I both really love and really hate DA: Veilguards new combat system.

Though I certainly ENJOY the quick real-time comboing, dodging, briefly commanding companions (haha orb and dagger go brrr) it certainly is different from how I played the last game and its slower paced combats.

The saddest part is I don't have THREE companions talking at all times. I miss the group interactions- and the shenanigans.

#i also miss barrier spamming (whenever i die to a boss)#cuz in DA:I i rotated barrier cooldowns between solas and lavellan #and god i miss my tanks actually TANKING for more than 3 seconds #companions teleporting to where they need to be to execute commands IS nice #like sending davrin to taunt the guy right in my face when he WAS across the field #but its also slightly lazy tactically that i dont have to account for him walking over #like i know thats objectively HARDER and i've fucked myself over doing that in other games but its also satisfying done right yaknow?#again NOT saying the combat is bad. its very good!!!#anyways im gonna go rub that bald egg head. gonna have to ignore this final Regret till im higher level than -checks- 35 #and that Dragon by god... seeing that red number... not Good...#dragon age veilguard #da:v #da: veilguard
