I’ve been holding off on making this post because I wanted to try it out myself and get settled in and make sure everything went okay, but seeing as I’ve gone ahead and updated my site and everything I thought now might be a good time to start talking about this publicly! 

If you’ve known me for more than five minutes you know I fucking hate Webtoon, like, a lot. Every aspect of it disgusts me to the core of my being, and while Webtoon is the ugliest version of them the aspects that I hate also extend to basically any comic aggregate site. I hate that they treat artists like content robots, I hate that they treat comic readers like morons who aren’t capable of engaging with complex stories, I hate that they actively try to strip away all the cool parts of indie comics by cultivating sterile and impersonal environments that discourage artistic experimentation and unique expression.

So! I hope you’ll be interested in what I have to say about this new platform that’s (hopefully) going to be out of alpha this summer. If you think you like reading comics on Webtoon, I really encourage you to check out Dillyhub once it launches. That’s the short version, but I have a LOT to say about this! So I’m putting the rest of this under a cut.

Full disclosure, I’m not getting paid or anything for this. The creative outreach at Dillyhub contacted me a few weeks ago asking if I’d be interested in having Kidd Commander be one of their launch titles when they go live this summer. I was hesitant at first, since I actively distrust anything claiming to be For Creators at this point, but they answered my pushy questions patiently and everything seemed on the up and up so I gave it a shot; I’ve been needing a mobile mirror for KC anyway. Eventually they invited me to the alpha creator discord, where they’ve been working directly with all of us artists to improve the platform, and now to be honest I’m REALLY excited for this thing to get off the ground. Nobody asked me to make this post, but since I’ve spent years whining and bitching about how other services do wrong by their creators, I thought I’d talk about this one that’s doing things right.

So, the biggest advantage this site has for creators over others in my opinion is that it. Treats us like individuals, regardless of follower count lmfao. If you’re a new person just starting out with your new webcomic, here’s what webtoon does for you:

Note: you don’t get a custom banner, you don’t even get to choose the solid color it is. That big circle icon is ALSO the image that shows up in searches, but everywhere else on the site it’s a 100x100px square, so you have to choose whether you want it to look good as a giant circle at the top of your comic’s page OR whether you want to look good in search results. Which, by the way, is the ONLY way for people to find you if you’re not partnered. And that’s it! You have no monetization options, you won’t show up on the genre pages, and when someone DOES stumble across your page it looks super unprofessional. Good Luck! 

Now here’s my Dillyhub page(s):

You don’t get a static banner and one icon, you get a whole carousel banner with as many images as you want front and center as soon as you get to the project page. You get seven (custom!) genre tags, as opposed to Webtoon’s single tag you have to pick from their list, and plenty of room to talk about your work. The episodes are even laid out better, you get a MUCH bigger preview space to work with and they’re nice and big on the bottom half of the page:

you know, like they’re actually presenting ART lmfao.

That’s already an ENORMOUS improvement, but here’s my favorite thing.

listen, i know this is probably a bit specialized if you’re not a comic maker yourself, but this is a HUGE DEAL. You can post vertically OR page by page! You can even post pages two at a time for double page spreads, or so they read like a physical comic book! AND their specs are really open, as long as the file meets the size requirement you can make it whatever shape you want. You don’t have to reformat all your shit to post here!! I posted the entire first volume of KC STRAIGHT FROM THE PRINT FILES in like half an hour!!! The episodes can also be any amount of pages, you can post a single page or an entire chapter all in one go!

So that’s just the project page for the comic, let’s see what happens when I click on my username there.

Each author gets their own unique page (which you can tack a vanity url to!) to present themselves however they want! You always have the banner at the top, but beyond that you have a ton of options. Among other incredibly useful tools that really should just be bare fucking minimum at this point, like the ability to preview your page on different devices, you start customizing your blank page with this set of widgets,

and from THERE you can customize them MORE, you can promote your patreon or your kickstarter or whatever! Having this creator space ALSO means that if you run several comics, or if you want to promote your comic AND your illustrations, you can just separate them into individual projects! Each with their own page! This is also really nice as a reader because you can subscribe to a creator but you can also just subscribe to specific projects, if you don’t want to get ALL of their stuff in your inbox. It’s so good y’all hh.

Once again, all of this functionality is just THERE as soon as you make your account. You don’t need to be “partnered” or whatever the fuck, you don’t need to meet a certain follower threshold to unlock the ability to operate normally. You get your own creator space to present yourself how you prefer, you get pages for all your projects, you can even set up monetization options (and change them for individual pages IN a project) right from the start.

ok ok let’s compare this to my webtoon page

oh that’s right webtoon just puts your greyed out name at the bottom of each comic and that’s it because human beings don’t make this stuff, my bad lol anyway

Other fun shit that Dillyhub does that makes me feel like they’re people who have actually consumed or made comics on the internet at some point in their lives:

-When you log into the “studio” space, you’re in your creator account. When you log OUT of the studio space, it’s like you swap to a “reader” account, where you can access your pull list and comment on things with a different name and profile icon. Again, maybe only cool if you’re a creator, but if you ARE then you know exactly why this is incredibly useful lmao

-You can set up “hidden” projects, so if you only want certain things to be accessible by certain people or to not show up in searches that’s an option! You have SO much control here it’s great.

-The comment section has moderation options GODDD. You also have a real comment space, you know, so it actually encourages building a community (and a rapport with your community, if you like), and you also can just turn comments off entirely if you want! I haven’t used it much yet, obviously, but it’s been made very clear in the discord that artists want better control over their comment sections and the devs have it on their priority list.

-Absolutely every step of customization gives you a preview before it’s live, so you can easily see what these images you’re posting in different places are going to look like before you beam them to your followers’ inboxes. This includes individual episodes!

-This was sort of in one of the screenshots but it’s important so I’m saying it here too: the option to mark individual episodes as mature or with content warnings, rather than having to mark an entire comic as Mature Spooky Scary Content because of one or two pages getting a bit hairy.

This site is only in alpha right now, and it’s invite-only until they get to beta (for creators; anyone can make a reader account! but they haven’t set up a way to browse comics without direct links yet so) but honest to god it’s already blowing every other site I’ve used clean out of the water. And the staff has been really kind and responsive to us proposing fixes or changes! I will always defend individual websites as being the best option for an indie comic, but everybody’s gotta start somewhere and we NEED something that isn’t Tumblr or Webtoon to fill this role; this site feels a lot more like a symbiotic relationship than any of the other staples available for new creators right now. If you’re a comic reader and you want to see your favorite comics on Dillyhub I’d suggest keeping an eye on this site and once it’s live start poking them to look into it, and if you’re a creator follow their social media and hop in when they open up for anybody to join. I would LOVE to see this site take off as a viable option for hosting and reading comics.

hey don't you think it's kind of hypocritical that you aren't going to say urls of the people you've actually witnessed being awful to each other from that goodbye post? you never saw any proof with what happened to you before that blew up but you still made that call out post and now you've actually seen writers and nets who have done it but won't say anything? what about the writers who will experience bad things because of this people? you do not care?

i’ve had to realise it’s actually not my job to be the whistleblower. there are so many people here and in the world who are assholes so rather than relying on someone else to say so, please try and be reflective and critical of your interactions with people. if you get a bad vibe off of somebody, there’s probably a reason why.

that being said, i don’t want anyone starting drama because it is exhausting, and it sounds to me more like you just want the gossip, egging me into saying something. i think y’all should all be aware enough of conversations you have with people to know if they’re toxic or not. and if you can’t work it out, that’s a skill you need to learn instead of being handfed names of people to hate.

there are a good few people on this site that have made for an unpleasant environment. for some of them, i’ve just had interactions in which they’ve been super rude, for others i have whole lists of things, but a lot of them are personal (i used to be close with some of them) and i’m not interested in sharing a fuckton of ss and trying to act like a holier than thou martyr.

i personally dislike and distrust these people but it’s PERSONAL. y’all can do whatever you want. i don’t care if you’re friends w them or gush over their writing because that’s your prerogative and i’ve chosen to remove myself from this environment entirely so it’s no skin off my back. but for those of you who have hd interactions with these people that have made you feel less than in some way, just keep in mind you probably aren’t alone in feeling that way.

at the end of the day, some people are just dicks and it’s up to you to cut that out of ur life if it’s making you unhappy. these people aren’t committing crimes or anything, i just think they’ve been pretty nasty to me (keep in mind this isn’t all super recent) so i’m happier just avoiding them and trying not to think about them.

also, what would really change if i gave names? last time i asked people not to send hate and they did anyway, then i got blamed for it as if it was coming from me. last time everyone spent a week or so in outrage, yet now i see those girls on their same urls making stories as usual. life goes on for everyone equally. do you really think me giving names achieves anything except more drama?

This was only ever meant to be a placeholder url! I didn’t expect my blog to gain traction so fast (or at all really, love y’all sm) so I didn’t have a backup ready and now that’s just what I’m known as so I didn’t want to change it! But I think I’m gonna change it pretty soon anyways.

I have two, but they’re not really active yet, ones an overwatch side blog @silverandsoftly and ones a batjokes blog @haha-hacienda ! Any original works that eventually get posted over there will end up on my ao3 though!

To share my writing! My hyperfixation switched and I wanted really bad to write for stranger things, but my other accounts were basically dead and not getting attention anymore, but I really adored the community here from an outsiders perspective, so I just started over and it really paid off!

Before I had picked a picture of Steve that I just saw too many other people so I picked one I hadn’t seen a lot of! It also matched my header so that was a bonus.

It matched my pfp at the time and it was a wide shot so it worked well! Not much thinking behind it really other than they match colors wise.

This ficlet I wrote about Billy coming out to Max! It has 221 notes!

Never! I hate internet conflicts, it makes me so nervous even seeing other people fighting. I answer most hate anons, but I hardly think that counts as a fight, because I have yet to have one leave more asks and try to comeback at me. (I probably just jinxed that though)

Not good. Do y’all remember those comments on like dress up game websites and YouTube years and years ago that you had to share them and write stuff down or just do little tasks so you would be lucky or safe from monsters and stuff? Because I was probably like seven when I started seeing those and those triggered terrible obsessions in my brain for literal years that I needed therapy to get over, so now I just steer clear of anything like that at all for fear of triggering my ocd, even if it’s not spam and it’s the most well intended post.

A Final Goodbye

This blog is turning one year old! And to celebrate it, I will be closing stylessemantics.tumblr.com! So this is my goodbye letter!

If you’re reading this, my blog is officially one year old (is it July 10th already?) Yes future me, it is! And here is why, if you even care. If you don’t then well... I can’t really blame you.

If you don’t want to read all the way to the end: Monday July 10th will be the last day I’ll be around, until exactly 11:59pm. Happy reading!

So stylessemantics is a year old. Wow. Time flies. I would know because if you’re reading this it means I’m stepping off. 

I guess I should start at the beginning?

Stylessemantics was always a one year project to me. Or at least that’s how it started. I thought I could do this to sort of improve my writing skills, to try something new, to meet new people, to do something fun. And it was! I mean I don’t know if my writing got any better, to me it got a lot worse, or maybe that was just my mind getting worse. IDK.

On the road, stylessemantics turned into so much more. I would be away for a day and I’d miss it so much. I wanted to come back. It became a little safe haven where I could be me, or try to be a better version of me, and possibly failed as well, and where I had something interesting going on for once. Now I don’t want this to be a very sad letter but you guys know me, I’m the sour-patch of every party. (maybe that’s why i never get invited to any hmmm)

All jokes aside this year has been a rollercoaster in every sense of the word. (guys we got solo harry can you believe that? I still can’t) At some point I found myself thinking “I could keep stylessemantics, this doesn’t have to be a one year thing, it doesn’t have to be an experiment” and let me tell you those days were pretty much eternal. I was on a high pretty much all the time. I was so in love with tumblr. Don’t take this the wrong way, I still love it to bits and it’s turned into something kind of vital to me. But the good days didn’t last. If they had; you wouldn’t be reading this now. 

So yeah, I thought about saving all my works of fiction and taking the whole blog down and well I didn’t plan well enough to make stylessemantics a sideblog that i could just password protect and secretly keep. So it was final: stylessemantics was going to be deleted. And I was okay with that for the longest time. I never thought I would be so shit at keeping promises that I’d have 15+ requests in my inbox back from 2016, still unwritten. And with an 8 chapter fic still stuck on chapter 6. And with 700 promises to AU’s and things I wanted to write. It’s safe to say those promises were made on the days I thought I would keep stylessemantics. But as of today (sunday, july 9th, 2017) it’s been a bad bad bad day. I’ve been dancing around the delete blog for the longest time but I decided that was a bit unfair.

Now I don’t think I’m anything interesting for anyone to be reading this (if you are, wow, makes me wanna reconsider staying lol) so i know a lot of people are going to like this without even reading what’s going on, but I still thought “hey I’ve made some friends... and only 3 of them know that stylessemantics was probably going to die in July” so it was a bit unfair to just up and leave. So at least there’s a letter, right?

Anyways, I guess there’s no real explanation as to why stylessemantics was a 1 year thing for me, why did i decide that and why my mind wandered between making it a 2 (3,4,5 who knows how many) year thing or not. There’s no explanation really, so I can’t fully give you one, but what I can say is that I’m insanely grateful for the good days this big ol’ blog gave me. And by that I mean you reading this. No matter what, stylessemantics was something important to me, and it changed me even if it was just a bit. So for that I’ll be forever thankful. And I say this a lot but I want you to know I mean it. All the time. 

I don’t deserve it. Call it my depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, self-love issues, whatever one of those I have (aka all) but I feel very undeserving of such a loving community. I never got a single hate comment and to be honest I was scared and tiptoeing around everything too much to get any but oh well, I’m going to act like that’s just y’all being nice to my fragile mind. For my poor mind’s sake lol.

Now I did say that 3 of my friends knew about this thing, and well they all talked me through sad days where I wanted to just erase this blog from existence and helped me get to a final decision. Stylessemantics won’t be deleted. I’m much too attached to little pieces of paper and old photos and whatever to not be extremely attached to this blog and conversations I’ve had in it and stuff like that. And I know myself well enough to know I’ll regret deleting. (i deleted my first instagram 2 weeks into college and I’m still sour about it...) I’ll regret not having at least screenshots of beautiful messages and nice song lyrics that being on tumblr have inspired and other wonderful things. That plus the fact that I’m still not 100% sure if I want to leave stylessemantics for good (can you cound how many times I’ve written stylessemantics? wow I have to stop) or not, well... The decision is that this blog won’t be deleted. It won’t be deactivated. (if i could close it without losing my tumblr url and account that would be grand, but I can’t cause this is a main blog. Iv didn’t think this through back in 2016) 

This blog will still be here. Saved. Untouched. With its open inbox, open submit page and open messenger. With its masterlist still up, and with its pretty rose quartz and serenity blue theme. The only difference is that this is going to be the last post on it. I won’t be here. There will be no one responding. And maybe, one day, I’ll stumble upon something weird that will remind me of this and I’ll think “do I want to continue stylessemantics?” and maybe I’ll come back peeping my little eye emoji.

I want to make a promise that I’ll come and post the reminder of BIM and the Marcel fic and all of those requests I never got to fill. But we’ve been at this for a year. I’m simply the worst person when it comes to writing and keeping my writing promises (i was gonna say I’m the worst at keeping promises in general but even with my below-7th-level-of-hell-self-esteem and lower-than-minus-70-degrees-self-love, I can say I DO keep all my promises, just not the writing ones. whooops.)

Some promises I will keep tho:

I’ll still love every single one of you.

I’ll still be around tumblr on another account (winkwink) so I’m still reading my mutual’s works and supporting my peeps. If you spot me, come say hi, but don’t ask me to write or bring back this blog.

I’ll always be undeserving of every single ounce of love or attention I receive here or on any other blog I move to, for the remainder of my days on this earth.

I will try to better myself and my writing. (and seek professional help for my issues. Finger’s crossed)

A little bit ago, I saw the regular, typical accent challenge circulating tumblr a little bit, and a friend of mine, Kenzi (@tomfooleryholland on tumblr), and I, we talked about it a little bit, and we decided it would be kinda cute if we did it as a little “get to know me” thing, and made it special for the Tom Holland/Spider-Man fandom. And, so, this is what we came up with. Alright, let’s get started!

What do you call your grandparents? Okay, I was the first grandchild, so I got to name them when I first learned how to talk, and I took inspiration from what I called my parents, mommy and daddy. And so, my grandparents on my mother’s side are Mi-Mi and Pappy, and my grandparents on my father’s side are Monie and Pacaw.

The fun stuff!

How long have you been on tumblr? This blog is about two weeks old, I think. And then, I’ve actually been on tumblr on a personal, main blog since I was in middle school, so five or six years..?

What are you usually doing when you aren’t on tumblr? As of late, writing…for tumblr, because I post a ton of writing. When I’m not doing that, since it’s the summer, I’m just hanging out at home a lot usually. I haven’t done very much this summer (whoops). When I’m at uni, I’m usually hanging out with my uni friends, cos, once you get to uni, you’re gonna have a lot of friends that live really far away from you, so it’s really hard to hang out unless you’re at uni, so I’ll usually be hanging out with my uni friends or doing homework and studying for engineering school because it’s…it’s rough.

Any hobbies? Writing, obviously, but I like writing all kinds of things, including poetry. I really like poetry. And then, I like reading a lot. I don’t read as much as I used to, cos I don’t have as much time anymore, but I still consider it a hobby. And then, I really like fancy writing and writing letters and stuff like that. I do a little bit of modern calligraphy. It’s nothing special, but I have a lot of fun doing it, so I do it a lot…So, I consider it a hobby.

When’s my birthday? The eleventh of May.

What’s something you don’t think your followers know about you? Okay, this is something that I use for my professors at uni, because one of the “get to know you” things that they’ll always ask you is “tell me an interesting, unique fact about yourself” and so, this is something that I figure they don’t hear from many kids. Anyway, when I was in fourth grade, so I was, like, ten?ish?, I tripped over a dog leash, and I ended up hitting my head really hard on the pavement, and I ended up having head trauma for about a month, which is not a great time…So, I hope that you never experience that cos your brain has to reprogram itself, and it’s…it’s very strange.

List some of your favorite (not Tom Holland- or Spider-Man-related things). Okay, I really like sweaters, I really like stripes, and I really like plaid and flannel shirts…I have, at the very least, a dozen plaid shirts. I really like boots, specifically Timberlands and Doc Martens. I really like Converse shoes. My favorites are my white optic white high top Converse, which have not been white for months, but that’s beside the point. And then I also really, really like the really soft fleece blankets? I currently own four, and, last weekend, my mom and I went out shopping and I tried to convince her to let me purchase another one (because it may or may not have had Spider-Man on it). She refused to let me because she says I have too many. I disagree.

Coffee or Tea? I prefer tea 100% because I’m very sensitive to tannins, which is what makes coffee bitter. I actually don’t like red wine either because of the same reason.

How many hours of sleep do you usually get? When I’m at uni, I get between six and eight. At home, I’ll either say “fuck it” and just not sleep at all or get, like, two hours of sleep (which is terrible), or I’ll get between six and eight when I know that I’m doing something the next day, or I’ll get, like, more than ten. I’m really bad about sleeping for, like, fourteen hours sometimes.

 Tom Holland Stuff: (begins at 07:12)

When did you first discover Tom Holland? I first discovered Tom Holland when he was in the Civil War trailer that introduced Spider-Man to the MCU, which… Since I was a little kid, like, as long as I can remember, Spider-Man has been my absolute favorite superhero 100%. So, when the trailer came out, and I found out that they were finally introducing Spider-Man to the MCU, I literally flipped shit. I was so ecstatic, oh my goodness! So, then I had to find out who this guy was, right? It’s like, “Okay, who gets to play Spider-Man in the MCU? I have to know!” So, that’s how I discovered him.

My favorite Tom Holland role? Okay, cos I’m fake, I have only seen him in Civil War and in Homecoming because I’m trying to convince myself that it’s worth it to buy them all and binge them all because instead of pirating them I would rather support him because I’m that much of a stan. It’s terrible. But…I feel like, even after I watch all of those, I’ll still have the same opinion because of how much passion Tom has for Peter Parker and Spider-Man. Not only is he so similar to Peter Parker, like, as a person, but, since Spider-Man has been his favorite, y’know, for, like, his whole life, he just has so much love for the character, and that’s really evident in the way that he portrays Peter Parker. Y’know, actors always try to their best in portraying the characters that they’re given, but there’s something different with Peter Parker, and there’s always gonna be something different with Peter Parker for Tom…So, I have a feeling that it will stay my favorite.

Okay, favorite scene or line in Spider-Man (Homecoming I got carried away lmao). Okay, I went over this so that I would have something to say, and I got really excited during this part, so I’m gonna stick to one specifically (meaning I could not choose and talked about the movie forever…this one has just been on my mind recently). When they’re practicing for nationals for the decathlon, and Peter is telling their team advisor that he’s not gonna be able to make it to nationals, and Liz is standing up front and she’s like, “Okay, so, what’s the heaviest naturally occurring atom (element, whoops)?” and the one guy slams on the bell and goes, “Hydrogen zolitus! (colitus? I have no idea what the FUCK this is, but I can’t find it on Google. I have looked) That was not the question.” That is SUCH a mood. Honestly, that is SO me. That happens to me all the time. Y’know, you’re doing something, and you’re like, “This is 100% what they want. This is exactly perfect. This is everything that they’re asking for.” And then you do it, and the you’re like, “No. That was not even in the same realm. Nice.” So, that’s one of my favorites because that is a constant mood for me, so me. Alright.

Is there any specific role you’d like to see Tom in sometime in the future? Yes! I’m going to make a reference to his Nerdist interview that he did a while ago, and I’m assuming that you’ve heard it. In the intwerview, he talks about his brainchild of a potential movie, The Advisor, and he has so much passion and love for this little idea that he’s had for…who even knows how long he’s been formulating little details and pieces of this potential film. So, I’m just really excited see him be able to make that movie come to life?? So, it’s not a character role, but his role as the director. I’m just so excited for him to be able to direct that movie in the future and see it on screen rather than just in his mind’s eye. Alright.

Favorite thing about Tom… Physically? My favorite thing about Tom is his eyes because I’m the biggest sucker ever for brown eyes. I love brown eyes with my whole heart. I know that there are so many of you guys that have brown eyes, and you claim that they look like shit. No they fucking don’t. Your eyes are fucking gorgeous, and I hate you. I hate you when you say that your eyes look like shit because it’s not fucking true. (Somebody’s passionate.) Anyway, my favorite non-physical thing about Tom is, like I said earlier, is how passionate he is just about, like, everything that he does, and he’s not afraid to show his emotions and stuff, which is really hard for most (or like some w/e) guys because of hypermasculinity and all that dumb shit. But…He is not afraid to show how he feels, and, in interviews and stuff, his joy and his excitement is always so genuine and real, and that just makes me really, really happy. And, like, the one gifset (I’m assuming that you’ve seen it), when him and Jacob Batalon see each other at a premiere, and they run up to each other and give each other this huge hug, and they’re both so happy and excited to see each other because it’s been forever, and it’s just… -heavy sigh- It’s…it’s very precious. I… Anyway.

 If you ever met Tom, what do you think you’d say to him? Okay… The way that Tom portrays Peter Parker is very special to me. Spider-Man has always been my favorite, and I’ve always really related to Peter Parker, but, especially the way that Tom portrays him… Like, I can’t relate to him as much because I’m getting ready to be a sophomore at university, but, if this movie would’ve come out when I was beginning high school, everything that Peter does, I would be like, “Holy fuck, that is so me. That is 100% me.” Y’know, “big fucking mood” to everything that he does in this movie (aside from being Spider-Man, of course). –sigh- Y’know, so… If I told him anything, that would probably be what I would tell him, is: the amount of passion and love that he puts into Peter Parker means a lot to me because I have a similar amount of passion and love about Peter Parker and Spider-Man, and just… The way that he shows Peter Parker on screen is just, like…it’s really special to me… And I really would like to let him know that if I ever got the chance to meet him, and it makes me really emotional, and my chest is contracting, so I know that I would cry in front of him, but that’s fine, cos he deserves to hear it. Oh my goodness. Okay.

hello friends !! i am v v tired and emotionally distraught over the fact i was wrongfully terminated today but in more exciting news, this blog has officially turned ONE month old and i hit 200 followers today :-) thus, this calls for my first follow forever. i’ll also be prefacing it with a super cheesy blurb abt how much i love this blog and all of y’all, so buckle your seatbelts and get ready to go !!

when i started this blog, i had no idea i would experience this much joy from writing and interacting with all of you !! i had rp'ed in the past in groups, indie, and 1x1, but this was my first time really entering the krpc, or for those of you don't know korean roleplaying community. i remember using kpop fcs in groups and often being ignored for not using a lot of the mainstream fcs in american pop culture. now that i have this blog, i feel so #blessed to be able to interact with others who use kpop fcs and have high-quality writing as well !! on a more personal note, this blog has really helped me keep in touch with my writing and overall self. writing has always been difficult for me bc i felt like it was so time-consuming (not like i have anything else to do) and obligatory especially within the tumblr community, but all of you have been so patient while i dealt with irl problems such as work and college !! as a result, it really encourages me to try my hardest and push myself as a writer to reply as efficiently as possible. occupying myself like this has kept my mind off of other things going in my life in a way that my own personal writing outside of tumblr couldn't do. it always took me back to the dark place where i was alerady at, a lot of relating to my own personal experiences. now i'm ngl, there's some self-insert here and there with my characters. wooyoung was created to help me sort out my alcoholc tendencies. but the stories themselves take on an entirely new light, your muses helping mine develop into BETTER characters and people overall. being able to create this growth not only encourages me as a writer, but as a person as well. i personally connect with my characters a lot even if they lead different lives than me and care for them as if they were real. even if i'm not always the strongest for myself, knowing that i have my muses, our threads, and a loving community keeps me grounded. i don't rly have many other ppl in my life, so to have the krpc supporting and interacting with me has given me the boost i need. thank you all so much for that. now onto the more fun stuff !!

@chimxrical​: although i touched upon it briefly in my other positivity post, you've helped both me and hongbin grow so much. ours was the first thread to truly grab me and push me beyond the standard threads that die out or don't grow very much. you always replied so quickly and it rly made me excited to see how interested you were in our thread as well. i never expected hongbin to grow to as much as he has thus far, only the construct "sugar daddy politician" in my mind when i first conceived him. he had an icy air as part of his job that i myself even couldn't penetrate through at first without meifen warming up to him. his interactions with her really unveiled to me the more intimate layers of his character, that he had a lot of pain and tenderness going on beyond his work. that he didn't always have to be as tough as his work made him, that it was okay for him to dive into the softer dimensions of his personality. i didn't go into hongbin x meifen with all the details that we know about him know like his schizophrenic mother and his strong notions of justice and making the world a better place. but the more he interacted with meifen, the more insight i began to gain into who he was and how deeply his details connected with me. hongbin and meifen's (and don't forget kyungri's) headcanons have always brought joy to me and i love thinking of how far hongbin and meifen will get together the more that our thread develops. and for you as a mun, you've always been SO patient and supportive. whenever i have questions or just want to share something with you, you welcome me with open arms. you have such a kind heart and it shows through all of your characters. thank you for always being there and your wonderful replies to our threads <3

5.5k words, horror/thriller, yoongi + reader, college/cop au.

You tug the thick manila folder from the stack of files. File #666, marked as “resolved.” You take it from the storage and back to your cubicle. Ruminate over the case a bit. In a strange, twisted way, it’s funny: for months, members of the department had been making bets and dark-humored jokes about what the six hundredth and sixth case would be. Would it be bizarre? Or something more commonplace?

When case #665 turned out to be the kidnapping of twenty-six schoolchildren and gained international attention, speculations for case #666 grew exponentially. A mass murder. A mysterious outbreak. Or maybe someone would actually manage to summon Satan.

And yet, after all the debates and guesses, case #666 turned out to be a double suicide attempt. It’s uncommon—of course, but it was underwhelming compared to all the expectations it had garnered. You lay the folder on your desk before taking a seat. Two college students. Roommates. Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung. You review their profiles, just to make sure that nothing’s been changed.

Nothing has, as expected.

According to the case file, one of them was a blogger—Jimin, you think—and a link to the blog is hastily scribbled on the bottom corner of the folder:

Dutifully, you type the URL into your browser.

The notes in the folder say that nothing of importance was found on the website; it was simply a loose, carefree, lifestyle blog. The last few entries talked about gaming—but the psychologist’s notes say that the “sudden recession” into “nostalgic times” and the “gaming world” suggest the two stressed students were simply “trying to find an escape from reality.”

And eventually, the two boys realized that the ultimate escape was Death itself, not a digital world of fantasy. So, together, they tied each other’s nooses and hung themselves from their ceiling fan.

Or so the story goes.

You think back to your talk with Yoongi earlier, the way his voice was cracked with desperation, determined to prove the facts wrong. The webpage finally loads.

The minimalistic layout is aesthetic, functional, and the sidebar contains a sunny biography of the blogger:

You quickly skim over a few posts, not exactly lingering on a particular one, before sorting them based on chronological order, oldest to newest. Twenty-four entries total. Not bad. You’d been expecting more.

“You’re still on that case?”

Heejun’s voice startles you. Talk about meddling co-workers—seriously. You swear that he and Sehun are the nosiest and biggest gossipers you’ll ever meet.

“Huh–wha–yeah, duh,” you say, turning around to face him. He’s got a mildly amused look on his face, one arm resting casually on your cubicle.

“Didn’t we all conclude it was just a double suicide attempt by two stressed college students?”

“No, you guys did,” you say, turning back to the blog. You’ve still got twenty-three more entries to read. “I wasn’t even assigned to the case, so I never got a say in the manner.”

“So why now?” Heejun shifts his posture. “Why all this sudden interest? And why don’t you think it’s a suicide attempt?”

You turn back to him; it feels a bit awkward talking at a computer. “I was contacted by their best friend, you see. And, funny thing is, their best friend is actually my–oh, what is it? My sister’s cousin-in-law?” Heejun raises his brows skeptically. “Well anyways, we knew each other - kind of - and he insisted that Jimin and Taehyung’s case wasn’t just a suicide.’”

“Then what is it? An almost-successful double murder attempt?” He shoots you a look and you shrug, knowing that a double murder attempt on a college campus is significantly less likely—and plausible—than a double suicide attempt. Heejun crosses his arms.

“I mean, I guess, since besides suicide, there’s no other plausible reason as to why they were both found hanging from the ceiling fan… Thank god Yoongi–that’s their best friend’s name by the way–found them when he did, and the paramedics came when they did, because otherwise those boys would’ve been goners.”

“Well, I wouldn’t be too sure about that. They’re both unresponsive and in critical care. They might be still be goners after all.”

“Have some sensitivity,” you say, and chuck a book at him. He smirks as he straightens up, carefully running a hand through his perfect hair. Prick.

“But seriously, why is that Yoon–Yoonji, was it?–guy so adamant about it being a sort of murder attempt? I can see why the murderer would try to hang them, you know, as a way to fool others into thinking it was a suicide, but what’s the motive? And this was done in a college dorm. Did no one hear any shouting? The walls are pretty thin. The room didn’t seem to show any signs of a struggle, which is weird because this is two full grown men we’re talking about. Not little grade schoolers who will follow you around anywhere ‘long as you got KitKats.”

“KitKats are good,” you say defensively. “But yeah no—that’s what I don’t get either. Who’d want to kill two average, not-rich-but-not-poor college students? What’s there to gain? A higher ranking? A slightly quieter dorm? Was someone jealous that the two of them managed to score a suite? I don’t get it, and Yoongi didn’t have many ideas either, but he vehemently insisted that Jimin and Taehyung would never do that, and that they did not seem to exhibit any signs of depression.”

“And, despite the lack of evidence to back up the claims other than pure intuition, you believed him and are currently studying the case right now.”

“…Yes.”

“On your own free time.”

“…Yes.”

“Please tell me that at least that Yonghi guy or whatever is helping you.”

“Yoongi was actually planning on starting his own investigation, if I hadn’t agreed. So, yes.”

Heejun still continues to look at you judgmentally, so you turn away.

“Well,” he says. “Suit yourself. Don’t forget: we got another briefing at 1.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

The web page buffers for a while before the “no connection” sign comes up. You sigh, tuck your phone back into your pocket. The speeding subway car careens through the tunnel, heading towards Yoongi’s dorm. You check the time—5:06. You’re running a bit late, no thanks to Heejun.

“...the next stop is…”

You get up.

“So?” you say. “Come up with any new ideas?”

Yoongi shrugs. He’s still moody as ever—but now there’s this unsettling darkness about him. Determination. Vengeance. Everything brewing just beneath the surface of his pale skin, his lips thinned into a harsh line.

“I visited their dorm yesterday,” he says.

“Oh? How?”

“Got a key.” He flashes it at you before pocketing it. “Tae used to forget his all the time, so I ended up with a copy. Got it illegally replicated, but that’s beside the point.”

“Not sure if you were supposed to tell that to a cop, but okay.”

He gives you a wry smile. “But right now I consider you my partner in crime.”

You shrug. “Sure.”

“Anyways,” he says, brushing past you and towards the door. “I think that, before I say anything, you should go take a look, too. I saw some pretty… interesting things in there.”

Your chest constricts.

What I do in my Downtime

A few of you guys have been asking about what I do in my freetime/downtime—especially since I keep on telling you all that I have so much more of it now that I’m in college.

Well, most of the time I just sit in my dorm and blog, or I’ll go and hang out with my friends. Or I’ll hit the gym.

Recently, though, I’ve been getting kinda nostalgic for the old days—like, the way old days—so I’ve been kinda playing a few childhood games like Smash and Mario Kart. I actually just downloaded this PC version of Pokemon Emerald from, quite frankly, a sketchy website. I don’t think I got any viruses or anything, though. Hopefully.

So. Anyways. I really encourage people to join clubs—I’m part of a few myself—because they give you a community, and they’re always doing fun stuff so you’re never bored. Don’t be like me, though. Actually attend the meetings and get involved. I mean, I do attend some and such, but like… it’s a lot better to be really involved in one club. That’s when things get super fun, because then you really connect with everyone over that one interest….

In the meantime, you can catch me catching ‘em all…. In Pokemon Emerald (I haven’t started it yet, been kinda busy. But I’ll begin it next week and maybe post about my progress on here?)!

“Just before we go in,” you say, “I just wanted to let you know that I brought their file with me.”

Yoongi nods wordlessly and pushes the door open. “Okay.”

“And according to the file, Taehyung was genderfluid.”

“And?” The door squeaks open. Just as the files say, there appear to be no signs of a struggle; it’s disorderly, yes, but nothing seems to be… violently tossed about. No blood on the walls, or scuffs in the paint.

“He was struggling with his sexual identity and appeared to be having trouble coming to terms both with himself and his parents.”

Yoongi looks annoyed. “Look, I know what you’re thinking, but he—he was making it, okay? He was doing well, and we were working on it, and he was slowly just getting his parents to understand.”

“And do you know if he ran into any...problems shortly before his suicide? His parents didn’t tell the cops anything of the sort—but maybe you know?”

“No,” he says bluntly. “I don’t know, but I doubt there wasn’t much of anything. Not when he had so much to live for.”

He leads you into their living room. There are no bodies, but the sense of horror is still in the room, lingering by the ceiling fan. Silently. You and Yoongi both know it and wordlessly move onto their shared bedroom.

“Yoongi,” you say, softly. His back faces you. “I know this might sound a bit… rude but… are you sure you aren’t in… denial?”

He flinches. His fists clench. You steel yourself. And then his fists unclench, and he takes a deep breath.

“Think what you want.”

You chew your bottom lip.

“Come on,” he says, jerking his chin over towards a desk. “I need to show you something.”

He heads over to a laptop, which sits open and blank. It’s been turned off. Yoongi slowly, deliberately pushes it aside, revealing a gray-black skid mark along the cream-colored wall.

“Here,” he says, pointing at the mark. “I was sent over here to help collect the valuables and have them shipped back to their families.”

You nod. “And so what’s so special about this mark?”

“It’s a long story, but in short, I’m 90% sure it’s from the laptop, which means that Jimin—that’s whose desk this is—must’ve like, pushed or thrown this thing against this wall to create such a mark. And like, he’s Jimin. He treasures his computer a lot. Hardly lets anyone touch it and is such a neat freak—like, look. He wipes his keyboard and screen daily. Not a speck of dust. Well, now there is, but before there wouldn’t be.”

Yoongi takes in a deep breath and you urge him to continue. “So he must’ve like, saw something or heard something frightening while on his computer… But I don’t know what. It must’ve been really scary, though.”

“Maybe he was watching horror movies? And this mark could’ve been there before either of them even moved into the apartment. Or it may have appeared during moving. How are you so sure?”

Yoongi shakes his head, slightly frustrated. “Jimin’s a wuss. He wouldn’t do that. And even if he did, he wouldn’t like, throw his computer. One time Jungkook pulled a scare prank on him, and all he did was scream at the screen and back away. This—it’s almost like….” Yoongi shakes his head. “It’s almost like he sensed danger from the computer itself.”

He pauses and meets your skeptical gaze. “Oookay. But that still doesn’t explain how you know that it came from the laptop, and was pretty recent.”

He shrugs. “I’ve done tests. I’ll submit them to you later.”

You narrow your eyes. “Sure, I’ll take a look at them.” You lean in, study the skid mark. Straighten up. “Okay,” you say. “So let’s just go along with this theory you’ve got here. Jimin sees something on his screen, sense his computer is a dangerous object, gets scared, throws and-or pushes it against the wall out of fright. What did he see? And what happens after that? Something crawls from the screen and hangs both him and his roommate?”

Yoongi sighs and deflates slightly. “It sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?”

You say nothing.

“Hey, you know,” he says. “You said you brought the files, right? Mind if I take a look at them?”

“You’re technically not allowed to,” you reply. “But if it helps us both, then I don’t mind sharing information. You just need to ask for it specifically.”

“Fair enough.”

“He had a blog?”

“You know, for someone who claims to be his best friend, I’m very surprised to know that you didn’t know he had one,” you say. “I mean, so many of his other friends did.”

“I mean like, I did, but I thought it was just some kind of hipster-fluffy-animals Tumblr kind of blog, not like, a legit blog!” Yoongi sounds astounded. “Damn.”

“Well, now you know.”

“Hold up,” he says. “Let me—lemme check this out. How many entries have you read up to?”

“There’s only twenty-four. I’ve read through most of them. Want to look at the rest together? The ones at the beginning didn’t really say much at all.’

“Okay.”

He chuckles at the screen as it loads, comments how the layout is “so Jimin.” He visits the Etsy link, blanches, exits. Most of posts are, just as the file says, carefree and loose.

My new Addiction

Oh god, I think I’m addicted to Pokemon now. I’ve only just started Emerald and already I’ve got like, 10 hours on the game. Fuck. Thankfully midterms are over but still…

(I even got my roommate hooked LOL)

Anyways, since we’ve already played this game before, my roomie and I are having a race to see who can beat it the fastest. Loser has to do chores for a week and make food. I’ve invested so much money in repellant it’s ridiculous… but hopefully I’ll be able to make it to the Elite Four like, tomorrow. Maybe.

Oh—almost forgot. I don’t know, maybe it’s because it’s a PC version and such, but this copy of the game has got some really cool (and slightly creepy) mods. And glitches. Like some of the music gets played backwards—especially Lavender Town’s. Man, that is creepy as fuck, lol. And what’s really cool, though, is that some of the people you fight against will have more than 6 pokemon. Like, there was this dude who had 10 magikarps LMFAO.

For any of you guys wanting to play this version (some of you have asked me for the download link and I’ll post that later) just know that sometimes Pokemon in your party will get swapped out/go missing… so always make sure to save!

Yoongi knows it too, as his breathing stills for a second and he backs away slightly. “This—this is going to sound kind of crazy,” he says. “But do you think… the game… had anything to do with their deaths?”

“You think this is the thing that Jimin saw?”

“I—I don’t know!”

“It’s literally a rip-off Pokemon game. How… Would this kill them? In any way? And it’s two of them, mind you. Plus, to hang them…” You shake your head. “None of this is making sense. I’m sorry.”

Yoongi doesn’t say anything, just continues to stare at the ground.

“That brings me to another point, Yoongi.” He doesn’t respond, still lost in thought. You gently prod him on the shoulder.

“Yoongi?”

“Hm?” He looks at you from the corner of his eye.

“Can I ask you something?”

“What?” He looks away but this time you know he’s listening.

You take in a breath. “How did you know to go to their place at half-past midnight?”

Jimin groans and cracks his neck, flexes his fingers, knocks back a Coke. The taste is getting a bit overly sweet and the fizz is practically gone from sitting out so long, but he drinks it anyway. Outside, the insistent pitter-patter of rainfall threatens to lull him to sleep but he resists, shifting his position. He’s finally made it to the Elite Four, and there’s no way he’s calling it quits now. Not when he’s so close, and when he knows that Taehyung’s also hard at work playing in the living room.

Ah, rivalry. Jimin tips back his near-empty Coke can, tosses it towards the trash can. He misses. Shrugs. He’ll clean that up later—right now, he’s got to focus on beating the game. His PC finally manages to load up the scene, and, unsurprisingly the music is backwards. He rolls his eyes and turns his volume way down; it’s past midnight and he’s really not in the mood for creepy glitches right now.

The battle begins. The first of the Elite Four sends out her Pokemon and the sound it makes is uncharacteristically loud—especially with his volume turned down so low—and strangely, vaguely reminds him of a twisted cry.

It’s hard, no doubt. His Pokemon are pitifully underleveled—a downside to avoiding all possible confrontation and rushing through the game—and he’s only got a few potions and full revives on hand.

“Come on,” Jimin says under his breath. “I need that critical hit—gimme that critical hit, you can do it, I believ—YES!” He jumps up in his seat, ecstatic.

When he gets to Lance, however, Jimin is more than irked. First of all, Lance isn’t supposed to be in this game; the Dragon-type specialist is supposed to be Drake. However, that’s not what’s bothering him—what’s really pissing him off is the fact that all six of the Pokemon in his party have been replaced with unknowns. His annoyance increases when he realizes the unknowns spell out “UR DEAD.”

Seriously? What kind of sick joke was this? This was probably one of those dumb glitches or mods—only this time it came at one of the worst times. He’s practically blanching at the thought of having to restart and fight the other Elites all over again—especially since the main reason why he’s made it so far is purely by chance. And an immense amount of luck.

“Of course I’m dead now,” Jimin hisses at the screen. “All I’ve got are unknowns! You can’t expect me to go into this fight and win, especially since I don’t have Rayquaza with me now…” He glowers angrily at the Pokemon.

Internally, Jimin fights a raging battle. To restart or not to restart? He chews the inside of his cheek.

“Fuck it, ‘m goin’ in.”

He’s probably going to have to restart the game anyway, so he may as well give it a go. Maybe he’ll luck out.

The battle begins, and the music changes.

Lance sends out his first Pokemon—except, to his pure, unadulterated horror, Jimin sees himself and Taehyung. Bloodied and lifeless. The sound the thing unleashes is eerily akin to screams of terror, shrieks of pain. A violent shudder runs down his spine and, throat dry and heart pounding, he shoves his laptop away from himself.

It makes a loud thump against the wall; the screen flickers. Jimin stands up, staring wide-eyed at the screen. When it flickers back again, the image of him and Taehyung is no longer there. In its place is Lance’s signature Dragonite. No blood, no shrieking noises. Just an orange, big-eyed dragon. Jimin blinks, slowly. Was he—was he imagining things?

In the next room he can hear Taehyung curse out loud. He’s fine. It’s okay. He was just seeing things; sleep deprivation does that to you. He knows—he read it in a psych textbook once. Shakily, Jimin sits back down in his chair, carefully drags his laptop towards him.

It’s just a game, he tells himself. And it’s in his computer. Like, what’s it going to do to him? Flash the Blue Screen of Death? He laughs nervously. It’s fine, he’ll be fine, he just needs to finish the game… And then he can go over and gloat to Taehyung and they can laugh about all the dumb glitches. Yeah—that’s right. That’s what’s going to happen.

Thirty minutes later, Jimin stretches back in his seat, a happy—albeit tired—grin on his face. The final Pokemon screeches in defeat before disappearing into the ground. He’s finally beaten the Elite Four—somehow.

With a jump in his step, he triumphantly skips—and almost trips over various objects—to the living room, where he knows Taehyung will be sitting on the couch, PC in his lap, still furiously battling the Elite Four. He’s practically giddy with the thought of getting to see the defeated, disbelieving look on his roommate’s face.

Jimin sucks in a deep breath, grasps the handle, and throws the door open.

“Hey Tae? Guess wha—oh...fuck.”

He stares, horrified, at the shadowy, limp, very Taehyung-shaped body that swings ominously from the ceiling fan.

And then when he feels the foreign touch of fingers—no, those are bones, he realizes—on his shoulder and the brush of a skull against his cheek, he knows that he’s next.

The rough squeeze of the noose and the sudden up-and-down drop from the ceiling fan cut off his screams before they can begin.

Darkness is all that’s left.

Yoongi’s silent for a moment. And then, quietly, without moving to catch your eye, “What does the file say?”

You flip it open. “It says that you were going to sleep at their place after coming back from a party. Both because of the proximity and to allow your own roommate some… privacy.”

You look up at him, raise a brow. “But was that all it? The timing is almost impeccable. The coroner said they’d only been strangled for a minute or two before you’d found them. Granted, the nooses weren’t the best, but still.”

“I don’t know,” he says. “I mean, yeah, I was planning to crash at theirs after my roomie told me he was going to take some girl home, but I also felt this thing deep down telling me that something was really, really wrong. Call it a sixth sense or intuition or what—I just really felt a need to check on them.” He pauses, takes in a deep breath. “It sounds suspicious, I know. But just to be clear, I have an alibi.”

You nod. “I know. Otherwise I wouldn’t be so willing to help you.”

He swallows, then gestures at Jimin’s computer. “Um, so, about that game he was playing… He never got around to posting the download link, but I happen to know the password to his computer…”

“You’re planning to play that game?” You put a hand on your hip. “How do you know it’s still on there?”

“I don’t, but it won’t hurt to check.”

“So let me get this straight, Yoongi: you’re saying that this thing is the reason why your friends were found hanging from the ceiling fan? That this was the thing that nearly killed them?” You gesture at the computer.

He shrugs. “I mean, what else do we have?”

“That’s true, but…”

“All that’s left is to play and see. What’s there to lose?” Yoongi shakes the mouse and boots up the PC.

You roll your eyes. Whatever. “Who knows?”

Three hours later, and the two of you have yet to encounter any of the glitches that Jimin reported.

“That’s weird,” you say. “Could it be possible he may have been exaggerating them a bit…?”

Yoongi reaches back and scratches his head. “I don’t think so… But at the same time I can’t come up with any other reasonable explanation as to how this is so different…”

You shrug. “I don’t know—maybe giving all that suspense attracted more blog viewers. People do strange things to attract more views, you know. Just saying.”

Yoongi seems reluctant and lost. “Maybe there was something wrong with the wiring that would explain some of the sounds…” He continues to mutter to himself, checking the sides of the PC before picking it up entirely. “But how does the ethernet wire affect the speakers? Maybe I can take it over to the Geek Squad at Best Buy or something…”

You sigh, check the time. “It’s getting late, Yoongi. I’m sorry, but I think I need to go. If you want, we could schedule another meeting next week? I’ll see if I can pull any more information from the servers.”

He nods absentmindedly. “Same place, same time? Wait, no actually, can we do it a bit later? Like, is 7 okay? I know it’s going to be dark and all but…”

“Sure.”

The final Pokémon faints, fades away, before the triumphant, happy music comes in. You yawn, stretch back in the chair. Behind you, with his legs crossed and elbows propped on the armrests, Yoongi lounges in his seat, thinking.

“So I guess that confirms it.”

You blink at him. “Confirms what? That I suck at Pokemon? It’s not my fault that you’re so crap at levelling them up—the only one above level 20 is your starter! How the hell am I supposed to fight a team of level 25 Pokemon with this mess?”

“No, not that,” Yoongi says. “And by the way, I don’t normally do that. It’s only that way since I was just messing around—wasn’t taking the game all that seriously.”

“Oh.”

“But anyways, back to the point. I was playing this game on and off through the week, sometimes alone, other times with friends and… I noticed that… the glitches only happened when I was alone…” He looks down. “And…”

“And?”

“And at one point… when one of the guys sent out a Pokemon… I could’ve sworn for a second there that... Instead of a Pokemon, it was a picture of me… except, well, bloodied. Brutally.” Yoongi swallows. “But it quickly disappeared right after a friend of mine walked into the room… Everything went normally after that. But um, I’m really really sure I wasn’t imagining it. I think I’m probably going to post on the forums and see if anyone else experiences something similar… I tried searching for stuff and the original file of this game but not only was I unable to find it, but for some reason the file is locked. Encrypted. I can’t get to it without a password, and I have no idea what it could be. Fortunately, I have a few friends who are heavily involved in cyber, so after we finish examining this game, I was planning to call them and have them help me somehow upload the game onto an online download link so we as a community can post about our experiences and stuff. Y’know?”

He fiddles with his fingers. Your eyes narrow.

“Anyways,” he says, “We should probably finish up with this game anyways. You wanna continue playing or...”

When you don’t answer, he prods you on the shoulder. “Hello?”

“As I thought,” you say, “You’re too dangerous.”

He gives you a confused, slightly suspicious look. “What?” You whip your head around, get out of your seat.

“Nevermind that,” you say, and, quickly, before he can attempt anything, shove a cupcake-shaped stress reliever—it had been sitting on the desk—into his mouth and quickly straddle him, holding his wrists together in one hand with a vice-like grip. He makes incoherent noises as he attempts to fight you off.

“It’s too bad, Yoongi,” you say, as you fumble out the length of rope with your free hand. “If you hadn’t been so adamant about it all, we could’ve avoided this fate. But the thing is you didn’t—you continued to meddle and stick your nose into something that you shouldn’t have. And now, unfortunately, you are going to have to be—well, silenced.” His movements are getting more frantic now.

“Min Yoongi,” you continue, as you swiftly—or as quickly as you can manage with one hand—loop together a noose, “a college student overcome with grief upon losing his two closest friends. After countless hours of research that ultimately led to nothing, he succumbed and hung himself in the very room his late friends took their lives in. How unfortunate.”

You gently place the noose around his neck. He fights hard against you, hands desperately trying to pry themselves from your grip. You giggle.

“That’s not going to work, you see. The undead have much greater strength with the benefit of having no muscle to tire out.” As you speak, a beam of moonlight filters in through the window and reveals you for what you really are: the human skin and flesh disappears under the silvery rays, leaving nothing behind but knotted and rotting bones. A skeleton, with no fingerprints to leave behind or heart to feel emotions.

His struggles stop abruptly as fear overtakes his body. You give him a lopsided grin. “Goodbye, Min Yoongi.”

Inside the University Hospital, on the fourth floor, two heart monitors beep. Their slow, mechanical sounds echo off of the walls, seeping through the cracks and diffusing in the stale air. The place smells of antiseptic.

The monitors continue to beep. In unison, the spacing between each sound growing longer and longer until finally, there’s one long, unfaltering beep that continues for nearly a minute.

And then there is nothing at all.

Pokemon Team:  I try and have a different one each generation, like Ash. But i still keep all my previous teams pride of place in a special box in each game and I love doing postgame stuff and minigames with them. I get really attatched to my mons! I’m so guilty feeling that I lost two mons from my unova playthrough during the transfer bck and forth from friends’s games back when i didnt have a DS for a few years. my poor samurott and leavanny... :( Anyway, my current team in sun and moon is primarina, mimikyu, goloisipod, alola raichu, alola muk and lurantis!
