LGBT REPRESENTATION

Nico isn't a bad gay character, he’s just a normal character who happens to be gay and has suffered major trauma. HIS TRAUMA WAS CAUSED BY HIS UPBRINGING, Nico isn't a 2000′s character, he’s from the 30′s, so obviously he woudn’t be perfect with his sexuality for gods sake it was the 30′s. the exact same thing happens with hazel, she isn't a modern black woman, she's a 30′s black woman. Nico’s coming out isn't him as a 21st century teen its from the time when the GOVERNMENT KILLED YOU FOR BEING GAY

also saying there are no lesbian characters? like wow look emmie and jo don't exist. a concept

U know how in the comics Aang starts rebuilding the air nation with ppl who are basically converts to their religion? By like teaching them about the air nomad’s ways and stuff?

What if he gave some of them air bending using energy bending? And they could start re-building the air nation and it’s culture by teaching them everything!! They could even start moving back into the temples now that they could fly and rebuilding

They’d even have the bison!! According to the wiki aang found a living herd after the war !!

Idk just. As a Jewish person genocide stories are really really personal to me. And the thought of being the last of my people is terrifying

I just really want the air nation to have a chance to rebuild in a natural way. And I think that like letting ppl choose to convert and gifting them with air bending would probably be the best way

Ik aang’s kids and grandkids have air bending but trying to rebuild an entire nation from one bloodline is.... not the best idea

And I also know that in lok a bunch of ppl are given air bending, but that whole story really rubs me the wrong way (no hate to lok though!! There are parts I like!!)

but i really think that aang like.... allowing ppl to convert, and teaching them, and gifting them w/ airbending in the most natural/best way for that story to go and i wanted to share that!! :) 

anyway time for a whole essay because i.... apparently need to explain and justify every single one of my opinions. i’ma blame the adhd. 

I have 2 main issues w/ the new air bender plot. a) the air Nomad religion/culture is pretty explicitly seen as a closed one and b) it’s sort of a cop-out.....

so... first:

 Air bending is pretty explicitly a huge part of the air nomad culture and religion and is extremely spiritual. bc of how religious and spiritual it is the idea of ppl just.... randomly being given it really rubs me the wrong way.

It’s really really hard for me to explain this or come up with an irl example, bc these ppl didn’t ask for air bending, or try to gain it in anyway. So it’s not really their fault. But to me it feels almost like accidental cultural appropriation? If that makes sense

Which like. cultural appropriation is obviously bad. Even in the comic I originally referenced (the promise) Aang is initally really really offended by the people practicing the air Nomad religion when he first finds out!!! Which he should be!!!

There’s a difference between cultural appropriation, culture appreciation, and sharing culture. The first is bad, and the second 2 are good when done correctly.

Ima use an irl example w/ Judaism just bc using this personal experiences is apparently the only way my brain knows how to explain things

Scenario 1: Amanda (who is xtian) decides to research the Jewish holiday of Passover and the traditions behind it just bc she’s interested in it

This is cultural appreciation! She’s just learning about smthn she finds interesting. This is generally ok! although in some cultures there is knowledge that you are not supposed to know or discuss if you are not part of that culture and you should 100% respect that if it is the case 

Scenario 2: Amanda learns about the Passover seder and decides to throw one herself

Dont fucking do this omfg. This is cultural appropriation. Passover is a super important and religions holiday! It’s one of the high holy days and celebrating it on her own isn’t ok! 

Scenario 3: Amanda asks her Jewish freind Alex if she can come to his Passover seder

This is cultural appreciation and cultural sharing!! It’s totally valid!! She respectfully asks to join in and be included! 

it’s diffrent from cultural apropriation for one huge reason. she is joining in, rather than celebrating it on her own with no jewish ppl present 

Scenario 4: Amanda eats gefitlefish just bc she likes it 

this is appreciation! even though there are no jewish ppl involved! bc gefiltefish isn’t a holy/religious/spiritual thing. 

different aspects of different cultures have different levels of importance. as a general rule, if smthn is holy/religious, you should not do anything with it, unless invited by someone of that culture. if it’s not then you can generally do it on ur own (though there is some grey area there. ie, moccasins are smthn that aren’t religious to native americans, but if ur not native you shouldn’t be producing and selling them. if you want moccasins by them from actual natives) 

scenario 5: amanda contacts a rabbi and starts the conversion process 

this is...... just conversion lol. when she is finished with the process (which can take months/years) she’ll no longer be xtian and be jewish!! just as much as anyone who was born into judiasm. she’ll be able to host her own seders and any of her children will be jewish as well :) 

sorry for the really long thing!!  but i felt it was necessary to show the difference between some concepts that seem similar but are actually vastly different!! 

anyway, i hope y’all understand the difference between cultural appropriation/appreciation/sharing. if ur asking urself “ok why does it matter tho” friendly reminder that alot of irl ppl have been murdered for trying to peacefully observe their cultures/religions :) 

including the air nomads! (hey segway...) 

they are literally hunted to extension because they are part of one culture/religion. you could argue it’s a racism thing (which it is) but race, culture, ethnicity and religion are all inherently tied. see: almost every non-xtian religion worldwide 

SO. when you consider that a) the nomads were killed for their religion b) airbending was incredibly significant part of that religion, isn’t it weird that random people who have 0 connection or interest in that religion suddenly have airbending?? 

again it becomes like accidental cultural appropriation. which you can’t really blame the characters for in-world

but, these aren’t real ppl. they’re characters in a situation that was written by real ppl, real ppl who can and should be criticized 

not that i’m trying to call the creators bigoted in anyway! this dosn’t seem like anything that was meant to be offensive. and it’s not really that offensive unless you think about it. to me it just seems like a plot point that wasn’t fully thought through. i don’t bring it up to shame the creators, just as a way to show others why it’s smthn not to be repeated 

and, to show a better way to do a similar story 

the reason i went so in depth w/ the explanation of cultural appropriation vs appreciation vs conversion is bc i wanna show why a different way of approaching a similar story would have been better

the reason i think my whole idea (of ppl basically contacting aang or the air nomads, converting to the religion, and then being gifted air bending through energy bending) is better than ppl being randomly gifted it is bc conversion takes work 

to convert to any culture or religion you a) need a connection to someone in that culture (usually made by reaching out to a religious leader) and b) need to actually be accepted by that group in order to be considered one of them. it takes work and dedication. it’s a literal transfer of culture!! it’s just... ack i’m not good at explaining it 

but dosn’t it make so much more sense that ppl who actually worked to integrate themselves into the culture and become one of them are givin airbending? not because it’s a privilege but bc they need to first become part of the culture in order to have any right or claim to it 

but by just giving it to random non-benders it’s basically the reverse!! yes they later learn the culture and religon, but???? thats not how that works??? wtf??? 

i feel like i’ve been talking in circles and i’m sorry if i’ve bored everyone to death but i hope u understand my point. 

anyway! next thing! (i swear this part will be way shorter) 

by just making a bunch of random ppl airbenders it basically retcons one of the longlasting effects of the 100 yr war and almost just... erases the impact of the air nomad’s genocide 

which. is gross and uncomfortable. genocide stories are touchy subjects and smthn that need to be treated with respect 

just giving random ppl airbending it’s almost like the genocide didn’t matter at all. which i take a huge fucking issue w/ ok and i don’t feel like i need to explain why 

instead of a natural rebuilding of the air nomads it’s just fixed with spirit magic. it’s just... an insult to the really compelling and well written genocide story that was in atla and an insult to the irl ppl who related to that story 

so. yeah.... again i’m not trying to call out the creators, i again think this plotline was more accidentally insulting than purposefully 

i already propsed a better way to do it by allowing converts to gain the ability to airbend. (hell it dosn’t even need to come from energy bending or aang. the air nomads were incredibly spiritual, maybe a spirit gifted it to the ppl who earned it instead of random fucking ppl) 

but the other reason that converts instead of just.... random ppl gaining the ability is better is bc there aren’t gonna be that many ppl to convert!! there’s not gonna be some sudden boom in the airbending population!! theres would still be a story of the nation slowly healing and rebuilfing itself instead of the insulting sudden magic fix

The Origami King Review/Opinion

(I sorta hate that it has the word The in it cause when I did impressions or this review, it sounds strangely official)

I’m gonna review but if people don’t want spoilers here’s some Pros and Cons that I felt

Pros:

+ Music is fantastic! I love how the battle theme changes with every area/sub-area you go to.

+ Writing is good, it gets you invested in enough to sorta care. Humor is top notch as expected!

+ Olivia is a sweetheart! I love her so much and how she’s so marveled by everything.

+ Boss Battles are fun to figure and deal with.

+ Finding Toads is actually kinda fun, I enjoy figuring out where they’re hidden

+ Badge system is intriguing if not a bit clunkly put together (sorry, this is suppose to be Pros)

Cons:

- Regular Battles get old quick if puzzles aren’t really your thing and its a bit too easy to just not depend on the coins, thus making them pointless.

- Story sorta flops, it starts strong but then just sorta fizzles and all we got left is... fun experiences (I know this sounds like a Con, but while the experiences are fun, it is disappointing the story sorta flops hard)

- Character Design is very meh. The most well written character can’t save it from its extremely generic design

- But also Olly is not... that well written... so...

- Partners and Vellumentals are kinda under utilized to a disappointing degree (baby steps, baby steps ugh)

Anywho, that’s all my feelings (that I can remember and feel I can say without spoilers)

Hello and welcome to the Spoiler Bits of this Review/Opinion

Buckle in, this is a long one

Now y’all may be a bit curious as to why, with so much big things (music/writing/bosses/Olivia) being good and so little being bad, why a 6.5/10?

Well, I felt a 7 was too generous and would make people think “Oh, its good!” but a 6 is like “Eh... its mediocre” and a 6.5 is more like a “Its Good, But” and I feel that But is important! I know how this may sound, but TOK could’ve been WAY better and Chapter 2 was an example of how good this game could’ve been!

You know how people always bring up Huey, or the “Morton Leston” joke, or the “I would do things that would raise this game’s rating” line as examples as why Color Splash is actually really good and we’re all in denial?

I feel Chapter 2 will be that for TOK and its all because of Bobby! I like Bobby, I like Bobby a lot! I wish he stuck around! I loved how he and Olivia interacted together and how they formed a bond!

But

I sorta hated how overall useless he was to the action and adventuring. He’s the most useless partner that somehow leaves a deep impression on the player!

He leaves such a deep impression that I don’t think anyone noticed how badly written Professor Toad was! He was such a let down as a follow up to Bobby! And worst of all, he was like way more useful than Bobby! He can dig holes, he can wipe out a whole role of enemies, he has a function outside of battle and story.

Seeing how useful Professor Toad was, sorta put into perspective Bobby and his eventual sacrifice to save Olivia (I told ya this was spoilers). He just dies, in a shockingly emotional moment, giving a speech about how Bomb-Ombs live relatively short lives and are always trying to make the most of it.

Wow... I really wish Chapter 6 didn’t have a segment where you were half hazardly shooting bomb-ombs out of a cannon, cause otherwise, this could’ve been way more impactful!

But it also made it seem like "we can't make Bobby too useful, he's gonna die. So just keep him extremely simple and useless in every other aspect of the adventure, besides story."

I don’t get how TOK started out so strong! The intro and Chapter 1 introduced us to the basic loop how what we’d have to do and how stuff will play out and Chapter 2 took that and showed us how far we could go with this loop and how involved the world will be with this loop!

Only for Chapter 3 to just give up on everything and give us 1 expansive dessert to explore, a very one note partner who doesn’t leave a lasting impression, a boring quest of solving an ancient riddle and a very annoying boss dungeon segment that went on longer than it should’ve! And above all else, a very half-assed excuse for why he won’t be joining your journey! Especially since Chapter 4 doesn’t have a partner!

Chapter 4 feels like an overly-long intermission of Mario n Olivia’s adventure to Chapter 5. Legit the purple streamer of 4 could’ve been the green streamer of 5 and it would only flow just a little bit less smoothly. Chapter 4 has this weird send off to the Vellumentals, with the boss dungeon being a mixture of the last 4 Vellumental chambers you’ve explored. Which feels out of place especially since there’s like 2 more chapters of stuff happening afterwards! And like a thunder elemental like boss fight in 5 but I guess they just couldn’t be bothered to create a Thunder Vellumental fight to tack onto the story and just gave it to this Origami Sumo Bro! Okay!

And then the Bowser Castle segment is right when they decide to get creative with enemy encounters, but only 2 enemy encounters (you can fight these two multiple time if you’re neither a chicken nor annoyed with the battle ring system) but then just stop right after cause Scissor makes cut out soldiers was the only excuse why that happened.

Again... I like TOK, I do. If I didn't, I'd rate it a 4 or 5 outta 10. I'll talk about the good, I will, but lemme just rant about 1 thing first! Its actually 2 rants but its gonna be about 1 topic I'm rather passionate about.

Character Design

I hate how generic the Legion of Stationery are! Once again, Chapter 2 wins by giving Rubber Band a very unique design, but everyone else is so generic looking! Remember how I said the personalities couldn't save them from their generic design? The Legion have such fun personalities, its so tacky and fun! But I cannot get over how it contrasts with the fact I'm staring at an object hoping in place or wiggling or jiggling as they talk! It kinda sucks, honestly!

I wish these guys had more creativity behind them, and truth be told it wouldn't have bothered me had Rubber Band not been an outlier! Why them and not everyone else! Its baffling!

But above all else, the worst offender, is the Origami Craftsman! The dude who folded Olly! Is a TOAD! That's it! A toad in an apron! WHY

And I get it, there's story reason behind it! Olly wants all Toads gone cause they all look alike and thus everyone reminds him of the Craftsman who wrote (a very touching message) on him!

And that SUCKS!

(uh oh, i forgot about Olly and his terrible terrible motive to be evil)

Speaking of Olly! Remember when I said he wasn't well written? Well besides being an evil prick who enjoys messing with the heroes (i dont mind that, evil just to be evil is fine), it sorta randomly just comes up that he hates Toads near the end! It just comes up!

And I THINK it was suppose to be hinted at by the fact all the Toads gets attacked and folded by Paper Macho and Folded Soldiers. But my problem with this is:

1. Would they have been daring as making Folded Toads as enemies? Thus the lack of Folded Toad enemies should've hinted at this

2. The enemies were origami version of Mario enemies! So enemies still being enemies but folded would've just strengthen the fact we'd be fighting bowser minions again, making the previous Toad hint moot.

3. Toads have always been in peril in previous PM games so the fact they're in peril again wouldn't have been a point of interest!

I GUESS the fact Folded Peach specifically asks whether Toads should be silenced could've hinted at this, but people just took it as "hah lol Toads annoying" and not "oh, this villain has a thing against toads~". Its just, who else would the villain have pointed out? There's only Toads here! Maybe if there was a bigger variety of npcs and we saw other npcs either becomes folded soldiers or be spared from the folded attack, we could've wondered "hey, why are only the toads getting stuck in places?"

But we don't!

Anyways, huff! Lemme count all the good, spoilery things in the game (that's not in Chapter 2) to end on a good note

I love how Olivia is so sweet, no one could bring themselves to be mean to her (except Olly), even Kamek has a hard time being mean cause she's so bubbly and caring (except for that weird bit in the forest where Kamek had to be all rivalry about it but I digress)

Bowser backtalking Olly was very funny, I loved it a lot!

The fact Olivia asks Olly to come to his senses before Mario smashed his face with the Olivia hammer (i need to specify this cause otherwise it'll look like Mario interrupted this scene with a hammer smash but no, Olivia fully knew her hammer weight was gonna fall on Olly's face and just gave some last words of pleas before not even letting him respond) I loved that.

I liked how sweet Olivia was to Luigi despite how much he kept screwing up (i forgot to rant about that but tl;dr, he's a bit of a buffoon and its a bit annoying) i thought it was very touching how Olivia kept rooting for him regardless.

The Tape talking like a Gangster was actually really funny, I liked that a lot.

Bowser's pep talk to Olivia was very funny, it was basically "dont be sad, look at me, my muscles are massive and I can punch through walls!"

As jarring as they were, I actually liked a lot of the singing and dancing that occurred through the game.

Olly having his own color scheme for his Vellumental forms was super cool!

The ending was really touching. Olivia wished for all of Olly's creations to be undone, and because you find out in Chapter 4 that she's also a creation of Olly, she is undone too. And they don't spell that out! You just find out she's not around and connect the dots. I think that was very well done.

And these are some of several reasons I liked TOK and why I couldn't rate it lower than 6. It has a lot of things that just doesn't live up to Chapter 2 and its disappointing to realize halfway through that the game peaked in Chapter 2. Its so weird, they showed us how good it can be and then never lives up to the expectationd set by Chapter 2. I wish it did

i honestly liked her ruthlessness. she wasn’t messing around, she was always to the point, and like, i know the thieves thought her messed up for being so cutthroat, but like... as an older sibling that was foisted with duties that no one should’ve handled but had to do it anyway at a young age... i get it. add in the fact that she’s in an extremely competitive and sexist industry, and i’m just... yeah. understandable. i mean i def do not condone her rigging justice to uphold a shit system while condemning innocent people. but her obsession, her competitiveness and her stubbornness in making her own way-- that’s admirable, even if it’s pretty flawed. idk, i just. really liked her anger. which is odd because i usually don’t care for that. but in a game where a lot of the female characters portray anger in only small portions, or in cutesy attractive ways instead of pure fury that’s ugly-- Sae’s is something i find refreshing.

did not like how she was suddenly “uwu i guess i was wrong and y’all were justified.” i mean, i get it, it’s just atlus’ misogyny rising once again-- but GOD. i like that she realized that she was going too far in her corrupt justice, that’s fair. her helping protag escape-- that’s her doing the right thing, and again, good. but her anger and frustration and resentment at the system, her family, and her job was all very real and tangible grievances seen irl japanese culture today-- but hey, let’s just. sweep that under the rug. despite this game being about rebellion and a (i’ll admit, piss-poor) critique about how society operates.

favorite line

i can’t find the line atm, but her line where she tells the protag how she’s a defense attorney now, and that he shouldn’t be influenced by terrible/corrupt adults-- that’s a good line. it was really indicative to her new resolution in changing the system a step at a time, this time pursuing true justice instead of her rigged cheats. it was really hopeful, and while yeah, the game’s message fluctuated and messed up at times, i think her line... cinched it in a way that was good. it really hammered home that the phantom thieves were done-- but now for sure for serious, it was the time for adults to actually step up to fix shit-- as it should’ve been, instead of justice being in the hands of teenagers that were forced to grow too soon.

Sae/Goro is my insta-fave. idk, it’s really endearing to see goro try to bond with her, asking for sushi and kinda pouting about it-- and Sae’s just, even though she’s a cold workaholic, she’s still kinda looking out for him, keeping up with the bond-- more so than her bond with Makoto, which, ouch. were it not for the manipulated double-spy working for an evil megalomaniac kinda deal, i honestly think their bond would’ve flourished really well (adopt goro into the Niijima household PLEASE)

in my sojiro post, i also mentioned liking the possibility of a sojiro/sae/haru friendship, since all three have similar motivations/backgrounds that led to their circumstances. i think it’d just be neat to see them interacting with each other lol

me/sae jk i honestly am digging the Sae/Ohya pairing. i know Sae/Tae is the fandom favorite and i GET it, but....c’mon....two disillusioned women that were screwed over by the system, life circumstances, and jobs, taking opposite paths in dealing with it? Ohya with her drinking and lackadaisical attitude hiding what really plagues her underneath (her grief about not knowing the secret government conspiracy that took out her friend thriller story), and Sae’s fixation in throwing herself into work, becoming ruthless and cold as she thinks victory will mean everything, despite her own barely addressed grief right underneath (her having to handle her father’s death and the arrangements, and being forced into a necessary parental role for Makoto).... hoooo boy. i think they’d detest one another at first. Ohya’s too irresponsible, Sae’s too uptight, they’d grate at each other... but their similar cores... is what will... bring them to the middle... Ohya’s relaxed atmosphere softening up Sae while Sae’s strict discipline will have Ohya standing up to do shit, like. ok this has gotten too long lmaoooo i’m trying to sell this ship and i do so gleefully

on the Arc V fandom

i hope y’all realize by now that whenever my friends and i talk about what a fucking circus this fandom is we’re not really even exaggerating like it’s been over 2 years since the fucking show has been over and we still get these basic ass bitches in our asks, replies, comments, reblogs, tweets, art, fics, content, fucking smoke signals, etc. yelling at us that we HAVE to agree with them about how “bad” arc v was even though, ironically, they claim we’re “deluded” for just enjoying the show for what it is (not even for our fucking headcanons, lmao) and showing our love for it in a harmless, wholesome manner.

we can’t discuss any critique we may have about the show in public without them immediately using that to claim “YEAH THAT’S WHY IT SUCKED/WAS A TRAINWRECK”. like bitch i would love to discuss those flaws but just because i recognize it has flaws DOESN’T mean i hated it, or it sucked, or (jfc) it was “problematic” (btw, wtf are you guys even talking about with arc v being “problematic”?? if you seriously believe arc v was problematic, i got some real bad news for you about lots of pop culture media and classic literature, not that y’all read anyway).

i’ve been harassed countless numbers of times in this fandom: anon hate, stalking (yeah, stalking. ikr!), name calling, threats, call outs, someone made a fucking throwaway account just to attack me about my opinion of a certain character’s development in the ending (i laugh at this one cuz i knew who they were right away just from reading their shit rant at me), someone called me a “crazy stupid yuya fan” (this one doesn’t really offend me cuz it’s true tbh, but it was still aggressive lmao), etc. god there’s a myriad of other things i can list. and that’s just me. i’ve seen my close friends i made in this fandom also receive threats, anon hate, call outs, etc. and collectively some of us have even been directly called “deluded” or a “cancer to this fandom” simply for expressing our opinions about enjoying this show...

or rather, i think i should say, that we’ve been harassed and called all these things simply because we don’t fall into the peer pressure/groupthink campaign that has infected a majority of this fandom because the loudest group in this fandom wants to obligate the fandom as a whole to believe that because arc v’s narrative didn’t align with their headcanons, therefore arc v was bad. the most ironic part of their insistance is the fact that, when faced with opposition of their point of view, they attempt to defend (and many times even victimize themselves) with statements that claim we shouldn’t invalidate their opinions, when in fact they have not a single ounce of evidence that we’ve ever done so. how? because we realize they can dislike the show or how it ended and we can stay in our lane about it, knowing we disagree, and move on with our lives because it’s just not worth our time.

edit: “it’s not groupthink/peer pressure, it’s the truth!” stfu, yes it is. if i could count the number of times i’ve seen people admit to me and my friends privately and publicly the fact that they’re AFRAID to say they liked arc v or that arc v is their favorite the number would be sadly large. that’s LITERALLY the definition of groupthink— when you’ve created an environment toxic enough that people are forced to say things like “well i dont necessarily agree with them [about arc v being bad] but ahaha i guess? / for the record i loved arc v but [creates meme that shits on arc v for the likes] / sometimes i’m afraid to admit arc v was my favorite” then you know you guys are full of toxic, peer pressure-y shit. fuck off for creating this sentiment in the fandom.

Opinion on the end game hate so spoilers...

Let’s be honest here, y’all still living in 2017 thinking ragnarok is the coolest thing ever when in reality the more u watch that movie the more corny it becomes. It’s just mindless fun. The movie has the same story that black panther but u wouldn’t even notice cause everything is played so casually and the characters dont react accordingly for the sake of punchlines and what not. There’s no drama in a movie where Thor loses the hammer, the father, the sister, the freedom, the place he grew up in....

People mad about Thor in end game just shows they prefer fun over good writing. The only reason Thor was his ragnarok self in infinity war after losing everything was because of his hope to kill thanos and avenge everything he lost. But then when he does kill thanos its after he failed the first time killing him resulting in more lost life’s than the ones he was already sad about

And so he finally loses it and becomes the drunk man we saw, trying to forget but never quite being able to. Stop acting like taika wasn’t involved in his character arc. This all fits together perfectly and as sad as it was to watch it was the only way Thor’s character could have gone after losing more than everything

Also the line when tony dies “u can rest now” doesn’t mean “your trauma only ends when u die” but rather “ u have been sleepless and afraid this would happen, you worked non stop to prevent it from happening, you worked non stop to save everyone, everyone is safe at last, there’s no more fighting, you did all you could and it was enough, the fight has ended, you can go home”

Stop acting like the actors had no say in the fate of characters they have played for more than 5,6,7 movies or what not

Stop trying to twist what really happened to justify u being mad at the movie, just say u wanted them all to eat shwarma at the end with everyone safe and sound with no changes or bold choices made. About Steve, people using the line “sometimes the best we can do is to start over” to justify why him doing what he did is bad but like if he had did that then he wouldn’t have even tried to bring the dead back. He would have just started over. Also Steve has had to deal with enough bullshit. He was weak kid who just didn’t like bullies and wanted to help, then a dancing monkey, then a guy just wanting to fight for what’s right and just, then a man who slept for 70 years missing all good that life had for him if he had returned from that mission, then a soldier, then a guy not knowing if he’s fighting for what’s right and blah blah. The point being he when to live his live, the life he deserved, the life both him and Peggy had wanted. I know this is super confusing because time travel but it will make more sense after the rewatches. Also few people watched the agent carter series but even in winter soldier you understand that she would have wanted a life with him. She just had to move on but if she had the option to stay with him she would have and she did. Steve didn’t just barge in her life without explaining her what happened

About Natasha.... fuck.... i love her. I was so not expecting this. But then again it fits. Clint had a many faults and sins to atone for but so did she. He had kids to take care of and bring back, her sacrifice was a beautiful one, i loved their friendship so much I totally regretbeing mad at age of ultron for giving him a family. They work so well has bffs. The only thing i agree with is that she could have been more mourned. Like they did to tony.

I saw people mad at what they did to Wanda and like of course in a perfect universe she would have gotten vision back but that makes no sense whatsoever. He didn’t die of the snap and its something she will have to go through. She beat the shit out of thanos as a compensation audit was so satisfying. Also that talk she had at the end.... and its not like this is her last movie. Some characters are not done for this movie and so they didn’t needed that closure others got.

I really believe the movie did what was needed and not wanted. It took many risks and they all payed of. No character had a bad ending, maybe a sad one but also fitting

This is what will make end game stand above other super hero movies. They didn’t just win the fight to go home.

I’m just sad its over, but thank you russos for the winter soldier, civil war, infinity war and end game. Easily the best marvel movies along with the guardians. I know this isn’t a popular opinion within the fandom but these movies really feel so superior to me above all the others, i dont know what i see in them that others dont

25 Days of Christmas Masterlist

You sat at the table in the library, reading a book about demigods when Dean entered the room. "You ready to go? Long day ahead of us," Dean stopped at the end of the table.

You moved your head towards Dean slowly but kept your eyes locked on the words in the book, trying to finish the paragraph.

It took a few moments of awkward silence and weird looks from Dean before you finished the paragraph, tossed the bookmark in and slammed the book shut. "Alright, let's go," you got up and started walking towards him.

Dean's eyebrows were knitted together as he stood in place, he raised one eyebrow and leaned over to read the book title. Dean nodded slowly to himself before turning around and leaving the room.

Sam met up with you two shortly after you got bundled up to leave. Dean led the way up the stairs, you and Sam following.

You all reached the top of the stairs and waited as Dean opened the door, but instead of being greeted by a magical, cold, winter-wonderland, you were greeted by a wall of snow. You three stood there staring at the snow, not one ounce of light coming through it. You all stood in silence as you contemplated what you should do.

"So, who want's to touch it?" You spoke first.

"Don't touch it! It could collapse and all that snow would come in here," Dean stood in front of the wall of snow.

"But it would be so satisfying," you reached towards the snow but Dean smacked your hand away. Sam laughed at you two.

"Okay, if it isn't gone by tonight then we can touch it," Dean suggested. You and Sam both nodded in agreement. "Good. Now, let's go check the weather," Dean shut the door and walked down the steps. As you three walked down you started taking off the layers of clothing you piled on.

Dean sat at the table in the library and opened his laptop, you stood behind him, looking over his shoulder.

You were completely oblivious when Sam slowly moved the neck of your jacket and dropped a few ice cubes down it. You screamed at the sudden cold and started running around to get the ice out. Sam laughed so hard he almost started crying while Dean was trying to figure out what Sam did.

As you ran around the room, you left a small trail of ice cubes. You finally felt relief when the last one fell out of your jacket. You walked over to Sam and started slapping his arm as he laughed.

He put his arm around your shoulder and you both walked over to Dean who had the weather pulled up. "Looks like it's just going to get colder throughout the day, which means the snow won't melt," Dean leaned back in his chair.

You smiled and looked at Sam, "Does this mean..." You said faintly.

"I think it does," Sam replied. You bolted out of the room, grabbing your coat, hats, and gloves on your way.

"Wait!" Dean yelled, causing you to stop halfway up the stairs. "Our deal still stands, you have to wait 'till tonight to touch it," Dean stood up and walked into the war room.

Your shoulders slouched as you walked back down the stairs, taking your hat off and throwing it onto the table. "Fine," you said grudgingly. "What are we gonna do 'till then?"

"We could play some board games," Sam suggested. You nodded in agreement.

It's been a few hours. Sam is teaching you how to play chess while Dean scrolls aimlessly on his laptop.

"Why can't the horse dude go here?" You picked up said 'horse dude.'

"Because it can only move here, here, and here," Sam pointed to various places.

"But horses can go a lot farther than that," you poked at the rules.

"Y-..." Sam took a deep breath.

"Whoa there, Sammy, just messin' with you," you grinned and moved the Knight.

You moved on from chess and started tossing a football with Dean while Sam read.

"I'm just sayin', sometimes classic rock just isn't the best type of music," you threw the ball to Dean who looked personally offended.

"How dare you? Classic rock is better than all that crap nowadays," Dean threw the ball back to you.

"I will admit, a lot of it is crap, but you can't say that classic rock is better," you replied, throwing the ball to him.

Dean caught the ball with ease, "I am not having this conversation with you," Dean looked over at Sam who merely shrugged. "What time is it anyway?"

Sam looked at his watch, "Five past eight,"

"I do believe that it is now the end of the day," you walked over to Dean with your hands behind your back. "It's time," Dean merely rolled his eyes and watched you trot away to get bundled up.

You came back into the war room and found your brothers talking and waiting for you. They followed you up the stairs and waited as you opened the door to see the wall of snow still there.

You smiled as you backed up as far as you could, which wasn't that far. You put your arms in front of your face, ran and lept into the snow. You felt the coldness surround you. You opened your eyes to see nothing. You started moving around when finally, your head popped out of the snow. You looked behind you and saw your brothers staring at you with big smiles on their faces.

Silence filled the air for a moment before you muttered, "I'm cold," you flipped over and reached your hands out, your brothers laughed and each grabbed a hand to help you up and get you warm.
