genre according to fanfic criteria: slice of life, domestic fiction, found family trope, ANGST fucking aaghdjdkska PAIN.

two things you need to know abt this book is that it's (1) long, and (2) SAD. very sad. i was already crying before the angsty parts came in because u just get so ATTACHED to the characters ugh i'm in love with willem.

another thing u need to know is that this book deals with a lot of triggering and sensitive topics. so if ur planning on reading it, please read through this list of trigger warnings before you do.

OKAY the next two will be from the legend himself, haruki murakami:

Dkdkdkdj so @ Rindfleischet.. blah bla. so it‘s basically just loads of individual words put together/connected and that‘s a really big part of german. so yesterday i had an online Einführungsveranstaltung for uni (like it was a zoom meeting where they just talked about general stuff about the uni and i was really anxious before, idk why, but it turned out absolutely fine so) and that words consists of the two words Einführung (introduction) and Veranstaltung (event) which are also two individual words but you can make a new word (Einführungsveranstaltung, so in english that‘s basically “introduction event“ lmao) by combining those two words. there are obviously some rules like you can‘t just combine random words in a random order but you can basically make infinite words (technically). for example (i feel like i‘m teaching a class just skip this if you don’t care 🙃🙃🙃djdjdkdlns)

for example i could say Einführungsveranstaltungsteilnehmer (which is not underlined with red by tumblr because it is a grammatically correct compound word (i think that‘s what they‘re called?)) which is the words introduction + event + participant, so that word just means “participant of an introductory event“ but instead it‘s one word? i hope that makes sense? dkdkkdksks i mean it makes sense in german but idk if it makes sense to you cause idk if i‘m explaining it very well lmao,

Okay so skdjdjdjddhhddhdhjsk... I used to watch all of my series in German (like H2O) bc obviously they were on german tv so they were german- and i knew that most of these actors i saw on tv were american and i was always SO fascinated that they all learned german for this show??? honestly, i think i related to this fic a lot. not saying that seokjin will ever see me when i’m thirty and tell me he’s my husband, but y/n in this story made me rlly happy. like content idk. i think when i first went into this i could understand how y/n felt, like i never really needed extravagant parties because it never felt special? like i don’t mind having a cake alone, as long as i’m okay with what i have.

i think i used to joke about how money can actually buy you happiness because materialistic things would contribute to less financial stress, blah blah blah. but in yoongi’s story y/n is like sad. she’s alone, and like despite having everything she needs to survive, it doesn’t feel good when yoongi can’t be with her. and it kind of struck a chord in me because yoongi kind of gives her these empty promises, and i’ve honestly done that too, and it was a reflection of how that treated others around me, so it was a slap in the face, but a good way!! helps me grow as a person lol

with hoseok her feeling of being lonely even when everyone was around her resonated too much with me- LMFAO but his story and the way y/n never felt like she could keep up is how i feel with my friends sometimes and it just feels nice to read about her situation whether or not it’s real

namjoond was where i began to tear up because the feeling of not being good enough is honestly prevalent and the way seokjin and y/n comment on the life that y/n was in with joon. like to an extent, youre happy, but it’s internal turmoil that makes you feel frustrated and like not enough

anyways with jimins story they seemed happy, like it felt like they were picking up the pieces as best as they could but at the end of the day, it didn’t work out, because ambition wasn’t enough. and dance is so competitive so honestly jimin still trying to pursue that dream is very commendable

taehyungs family felt sweet at first. everyone looked happy, they looked close and i honestly was thinking about how in some ways, it felt nice to be preoccupied. and ik that’s it’s not taehyungs fault and he just wants the best for the family, but the stroller was like a good way of showing that what you want doesn’t correlate with what someone else might want?? and at the end of the day, she just cried, because it was so overwhelming, and just so much, and i literaly could never-

July 17th: I always….

Drink milk everyday since forever! except that one time after I was on exchange program for 1 year where I gained 7kgs++ because I drank milk like I drank water SUP!! but anyway after I went back to my initial weigh (mostly because one hella exam I BARELY WENT THROUGH) I’m back to my lovely lovely routine again. July 22nd: What inspires you?

Basically many things but I’m gonna focus on one particular thing here. The story of successful and NICE people esp in science / academia / research industry. success could mean anything from having work and life balance between academia and having a family (it’s fooking hard!), finish your study, getting through whatever obstacles we’ll have during the research that is in the end it could get you publish your hard work in the place you want to! I might not be able to put this as I wanted to, but by going to an academic conference and meet a lot of incredible people having a cool project in science inspires me a lot to finish what I’ve started. yup. nuff said. bc there was this time a friend asked me what makes me want to finish my study while other people (from my major back in uni) are already got tired from studying. well basically it’s two things in general, I wanna become as great as people I meet in conferences and two, my beloved country’s condition rn (SNORTED).
