one drooling over a guy. he's acting like one of the girls and it's disgusting!" y/n ran from the room like he'd heard the most heartbreaking thing ever. he marched down the pathways and onto the sand, shoving his head between his knees and gripping his hair like his head was going to fall off. "hey, go back to tuk and kiri. i got this." neteyam waved lo'ak off, and he left.
"hey are you-" he was about to check up on the boy when he noticed the gasps and sobs he was hearing. kiri used to get like that. she wouldn't be able to breathe, like she was dying. he ran to y/ns side. "bro? are you- can i help?" his teary eyed crush brought his head up from his shaking hands. "i- he- i'm a weirdo and he's right!" he collapsed into neteyams chest, sobbing harder. neteyam pulled him close and stroked his hair. "shh. it's okay. i'm sure it wasn't. just breathe. what happened?" after y/n calmed down he started telling the story. he didn't set up, he was quite comfy in the others lap. "it was my fault. i was distracted. i should've seen him run past but i didn't because i'm such a freak and i was staring at someone like a lovestruck girl- why am i even hiding it anymore i was staring at a guy. another dude and i bled because of it. i was staring at you and i got what i deserve for being such a creep! i'm so disgusting i can't help but hate myself and i know if the rest of the clan found out they'd hate me too! i wouldn't be the chiefs kid anymore id be the perverted little outcast and ao'nung would just love that. he wants that. i deserve that..." he trailed off. the only thing that could be heard were sniffles and the ocean. neteyam was trying to move past the fact that y/n just openly admitted to staring at him so he could comfort him.
"it wasn't. you couldn't have done anything. you're not a weirdo, y/n. you're perfect. you're the best fucking guy i've met and you deserve so much more then that. you deserve to date a great person- a great boy -because its okay to be that way. boys who like other guys aren't weirdos. unless i'm an absolute freak too, you're perfectly fine liking whoever you do. you like guys. guys like you. i like you-" he stopped talking. he just came out, confessed and comforted the boy in his lap all at once. he was gonna get his family kicked off the island if ao'nung found out, but he didn't care. "fuck- i'm sorry. ignore that." the teary eyed boy in his lap sat up, his face unintentionally close to neteyams. "is it true?" he whispered, sending shivers down the blue boys spine. "well- i-" his words caught in his throat, "i'm sorry. it is, but i shouldn't have said it. just please don't tell anyone, i don't want to ruin this for my family. they're just start to fit in and-" he was interrupted by lips meeting his. it wasn't a lip crashing into lip, sloppy kiss. it was gentle. everything about it was so perfect. it was exactly how he'd expect the gentle boy to kiss. it was soft and understanding. it felt like home. it was warm and caring and he didn't feel like anything was expected of him. he didn't have to push himself to being anything right now because he was home. this was home. sitting on the beach, a breeze blowing and crashing the cold water up onto the shore. a kind, beautiful boy in his lap kissing him. it was where he belonged.
y/n and neteyam woke up around the same time, y/n finding himself curled up against the taller. thankfully not many people saw, and those who did didn't care. "oh my god! did you get laid?" lo'ak tumbled down the bank speaking without thinking again. "kä neto!" neteyam hissed. y/n sat up, rubbing his eyes and yawning. "no- it's okay. we should start work again anyways, you need an ilu!" he jumped up as if last night hadn't happened. as if he hadn't broken down and kissed another boy.
when tsireya and tuk were ready to train, they all went back to their designated areas. "today i'm gonna teach you how to breath! aha-" y/n was trying to avoid any conversation of the night prior. "sit." and neteyam sat. after he taught him how breath underwater easily, which was a grueling task considering how flustered both men got touching each others chests to feel the breathing, it was time for ilu. y/n called his over, immediately hopping on. "this is zeriah," he connected his braid, "hop on and we'll get you one." neteyam awkwardly sat behind y/n, not sure how to hold on. "i'm not contagious ya know.." y/n grabbed neteyams hands and wrapped them around his stomach. "oh- sorry..." he was glad he wasn't visible. before he knew it they were flying- just like his ikran. "we're going under be ready.." y/n said literal seconds before they dove underwater, going so fast that neteyam had to grab on tighter, pushing himself more against y/n and putting his head down. it was definitely on purpose. it didn't take long for him to wrangle an ilu and connect with it. he was slightly disappointed at the fact that he had to ride back without touching y/n, but he did anyways. when they got back lo'ak was already waiting to taunt them. "hey lovebirds. how many rounds did you fit in out there?" he looked at tsireya, waiting for her to laugh. "none, unfortunately." y/n pulled neteyam down to his height and gave him a dramatically long kiss just to prove a point. "but hopefully you get some in with my sister, seeing how obsessed you've been lately." he flashed the cockiest grin while walking past a shocked lo'ak, dragging neteyam with him.
"net, what are we?" the question was so sudden it stunned him into silence for a moment. the two were sitting on a pathway outside of neteyams pod just before eclipse. "oh- i uhm- i'm not sure-" he knew they both wanted it. "neteyam sully, can i be your boyfriend?" y/n got on one knee like he'd seen jake do to netytiri. "of course, my love." he replied the way he'd seen hit mother reply. they were centimeters away from a kiss when they heard tuk, "if you guys have kids will their eyes be blue or yellow? or both?" she was jumping up and down. jake walked out behind her, "i hope it would be both, like the aurora. but i guess that probably won't happen with you two." he winked at y/n before pulling tuk back inside to leave them alone.
"oh my god!" neteyam wanted to jump off the pathway until he stopped breathing out of embarrassment. his dad 100% did that on purpose. "it's okay, it's kinda cute. aurora eyes."y/n laid his head in the others lap. "i guess.. when it isn't my fucking father saying it!" he said the cuss word quietly, which made y/n laugh.
"hey net?" y/n looked up, hearts in his eyes. "yeah?" they were so in love it would make a single person cry. "i think i want you to be my mate. i think..." he paused, "no. i know it. i see you. neteyam." he flashed the same soft smile he did when they first met. "i see you too, y/n." he was still as fascinated at he was when they first saw each other. his heart still beat faster than he used to know it could when he was around him.
they wanted those babies with beautiful aurora eyes, even if it was impossible.

Imagine:
Meeting the Sully family
Request: Yes or No
~~~
Resurfacing from the depths, you spotted a crowd beginning to form and surround a group of ikrans. They wore mounts and carried things, signaling they had riders. Detaching from your ilu, you slipped off him and swam closer to shore, rising up from the water and approaching the crowd. Your people made way for you and you spotted your mother, stopping beside her.
"(Y/N)." JakeSully greeted, bringing three fingers to his forehead before lowering in your direction. His mate and children followed suit, apart from one of his daughters. She kept her arms crossed, looking as pleased as your mother. Your eyes met hers and she held your gaze, only looking away when her brother elbowed her side gently.
"They seek uturu." Your mother muttered, disdain dripping from her voice. Your father glanced in her direction, clearing his throat.
"We cannot let you bring war here." He told JakeSully. The avatar looked at your father and held his youngest tight to his chest, taking a step forward.
"I'm done with war, okay?" He breathed, ears pinning back in desperation. "I just... I want to keep my family safe." Your parents shared a look, gazes falling over your younger siblings before shifting onto you. They knew the parental desire of keeping their children safe.
"Uturu has been asked." Neytiri whispered softly. Your father turned away from them and looked down at your mother. The two had a conversation solely with their eyes before Ronal bowed her head and granted your father her acceptance.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us." He announced, facing the rest of the village. "Treat them as our brothers and sisters. They do not know the sea, so they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless."
"Thank you." JakeSully smiled, relief etched all over his face.
Motioning to your younger siblings, your father continued, "My son Ao'nung and daughter Tsireya will show your children what to do."
"What about (Y/N)?" Ao'nung huffed and you blinked at him, ears twitching. You scoffed softly and he stuck his tongue out at you, getting a disapproving glare from your mother.
"And my eldest son, (Y/N), will help as well." Tonowari added, ignoring the look of disbelief you sent him. You groaned softly, glaring at Ao'nung but he merely smirked triumphantly. Tsireya stepped forward, smiling warmly at the family despite the reluctance you and Ao'nung displayed.
"Come! I will show you our village."
Wait this is the first thing I have ever requested lol. Could you please write a romantic peice for aonung, the reader is a sully (surprise surprise I can't think of anything else) and maybe just do something when him and reader sneak out at night and he's being really flirty but the reader is being a little oblivious and maybe it ends with some kisses 👀. Idk it's completely fine if you do not like this idea but just wanna let you know that I love your writing so please keep up the amazing work
pairings ❰ ao'nung x m!reader
fish boy asked you sneak out with him to 'hunt' and a little something something
warning: short writing, aonung himself
I made it an x male reader (I hope you don't mind since you didn't mention a gender for the reader) and yes i misread the word oblivious as obvious lol, still I hope you like this plot with a change of the word.
special tag bc I can: @nerdyglasess
The ocean water was lovely this evening. While the chilly wind blew along the shore, it was shimmering and twirling with the star's reflections. All but one person were capable of falling asleep listening to the sounds of the night.
You were the only member of your family awake at this late hour because it was late at night. Your hands were moving with each touch as you made the reef baskets with shells throughout by hand. You were the toruk makto's oldest son. Even if you weren't asked to be responsible, you still had to.
Crafting fascinating things on a regular basis would calm and relax you, especially at night. As you worked, the glorious stars would watch you as you created anything really.
While you were focused on weaving a basket, your sense didn't bother to look at your surroundings as you thought that everyone was asleep due to how late it was.
You assumed as much, however you were unaware that a figure was stealthily approaching you from behind as your hands shifted the shells into placement. Even humming a melody before this person could distract you.
"Uhm, hey-" an unexpected voice startled you, but you didn't have time to scream as you spun your torso around and raised your fists to strike something, or someone, that frightened you out.
After the attack, you looked down and noticed that Ao'nung, whose face you had just smacked, had his hands outstretched as you prepared to deliver another punch. You groan as you withdraw your fists.
You raise his body and pull his prominent ears as you lead him outside the cottage, abandoning your hand-woven baskets and your peacefuly sleeping family behind. While walking to whatever you were going to, Ao'nung moves to escape your grasp as it is freezing outside in the beachside village, his breath frosting over in the billowing air.
“What the hell was that?! You almost had me waking the entire village. Do not ever to that again or next time I will rip out your ears the next time you do that.” You hissed as the boy with teal skin fixed his posture with his ears down, understanding of what you were saying. You sigh while you allow him a minute to respond to your question as it appears he was tongue-tied. He mumbled an ‘I’m sorry’ which you did not catch as the wind was singing.
“I wanted to uh- ask you on uh....” As you stand in front of him, he fumbles with his hands as he tries to think of a sentence to say in response to your glance.
“I wanted to ask you if you would wanna come hunt a- big fish.. with me?” He grinned awkwardly at you as you stood there with a cringe-inducing expression on your face. As he continued to fidget with his hands in expectation of your response, you appeared to notice a reddish tint appearing on his cheeks.
So this is what this was all about huh. You shrugged your shoulders and a mischievous smile, almost a smirk, formed on your lips. You now finally know why this fish boy has been less of a tease on you, while he was extreme to your siblings.
“well of course I can, lead the way, warrior.” Your response to him is delivered while you attempt to avoid sounding sarcastic. His anxious eyes are now pierced by stars from above.
Both of you mimicked the sound of an Ilu for them to be summoned.
The both of you were guided to a sea-plant field by the stingray-like creatures. The corals' varied lights provided the opportunity for you to see underwater at night. You and your dear frenemie, Ao'nung have organized a race before traveling to the hunting destination.
You both descend underwater as you paddle with your ilu, the bubbles from your dive following you both as you disappear in the waves. You roll your eyes as your orbs saw that Ao’nung was already ahead of you, He’s a show off at anyways, he’s just annoying.
You and he have engaged in just few battle of races, but now you are both at your destined location. You already understood that this place was not related to ginormous fishes or hunting. It was a stone-lined cavern filled with brilliant colors of light that shined brilliant at night. cute.
“So, uh- I think we kinda got the wrong location” He attempts to conceal the fact that the explanation for sneaking out was unrelated to hunting. It was about another topic, something he was keeping from you.
While you were waiting for the appropriate moment, you simply played with the tone and ignored his comment. He was looking at you, perhaps zoning out, as you made a short circle around the coven with your hands on your hips.
You gave the boy a lingering glance before stopping your brief tour of this wonderful cavern. “Now, what is the actual reason why you brought me here, fish lips?” going back to his direction, his eyes met yours.
He had switched from his awkward body postures to those that were the reverse; he was now back to his ego personality. He was aware that you would have immediately learned the truth thanks to your sharp intelligence.
“You smart, smart tree hugger.” He chuckled while giving you that look. This guy really be flirting with you right now? Of course you were not gonna let him dominate you, you’re [name] sully, the eldest son of the man that came from a star.
nuts, he was the one who did it first. His lips met yours, Saying you were stunned is not so understating the situation. Instead of kissing back, you simply waited for him to realize what he was in fact doing.
“aw, I was supposed to do that. You scxawng” You said as he pulled your lips away from his. You gave him a look that he could recognize, your eyes were a sign of yes to a question.
“Let’s.. stay for a bit, I like the sound of waves. My [name].” You grinned as you knew where he got that reference from. You just hope for one thing, that his parents would agree with you being his mate.
You two casually relaxed in peace while soaking in the outside waves. Aonung took hold of your hand, your five fingers hugging his four. Who would’ve thought that a forest person could ever be with a reef person? You two love birds would solve that.
“you’re still a bitch tho”
I just had a idea and I had to request it. So, it consists of aonung x male reader. Aonung being a jerk and accidentally hitting a nerve on the reader and the reader snaps at him and walks away. Then aonung asking neteyam about the nerve he hit and it was something from the past. At last, he apologized and confessed to reader in a cave. The traumatizing part could be anything you want. You can change anything, but I just had to request it. I get ideas very random.
──;; 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 ? ★☆
★ 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲: I love this Idea !!!! I immediately started to write when I saw the request 😩
ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ
☆ 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: ao'nung/male!reader
☆ 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: bullying, traumatizing past, language, aonung being a bitch, kinda fluff ending, angst, not proof read, grammar mistakes
𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗴: bad romance
"You scared of a little bit of water?" Aonung tugged at you feet, trying to get you in the sea.
You resisted, kicking his hands away so you could take a few steps back. The boy and his friends just laughed.
"If you're so scared of the sea, you shouldn't be there then. Go back to where you belong, because it's definitely not here."
Now you got mad, but tried to walk away and ignore his comments, what he made really hard at some point.
"But maybe that's better, 'cause if you drown, I wouldn't save you."
You stopped in your tracks, looking over your shoulder to see Aonung giving his pals high fours and snickering to themselves. So you did the only smart thing you could think of, picked up a stone and threw it in their direction.
It missed Aonung meager, but scared the guys a little bit. They were now shouting at you, telling you that you were crazy and a psycho, freak, ect.
Neteyam watched from the side, leaning against a tree. He thought about helping you but knew, you could take care of yourself and honestly, he wanted to see you put Aonung in his place.
Maybe didn't end in the best way.
He saw you walking away and thought he could see smoke coming out of your ears, so he didn't follow you. But he made his way to Aonung and his friends.
Still grumbling, Aonung slowly walked out of the water, right into Neteyam.
When he realized who it was, he rolled his eyes.
"What do you want?"
"Why can't you just leave this poor boy alone? He never did anything to you."
Aonung snickered and rolled his eyes again.
"Why do you care so much? You got a crush on him or something?"
Before Aonung could pass him, Neteyam packed his shoulders and pushed him back.
"You really should apologize to him, he's not good with the ocean."
Aonung scoffed, not caring about what Neteyam had to say.
"Huh? And why? He should just grow up and not be such a pussy! I mean, what could be sooo bad about water?"
Neteyam sighed, not sure if he should tell him about the incident.
He then decided to give it a try, maybe Aonung would understand and take care of this little problem.
"Look, you probably don't know but when Y/N was younger, his little sister drowned. He was there and wasn't able to help her. He's really sensitive on this topic."
Aonung was shocked. He didn't show it, but he instantly felt bad. He actually got a huge crush on you but now he fucked up.
He scoffed once more, pushing Neteyams arms away and left him and his friends.
────
You were sitting on a rock and thought about the interaction you just had.
Why did this dick head always had to act like that? How does he even have friends? Why do you even like him? He's a bully and hates you!
You were so lost in thoughts that you didn't notice the figure right next to you. Aonung stared at the side of your face, looking straight to the ground and your knees against your body.
He needed a second to think about how to approach you and what to say, and if you would even listen to him.
"What do you want?"
Aonung was astounded by your sudden question, that he couldn't answer for a second.
You looked at him and watched his body language. His head was facing you but his body was turned away to the front, like he was ready to run away any second.
He then finally found his voice again:
"Oh, uhh.. Neteyam.. told me what happened.."
You sneered at this, rolling your eyes.
"Of course he did. And now? You're here to apologize and confess your love to me, since you finally realized you're actually in love with me and want to spend the rest of your life together?"
Aonung didn't say anything at this, just looked into your eyes.
"Now is the time for you to deny it and push me off this rock or something."
Instead of pushing you down, he kissed you.
To say you were surprised is an understatement. You didn't kiss back and just waited for him to realize what he's actually doing.
After a minute or two he pulled back, leaving you wanting more.
"Actually, you're right. I wanted to confess to you but I think that's not a good time now..."
'But kissing me is better?'
You blinked two times before you just pulled out a "damn."
Aonung grinned at this and turned his head in front of him, where he could see a small pond that led out to the sea.
"You know, you're kinda cute when you're mad.."
"Fuck you."
You two just sat in comfortable silence, listening to the waves outside. Aonung took your hand in his. You thought about pulling your hand away but decided to just leave it like that.
It just felt good this way. But he would pay for what he said later.
Avatar o caminho da água (Male Reader).
Está é a parte 03!
ㅤ ㅤ ᩡ✿ ׄ ࣭ ꣀ ❒̸ 🌺̸⃟ ׄ ⤶ 𖣯 ࣭ 𖥾
Lo'ak admirava o corpo escultural de [Nome], cada músculo definido e cada curva perfeita, fascinando-o.
Mas o que mais chamava sua atenção era a pele azul clara do Alpha, que parecia brilhar com delicadeza sob as gotas de água que caíam suavemente.
Era como se o Metkayina fosse uma escultura viva, prova da perfeição da natureza em criar algo tão belo e único.
Lo'ak não podia deixar de observar cada detalhe, a pele do Alpha parecia tão suave que ele queria tocá-la.
As gotas de água que escorriam pelos braços e pernas do Alpha pareciam dançar em sua pele, revelando sua forma esplêndida em um espetáculo deslumbrante.
Era como se a água fosse um presente divino, admirando o corpo de [Nome] como a obra-prima que era.
Aquela imagem, as gotas de água sobre a pele clara de [Nome] iria ficar para sempre na memória de Lo'ak.
Ele nunca havia visto tamanha beleza e graça, e estava grato por poder estar ali para testemunhar aquilo. O Alpha era simplesmente uma expressão perfeita da perfeição Metkayina e ele se sentia abençoado por ter a chance de contemplar aquela visão.
Tsireya percebeu que, ao olhar para o corpo de [Nome], Lo'ak estava corado e suas bochechas estavam em um tom azul mais escuro. Ela não pôde deixar de sorrir com a reação do companheiro.
Ela sabia que Lo'ak era um membro honroso da tribo, com muita experiência na luta e na sobrevivência na natureza. Mas, em momentos como aquele, Tsireya via algo mais em Lo'ak, uma sensibilidade que talvez muitos não percebessem. Era como se ele estivesse olhando para uma obra de arte, admirando a forma e a textura daquela pele azul clara.
Tsireya se aproximou de Lo'ak, com um sorriso cúmplice, e sussurrou em seu ouvido.
— Acho que deva limpar a baba, está escorrendo Lo'ak.
Lo'ak virou a cabeça em direção a Tsireya, ainda um pouco envergonhado, mas também rindo de si mesmo.
— Eu não esperava ficar tão abobalhado assim, Tsireya. — Admitiu ele,levando a mão no canto dos lábios e limpando a baba. — Mas é impossível não admirar essa perfeição da natureza.
Tsireya concordou, e juntos eles continuaram a admirar a beleza do Alpha por alguns segundos e quão fofo estava ele brincando com a pequena Omatikaya.
⊱───────⊰✯⊱───────⊰
[Nome] sorria suavemente para Tuk enquanto brincava na água. Ela era tão animada e alegre que não pôde deixar de sorrir também. A água estava refrescante em um dia quente, e as risadas de Tuk enchiam o ar.
[Nome] mergulhou abaixo da superfície e surpreendeu Tuk quando emergiu bem ao seu lado, fazendo-a rir ainda mais alto. Eles brincaram e nadaram juntos, sentindo a liberdade que a água proporcionava.
A Alpha sentia uma infinita ternura pela pequena criança, e sabia que estava vendo essa pequena como um filhote dele, agora era a responsabilidade dele guiá-la nos caminhos da água.
Mas, apesar disso, ela também sabia que precisava aprender muito com Tuk, como a leveza de ser, a espontaneidade e a alegria de viver.
Enquanto nadavam juntos naquela tarde ensolarada, [Nome] sentiu uma tranquilidade tomar conta de seu coração. Sabia que havia muito para descobrir nesta vida, mas estar naquele momento com Tuk era tudo o que precisava.
Lo'ak se aproximou de ambos com uma ansiedade que ele não conseguia controlar.
Seu coração batia forte dentro do peito e uma sensação estranha tomava conta de todo o seu corpo. Ele não sabia o que era aquilo. O ômega dentro dele necessitava e quase uivava o mandando ficar perto daquele Alpha.
Mesmo sem saber como expressar seus sentimentos, ele se aproximou ainda mais.
Seus olhos brilhavam enquanto ele olhava para [Nome], que parecia não ter percebido a tensão que o envolvia.
Lo'ak se aproximou ainda mais até que ficou ao lado de [Nome]. Ele permaneceu em silêncio por alguns instantes, tentando encontrar as palavras certas para começar a conversar.
— Uh ei [Nome]. —
— Olá Lo'ak.
— Ele estava fazendo muitas perguntas sobre você para Reya! — Tuk disse para o Alpha sorrindo, as orelhas dele se contraíram levemente indicando que estava envergonhado.
O Omiticaya olhava para a irmã, com uma cara surpresa deixando bem óbvio que não queria que ela falasse aquilo para [Nome].
As bochechas do Na'vi ficaram em uma cor mais escura indicando que estava envergonhado.
— Ei Tuk! Venha alimentar um Ilu comigo! — Kiri disse à distância, chamando a pequena.
— Ok Kiri, estou indo! — Tuk nadou para longe deixando ambos sozinhos. [Nome] olhou para o ômega, totalmente maravilhado com a beleza de Lo'ak.
Seus olhos amarelos eram tão brilhantes que pareciam emitir luz própria. As pintinhas em seu rosto formavam um desenho único, uma obra-prima. E o tamanho um pouco menor do que [Nome] não diminuía em nada sua presença imponente.
Enquanto olhava para Lo'ak, [Nome] se sentia tranquilo em meio a grande tempestade de sentimentos que o Omaticaya carregava em seu peito.
Havia algo de mágico naquele olhar, como se ele pudesse ler as emoções mais profundas de [Nome]. E ali, diante daqueles olhos encantadores, nada mais importava.
Com um sorriso no rosto, [Nome] olhou para o ômega.
— Gostaria de aprender a montar um ilu? —
— Eu adoraria, [Nome]. —
— Então vamos! — O Metkayina falou de maneira animada, chamando um ilu e rapidamente o animal foi até ele.
— Este é um ilu, você deve segurá-lo com força ou perderá o controle.
[Nome] olhou para Lo'ak com um grande sorriso no rosto, feliz por poder ajudá-lo a subir em cima do Ilu.
Enquanto ajudava o omaticaya a se estabilizar no topo do Ilu, [Nome] suavemente encostou no outro, ajeitando a postura em cima do animal.
De repente, um som alto de ronronar ecoou pelo ar, enchendo o Metkayina de surpresa e rapidamente o mesmo arregalou seus olhos.
Lo'ak parecia entretido,os olhos fechados e a cauda do omaticaya mechia levemente, quando percebeu o mesmo abriu os olhos rapidamente e olhou para [Nome] de maneira envergonhada.
O Alpha observou o ômega por um momento, e sorriu levemente em resposta ao seu ronronar.
O cheiro dos feromônios do na'vi eram fracos e poucos e estavam fracos, mas mesmo assim o Metkayina sentia o cheiro de animação dele.
— E agora? — Ele perguntou.
— Faça o tsaheylu. —
Ele fez o vínculo e o ilu treme um pouco, Lo'ak tremeu e a respiração dele acelerou levemente.
— Diga a ela o que fazer, com sua mente. — Assim que o alpha fecha a boca ele sai correndo no ilu. Lo'ak ainda não é muito bom em montar um, obviamente.
Ele cai do ilu e logo depois nada até o topo,[Nome] soltou uma leve risada ao ver da maneira que o outro nadava e fez uma anotação mental para corrigir o jeito nas aulas.
— Por Eywa, eu não sabia que seria tão rápido! — Ele diz , e em resposta você dá uma risada e o abraça, como se fosse um gatilho,como antes Lo'ak solta um ronronar alto.
— Você foi bem! Pela primeira montando em um Ilu.
— [NOME] — O citado se vira para ver Ronal em pé na praia.
"Hora do treino para Tsahik ".
— Me desculpe, eu preciso ir agora,mas qualquer coisa só pergunta a Tsireya que ela fala onde eu moro. — Com um sorriso nos lábios você tira uma pulseira de conchas de seu pulso e coloca no pulso de Lo'ak. — Agora somos oficialmente amigos!
⊱───────⊰✯⊱───────⊰
[Nome] se aproximou lentamente de Ao'nung, sentindo o perfume adocicado da pele dele.
Ele sabia exatamente o que queria fazer e, com cuidado, levou seus lábios até o o rosto do ômega. A respiração dos dois se misturou enquanto [Nome] continuava a beijar suavemente a pele macia de Aonung, o cobrindo com os próprios feromônios.
E por fim o Alpha depositou um beijo carinhoso no rosto do ômega. Logo em seguida, entregou a ele uma pulseira com um sorriso no rosto.
— Obrigado, é tão bela. — Ele disse sorrindo, agradeceu e colocou a pulseira em seu pulso, sentindo o calor de sua pele.
Com um sorriso nos lábios você mostrou sua própria pulseira de conchas, igualzinha a de Ao'nung.
O momento foi tão doce e especial que Ao'nung agradeceu em silêncio a Eywa por ter [Nome] em sua vida, um Alpha gentil e carinhoso,ambos eram totalmente opostos, enquanto [Nome] era a calmaria ele a tempestade.
⊱───────⊰✯⊱───────⊰
Umas semanas se passaram, e elas foram um inferno para os jovens Sully's, a única coisa - pessoa - que eles consideravam boa era o Alpha.
Todos se sentiam confortáveis perto de [Nome], parecia que algo quentinho os cobria, o Metkayina é alguém muito amigável, acolhedor e que traz paz e harmonia ao ambiente.
Sempre que estão juntos, os irmãos Sully 's se sentem à vontade para serem eles mesmos e compartilharem suas ideias e sentimentos com [Nome], contava sobre a floresta e o alpha sempre parecia tão interessado.
As semanas deles se tornaram impossíveis foram por culpa dele , Ao'nung, que nunca parava de incomodar os irmãos, especialmente Kiri e Lo'ak, mas também começou a implicar com Neteyam.
O futuro Olo'eyktan não gostava nem um pouco da proximidade dos irmãos Sullys - Lo'ak e Neteyam - querendo ou não eram seus instintos e quando viu que ambos estavam muitos estranhos para cima de [Nome] ele entendeu.
O Metkayina estava andando, molhando seus pés na água, em sua mão tinha três pulseiras de pérolas, você terminou de amarrar a última cordinha quando seu nariz captou vários cheiros diferentes.
Um cheiro forte do mar, misturado com dois cheiros de sylang's diferentes que encontrava na floresta e você conhece os donos dos feromônios.
[Nome] rapidamente seguiu os cheiros, chegando no momento exato de ver Ao'nung e seus amigos lutando contra Neteyam e Lo'ak.
Eles parecem idiotas lutando e conhecendo o ômega que está prometido.
O alpha se aproximou ainda mais deles, deixando seus feromônios saírem livremente, mostrando o cheiro forte e amargo que significa vergonha e decepção.
Ao perceber várias conchas espalhadas [Nome] percebeu que era da pulseira que tinha feito para o ômega.
Suas orelhas se abaixaram e quando Kiri te viu ela se aproximou de você e entregou a concha maior que tinha na pulseira - agora arrebentada de Ao'nung.
— Aqui, desculpe… Foi a única que eu consegui segurar.
[Nome] sorriu levemente, passando as mãos sobre as ondulações da concha.
— Obrigado Kiri. — Ele entregou uma pulseira de pérolas a ela.
— Agora, eu posso saber que caralhos é isso?! — O Alpha falou de maneira alta olhando para eles, todos param quando te veem e logo sentem seu cheiro, parecia que a briga tinha os entretido.
— Alpha, eu…
— Eu sei que você vai mentir para escapar,estou decepcionado. — Ele viu a concha em sua mão, logo depois viu as conchas da pulseira espalhada e o seu olhar acusador.
Ao'nung não pode deixar de abaixar as orelhas e te olhar de forma chorosa, [Nome] parou de liberar os próprios feromônios.
— Mas…
— Eu não quero ouvir isso. — Disse olhando para ele. — E guarde seu cheiro. — O alpha se vira para Kiri, que sorria feliz com a pulseira, você entrega as outras pra ela e explica de quem é quem.
— Kiri o que aconteceu? — O Metkayina pergunta a ela, e a cada fala que saía da boca da na'vi, você sentia seu sangue esquentar.
— Vocês têm sorte, irei fazer questão de contar tudo para seus pais! Principalmente para Tonowari.
Todos acenam e abaixam a cabeça, [Nome] via eles tremerem e quase chorarem e realmente tinha motivos, o Alpha era alguém amável e cuidadoso, ver esse lado sério era novidade.
Ao'nung se levantou e se aproximou de você, quando ele ia te tocar você se afastou.
— Eu não quero mais brigas entre vocês todos, ok? E sim Ao'nung, eu contarei aos seus pais pois o futuro líder não pode ter esse tipo de comportamento. Vocês precisam se dar bem porque eles são um de nós agora — [Nome] fala olhando para seu prometido e seus amigos.
— Agora vão!
Quando foram liberados, todos correram de volta possivelmente para o colinho da mamãe.
— Você também Ao'nung!
Um pouco receoso e com o rosto choroso, Aonung saiu e você foi ajudar os dois Sullys a se levantar.
— Peço perdão pelo comportamento do meu companheiro. — O Metkayina se curvou lentamente.
— [Nome], não precisa! Você não tem que assumir a culpa de algo que não fez. — Neteyam falou colocando a mão em seu ombro.
— Verdade, se alguém que precisa se desculpar é aquele beiço de peixe! — Lo'ak falou irritado, o Alpha não pode deixar de rir baixinho.
— Mesmo assim, peço perdão. Eu irei avisar os pais de cada um sobre o comportamento e falarei com o Tsahik. —
Kiri entregou as pulseiras que você tinha feito para Neteyam, mas ainda ficou com uma pequena na mão - que era de Tuk -.
— Posso acompanhar vocês até o Marui?
Os três concordaram felizes, e vocês quatro foram para onde a família Sully está morando.
[Nome] se despediu de cada um, mas ao terminar de dar tchau a Tuk, Jake Sully apareceu.
— [Nome]? Você está por aqui? A algo que meus filhos aprontaram? — Ele perguntou, olhando brevemente para os três que te acompanharam.
— Não Toruk Makto, eu que peço perdão pelo comportamento de Ao'nung. — O Metkayina se curvou levemente. — Meu parceiro chamou Kiri de aberração enquanto ela apenas aproveitava a brisa fresca, Lo'ak e Neteyam fizeram certo em defender a irmã. — você arrumou sua postura e olhou de forma séria para Jake. — Vou informar a cada um que participou da palhaçada, isso não voltará a acontecer.
Você se despediu e com a mesma expressão séria caminhou pela praia em direção ao marui dos líderes mas acabou dando de cara com um Ao'nung choroso.
— É melhor deixá-los em paz, Ao'nung. Não tolero como você trata eles e nunca vou tolerar.
Ele levantou as mãos e tentou encostar em você, mas [Nome] deu um passo para trás.
— Calma, eu não fiz nada de errado…
[Nome] zombou disso e se afastou ainda mais dele.
— Não fez? Ao'nung! É a mesma coisa de eu zuar você e te chamar como peixe! Só pelo fato que vivemos em um clã que faz parte da água!
[Nome] lançou um último olhar para ele, e foi até Olo'eyktan e Tsahìk Aonung podia ser seu parceiro mas você não passaria a mão na cabeça dele por isso.
Ele seria o futuro Olo'eyktan e precisava mudar para ser um líder bom.
Blessing
Pairing- Ao'nung x Sully!reader
Summary- You are the twin sister of Lo'ak who is the complete opposite of each other, and when you move with the Metkayina you caught someones eye.
A/N- This was a request
You are the complete opposite of your twin brother, his was rambunctious you were always calm, he was rebellious you were obedient somewhat. He wanted to fight you wanted to collect plants make medicine help to heal people. But somehow you fit each other just right, he was your best friend as you were his.
One time Lo'ak got into major trouble and at communal dinner someone made a joke calling you "the better twin." And it irked you to the bone. "That's not funny." You would say before returning to your previous conversation. And with all of this your father was very protective sometimes you think it's because he sees your Uncle Tommy in you doesn't wanna lose you how he lost Tommy, he never does talk about your uncle but you can just feel it.
When you had to move to the Metkayina clan it was hard but you tried your best to be happy. And when you got there it was nothing like you expected. They said you had demon blood, that hurt but you deflected it as much as you could. And then there was Ao'nung, when he first saw you he thought that his heart was going to explode in his chest your beauty was undeniable. But he was a big teaser at you and your siblings but his sister smacked some sense into him.
He would leave flirty remarks, "Looking good Y/N." When you would swim or, "How's my favorite forest girly doing." He would say or your personal favorite, "Pretty girl." and you would just reply kindly, with a "Thank you Ao'nung." Or a small, "I am fine how are you." and that just wrapped him into your love spell deeper.
Then he started to help you with things, even when you didn't need it. He just wanted a reason to be close with you. You thought he was just being helpful, but sometimes you couldn't help but get butterflies in your stomach when his hand would graze yours when lifting something into the docks, or when he addressed you as pretty girl and it drove you insane.
And now he here he was looking at his reflection making sure his hair was right before he went to talk to your father, Jake Sully. The Toruk Makto. Hell yeah he was scared but it would all be worth it. He walked into your families mauri only Jake was there sharpening his dagger. Ao'nung gulped a wad of saliva. His palms were sweaty and sweat threatened to spill all over his body.
He took a deep breath composing himself. "Hello Jake." Ao'nung spoke bringing his fingers from his forehead outward towards Jake as a sign of respect. "Ao'nung." Jake spoke suspiciously. "If you are looking for any of my kids I do not know except Y/N she's out collecting pearls for her little sister." He said sighing afterwards.
"No sir I just came to ask you something important." Ao'nung said Jake stood up at the seriousness in the younger males voice. "Yes of course what is it." Jake said. "I would like to ask for your blessing to court your daughter." Ao'nung spoke quickly and swiftly. And it seemed all the color drained from Jake's face. "M-my d-daughter Kiri?!?" Jake said running his hands over his face distraught. "No! Not Kiri, Y/N." Ao'nung corrected the male.
Jake turns to him, protective dad overload. And just before he could speak you walked in. "Hello fathe- Ao'nung, hey." You say indigo painting your face as Ao'nung says hello doing the forehead motion to you as he did to Jake, but Jake could tell he was flirting, right in front of him!
Jake looks at the interaction dread filling him. "What are you doing here?" You ask softly putting a bag filled with pearls down looking at him. "Oh I was just asking your father," Ao'nung took a deep breath once again before telling him he was asking for your father blessing. "His blessing to court you." He said turning back to his father.
A sense of excitement and happiness could be felt anyone in a ten foot radius of you. You looked at your father huge smile plastered on your face shaking your head up and down, yes. Your father took one deep breath and closed his eyes before he spoke, "Yes, you have my blessing." Jake said and Ao'nung turned to you and gave you a smile just as big as yours. "But," your dad said making you turn your attention to him. "You don't go anywhere alone I was a teenager not long ago I know what's going through that pea sized brain and I am not, repeat not having a baby under this roof, so help me god I will kill yo-" "Dad!" You yell stopping the threats being thrown at a shocked Ao'nung.
Oh and, when your brothers found out you were being courted all hell broke loose. "How could you let my baby sister be courted but that fish boy!" Neteyam spoke. "I am not a baby." You say as you finish separating fruits as your mother instructed you to. "I refuse to be brothers with that fish." Lo'ak said shaking his head. "I'm not happy about it either but if he makes her happy then let it be." Your father said to them. "Oh you are acting like children." You say throwing a price of fruit at your father.
— pairings : ao'nung x fem!metkayina!reader.
— warnings : avatar the way of water spoilers. small arguments. bruises. mentions of death. very horrible way of confessing.
— author's note : so i searched up what cheeky actually meant, i was so heartbroken when i learned it actually wasn't what i thought it meant☹.. anyways enjoy ! i love ao'nung sm so i love this request<3 ty for requesting this !
You were sort of known as an 'it girl' in your village if you were to describe it in modern ways. No matter where you go, who you were with, you were always the same kind of lady everyone would talk about.
Elegant, graceful, admirable and compassionate. Not to mention attractive.
That had always been how the village folks describes you, and you never had a problem with it. It started when you were fairly young, adults would come around you and your parents and share how they think you'd grow to be such a fine lady. And you did.
But you weren't only compassionate, 'soft and gentle'. You were also fierce and bold when you had to. You'd do anything for your family, even if it'd have to ruin your perfect image.
By the day you were fourteen, you learned from your parents that you have been set as a mate of the clan leaders son, Ao'nung. You were still young, and you didn't know what or how to react, but you didn't have a problem with it since you'd only be his mate once you both are old enough.
Still though, you were fairly upset that you couldn't be free and choose a man or woman of your own.
Ao'nung wasn't all that bad. He did have a ruthless side to him, but he does show you some decent qualities of himself whenever it's just you two. The village people are already aware about how you two were set to be mates when you're of age, but that certainly didn't stop na'vi's your age from showing themselves off for you.
You and Ao'nung's sister, Tsireya had also gotten close considering both of the 'popularity' you two had. Tsireya had only heard talks and gossips about you from the beginning, but she never got the change to talk to you. That was, until Ao'nung introduced you to her.
You two were basically platonic soulmates. You adored the girl so much, probably more than you adored Ao'nung. You two basically acted like sisters with eachother, always seen laughing and gossiping together like you're still cheeky little girls.
But back to the present.
You trailed behind Tsireya after she dramatically emerged from the waters, watching as she swiftly finds her way to her brother and his friend, Rotxo. She scolds him, slapping his hand away as he was pointing at two boys' tails, and instantly the duo shuts up.
You turn to look at the two boys, seeing as they were trying hard to ignore the teasing of your two friends. The shorter one of the two boys nods his head at Tsireya, speaking up a short; "hey,"
The girl beside you giggles with a cheeky smile, and you smugly grinned at her, teasing her with small nudges of your shoulders.
You watched as the siblings father, Tonowari, fly down into the water his spear raised up high in confidence. You smiled at his presence, and then you noticed a figure slip past from behind you. You turn to see Ao'nung walking past you, and towards his father.
He gives you a look, gesturing movements with his hands that just screamed, 'follow me'.
And to which you did. You took light steps towards him while you still paid attention to Tonowari's conversation with the Omaticaya clan leader, Jake Sully.
"We are reef people, you are forest people. Your skills will be nothing here." You heard him speak.
You saw Ao'nung's mother walk to where the Omaticayas where, circling them as she was examining something. She looked at the arms and touched their tails. She stopped by a small child, and you watched as the poor girl look at her mother in worry.
"Their arms are thin. Their tails," the girl winced a small 'ow', shoving the Tsahìk's hands away from her tail. "Are weak." Ronal finishes.
"You'll be slow in the water." She stoicly spoke, her eyes looking down at something. She grabbed the girls hand before speaking up again. "These children.. are not even true na'vi." She reveals the girls hands, and you heard gasps ring around you.
"Yes we are!" The girl harshly says, pulling her hand away from Ronals hold.
The woman walks to another direction, towards the two boys and immediately grabbed the shorter ones hands. "They have demon blood!" She exclaims. The na'vi around you gasped, and started hissing, making you worry.
Their father speaks up for their children as they hung their heads down in shame. "—I was born of the sky people, and now I am not. Alright you can adapt!" He says, trying not to come off as threatening.
"My husband was Toruk Makto." A tall woman perks up, and you immediately saw her husband make a face at her words. You slightly grin, biting your lip at their chemistry.
"He lead the clans to victory against the sky people."
"This is what you call victory? Hiding amongst strangers?" Ronal immediately retorts. The woman looks down at her words as Tsahìk nears her.
"It seems eywa has turned her back on you, chosen one." She turned to the clan leader, and in an instant his wife hissed at Ronal.
You looked at Ao'nung secretly, wondering what his thoughts on this scene was right now.
"I apologize for my mate, chief."
"Do not apologize."
"We've come a long way and she's exhausted." — "Jake!"
Tonowari looks at the three, making sure they were done before stepping in to speak. "Toruk Makto was a great war leader. All na'vi people know his stories." He gestured to the clan members around, putting a hand on the man's shoulders. "But we Metkayina, are not at war." He assures the people.
"We cannot let you bring your war here." He spoke as he turned to the Omaticaya clan leader.
"I'm done with war. Okay? I just wanna keep my family safe." Jake says as he places a hand in his youngest daughter's back. You looked at them sympathetically, wondering what decision Tonowari and Ronal would make.
"Uturu has been asked." Says the woman.
You observed as the scene went silent, and Tonowari turned to look at his wife, letting him know of her decision.
"Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters. They do not know the sea. So they will he like babies taking their first breath."
"Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the same of being useless." You bit your lip at his bold words, wincing slightly.
Jake sighs, turning to his daughter as the girl looked up at Tonowari gratefully. "What do we say?"
"Thank you."
My son Ao'nung, our daughter Tsireya will show you daughter what to do." Tonowari informs, hid hand pointing at the said siblings. Ao'nung looked at him in confusion before coming up to question him.
"Father why—?"
"It has been decided." He cuts Ao'nung off.
"Come! I will show you our village." Tsireya speaks up, swiftly moving towards the other clan and greeted them with a big smile. Tonowari turns to you as you grasped Ao'nung's hand, rubbing it in reassurance.
"You're free to help those children as well, child." He informed you, and you just nodded your head, bowing slightly.
Ao'nung sighed before letting go of your hand, wrapping it around you shoulders instead. "Let's go back to meet Tsireya." He says, walking to the direction where the girl and the other clan went to.
You held a small girl who you knew as Tuktirey as you watched his brother try to make a bond with an ilu while Ao'nung stuck close with his sister.
"It's just like you're riding an Ikran, but a different species and on the ocean." You told him, attempting to make a conversation with the boy to make things less awkward. You flashed him a smile as he only nodded, nervous.
"Be careful of how fast you go. It's your first time, so you're definitely not used to it yet. The pressure of the water is different from the air when riding after all." You informed him, watching as he listened closely.
"How about you try leading him above the water first? It's simpler that way." You instructed, your hand brushing on the boys Ilu.
"..what's your name?"
You looked at him as he questioned you this. You slightly grinned at his shy expression, and it made you wonder how long he's been waiting to ask you that.
"(name)." You answered. He nods, smiling slightly. "It's nice to meet you, (name)." He bows his head, almost falling off his Ilu in the process. You softly laugh at his clumsiness, your voice ringing in his ears.
Ao'nung turns at the sound of your laughter, seeing you and that four fingered boy talking and smiling at eachother. He scrunched his nose, clicking his tongue before averting his gaze, displeased by the sight of you smiling because of another boy.
You irritatedly looked at Ao'nung's face, face scrunched at the sight of his bruises. "Why would pick a fight on Sully's kids?" You hissed out of concern, but at the same time scolding him. He puffs out a breath, rolling his eyes and looking away as you treated the bruise on his face.
"He blew the first hit. Not me." He corrected you, still avoiding his gaze.
Your hand and the herbs your holding moved away from his face, and you pursed your lips tightly. "From what I heard, you were picking on Kiri and called the siblings freaks. Why did you do that?"
"It's true. Didn't you see how they had four fingers and a thumb? They're not real, (name)."
"It's still not right to act like that, Ao'nung. You should treat them like that just because they're different." You lectured him before you continued to dab a few more healing herbs on his face.
"Why would you care now? You didn't care before when I picked on someone. Why are the Sully's any different?" He questioned you, looking at you suspiciously.
You sighed, putting the herbs away. "Because they're my friends. I care about them." Ao'nung scoffs at your response, standing up.
"Yeah right. You just met them yesterday, (name). They might seem nice now, but you wouldn't know. They may be plotting something." Ao'nung retorts.
"Don't talk about them like that."
"It's about that boy, isn't it?" Ao'nung questioned you, catching you off guard. He crouched down to your level as you were sitting on the ground, intently watching your expression.
"I'm sorry? What boy?"
"That eldest Sully. I saw how you were getting comfortable with him earlier, you think i wouldn't?"
"Neteyam..? He's a friend, Ao'nung." He scoffs again, standing up from his crouched position and walking away irritatedly. Your gaze followed where he left, and you looked down at the bowl of herbs on your lab sympathetically.
"Greatmother, what will I do with that boy.."
"I wish I had been there. The ocean blessed you with a gift, brother."
Your group and the Sully siblings had been gathered around somewhere in the village. Lo'ak as telling you the story of when he was lead to the three brothers rocks and almost died, but fortunately a tulkun saved him.
You sat next to Neteyam, but you were also beside Ao'nung. He was standing and leaning on a tree, though. It seemed as if he was avoiding you.
"The tulkuns have not returned yet. And anyway mo tulkun is ever alone." He made gestures with his hand. He leaned forward, and you watched as his necklace that always clung onto his collarbone swing back and forth at the motion.
"This one was." Lo'ak spoke. "He had a missing fin. Like a stump on the left side."
Your eyes widen in realization, "Payakan. Lo'ak, you just met Payakan." You told the boy, nonexistent brows slightly furrowing. Ao'nung turns at the sound of your voice, but pettily looks away.
Neteyam noticed this, and gave you a questioning look. You only shrugged your shoulders, making gestures with your hand to just leave him be.
"Who's payakan?"
"A young bull who went rogue. He's outcast, alone, and has a missing fin." Rotxo answers Kiri's question.
"They say he is a killer." Tsireya tells the boy beside her, looking at him worridly. Lo'ak shakes his head, muttering a small 'no' before getting cut off my Ao'nung.
"He killed na'vi and other tulkuns." Says the boy. "Not here, but far to the south." You and Neteyam exchanged looks, and you turned to see what Lo'ak was feeling.
The boy immediately shots down the accusations of his new friend being a killer. "Lo'ak, you're lucky to be alive." Tsireya's voice falters.
"I'm telling you guys he saved my life," Lo'ak attempts to convince the group. "He's my friend."
Neteyam stands up, and at those actions Ao'nung gestures you to stand up and come beside him. You did as what you were told, leaning your head on his shoulders as you watched the two brothers interact.
"The mighty warrior who faced a killer tulkun and lived to tell about it." He teased the boy, both hands coming up to his brothers shoulders as he puts his weight on the younger boy.
Lo'ak hissed, pushing his brother away. The boy stands up from his position, putting a hand up in exasperation. "You guys aren't listening."
"Lo'ak— I'm listening." You heard Tuktirey call out for her brother. Your tongue clicked at her attempts to try to make her brother feel heard, looking at her sympathetically.
"Lo'ak, come back."
"..is it weird that I believe him..?" You perked up after the boy leaves. The group turns to look at you after your statement, looking at you as if you were crazy.
"I mean.. he couldn't like about something like that, yknow? How would he when know about Payakans existence in the first place?"
"He met Payakan and he survived? Are you hearing yourself right now, (name)?" Ao'nung questions incredulously. You sighed, rubbing your shoulders as you removed your head from the boys shoulders.
"The possibility isn't impossible. If he actually saw Payakan then he wouldn't even be here anymore. He'd be dead. He couldn't possibly fight against that creature especially when he has nothing to defend himself with."
Ao'nung looks at you incredulously. His sister steps in after the both of you have a glaring competition, pulling you away from her brother and distracting you with flowers.
You looked down at the water beneath you with a peaceful smile, throwing petals on the clear liquid from the flowers Tsireya placed on your hair earlier. You and Ao'nung had split ways earlier, once again without saying anything.
You didn't know what was happening to the both of you, but you were just being pulled apart the past few days by a nonexistent force.
Biting your lip, you wondered where it went wrong. The flowers on your hand remained there was you thought carefully. A few days ago, he showed signs of jealousy just because you shared a few laughs with Neteyam.
And then you got into another argument because of how he almost got Lo'ak killed, and then what happened earlier with the Payakan thing was another one.
So yes, it's safe to say it went downhill when the Sully's showed up. You can't blame the Sully's though.
You were too lost in your thought to notice the boy you were just thinking about approach you and take a seat right beside you. He looks at you, noticing that you weren't paying attention and was lost in thought. He fakes a cough, and nudges your shoulder with his own.
You snapped out of your train of thoughts, looking at him in surprise. Your body slightly shifted from the thick woven material you sat on, facing the boy. "What are you doing here?" You asked him, your fingers subconsciously curling around the flowers that peacefully sat on your hand. You didn't crush it though, not wanted to destroy its pretty petals.
Ao'nung looks at the water as his feet got wet from it, swinging it back and forth. "I wanted to check up on you." He says, his eyes not leaving the soft moving waters.
You took the chance to admire the sharp features on his face, from his jaw and to his cheekbones. Your head leaned against his shoulders, your soft and slightly wet hair touching his skin.
"Alright." You simply responded, letting out a small exhale. Ao'nung glances at you, seeing how you were looking up at the stars.
"..I also want to apologize." He perks up after the silence. He hears you let out a breathy chuckle, and he feels your body slightly shift. He hopes you don't move your head away from his shoulder, and he let's out a relieved exhale when you don't.
"Apologize? For?"
Ao'nung bobs his head around for a few seconds, "Yknow.. for being an asshole to the siblings. And to you." He eventually says.
"Well I forgive you. But you shouldn't be apologizing to me for the siblings." You respond to him, a hand coming to touch his arm and you patted on it gently.
"And I'm also sorry for not being understanding and always shutting you out when you confront me about my behavior." He ignores your words, continuing to apologize to you. He shifts slightly, removing his gaze from the water and finally facing you.
"Ao'nung—"
"No, listen to me. I'm apologizing for my wrongs okay? I was such an asshole back then, I not only did others wrong, but also you. I should've tried to be a better person to you back then and stopped treating you like trash. But—"
"There's a but?" You cut him off, looking at him incredulously. He grins slightly at your words, trying to get back to his point.
"I was dealing with my feelings. You know what cheesy romantic stuff and all. Yeah I was basically going through that. I was pushing you away because figuring out if I.. liked you or not."
"And a few days ago— I was jealous. I didn't like how close you and that sullys eldest son gotten and I accidentally hurt your feelings in the process. I'm such a bitch, aren't I?"
"No you aren't." You shook your head, holding his hand reassuringly. He looks at you with a 'seriously?' face, and you pursed your lips. "You kind of are, but there's still hope that you'll change." You sweetly smiled, bringing his hand you're holding up to your bottom lip.
"So.. you forgive me?" He asks you, anticipating your answer. You nodded at his question, still smiling.
"You weren't that all bad to me. You were mostly nice to me after all, you were only mean to me when there's other people."
"But I was still a bitch."
"Mhm." You cooed, your hand falling back to your lap. You grabbed one of the flowers that you left on your lap, gently holding it in between your fingers and placed it on Ao'nung's hair. You giggled at his confusion, watching as he held up his hand to where you placed the flower.
He grins when he realized what it was, nudging your side with his hand, slightly tickling you. You two shared a few laughs together, eachothers voices filling up the silence of the village, no shame in disturbing the people sleeping near your area.
Your laughter died down, and Ao'nung leaned his weight onto you. He leaned his head onto of yours, looking like he was trying to say something but was hesitant.
"I don't know if now is the right time, but I have something to confess." Your heart skipped a beat at his words, thinking of every possible outcomes on what he meant by that.
"You don't have to respond right now, but I simply cannot keep it to myself anymore—"
"Get to the point!" You hissed, anticipating his words. There was only one thing on your mind right now, and one only.
Ao'nung clears his throat at your hiss, trying to his his smile. "I know I haven't been the best, but I am willing to change. (name) (fullname), i like you, would you be—"
"Yes!"
"I haven't finished yet—"
"Yes! Greatmother, yes! Took you long enough." You laughed loudly, wrapping your arms around his shoulders as you engulfed him into a tight embrace. Ao'nung's hand holds your back as you both slip down from the woven material, and onto the waters with a splash.
You both come up from the water, breathing loudly as you flicked your hair away from your face. Ao'nung chuckles at your enthusiasm, looking at you fondly as you gave him the biggest grin you've ever had.
"I'm so happy." You cooed, pressing your forehead against his ad you let the cool waters relax you. Ao'nung's hand wrapped around your waist as he pulls you closer, biting his lip as he smiled cheekily.
"Is this your way of saying you like me too? Pulling me into the water?" He teases you, and you let out a breathy chuckle, nodding your head.
One of his hand comes to your cheek, thumb caressing your skin as he pressing a kiss on your forehead.
"Mmm, you missed, silly." You cheekily grin, peaking at him with mischievousness. Ao'nung snorted at your words, softly hitting your back as he hides his face from the curve of your neck.
| best friend's brother |
aged up ao’nung x f!reader
summary: ao'nung has always just been your best friend's annoying older brother. at least that's what you tell yourself. but lately he's been moody and far more interested in your love life than he should be. when you discover that he's been playing a role in your failed courtships, you decide to confront him about it.
includes: fluff, swearing, teasing, possessiveness, ao'nung being oblivious🙄
word count: 6.5k
a/n: i am so sorry it took me foreverrrr to write this😵💫 it's not great, but it's all i got right now. i have a break from school coming up so hopefully i can catch up on some other fics i've been working on but we will see whether or not i can get over this serious writer's block🥲
“Reya! Reya!” You called, waving your arms erratically as you jogged over, a wide grin decorating your face. Your best friend was standing ankle-deep in the water along with a few of your other friends and the Sully kids. They turned in attention as you splashed toward them, eyebrows raised in amusement.
“[Y/N]! What is it?” Tsireya asked, a matching grin spreading on her face when she noticed your excitement. “Just give me a second, Lo’ak.” She briefly turned her attention back to the Omaticaya boy, indicating that she would return to their conversation later. He flushed slightly, nodding before you grabbed Tsireya’s hand and pulled her to the side. Everyone appeared to go back to their conversation, though you suspected they were going to listen in anyway. You didn’t seem to care.
“Reya!” You squealed, almost unable to get the news out, just smiling and giggling while Tsireya laughed. “You’ll never guess what just happened!”
“Tell me already!” She pleaded, grasping your shoulders as if to ground you.
“Atey’ete just asked me to go out riding with him tomorrow!” It came out in one big breath, your enthusiasm obvious in your tone.
“Oh! That’s great news!” She gasped, bouncing a little. She knew how much this meant to you, considering your history. He was the first guy who’d ever actually approached you with anything more than the intention of friendship, and it felt like your heart was going to explode. While many Metkayina males had shown initial interest in the past, they always seemed to move on quickly, some going as far as to completely avoid you afterward.
“Yes! I can’t believe it!” You laughed, doing a silly little dance that made you and Tsireya burst out laughing. However, the reality of the situation had begun to sink in. Your smile faltered. “I’m kind of nervous, Reya.” You bit your lip, suddenly thinking about how inexperienced you were in this area. Tsireya put her hand on your arm.
“What for?” Her eyes were reassuring, and you softened a little. “It’s obvious that he likes you, [Y/N]. He’s been staring at you with hearts for eyes for weeks now!”
“No way!” You let out a breathy laugh, blushing deeply.
“I agree. There’s no way that’s true.” Tsireya’s older brother, Ao’nung, suddenly inserted himself in your conversation, moving to stand closer to you with that perpetual smirk of his. “Atey’ete is a warrior. He’s looking for a potential mate, not a stupid fling.” His words made your heart sink in your chest, your excitement ebbing away.
“Ao’nung!” Tsireya chastised, glaring daggers at the boy. “Just because you haven’t found a mate yet doesn’t mean you need to take out your frustration on [Y/N]!” She hissed. Though it was brief, you could have sworn you saw a pointed look pass between the siblings, indicating Tsireya’s words were about more than just Ao’nung teasing you. You shrugged it off as something that didn’t involve you.
“Just saying.” Ao’nung shrugged, putting his hands up in surrender; ever the cool and unbothered warrior. Eywa forbid anyone see him display an emotion other than that smooth self-confidence. It made you roll your eyes, but you were used to it. Growing up as Tsireya’s best friend just happened to come with the added factor of dealing with her brother. As a kid, he had simply been an annoyance, someone who found joy in pestering you and his sister. But growing up, and specifically completing his Iknimaya, had changed him. It was like he stopped having a personality in favour of being what you and Tsireya secretly called 'King Ao’nung' because everyone seemed to fall at the feet of the future Olo’eyktan despite his bad attitude.
“Why don’t you just go stare at your muscles in the reflection of the water?” You quipped, trying your best to seem nonchalant about the conversation. You liked how much it seemed to get under his skin when you acted like you didn’t care.
“Whatever.” He scoffed, turning to stalk back over to Rotxo and Lo’ak. You sighed, turning your gaze back to your friend. “King Ao’nung strikes again.” The two of you burst out laughing for a second time, and it was easy to feel at least a little better.
“Why don’t we go back to my marui?” Tsireya suggested. “Dinner will be soon anyway, and we can talk more about your date without my pest of a brother interrupting.” She said the last part loudly, shooting a hard look over her shoulder at the tall Metkayina. He just narrowed his eyes, holding his stare even as the two of you began to walk away. You could feel his eyes practically boring through your back. It made your stomach flip.
“What’s his problem?” You muttered when you were out of ear shot, briefly looking back once more to try and decipher why on earth Ao’nung still looked so agitated. Beside you, Tsireya nervously tucked her hair behind her ear. She only did that when she had a secret, which intrigued you.
“He’s just grouchy because he hasn’t found a mate yet and our parents keep asking about it. I think it’s stressing him out.” She explained. You frowned, eyebrows furrowing.
“Fine, but he could seriously have anyone he wants. Even without his status in the clan, pretty much everyone is drooling over him. It’s gross.” You said, making a face. For some reason a knot formed in your stomach when you thought about the way some girls fawned over him. You quickly tried to forget about the feeling.
“Yes… But my parents keep suggesting potential mates and trying to set things up for him, which he doesn’t like. He has someone in mind already, but he’s convinced she doesn’t like him.” She confessed, looking around as if someone might be listening. Your face felt hot suddenly, but you didn’t understand why.
“Who is it?”
“I promised I wouldn’t tell.”
“Oh come on, Reya! It’s not like I have anyone else to tell anyway! I’ll keep my mouth shut, I promise.” You pleaded, feeling an involuntary urge to get the information out of her.
“I’m sorry- I can’t say. It’s a really sore subject for him and he’d kill me if anyone else knew.” Your best friend looked genuinely apologetic, and your heart sunk. It wasn’t like her to keep anything from you- even big secrets- but you decided not to pry. The thought of Ao’nung finding out and getting mad at Tsireya was not something you wanted to be the cause of. Still, you found yourself aching to know who he had his eye on. In all the time you had been around him, he’d never shown much romantic interest in anyone, so the mystery seemed impossible to even attempt to figure out.
“So… Atey’ete, huh?” Tsireya changed the subject, nudging you with an elbow and a small grin. You allowed yourself to fall into the easy conversation concerning your crush, hoping it would help you stop thinking about your best friend’s stupid older brother.
The next day seemed to drag on forever as your long-awaited date with Atey'ete approached. The two of you had agreed to meet on the beach a little bit before sunset, and though it was nearly dinner time, it felt like you still had years to wait.
"Ugh." You huffed quietly, fingers becoming tangled in one of the fishing nets you were helping Tsireya mend. You normally weren't too bad at weaving, but your nerves were getting the better of you. Tsireya giggled.
"Why don't we leave this for tomorrow and go get some dinner?" She suggested, offering you a sympathetic smile, though laughter danced in her eyes. You smiled back in spite of yourself, allowing a small laugh to escape your lips.
"Yes please." You wasted no time in dropping the half-fixed net and hastily cleaning up the area. Nothing was going to take your nervousness away, but Ronal's cooking had a particularly good effect on you even at the worst of times. You could have sworn you ate with Tsireya's family more often than your own.
As the two of you approached Tsireya's marui, you noticed Ao'nung leaning with his back against the outside wall, arms crossed and sporting his usual impassive expression. If you didn't know any better, you might have thought he was on the lookout for you and his sister.
"You know your friends aren't around, right? You can drop the whole 'I'm better than everyone else' act." You said, wanting to distract yourself from your flip-flopping stomach. Over the years you had learned that the best form of amusement came from riling Ao'nung up. When his ears flicked back in annoyance, you bit back a satisfied smirk. However, he was able to ignore the dig.
"Didn't think you'd be here tonight. Aren't you going to be late for a really lame date?" He asked coolly. Now it was your turn to be annoyed.
"Aren't you going to be late finding someone to be your mate? Oh wait..." You trailed off, pleased with such a quick and biting comeback. Something dark passed over his face before he narrowed his eyes.
"Very funny. Are you just bitter because he bailed on you?"
"We're not even doing anything until later, so keep dreaming." That was the best you could come up with as a slight inner panic seized you, amplifying your worry that Atey'ete would indeed bail on your date later. Similar occurrences in the past were enough reason to validate that, and Ao'nung knew it. In fact, most people seemed to know of your inability to be first choice. It stung, but you hurriedly swallowed the hurt, practiced in not thinking about it for too long.
"Grow up, brother." Tsireya finally said, shaking her head at him as you followed her past him and inside the marui. You heard him scoff behind you as he also ducked inside, the three of you taking your typical places among Ronal and Tonowari so you could eat together.
"What are the three of you bickering about this time?" Tonowari asked, an easy smile on his face.
Ao'nung was quick to answer. "I was just advising [Y/N] not to waste her time courting unworthy men." You and Tsireya rolled your eyes, holding in laughter. Ao'nung had a habit of talking himself up, especially to his father, and this time was no different. You didn't know how it was even possible to twist his snarky quips into something so dignified, but he always managed.
"Oh? And who is this unworthy man you are courting, [Y/N]?" Ronal gave you a knowing look, seeing through at least some of her son's thinly veiled attempt at saving face. You blushed deeply.
"Well, first, we definitely aren't courting," You started. "Atey'ete and I are just going out riding later."
"Oh! He's such a handsome boy!" Ronal exclaimed, nodding in approval.
"And an excellent young warrior." Tonowari chimed in, winking at you. You flushed again, fidgeting nervously with your fingers. Ronal continued to go on about your date, telling a story about some errand he had helped her with once, but it became difficult to pay her your full attention when you noticed the sour look that had settled on Ao'nung's face. In a matter of seconds, his self-assuredness had been replaced by intense irritation, his narrowed eyes downcast while he uncharacteristically picked over his food. You'd never seen him look so angry, and found yourself confused at how the topic of conversation had such an effect on him.
"Son?" Tonowari broke both of you out of your separate stupors, waiting patiently for Ao'nung to answer the clearly unheard question. The younger male carefully schooled his expression into something at least sort of neutral looking.
"Huh?"
"I was asking why you don't think Atey'ete would make a suitable mate for [Y/N]?"
Ao'nung suddenly choked on the bite of food he had just placed in his mouth, coughing as his eyed widened in shock. You were also rather shocked at Tonowari's question, though you hid it much better.
"M-mate?" Ao'nung finally managed, no longer coughing but still wearing the same stunned expression. "Don't you think it's a bit soon to be thinking about that? I mean, they probably haven't even talked to each other more than once!" His tone was laced with discontent.
"Well, you all are getting to an age where finding a mate is a priority. Even the beginnings of a courtship are to be taken seriously, Ao'nung." Ronal said patiently, though you could tell there was a double-meaning behind it, a bit more pressure to place on the shoulders of the eventual clan leader. You didn't think it was possible, but he looked even more annoyed than before.
"I know that. I was just saying I don't think they would be a good match." He grumbled. "I'm finished." He excused himself and quickly stood up before stalking outside. There was a tense moment of silence before Ronal spoke up.
"Please excuse him, [Y/N]. He has been having a hard time lately."
"Of course." You said politely, dipping your head down in understanding, though you were secretly perplexed and somewhat irked by his moodiness. You spent the rest of dinner no longer plagued by nervousness concerning Atey'ete, but rather entirely consumed by puzzling over Ao'nung and his strange behaviour.
After dinner you received a brief pep talk from Tsireya and an encouraging hug from Ronal before you set off to meet with Atey'ete. However, you couldn't seem to shake the conversation that had come up earlier. Ao'nung's childishness was confounding, certainly, but as you rapidly approached the date you’d once been over the moon excited about, you couldn't help but think of what Ronal and Tonowari had said about courting. They claimed that at your age it was serious- like had the potential to become mates serious- and that scared you more than you would like to admit. You'd spent so long being rejected by your male peers that when Atey'ete had approached you with interest, his ultimate intention never even crossed your mind. Why shouldn't I still be excited? You thought, trying to think of any logical reason as to why you were suddenly doubting this. Atey'ete was kind and thoughtful, funny and handsome; not to mention a well-respected member of the clan. If he was interested in you, why would you jeopardize it without reason?
As you waged your internal war, you grew increasingly annoyed, particularly at the fact that you kept picturing Ao'nung's face in the middle of it all. The way his lips curled into a frown at dinner. The spark of fire behind his eyes when the two of you had been trading insults beforehand. You wanted to bash a rock into your head to stop thinking about him. It wasn't even relevant to your current predicament! Ao'nung just had an infuriating ability to take up residence on your mind. So you decided to stop thinking entirely, becoming laser-focused on getting to the meeting place and not letting your mind wander anymore.
At first you were able to tell yourself that you were just early. The sky had only just become tinted an orangey pink when you arrived on the smooth stretch of white sand, finding a stray rock to sit and wait on. You had agreed to meet around sunset. It wasn't like it was an exact time.
When that excuse became irrelevant, you came up with the idea that Atey'ete was just running a little late. The sun was sinking closer and closer to the horizon line, the sky beginning to twist into hues of purple and darker blue. He led a busy life. He'd probably been caught up hunting later than usual.
But when the stars finally blinked into existence and the last sliver of light disappeared under the gentle ocean waves, you began to cry. It wasn't voluntary, and you tried to stop, but your efforts were in vain and you eventually allowed yourself to just stare at the waves lapping on the sand as hot tears trailed silently down your cheeks.
What was it about you that was so undesirable? And why did guys feel the need not only to reject you, but to rub salt in the wound by giving you hope in the first place? Whatever string that was holding you together seemed to fall away, your heart bleeding out of your chest onto your hands and legs and into the sand. You felt massacred in all but physical body, and you vowed that this would be your last heartbreak. Even spending the rest of your days alone seemed a better fate than this.
"I told you he was going to bail." You jumped at the suddenness of the low voice behind you, but instantly clocked who it was. Hostility and rage bubbled underneath your skin as you whipped your head around, baring your teeth in a silent hiss.
"Fuck off, Ao'nung!" You barked, not missing the brief worry that crossed his features as he assessed your condition. "You're the last person I want to talk to right now!"
"Really? I thought Atey'ete would be up higher on that list." He quirked an eyebrow.
"Don't be all King Ao'nung right now. I'm not in the mood for that version of you." You snipped, staring hard at him. He knew of the nickname you and Tsireya had for him, but he seemed surprised to hear you say it directly to him. It was usually a funny little joke, but all you wanted to do was direct your hurt onto someone else, and he happened to be the perfect target.
"Alright," His expression softened into something you hadn't seen in a long time. Something like pity. Maybe even something like empathy. "I'll be nice Ao'nung, then." He tentatively sat down beside you, his leg just barely touching yours. You tried to ignore the buzzing feeling that ignited in your stomach at the near contact.
"I didn't know nice Ao'nung still existed." You scoffed, pulling your knees up to your chest and wrapping your arms around them, resting your chin on top of them as you fixed your gaze on the dark ocean in front of you. He was still staring at you.
"Nobody wants a soft clan leader, [Y/N]."
"Being nice and being soft are two different things."
"Maybe."
"Do you really think that people won't respect you if you drop the walls you've built around yourself?"
"You don't know what it's like."
"No, I don't. But I do know what it's like to look up to you. To watch as you try to live up to your birthright." Your eyes flicked back to meet his, surprised by the vulnerability etched on his face. You hadn't realized how much you missed the boy you once knew. "I know it's not easy to be under so much pressure, but you don't have to change yourself to fit into some mold of the perfect little prince." You held each other's gaze in silence for a short time before a smile crept onto Ao'nung's lips.
"When did you become so wise?" He asked, nudging you gently.
"I've always been wise, skxawng. You just never cared to notice." You teased, still unsmiling but feeling slightly better. Something about this real version of him set you at ease. Something about him made you feel good, even if you wouldn’t admit it.
"I notice more about you than you think..." He mumbled, the words barely audible to you. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, sure that you heard him wrong.
"What?"
"I asked how long you've looked up to me for." He lied, trying to divert the conversation back a bit, a slight blush appearing on his cheeks. You studied him with narrowed eyes for a few seconds before deciding to let it go. You were actually kind of enjoying the deep conversation.
"Since always, I guess." You shrugged. "You may have been Tsireya's annoying older brother, but you also used to be thoughtful. And funny."
"I'm not funny anymore?"
"Don't push it." You said, eliciting a deep chuckle from Ao'nung. You smiled a bit in spite of yourself. "I just mean that you weren't going to become the Olo'eyktan one day just because of who your parents are. I always thought you were meant to be a great leader. Because of who you are. Because you care about everyone way more than you let on."
"Don't push it." He mimicked, this time making both of you laugh.
"Just stop being such a jerk, alright? Then maybe it won't be so hard to find a girl to like you." You grinned at him, ignoring the dull ache in your chest that your words incited. Ao'nung, however, quickly dropped his smile and fixed his gaze to the ground. It only lasted a few seconds before he changed the subject, but you felt stupid for calling him a jerk.
"Are you okay?" He asked, catching you off guard. You'd become so wrapped up in the current conversation that you forgot what originally brought you there in the first place.
"Oh- a-about the whole date thing?" You let out a breathy laugh, disappointed to be returning to such a sore subject. Thankfully it didn't hurt quite so bad anymore, though. "Yeah, no, definitely! I didn't actually care too much anyway so... It's, um, it's whatever." You internally cringed at your attempt to sound nonchalant. Ao'nung clearly wasn't buying it, but he didn't seem to want to push it.
"He's a douche anyway." Ao'nung said. "Trust me, you don't want to be going out with him."
"I guess..." You trailed off, biting your lip as you felt a sudden boldness take hold of you. You knew he was just trying to make you feel better, but you couldn't hold back on what you were truly wanting to know. "Look, you're a guy, do you know what's wrong with me?"
"What?"
"I mean, there has to be something seriously off-putting or undesirable about me. We both know this isn't the first time I've been stood up. I just want to know what it is about me." The words came out rushed as your grew embarrassed about voicing your deepest insecurities, and to Ao'nung, nonetheless. He looked a little pale as he stared at you, searching your eyes.
"You think there's something wrong with you?" He breathed, sounding more like he was asking a rhetorical question than a real one. He seemed to be rapidly working something out in his head.
"Well, yeah. I know I'm not exactly the prettiest or the most talented woman in the clan, but after a while you get the impression that something's off when everyone else is getting into successful relationships but you. Guys barely even look at me anymore." You admitted, still regretting the conversation topic but pushing through anyway.
"Oh, shit." Ao'nung whispered under his breath, suddenly standing. You couldn't read his expression anymore as it became more complex, not to mention confusing. You knew it was an awkward thing to talk about, but this reaction seemed a little extreme.
"Where are you going?" You called after him as he began to rush away in the direction of his marui, appalled that he was leaving so abruptly. His answer was too quick and quiet for you to make out, so you just sat in stunned silence for a moment, watching as he eventually disappeared from sight. "Okay. Nice chat." You said, pressing your lips together, unsure of what to do next. And for the umpteenth time that day, you found yourself focused on thoughts of your best friend's brother, trying to fit another seemingly impossible piece of the Ao'nung puzzle together.
“[Y/N]!” Tsireya called upon catching sight of you. She quickly apologized to the group of friends she’d been standing with and took off toward you, catching up easily. You were on your way to mend some more fishing nets, and you didn’t slow down even as she fell into step with you. “Hey! Where have you been this morning? I couldn’t find you and I was about to force Lo’ak to start helping me search!” She laughed. Her easy joyfulness was infectious, but you had to settle for a small smile as the best you could do in response. You were still trying to work out your complex web of feelings from the night before, something you’d spent all morning avoiding everyone to do. You wanted to talk to her about it, but it felt impossible to lay out clearly.
“Sorry, Reya,” You apologized, offering her a sincere look. “I just needed some time on my own to think.”
“Oh… Things didn’t go as planned last night then?” She asked gently. You sighed, shaking your head before a breathy laugh escaped your lips.
“Definitely not. Unless you count being stood up again as a plan. Which I guess maybe I should have. It happens enough.”
“[Y/N]…”
“It’s okay, really, I’m used to it. Besides, your brother of all people came to the rescue.”
“W-what? Ao’nung was there?”
“Yes. I have no clue what he was doing out there, but we ended up talking for a while.” You explained, carefully examining her reaction. While she looked mostly surprised, there was something different, like worry, behind her eyes.
“What did you talk about?” Her response felt strangely eager, like she was looking for you to say something specific.
“Mostly him, actually. I finally had the guts to tell him off for acting like a jerk sometimes.” You started, briefly chuckling at the memory. “But then it got really weird. He was trying to make me feel better about Atey’ete, but I couldn’t stop myself from asking him what’s wrong with me… Y’know, because he’s a guy and I thought maybe he would know.”
“And? What did he say?”
“Nothing, really. He got really pale and started acting like he was in trouble or something. Just got up and left. Like I said, weird.”
“Oh.” Was all she said, her brows furrowed as if deep in thought.
“Yeah. And do you know what’s really crazy?” You went on, unable to stop yourself from expressing the thoughts you’d been obsessing over all morning. “What’s insane is that I got stood up again and all I’ve been thinking about since is your stupid brother, just trying to figure him out. And even worse? When I do think about Atey’ete, I feel... relieved,” You were full-on ranting now as Tsireya watched with wide eyes. “I’ve been trying all morning to understand it, but I’m just relieved that Atey’ete didn’t show up. And I haven’t been letting myself even consider it, but I think- I think it might be because of Ao’nung.” You finally said, almost shocked that you admitted it out loud. The two of you stopped walking as a charged silence filled the air.
“Ao’nung likes you too!” Tsireya suddenly blurted before quickly slapping her hand over her mouth in horror of the admittance. You froze, eyebrows shooting skyward as you felt the world around you come to a slow halt. The only thing you could manage to process was the slow blinking eyes of your best friend as she searched your face. “I shouldn’t have said that but it just came out.”
“What are you talking about?” You whispered in disbelief. She stared at you for a few more second before sighing, resigning herself to an explanation.
“I think it’s time you know, anyway.” She started. “Ao’nung’s the one who scares off any guy who shows interest in you. He used to claim it was because they weren’t good enough for you, but I finally got him to admit otherwise a few months ago. He likes you, [Y/N]. A lot. But he’s so dumb and won’t believe me when I tell him that you like him back-”
“Woah. I don’t think I would say that.” You interrupted, though a bloom of heat rushed to your face at the accusation. Tsireya just gave you a look, quirking one eyebrow.
“You may be able to hide it from yourself, but you can’t hide it from me.” She stated. “I hear the way you talk about him when you’re not on your guard. And I definitely don’t miss the way you stare at him when you think he’s not looking.”
The realization felt like a blow to the chest. She was right, after all. You had once acknowledged your crush on the boy before pushing it far down out of sight when you thought he could never see you that way. You figured you would always just be Tsireya’s annoying best friend in his eyes.
“Even if I do,” You reluctantly admitted. “That’s still crazy. He’s been scaring guys away instead of just asking me out?” You were just now processing the whole story, going back through every heartbreak and every time you thought something was wrong with you with the new knowledge that Ao’nung was behind it.
“Yeah, I know. I kept trying to tell him how badly it was going to blow up in his face, but he’s so stubborn.”
“Since when?” You changed the course of the conversation out of the blue, but Tsireya was quick to follow along with what you were asking.
“Since he completed his Iknimaya. But he’s been in love with you since we were kids, [Y/N]. He’s absolutely terrible at expressing it, clearly, but it’s true. I don’t think he’s ever even considered anyone else.”
Again, her words landed like a punch to the gut, though it mildly annoyed you that the feeling was less painful and more relieving, your stomach doing excited little flips at the thought of Ao’nung seeing you the same way you saw him. You had to work to reign in the giddiness racing through you. Ao’nung still had to face the consequences of being a total moron, after all.
“I’m going to talk to him.” You decided, looking to Tsireya to agree. She nodded her head.
"Good. I think he's just getting ready to go out hunting, so you'd better hurry." She gently pushed you in the direction of the reef. As you started to jog away she called, "Don't let him off easy, okay?" And a laugh escaped your lips.
"I definitely won't!" You assured her, though you knew it was going to be difficult considering the giddy excitement coursing through your veins.
Luckily, he was still on shore when the reef came into your view, looking to be repairing one of the fishing spears before he set off with the other hunters. You slowed to a walk as you approached, and he only looked up when you were mere feet away from where he sat in the sand. Your shadow fell over him and your crossed your arms as he looked up and met your eyes, doing your best to look at least a little mad.
"[Y/N], what are you-"
"Why did you scare Atey'ete into ditching me?" You questioned calmly, narrowing your eyes and shoving down a smirk as panic took over his features. The hunters who were in the vicinity went silent, turning their attention to you and Ao'nung. "Actually, I'd also like to know why you've done that to every guy whose ever been interested in me."
"W-what- How did you..." He trailed off, trying desperately to find the right words as he squirmed under your gaze. "Did Tsireya tell you that?" He seemed to finally come to his senses, looking around at all the amused eyes fixed on him. He quickly stood up and grabbed your hand, tugging you to a spot out of view of the others. The contact between your hands was like a spark of electricity, briefly making you forget why you were supposed to be mad at him. The momentary amnesia doubled when he stepped closer to you, staring urgently into your eyes.
"How did you find out?" He asked, bringing you back to reality as he let go of your hand. You shivered at the loss of contact.
"Doesn't matter. Just tell me why." You said quietly, not missing the way his expression shifted into one of chagrin. It almost made you laugh to see him looking so uncharacteristically sheepish, but you maintained your composure.
"I don't know." Was all he said, unable to meet your eyes anymore, kicking at the sand beneath his feet like a child. Your jaw tightened at his lame response. Now you really were annoyed with him.
"Okay, fine." You scoffed, turning to go. You weren't expecting him to be so guarded, and it hurt to know that he wasn't willing to admit his feelings for you even when you were so blatantly offering him the chance.
"Wait!" You felt his fingers wrap around your wrist, igniting that familiar spark of electricity again as he pulled you back before you could get too far. You turned to face him again, letting your disappointment show on your face. "I'm sorry," He sighed, shaking his head as if figuring out what to say next.
"Just forget about it, okay? You're clearly still too busy being King Ao'nung to take me seriously." You wanted to run away and hide for the rest of the day. Maybe the rest of your life. Tsireya seemed to have overstated his feelings for you, and it was hurting more with every passing second. The only thing still keeping you there was Ao'nung's gentle grip on your arm.
"I do take you seriously. And I want to talk to you- I just never know what to say."
"Well you could start with a genuine apology."
"I'm sorry," He stepped slightly closer, forcing you to tilt your chin up to meet his gaze. Your heart sped up. "I really am. And I know you have no reason to believe me because I've been acting like a jerk lately. And you have no reason to forgive me, either. It was really fucked up of me to do that- to threaten guys who were interested in you. I was always so jealous at how easily they got you to like them, and I wished you would look at me the way you looked at them, even just for a second. But I didn't want to hurt you, [Y/N]. I swear," A pained expression took over his face, and he shifted his grip on your hand so that your fingers were laced together. Warmth bled through his touch and set you at ease. "Last night was the first time I realized how badly it was affecting you. I always assumed you didn't care that much because you never showed it, but I realize now that was a stupid assumption. I was selfish, and I'm really, really sorry."
You stared into his blown pupils, not saying anything for a while as you processed his words. Since your original plan had been derailed, you had to work out what to do next.
"I wasn't mad when I got here." You said, a small smile tugging at the corners of your lips. Ao'nung furrowed his eyebrows. "I mean, I was a little bit. I wasn't about to let you off for basically making me think I was unlovable for a while there." You smiled wider as Ao'nung cringed slightly. "But I wasn't mad because I was actually just relieved. Because for some Eywa forsaken reason I have this insane crush on you that I've been trying to get over for years, and even though I would never admit it, every time I got stood up I felt relieved that I wouldn't have to settle for someone I could never love." His eyes widened at your confession, and you wondered if he could hear how loudly your heart was beating.
"Oh Eywa, [Y/N], I'm so sorry that I made you think-"
"Are you seriously not taking your chance right now? I'm starting to doubt how much Tsireya told me you liked me..." You said, holding in a laugh as his eyes widened yet again. For a future Olo'eyktan, he was really dumb sometimes.
But all it took was that push from you and he was kissing you. Softly, at first, almost like he felt you were going to break, but when you fell into his body and wrapped your arms around his neck, he became more desperate, tugging gently at your bottom lip. His warm hands rested on your waist, pulling you flush against him. It could have been seconds or days before you pulled apart, panting and grinning like fools.
"Tsireya didn't exaggerate," He started, resting his forehead against yours as his thumbs caressed your sides. "I like you so, so much. I just never thought you'd feel the same. I always figured you just saw me as your best friend's older brother." He admitted and you chuckled.
"I thought you just saw me as your sister's best friend." This time the both of you laughed softly before he placed a quick kiss against your lips again.
"I see you." He whispered, and suddenly the world around you diminished, leaving only Ao'nung in front of you. You could hear the blood rushing in your ears and feel the slightly quickened heartbeat inside his chest, the points of contact between you like pieces of a puzzle fitting perfectly together.
"I see you." You finally said back, completely enraptured by the way he was staring at you, like you were the only person in the entire universe in that moment. You stood like that together for who knows how long, occasionally exchanging sweet kisses and blushing grins.
Finally, you decided to say something, "So how many guys did you have to threaten to stay away from me? Was it like, just a few, or are we talking about more of a whole line up?"
"Oh, please." He grinned, shaking his head as the two of you laughed.
"I'm just trying to make up for some lost self-esteem over the years, okay?" You chuckled, offering him a mischievous look.
"Alright, I get it. I probably deserve the guilt trip." He smiled, holding his hands up. "But I don't think you have anything to worry about when it comes to guys wanting you." He admitted, looking slightly annoyed at the thought. You gasped dramatically.
"So it was a whole line up! You must have been busy keeping them all away from me." You said proudly, earning an eye roll from him.
"Don't let it go to your head. Besides, it doesn't matter anyway."
"And why's that?"
"Because now you're mine." He hummed, suddenly using his loose grip on your waist to pull you closer and place his lips on yours once again. You smiled into the kiss. Maybe all that rejection was worth it after all.
ᴘᴀɪʀɪɴɢ: sully kids x hard of hearing metkayina male reader (platonic)
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ: In a search for a way to communicate with you, the family has to master Na'vi sign language. Along the way of teaching them, however, you learn more about yourself.
ᴀɴᴏɴ: can you do a male Metkayina clan reader BUT the reader is hard of hearing because of the water from swimming.
ʀᴇ𝐐: yes ~ ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ: 6148 ~ extra ~ gn reader vers.
ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢꜱ: feelings of shame and embarrassment, struggling to hear and understand people (and yourself), hints of angst
ᴍᴀʏʙ'ꜱ ɴᴏᴛᴇ: we don't have resources for their exact sign language so i made some things up (since na'vi sign language isn't the same as asl) as well as iknimaya trials and traditions.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Ever since you were a kid, you had always loved the ocean. The Metkayina clan was a tribe of the water, the ocean, so it made sense; but unlike others your age who preferred to play with each other, you enjoyed being completely surrounded by Eywa's children within the ocean.
You had no qualms with solitude, as all you needed was the sea; but eventually, it proved to be a problem.
The sea gives and the sea takes; it gave you a world to love and took your hearing.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Tsireya introduced you to Sully's in their first lesson as one of the Metkayina who truly loved the ocean. "This is our best free diver," She put a hand on your shoulder, "(y/n). You're lucky I managed to find him."
Instead of responding in some negative way at her comment, you grin and offer a small wave.
"How so?" Lo'ak questions.
Tsireya doesn't answer outright. She giggles, "You'll see."
The chief's children and you jump into the water, demonstrating the proper way to dive in that best transitions into swimming. The Sully's, on the other hand, jump into the water as though in play.
You could see it in their eyes, their amazement. The sea was an entirely different world from the one above, it was something you loved about it.
Only the Na'vi and their animal companions mingled on the coast above. The ilu could be compared to their banshees, nothing special; and the people, though physically different, were still Na'vi.
You didn't doubt that these water creatures were unlike anything they'd seen before, and you were happy that they were astonished with the wildlife you, too, loved.
You turn back forward to swim, knowing that they'll follow. You show them the form, using your tail to help and keeping your body like a spear to be able to cut through the water.
You lead them deeper into the sea, but Ao'nung taps your shoulder. You turn to follow his finger, which points up.
The Sully's were taking a breath of air. Right, that's probably something you should teach them, but you were probably not the best teacher.
Within the water, your safe haven, you tended to forget many things, so you signed to them, keep going, forgetting they didn't know how to sign.
You keep swimming, this time checking up on them as you reach an underwater slope. They were bad swimmers, it seemed, which is an idea sort of incomprehensible to you, as every Metkayina was basically born in the ocean. They pushed off of coral and rock formations to push forward and keep up.
They don't even make it to you when they go back up for air.
What's wrong with them? Ao'nung signs.
They're bad divers. Rotxo replies. Though fingers and hands hardly conveyed emotion, you knew from Rotxo and Ao'nung's generally jokester demeanor that he was making fun of them.
Stop, they're learning. Tsireya scolds.
Whilst they talk to one another, you get distracted with something out of the corner of your eye. It was bioluminescence, hardly noticeable during the daytime, which is why it's so curious. You forget the lesson at hand and follow it.
The chief's children and Rotxo swim up to talk to the Sully's where they will actually understand each other. It is only after Tsireya promises to teach them sign language, which Neteyam ignorantly describes as "finger talk", that they notice you and their dear sister's disappearance.
The bioluminescence you had caught came from a lone hammerhead squid, which is even more peculiar because it was alone. Perhaps it was paranoid, because when it saw you, it began swimming away with determination.
You struggle to catch up with it.
It dives behind large coral, hoping to lose you, but you always catch up. Hammerhead squids found safety in numbers, so they usually didn't go so fast, which means it would tire out soon.
Knowing this, you kept up the chase. Regardless, however, it puts up a good fight.
It shoots out its ink prematurely. The black liquid disperses in the water, clouding much of the view ahead of you. Instead of swimming through it, you dive under, although you almost bump into a sharp rock. Narrowly, you avoid it, swimming up quickly once you're past the ink.
Though you move past it, its original outcome–clouding your view–succeeds. When you clear the ink, you suddenly bump into someone.
Sorry. You sign, rubbing at your forehead where you'd bumped into her, so so sorry.
The girl before you is one of the Sully's. Her eyebrows furrow, confusion in her face, but you misinterpret it as anger. Great, it's the Sully's first day in the clan and you were already giving bad impressions.
I didn't mean to bump into you.
Her eyebrows furrow further. Ultimately, although she doesn't like it, she decides to surface so that the two of you may speak. She points up and you understand.
Once you're up at the surface, she says, "I don't know what you're saying."
You had long since memorized the way one's mouth moves when they say those words, and their variations, so you explain, "I was apologizing for bumping into you."
Though the next couple words come muddled to you, you just barely catch her saying "alright" and a wave of relief washes over you. "What's your name?"
"Kiri." She gives you a polite smile.
"Nice to meet you, Kiri." You nod. "I didn't realize we'd lost you while diving. Why'd you wander off?"
"Oh, I um," She worries that you may think her a freak, so she waters it down. "I got distracted."
You chuckle, "Yeah, I get it. Happens a lot to me too. It's like a different world, isn't it?"
Her face lights up when you agree with her, "Yeah, it is." She ached to observe it again, to be surrounded by Eywa'eveng. "Do you mind if I..?" She gestures down.
You tilt your head, confused. "You what?"
"Go down again." Kiri mutters, little ashamed to say out loud that she'd rather be underwater than talk with you, but you manage to read her lips.
"Oh, of course I don't." You shake your head, "Actually, I was in the middle of finding something. Do you wanna come with?"
Though she much preferred to take the sights all in on her own and on her own time, she had to admit your offer was interesting. "Okay, sure." She nods.
Kiri follows you back underwater, and keeps swimming after you. Reminded of the other Sully's, you make sure to keep your head straight and swim at a slower pace.
As you keep swimming past large coral and columns of algae, trying to catch a glimpse of the squid you were searching for before, Kiri gets distracted by something particularly special out of the corner of her eye.
She stays in place, entranced, and almost swims for it before remembering the task at hand. However, when she turns to you, you're swimming back to her.
Txampaysye. You sign, but of course she wouldn't understand. So, you wave your hand in the water to create ripples in the current and signify the water. Then, you pass a hand from your stomach to your throat and out your mouth to signify breathing. Breathing underwater.
Somehow, she understands. Though the butterfly-like Txampaysye catches her attention, uncharacteristically of her, she gestures for you to keep going. She'll have time another day.
Just a bit of swimming later, you find the squid again. It doesn't notice you. You point at it and Kiri's head tilts with curiosity.
How could a squid be bioluminescent in the day? The sunlight's rays still reached it.
Do you want to catch it? You closed your hand, from splayed fingers into a fist very quickly, the sign for catch. It was pretty straight forward, so Kiri understood; what she didn't understand, and what she was against, was the idea.
The question was only formal. You swim forward without waiting for her answer, thinking she wanted to catch it.
You approach it as silently as possible, keeping your arms to your body and swaying up and down, using your feet like a fin. You keep your tail rigid and in place, for paddling it side to side as opposed to up and down like your legs would create unnecessary noise.
Once you are close enough, you lunge with a quick, sharp movement. It doesn't have time to react before you catch it between your fingers and palm.
Triumphantly, you turn to Kiri with your hand raised, failing to notice her growing anger. You swim towards her with enthusiasm.
Fyìp ioang. You sign.
For a moment you think you may be misinterpreting confusion as anger again, but you quickly realize you're interpreting correctly. Kiri pries your fingers apart, freeing the creature who spurts the last of its ink (only a little) and leaves.
Her eyebrows are furrowed, a look you hate, and she points up towards the surface again. You follow, embarrasment beginning to spread through your body.
"You shouldn't be taking animals against their will." She scolds, pointing an accusatory finger at you. Her anger was loud and clear in her voice, loud enough for you to hear.
"Sorry." You purse your lips and mumble so low you can't even hear it yourself, "I was only curious."
She huffs, "Your curiosity doesn't mean you can imprison them just to poke and prod."
"Yeah," You point your gaze down, "you're right."
"Just don't do it again." With that, she begins to swim away, not caring if you follow her.
With shame, you dive back into the water, in search of one of your favorite places to soothe yourself.
She was right, of course, but your curiosity was often one of your driving points. It was why you spent most of your time in the ocean, what kept you entertained underwater. On the other hand, it was also why you'd lost so much of your hearing.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The next morning, on their way to their second lesson, the Sully's find you.
Lo'ak, after yesterday, now understands why Tsireya was lucky to find you before. He thinks they're pretty lucky today, too, as it seems you're going to head into the ocean. "(y/n)!" He calls for your attention, but you don't hear him.
You're just about to dive in, so Lo'ak hurries up to meet you. He catches you by the shoulder. "Hey."
"Hey." You greet him with a smile. "What's up?"
"You left us yesterday. Where'd you go?" He asks curiously.
"I'm sorry, what?" You ask, having not heard him entirely.
"Where'd you go?" He repeats.
Again, you don't hear him. You purse your lips, the shame of not being able to understand people creeping in. "Oh, sorry, I didn't hear you."
"Where did you go?" Lo'ak repeats for the third time, slowing down his speech.
"Look, I'm really sorry–"
Neteyam catches up, slinging an arm over Lo'ak's shoulder. "What my brother means to ask is where you went yesterday, when you were supposed to be teaching us."
"Teach you?" You tilt your head as you think. Did the Olo'eyktan assign you something? Tsireya only took the opportunity because she saw you yesterday. You can't think of anything, though. "What am I supposed to teach you?"
Lo'ak sighs, "When you were teaching us how to free dive?"
The sigh makes you purse your lips. Your stupid ears were making people frustrated again. Still, you couldn't say anything when you didn't understand them. "...what about it?"
Tsireya comes to save you, noticing the struggle between you and the Sully's. "(y/n), here," She begins, pushing Lo'ak's hand off your shoulder, "struggles to hear, if you guys haven't noticed."
She signs to you, taking advantage of the fact they don't know how to sign. Do you want them to know your story?
You shake your head, to which she nods.
"It'd be much appreciated if you guys spoke louder, spoke clearer, and moved your mouths wider." She demonstrates the way they should speak as she instructs them. "It helps him to be able to read your lips until you learn how to sign."
"So he can hear us?" Lo'ak asks.
"Barely." You respond, reminding him that you are in fact in this conversation.
Neteyam nods, rubbing a burn into his brother's scalp. "Sorry, Lo'ak needs to remember these sorts of things."
"Shut up, bro." He pushes his brother away, causing him to skid sideways a few paces.
"(y/n), you would be a great help in teaching them sign language." Tsireya turns to you, signing as she speaks.
You understand, but you purse your lips. "Today? I sort of wanted to explore..."
"Doesn't have to be today, no," She shakes her head, "today is about breathing. If you want to leave, that's perfectly alright."
She smiles at you. Oh, Eywa, you loved Tsireya. She was so kind.
You take her permission and give a wave before diving into the water.
You swim farther into the ocean, trying to wash off your embarrassment with the cool water. It burned in your cheeks, anyway.
When the Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk found out about your hearing loss, you had already reached a point where there was no way to be healed. Everyone blamed your parents, their neglect for your ears and the proper care after a swim. But in truth, you knew you were also to blame.
It had been a long time since you were a burden. The Metkayina accommodated for your hearing loss. You were lucky to be born in the clan who originated the language that didn't require hearing. You had long since come to a comfortable life because of it.
When you realize that the embarrassment won't wear off so easy, you lay down on the sea grass covered sand—or lay down as best you can. The current pushes your head and limbs up.
Your intent was to relax, but the bioluminescent squid from yesterday pops up above you. You react quickly, reaching out and trapping it in your hand again.
You. You sign, awkward because you're one-handed, You embarrassed me in front of Kiri.
You'd missed two of its tentacles in grabbing it. It crosses its arms, giving you attitude, then pointed at you instead. Somehow, you understand.
Alright, fine. You huff, It's my fault. You release the squid, but this time it lingers. You forgive me?
It waves two of its tentacles up and down as if to nod its head.
You pluck a small fish from its school and hand it over as an extra peace offering. Sorry, fyìp.
It stares blankly at your offering. Clearly, it was refusing it, because it was definitely capable of catching that fish on its own. Also, you were ignoring the lesson Kiri taught you. You release the fish, which scurries back to its school, signing sorry again.
Why do you want to hang out with me?
The tentacles at its sides raise up in a shrug.
You lost your group. You purse your lips, extending your hand so that the squid may sit on it, even if it is redundant underwater. Are you trying to find a new one?
It shrugs again, though accepts the spot you give it on your hand.
Well, I suppose we're the same in that. You and I, we're special. I'm hard of hearing, and you're bioluminescent. You laugh inwardly, Although, those are two different things.
Fyìp does a twirl in your hand. It seems pleased.
Alright, let's go. I'll show you some of my favorite places.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
After the Sully's breathing exercises, Neteyam is eager to find you. He dives into the water, both practicing his breathing and speed.
For the third time, he's lucky to find you returning to the village for dinner, this time you were fortunately not caught up in exploring the sea.
Neteyam waves his hand in greeting. You do the same, though you hadn't realized he had more to say.
(y/n). He signs.
Immediately, your eyes light up. Neteyam is delighted.
Who taught you that? You sign. Your hands are a flurry of speed, but he manages to catch the words anyway.
He recognized "you" and "taught" and the distinct lack of "I", so he can assume what you asked. Tsireya. He signs simply, for she hadn't taught him much more than that and your names.
I'll teach you too.
He recognizes "I", "teach", and "you", and understands. He nods excitedly, then points up towards the surface. You follow.
"You're learning." You grin as you surface.
"Yeah." His smile turns bashful, "I want to learn so I can talk to you better." He even exaggerates the movement of his lips so that you may read them.
"Aww, that's sweet." Though you've only known him for so long, you give him a hug. "Thank you."
"No need to thank me." He shakes his head, still holding your elbows gently even as you part from the hug, "It's just what I should do."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Oh, you skxawng! You're late, you're late, you're late!
Too caught up within the serenity that the sea brought you, you had forgotten that you were supposed to be teaching the Sully's sign language!
You swim towards the shore with much hurry. Your body was preoccupied with a mission, to get there fast, and your mind was berating you for being stuck in your head so much. Because of it, you're not exactly focusing on the world around you.
"Oof!" You grunt as you bump into a column. It was one of the ones that supported the Marui pods above.
You pull yourself up onto your elbows on the pathway between pods, spitting out the water you'd caught in your mouth when you bumped so stupidly into a column.
Your squid friend jumps up too, sticking to your leg then climbing up to your shoulder. Its sticky tentacles feel weird on your skin, but you pay it no mind. Instead, you focus on cradling the spot on your forehead where you collided.
When Fyìp lands on your shoulder, you turn to it with a huff and go back to rubbing your head. Then, once you actually notice, you double take back to it.
"You can go above the surface?"
Now, no longer muffled by the water, you can just barely catch its squeal. Huh, so it was making sound all this time.
It twirls around your shoulder as if to say yes.
You turn your head back forward, resting your chin on the pathway. "I'm so stupid–wait." The Sully's and the chief's children are having the lesson quite a few ways ahead of you. They didn't seem to notice you. "It's them."
Fyìp's eyes almost seem to light up when it sees Kiri.
"Gah, should I really be joining them now? I'm so late!" You frown, thinking it over. "I'd be so lost," You narrate your thoughts for Fyìp, "every time I think about something to teach, what if they already taught it? What even is their teaching plan? I shouldn't have gone out today. Should've stayed to talk to Tsireya."
Thanks to your awful hearing and tunnel-vision, you don't notice Fyìp yapping in your ear. Only when it slaps you on the shoulder–it was a small animal, hardly hurt–do you pay attention to it.
"What?" You whine, now rubbing your shoulder.
Fyìp points forward vigorously, pulling its tentacle forwafd and back repeatedly.
"It'll be so embarrassing."
It crosses its arms in front of itself like a no. Even though you're sure it will be, Fyìp's insistence reminds you of your promise to Neteyam. It wasn't broken just yet.
"Okay, fine."
At your affirmation, Fyìp drops back into the water. You follow suit.
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Learning a new language, later in your life, was always hard. Although, Jake Sully was the only one in his family with that experience.
"Lo'ak, why are you home early?" Jake and Neytiri rush over to him, sitting down as he does.
"Sign language is so hard." Lo'ak groans, his head down.
"Learning another language is hard," Jake affirms, putting a reassuring hand on his son's shoulder. "but it's like everything else. With practice, you'll get the hang of it."
"At first, he was terrible at Na'vi too." Neytiri grins, causing Jake to roll his eyes.
"Yes, and I became better." He gives her a pointed look, to which she only replies by baring her fangs playfully.
"Well, it's more than that." Lo'ak frowns, looking down at his hands, the very reason he was so different. "I have five fingers! Everyone else has four. Whenever there's a sign that requires fingers, everyone stares at me and Kiri. Their looks are so blank, but I can tell what they're thinking."
"So why didn't you say something?" Jake asks. "It's unlike you to not do anything."
It was a good question that left him silent as he thought. He didn't really know the answer, not as he dug through the surface of his mind. As he searched deeper, he found an answer, but he didn't really want to believe it. "It's because... Tsireya and (y/n) were there."
"And..?" Neytiri prods for him to continue.
"I don't want to disappoint them..." Lo'ak purses his lips, "or be a burden to them."
"Son," Jake places his hands on both Lo'ak's shoulders, causing him to finally look up at him. Jake wanted to be sure that Lo'ak understood the sentiment behind his words. "you're only learning. You can't disappoint them. And if they get upset at you, then that's their fault because they do not understand you and who you are."
"Next time," Neytiri speaks up, catching their attention, "make an arrangement. Find a way to work around it. Alright?"
Lo'ak nods, "Okay."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Usually, you were the one sought out within the Metkayina if they ever needed you because you were always doing something in the ocean. The sea was vast and cluttered, from seawall terrace to the shore, it was all within the realm of possibility of where you were.
But, for once, you're seeking someone out.
"Kiri!" You call, "I was looking for you."
She emerges from the ocean, ringing the water out of her hair. Too caught up in the sights and feeling Eywa in the sea, she had missed dinner. You could relate to that, so you had to make sure she was taking care of herself.
"What is it?" Kiri asks, treading carefully on her words.
"I saved you some dinner." You hand her a leaf dish of fish.
"Oh." Only once she sees the food does she remember her growling stomach and hunger. "Thank you." She takes the leaf from you gingerly but begins to scarf it down once it's in her own hands.
"It's no problem." You begin, "Sometimes I accidentally skip dinner too. I know the feeling of great hunger in the morning."
Kiri nods in understanding.
"Make sure to get the water out of your ears." You enthusiastically demonstrate by tipping your head to the side and tapping the side of it. "You don't want to end up like me."
Kiri almost chokes on her food. She coughs and puts it on the sand temporarily. "Like you?"
"You know," She doesn't know how you can retain a smile like this. "bad hearing and all."
Ever since you'd lost the majority of your hearing, the adults started using you as an example of what not to do. Not only did they advice the young ones while using your example, they also advised your peers. At first, it was embarrassing, but you began to understand why you were an example and had long since grown used to the embarrassment it brought.
"(y/n), are you using yourself as an example?"
"What?" You tease, "Wanna end up like me?"
"No, (y/n), that's not what I mean." She takes both your hands in hers. "You shouldn't be using yourself as an example of what happens if you don't take care of yourself."
"Why not?" It was pretty normal to you now. You purse your lips, "Everyone uses me as an example. I am what happens if you don't–"
"Because," Kiri breathes out in disbelief, "you're more than an example. You're your own person. You're more than your past mistakes."
"You're right," You snicker at the thought, "just like last time."
"I'm just saying what has to be said." She reassures, rubbing her thumbs over the back of your hands, "Value yourself more."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
The trend of you seeking other people out, when it'd always been the opposite before, followed along for Lo'ak.
After your sign language lessons, you retreated into the ocean to clear your thoughts. Now that you had what you were looking for, you had to find Lo'ak, which thankfully doesn't take long.
"Lo'ak!" You call as your eyes find him.
He himself seemed to be searching for you too, so when he sees you, his eyes brighten. He covers the ground between you two quickly. "Hey, I was just looking for you."
"Me too. Do you wanna go first?"
He nods, "I found out a way we can work around my fingers."
"Your fingers?" You tilt your head forward.
"Yeah." He shows them off, wiggling all five for you.
"What about them?"
"Oh," He realizes the question wasn't because you'd somehow forgotten how many he had, but because you hadn't heard the rest of his sentence. He speaks with his mouth wider for you, "I found a way to work around them."
"That's what I was trying to find you for, actually." You snicker, "I found a way to work with them."
"With them?" He hadn't thought it possible.
"Yep." You grin, "Oh, but you were going first. Go on."
"Right, um," Lo'ak lifts one of his hands with the other, up to your view, then he pulls his last finger down. "I was thinking we could tie down my pinkie."
"Your pinkie?"
"My last finger, the smallest, it's called the pinkie."
"Okay, right." You nod.
"Tie it down with like a, um," He snaps his fingers while he thinks. "rope or something until I learn to stop using it."
After hearing his thought, you burst out laughing. It leaves Lo'ak confused. He stands there awkwardly, arms falling down to his sides with a building shame because he can't understand what you were laughing at.
"Sorry, um," You shake your head to wipe the laughter from your face, "that's too cruel, Lo'ak."
"Cruel?" He asks, eyebrows furrowed.
"Yeah, don't you think? It's just like what your sister taught me. We shouldn't take things against their will." You hold his hand to bring it back between the two of you and press his pinkie down against his palm. The force you put on his knuckle and the position is rather uncomfortable for Lo'ak, and it shows in his face. "See?"
"Yeah, you're right." He mutters, then realizes his mistake. "Sorry, I mean, you're right." He enunciates louder and clearer. "Just that... I couldn't really find any other way."
"Well, I was thinking we could just use your middle fingers as a unit." You bring his pinkie back up and press your fingers on his middle fingers, "What do you call them?"
"This is the middle finger," He wiggles it and specifically avoids accidentally showing it off to you, even if you probably don't know what it means. "and this is the ring finger."
"Okay." You nod, understanding quickly. Then, you press your fingers against the ring's left and the middle's right and hold them together. "We can consider these as my middle finger."
You hold your hand up next to his, pulling your other fingers down to show him the middle. He almost laughs and tells you the meaning, but decides it's funnier if you don't know.
"Say, "happen" for example." You use his hand as if it were your own, as yours was holding it, and press the side of yourd against it. Then, you bring it to the side quickly whilst pushing your fingers wide apart. "To mimic my middle finger, you can use your middle and ring fingers together."
"But... wouldn't it be confusing?" Lo'ak argues, looking up into your eyes.
You turn away from him, biting your lip, "Much the same as you're... accommodating for me by learning sign language, we must accommodate for you too. It's only right."
"Accommodate..." He hated that word, and clearly, you were just as ashamed to use it. It had been used all throughout your lives because of your particularities. "Let's not say that."
You turn back up to him, a glimmer of hope within your eyes. "What do you mean?"
"Let's not say we're accommodating for our differences." He turns his hand, the one that rested upon your palm, and uses it to hold yours reassuringly. "Let's just say that we're doing this for each other."
He loves the way your face lights up with a smile. "That sounds good."
☾⋆☆⋆☽
Thanks to Tsireya's efforts, the Sully's had learned the ways of the Metkayina.
They were still different, they were Omatikaya, and they and the Metkayina would always have their differences. However, despite their leaner bodies, they could catch up with you in the water; despite other physical differences like smaller lungs, they could stay underwater almost as long as you. They still preferred bow and arrow over spear and ikran over ilu.
Soon enough, they were good enough at free diving that they were allowed to perform their first Iknimaya trial, catching a small shell thrown into the sea.
Of course, it was the first because it was the easiest, the Metkayina completed it when they were young; but still, it called for a celebration.
Ronal denied a coming of age celebration. It was past the season for it, the tulkuns weren't home yet, and the Metkayina didn't know the Sully's enough for it to have any real sentiment.
It didn't matter to you, though. All they really wanted was a celebration with friends (which Ao'nung so gladly volunteered to not participate in).
You brought them into the sea for the celebration. For once, it wasn't a test of their breathing, speed, or swimming form. It was just exploring, enjoying the water; and they hadn't done that since they tamed their ilu.
As you dove into the sea, Fyìp swam to be near you. It seemed unbothered by the stares of awe he received.
Kiri grinned, signing to you, Fyìp ioang?
Yeah! Call him Fyìp now. You offer it a spot on your palm, which it accepts. You thrust your hand forward to show them all. He warmed up to me, forgave me.
Forgave you? Lo'ak signed. After your arrangement, he'd really gotten good at sign language.
Though the celebration was not meant to be a test, it was a great demonstration of how they were on their way to master sign language.
I believe I told you about the lesson Kiri taught me. I caught Fyìp to show it off to her, and she taught me I shouldn't have done so, even through all my curiosity. You nod at the thought, Wise words.
Kiri tucks a hair behind her ear, It just made sense to me. Not something wise or anything.
Sure. You huff out a laugh, then turn around to swim further in. Fyìp clings onto your shoulder.
The sights were already amazing. The Sully's were no longer limited by depth or obstacles now that they knew the way of water, so now they could see everything the sea had to offer.
You turn back to them again with an offer, You guys wanna see one of my favorite places? Knowing that they'll definitely agree, you turn back around and start leading the way.
It doesn't take long before you are standing before a marvel.
It was a cove of coral, fish, and many more ocean creatures. They were all colorful and eye-catching, but the main attraction was the ilu. It was similar to the Banshee Rookery in the Ayram alusìng.
We don't always tame ilu bred from other ilu at the village. Sometimes, we come here, though rarely. You explain.
These ilu were wilder, more aloof, but they still retained their friendly nature with the Na'vi. So long as you do not anger them, we can hang out with them.
The Sully's were practically let loose around the area. As you already knew much of it, you laid down on a rock at the heart of it and simply watched. Fyìp stuck around you, catching stray fish for dinner.
Kiri easily communicated with the ilu. Even if they were already friendly, they seemed even warmer with her.
Lo'ak managed to find the more playful ilu and had somehow gotten himself into a game of tag. He seemed to be one of the runners. He ducked behind coral, up and around rock arches. He was holding his own, despite the ilu naturally being much faster. Tsireya found herself watching too, and was laughing at Lo'ak's panicked face as he narrowly avoided being caught by an ilu.
As Lo'ak and Kiri both found their own things to do, it seemed Neteyam was stuck with Tuk. But she wasn't a burden to him. What kind of big brother would he be if she was?
He held her by the hand and admired some of the smaller creatures with her, although it seemed as though she had other intentions.
She escaped Neteyam's grasp and began swimming away with vigor. For a moment, Neteyam panicked, rushing after her with alarm. However, he soon relaxed once she saw she was going to you.
She waved hello adorably with a grin then signed. As the youngest, she had a bit more trouble with signing, but you understood her. Why do you like being in the water so much?
Well, it's very serene. You reply.
Neteyam caught up. He seemed interested too. Is that it?
You shrug, Sort of. There's some other reasons, but... You took in Tuk's hopeful eyes. She was far too cute to be denied. I could tell them to you.
Please? Will you? She swims closer, holding onto your wrists so that you may still sign.
Perhaps Tsireya rounded them up; otherwise, you have no idea why, as signing doesn't make sound, but they all round up around you. Even Fyìp swims closer.
It was a bit nerve-wracking, having all those eyes on you, but you had grown close to all of them. Nothing bad would come of it if you told them.
Okay.
Tuk's smile grows wider, she swims away so the others can see you too.
Ever since I was a kid, the ocean was so entrancing. It was majestic, a different world from the one above. The other kids my age, they preferred to play with one another. I preferred to explore the ocean. Even though I was hardly used to the world above, I still preferred exploring underwater.
Tsireya taught you that the sea gives and takes. While it gave me a world to love, it also took my hearing because I was negligent towards my ears. Eventually, the sea was more than just the world I loved. It was also the only place I could be normal.
Lo'ak and Kiri listen more carefully when you mention the word normal. It was something they both struggled with.
Everybody needs to sign to speak. You don't need your ears to listen to them, you only need your eyes; and my eyes, I still have. Underwater, I swim and speak and listen just like everyone else.
Tsireya swims closer, a frown on her face. She holds your elbow endearingly, You are just like everyone else.
Yeah, you are. Neteyam does the same, swimming closer. You are Na'vi.
We are Na'vi. Lo'ak signs.
Though we are all different, we are all Eywa's children. Kiri signs. It doesn't matter in what way we are different, my fingers, our blood, your hearing...
Lo'ak's eyebrows... Neteyam signs. Said eyebrows furrow at the teasing. Lo'ak retaliates by squeezing Neteyam's exposed neck, as his brother always does to him. Neteyam pushes him away.
You guys, you all understand. You smile, I'm so sorry that the Metkayina treat you differently.
Lo'ak shakes his head, If it is something we must teach them, we'll make them learn. He smiles, So long as we have great teachers like you and Tsireya to back us up, right?
You roll your eyes–he thinks it's endearing–at him but nod. We'll teach them that we're all the same.
Tomorrow will be a good day for that. Tsireya signs, Let's not forget we are celebrating your first Iknimaya trial.
Fyìp does an encouraging twirl that makes everyone smile.
To tomorrow. You sign.
You held onto your father as you flew on his ikran. You were flying to the reefs of the Metkayina. Word had reached the Omatikaya of the hunting of the Tulkun and the battle of the demon ship including the shooting of your cousin . The reef came into view and a horn was blown sending a warning out to the people below. Tsu’tey hold on you had tighten “ when we land stay close ma yawntutsyìp” you nodded, squeezing his hand that was holding you letting him know you heard him.
His ikran cireled the beach before landing . Tsu’tey climbed down from his mount helping you down. He walked forward to the forming crowd of Metkayaina, arms out showing he meant no harm. You made quick and large steps to keep up with him. The crowed broke apart letting thought two figures one male and the other female. You immediately knew that it was the Olo’eyktan and the Tsahik. Tsu’tey gave the “ I see you” gesture to the Olo’eyktan. “ I see you Tonowari '' he then turned to the female and did the same thing “ I see you , Tsahik Ronal '' .
well they greeted each other. Something had caught your attention, a young Metkayaina male who had pushed his way through the crowded beach and stood a few steps away from the Olo’eyktan and the Tsahik. You put two and two together and gathered this was their son. When he noticed you were looking at him, he hissed at you. You immediately stepped back frightened, knocking into your fathers leg . Tsu’tey absentmindedly grabbed onto your shoulder pulling you to stand in front of him faceing Tonowari and Ronal.
You gave the “ I see you” gesture to both of them. Tonowari greets you back but Ronal hissed at you. Your father's grip tightened. ” How dare you bring a sky demon to our shores? '' she hissed at your father. “ I did not, I brought my daughter along to come see our family” . The Tsahik went to argue but was cut off by Tonowari. “ It is decided Olo’eyktan Tsu’tey and his daughter are our guests , treat them as our brother and sister”. At the Olo’eyktan’s words the group of Metkayaina dispersed.
As they left you saw your cousins and Jake make their way towards you. You all greeted each other before Jake was telling your cousins to help with your things and to show you to the pod as he and Tsu’tey walked off. As your cousins led the way to their home you found yourself having trouble keeping up right as the walkways were not as solid . When you got to the pod you quickly placed your things down and greeted your aunt. along with Neteyam and spider who were both bangaged and seemed to have just woken up from resting. After talking with your family for a while you unpacked your things. The rest of the night went quickly. You had helped with the evening meal before everyone sat down to eat together . where everyone caught up and your cousins told you they wanted you to meet some of their friends. Before you knew it you were turning in for the night curled up in a sleep pile with your cousins just like old times.
The first morning rays of lights hit you in the face, waking you up. You slowly stretched out looking around you, seeing your family was still asleep. You slowly dislodged yourself from between your cousins and got ready for the day. You quietly made your way to cook fire and started to prepare morning meal. By the time you had placed the last leaf of food on the small table, everyone was in a different stage of waking. You made your way back to the sleeping area, waking your cousins fully so they would come eat. You all sat around eating, waiting for the adults to join you all to see what the day's plans were. Eventually everyone was at the table, you were told by Jake that your cousins would be showing you the ropes so you could keep up. After the morning meal everyone goes their own ways, your father leaving with your uncle and you leaving with your cousins.
As you followed them you noticed they were taking you to the beach where you saw 3 young Metkayaina one of them was the boy who had hissed at you. Lo’ak pulled you into his side introducing you to them. “ guys this is our cousin (Y/N) , this is Tsireya, Ao'nung and Rotxo ''. You smile and greet them by giving them the i see you gesture. the others greet you back but Ao’nung simply crosses his arms and stares at you. You quickly look down , Lo’ak started talking again” our father said to show her the ropes so we'll be here for most of the day ” he said looking at the 3 Metkayaina.
Ao'nung looked at him “ cuz I'm thinking you're forgetting you're supposed to be going with the hunting party today” he told Lo’ak. Lo’ak grabbed at his breads huffing looking torn between fooling his father orders and wanting to go hunting. You cut in before he could even answer “ it’s ok Lo’ak I can just hang back with Tuk and i’m sure i’ll pick up a few thing. He looks at you with some relief. He and the 2 Metkayaina males take off leaving you with the girls.
Tsireya clapped her hands together, getting all of you’s attention, “ good now we can get straight to lessons,” she said, looking at you. You simply nodded having no idea what she was talking about but you’d go along with anything not wanting any shame on your family. She started to walk off, you followed her towards a cluster of rocks where the 4 of you sat. She started teaching how to breathe so that you could swim and stay under the water for long spans of time. Eventually Tuk got bored and went off to collect shells Kiri followed after her. After a while Tsireya had you try what you had learned in the water. As the sky got dark Eventually everyone came to meet at the rocks and your cousins headed back to their pod, following afterthem.
As the eclipse began you all gathered together for evening meal. you sat quietly eating your meal as everyone around you talked. Tsu’tey noticed how quiet you were being and learned down close to you gently speaking to you. “ what's wrong ma’ite” he asked you placing his hand on your back. “ I’m fine sempu just tired” you mumbled to him. You rushed to finish your food you just watching as everyone kept eating you had started to drift off with sleep, Tus’tey seeing this gently pulled you to his side letting you rest against him. You moved as close as possible enjoying your fathers warm as you were still cold from the water. The next thing you remember was waking up from hearing something outside. You came to realize you must have fallen asleep during dinner since it was pitch black outside the pod and you were tucked between Neteyam and tuk. You slightly stretched, pulling your blanket up to your chin and going back to sleep with the others.
When morning light hit the pod you once again woke up, had morning meal and headed off with your cousins to your lessons once again.
For the next 2 weeks this was your routine waking, eating,lesson eating again and going to sleep. In that time you had become fast friends with Tsireya. You both bonded over healing as you were both studying under the Tsahik of your clans. The only one that seemed to have a problem with you still was Ao'nung anywhere you went and he was around you could feel his eyes burning a hole in you and each time you ignored it. You were currently sitting on the beach with Tsireya helping her make different salves for the Tsahik. And once again you could feel Ao'nung watching you.
Ao'nung watched you as you helped his sister. He was in the water with the sully boys just messing around on their ilu. Lo’ak road up beside him “ you know if you went up to her and talked to her she'd probably like you back “ Lo’ak teased him. He quickly turned to look at him hissing at him.” i’d never be interested in a vrrtep” Lo’aks joking matter stopped and immediately hissed back at Ao'nung” watch it fish lips for ill beat you again thats my tsmuke and nobody calls her that. Ao'nung rolled his eyes “ I Thought you said she was your cousin” he answer Lo’ak. “ same difference “ Lo’ak answered and swam off with his ilu. Ao'nung decd to go deep fishing by himself not wanting to deal with this any longer.
Looking back on that now was a dumb idea as he had gotten his legs stuck and had a large and deep cut on his leg. making it hard for him to even get off his ilu never mind even walk to the shore. You had been on the beach watching tuk play with other children when you notice Ao'nung and the dark red water around him the more he moved . you had immediately shot up going into the water to help him to shore. Sitting him on the sand . you quickly saw what was wrong. You called out to tuk to keep watch on him running to the family pod grabbing your healing bag since it was closer than the Tsahik healing pod. As you darted in and then right back out both scaring and leaving the adults confused. You came back to Ao'nung working quickly to wash and clean the open wound adding a salve to numb it before wrapping it in some leaf bandages. This whole time Aonang Watched you with wide eyes, shocked at how you just shot up, not taking a second guess to help him. When you had finished you looked up at him getting worried as he was just watching you with wide eyes not saying a single word.” Tuk!, go get your sempu quickly, we need to get him to the Tsahik and I can't carry him”. She rushed off to get jake who came quickly and took him to the Tsahik healing pod.
By the time Ao'nung had come to and realized that you had helped him he was non longer in the sand but sitting in his mothers healing pod well she fused over him. He told her that he was fine that you had already helped him. For the next 3 days he didn’t get even a clumps of you until the fourth day you had come to bring some supplies for his mother. Who he had been stuck with for the past 3 days. helping her in the healing pod as he could not put any weight on his injured leg. You greet both the Tsahik and Ao'nung with the Isee you gesture before placing the basket next to the Tsahik. She in turn greets you “ ah thank you sweet child, are you busy right now? '' Ronal aske you . you shook your head no '' perfect I need to deliver a few thing around the village, but will not have enough time to do so and return in time to change Ao'nung bandages can you stay and do that for me?” you nodded gently, “ of course Tsahik '' she gave you a small smile, taking her things and leaving the pod. Leaving you and Ao'nung alone in the pod. After a few awkward moments you decided to be useful and started separating the basket of plants you had brought in. After a while Ao'nung finally spoke “ why “ asked you. You turned to him unsure what to answer him. He spoke again, this time louser “ why ?... Why help me? ''.
You opened your mouth to speak but closed it till you could gather your word. “ why wouldn't I? Your friends with my family, i’m friends with your sister “ you trill off. “ Actually forget that even if we did not have that connection why wouldn’t I help another Na’vi, if i had gone to get the Tsahik or made you get there on your own you could have easily made your wound worse and possibly bleed out” you finished you small rant before turning to keep sorting. It was quiet for a while before he asked you another question” were you really born here?”. You sighed softly before stopping what you were doing and went to sit beside him. “ Yes, I was born here just like the other human boy. I've also been raised in the Omatikaya clan my whole life by Tsu’tey since I was a few weeks old” you tell him before he can even ask you more. Ao'nung rubbed the back of his neck nervously “ thank you for helping me …” he trailed off again. You nodded gently before he asked you something that shocked you a bit “ could we start over again?” he asked you, looking into your eyes. You just looked at him wide eyed for a moment before swallowing harshly and nodding “ y-yes we can”. He smiled back at you “ I see you (Y/N)” he made the gesture as well and you returned it '' I see you Ao'nung”.
Over the next few weeks you got to know each other then started the gifts between you. Ao'nung was the one that had started by giving you some shells to bread into your hair.which Tsireya helped you put them in before you left to get ready for the feast. Tonight was the feast celebrating the battle won against the demon ship now that all the warriors were healed and the time for mourning was over.
As you walked into the family pod nobody had noticed your new hair style until Tuk loudly spoke about it. “ (Y/N)! You look so pretty with the shells Ao'nung got you!” you turned bright red and quickly looked down. your whole family had different reactions the boys weren’t to happy knowing what it meant because they were there when Ao'nung collected the shells, well kiri was trying to hold her laughs in because of her brothers reaction well your Neytiri simply smiled at you well Jake and Tsu'tey looked like deer cot in the headlights. “ i’m … just gonna get my clothes and help Tsireya set up the feast ….. “ you quickly got your clothes and ran back out yelling out a quick “ bye “ as you left.
Later that night at the feast. Both of your families were sat around a fire eating together when you brought over a bowl of Ao'nung favorite fruit for him handing it to him as you sat next to him. He blushes at this, making both Neytiri and Ronal coo at what they saw. This continues on for a while giving each other small gifts or simple gestures of bring each other food, and maybe a bit of showing off on Ao'nung part when he catches a partly large animal showing it to you proudly. Ao'nung had finally built up the courage to present you with a courting gift ( the necklace in the title)
Avatar o caminho da água [MALE READER].
Parte 01
Arte de https://href.li/?https://www.instagram.com/eanaunil/ , agradeço a @pandoraheadcanons por fazer questão de me falar. Sinceramente não sabia já que peguei a foto no Pinterest e nn tinha nada sobre o artista.
Neteyam observou com admiração e também um pouco de surpresa quando um jovem Metkayina se aproximou deles, ignorando completamente a presença da família e indo diretamente acariciar o Ikran que ele estava em cima.
Ele ficou abismado com a ousadia do outro, mas ao mesmo tempo se sentiu intrigado com a atitude. O Na'vi da idade dele pareceu não se importar com a família, focando toda a sua atenção no Ikran - que estava adorando o carinho, algo que não era comum.
Neteyam observou o animal, que parecia aproveitar o carinho do outro sem nenhuma reação agressiva, o que deixou o jovem Na'vi ainda mais surpreso. Ele sempre viu o Ikran como uma criatura feroz e incontrolável, mas diante daquele contato pacífico, percebeu que existia uma relação de confiança entre o animal e o Metkayina.
Com um pequeno sorriso no rosto, o omatikaya olhou para o de pele clara e para o Ikran, sentindo um misto de emoções.
Ao sentir um cheiro gostoso que o fez tremer, ele reparou que vinha do garoto, o cheiro forte significava que era um alpha e estava feliz.
O Omatikaya não pode deixar de reparar nas costas tatuadas do macho em sua frente, e ao Alpha se virar e finalmente prestar atenção na família ele sorriu levemente.
Neteyam olhou para o Metkayina com um sorriso animado no rosto. Ele rapidamente levantou a mão e tocou a própria testa, fazendo a saudação tradicional.
O outro entendeu o gesto e também sorriu, aceitando o cumprimento.
— I see you Neteyam te Suli Tsyeyk'itan, é um prazer em te conhecer. — A voz do Alpha era algo agradável aos ouvidos, estimula algo dentro dele que fazia seu ômega quase ronronar em deleite.
— Prazer em te conhecer, eu sou Lo'ak! — Neteyam quase rosnou ao ver seu irmão tomando a atenção que estava ganhando, e aparentemente Lo'ak estava como ele, quase ronronando em deleite.
Neytiri observou seus dois filhos, tanto Neteyam quanto Lo'ak, se aproximando do Metkayina com interesses diferentes do que ela esperava.
Ela olhou para os filhos, enquanto eles tentavam chamar a atenção de o Metkayina. Ela não pôde deixar de notar como seus filhos pareciam quase ronronar de satisfação ao receberem a atenção do possível guerreiro.
Ela franziu a testa em confusão. Em poucos segundos, ela entendeu o porquê dos dois estavam se aproximando dele.
Os dois estavam se apaixonando? Ou os ômegas deles reconheceram aquele Alpha como parceiro?
Ao olhar, ela percebeu que era a segunda opção, mas Neytiri sentia bem que isso era um grande problema e quando viu um ômega de pele azulada aparecer atrás do alpha. Ela entendeu que ambos estavam prometidos,assim como ela esteve com Tsu'tey anos atrás.
『••✎••』
— Então, quem é esse [Nome] ? — Lo'ak perguntou a Tsireya
. — Já explicaram para você, não foi? — Ela disse olhando para o omaticaya.
— Sim, mas eu não ouvimos direito. — Neteyam respondeu, também curioso sobre o Alpha.
— Ele é um Alpha como devem ter reparado, e também é a nossa conexão mais próxima que temos com Eywa , ele é capaz de falar diretamente com a grande mãe sem precisar se conectar com a árvore espiritual… [Nome] também é capaz de controlar a água, mas apenas em uma certa quantidade, quanto mais água ele controla, mais fraco ele fica e pode até desmaiar. — Tsireya respondeu.
— Por que ele é o único assim então? — Lo'ak perguntou e a na'vi se virou para a família Sully.
— Você faz muitas perguntas, depois eu conto. Aqui é a sua casa.
Ao serem deixados sozinhos na nova casa, ele foram arrumar tudo e enquanto se ajeitavam Neteyam se aproximou de sua mãe.
Neytiri olhou para o filho com curiosidade, vendo uma expressão estranha em seu rosto. Ele parecia ter algo a dizer, mas estava se contorcendo em uma mistura de ansiedade e vergonha. Eventualmente, ele encontrou coragem para falar.
— Mãe, eu tenho um sentimento muito estranho. Não sei o que é ou o que significa, mas sinto algo estranho no meu peito… Eu senti isso quando vi o tal [Nome].
『••✎••』
[Nome] abraçou Ao'nung com carinho, sentindo o calor do corpo do ômega contra o seu próprio.
Ele cedeu à tentação de pressionar os lábios contra o pescoço de Ao'nung e exalou um leve suspiro enquanto roçava os lábios na pele macia e delicada de seu prometido.
O ômega ronronou suavemente em resposta, enlaçando seus braços em torno do corpo de [Nome] enquanto inclinava a cabeça para o lado, oferecendo mais espaço para as carícias do Alpha.
O Metkayina sentiu as mãos de Ao'nung acariciando suas costas e sentiu um calafrio ao ouvir o suspiro profundo que escorreu dos lábios carnudos ômega.
[Nome] apertou o parceiro mais fortemente em seus braços enquanto continuava a dar pequenos beijos no pescoço do ômega, respirando seu perfume e se deleitando em sua proximidade.
Por um breve momento, o mundo exterior parecia não existir mais. Ao'nung era tudo o que importava e [Nome] não queria que aquele momento acabasse.
Tsireya sorriu suavemente ao ver seu irmão e [Nome] em uma bolha de carinho entre eles. Depois de um tempo juntos, ela decidiu se aproximar junto dos filhos dos Sullys.
Com um sorriso no rosto, a Metkayina apresenta formalmente seus novos amigos Neteyam, Lo’ak, Kiri e Tuk para [Nome] e Ao'nung. Os quatro jovens mostram-se animados e curiosos, ansiosos para conhecer mais sobre os costumes do clã da água.
— Estes são Neteyam, Lo’ak, Kiri e Tuk. Eles são filhos de Neytiri e Jake, vão ser eles que vamos ensinar.
— Estaremos ensinando a vocês como respirar hoje. — Ao'nung falou para todos, se soltando dos abraços de seu Alpha se virando para eles.
Lo'ak caminhava em direção a Tsireya, se aproximando e sentindo-se um pouco nervoso, mas determinado a perguntar algo importante. Quando ele chegou perto o suficiente, cogitou falar algo.
— Tsireya quando qu- —
Tsireya o interrompeu de maneira afobada.
— Te direi mais tarde, tenha paciência. — Ela disse meio afobada e logo olha para os outros. — Primeiro é só entrar na água e se acostumar com isso, é só aproveitar o oceano um pouco enquanto eu falo com o Lo'ak ok? [Nome], você pode ajudar Tuk?
Lo'ak ficou momentaneamente surpreso com a interrupção, mas não demorou muito a entender que a Tsireya não queria falar perto dos outros.
Todos eles acenam com a cabeça e mergulham, o Alpha concordou , com um sorriso leve em seus lábios e foi para o mar acompanhado da sully mais jovem.
Tsireya se vira e vai até Lo'ak.
— Já que você quer tanto saber. Há apenas um que tenha a conexão como [Nome] tem com Eywa por vez, uma vez que um passa, outra pessoa no clã "se torna" o novo com a conexão com ele… Isso não é por acaso. Eywa escolhe uma pessoa que ela acha que é digna o suficiente para ter esse poder, só que no caso do [Nome] … Ela o mandou, um filho dela que foi entregue por um Thanator… Não tem muito o que explica… [Nome] às vezes brilha por causa do poder que contém,assim como ele brilhou quando abraçou sua mãe.
Ele não sabia o que dizer, não sabia que ele era tão importante para o clã.
Tsireya apontou para onde o Alpha estava brincando com Tuk, ele estava fazendo bolhas de água no ar enquanto a pequena as estourava .
Kinktober: Day 27
Anal
A/N: hiiiiii I like how this one went but not entirely pleased with it but wanted to get it posted
Pairing: Neteyam x (fem) Omiticaya reader x Ao'nung
Warnings: threesome, slight nipple play, oral (fem received) fingering, oral (male received), cumming in mouth, p in v, p in a, creampie
¤¤¤
You had hoped that the night of your celebration, the night you had.. fun.. with two certain navi wouldn't have been the last. But all good things must come to an end.
At first, they treated you normally. Greeting you fondly, respectfully even. Then Neteyam started to withdraw, and with him went Ao'nung.
You'd thought that after they had cuddled you throughout the night that maybe that wasn't it.
But you were glad, in a way. It was an amazing opportunity, a great first time with two people that held your heart. It even proved to help you get more confident, and it seems that multiple young males and females of the metkayina noticed this too.
You began to get gifts at random, more fish brought to you at the big meals, and even new arrows crafted.
Now that one was impressive, you only hunted with your bow up in the mountains behind the village, so that one took some thought.
But because of this new attention on you, it meant that those two individuals had noticed it all. They noticed the lingering touches, the stares, the talks.
So when you're heading back to your marui, carrying a basket of fresh fruits just gifted to you, the last thing you expect was to be bombarded as soon as you step into your home.
"What the-" you gasp, jumping as arms wrap around your middle from behind.
"Hello, yawne," the raspy voice of Ao'nung speaks fondly, kissing your shoulder blade.
You shiver, tail flicking hard between his legs.
"Tahni," Neteyam speaks softly, standing before you. He steps forward, reaching out as soon as he's close enough to cup your cheek.
Your ears are perked up, shock evident on your features,"Hello, what are you two doing here?"
Ao'nung exhales through his nose, then presses soft kisses to your neck,"Just wanted to visit, is all."
"Ao'nung," Neteyam stares at him blankly before turning his gaze to you,"We.. missed you."
Your gaze widens slightly before narrowing, and you pull yourself out of Ao'nungs hold.
"Why the change of heart? You had made it clear it was a one night thing.." You walk further into your marui and place the basket down then turn back to them.
They share a look, then turn to you.
"I do regret how I handled it afterwards.. it was not respectful to you," Neteyam speaks soft, ears pinning back to his skull with a grimace on his features, looking away in guilt.
Ao'nung nods, opening his mouth to speak, before closing it and looking away.
"It was a great time," you start, and you notice their tails flick, ears perking slightly,"It should remain a one time thing. I do not wish my heart to be tampered with."
"It- it wouldn't be! Tahni," Ao'nung starts, taking a small step towards you,"We.. we talked it over and we really would like to try. Neteyam- he's an idiot."
"Hey!" The sully boy smacks his friend, hissing lightly.
"It's true! He was stuck on the whole 'I can't mate with my sisters best friend', the skxawng."
Neteyam looks away in embarrassment, crossing his arms over his chest.
You snort at that, shaking your head. You know you have a light blush across your cheeks by this point.
"So, what changed? Was it the few people asking for courtship?"
You turn around, picking out the fruit until you find the one you'd craved, turning back to them as you bite into it. The juice drips down your wrist, to which Ao'nung spots.
He swallows thickly.
"Yes- no, it's complicated-"
"Not really," you interrupt him, chewing into the fruit again,"What is it, jealousy?"
They share a look. They're silent, and you chuckle.
"I told you, I do not wish my heart to be tampered with," you look away,"Please do not lead me on with false hopes."
"We wouldn't," Ao'nung steps closer, only a foot away by now and he reaches out to gently touch your arm,"What we feel is real, and that night- it was incredible. You were.. you took us so well."
His voice is a purr by the end of it, and you can't escape that shiver down your spine. You'd be lying to yourself if you said that you hadn't thought about that night constantly.
Neteyam is next to step closer,"we'd like to try with you, keep having this relationship, if you'll have us."
You gaze at him for a moment, thinking it through.
It is putting your heart on the line.
But it feels worth it. You had been craving their touch since that night- you made up your mind.
You glance back up at them. Heat coiling below your belly, tail flicking suggestively behind you. The grip on that fruit tightened, juices dripping down your forearm as you held it up to your lips.
"Don't make me regret this," is all you say, and Ao'nung pounces.
He grabs the fruit from your hand, squeezing it accidentally and more of the juices drip down your front, a sticky line down your chest. He's quick, though, lifting your arm to lick up the mess up to your wrist while maintaining eye contact. You huff out a heated breath, shuddering quietly.
Neteyam steps forward to your other side and cups your jaw, angling you his way and sealing his lips over yours in a hot and passionate kiss. It's sweet, messy, he licks into your mouth and bites your lower lip, his hips jutting into yours. You can distinctly feel the growing length below his tewng.
He pulls away and you gasp, only to be gripped and turned the other way and Ao'nung kisses you frantically. It's overwhelmingly dominant, he controls it from the get-go and it muffles the strained moan as you feel Neteyam untying your necklaces and licking over your nipple, collecting any juice that dripped down there.
Ao'nung pulls away, following the sully boys lead and sucking over your other nipple. You bow forward, moaning shakily at the differing pleasures, but then suddenly it's gone.
You try to speak, but gasp as you're grabbed, lifted, then walked over to your bed by Ao'nung. He's quick to drop you onto the blankets and pillows, yanking down your tewng and spreading your thighs.
You nearly shriek out a moan as he descends quicker, hand spreading your folds and mouth connecting to your clit.
"Oh, fuck!" You bark out in surprise, eyes wide at the ceiling before gradually bringing them down to his.
Your thighs try to close, but he's gripping the back of your thighs and draping them over his shoulders. A weak, punched out breath is pulled from your lungs when he licks at your hole, groaning at the taste of your slick.
"Eywa, I missed this," he nearly moans into you.
Neteyam has been watching, slowly peeling off his tewng and stroking at his cock.
"Look at how needy she is," he coos, sitting down to cup your jaw,"Missed us, didn't you?"
You nod weakly, and he grins, before shuffling closer and prodding his cock towards you. When you don't budge, a teasing glint in your eyes, he forcibly opens your mouth by the grip at your jaw, pressing his cock into your mouth, pressing further in until you nearly choke. His hands tangle into your hair and you whine as he uses your mouth and throat for his own pleasure.
The man between your legs presses two fingers into you, quick, and your hips roll up into his face as he drills them into you at a rapid pace, spreading you.
The cock in your throat spears almost roughly, hand tight in your hair and your breath was running out. Your chest burns but you continue to wrap your tongue around the underside of his cock.
There's a point where Neteyam drags your face to take his entire length until your nose presses against his navel. Your throat tightens as you swallow around him, and your chest burns hot when he holds you there, fondly stroking the stray hairs from your face. It feels like an eternity, throat full of his cock before he finally yanks you off. You gasp for breath, vision hazy.
"Hold your breath," is his command and you listen, especially when not even a moment later he's pressing your mouth back onto his cock down to the hilt and holding you there.
You're already too numbed out with pleasure to realize Ao'nung had slipped his fingers out to coat them in an oil, prodding at your asshole and gently pressing in. You jerk, body tightening around the digit and groan around the length down your throat.
Neteyam grunts, panting harshly and dragging you off, allowing you a moment to breathe again before dragging you back down, finally starting to thrust. It's three pumps, then he holds you down, cockwarming his length.
Ao'nung inserts another finger, scissoring you open as Neteyam fucks into your throat.
Your chest burns again but you hold out, hands clutching the blankets beneath you before you cry out a moan when Ao'nung sucks hard over your clit.
Your orgasm washes over you quick, slick gushing out of you and leaking down Ao'nungs neck.
Neteyam thrusts into you a final time before dragging your head down as he cums down your throat.
"Swallow it," he speaks roughly, hips grinding into your face as he shoots out a few more ropes before finally pulling out.
You cough, swallowing any excess and gasping for breath. You then whine as you're lifted, turned around by Ao'nung and you realize Neteyam is still hard, angling it and laying on the bed.
Ao'nung guides your pussy over the sully boys length before pressing you down. The tip presses in and in one fell swoop, the entire length presses into you.
You're pressed down onto Neteyams chest, tail gripped and cheeks spread as the male behind you presses his cock to your asshole, pressing until the tip pops in.
"Oh, shit! Wait- fuck," you rasp out, grimacing at the foreign feeling.
Ao'nung kisses up your back,"You can take it, paskalin," and gingerly presses more of his length into you.
After you adjust, his hips finally press to your rear.
"You take us so well, tahni," Neteyam cups your cheek as you rest against his shoulder.
Your body is still tight around them, even moreso with the new experience.
Ao'nung is the first to pull back, gently thrusting back into you. Neteyam is next, gripping your hips and planting his feet down to buck up into you.
This begins a slow but gradually speeding up pace, the sully boy fills you just as the metkayina prince pulls out, back and forth, and you nearly cry from the enslaught of pleasure. You're moaning openly, babbling incoherent words and they can't help but grin cockily at this.
"I'm not gonna last- mmph, fuck," Neteyam kisses your shoulder, licking over your sweat damp skin as his hips grind deeper into you.
"Surprise, surprise," Ao'nung teases, smirking, ignoring the hiss and speeding up his own thrusts.
Your second orgasm punches you in the gut, unexpectedly and you don't have time to prepare yourself as your cunt tightens, convulsing and squirting around Neteyam.
You cry out, moaning breathlessly. Your entire body shakes with this orgasm, tightening around Ao'nung as well and he moans in surprise, thrusting coming to a stop as he grips your hips, pressing himself into you entirely as he cums into your ass. The feeling is weird, but not unpleasant.
Soon enough, Neteyam groans, clenching his teeth as he cums into your cunt.
You slump onto neteyam entirely, still filled as they come down from their highs.
Neteyam snickers breathlessly, smirking at Ao'nung as he strokes his fingers over your back.
"Surprise, surprise, huh?"
Tawtute Sickness (A Precious Drabble)
Pairing: Adult Ao'nung x Hyperfeminine Human Reader
This one shot is from the Precious series. It can be read alone but reading the Precious origin story gives a better experience and context.
Summary: There is still so much that Ao'nung does not understand about Sky People so with your cycle running off track, he is in for quite a surprise.
Warnings: MDNI, explicit talk of menstruation, talk of blood, hormones, hurt/comfort, misunderstanding, dominant Ao'nung, interspecies relationship, aged up Ao'nung, crying, self doubt, insecurity, protective Ao'nung, swearing, PMS, sexual themes, etc.
A/N: This is just a random little fun something I thought of when I was on my period. Nothing like a silly fantasy to help one cope:)
Adult Ao'nung pic by @cinetrix
Another cramp rolls through you mercilessly. With a groan you stuff a handful of stolen popcorn into your mouth. Surrounded by a small parade of stuffed animals atop your bed and drowning in the charm that is Mr. Darcy, there is no better place to take refuge. Your period has sprung into action earlier than expected but you’re proud of how things have been handled.
It had taken copious amounts of bribery to convince Norm to deliver an excuse to Ao’nung as to why you can’t see him for a bit. Although double his age and even in possession of an Avatar body, Norm has always crumpled slightly under Ao’nung’s presence. Even as his visits have become more frequent at the outpost. The sight makes you giggle, no matter how hypocritical that is considering you too were anxious in his company for the first few weeks here.
Despite the time that has passed since feelings were shared between the two of you, there is still a level of intimidation and intensity that comes with Ao’nung’s visits. He is never shy when it comes to sharing his opinions. Half the time it is hard to tell what will come out of the Metkayina male’s mouth next. Although, there are ways to identify the mischief that dances in his ocean blue eyes before.
And neither is he bashful when it comes to sharing his particularly ravenous intentions with you. You would not be able to count on both hands the amount of times you’ve tried to swat his hands away while the two of you are in public. Not that it deters him. With a potential mating on the way it’s clear that the Metkayina prince views you as his own. Even in the extreme heights of embarrassment you can’t resist the wonders that he bestows upon your body. Always leaving your heart pounding at your rib cage and red face tucking under his chin afterwards.
So in a way, you can’t blame Norm for never growing accustomed to Ao’nung’s company.
Regardless, the alibi has been sent and you’ve foraged for the proper snacks and feminine supplies to get your through. Now all that’s left to do is tuck into your room like a locked away princess in a tower and survive the next five days. Everything is going according to plan despite the sudden arrival of ‘Aunt Flow’. And in a few days you will be back snuggled in the impressively bulky arms of a certain Metkayina male.
With a sigh you snuggle deeper into the plush surface. Despite the risk of stains you’ve allowed yourself the luxury of wearing one of your favorite pajama sets. It’s a dusted pink shade of silk that reminds you of the vintage film Sleeping Beauty. With the soft trim of purple lace along the sleeve and shorts hem, you feel like a delicate princess waiting to be rescued. Perhaps a foolish and even childish way to cope but it’s easier to get through the pain when you blur the harsh lines of reality into that of day dreams.
However, it seems reality will not be kept out for long.
Or at least, Ao’nung won’t be.
You hear his pounding footsteps before he even reaches your hallway, the faint echo of Norm’s protests doing nothing to stop that determined rhythm. Norm scatters away once Ao’nung has pushed your door open, with a little too much force that makes you cringe. It’s an under evaluation of his strength luckily and not rooted in any real malice. Not when his eyes now narrow at you with a playful reprimand as his tail swings.
“What have I said about avoiding me, precious?” He clicks his tongue, hands atop his hips as you scramble further under the pillows and stuffies.
You feel foolish for thinking this plan would work but now that Ao’nung is here you are ready to do whatever it takes to conceal your embarrassing condition.
“Not to.” You cake the tone over with sweet innocence and an even more tooth rotting smile. As always it’s done with a certain level of hesitancy, your nerves getting the better of you when his bulking frame is taking over your doorway. Still, you’ve learned there are special ways to soften Ao’nung’s composure.
He takes a few strides into your room, effectively prompting you to scoot back further towards the headboard.
“Hm, so then why is my precious sevin tucking away from me? I’m starting to think you crave some discipline, paskalin.” That sharp curve of a devilish smirk looks stunning along his turquoise lips. And like the true traitor she is, your pussy flutters at the sight.
It’s not fair for him to waltz in here with bedroom eyes and chest still adorned with a hunting harness and weapons. Not fair when your body is literally punishing you for not being pregnant and Ao’nung offers himself up on a silver platter for your nature’s carnal desires. And especially not fair when pieces of those curling strands have fallen from his bun and lay across his collarbones to leave drops of salt water.
You are in no state to be making plans. And definitely not finding ways to coerce the stubborn prince away from something he wants.
“I’m just not feeling well, Ao’nung. Didn’t want to make you sick.”
Ao’nung scoffs at the idea, borderline offended that you would even consider that a possibility. With your delicate state it seems laughable to him that you would be capable of passing on any sort of sickness to him.
“Such a fragile thing.” He steps forward with the roll of his eyes. “Do not worry, I will-”
His sentence cuts off as sharp as the jagged rocks on the westside. Now at the foot of your bed, his nostrils flare visibly. Your stomach tangles in despair, already anticipating where this is going.
“You’re bleeding.” He states, dark tone barely giving you a chance to register his words before he is rushing to your side. Ao’nung crawls onto the bed without a passing concern for the screeching of the bed frame under his weight. Within seconds his large frame is towering over your own smaller body until you are wedged into the corner.
“No it’s nothing really. Well I mean I am bleeding but not in the way you think…or well it’s…” The rambling doesn’t reach his ears, ocean eyes searching over every inch of you to find the injury. Trepidation settles at the looming embarrassment that threatens to follow as you desperately squeeze your thighs together.
Fighting against Ao’nung massive hands that clutch your shoulder and hips to turn you is useless but you can’t resist trying. And then his eyes snap downwards and with it your last shred of hope signed away. A look of utter horror contorts over his face as he stares down at the thin shorts just barely covering your panties.
A beat of silence ensues.
Face now the shade and temperature of a raging bonfire you struggle to think of a response through the fog of humiliation.
“How…” The sound is barely choked out from his lungs. It’s a rare sight to see Ao’nung speechless, every ounce of playful banter wiped clean. And if the circumstances were any different, as in not having that dread painted across his face at the reveal of your bleeding vagina, then you would be tempted to enjoy seeing the mighty male so caught off guard.
His fingers dig into the flesh of your plush hips. It’s clear that his head is struggling to come back online and process what devastating news he has uncovered.
“Well you see-” Your voice unfortunately seems to snap him out of whatever daze he has been in, his body moving into action before you can even finish your sentence.
“I will take you to my mother.” Perhaps the most terrifying sentence Ao’nung could say as he starts trying to pull you into his arms. Embarrassment bleeds into panic. A sense of anxiety bounces between the two of you as he rushes to scoop you up and bring you to the healer’s tent and you grasp at anything to keep from being met with the most intimidating woman on the planet in this condition.
“No wait! Ao’nung it’s fine. I’m fine.” It’s not much use when he already has your wiggling figure dragged to the end of the bed with just one hand around your ankle. It traps you underneath his body in one swoop.
“You are bleeding.” Ao’nung reiterates, sharp canines coming to show with a slight hiss. “Mawey tawtute, she will know what to do.” He nods firmly, but there's a crack of hesitance in his voice. As if the reassurance is really there for himself than anyone else. You’ve never seen Ao’nung so serious before, nor this panicked.
Your pleas for release mean nothing as he quickly gathers you into his arms. Panic and humiliation work in tandem to wrestle you into a state of utter panic. And working more on instinct than real thinking you do the one thing that will grant you freedom.
You grab a fistful of curly hair and yank. Hard.
Dropped back onto your plushy bed as Ao’nung lets out a pained hiss you scramble for the one place you might be able to hide. It’s painfully obvious and stereotypical but your closet is the first and only place you can think to escape the handsome male. The door bangs shut, encasing you in the darkness surrounded by frilly dresses and tickling lace.
You grasp the handle with all the determination your exhausted body can muster. Ronal is a wonderful healer and exquisite leader but quite literally the last person on the planet you would want to witness your embarrassing, very stupidly human, condition. It’s likely that similar to her son she too would not know about human menstruation.
It’s gross. You feel gross. Your entire body aches and as Ao’nung starts to yank on the other handle tears are already welling up in your eyes. From what emotion exactly you haven’t the faintest clue but the weak reaction brings a pit of annoyance into the mix too. Because of course all it takes is your concerned boyfriend who is just trying to help, to put you into another crying fest. This would be the third one this morning.
It seems that whatever god created humans was far less kind than Eywa who at least had the decency to keep women from suffering monthly in the name of procreation. And with that thought in mind, anger comes to intertwine as well.
“Ao’nung stop! I’m not injured!” A rough shout that is anger more directed at your current situation than hands that now swing the door open.
The Metkayina male however is more than peeved now too. He isn’t about to take no for an answer as he hooks a thick arm around your midsection to pull you out.
“Stop struggling.” He growls.
You're halfway to the doorway of the bedroom and Ao’nung is anything but deterred by your babbling about how it is normal, just a tawtute thing. So your mouth makes a decision before your brain can approve it.
“It’s because I’m not pregnant!” A shout loud enough to echo down the outside hallway and freeze the Metkayina prince in place.
What a stupid thing to say. A terrible terrible mistake, you decide as you wiggle out of his grasp to glance up at his face. Now having rendered the male speechless twice in five minutes you feel slightly guilty. And humiliated. Along with disgusting, angry, tired. In fact you may as well feel every emotion under the sun with the way your chest squeezes painfully.
“I’m not hurt. I’m not in need of healing. It’s called menstruation. Yet another wonderful thing about being a human woman. Where my stupid vagina decides to bleed every month because there is no fucking baby in me!” Your screeches make Ao’nung’s ears pin back, your chest heaving with the effort as tears rocket down your cheeks. You can’t find it within yourself to care that this is the harshest language Ao’nung has ever heard from you. Not when sobs are already crawling up your throat and tears blurr the view of the towering male before you.
The same male that is beautiful beyond belief. The same that has somehow found some interest in you. And now the same that has yet another gross reason to rethink being with a human.
“So no I’m not hurt but I am…am…” Trembling lips crumble into a pout. Ao’nung’s tail curves. “I am miserable. Cramping. Tired. So fucking sad because this is the seventh time I’ve watched Pride and Prejudice because I can’t find the other earlier remake of it. And angry because I’ve already ruined a pair of pink panties. The ones with the clouds…that…that took me hours to make and…and I’m so disgusting!” Ao’nung’s eyes are blown wide enough to push his hairless brows into his hairline. “There’s blood everywhere! And I fucking hate it! And…and..my sleeve got caught on the doorknob earlier-”
Strong arms gently pull you until your cheek meets the warm skin of his abs. That simple action is enough to break the dam barricading your emotions. Now in a full meltdown, you paint his swirled skin with your tears and the racketing sobs fill the room sporadically. It feels nice to have something to hold onto, small fingers squeezing his hips as you break down.
Minutes. Hours. Years. There is no recalling how long the two of you spend in that position as you unleash every torturing feeling from your chest. What you do know is that those large hands drawing up and down your back eventually soothe those sobs into small hiccups and then finally into short sniffles.
“You’re not hurt.” Ao’nung checks again, calmly breaking the silence.
“M’not hurt.” You mumble against his skin, soon thereafter mourning the loss of contact when Ao’nung carefully shifts you backwards. Disappointment does not linger for long, however, when a set of turquoise thumbs brush away the tears falling over your cheeks.
Although his expression appears to be nothing related to anger, it’s difficult to decipher what exactly the Metkayina prince is thinking. A part of you wishes to not even venture to guess but that train of thought has already left the station. Another wave of embarrassment floods as you imagine just how ridiculous you must look at this moment. Eyes blotching and red as you cry over a simple natural process that is nothing in comparison to that of which the Na’vi go through to maintain everyday village life. Hiding away from your boyfriend in a sea of stuffed animals and stuffing yourself with popcorn as your way of throwing a pity party all while Ao’nung is still dressed in his hunting gear.
No doubt he has been up since dawn. Fulfilling both physically and socially draining duties to keep the clan running smoothly, in preparation for his time of reign. Ao’nung is everything you are not. You knew it within the first few minutes of meeting him. Perhaps he is not always the most patient or humble, but he is brave. And tough. Oh so mighty and resilient in taking on whatever Eywa throws his way.
How much worse do you appear when coming from that perspective? Still dripping in salt water and spear leaning against the doorframe, what compels him to want to spend time with a whiny thing like you?
“Stop crying.” Large hands bracket the sides of your head as he works to keep up with the dropping tears.
And you wish you could.
You wish you could be more like the mighty warrior in front of you. Years have proven you to be nothing more than a small child that can not let go of her toys. Drowning in day dreams as your silly way to cope.
That truth spins despair back into full swing. You feel even more guilty when Ao’nung pulls you back into his embrace, because who are you to warrant such affection? It’s clear that he deserves someone so much more and yet you selfishly accept the feel of his strong arms encircling you because it makes you feel safe. Because it allows air to properly enter your lungs again at a normal speed.
When Ao’nung takes a knee to match your eye level, you twist to veer away from those crystal-like eyes. The Na’vi doesn’t give you much of a chance as he manhandles you back into place,his tongue clicking in disapproval, so he can look you over properly.
“My poor tawtute.” He coos at you, as if addressing a lost juvenile creature without its mother. “Mawey, oeyӓ paskalin.” [Calm, my dear] And before your brain can register the sweet nectar of his words, larger lips are pressing against your own. The light flutter of your heart is recurrent as he patiently works to deepen the kiss. It’s different from those that fill your passionate nights of lovemaking. Ao’nung patiently pulls you into that bliss until you are melting against him.
Heavy eyes stall in opening once Ao’nung has pulled away.
“Bring your mask.” Ao’nung intstructs abruptly.
“What?”
He has already risen to full height, a large hand resting along your spine to urge you towards the door. Unbothered by your confusion, he takes a well needed sip of air from his own dangling mask. When he does catch a glimpse of your expression he pauses before a smirk tugs at his lips and his tail bats playfully.
“And your bunny of course.” He eyes the discarded toy with lips pulling back just enough to reveal sharp canines. “You will feel better once you are home.”
And suddenly you are no longer confused. It should have been obvious, this most recent topic of argument between the two of you. No matter how fascinated Ao’nung is by your well decorated room he stops at nothing to coerce you to abide in his marui. He has been caught more than a few times even openly smuggling things from your room in the scheme of planting it in his home like bait for his prey.
“Ao’nung no. I can’t come over tonight. Not like this.”
Those hairless brows knit together as he sweeps over your frame once more. It’s clear he finds no flaw in your condition that would prevent you from letting him steal you away to his home.
“And besides I have everything I need right here.” You scramble back over to your bed and begin explaining the little nest you have created for yourself. “Pillows for the perfect position, stuffed animals, snacks, and in another twenty minutes Mr. Darcy is going to confess his undying love for Elizabeth.” It’s clear that the last indication is lost on him as he follows your point towards the small tv.
It’s not his first time observing the thin rectangle that plays moving pictures but it still manages to catch his confused attention each time. His lips curl back and faces squints with an utter look of disgust. The fact that the characters speak in Sky People language never helps to spark an interest for him.
“I’m fine right here, Nung. I promise.” Your soft smile when you perch to sit atop the covers is only met with a scowl. The difficulty in explaining this to Ao’nung is yet another reason you had originally planned to hide away alone until this nightmare had blown over. “Go back to your duties. I’ll be happy here.”
And that is the tipping point for Ao’nung. What is meant to come off as reassurance instead has his hairless brows pinching together and large hands settling over his curved hips.
“You’re staying here for mester darsee.” It’s difficult to take his misplaced anger seriously when he struggles to pronounce the few English words.
“No, Ao’nung that is not-”
“Fine. I will stay.” His massive body is already climbing onto your poor bed before you have another chance to protest. He continues to mutter under his breath. It’s a messy sprawl of annoyed curses and something about you not needing a Mr. Darcy. The giant Na’vi pouts even as he pulls you close to curl his body around yours.
It’s wrong to keep the future Olo’eyktan to yourself like this but watching him sulk like a giant cat is too amusing to pass up. And then there is the comfort that comes with having Ao’nung wrapped around you like a dragon protecting his hoard, so you decide to be selfish.
His curls tickle the back of your neck and a large hand spans over your abdomen. As he rubs soothing circles into your lower stomach you swear the heat and motion alone is better than the battery powered heating pack. The cramps don’t evaporate away but they settle into something more bearable, especially when your favorite scene finally comes onto the screen and you snuggle closer to your ridiculous lover.
Slowly throughout the movie Ao’nung’s hand come to explore south into territory that would have Mrs. Bennett passing into an early grave. That confident exploration is a stark contrast to the simple touches exchanged between your favorite characters, but it holds the same passion. The same tension that has your thighs clamping together in defense against his devious fingers.
You can feel the way his lips curve into a smirk against your ear. Period hormones are your sworn enemy as you are caught between fighting him off in sheer embarrassment and finally letting his hand slip underneath the band of your pretty shorts.
“Don’t worry, oeyӓ tawtute. Next month I will do better.”
The sudden comments has you taken aback. .
“Do better at what?”
“Giving you my baby.” He casually states, unbothered by the way you freeze and struggle to take in oxygen. “This Sky Demon sickness won’t come for you when you are filled with my seed.”
And like a silent promise, his thumb swipes over your lower stomach just as his fingers breach the band of your panties.
I hope you enjoyed this little musing. I can't wait to carry out some of the other plans I have for these two. If you enjoyed it too please please let me know. I can't tell you enough how much hearing your feedback and comments means to me (anonymous or not).
I can't find if your requests are closed, but if you're open, and not totally loaded with requests, may I request a human reader that is curvateous? Like, thicker thighs or a light belly, maybe larger breasts, since I noticed male and female na'vi tend to have a general shape that is rather thin and lanky (and their skin looks oddly tough and leathery?) With literally anyone, be it general HCs or a oneshot (if it is the latter, could you please do Neteyam? Ofc if it's general it can be anyone!)
Pair: Neteyam x human reader (like a mix of navi x human)
Tags: fluff, teasing, crushes, playful biting
Warning: None, the characters have 20’s
+More about my navi-human reader "HERE"
The waves crashed on your legs as you collected some shells and snails from the sand. Your hands were wet, and full of sand. But you were so happy, or so neteyam could see. He was sitting in front of you, holding a basket. A basket he had prepared for you, a nice gift that he thought would be perfect for you. You liked collecting snail shells, it was the only thing that kept you distracted. And having neteyam accompany you always put you in a good mood, it was always in the evening just as the sun was setting. As the waves crashed against the two of you.
"Look at this one!!!" you speak showing him some shells, it was brown with black dots. Neteyam shakes his head to the side, and examines what you are holding in your hands. "mmm I think you already have that one" says neteyam, reaching into the basket and pulls out a piece just like it. You laugh and drop the piece in the sand and keep looking. You keep talking while you keep looking for shells in the sand that was covered with water. Meanwhile neteyam's eyes search for a new point of attention. You had bent over the sand, you were on all fours as your face approached the wet sand, you wanted to take a closer look at what was peeking out of the wet sand. It was a harmless apt you were not doing it to tease neteyam. But neteyam's gaze rested on the exposed skin of your thighs.
His eyes followed the drops of water running down your chubby thighs, he knew it was so soft. He had touched them several times, unintentionally, as you climbed onto his ikran. How they made your body look more attractive and curvaceous while you were in this position. You were wearing a Metkayina outfit that was similar to the bottom part of a bathing suit. And your breasts were covered with a white tube top. You had made something out of some fabrics you had found lying around. His eyes wander back to the basket, as you sit back down in your previous position. Neteyam's eyes widen when he sees that all the fabric on your breasts was wet, exposing everything. His tail starts to wag quickly, he was trying not to look.
This had never been something he noticed, among the navi nudity is not something that is sexualized. But it's also not necessarily something the navi don't notice. It's normal for navi to physically interrupt each other when they like someone, and you were neteyam's crush. And this curiosity and backwardness that he had about you in the last few months was because of ao'nung. The fish boy had started talking about the differences about you, but it wasn't in a bad way. Your body was unlike any other Navi woman's, you had big, soft thighs. Big breasts, and not to mention your strange beauty, had begun to attract the attention of many Metkayina men.
"Have you seen how your thighs are so plump when she sits down….uhhhhhhh I love it" says ao'nung putting his hand on his chest dramatically. "hey careful how you are talking about Y/N. I don't want you to talk about her like that" says neteyam pushing ao'nung a little. "I'm sorry…but you have to admit. That her body is very eye-catching" neteyam tries to keep calm. "Yes…she is very beautiful" neteyam says. He hated that ao'nung talks like that about you, getting up from his place walking towards his marui. From that moment on his head began to spin. And now he was looking at you nervously, lowering his gaze. As he started playing with some shells from the basket. You begin to notice his strange behavior, usually neteyam was giving you his full attention, looking at you and talking all the time. But now he was very quiet. "Is something wrong, nete?" you ask him, moving a little closer to him. His ears twitch, and his pupils dilate as you move closer to his face. You notice this action, and quickly move away. "No…me, I'm fine" says neteyam, he was nervous. "Seriously…you don't look fine" you speak up.
Neteyam laughs nervously. "Not just…" neteyam gives a small glance at your chest and then looks at you. You notice this action and lower your gaze. Seeing that your top was wet, you adjust your clothing more. But it seemed strange to you, he had never cared. Well… no one cared. "Are you looking at my breasts?" you ask him. You swear you could see neteyam's cheeks turn a little purple, the boy tried to get comfortable in the sand. "No, N- it's just…nothing," he stammers. You cross your arms, and laugh a little. "If you were looking at them…it's okay. I don't mind if it's you" you laugh a little, you knew your whole existence was a little curious to neteyam. So you ignore him and start looking at the sand again.
Neteyam tries to calm down, he was lucky that you hadn't bothered him. Not much time passed, but you could feel him still looking at you. You could feel his eyes traveling all over your body. You quickly settled back and looked at him intently. "Ok…what do you want" neteyam looks away embarrassed again. "Hey…don't ignore me. I can feel your eyes penetrating me" you tease, and move closer to his face. Gesturing at his eyes. He gets more nervous and hugs the basket to his stomach. "It's just that I…mmm sorry, I know it's inappropriate" he tries to apologize. "Don't worry…you're not the first one to be that curious" that comment makes neteyam become alert, how could someone else have the nerve to look at you like that? "Who's looking at you like that? ao'nung!!!" neteyam gets a little upset.
You laugh. "Why are you laughing?" neteyam is confused, he wants me to answer him. He is talking seriously. "So yes, you are looking at me and ao'nung has something to do with it. Come on tell me?" you speak, you had caught him. He felt embarrassed about how he was acting. "Mmm he's been talking about…about…your body" neteyam speaks, you move closer to him. "He says…it's nice" neteyam says. The boy's hands play with the edge of the basket. "And you think so, too?" you ask with pity in your tone. Neteyam had always been quite shy with you. "I…mmm no" you look at him sadly, as he tries to adjust his words. You start to get up from the sand, you didn't want to hear his answer, maybe you had gone ahead with Neteyam. You shouldn't have asked that. Suddenly you can feel neteyam holding your wrist, turning you quickly as he feels a coolness on your left thigh.
You had just come out of the water, but this cold was something different. When you turn and look down you see how neteyam, bent over, is gently biting your thigh. You were shocked and couldn't say anything. The navi boy looks up, while gently biting your soft skin. He stays like that for a while, as he starts to open his mouth and move away from you. "Yes…yes I like it, and you are very soft" says neteyam bluntly. "You just bit me" you are surprised, you hadn't even moved. "I'm sorry" he laughs nervously. He is surprised when you move closer to his face, placing your hands on his shoulders, moving up his neck until you reach his ear. Biting down quickly. "Auhhhh" neteyam moans. You pull away and laugh. "I didn't bite that hard" he says. Feeling your hands settle on the side of his face, rubbing your thumbs on his face. "First you have to tell me and then you can bite me" you speak up, laughing a little. "You're not mad at me?" she asks.
You walk away and sit back down on the sand. And you start picking up snails, as if nothing happened. This makes neteyam nervous, just as he was about to protest you speak up. "I heard what you said to ao'nung. nete…" you look at him carefully. "If you have any questions you can ask me directly," you say. Neteyam relaxes a little, watching you go on with your work. You feel Neteyam move closer to you, moving his head to the side of your shoulder. Biting down a little. "You're soft here too," the boy says, laughing stupidly. "You're going to keep biting me,you can touch me with your hands" you laugh. "Can I touch you?" neteyam's eyes light up, while now it was your turn to blush.
P.s: Sorry if it took me too long to answer this request!!! I hope you like it, virtual hugs!
