Ok, but in a world where Timothy Jackson Drake never existed, "Drake" would be a great hero/vigilante moniker for him to go by.
"But, EKat," you ask. "How would Tim be a hero/vigilante if he never existed?"
My reply, my dear reader, is Dimension Travel!
You see, in a world without a Tim, Tim would have the perfect opportunity to use the moniker "Drake" (aka his last name) to honor his deceased parents. "Wouldn't his last name be Drake still?" I don't see why he wouldn't just use Alvin Draper or drop "Drake" from his name and use "Wayne" or "Jackson" as his last name instead.
He wouldn't want to call himself "Tim Drake" because it could call attention to the fact that he looks oddly similar to Jack or Janet Drake (fuck the comics that make him look weirdly dissimilar to his parents) and wouldn't it be awkward to look at your parents and be like "hi, I'm your son that you never actually had because I'm from an alternate universe. Also, you both are dead in my universe."? And if they aren't together that would bring up a whole other slew of issues that Tim wouldn't want to deal with ever.
Calling himself a "Wayne" could end up getting Batman's attention faster. Which could be great as long as it's not one of the worlds where Batman is evil. It could also be bad because it's Batman. Also, depending on who's working with him, things could end up becoming a whole mess that could have been avoided by just Not using the Wayne name.
Jackson would make sense because Jackson. He is Jack's son. It would work really well with the "honoring his parents" thing. Although I'm a firm believer of Tim not having a favorite parent, so he'd want to do something to even out the fact that he'd be honoring his dad twice and his mom only once. He would absolutely make a new cover called "Janice" (he's got another cover identity that's a woman so it makes sense. also, don't ask me about last names for this identity, i didn't put that much thought into it. someone else should absolutely do that though.)
As for Alvin Draper, Tim using his cover identity makes sense in a scenario where he's been assuming that there's already a Tim in the new universe and he doesn't want the entirety of Gotham to catch on - just family. By the time he's figured out that there's no Tim in the new universe, he might have just committed to using the name for Reasons™.
Anyways! Have a lovely day!

❥ playground! (ep. 2)
⤷ ellie’s moments in playground episode 2! (ft. txt <3)
⤷ bulletpoint format!
⤷ after a long wait, episode 2 is finally out! don’t forget to leave suggestions for new fics!!!
“HOW THE HECK DID YOU BEAT ME AGAIN.”
huening and ellie were once again playing on the nintendo, waiting on the others to finish getting ready for the next shoot.
“ellie please. please let me win. just this once...for my dignity.”
the boy gets on the floor and starts bowing.
ellie starts freaking out, obvi.
“NO PLEASE DON’T BOW!”
she’s in a very frantic state at this very moment, no clue why...but, i mean it’s ellie...right?
“what’re you guys playing?”, “oh- um- mario k-”
ellie looks up from her position, DUN DUN DUN.
that was like...really cringe, i’m so sorry.
it was none other than the choi beomgyu. standing. right. in. front. of. her.
“oh- oh my god- uh- h- he- hello!” she musters up a greeting and quickly bows.
“you don’t need to bow ellie! we’re friends!”
oh no, this poor girl’s heart.
if she dies from an early heart attack, it was bcs of choi beomgyu, just giving everyone a heads up! /j
anyways, her face was like BEET red.
from across the room, her members were watching her every move.
sunoo was laughing at how serious the rest of them were.
“can you guys like...idk...calm down? she’s literally fine.”
“i know, but...” (jake)
“but what?” (sunoo)
“oh you know...” (jungwon)
“can ya’ll finish the damn sentence?” (sunoo and jay)
“it’s nothing...” (sunghoon)
“jesus christ, you guys are insane.” (sunoo)
“five minutes!”
ellie’s head shoots up.
“darn it, i almost beat you.”
“not even close huening, ellie is the master.”
her cheeks, once again, burn up.
before she could thank beomgyu, ellie is pulled away by jungwon.
“what the heck wonie?”
“it’s time to go.”
she’s obviously very confused? what was getting into him?
choosing to ignore his attitude, ellie obliges and lets the boy drag her into the studio.
he spoke no words...very odd.
ellie started overthinking...did she do something subconsciously???
“places please!” she massages her temples and goes backstage to wait for her group’s cue.
the episode started with each group dancing on stage.
their instructions were to “have fun!”
she gave it her ALL, messing around...and even getting into a dance battle with riki.
she found it absolutely hilarious, but unfortunately, her face dropped at the sight of jungwon.
obviously, something was bothering him, but she didn’t have the courage to ask...at least not now when everyone seemed to be having fun.
jungwon was not one to show his emotions outwardly, so to a normal person, he seemed like his usual self.
but, ellie knows better, she can read jungwon like the back of her hand...something was up.
she made a mental note to herself to ask him if he was ok after the shoot.
the first game was an absolute BLAST.
they were competing to see which team they would have to play on.
since there was an odd number of people, ellie didn’t have to compete against anyone. instead, she got to choose which team she wanted to be on.
(she secretly enjoyed it)
she looked at the two teams in front of her.
her original plan was to go into the yellow team so both teams would have an equal amount of enhypen members, but she felt iffy about doing so because of jungwon...
she could possibly be overthinking things, but she didn’t want to take any risks.
making eye contact with him one last time, she looks over at the red team and points finger guns at them.
“yay ellie!” beomgyu seemed way more enthusiastic than everyone else.
of course, ellie’s heart rate quickens at the weird observation.
the team name choosing was absolutely wonderful.
beomgyu came up with ‘brave dummies’ and for some reason everyone went with it, not that ellie was complaining because it was REALLY funny.
this episode required a lot more physical activity than the last one, which she had no problem with.
she led her team to victory during the first game with the tubes and ping pong ball.
got picked up by beomgyu hai!
wait wait wait...let me set the scene for you guys because...it was something else.
after winning the race, the 7 teammates all did a group hug, ellie being shoved into the middle while the rest ferociously chanted “ellie! ellie! ellie!”
kinda scary...looked like a cult from the outside lol.
she was so confused.
all of a sudden, a figure picks her up from behind and starts cheering very loudly.
she looked absolutely terrified because she had no. clue. what. was. going. on.
and when this poor girl turns her head back to look at the person carrying her, all bodily organs in her shut down.
her eyes went blurry and suddenly she couldn’t see, her kidneys failed, her limbs detached from her body...it was insane.
jay and sunoo, being the teasers they were, laughed at the look of the flustered girl.
it was...so much.
when beomgyu put her down, she felt her life flash before her eyes.
she still couldn’t believe what just happened, placing a hand on her forehead to see if she was sick??? for some reason.
she literally could NOT think straight after that.
the rest of the episode felt like a blur.
during the flag game, she failed oh so miserably...
“you ok?” jay teasingly asks her.
“leave me alone.” *cue her side eye*
“hehe.” (jay)
she felt so bad for doing so badly during the game, she kept apologizing :’).
“ellie! its ok! none of us did good :)” thank god for yeonjun.
she had to lay her head down onto ni-ki’s shoulders because she felt so defeated.
ni-ki responded by hugging her by the waist.
“don’t worry, i did horrible too.”
she hummed and pouted.
the screaming from the others made her feel a lot better.
“there’s that smile!” sunoo squeezes her cheeks.
the other team won, obviously.
she examined jungwon, he seemed like he was doing a lot better, seeing him enjoy himself was all the reassurance ellie needed.
oh good god...the next game...hahahaha.
it was...hai!
they had a piece of paper in which they had to fit all their teammates on, it was...intense.
she tried standing in the middle of jake and ni-ki, but was pulled by kim sunoo to stand in between him and beomgyu.
she froze up, god...can’t you just act normally ellie? (this was to herself btw ;) )
she tried not to think about the close proximity between her and beomgyu, instead giving her all into the game.
“ellie, it’s alright, step on my foot.” yeonjun tells her.
“are you sure?”
“yes of course.”
she cautiously steps on his foot, making sure not to put too much weight into it.
they got past a good amount of rounds, the last one is where they REALLY struggled.
“i have an idea!”
ellie announces while clapping her hands.
“i think if we put our feet in this pattern...”
she shows what she means by using her own feet as an example.
“it would save space...we can hold onto each other for balance like all the other rounds and our other foot can come up. the foot on the ground will serve as a stabilizer.”
“that’s SUCH a smart idea!” yeonjun smiles at her.
“thanks!”
jake couldn’t resist it...it came as an automatic reflex. he moves his hand around to squeeze her cheeks.
“miss smarty pants saves us yet again!” (jake)
she glares at him and hits his arm.
(there was a slight smile on her face though)
with ellie’s strategy, their team wins yet again!!!
they huddled into a group hug while the other team groaned in defeat.
“ellie should’ve joined our team!” soobin yells.
she giggles.
the final game was a big round of yut nori, which ellie still had NO CLUE how to play.
“do you know how to play?” beomgyu asks her.
“not really?”
“no worries, leave it to us!”
ellie blushes...yk...the usual.
ellie didn’t do much through out the game, following whatever the others told her to do.
by the end of it, you’d think she’d know how to play, right? wrong!
she still, to this day, doesn’t know how to play yut nori :))).
she was sad as the shooting ended, knowing that they probably won’t be able to shoot together with txt for a LONG while.
it was so very fun getting to hang out with her seniors, though beomgyu was a bit too much.
after they said their goodbyes on camera, it was time to say goodbye off camera.
soobin suggested that they make a gc together, to which everyone happily agreed to!
beomgyu asked ellie for her number, which she shouldn’t have though much about considering he was the one making the groupchat for them, but a girl can dream right?
after hugging everyone goodbye, her group moved back into their dressing room.
“i’m exhausted.” sunghoon mentions.
ellie’s eyes did feel heavy.
the 8 of them have been shooting all day and they could all probably agree that what they needed now was a nice long nap.
she moved over to where sunghoon was laying down and tapped the boy to ask him to scoot over so she could lay down as well.
the girl cuddled into sunghoons warmth.
“sooo, you and beomgyu, huh.”
“why? are you jealous?”
“maybe...but you know who is Very jealous right now? and who you should probably talk to bcs he’s definitely upset?”
her eyes widen, finally realizing.
“oh my god, i gotta go.”
she climbs out of sunghoon’s embrace.
“i was comfortable ellie!”
“yeah yeah!”
she runs out the dressing room, frantically searching for jungwon.
she accidentally bumps into beomgyu.
“woah there, where are you going???”
“i’m so sorry! uh- i have to go talk to jungwon about something, i can’t really stay for long...”
beomgyu nods his head and motions for her to go.
she finally finds jungwon at a vending machine, grabbing two drinks.
“yang!”
she finally reaches him and drops her body down to catch her breath.
“i’m so sorry.”
“about what?”
“sunghoon said you were upset with me about something...and i wan- (deep breath) i wanted you to know that no one will ever replace you or any (deep breath) any of the other members (deep breath).”
jungwon stays silent for a bit before chuckling at the sight of the girl’s state.
“oh ellie...” he gently makes her look up by her chin, “don’t worry about it, i knew you would never do that...i just got jealous seeing you blush at beomgyu so much...”
the last part was barely audible, but ellie understood.
she giggles, “i didn’t know mr. yang was the jealous type!”
he glares at her, “whatever.”
she smiles and hugs him by the neck.
“let’s go back, we’re heading home soon.”
ellie pulls jungwon by the hands.
“wait,” he fishes for the two drinks still left in the vending machine, “this is for you.”
it was strawberry milk, her favorite.
“thank you, kind sir.”
the two walked back hand in hand.
“is wonie feeling better~” heeseung teased.
jungwon mocks his face.
“time to head back!” their manager calls out.
“god i cannot wait to sleep.” ellie groans.
“ellie~ can i sleep next to you tonight?” ni-ki pleads with his eyes.
“why not sunoo?”
“he wanted to switch it up today, apparently.” sunoo clings his arms with ellie’s.
“i mean of course you can riki, just promise me you’ll actually sleep and not watch videos all night.” ellie stares at him.
“promise.”
she smiles and hooks her free arm around his.
“now...let’s go home.”

My Maine Girl (Chris X MC)
A/N: Hai! So here is another entry for the Choices September Challenge (Day 21: Autumn) and a little bit of a last-minute contribution for Chris Appreciation Week. I know it technically ended when the latest chapter of the Senior came out today but I still wanted this to be in it. Hope you like it! It’s pure fluff so no tissues today! Also I tried to be clever with the play on words.

Aria wakes up when she hears the deafening sound of glass shattering. It echoes throughout the house and it startles her from her formerly sleeping state. It’s the first actual noise she’d heard in this house since she arrived with Chris to spend two weeks of her summer with his family.
For the most part, the house has been pretty silent and not much has occurred or happened. Chris’ family aren’t as crazy as you’d expect them to be. They’re just a normal, regular living in their wholesome home in the outer parts of Maine. They have traditions like most families do and rules that the kids never obey. A house as immaculate as a hospital, which is an unusual comparison but that’s Aria could come up with in her drowsy morning state. A family of four kind hearts and it still feels complete, even with the lack of a father figure.
Everyone seems okay. It’s strangely regular.
It’s not like Aria hasn’t done this before because she has and it’s been pretty great. At the beginning, it was slightly awkward, especially the first time she met Chris’s sister, AJ, who treated their meeting as more of a test than a greeting. All the curious questions and expectant looks only came down to whatever Aria said in return. Turns out she knew Chris better than she thought the impressed his sister enough for her to like the girlfriend. Kyle was a lot easier, joking about how surprised he was that Chris even has a girlfriend. Aria gifted him with a toy Chris said the boy had pining to have for a long time so Aria took it upon herself to buy it for him and that pretty much sealed the deal.
His mother was slightly more difficult, her main issue being Chris and Aria sleeping in the same bed. Hell, she still has that issue. Reason why Aria isn’t curled up in Chris’ arms right now. It would be a lot nicer if his mother had more trust in her son. He’s responsible, mature and perfectly capable of sleeping in the same bed with his own girlfriend. Besides it’s not like they can’t control themselves and they live together for god’s sake so what’s the issue? Of course, at first, his mother was welcoming but never really took a liking to Aria until she found out how Aria had told off Chris’ dad and put him in his place, even defending his mother in the process which she was thankful for. That was the moment that Aria is glad she made, otherwise Chris’ mother may still be suspicious of her.
While her senior year is drawing near, Aria has been really stressed with how to end her writer’s block and finally come up with an idea. It hasn’t been going too well and Aria is glad to have these two weeks to just, in Chris’ words, relax and just forget about all the stress. Sounds doable but not being by his side only makes her mind more difficult to control.
Maybe she should just check on her notes again and maybe she can-
Suddenly, Aria’s thoughts are stopped short when she hears that horrific shattering again, the sound of the shards cracking rings in her ears a thousand times. What the hell is going on down there?
Too curious, Aria rises from her bed in a tired manor, trying to clean herself up as quick as possible, taking one quick glance in the mirror and taking a second to smooth out her dark hair, before exiting her room and venturing quietly downstairs. It’s pretty early still and everybody must be asleep. Well, besides the person making all his damn noise.
The noise gets significantly louder as Aria moves and she pauses when she catches sight of a figure in the kitchen. As her visions is fixed from its blue, she squints and identifies the only other awake soul as her boyfriend, Chris. Two piles of shattered glass rest on the floor beside him. He’s holding a surviving one in his hand and he inspects it cautiously, cursing under his breath. Chris looks frustrated and like he knows he’s doing something wrong.
Before she even knows it, Aria is leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen, her arms folded as she eyes Chris intently, curiosity playing at her dark eyes. Chris doesn’t seem to have noticed her so she takes this opportunity to catch him off guard.
What she does next she may regret for the rest of her life.
“Boo,” is all she says and that’s all it takes for Chris to flinch with fear and instinctively drop the glass in his hand. An extremely loud shattering noise invades the silence and yet another heap of glass infects the floor.
Chris swerves around to his girlfriend, facepalming hard when he realises what and why she did what she did. “Seriously? Don’t scare me like that, baby. That’s three glasses. My mom is gonna kill me.” Chris curses under his breath again and runs his hand through his faded hair, releasing a deep sigh before glancing back at the broken glass.
Aria is hit by slight guilt as she realises what she did. “Oh. Sorry.” She apologise but regrets immediately doing so when she sees the smirk crossing Chris’ lips.
“Yeah. It doesn’t really matter. I’ll just say it was you.” Chris jokes, shooting her a playfully poisonous and she saunters up to him, an incredulous look fixed on her face.
“Really now? Just blame it on the girl.” Aria counters, pausing when her face is inches away from Chris’ and she starts to ‘innocently’ press her body up against his. He flinches lightly at her sensitive touch, this chests colliding.
Chris’ smirk only widens as his ocean eyes skim over his beautiful girlfriend’s stunning face. “Damnit. Maybe I shouldn’t have done that.” He admits, dropping his voice to a low, husky whisper and grazing his lips over Aria’s, still not touching completely.
Aria smirks at his confession, her palms sneakily roaming up Chris’ chest. “No. You shouldn’t have.” She teases, matching his volume with a seductive whisper of her own. Just when you think they’re about to kiss, Aria pulls away teasingly, almost silently laughing in Chris’ face and she saunters over to the fridge, her hips swaying and Chris watches her with intent - a groan of annoyance escaping him as she walks away. “What the hell are you doing with all those glasses anyway?”
Chris stiffens at her question, placing his hand behind his neck awkwardly. “...Nothing.”
“Oh come on, what insane thing did you plan and manage to smash three fucking glasses?” Aria retorts when she hears his denial.
“Okay, the third one was your fault.” Chris corrects pointedly.
“Fine. Two glasses.”
Chris smirks at that and leans against the counter, releasing he should probably start clearing up these glasses. “...I was trying to make you breakfast...”
“With three different drinks?” Aria interrupts, disbelief flooding her eyes.
“Let me finish.”
“Okay. Sorry.”
Chris rolls his blue eyes and releases a heavy sigh, definitely hesitant to continue. “The first glass I knocked over with the orange juice and the second glass... I unknowingly threw in the bin. Then when I went to fish it out, I saw a spider on the lid and got scared and... dropped the glass.”
Hearing Chris’ little sheepish confession, Aria can’t help but giggle at how adorably timid he’s being. So awkward and embarrassed but Aria could only really see it as cute and cuddly. What a sweet boyfriend does. And the spider story only added to the cuteness. Closing the fridge, Aria wanders over to Chris and plants a loving kiss on his cheek, seeming to make some of the embarrassment fade away with his doubts.
“Oh wow. Aren’t you a little cutie?” She teases and briefly brings their lips together, smiling against his lips sweetly as he deepens the passion already slowly building.
“I’m only gonna accept that because I love you and I think you’re adorable.” Chris murmurs against her lips as they pull away and he catches sight of a smile creeping up on her lips.
Aria wraps him in hug and grins widely. “I love you too. And I...” She trails off, her dark eyes suddenly widening with excitement and surprise.
“...What?” Chris questions.
“Chris, look! Outside!” Aria exclaims, linking their hands as she uses her free one to gesture to the view outside.
Chris follows her gaze with curious intentions, immediately drawn in and lost in the new vibrant colours of the trees. It almost seemed like fall had chosen to arrive already, as all the colours were what you’d expect in such a season. Faded mustard and fiery orange leaves drift from the once summer green trees and all that’s left are colours of pumpkins and fox fur. Shades of peace and warmth, signalling for those holidays that only involve family. That type of stuff. The vibrancy of the sky has slightly died down and more clouds have chosen to take their rightful places as watchers of the earth.
Chris returns his gaze to his excited girlfriend, when he feels her cup his face with affection and she looks deep into his eyes, a cute smile crossing her lips.
“Can we go for a walk in the autumn leaves?” Aria asks, as if she actually needs his permission.
Chris just chuckles, planting a sweet kiss on her lips, before gesturing for her to grab her coat. “You don’t even gotta ask, beautiful.”
With that, both Chris and Aria retrieve their coats and venture outside, hand in hand. Their fingers entwined, they wander side by side through the fall-infested streets, taking the chance to kick through any stray discoloured leaf they encounter. It’s so sweet to watch Aria get so excited about this stuff. Chris has never really had someone he can do this type of stuff. Nicole was never a fan of stereotypical romantic stuff. Hell, she was only really in it for the animalistic side - which is kind of messed up now that Chris really thinks about it. But he really never got to experience that normal couple stuff. The cheesy stuff you’d expect to see in movies, where an innocent couple stroll through the leaves and have that whole romantic moment when the boyfriend sweeps his girl off her feet and kisses her like nobody is watching.
Hell, just thinking about it makes Chris more eager to do it. He decides to go for it, trusting only his impulse and acting on complete instinct.
When they suddenly stop walking, Aria disconnects their hands and eyes Chris questioningly. “Chris, why have we-“
Chris doesn’t let her protest. He takes her by surprise and sweeps her off her feet, steadying her with his hands at her waist and spinning her around while instinctively kicking the drifting leaves. They twirl at a rhythm and Aria can’t seem to hide the surprise or excitement in her expression. She clutches Chris’ arms, almost afraid he’s gonna drop her but he never does.
When they finally stop, Chris cups her face and brings her in for a long, passionate kiss, quickly creating a heated pace and deepening it with sweet and gentle intentions. A desire ignites in his heart and Chris’ ocean eyes flood with a need for the one he loves. Just being here with a girl like seems impossible in his mind. He definitely got lucky with a girl like her.
Guess you wanna day... she’s like his Maine girl. Ignore the joke or play on words and focus on the sweetness.
Finally, they reluctantly pull away and Chris sets her down but her arms stay linked around his neck and she rests her forehead against his.
“Well... what was that for?” Aria questions, a grateful grin playing at her lips and she knows she’s never been this happy before.
“Just showing you how much I love you.”
With that, their lips meet again and they can’t help but think of this as the perfect time for a moment like this. A perfect place. A perfect second. A perfect minute. A perfect hour. A perfect day. A perfect week. A perfect month. A perfect year. A perfect season.
And that season is the sweet sense of Autumn arriving.
