gideon sokolov, otherwise known as valentinus, is a centurion of caesar's legion primarily based in two-sun and later cottonwood cave during the legion's conflict in the mojave wasteland. he was born within the new california republic to artem and catherine sokolov, an engineer and senator respectively. his younger brother, luke, was the courier who was tasked to deliver the platinum chip to the new vegas strip.
