Hi❤️ 2, 4, 12, 14 for Hayama. ✨
Hiii! Thank you so much for sending the numbers, and thank you for sending me numbers for my favorite boy! ✨️
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
Well, I can't really pick one favorite thing, because I literally aodre everything about him! However, one of my favorite canons about Kotaro is actually something that I rediscovered recently: it's that when he sees someone is taking a photo he has to get in on action! We had him do that once in an Audio Drama when he photobombed Seijuro's photo for Shintaro. In that one official art (that I think was supposed to picture that exact moment from the Audio Drama) we can see Reo trying to take a photo of Seijuro and Kotaro just hugging him and excitedly smiling and showing the peace sign to the camera! I think that was an adorable moment!
Now, I think he would just hug and intentionally get into the frame only when it is his friends or classmates or skating buddies taking photos. He probably wouldn't jump onto a stranger just like that... If he was aware that he was getting into a frame of a stranger's photo, I think he might just smile at the camera, wink or show some hand sign! He would just feel the need to subtly photobomb them, and that would be a respectful and non-invasive way to do so! Imagine being a tourist and looking back at your photos from Kyoto and finding a blond teenager smiling, winking or showing hearts or peace signs in the background while looking at the camera? I would find it hilarious, and very endearing and sweet! He sure made a lot of people smile like that, I just know it!
I wouldn't be me if something seemingly minor didn't tell me something deeper about the character. Of course, Kotaro's love for being in photos can be interpreted in a couple of ways and reveal something about his personality!
There is one very obvious reason why Kotaro would like to jump into people's pictures: because it's fun, it can turn out to be very funny, it creates a unique and fun memory to look back at and he is just the type of a guy to chase the fun things and fun activities! That would just prove of how lighthearted, fun, playful and upbeat his personality really is, and I love that for him!
Now, onto another perspective!
When someone loves having their photos taken, it can show just how comfortable they are with the cameras and with what they look like in photos! That can be a very obvious sign of confidence right there. Maybe Kotaro is naturally very photogenic and always looks good in photos, whether they are candid or posed, so he likes being pictured. Or maybe he thinks he always looks good because humans are always beautiful and perfect and thinks he doesn't need to look like a perfect doll to look good in a photo. So yes, maybe Kotaro's love for being in photos shows how comfortable he is with being human and how confident he is in his looks!
Still, if we look at the original canon, Kotaro doesn't really stand still and let people take pictures of him. He jumps into them! If he isn't doing it for fun, he might just do it because he wants attention. He might also do it because he is self-centered and narcissistic and wants to appear everywhere. He wouldn't really care if he was potentially ruining a photo, just as long as he was in it!
4. If you could put this character in any other media, be it a book, a movie, anything, what would you put them in?
I often wonder about this actually! I could always see him as a part of anything I was reading or watching. I recently started re-watching Marvel movies, so, let's say I would put him in a superhero movie! He could be both the hero and the villain. In both scenarios I would give him some power with lightnings and thunders and speed and people would, of course, know him as ''The Raijuu''!
If he was a hero, he would be that goofy, unserious, lighthearted, High School boy that just somehow got superpowers and is now responsible for the safety of his city while having loads of homework and studying to do! His movies as a hero would be comedic, because of his own funny nature. Reo and Eikichi would be his best friends and classmates and the only two people in his life who would know about his superpowers. They would always freak out when Kotaro has to do his superhero business, but still do their best to cover for him when he is saving the city instead of doing an exam! If you watched Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland, that is the exact type of movie for superhero Kotaro!
If he was a villain, he would be one of the few villains that the main antagonist created to get rid of the protagonist and help them fulfil their evil plans. He would be nothing but someone's puppet and obey someone's orders. I can't really see him as independent villain, because I don't really see a reason for Kotaro to be evil. Even when speaking of his role in KuroBasu you can't call him evil, and he is an antagonist just because he plays in the same team as the main antagonist. In the movie where he is a villain, he would be in that kind of a situation as well. Matter of fact, he might just be kind enough to reveal to the protagonist how they could defeat the antagonist, because he doesn't like the ideas and plans of his boss, the main antagonist.
12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?
I have a lot of headcanons for my favorite boy, but here is one that I developed most recently: that he is a picky eater. I always wondered why his favorite dish (kappamaki) was something so simple. For those of you know don't know what kappamaki is (because I had no idea what it was for a while), it is sushi roll that consists of a piece of cucumber in the middle and rice around it, wrapped in dried seaweed. Japanese cuisine is really rich and has a lot of really unique dishes, and yet this boy decides cucumber, rice and a piece of dried seaweed is the best thing there is! I know a lot of picky eaters aren't really fond of Japanese cuisine because of the combination of different food textures and the fact that you can't separate the ingredients and eat them separately. Then there is kappamaki: you can easily take the dried seaweed off, take the cucumber from the middle and eat the three ingredients independently. He might love kappamaki because of that!
When I thought about Kotaro being a picky eater, it somehow made sense to me, and I wanted to explain it somehow.
I think it might come from his childhood. Hear me out, please. We know that teenager Kotaro can't sit still. Imagine how impossible it was to get mini Kotaro to sit still. Mini Kotaro likely couldn't really sit still for a while, even if it was for a meal. He just had more important matters to attend to, he was a kid and just wanted to play and run all the time. When it was food he liked, he could sit still for a while and enjoy. On the other hand, imagine how hard it was making him eat something that he didn't like. Hellish. Considering he is the third child and his parents were likely tired of parenting, I can just see his parents giving up and giving him food he likes so he just sits still and eat. They gathered all of their patience and made sure he was fond of foods that provide the most necessary nutrients. The rest of the foods and textures? Noup. He might warm up to them when he grows up.
When he came to Rakuzan and started living in the dorms with Reo and eating in the canteen, I can see him warming up to some foods and textures. After all, you can't really pick too much in the canteen. Reo would sometimes cook for him and he would try something new, and Eikichi would also make sure to inspire him to try something new. So he kind of expands his horizons a bit in High School. Still, you can't teach an old dog how to bark. Kotaro still gets shivers down his spine if he accidentally puts two different textures in his mouth, he will never eat fries with ketchup and will keep ordering chicken nuggets in restaurants.
14. Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character?
I am not so into fashion and I don't really know the terminology, but I can see Kotaro wear the colorful 80's inspired clothes! The looks I have seen on Pinterest when I searched for '80's inspired fashion colorful men' look very pretty and bold! They look like something that would suit Kotaro and his personality! He loves being spotted and unique, so 80's inspired fashion probably does the trick since it's not something you see every day. He would have sweaters and jackets and Hawaiian shirts in so many wild colors and patterns, he would always wear colorful sneakers and socks and, of course, wear them all with the wide legged jeans! Sometimes he would have some accessories like sunglasses of unique shapes or colors, colorful bracelets and belts!

A, I, J, L, M, P, R, S, T, V, X, Y for the Honesty Hour ask!!! :D
A - If I’m in love
I suuuuck at reading my own emotions,  especially when it comes to feelings of romantic attraction. But yeah I  guess there’s someone I could imagine a future with.
I - The last time I felt jealous and why
I’m  not terribly jealous tbf. But I did feel some weird stuff when the   person mentioned above said something about their current partner. It   did...not sit well with me, which is why I think I might have some   feelings for them after all.
J - Are you insecure. What about?
I’m  insecure about how I present, my looks, the way I come off on the   internet, my writing, basically every aspect of my life, I’ve been   insecure about at one point. I’m learning to gradually get over them.
L - If I have siblings.
I  have a brother (4 yrs older) and a stepbrother that I haven’t seen in years. He was already a married man with a family when I was around 13.
M - If I forgive betrayal.
I’m  a “forgive but don’t forget” kind of person. At one point I found that  it’s petty to hold a grudge when someone genuinely wants to make up, but  there’s a good chance that I won’t let them as close and will always be  distrustful to them in the future.
P - What kind of music I like.
My  musical taste is all over the place tho. I usually describe it as   “something that moves me” since I’m into catchy rhythms/beats and   soulful lyrics but it can be just as much of Billy Raffoul than say,   Watsky or The Bloodhound Gang.
R - For me to tell 10 of my curiosities.
I had no idea what this actually meant but my last interpretation is something akin to a few fun facts so here’s ten fun facts about me (I tried to pick things I haven’t yet told you haha):
I’m a child of divorce.
I’ve been exposed to/learning English since I was 6 years old.
I used to be more interested in drawing than writing.
I think of myself as someone who’s relatively unfit, but for an unfit person I did quite a lot of sports growing up. I did martial arts (aikido briefly, and taekwon-do for a year or so), volleyball and handball, each for a year; gymnastics as a kid, soccer as a hobby, basketball, folk dance and running.
I’m not at all a picky eater, but I don’t eat fruits or most veggies. This broke some people’s brain who wanted to eat out with me.
My humor is surprisingly grim and/or filthy.
Up until the age of like sixteen I always had one or two dogs around the house. The last two were both rottweilers.
I’m the rudest polite person I know. Like I have a temper and I swear all the time at people, but I will say “please”, “thank you” and “good morning” and I even get overly apologetic while inconveniencing people (kinda like Sakurai from Touou, I’m not joking when I say I see myself in his behavior).
The furthest I ever got from Hungary is some of the few bordering countries (Slovakia, Croatia, Romania and Austria).
I pretty much discovered I was bisexual at age 10-12 and then went “oh well, it’s a problem for future me to deal with!” and practically forgot about it until I was old enough to really start liking people.
S - 2 habits.
1) I pick at my hangnails and my skin a lot
2) I observe people when they think no one is looking and smile at their endeavors.
T - 5 things I love unconditionally.
My friend, Dee
Music
Being around natural bodies of water, apparently
Dogs (and cats, altho I keep my distance whenever its needed)
Bear with me for a moment: I love love. I think people are destined for it, and I don't just mean romantic love. You need love to survive and to have a purpose. I love loving my friends, as much as I love portrayals and expressions of romantic love. I love the seconds that I get to love a stranger bc they do something endearing that I can't help momentarily falling for and I also love the kind of love that's more like a habit, like loving your parents or best friends and not even really noticing it, because it just comes so naturally.
V - 3 big dreams
I did this already but if we’re talking “I don’t think this will happen anyway” kinda big dreams, I’d like to perform as a singer, I want to be able to get into acting again, and I’d like move out of my country. Which is probably the most plausible one.
X - If I’ve done something I regret very much.
I do regret a few things in my life, but ultimately I feel like I wouldn't be where I am now without making the mistakes I've made, so let's just say that I should've applied for psychology much, much earlier.
Y - If I like my town and why.
It sucks less and less every year tbh. It's very pretty with some amazing views at high vantage points, and people are relatively nicer than they used to be, but I still remember the drunkards who used to stumble on the sidewalk right outside my window and I just can't really seem to fully assimilate into the community. I guess it's been changing for the better in the 16 years I've been living here, but I rather go anywhere else if I can.

50 Questions
I took this from @mandelene, thanks for the open invitation!
———
1. What is the colour of your hairbrush? Light brown. (It’s a wooden hairbrush.)
2. Name a food you never ever eat. Well... I’m quite a picky eater but I generally try everything if I’m pressed (even though I end up not liking it). I won’t eat very spicy food though, I don’t have a good tolerance for it. Another food I used to enjoy but now I can’t even stand the smell of anymore – and even less I would eat – is almond paste. (Long story short, I came up with something – maybe labyrinthitis – that made me awfully nauseous and dizzy for a few days. I would throw up any time I even just stood up, I couldn’t eat anything. But my roommate had on her desk and almond paste cake, which has a very strong smell. Since I constantly smelled it while feeling so sick, now that’s what I associate that smell and taste with.)
3. Are you typically too warm or too cold? Generally, too cold. I handle being cold better than I handle being hot, though.
4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago? Translating from English to Italian some stuff my dad needs for work. (He doesn’t understand/speak English.)
5. What is your favourite candy bar? Kinder Bueno, Tronky, and Bounty.
6. Have you ever been to a professional sports game? No.
7. What is the last thing you said out loud? “No, I haven’t seen your glasses. Are you sure you didn’t leave them upstairs?” to my mother.
8. What is your favourite ice cream? If it’s good, Pistachio. It’s very hard to get right, though. Not many ice cream parlours can prepare it well, they tend to make it too sweet.
9. What was the last thing you had to drink? Water.
10. Do you like your wallet? Yes. Actually, I have two – one is a big red one where I keep basically everything, the other is blue and small and I just put in there a few banknotes and coins and the cards I need, changing them every time. I like both of them.
11. What was the last thing you ate? Chicken breast and salad for dinner.
12. Did you buy any new clothes last weekend? Nope. I’ve been confined home for almost one month and a half. 😅
13. The last sporting event you watched? I don’t know. I’m not a fan of sports so I don’t watch anything spontaneously. I only watch something if I’m with somebody who wants to watch it, but I don’t remember when the last time was.
14. What is your favourite flavour of popcorn? Uhh... there are different flavours of popcorns? I only know one... 😅 I’m not a great fan, though.
15. Who is the last person you sent a text message to? An aunt of mine. (My mother’s youngest sister.)
16. Ever go camping? Yes and no. I’ve never gone with a tent in the wild or anything – however, my grandparents used to own a trailer that they kept in a fancy camping location/trailer park by the seaside. When I was a child, I would spend the entire three months of summer break there. I don’t know if it counts as camping, though. After growing older, my sister and I would sleep in a tent instead of the trailer (because the trailer was too small for everybody), but it was still in that fancy campsite which I don’t know how much can count.
17. Do you take vitamins? No.
18. Do you go to church every Sunday? Yes. I mean, not right now, clearly (all the Churches are closed due to Covid-19 lockdown) but I would go under normal circumstances.
19. Do you have a tan? No. And it’s very hard for me to get one, anyway. I’m as white as a person can possibly be. 😅 (I’m paler than an actual albino person I know at work. I wish I were kidding. 😓)
20. Do you prefer Chinese food over pizza? I prefer pizza. Very stereotypical, I know. 😅 (I’m talking about real Italian pizza, though.)
21. Do you drink your soda with a straw? Generally not.
22. What colour socks do you usually wear? White or black.
23. Do you ever drive above the speed limit? Depends on where I am and what the speed limit is. I respect the 50 km/h limit inside the cities and towns, but the 30 km/h that can be often found... yeah. 😅 (I’ve never met a driver who respected it, though.) If I’m out of the city and on a straight street across the countryside, I respect the 70 km/h limit but I tend to go faster if there’s a 50 km/h one. (Unless I know there’s an autovelox.) I’ve never gone above the 90 km/h limit, either – actually, I tend to go more around 80–85 km/h on those streets. I should probably also mention that I never drive much above the speed limit, though.
24. What terrifies you? Failure. Hurting or even just disappointing or upsetting other people. On the irrational side, I’m highly arachnophobic and I’m terrified of dogs.(Because I was attacked by a freaking SAINT BERNARD. Luckily, it just got my sweater, but it was completely mauled by the time somebody managed to get it back so... It also turned out I’m mildly allergic though, so me not staying around dogs is probably for the best anyway.)
25. Look to your left, what do you see? I actually don’t know how it’s called in English. I have a sloped wooden roof covering the left side of my bedroom, and I see it along with the skylight.
26. What chore do you hate most? Washing the dishes. Our sink is at a height that forces me to bend in an awkward way and makes my back ache if I have to wash more than a couple of dishes.
27. What do you think of when you hear an Australian accent? “OMG what is that person saying?? 😭” I’m not a native English speaker so strong non-standard accents always throw me off a bit, at least at first. 😅 I need a few minutes to get used to them.
28. What’s your favourite soda? Citron soda (I don’t know the brand. It was one my great-grandparents used to have in small glass bottles, it tasted amazing and was so refreshing...), Fanta, or Coke Zero. I don’t drink soda often, though.
29. Do you go in a fast food place or just hit the drive? I go in. I think there’s only one place with a drive-through in my hometown.
30. What is your favourite number? For some reason, I’ve always liked the numbers 3 and 11. They aren’t my lucky numbers or anything, I just like them. (Actually, thinking about it, I know why I like the number 11... In German, it’s ‘elf’, and I started taking German around the period I was obsessed with LoTR... 😅)
31. Who’s the last person you talked to? My mother.
32. Favourite cut of beef? I hardly ever eat beef (I eat meat about every other day, but it’s generally chicken or turkey breast), I don’t have a preference.
33. Last song you listened to? This one. (You’re welcome.)
34. Last book you read? Fire and Blood by George R.R. Martin.
35. Favourite day of the week? Saturday.
36. Can you say the alphabet backwards? Yes, but only the Italian one (that is missing J, K, X, Y, W). I tend to mix up some letters in the English one. 😅
37. How do you like your coffee? Plain espresso.
38. Favourite pair of shoes? My ankle-height black converse.
39. The time you normally get up? Since the lockdown started, between 8:30–9. I’ve been having trouble sleeping so I’m always tired in the morning.
40. What do you prefer, sunrise or sunsets? Sunset, the colours are gorgeous. Sunrise is still beautiful and so it’s the atmosphere, but the colours tend to be fainter.
41. How many blankets on your bed? One, at the moment.
42. Describe your kitchen plates. Kind of square, white with blue and yellow stylized flowers in the corners.
43. Describe your kitchen at the moment? Quite empty. We’re due a grocery run.
44. Do you have a favourite alcoholic drink? No, I don’t like any alcoholic drink. For some reason, I don’t like the taste of alcohol. (And there’s probably something genetic here as it’s also true for my sister, my father, and other relatives from my father’s side.)
45. Do you play cards? Technically, I know a few games but I’m not really good at them and I don’t play often.
46. What colour is your car? I use my mother’s car and it’s dark blue. We also have a dark grey car (belonging to my father) but I’ve never used it because it’s very big (you can go up to 7 seats), I wouldn’t feel comfortable with driving it, let alone parking.
47. Can you change a tire? No.
48. Your favourite state? I’ve never been anywhere in the US so I can’t say.
49. Favourite job you’ve had? The current one. The pay is very low so I’ll have to leave it as soon as I find something better, but I love these children so much. 😭
50. How did you get your biggest scar? I actually don’t have any big scar... I have several small ones. The biggest one is probably on my arm, from when I leaned against the toaster to unplug it and got this long, thin burn. 😅
———
I tag anybody who feels like doing this! And please tag me back, I’d love to read your answers! 😊

Survey #260
“better think twice; your train of thought will be altered.”
Have you ever taken a shower with anyone before? I believe Nicole and I did as kids sometimes? Do you wear your seatbelt in the car? Always. Wear your goddamn seatbelt, folks. Do you prefer to spend your time indoors or outdoors? Generally indoors, but it does depend on what I can do outside as well as the weather. How many people have you kissed? Three or four. I really can't remember if *I* ever kissed Girt. Do you just feel awkward when you dance? YIKES YUP, even when I was a dancer. Has the person you have feelings for ever told you that you’re attractive? Yes. Can you get over people easily? MOTHER OF FUCK, NO. Do you believe that there are certain circumstances where cheating is okay? No. Do you like to have long hair or short hair? SHORT. Does the sound of rain at night help you sleep? Ugggghhhh, yes. Especially cuddling while falling sleep in the rain is everything. Have you ever worn a pair of scrubs? Many times. Anything in your room that you’re hiding from your parents or someone else? Well, to a degree. I have artwork in here that I'm just self-conscious of others seeing, but I wouldn't DIE if my mom found them. They're not even really "hidden," just covered. What flavor do you add to your drink at Sonic? Strawberry. Do you like hot-dogs? I wish I didn't. What’s your favorite piece of jewelry? A fuckin hot leather, spiked choker with chains draped across it. It's just a bit tight on me now. Worst injury you’ve ever had? I skinned the shit out of my knees on the road as a kid, wound up with cuts near the bones. It was not, NOOOOOT pretty and took literally years for the scars to totally vanish. What song do you want played at your funeral? Probably "Life is Beautiful" by Sixx AM. How many keys are on your key chain? What do they go to? Just the one to the house. Have you ever taken a pregnancy test? Not in the traditional sense. Before surgery, they obviously had to be sure via a urine sample, but otherwise, no. Would you rather live in a mansion or a small cozy home? Whew, the latter, easily. If you were offered to smoke some weed right now, would you accept? Nah. Do you get your eyebrows waxed, or do you pluck them? Neither, really. I just don't care; mine aren't awful, and it's too time-consuming and "required" too frequently for me to bother. They're just eyebrows. Do you and your last ex hate each other? Not at all. Do you believe your most recent ex thinks about you? Well yeah, we're best friends. Have you ever made out for more than a half hour straight? I was literally a madly in love teenager, you can guess. How do you handle people who are overly enthusiastic all the time? "I don’t 'handle' them, they’re actually pretty cool to be around. I appreciate having that kind of energy around me because I don’t generate a whole lot of it myself and I want it to rub off." <<<< Exactly this. Do people say you look like a certain celebrity? Nah. Who do you think you look like? No one I know of. Ever loved someone who didn’t love you back? hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGALS;KDJFA;LKJEW Ever done karaoke? Did you like it? Nooooo sir. Ever seen a pregnant woman smoking/drinking? Yep. It was an occasion where I had to practice serious self-discipline to keep my mouth shut. :x What was the last piece of candy you ate? Miss Tobey brought me a Reese's yesterday morning so that. Nice breakfast lmao. Do you curse a lot? A real fucking lot. It's not intentional, it's just so ingrained in me as normal diction after being at Jason's so much when his mother is the definition of an Italian New Yorker and thus her son has a mouth too lmao. Personally, I don't believe in "profanity" in the traditional sense so it doesn't bother me in the way of "oh I'm saying too many bad words," I just know my dictionary is wider than "fuck" and "shit" oof. If you could be a Disney character for a day, who would you be? Probably like Kiara. Be a hot princess lion with a hot lion boyfriend and chill lion parents WOW am I a furry yet. Are you wearing anything of any sentimental value? Describe? Yeah, my friendship ring with Sara, a bracelet from her as well, and an ovarian cancer bracelet for my mom. Then tattoos, if you consider myself as "wearing" them. To you, what is especially distracting? The sound of TV when you're trying to sleep. What are some things that are important in your life right now? My mom's health, my mental health, job searching to at least get ideas for when transportation is easier, keeping the house clean, keeping up with Sara's health. When was the last time you did some major cleaning? A couple weeks back when I detail cleaned out both my shelves. Who challenges you the most? In what way?  My psychiatrist, but not in a bad way. He pushes me to keep improving with things. What was the last opportunity that you passed up, and why? I should know this, but I don't. Have you ever contemplated cheating on anyone? Oh no, I couldn't live with the guilt. Who do you know that gives very sound advice? Sara is great at that. What do you think makes a person weak? The will to drag someone down just because you're feeling that way. What makes a person strong? The determination to not give up. Who do you go to when you need comfort? Mom more than anyone. Where is your favorite place to get fries? BOJANGLE'S. You cannot live to your fullest potential until you've received the seasoned blessing of Bojangle's fries. What is the most recent article of clothing you’ve purchased? I think underwear. Have you ever made your own pie from scratch? No. Are there any waterfalls nearby? Definitely no big ones. Hell, maybe even no natural ones. There are lots of dams, but I don't think they count. What are your earliest memories of going to see a doctor? My first time getting my blood drawn and consciously understanding what was about to happen. Freaked the FUCK out, bolted from the room, and clinged like a monkey to a column while sobbing. It literally took multiple adults to get me off of it, and I was very little. And then when I actually got poked, apparently I just said, "... That's it?" Oh, little me, you'd take needles for hours later on in life in the name of art lol. What is your favorite condiment? Maybe ketchup. Do you know anyone who has been to rehab? Well, all the mental hospitals I've been to included addicts seeking recovery, and I befriended a few. For people more in my personal life, I think so. Would you consider yourself to be a picky eater? I am ridiculously picky. Have you ever slept in a car overnight? I'm quite sure no, not a full night. Has someone close to you died of murder? No, thankfully. Does your school offer driver’s ed? My high school did, which is where I took it. Have you ever done volunteering work abroad? No. Do you have a shower stall or a bath tub? A tub. Why do you do these surveys? I'm bored most of the time with absolutely nothing better to do. Sometimes it helps me contemplate some things about myself. Do you like shopping? Eh, depends on what I'm shopping for. What’s a show you wish that was still on air? MM IS COMIN BACK, FUCKERS. Do you like hip hop? Nooo. Do you like pretzels? I do, especially soft ones. You want your next pet to be what? It's probably going to be a tarantula. I'm not being sarcastic lmao. It just depends on if I can convince my mom. Do you like coconut scents? Sure. Would you spend 20 dollars on a candle? Hell no. What is a dessert that you DON’T like? Pie. And one that you love? mmmmmmmmMMMMMMMM ice cream. Would you rather be a vampire or a mermaid? Vampire, ig. Being a mermaid genuinely sounds boring. Where the fuck's the WiFi. Are you happy with your physical features? Bitch no. When you doodle, what are you usually doodling? Meerkats. Do you eat salads? Not enough, but I like them w/ regular lettuce and I'm open to different dressings. Favorite thing to do on your phone? Play Pokemon if I'm actually in a spot to get fckn balls. What magazines do you like? I don't read any. What is your favorite thing about Christmas? The feeling of really being a family. Do you prefer white or black electronics? Black. Firm pillow or soft pillow? S O F T Who was the last person you rode in a car with? Mom. Do you know anyone, personally, who is in an abusive relationship? Are you? Thank fuck no. Are there any people you don’t like for your significant other/crush to talk to? I’m single and don't have like... an "active" crush ig? What was the last alcoholic beverage you drank? I had a bombin' sangria for my birthday @ Olive Garden. Has one of your boyfriend’s best friends ever tried to get with you? Again, single, but for previous ones, no anyway. Are you 100% over the last person you kissed? No. Have any of your friends ever overdosed? I think so, but none died, thankfully. The last thing you downloaded onto your computer? Ummmm probably something for school. How many friends on Facebook do you have? 118. What age is the oldest you would date at the moment? It'd take me seriously liking someone to go slightly beyond 30. Do you want to be single? I don't know. I don't really know if I'm "fit" to be in a relationship right now, like I know I gotta figure shit out, but I think it's natural to want that companionship some days. Are you good at hiding your feelings? Well, I guess it depends on the emotion, but honestly, I don't think so, in most cases. Who did you last share a bed with? Sara. Have you ever been taken to the emergency room in an ambulance? Not in an ambulance, no. What are you listening to right now? An '80s-ish/synthwave cover of "Disturbia" by Rihanna. I've been on a total binge of this kinda stuff lately. Ever been on a golf cart? Ye. Do you have trust issues? Yep. Do you own something from Hot Topic? I think most of my shirts are from there. Have you ever slapped someone in the face? No. Do you have a little sister? Damn, not so little anymore. Turned 22 a few days ago. Have you ever been to New York? The state, yes. City, no. Do you actually read privacy policies when signing up for new things? Nope. Did you have a lot of birthday parties when you were younger? If so, did you invite everyone in the class? I mean, define "a lot?" I did once every year... and no. I was selective. Have you ever participated in one of those “guess how many jelly beans, mints, etc. are in this jar!” contest? If so, have you ever won? PTSD is fuckin weird. I have, and I get anxious and uncomfortable just seeing them. The very last time I hung out w/ Jason was at his brother's wife's baby shower, and something like that was there. Shitty fuckin day. Can you juggle? No. Do you live on an avenue, road, drive or something else? Road. What are your school colors? N/A Have you ever taken a picture with Santa when you were little? Yeah, I think my sisters and I did that every year? What is the population of the city you live in? Google says around 5.5k. Do you like Nerds candy? Yeah man. What’s your favourite flavour of soda, pop or whatever else you call it? Blue raspberry. What level of brightness do you usually keep your phone at? It's on about 70% during the day, and I lower it to about 20% when I'm about to go to bed. Have you ever attended a religious or private school? My previous school was a private & religious college. Do you have any pets and are they cuddly? My cat is STUPID cuddly. Absolute attention hog. My snake seems to enjoy attention, though I wouldn't define snakes as "cuddly;" their brains don't know what affection really is, which I think is mandatory in that definition. She does love to lie against me on the bed, though, when I take her out to let her wander. What’s the worst job you’ve ever had? All three of my jobs have sucked, but considering I lasted in a deli not even two hours, probs that. How many cars does your household own? One. Are there any cracks or scuffs on your phone? No. This shit is literally a Tracphone yet is incredible man, I've dropped it a good few times and it's a great phone. What’s your favourite meat? Out of most forms, probably pork, which I really wish wasn't true. I adore pigs. Or maybe chicken. Which I still feel bad about. Do you need glasses to read or drive or need them all the time? I always need them. Is the internet fast where you live? It's fine. What is your favourite meal of the day and why? Breakfast has the best options and makes me look forward to the morning lmao. Do you like long surveys or short surveys better? Ha ha, obviously long, seeing as I compile shorts ones into these larger ones. I do it because I feel individually posting with EVERY one I pick out would get annoying. Have you ever been to a cocktail bar? No. What’s the best amusement park you’ve ever visited? Disney World. Do you keep the cabinets in your kitchen and bathroom organized? More so in the kitchen. Have you ever had a romantic fling? No. Are you a very forgetful person? To a frightening point. Are your parents married or divorced? They're divorced. Do you believe in Heaven? Not the Christian one, but I do lean towards there being some peaceful existence after death. Worn guy's pants and unisex or men's shirts before, I'm sure. Ever been involved with the police? No. What's your favorite shampoo/conditioner and soap? Idk, I'm just very used to Suave. Their body wash smells amazing. Do you feel that you've had a truly successful life? HELL NO. Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it? Twirl it. Favorite restaurant? Olive Garden is GOOD SHIT. Have you watched Tiger King yet? Christ, no, and I sure am tired of seeing it everywhere online. Do you try to do something significant and meaningful every day? It's quite clear I don't, even though I really, really want to. What is your favorite pizza topping? Pepperoni. What was the name of the first pet that you loved? Chance. At. All. Do you like crackers with your soup? No. Which ex of yours means the most to you? Depending on which way you mean, Jason or Sara. What is something that never fails to make you feel accomplished? Do a decent amount of cleaning. How do you feel about nudity, in person? Uh???? What exactly do you mean by "in person"???? I guess it depends on who, the situation, and location??? Have you taken prescription medications that didn't belong to you? Pain medicine, yes. Do wooded areas freak you out in the evening or night? I mean, to a reasonable degree, I guess. Obviously being in the wild in the dark is dangerous. Have you ever ridden on the back of a motorcycle? No. Do you iron any of your clothes? i was tagged by @clarz - thank you for this! rules: answer questions given by the person who tagged you, write 11 new questions of your own, tag 11 people.
i’m gonna tag some people today cuz i worked hard on this and it took a long time...whoops. no pressure XD @wellsjahasghost @tylerstitties @runicscribbles @xproskeith @anomalagous @ginevraslovegood @quicklikelight  @westhallen @lozenger8 @prudence-halliwell @malecbellarke
omg i’m sorry i just realized it’s really long. this is what happens when you take 2 days to answer a tag game. feel free to skip my answers and head to the new Qs if you want! or neither! love you <3
1. Do you find it frustrating that although you know how certain things “work” (for instance, how a love interest not calling you back automatically increases your interest), you can’t help but being drawn in? Can you give me an example? (For the record, this principle describes the entirety of my complicated one-sided relationship with one Harry Edward Styles.)
Yeeeeah i feel like most things in my life approach that level of frustration tbh. I have very little self control sometimes. I’m covered in a haze of addiction, and my impulse control/temper lives on a volatile little rickety branch in my brain where there’s always a lightning storm in the distance. Okay so what I mean is (and I’m not sure i really understand the question but I’m trying), I find it extremely frustrating that I am always aware of what the outcome will be and yet I constantly put myself in the position to be frustrated and/or disappointed by it. Did I get it? Like, if we’re talkin about celebrity obsessions, or having a crush on someone (which, yeah, I guess I kinda remember what that’s like irl), I suppose I’ve come to terms with that kind of distant admiration thing being divorced from reality- I mean, it’s been a life long struggle, so it doesn’t really get to me as much anymore. Usually. The “fangirl” in me is very, very young, and I don’t really know her anymore. If I’m talking about fighting my impulses or my mental health, or like, leaving earlier so I’m not late and then angry in traffic.... that’s a bit more frustrating. I will never leave early. Why? I don’t fucking know. And it’s the Worst. Idk if that fits with your question but yeah, I know how my behavior affects my mood and I could change it, but I don’t, and I can’t help it.
2. What is the longest book or series of books you’ve ever read? Were you at a loss when you finished? Do you generally like series or prefer stand-alone books?
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind! I love it so much. Haven’t read it in a long time, but that shit is like over 20 books and he’s still writing.. a legend. I was at a loss several times at the end of certain books that I thought were really gonna be the End, but then he made some like, spin off series a bit. So we’re good. Generally I love a good series, but there are so many stand alone books that I adore so.. I don’t know. Why am I writing so formally? This is tiresome, I’m gonna stop now. Stupid capital letters.
other series i love include everything in the tolkien universe, and of course harry potter, and also the percy jackson books. tolkien is pretty epic, to say the least, and rick riordan is fucking prolific, so hp is like, on the small side in terms of series (tho i did reread the last 2 at least a dozen times, and the audiobooks on many a long drive). also those motherfukcing maze runner books were like... there’s not that many of them, but that one i can definitely say left me at a loss. i’m still not ready to watch the last 2 movies but i hope to one day. for dylan.
3. Ever seen a therapist or gone to a support group? Did it help?
yup. i’ve seen quite a few therapists. i don’t think it’s helped in the long term, and i’m not sure it helped in the short, though there was a time i liked it because i was indulging my self analysis, but that for sure wasn’t helpful. i tried a couple cbt therapists thinking that could be a good way to go, but nothing ever really changed, so it’s hard to tell what’s going wrong- is it the therapy or is it me? idk i just think on the whole it’s got a negative color for me. i still see someone once every few weeks, but it’s a chore. this is really completely against everything i believe about therapy, btw, and i def considered becoming one when i was in university. i do think it’s beneficial, i guess just maybe not to me.
4. What is the longest road trip you’ve ever taken? Did you drive or were you just a passenger? What is your favorite road trip ritual, if you have any (the particular gas station snacks, the car games, the fights over music choices, the rest stops, etc.)?
oh my, well i’ve been on a few road trips in my life, but probably not as many as you americans do. the longest one was probably as a child, when i was about 3 or 4 my parents took us across the states, to the grand canyon (i don’t think we actually got there) in our mustard yellow vw bus. i had to be too small to remember but i definitely do (my dad’s a photographer so the boxes upon boxes of film helps): - sleeping on the ceiling in the bus like on a fucking shelf that stuck out above the driver seats. it was way too cool. - staying in a trailer park and walking over to this little building where there was some scary movie playing that had spinning wheels on fire (i think it was like some 80s horror version of rumpelstiltskin or something). i can literally picture a scene from it, just can’t really describe it. traumatizing. - playing on a beach somewhere (cape cod?) and having something nip at my little toes.
on other trips with friends we’ve shared the driving, but the most recent one from LA to vegas my friend wouldn’t let me touch the rental wheel. he thinks i’m a terrible driver. it was ok tho i got to take pictures instead.
i don’t really have a fave ritual since i don’t do much road “tripping” per se, but since i’ve lived in both toronto and new york i have done a shit ton of driving long distance, and i absolutely love it. my fave thing to do is make sure i have enough show tunes and stand up comedy on the playlist, and even some cds on back up, so i can lose my voice on the drive. usually i have some good ol’ tim horton’s french vanilla and a croissant on the side to keep me going, and if it’s long enough i usually stop somewhere for some french fries and/or a coke to wake up. god i love driving.
5. Which do you find increases more rapidly, your age or your idea of what age is old?
ugh. my age. i don’t feel old but that stupid time nonsense says otherwise. it needs to stop.
6. Do you talk to your animals when no one else is in the room? What do you say to them? Do you talk to animals you see on the street, at zoos, in your yard? How much of a face does an animal have to have to be talk-to-able? (For example, do rodents count? Birds? Fish? Cockroaches? WHERE’S THE LINE)
absolutely. i talk to pretty much fucking everything, animals or otherwise, i don’t care who’s in the room. there is no line. the line does not exist.
7. If they cooked, which dish of your mom’s/dad’s/parental figure is or was your favorite? Which was your least favorite? Do you often cook dishes your parents used to make for you for yourself now, as an adult?
welllllll my parents do cook, but over the years i came to really dislike a lot of my mom’s cooking.. habits, lets say. my dad is great on the bbq, and with all meats, but my mom is usually the organizer and most often the chef. her staples are chicken and brisket, sometimes salmon, in various ways. the problem is i’ve always been a picky eater, and tho my own tastes have branched out, my mom still thinks she needs to cook everything super plain and sometimes it’s kinda gross. like, she’ll make some fancy chicken for everyone else and throw a boneless breast covered in teriyaki sauce in a casserole in the oven for me. it does NOT taste good. but she can make a really great schnitzel, and brisket is hard to do wrong. i don’t make anything for myself the way she does it really, but my eating/cooking habits are all wonky anyway.
8. Do you ever check your voicemail? Do you answer calls from numbers you don’t have programmed into your phone?
i check it if someone left a message, why wouldn’t you? what if it’s an emergency? in fact, my best friend does not. so i guess.. that’s a thing. i for sure do not answer any call that doesn’t show a name that i recognize- even then it’s a stretch. i have to really want/need to talk to you, otherwise it’s gonna be on my terms. my phone and i have a hate-hate relationship.
9. How often do you go to the grocery store? Are you good at it? Do you have any kind of strategy or list prepared beforehand?
i go when i run out of something i wanna eat; my store is right on the corner. i basically just do the curve around the breads/fruits/veggies if i need it, then head to the aisles which i skim from the back where the frozen/refrigerated stuff is, poking in to the aisles i need to grab the shit i’ve run out of. i eat pretty much the same way most of the time so my list is in my head (which is not always a good place, but i try hard. if i forget something i go back for it next time).
10. Do movies frequently make you cry? Do you find you’re more likely to cry in the theater or at home? When people are around or by yourself?
oh hell yes. if they’re good or i’m in a mood. i don’t think it matters much where i am if it’s public or private, the cry will come if the moment is right, and i could give no shits XD
11. Have you ever seen the sun rise? Did you kind of like the weird, slightly chilly liminal space of it, or did you just wish you were still in bed?
yes i have, in so many different contexts. mostly i watch it rise because i stay up That Late most of the time (except this time of year, i haven’t seen it in a good while), wishing my ass was finally in bed going “fuck. there’s the sun again. way to go me.” but i’ve also experienced that first bit. out in the desert after a 16k hike, sweat pouring off my skin and fire burning on the surface, hissing it away. standing on top of an ancient mountain facing the dead sea, limbs aching from climbing it with the sun racing at our backs, trying to get to the top before we missed it rise. ya. sunsets are pretty, too.
so how am i supposed to think of 11 questions?? i hope none of these are from some post i saw one time, i’m gonna try to be original without rambling too much:
1- if you could go back to one major decision you made that impacted the path of your life and change it, would you? what was it? how do you think your life would be different? or don’t answer those second two questions, if you don’t want to.
2- in what direction does your belief lean (like, you don’t have to agree with my description of it, but what fits your image best):
a single/multiple divine power that controls every facet of our existence (or like, any traditional religious worldview), with or without free will?
a harmonious interconnected universal complex that directs matter and energy but is affected by our existence in said universe?
everything is just a series of random events passing through time and everything that happens, everything we do, makes the next thing happen, but it could have happened any other way as well.
do these things make sense? idk try and figure it out.
3- on that topic, what do you think happens when we die? do we go to heaven/hell or some other religious construct? do we have a soul that sticks around? reincarnation? do we just... end, and decompose, and that’s it? what do you really think? are you afraid to find out you were wrong?
4- tell me about a moment in a movie or a show that made you go all tingly inside, like, that really special tingle, and every time you see it you get those feelings again.
5- what’s your go-to method for letting out stress?
6- what are 3 of your favorite words (english or otherwise)? why do you love them? the way they sound? the way they look? what they mean? (i usually would answer this based on sound, kinda like fave color, just a feeling).
7- this isn’t so original but i wanna know- if you could live in any other period of time, in any part of the world, what would it be and why? or would you even? would you if you could choose your station/place in society?
8- is there anything you’ve ever done or ever happened to you that you absolutely never ever could ever tell anyone about? not even your soulmate or someone who would never judge you? if so, does it bother you, or do you have it tucked away in your mind and never think about it?
9- which teen wolf cast member would you get along with best? not who would you like to be in a relationship with, but who do you think you’d have the best relationship with (romantic/platonic/otherwise)? if you don’t think you know any of them well enough... which one would you bone? boooooooooone all night long?
10- do you have a talent/skill that you feel is really underrated or underused by you or others? is there something you’re really proud of but have nobody to brag to about it because nobody you know really cares at all? brag to me.
11- do you think it’s truly possible to be happy if you never have a significant other(s) for the rest of your life? could you ever be?
THAT’S ALL FOLKS. wow i can’t believe i wrote all of that shit and you read it. way to go us. thanks again, clara!

For you [Songfic]
Hello there,
Anyone who knows me in real life knows just how obsessed I am with a certain book series. The last movie from that series is coming out in about a week and a half, and I have been head-over-heels in love with their main soundtrack song. Please do not judge my love for this series, (lol). It’s a beautiful love story that you could only experience through reading the books - so keep an open mind and give it a try, just be aware that it is for audiences considered “mature” :)
ANYWAYS, I just had to write this. The lyrics to this song were too beautiful to ignore. I won’t reveal exactly who it is about, you’ll find out in the end. However, for those of you who have been reading my work since forever, you’d probably guess as to who it is after the first few paragraphs (don’t look at the tags and cheat). The only hint I’ll give is the fact that he was the first (and only) person that came to mind when I received the inspiration to write this. So I really do hope you enjoy this one, I sure as hell did writing it.
Listen:
For you - Rita Ora ft. Liam Payne
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQUuqbzQVsY&feature=youtu.be
Daily reminder that I love you guys. Enjoy.
xo,
Nas
In your eyes, I’m alive
Inside you’re beautiful
Something so unusual
In your eyes, I know I’m home
He fastened his cufflinks and cleared his throat, signalling his best man to assist him in putting on his tux. He took one last look at the mirror and smiled, he had to admit that the wedding look fits him perfectly. He turned around and accepted the handshake that awaited him.
“I can’t believe it’s really happening.”
He smiled, “Who would’ve thought that I’d beat you to it, huh?”
Woohyun let out a soft smile, “I’m sure I’ll catch up soon. Oh, don’t forget to read over your vows one last time.”
Every tear, every fear
Gone with the thought of you
Changing what I thought I knew
I’ll be yours, for a thousand lives
He nodded and pursed his lips as he sat down and pulled out the piece of paper he had neatly placed in his suit pocket. He did a quick read of it, it needed something more. Knowing you had a way with words, he wanted to make sure that his vows showed just how much he loved you. In all honesty, he just wanted to beat you for the first time in his life when it came to writing.
Pinching his nose, he thought of what he could add. I’d die a thousand deaths for you? Too cheesy. I don’t think I could ever live without you? You probably had something similar to that.
As he brainstormed, he suddenly remembered something you had said to him on your first date. A grin spread across his face as he quickly grabbed a pen.
I’m free as a bird when I’m flying in your cage
I’m diving in deep and I’m riding with no brakes
And I’m bleeding in love, you’re swimming in my veins
You got me now
“Back then, you told me that this relationship was a first for the both of us and that we had no idea what was to come. But you also told me that it made your heart flutter with excitement because you knew that you’d always have someone to share everything with. I want you to remember that for the rest of your life because you’ll always have me.”
With that, he put the pen down.
Been waiting for a lifetime for you
Been breaking for a lifetime for you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
The door opened and Sungjong walked into the room, “Hyung, it’s time.”
“Is she ready?”
“She’s perfect,” he clapped his hands in awe, “You are so lucky, I hope you know that.”
He let out a chuckle, “You do know that one of these days I might actually kill you?”
From the couch across the room, Sungyeol called out, “You’ve been saying that since the first time we met. I think if you really did want to kill him, you’d have done it by now.” He rolled his eyes and stood up, “So, should we get this wedding on the road?”
He nodded once more and fastened his buttons. One by one, the members stood up and gathered around him. No words were needed as the seven boys put their hands in and cheered for one last time before one of them would no longer be an “I”, he was to become a “we”.
Skin to skin, breathe me in
Feeling your kiss on me
Lips are made of ecstasy
I’ll be yours, for a thousand nights
The boys made their way out of the suite in a line, with him going last. The groom’s wedding planner barked out instructions to everyone who surrounded them. He couldn’t help but laugh. Of course, his bride had to choose the most focused and structured, military-type person to help them plan the wedding.
He had to give it to you though, everything was spectacular. Even the rehearsal dinner last night had been beyond his expectations. The number one thing that concerned him was the menu, because the two of you had to cater to a variety of backgrounds. He had always been a picky eater, but somehow you had ensured that he would not have a problem with dinner last night.
That was one of the things that made him decide to marry you. Despite the fact that your life might be a complete mess, you somehow always, always, wanted to make him happy. You were too selfless for your own good, constantly placing his needs first. He had to tell you time after time to put yourself first every once in a while. You’d always reply with, “Seeing you happy is putting myself and my needs first.”
He must’ve done something good in his previous life to have received you as his bride.
I’m free as a bird when I’m flying in your cage
I’m diving in deep and I’m riding with no brakes
And I’m bleeding in love, you’re swimming in my veins
You got me now
“Son,” He recognized his father’s voice as he turned and returned the hug he was offered.
“Your mother and I want you to know just how proud we are of you. You deserve every inch of happiness in this world.”
As the two men pulled away, he quickly gave his mother a kiss on the cheek. Before he knew it, the two were off down the aisle, and it was almost his turn to walk down.
He was nervous. He could feel his heart thumping out of his ears. He had no idea how men could even think of getting married two, three times when once was already too much pressure. But then again, those men were not waiting to marry you.
Been waiting for a lifetime for you
Been breaking for a lifetime for you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Before he knew it, his members were starting to make their way down the aisle. He felt a panic arise and tapped Myungsoo on his shoulder.
“Am I making the right decision?”
Myungsoo raised an eyebrow, “You’re going to have to give me more than that.”
“Am I really doing the right thing, I mean, making her marry me? She deserves so much more than someone like me. I can’t help but wonder if she’ll look back in ten years in regret and remorse and-”
“Okay,” his member sighed, “we’ve been over this. First of all, you’re not making her do anything she hasn’t consented to. If she didn’t want to marry you, she would’ve said no when you proposed.”
He nodded furiously in an attempt to calm himself.
“And hyung honestly, there’s no guarantee that the next ten, twenty, hundred years will be filled with happiness for the both of you. But here’s the thing, in the time you have spent together, you’ve learnt that through the good and the bad, you needed each other. And that’s exactly why you’re perfect for her, and vice versa. Trust me when I say she won’t look back with regret. She’d go to hell and back for you, this day is the best day of her life.”
Myungsoo was slightly surprised when he got pulled in for a hug. But he knew that his words were needed for reassurance, and he was glad he could offer it. As much as he loved the man he considered his brother, he still needed to be reminded every once in a while that he was terribly loved by the people who surrounded him.
“I owe you, now go!”
And with that, Myungsoo made his way down the aisle.
It was his turn soon after, as he heard the host call his name out. He made sure to do breathing exercises prior to the door opening. Off down the aisle, he went. He took a quick look around the room and saw the people he valued most in life. In all his life, he never felt happiness like this.
I’m free as a bird when I’m flying in your cage
I’m diving in deep and I’m riding with no brakes
And I’m bleeding in love, you’re swimming in my veins
You got me now
The lights dimmed as the orchestra cooed the bridal march. He stiffened as the double doors where he stood a moment ago reopened. A spotlight made its way towards the most beautiful sight he had seen on the face of his planet.
Dressed in white from head to toe, with a bouquet made completely out of lilies, you made your way down the aisle. Your hand tightly wrapped around your father’s as you smiled at the guests who surrounded the room. Your eyes met your future husband’s as you approached him.
He couldn’t describe what he was feeling in words. All that doubt he had, all the fear was gone in a split second. The only thing going through his mind was the fact that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with you. He wanted to make sure that everyone knew you were his. He was going to marry you every day for the rest of his life just to remind you how much you meant to him.
“Who gives this woman to be married to this man?”
Your father wiped away a tear from his face as he placed a kiss on the back of your palm, “I do.”
Been waiting for a lifetime for you
Been breaking for a lifetime for you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Your hand was placed in his, and butterflies filled your stomach. No matter how long it had been, he always had that effect on you. He leaned in towards your ear.
“You’re so beautiful.”
Letting out a soft smile, you squeezed his hand and winked at him, “You’re not so bad yourself.”
The two of you approached the altar and faced each other. After a while, the time came for the vows. You cleared your throat and looked the man you were going to spend the rest of your life with in the eyes.
“Our entire relationship was an adventure. A crazy adventure that I have only ever read about in books. Before I met you, I had no idea what it was like to be truly loved by someone, and what loving someone truly meant. You brought light into my life at a time when I needed it the most.”
You laughed, choking back tears, “I never thought I’d ever be standing here, but here I am. And I want you to know just how excited I am to enter into the next chapter of our lives together. If the past few years taught me anything, it’s that the rest of my life with you will be exciting, captivating, invigorating and perfect. I wouldn’t choose anyone else, it will always be you.”
The tears were now freefalling down your cheeks, and he wasn’t faring any better. Like he previously said, you definitely had a way with words. Taking a huge breath, he recited word by word what he had written for you back in the hotel suite. As he was nearing his close, he placed a hand on your cheek.
“I’ll be there to wipe all your tears, to join you in laughter and to shut up when silence is needed.”
The entire room lit up with laughter.
“Although I’m far from perfect, I promise to try and get as close to it as possible, because you’re perfect. Every inch of you is perfect, and I am eternally grateful that God is giving me the chance to call you my wife.”
Been waiting for a lifetime for you
Been breaking for a lifetime for you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
Wasn’t looking for love ‘til I found you
He placed a subtle kiss on the top of your head, “I, Kim Sungkyu, vow to love you every day, forever.”
Been waiting for a lifetime for you.

What's the most relaxing thing you did today? Motherfucking SLEEP. I slept from 10-11 AM and 2-3 PM today and it was the most glorious feeling. Those have been the only naps I’ve been able to sneak in all week. Do you shop at the grocery store closest to your house? Yes, we do. We have two stores that are in different locations but are the same distance from the house anyway, so my mom switches between the two of them.  Which one of your guy friends is the best looking? Uh I guess Jez. I never answer questions like this since my circle knows me to be pretty gay, but I’d pick him. What does your car smell like? Still smells quite new. Who could make you feel better right now? Miraculously I don’t need to be feeling better at the moment. Maybe because I’m answering this on a new laptop and this is the only thing I need? Hahaha idk.
Which three people (who don't have a Myspace) would be in your top friends? LOL. Don’t care for this question but funny/sad story: I was having dinner with Gabie’s family last night and we started talking about the old internet. Apparently her 12 year old sister doesn’t recognize Myspace, Multiply, Yahoo Messenger, and Friendster anymore. Times are a-changing, people. Gab and I were horrified. Have you had an epiphany lately? Nah. What color shoes are you wearing? I’m barefoot when inside the house. Which one of your friends is the most brutally honest? I think Kaira beats me when it comes to being blunt. Miracle Whip or Mayo? Whipped cream is expensive where I live and unnecessary, so I never have it. I put mayonnaise on everything. Who/What influences your taste in music the most? My friends mostly. I let them have control over my car’s bluetooth and then I always find myself listening to what they played after the ride. Do you have anything to say to your ex bf/gf? No ex. What's your favorite kind of foreign food? I like anything Indian, anything street food, anything sushi. I’m not a picky eater and WILL try everything once. Except for fruit. In what year will/did you turn 21? 2019. Who was the last person you gave a birthday present to? Gabie I think. I’m not a big gift person though, and instead I drove her out and treated her to lunch. What do you think of the person who took this survey last? I took this survey from the original poster so heh. Which one of your friends do you look most like? ??? I have no idea, we’ve never compared each other physically. Puedes hablar español bueno? No I can’t, actually. I understand very basic Spanish, and a lot of random words are recognized because we also use them in Filipino. That knowledge isn’t enough for me to be able to carry conversations, but I can sometimes understand phrases. Which day of the week do you watch the most TV? I literally only watch TV when we happen to be at a hotel, which happens like every four months. What's your favorite vegetable? Broccoli. Which one of your senses would you not mind losing? Losing any of them would be terrible. Which band do you have the most of on your iPod/music player? I don’t iPod anymore, but I listen to Paramore on Spotify a lot. Which song describes your mood at the moment? Meh, none. There are songs I feel like listening to but no song can match my mood right now. Which movie(s) do you quote the most? None. What's the closest pink object to you? My top. Do you really weigh the weight on your driver's license? I don’t. Do people??? What's your favorite non-carbonated, non-alcoholic beverage? Water. What's the most epic thing you've done so far this month? I MET GABIE’S DAD LAST NIGHT. It went REALLY well and I cannot be any happier now. Obviously it happened much sooner than we expected, coming out and all, but being accepted and immediately given a thumbs up by the only man my girlfriend has ever really loved is my biggest reward. Which one of your best friend's friends would you most likely date? Gabie. Which word do you have the hardest time spelling? I can’t think of any, but I used to struggle with rhythm. Big Mac or Whopper? Baconator. Have you ever been to an 'Adult Gift' store? Nope. What's your favorite vacation spot? I love Baguio as an ideal vacation spot, but my parents have never seen the big deal with it and I’ve only been there thrice :( What color underwear are you wearing? Green. Have you ever slapped anybody? My siblings when we were little kids, but never as like a full grown person. What's your second favorite sport? Table tennis. Wrestling comes first. What are you listening to right now? Just my electric fan on level 3, no music. Where will you be in six hours? Asleep in bed probably. What do you wish you had more time to do? I do have enough time to do all the things I need for myself, but my anxiety comes in and makes sure I hesitate from starting them. Like going out with friends - I could very well do it whenever I want, but I never want to be the one asking them out first. Going out after school and giving myself alone time - I would do it since I get out of school at 11 AM - but I can’t handle being alone. So there is that. Who was the last person to ride in your passenger's seat? Gabie, when I drove her home last night. Would you ever let anybody else drive your car? No. Gabie only if it’s really necessary, but she’s hit her car several times and my trust in her driving isn’t as through the roof these days lol. Which one of your friends will be the most successful? All of them. How old will you be on your next birthday? I’ll be 20 and I am so excited to finally get out of this decade. What store did you last shop at? Filbar’s. It’s a local store that has Funkos, limited edition comic book/TV show merch, novelty items, just about all the graphic novels and comic books you need, action figures, swords, replicas, etc. What is your absolute favorite band? It will always be an absolute tie between Paramore and Against Me!

Lady Boss Loot Review - May 2017
Hello Everyone!
Welcome to my very FIRST subscription box review! I’m proud to feature and talk about Lady Boss Loot, which is a subscription box for female entrepreneurs. As you probably guessed, this box suits me since I’m a lady and an entrepreneur twice over. Lady Boss Loot had a great deal for their most recent box, and I couldn’t resist!
Tumblr media
I would like to give a little disclaimer that I live in the country so if the box looks dusty, that’s why. I did my best to clean it off! Anyways, I opened it up and saw...
Tumblr media
Of course, I was immediately drawn to the coffee mug, which I’d had my eye on ever since I saw a sneak peek of it on Lady Boss Loot’s Facebook page.
Tumblr media
The mug came with some tea, which is about to be gone as I wait for my microwave to finish heating it up! The flavor is pomegranate raspberry green tea - YUM! I have to admit, the color of the tea packet really complements this BEAUTIFUL teal mug that is my new favorite!
Tumblr media
Next, I zeroed in on the snack provided in my box. When signing up to receive this awesome package, I had the option to select a snack, which I of course selected because who doesn’t want a snack?!? I was interested to see what it would be, and a little nervous because I’m a SUPER PICKY eater. Thankfully, Lady Boss Loot KILLED IT with this snack because I LOVE chocolate! Plus, it comes in a nice 120 calorie pack which is great, because I’ve been really watching what I eat.
Tumblr media
Being a huge reader and book nerd, I immediately dove for the book next. I’m really excited to read it, and the best part is that after I’m done reading it, it will look AWESOME on my coffee table. It’s an interesting book as it has a mix of text and photos, which I wasn’t expecting. But it certainly makes reading more fun, which from a marketing perspective is great as it will appeal to readers and non-readers alike.
Tumblr media
I then noticed a beautiful little cardboard envelope with some dandelion art on it. Inside I found a very intricate bookmark that I immediately fell in love with! It’s gorgeous, and I will TOTALLY use it to read the book provided. Plus, I love the envelope so much that it is going on a decorative and inspirational bulletin board I keep! (No worries, I know that I’m a total nerd!)
Tumblr media
Speaking of being a nerd, some of you may be interested to know that besides having a degree in marketing, I also have a degree in ecology (think plants). So anything with plants I fall in love with immediately. That means that the hand crafted soap in this box caught my eye when I realized that I can take off the paper wrapper around the soap and plant it!!! I’m going to plant it ASAP, and I will keep you updated as to how it goes. The soap from Bare-Soaps itself has a very gentle smell, which I like - plus it made the inside of my box smell heavenly. I will admit that I’m not usually the person to purchase handmade soaps, but I’m going to use this and see if it converts me! Also, because I’m the kind of person who never throws anything away, I’m going to keep and use the nice little drawstring bag that the soap came in.
Tumblr media
Plus, a little card was included in the box about how the purchase of this soap is helping the world; proceeds from the purchase of the soap help fund the raising of goats in Africa to provide families with a sustainable food and income source, and the proceeds also help fund Children’s Hopechest to help children with health related items such as vitamins as well as helping children out of poverty. On the other side of the card are some instructions on how best to use and store your soap, which I definitely appreciate since I’ve never used hand crafted soap at home before.
Tumblr media
This next item intrigued me and then warmed my heart after I realized its significance. Inside another small, drawstring pouch (which yes, I will also be keeping and using!) was a simple metal bangle with a number and some initials. Pulling out the card that came with it, I discovered that the bangle was handmade by survivors of human trafficking, and that I could use the information on the band to visit voices.brandedcollective.com to see about the woman who made the bracelet. Wow. That’s some powerful stuff right there. If you want to read about the woman who made my particular bracelet, click here and search for KL. I absolutely love the message this bracelet sends, and I actually plan to display it and the informational card that came with it in my office in a nice little display box where visitors can see it and ask me about it.
Tumblr media
Next, there was included a card with a discount and some samples of Aloe & Jojoba infused lotion from NW Beauty Works. The lotion isn’t scented, so it just smells a lot like aloe - although I will admit that I’ve never smelled jojoba so I can’t help in that area. While I like the smell of aloe because it’s a very clean smell, my cats immediately ran away from me when I tried this lotion. Even if my cats aren’t crazy about this lotion sample, I am! I have quite a few small cuts on my hands from farm work which I didn’t think about when first applying this lotion. Thankfully, this lotion was very kind and friendly to my cuts - it didn’t sting one bit! I’m not a big lotion user, but this stuff definitely interested me enough that I’m going to go check out NW Beauty Works’s website after I’m done typing up this review!
Tumblr media
Finally, inside this wonderful box was a little booklet with information about the products in the box, business tips, and a recipe for a mojito! I really liked this booklet as it was colorful, and it described what each item was for - I’ve worked with and seen other boxes that don’t have this, and sometimes it can get confusing understanding items. So this was great!
Tumblr media
All in all, I really liked my Lady Boss Loot box! My favorite item is definitely the coffee mug - I love the color, and the fact that it says Lady Boss. Now, it’s time to let my inner marketer give a few recommendations!
I mentioned in a past post that I too work in the subscription industry, and I know one thing that is debated between brands is the use of shredded paper in boxes. This helps to protect items during shipping, and it makes the boxes look full. However, as someone who owns various animals (think cats), shredded paper isn’t the best. My cats were definitely all over this box as I opened it, trying to run off with the paper shreds. As I said, though, this is a debatable topic, and this is just my side of the story.
My next recommendation would be to include a few more tea packets with the coffee mug. I drink tea like I breathe air, so one packet hasn’t lasted me very long. Plus, adding a few more will help add volume to your box. Now, I know that not everyone is a big tea drinker, but everyone knows SOMEONE in their lives that loves tea so if they don’t want the tea bags at all they can pass them onto someone else (and recommend Lady Boss Loot in the process). I also know that the tea packet was included to go with the mug, but in case you provide future packets this recommendation might help.
With the tea packet, I would suggest tying in the recipe of the month with whatever food or beverage item is provided inside the box. While the mojito recipe is great, it would be cool if there had been a drink recipe using the tea mix or maybe some snack mix recipe using the brownie brittle.
Speaking of brownie brittle, I was super excited to see on the back of the package that the brownie brittle supported Cookies for Kids’ Cancer. If you know me personally, I’m a big advocate for more funding for childhood cancer. I’m super happy this specific brownie brittle made it into the box, but I wish that in the little booklet that explains the items for the box that this tidbit was included. I won’t get on my soapbox about pediatric cancer, but the more awareness we can raise for it the more we can help kids.
Other than that, I LOVED this box! Everything went far beyond my expectations. Again, my little tidbits above are just my opinion, and I understand that others will feel differently. I just wanted to give some insight on the consumer side, from a marketer, about pieces in the box. Sometimes it can be hard to get feedback from customers, so this is just mine. Either way, I LOVED this box and I am very happy with it - and I know that you will be too! I look forward to what Lady Boss Loot has to offer in the future.
If you’re interested in the Lady Boss Loot Box, check out their Facebook page, Twitter page, YouTube page, and Instagram page.
