i’m gay and can’t resist the opportunity to be sappy so here’s a january 1st post to let all of my mutuals know that you are loved by me whether you like it or not and that i’m grateful for every single one of you and am looking forward to getting to know you more in 2024!

when i returned to this rpc after a year long hiatus where a lot of stuff was just going wrong in my life, i was a little nervous that i’d have trouble finding interactions and building relationships both ic and ooc. it was a little difficult at first, but i’m so thankful i stuck it out because right around the corner were some very cool & special people who are not only talented writers and masters of characterization, but genuinely kind & fun people to talk to & get to know.

this post is dedicated to all of my lovely mutuals whether we’ve written together for months or u just followed me today, but there are a few people i want to be gay toward individually under the cut 🥳🏳️‍🌈🩷

@vialaviolenza / @valoroso : my beloved mortis!! you were my first new friend that i made upon the end of my hiatus & i adore you to the moon & back. i knew you were special from the moment i found out you basically live a stone’s throw away from me lol but more than that, you have been such a blessing to me. you’re always willing to listen to my ramblings & crazy ideas & our threads are always fuckin based, so you genuinely have it all & i’m excited for us to become closer in this new year!! 💚💚💚

3.) What is that one scene that you’ve always wanted to write but can’t be arsed to write all of the set-up and context it would need?

Everything I want to write for the WIP is Coming So Help Me God. If it doesn't fit but is still Mass Effect it's going in a supplimentary little oneshots catch all thing. That's been most of the brain atm, I've got some DW WIPs but I'm totally gonna get back to them I promise.

That Does Not Mean I have Never had half assed ideas I didn't write.

I wanted to make my DBH fic longer, I wanted it to be a whole thing about Connor getting super overwhelmed with being a Deviant and everything that entails and it was all a super thinly veiled metaphor for autistic burnout. I also briefly thought I would recreate the whole of DBH as a text-adventure that was naive hah.

I wanted to write a She-Ra fic focusing on what if Adora just let Catra come with her when she sneaked out of the horde to go find the sword in the first episode. It was gonna be a big long AU and basically everything would be different if that one thing changed. They were gonna be gay way earlier

I have a whole original thing I have never written much of at all but I do have ideas!! I also have Assignmence and Autism Special Interests which take precident a lot of the time.

8.) Is what you like to write the same as what you like to read?

This is a fun one because mostly no? Depends on how specific you get. I write fanfic, I read a lot of fanfic. In terms of genre, I love writing angst, if I do not feel 1000% confident that the angst will be held properly (no big dramatic plot twists or OOC stuff for drama or fuckin cliffhangers, dickhead) then I will just simply not read it. No. I do like when it's funny and nonsense and I write a lot of that, but I also like when random americans write about fucking Calculus man idk what I like that's between me, god, and a team of psychologists.

15. Which is harder: titles or summaries (or tags)?

I am simply built different these are all easy hahhaa. I am shit at suggesting titles for others writing but for me I just title everything either a joke or a song lyric and wham done. Idk if they're catchy or enticing I have no idea I just want it to all line up so you can scroll and sing a really weird disjointed version of a song weeee

20.) Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?)

WELL!! You are gonna read this and be like "none of this was new information to me" but idc I'm saying it anyway (SPOILERS FOR MY MASS EFFECT FIC LOL)

ROBOT SHEPARD. I adored that as a concept, it literally wasn't my goal with Tis Grace I have notes from the beginning trying to focus on the, like, social implictations of being dead for a while but it wasn't holding water and then I was like what about the physical implications and then I was like WHAT IF SHE'S AN AI

it was great and there is SO much coming for that, there's stuff in my ME3 one that revolves around that and I'm so excited for. It's all foreshadowed and set up and it's fun because a lot of it happened almost accidentally. In terms of relationships, I obviously love the title lesbians, I swear I do even though they have been together for maybe 15 minutes in the fic but look. I wanted an explanation for why Liara isn't with you in ME2 and I could not think of a cheery one for that. I also didn't expect to be as obsessed with Jack as I am but honestly herself and Shepard genuinely having a close friendship? Miranda gets roped in for dramatic tension? They should have let me write the games idc that I was 10 years old

Padfoot you Bellend [2]

A/N: I got an amazing new idea for this (well it’s not exactly amazing but fuck you i like the idea) so yaaa here’s chapter 2. It’s pretty predictable but idc. Also I’m very very sorry for the cliff hanger. Wait,no I’mnot .ENJOYY :)

Chapter 2:

A week later, Sirius was almost going mad.He couldn’t figure out how to properly talk to Remus about anything.Flirting with him just wasn’t as easy as other girls,this time it actually meant so much more to him. James had figured out what his feelings for Remus were and decided it was time to do something about it. 

At 3am when everyone was asleep, James took his invisibility cloak and the Marauders map and set out to find ingredients for a potion he was brewing. James never really liked Potions class since Slughorn tended to ramble on unnecessarily, but just as it happens, James was pretty talented. Since everyone was sleeping and teachers, such as Slughorn himself, were out patrolling the halls, it was pretty easy for James to sneak into his office and steal the ingredients.

The only problem however,was finding a place to brew it, and a cauldron. The common room wasn’t safe enough, someone might wake up and see him. So James wandered around Hogwarts until magically, a door started appearing in the walls. Confused, but hopeful, he opened the door and inside was a large room, with a cauldron already lit in the middle. It was the room of requirement.

“Perfect!, James muttered to himself. He spent half an hour brewing and then took a vial that was already in the room and poured in a small amount. James knew that Remus complained about never being able to find a boyfriend,stupidly not knowing that the exact perfect boyfriend he was talking about was right across the table from him. So this was the perfect idea. James would tell Remus to spray amortentia on himself and see who didn’t react differently to it. This would mean the amortentia would smell exactly like Remus himself to whoever was in love with him. It was a bit of a stretch, but a brilliant idea nonetheless.  James then went back to the common room and went to sleep, knowing what was to come the next day. He smiled to himself.

The next day, James awoke a lot earlier than usual and woke up Remus. 

“Moony!”, he whispered to Remus, “Moony wake the hell up!”

“What do you want Prongs”, he murmured back sleepily.

“Spray this on you”, James whispered, “It’s amortentia”

“What! Prongs are you mad!”

“Shhh. Keep your voice down”, he said back, “Just trust me on this,please” Remus thought about it for a bit, and then decided there was no use in arguing with James. He agreed and sprayed it on himself. Later, people would keep coming up to him and asking what cologne he was using, but nobody had matched what Remus wanted.To Remus himself, the potion smelt like chocolate and wet dog. An odd combination, but meaningful. He knew to himself that deep down, Sirius would always have a special place in his heart. But because of all the previous girls he had dated, Remus had figured Sirius was completely straight. He was very wrong, and when Sirius finally joined them at the Gryffindor table at dinner, he figured it out.

“Hello Moony, hello Prongs!” Sirius beamed. 

“Hey”,Remus replied back.  James only kept quiet and grinned to himself, knowing what would happen next.

“Well,Sirius, do you not notice anything... different?”, Remus continued.

“Um... no not really. Except the fact that the cologne you usually use is particularly strong today. Bloody hell Moony.” Remus’ mouth dropped in shock. He was processing it all in his mind. What? How? Could this mean? “Padfoot..” Remus began

“Um... yes Moony?” he questioned 

“I’m wearing amortentia” 

Sirius’ mouth too dropped. Well, his plans of wooing Remus had failed. Everything was out and he thought his life had ended. Oh god, would Remus stop being his best friend now? Will he fall out with the Marauders? James however was trying to contain his laughter, and failing. 

Sirius ran off, unable to control himself. He didn’t want it to happen so quickly. God, he didn’t even want it to happen at all. Yes okay Remus was gay,but they were best friends, surely the feelings he had didn’t match Remus’. Remus however, stood up and ran after him, leaving James with Lily to talk to. Sirius had already ran off but eventually he caught up. 

“Padfoot! Wait!” Remus called.

Sirius stopped for a moment. He couldn’t run forever and eventually had to face him anyway. He turned around and faced Remus.

“Moony i-im sorry. I di-didn’t want you to find o-” “No shut up.” Remus interrupted, “let me talk now”

“Padfoot, you absolute bellend. I have been in love with you for 4 years. I-i never expected any of this but for the love of God don’t run away from me.”

Sirius didn’t know what to say. Out of everything, this wasn’t what he was expecting to come out of Remus’ mouth. 

“For 4 goddamn years I have watched you date numerous girls, always secretly wishing that maybe one day, it would be me instead. But every single time I wanted to tell you, I couldn’t. I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”
