one interesting principle i discarded as someone coding from a toyhouse background is that bc th has a whole ui dedicated to a profile sidebar, header and footer plus the gallery being at the very bottom no matter what, that lead layouts with tabs to be favored over scrolling ones (half the time anyways. ive seen some scrolling layouts that are really close to being an online bible lol). i personally always utilized that because a lot of people genuinely just want to see what the design is and move on, and having to scroll all that is annoying as hell.

tabs are good of course, but the case for where you -need- to have something hidden until clicked on hasn't come up to me yet. with scrolling layouts i can go as fast as i want to, mash the page down key, have every little box linked so the user has all the information laid out without having to click 7 buttons each time and even having to go back and forth to check something they saw in another tab again.

of course, i only realized how better this is when i freed myself from the confinements of the website's layout, and i can put my galleries wherever the fuck i want. my site is my world and i rule it with an iron fist!
