Bad Feeling for no discernable reason

It's 1 AM, but I wonder if it'll ever be addressed about how Patton (and Roman too to a lesser extent) don't get check ins. Like, Analogical check in all the time to see if the other is comfortable or if they need to step back, but with Patton they just... don't. Unless he's incredibly (and visibly) alarmed, they'll ignore his feelings or objections.

Like, Moving On was Logan's fault for not adequately checking in with Patton. He expressly pushed into Patton's room when he was uncomfortable (even going so far as to talk over his objections and coerce him with guilt and manipulative tactics (tho that's a convo for another time)), before blaming Patton for the situation Logan caused. It would've been okay if Logan just checked in, and stopped before they went into the room in the first place.

Same with POF, in some ways. Patton was obviously stressed out and looking for someone to help him, and Logan both verbally and literally attacked him. Patton even asked for Logan to help him outright, and the other basically completely steamrolled any hope of gaining any comfort from the other side. Patton felt threatened and he needed to stop the situation, and so when Janus gave him the out, he took it. If Logan had paused and checked in, he would've seen that Patton needed something else at that moment, and it's likely LilyPadton would've never come to be.

I just think it's something that's not been discussed in series yet, and the closest we have is Growing Up, but that clearly was not enough of a discussion on why they should be checking in with Patton. And since Virgil's no longer advocating for Patton (again, another convo for another time), he's been left to weather through the problems without the ability to take a break or drown in them. I'm just hoping Janus can manage to give him an out in the finale and advocate for Patton, since the others refuse to let him advocate for himself.

Hi!! Yes I'm alive. Not to disappear for six months it's just that literally everything has gone horribly wrong and never stops going horribly wrong so I've been more focused on not swallowing razor blades than being goofy on the internet.

At this point I can't say when or if I'll come back to this blog on any sort of regular basis but I wanted to pop on and leave some sign of life because I know y'all love to throw funerals for me when I'm gone for 5 minutes.

I hope everyone's summer is going well and none of you are breaking any records for natural disasters or crazy weather or dead relatives or community tragedies! Maybe next summer it will be my turn!!

Oh and I hope Dan and Phil are still out there. I truly couldn't tell you if they even still exist. I have reached phannie sobriety completely by accident. Wishing them both violent diarrhea ❤️

How to distinguish backgrounds and keep them from muddy-ing and blending in with characters, and ways to draw landscapes and trees and bushes. Colour for bgs I feel like I've gotten better at too

It also made me realise how much I hecking love drawing backgrounds. Like, they're a lot of work yeah. But darn do I enjoy it

That New Management AU setup where the manager unleashes hell by accident and just keeps passing management responsibilities onto Roxy is pretty interesting really.

I mean, where's the line? At what point are the animatronics able to make the big decisions? How do you make that transition from "just keep things going" to "I'm in charge now bitch"?

I've been thinking, and it's probably a situation where like. The health and safety manager comes to her asking for the budget. This poor guy has no funding, their job has had so many corners cut it's turned into a circle so it's just this one guy that has to restock the first aid stations on a budget of pocket lint and peanuts now. Comes up to Roxy, frustrated with being sent to her five times now for money she obviously doesn't have since she's an animatronic, and they both end up complaining about how fucking annoying the manager is.

Roxy has to barge in the manager's office with the health and safety manager to make them hand over the budget for it. The health and safety guy complains because what do you mean they've cut their budget again?! They can't cover everything as it is!

She turns to the manager like "you're making cuts on health and safety?" and gets the scoop on how they have to keep working with basically nothing and that these cuts are the reason some parents are being charged for a bandage with Monty's face on it. She's honestly so shocked at how little she has to say before the manager fucking triples the health and safety budget on the spot and promises they'll work out the rest of it later.

It's in that moment, Roxy realises she has power. Actual power.

After some time to process this and talk to her friends about it, she walks into that office again and asks for the finance stuff. Within the hour, she has all the information she needs (and doesn't understand) in order to push for some real ass changes and there you have it!

The animatronics can do whatever the fuck they want now! Hooray!

you've probably explained this before but how did you decide on may 2nd for belle's birthday? i believe the closest thing there is to an "official" birthday for the animated belle at least is this one book called disneystrology that has a bunch of disney character birthdays and it says may 6th for her, but i honestly doubt that much thought was put into it (after all, it literally has a different character for every single day of the year in it) so i sort of just ignore that book and come up with my own headcanons haha. also, when do you think adam's birthday is?

honestly purely based on vibes lmao. she’s such a sunny gal to me so i knew it had to be in spring/summer. and for whatever reason, may 2nd just sounded right!! i genuinely cannot believe i’m not even that far off from that book LMAO. i’ve never heard of that but that is a fun little thing!

adam’s birthday is august 26th! this was also just based on vibes. it contrasts my other vibe detector, because i don’t think anyone really considers adam to be a “summer” kind of guy, lol. but i don’t know! when i was thinking about what his birthday should be, that’s where my mind landed! i know my synesthesia plays a role in birthday hunting. “august” and “adam” are both mostly the color red, and 26 is red & yellow. and adam is like, red and the d is yellow. this sounds insane maybe but that’s what’s going on in my head!!

i’d say the color thing has chosen Most of my birthdays. like for adam & belle’s children and my other oc’s. but sometimes it’s just… where my mind lands. belle’s father maurice’s birthday is february 8th for literally no reason other than yeah! that’s when his birthday is! i think lore just gets downloaded in my head like an automatic microsoft windows desktop update.
