I just saw the monster fucker Saru x Monster Yata ask and it just reminded me of that fanart of centaur Yata on twt. Any thoughts?
….I don’t know if I’ve seen that fan art and it seems relevant to my interests O^O Imagine this with Yata getting hit by like the centaur Strain, suddenly he’s half horse and Kusanagi is having to rethink his ban on horses in the bar. Say this is post-ROK and Fushimi and Yata were out chasing the Strain together, once Yata’s hit he’s all struggling to stand with his sudden extra feet and Fushimi’s just snickering because this isn’t time for horsing around Misaki. Yata’s all shut up and help me stand, Fushimi notes that baby foals learn to stand quickly, is Yata less intelligent than a foal. On the bright side Yata is now taller than Fushimi, Fushimi clicks his tongue and says if he wants to sleep in S4’s stables tonight they have room.
Yata eventually manages to stumble into the bar, he almost breaks something and Kusanagi has to politely turn him out. The Homra guys find this pretty funny though, wondering if they should call him Basashi now. Chitose makes a joke about Yata ‘giving Fushimi a ride’ and Yata just stares blankly as the Homra guys all laugh, like I mean I guess he could fit on my back and he’s not that heavy. Chitose just tells him to think about it more, and notes that Fushimi did throw his jacket over Yata’s horse half like a blanket (Yata probably ended up naked after getting hit so he’s put his own spare sweatshirt over his human half). Yata’s like yeah he told me not to take this off, I don’t get why, and everyone is like probably so you don’t traumatize anyone walking around half naked. Yata suddenly realizes that his horse half actually does have, uh, a lot showing, and he gets all red as he pulls Fushimi’s coat lower over his back half.
He can’t go back to his apartment for the night due to the stairs so he does probably end up in S4, not in Fushimi’s room (the dorms aren’t really horse-friendly) but they find like an empty storage room by the barn and stick a mattress in it for him. Fushimi comes by to bring him dinner and they’re just chatting, Yata keeps giving Fushimi little looks because he’s wondering if Fushimi did give him the jacket on purpose. Fushimi tries to take his jacket back and Yata’s like ‘no! I mean, uh…it’s fine…’, super red in the face. Fushimi rolls his eyes all it’s nothing I haven’t seen before idiot, Yata’s like well it’s a lot bigger than I’ve had before. The moment he says it he gets all embarrassed and slaps his hand over his mouth, Fushimi gets this amused look like is that so. He leans in for a kiss and Yata’s like wait we can’t do this when I’m half centaur, Fushimi says they’re far enough away from the rest of the squad that no one will hear them. Yata suddenly finds his mouth very dry as he returns the kiss, he did not expect this to be a thing Fushimi would be into but now he’s having thoughts and it’s making him feel very hot all of a sudden.

a script reading (pre-Mankai)
Oneshot
Fushimi Omi & Nachi, original characters
also on AO3!
Summary
“Okay,” Nachi drawls, slipping off of his bike in one go.
He looks everyone over. “I’ve got you here today to hear part of my script reading. If you like it, you can tell me. If you don’t like it, then you can run before we catch you.”
The Wolves behind him flash their teeth at that, grinning.
The Mad Fox could throw a punch. The rival gang didn’t think he could deliver lines, too.
Dai’s running like he’s never run before.
Like how his friends warned, stepping on the Wolves’ turf was a terrible idea.
The streets in Tokyo are lit yellow, blue, and red that evening, but they’re blurred in Dai’s eyes. The river beside them, separated from the road by a fence, flows quietly, masking nothing. Dai can hear himself panting, the stomps of his team following behind him. His boots slip on the asphalt and he’s lucky to catch himself.
What was their leader even gonna say once she heard about this?
Dai whips his head around frantically. His other members’ eyes are wide with fear. They’re stuck.
They all turn a corner to lose the people chasing them, heaving.
They’ve covered enough ground, he thinks, until he hears screeches from tires and hoots from their rival gang. Amid the chorus of their engines revving, some of them mimic wolves’ howls, whooping with laughter as they skid to a stop.
They’ve caught up.
One of the Wolves’ leaders, Nachi, laughs the loudest.
He takes off his helmet and sets it aside, boasting a shock of bright green hair. He stands out from most of his gang, members dark-haired and dressed in leathers.
Dai backs up until he sticks to a brick wall, crinkling with posters and dried gum. Some of his teammates still stand, while others are startled into falling.
“We’re not scared of you,” one of them says. “Our leader’s gonna know any minute now. She runs this part of town.”
“Really? What’s her name?” Nachi asks, tilting his head to the side.
"Chiyo—"
“Ah. Say, Omi, didn’t we break her arm here a week ago?”
Dai and his friends gulp.
One of the taller members slides off his bike and ambles to where Nachi stands. Next to Nachi’s bright hair and smiling face, this guy looks plain besides his build. He scowls at Dai and the rest.
“I remember.”
The taller one, who Dai assumes is Omi, looks at his partner, frowning.
“What did you wanna do?”
"Try something new, that’s all.”
His voice rings out as the gang gawks at him in confusion.
Nachi reaches into his jacket and takes out a printed-out script, clearing his throat.
“A monologue from As You Like It, by William Shakespeare. Act two, scene seven, line one hundred thirty-nine."
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
Nachi takes two steps forward. The other members scramble further away, their backs pressed to the wall behind them.
Nachi’s gestures and position change as he speaks. He brings his arms out during certain phrases.
“They have their exits and their entrances,”
He controls his voice with ease, shifting his facial expressions and moving from one word to another.
“And one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.”
In the minutes that pass, it happens smoothly, like he’s practiced it many times before.
"Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything."
"...Last scene of all, that ends this strange eventful history, is second childishness and mere oblivion,"
He swipes at his face.
Dai's friends look on, but Nachi doesn’t say anything more.
“So? How was that?”
Everyone else looks like they’re stunned into silence.
“Nachi! That was awesome!” yells a silver-haired boy to Nachi’s left.
“Thank you, Ryo,” he says before he smirks at Dai's friends.
“Well? Any feedback?”
They’re quiet.
“No?” Nachi mutters, raising a brow that makes them flinch.
One of Dai’s fellow members pretends to cough.
“Your emotions were nice, I guess.”
What the hell was going on?
“Okay, I’ll work on that. Anyone else?”
Nachi’s holding back a laugh.
“You kinda freaked me out during that last part," another member squeaks.
"Got it. It was intended, I’ll give you that."
No one talks.
Dai speaks up from his crouched spot by the wall.
"You could take some more pauses."
Nachi looks him dead in the eye. “What makes you think that?”
Dai swallows. “Makes it easier for us to get the story. I think.”
Nachi stuffs his hands into his pockets. “Alright. Thank you all for cooperating,” he calls out.
“Now, I’m going to count to three.”
He backs up until he’s in line with the other Wolves.
“If you’re not gone by then,” he chuckles, “well, you know what’s comin’.”
“One.”
Dai and his team shoot up.
“Two.”
They scatter in all directions.
“Three.”
Street’s empty.
Near midnight, the streets in Tokyo are still lit yellow, yellow, blue, and red, shining on two lumbering boys. No other Wolves or motorcycles in sight. One has a lollipop in his mouth; the other is silent. The river still masks nothing.
Still quiet, too, save for bikes’ engines.
Omi barks out a laugh, and the rest of them join in.
"Care to tell me what that was all about?" Omi asks.
Nachi takes a breath. “I just thought it would be interesting.”
“Huh?”
“If you do something different, people remember you,” he shrugs. “Plus the Wolves found it fun.”
“No, no. I get that.” Omi frowns.
“But you don’t just pull… speeches out of thin air like that. Things like this need a lot of effort.”
Nachi faces him, lollipop pinched between his fingers. “You’re right. They do.”
Nachi makes jazz hands at him. “Acting.”
“If word of me pulling that stunt comes out,” he continues, picking at his bracelet, “Then I’ll make sure people don’t come after them.”
Omi crosses his arms.
“‘S long as I’m here, no one lays a finger on the Wolves. Or on either of us. Listen, it’s not about rumors.”
Nachi doesn’t answer, so Omi stops walking.
“Hey.” Omi punches his shoulder.  “I’m serious. I won’t laugh at you if you’re into that stuff. The others won’t either.”
Nachi allows himself a wry smile and slings an arm around Omi’s shoulders.
“Well, I have your support. That counts for something.”
Omi beams at his best friend.
Trash cans clang from a nearby alley. The both of them come to a halt.
“Was that a cat?” Nachi asks.
Omi cocks his head to the side. “I don’t think so.”
Dai stumbles out from behind the wall, nursing a bruise where he must have hit a trash can. His eyes land on them.
“I... I was just on my way home,” he yelps, breath catching in his throat.
Omi squints. “How much did you hear?”
“Nothing. I swear.”
“Let me take care of him,” Nachi says, stepping forward and rolling his sleeve up.
“Nah.” Omi catches his friend's arm.
“He can send a message back to Chiyo.”
His voice is light, saying that, like he isn’t threatened in the slightest.
“Let me make this simple.” Omi sets his eyes down to Dai's level.
“Because I’m not an asshole, I'll let you go for now.”
Dai’s frozen in place.
“I take it your house isn’t far from here?”
Omi's face doesn't change as Dai nods, trying his best not to stammer.
“Try not to show your face around here again. Then we’re out of your hair.”
Dai tightens his jaw and runs off til he’s out of sight.
“Omi!! You gotta teach me how to do that sometime!”
Ryo runs up to them, catching his breath. Two, then three, then five more of the Wolves follow behind him on the road.
“I thought you all went home.”
Ryo wheezes. “We wanted to see you before heading back!”
Omi grimaces at that, rolling his eyes.
“Suit yourselves. I just don’t want you to start something stupid and then regret it.”
Ryo’s eyes sparkle. “Do you have more lollies?”
“What.”
Ryo smiles until Omi sighs and pats his pockets, searching for something, finally fishing out lollipops.
“It wouldn’t kill you to have a salad every once in a while.” Omi grunts, shaking his head. "If you idiots don’t take care of yourselves, I swear I'll—”
"You'll what?" Nachi teases.
His partner smirks. "I'll blow all your houses down."
"That was the lamest thing I've ever heard."
"Go jump in the river."
"If you ask nicely, maybe I will."
Nachi shouts an "OW!" as Omi shoves him.
The rest of the gang snickers.
“Where’d you learn to make those lollipops anyway?” Nachi asks.
“My mom taught me.”
Omi smiles, looking at them all. “I’ll see what I can do.”
“Oh.” Nachi purses his lips and pats his friend’s back. “Teach us how to make them?”
"I guess."
As the others crowd around them, Ryo tugs at Omi’s jacket.
“Nachi could do another one of those script things.”
“Script readings, Ryo.”
“Yeah, yeah!”

Could I request an Omi x female reader “how they met” headcanon? (Can be sfw and nsfw) thanks !
OKAY OKAY CAN WE JUST TALK ABOUT HOW PRECIOUS OMI IS FOR A SECOND! He is my 3rd best boi and I love him so much! Thank you for requesting the first SFW/NSFW A3! headcanon! I went all out just for you ^^. ENJOY!
OMI X FEM! READER: HOW THEY MET
Sfw
(Since Omi is a college student, it would only feel right that you guys met at college! Maybee….PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB!!)
You had been interested in the different clubs your school had to offer since it had been your first year in college. You had visited almost every club room, but none had sparked your interest.
You decide to take a break and grab a drink from a vending machine and that’s when you see him. A man with dark brown hair taking photos of the flowers that are in the garden. He smiles while putting his camera down to look at the scenery.
You stare in awe at his beauty (honestly who wouldn’t) and completely forget about getting a drink. He turns and sees you staring. He waves and walks over.
“Hey, my name is Omi. Are you interested in photography? I can tell you more about it!”
“Well, no not really, but I don’t have another club to join so I’ll hear you out.”
You guys spend 20 minutes talking about the club and about the types of photos he takes. He goes through his camera roll to show you some of his favorites.
“Omi…your pictures are so beautiful!” You smile. He laughs and asks if you are interested in joining. After seeing his work, you decide to join.
You spend every afterschool together going to different places shooting photographs. He teaches you how to use a camera and what the easiest pictures to take for beginners are.
Over time, he trusts you more and talks about his past and his scar, saying that he’s only told a couple of people. He also tells you about the acting troupe that he is in and how they just recently put on their first show. You listen to all his stories about how some guys in his troupe named Banri and Juza are always fighting and how Sakyo always has to break them up. He talks about Taichi, his roommate the most, and how he is like a younger brother to him.
After spending a lot of time together, you start to realize that these mini outings are kinda…like…DATES!? Ever since you had that realization, you started to develop feelings for him.
One time while walking together, he runs into what looks like one of his friends.
“Omimi! What’s up bro- OML ARE YOU WITH A GIRL?!” Kazunari shrieks.
“Ah yes, Y/N, this is my friend and fellow actor, Kazunari.” Omi points to Kazunari and smiles.
“Wow you’re gorgeous gal! A total babe. Is this your girl Omimi?” He laughs.
“Not yet hahaha. Anyways, we have to go take more photos for our assignment, so excuse us.” Omi waves as he nods at you to follow. You wave goodbye to Kazunari and walk next to Omi. You think to yourself about how quirky Kazunari is and then it hits you… OMI SAID NOT YET. You start to question your existence as Omi taps your arm. “Mind stopping at this park for a few? There’s something I want to show you.”
“Sounds good to me. Let’s go!” You say as calm as possible. You are freaking out on the inside as he leads you to the part of the park with a lot of flowers. He stops and stares at the flowers, just like the first time you met. You turn away from him and look at the flowers yourself. “Omi, they are absolutely gorgeous!” You beam.
“Not as beautiful as…you,” Omi whispers as he turns to you. “Um…Y/N. This may be sudden but I…I like you. I really like you. Even though you know about my troubled past, you continue to stay by my side everyday. Thank you for that. You don’t have to say anything if you don’t feel ready, but I thought it would be wrong to hide my feelings any longer.” Omi scratches the back of his head and blushes. You grin and grab one of his hands.
“Of course I like you, you big doof! I’m so glad I finally got that off my chest. Ahh that feels nice,” You sigh. “Since we both like each other…AHEM…Will you, Omi Fushimi, go out with me?” You grab his other hand and swing it a bit.
“Of course I, Omi Fushimi, will go out with you!” He chuckles as he squeezes your hand.
AND THAT’S HOW YOU AND MOMMY OMI STARTED DATING! NOW FOR THE FBJHBWE PART…
Nsfw
After a few weeks of dating, he introduced you to everyone at Mankai. They instantly fell in love with you, and call you dad since you are dating mama Omi XD.
Fast forward a couple of months and you are almost always in the dorms. On your free days, you relax at the dorm and watch tv with the boys while snuggling with Omi.
One day, you decide you want to spend your time cuddling with Omi. You walk into the dorm, say hi to everyone, and walk to his room. You knock and hear footsteps. Your boyfriend opens the door and gives you a big hug.
“Omi! I missed you.”
“It’s only been a couple of hours honey haha.” He laughs as he strokes your head. You pout and tell him that you want to cuddle all day. He happily agrees and lies down in his bed, holding his arms out to you.
You take his camera and lay down next to him. He grabs your waist and pulls you closer to his body. You can feel his soft breathing on your neck. Your body begins to tingle, so to take your mind off of it, you go through his camera roll. After scrolling for a few seconds, you see a picture of Izumi cooking what looks like to be curry. You smile as you look at the photo.
“I can take photos of you too…but these photos will be ‘extra special’` if you know what I mean.” Omi whispers as he pulls you even closer.
“Omi! You pervert!!” You kick your boyfriend’s leg as he starts to tickle your sides. You burst out in laughter and try to push him away.
“BABE STOP!” You try to yell but can hardly get any words out. You both twist and turn for what seems like forever until he somehow ends up on top of you. He facial expression turns serious and you shiver for a second.
“Everything okay sweetheart?” You reach your arm up to stroke Omi’s face. He leans into your touch and peacefully sighs. He closes his eyes for a couple of seconds and opens his lips to talk, and then closes them. He looks like he is struggling to find the words to say, but you can guess what is on his mind.
“Hey Omi…I’ve been thinking. We’ve been dating for 5 months-”
“5 months and 8 days.” Omi corrects.
“Ah right, 5 months and 8 days! As I was saying, we have been together for quite a while and I think we are ready to take the next step.”
Omi grabs your hand and intertwines it with his hand.
“Y/N, are you sure? I don’t want you to feel obligated to do this. If you want to wait, I would wait as long as you need.”
“I’m sure love. You are the only one for me. I’m 100% ready.”
Omi smiles at your words. He slowly leans down to your lips and kisses you gently. They start off as little pecks, then turn into a full makeout session. While he is kissing you, he starts rubbing your waist softly.
As you two part lips, Omi takes off both his and your shirt and trails little kisses down your neck. You quietly moan as he travels down to your chest. With a little help, he unclamps your bra.
“Baby,” Omi breath starts to get heavier. “You’re so beautiful.” He lightly kisses your nipples and his hands reach down to take off your shorts. You moan louder, signaling for him to continue.
He takes off your panties and rubs his finger over you slit. “Wow honey, it looks like you are ready and I barely did anything. You are so perfect for me.” He teased.
He releases your nipple from his mouth and sits up. He rubs your slit with more force. You arch your back and whimper. He removes his finger and takes off his pants and underwear, revealing his hard member. He puts on a condom and aligns it with your entrance.
“Love, are you sure you are ready? We can stop here if you want. I don’t want to push you.” Omi worries as he looks at you with loving eyes.
“I-I don’t think I can wait any longer” You plead. Seeing you in that state, he knows that your body is ready for him. He slowly sinks his member into you.
You wince at his size and bite your lower lip. “Are you okay?” Omi waits to hear your answer before moving. You nod your head and he begins to move. At first it is painful, but after a couple of seconds, you start to feel pleasure. You cover your mouth with your hands to stop the moans from coming out. Omi notices and reaches for your hand.
“Honey, don’t cover your mouth. I want to hear your gorgeous voice call out for me.” He speeds up his movement, making you moan even louder.
“O-Omi, faster.” You stuttered. He groaned and moved even faster.
“Baby, you f-feel amazing…I’m close…” Omi grunts.
“Me t-too. Let’s cum together.” You manage to whisper. Omi starts to slow down and releases inside of you. You grip the bed sheets and release at the same time.
“Y/N…You were amazing baby. Are you alright? Does it hurt?” Omi asks you while pulling out and taking the condom off. He lays down on you and hugs you tightly.
“I’m alright Omi, really I am. I do feel kind of sweaty. I don’t think I can move though.” You giggle a bit. You wrap your arms around him and kiss his forehead.
“I’ll get us dressed and wash you up in the bathhouse. How does that sound?”
“That sounds great Omi. I-I love you.” You blush.
“I love you too Y/N. I really do.” Omi smiles and picks you up to get dressed.
JBHWUHJVDE I BASICALLY WROTE A WHOLE STORY I’M SO SORRY. I GOT WAY TO INTO IT. OMI IS SUCH A MOM I-. Anyways I really hope you enjoyed and request again! I had so much fun! (Fanfic) Set in Stone - Chapter Fourteen
Title: Set in Stone
Pairing: Sarumi
Chapter: 14/18
Rating: M
Mirrors: AO3 | Website
Summary: Yata wasn’t sure what he was expecting when he performed a summon on his own in a fit of drunken loneliness. It definitely wasn’t some asshole demon with a bad attitude, even if that demon happened to be frustratingly hot. But breaking their contract was going to mean working together, and he wasn’t sure how much of that he could take before he snapped… one way or another.
Note: Thank you to @dropletons for being my beta and to @chromekins for helping with the magic aspect. This fic is not entirely accurate in terms of modern magic and the demon lore was basically made up to suit the story, but I tried to keep somewhat of an authentic feel, so hopefully that succeeded.
The neighborhood they settled in that evening was completely different from Yata’s childhood home. It was residential and the streets were lined with houses, but that was about as far as the similarities went. The streets were wide and meticulously kept, the houses were large and opulent, and there were no schools or playgrounds in sight. Despite being built closely to one another, the houses seemed to have more sprawl to them; in general, they took up way more space.
The house they settled on – the one that Fushimi led him to without hesitation, exactly as Yata had done earlier – was clearly the right one, based on the intensity of the moon’s energy. It was also huge even by the neighborhood’s standards, taking up nearly half of the city block on its own. The roof was flat and lined with a decorative railing, so it was easy to settle on. The house itself had a dull, empty feel to it, though; despite not being able to tell for certain from their position, Yata felt instinctively that nobody lived in it, and hadn’t for quite some time.
Why, though? Isn’t this a huge waste…
Fushimi clicked his tongue as if reading Yata’s thoughts, retracting his wings and reaching into his pocket with sharp motions. “She should just sell it already,” he muttered, without meeting Yata’s gaze. “It’s pointless to leave it like this.”
If he thought he was gonna get away with that, he had another think coming. “Who’s ‘she’?”
“The woman who owns it.” Fushimi clicked his tongue again, glancing at Yata with almost unfriendly eyes. “Were you assuming I was going to spill my life story just because you happened to share yours?”
Yata scowled back, more annoyed by the attitude than surprised. “I thought I’d hear you out since you did it for me, but if you’re gonna be a dick, forget it.” Still, there was one piece in what he’d just said… “But I guess since you mentioned it, that means this place is somehow involved in your ‘life story’, huh?”
Fushimi blinked at him, expression settling into a mildly perturbed look – and then abruptly sighed. “Your instincts can be really annoying sometimes,” he murmured, and clicked his tongue again. “Fine. This is the house I lived in when I was growing up.”
That was not the answer he’d expected. Yata stared back, struck dumb for a moment before he could recover. “Wha… ? The place where you – wait. Here?”
Fushimi shrugged, a tiny and somewhat jerky motion. “Until I was twelve,” he clarified blandly.
“Twelve?” On top of everything else, that threw him for even more of a loop – it was so young, but it implied he’d been there so long… Yata shook his head, struggling to make sense of it. “Wait – before that, how the hell…?” He made a frustrated noise, not finding the right words somehow. “Here?”
“I said so, didn’t I?”
“Fuck you!” Yata shot him a glare. “I mean, in this realm?”
“This house doesn’t exist anywhere else,” Fushimi responded dryly, raising an eyebrow to Yata’s incredulous look. “You don’t know much about demon offspring, I take it?”
“Why the hell would I?”
Fushimi ignored that exasperated protest, continuing as if there had been no interruption. “Most of the time, there aren’t any. It’s impossible for two demons to conceive in the first place.” He paused for a moment, regarding Yata critically. “It’d be too much of a pain to explain why, so just take my word for it that you need at least one human to get anywhere.”
That was a surprising enough fact to forestall most of his earlier annoyance. “Huh.” Yata frowned, letting that soak in, and then the scraps of information he’d been fed pieced together in his head. “Wait, so – does that mean – the woman who owns this place is…?”
Fushimi clicked his tongue. “Technically my mother, yes. I only saw her a few times while I lived here.” He turned his gaze again to fix it on the sunstone in his hand, frowning to himself. “In general, she’d only show up to argue with… that guy… about something or another. I don’t think we ever spoke directly.”
Yata wasn’t entirely sure what to do with that information. The situation was so weird that he couldn’t even start to piece together a reaction – and the fact that it had been stated so matter-of-factly was almost jarring to him. “Huh,” he said again, more out of a need to fill the silence than anything. ‘That guy’… It was an impersonal way to say it, but he’d called his mom ‘the woman’, so… “And your dad was a demon, right?”
Since he was watching so closely already, the subtle darkening of Fushimi’s expression was plain. “That should be obvious.”
“But he lived here with you?”
He got another sharp click of Fushimi’s tongue in response. “Why do you care? It has nothing to do with you.”
The tone was openly hostile, but Yata didn’t feel the usual rush of defensiveness. He furrowed his eyebrows, frowning back. “Why not? I wanna know more about you.” He snorted. “Not like you tell me a lot of things most of the time. Of course I’m curious.”
Fushimi’s frown deepened. He looked about to say something, and then hesitated, seeming to think better of it. “It won’t make a difference,” he mumbled, after a brief silence.
Unrestrained honesty brought the next words to his tongue; Yata didn’t even think twice before letting them out. “I still wanna hear it.” After a beat, he realized he might’ve been pushing too hard, and added with a sudden rush of chagrin, “I mean, if you’re okay with telling me.”
At that, Fushimi let out what sounded like a startled huff of laughter, and finally – finally – turned his gaze to meet Yata’s again. “Obviously I’m not,” he murmured, but the corners of his mouth were turning up almost ruefully even as he spoke. It was hard to place the look in his eyes, even with the light of the moon to help – it was something that might have been resignation or maybe relief, or some odd mix of the two. “But if you really want to know, fine. Just don’t complain when you realize how pointless it is to bring it all up.”
It was more relief than excitement that rushed through him in response; Yata relaxed, letting out a puff of breath, and grinned back. “You didn't bitch about me ‘pointlessly’ bringing my shit up – why would I bitch about yours?”
Fushimi clicked his tongue. “That's different.”
“Yeah, says who? You?” Yata shook his head. “Anyway, try me.” He braced his hands on his hips, thinking back to his earlier unanswered question. “So did your dad live here in this realm or...?”
“Not really.” Fushimi shrugged his shoulders again, eyeing Yata with his usual bland expression. That edge of wariness was still there, masked behind the indifference. “I think I already told you that demons can’t travel freely to this realm without a contract – and no contract with a regular human would last for twelve years.” He raised his eyebrow at that. “Not everyone's a changeling, after all.”
“Yeah, no shit.” Yata raised his own eyebrow in response. “So what was the deal, then?”
“The exact arrangement? Who knows.” The admission was light, drawled out. “They weren’t exactly all that forthcoming with me. Most of what I know, I figured out for myself. The rest is guesswork.” His eyes darkened again for a moment. “I couldn’t always trust the things that guy said anyway – he had a habit of making things up for the sake of getting a reaction.”
Lies for the sake of lying, huh? Yata frowned, finding a thread of instant animosity within him for Fushimi’s faceless dad. He didn’t like lies in the first place, but at least if there was a good reason, they could be excused. This, though... “He did that to his own kid?”
Fushimi snorted. “After what you told me today, you should know not everyone cares about that, right?”
Yeah, he knew it. Yata shut his eyes briefly against the echo of that word – ‘freak’ – and the furious face that went with it. Behind them, though, he thought he could picture a small, very young Fushimi staring wide-eyed and trusting at a faceless liar. It brought on a rush of indignation he hadn’t expected. “Fucking assholes,” he growled, opening his eyes again.
Something in Fushimi’s posture and expression seemed to have relaxed marginally. “I could think of worse descriptions,” he drawled, “but I’m not going to argue. Anyway, as closely as I could piece it together, he was initially contracted by someone else looking for revenge on her.” That came with another shrug, almost too casual a motion. “I was the punishment.”
The sheer callousness behind that simple fact was stunning; Yata stared, momentarily unable to think of a thing to say. Not only the fact that someone had thought to do it, but that those involved had casually let it slip in front of the kid in question... He couldn’t imagine the cold, indifference it would take. Or maybe cruelty. Both, really.
The fuck is wrong with these people?
Into the silence, Fushimi let out a soft, humorless huff of a laugh. “That guy would've been glad to do it. I think he took on way more contracts than he needed to, just for the opportunity to fuck with people. It’s the kind of thing he'd find funny.” Something dull and resigned seemed to settle in his eyes. “It’s kind of infuriating, really – he was probably one of the cleverest and most powerful demons in the Captain’s sector, and that was what he did with it. It’s no wonder someone decided to do something about it in the end.” The spiteful little smirk he offered with that somehow lacked any real force. “I would’ve done it myself if I could've figured out how.”
There was no way Yata could’ve started sorting out the kind of complicated feelings behind that smile – just the idea of that fervent wish for a person to die, especially someone who should've been closer than most people, struck him as a terrible thing to have to live with. He wondered if Fushimi might’ve wished, even a little bit, that he didn't have to feel that way. The thought made his throat ache and something start to burn within him with righteous fury. “I’d punch him for you right now if he was still around!” he offered fiercely.
Fushimi blinked at him, clearly caught off-guard, and then seemed to relax again, releasing a sigh that was far more sincere in its amusement than before. “I feel like you'd take any excuse to punch someone,” he murmured, lips curling up just a tiny bit. “Well, not that I'm complaining.”
Yata grinned back, curling his fingers into a fist and bringing it up in front of his body so he could smack it against his open palm. “Say the fucking word and I’ll beat the shit outta useless assholes like that any day!”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Fushimi drawled back. He seemed at least a little less guarded as he resumed his narrative. “As far as she goes, I’m not sure how she did it or what the terms were, but she tracked down the exact summoning circle and struck a deal with that guy.” He frowned again, reaching up to push his glasses higher on his nose absently. “Normally, since the birth happened in this realm, I would’ve been human. But she somehow transferred all custody to him, and it ended up the other way.”
That struck a chord. Yata felt an immediate understanding – a sense of shared experience – at the new information. Being born into a place you didn't quite belong... Yeah, he knew what that felt like. He’d lived it. And maybe he’d had the benefit of one loving parent, but that sense of not fitting in – of being something other...
He knew it all too well. “What happened?” he asked, voice a bit rough and uneven. In that moment, the sense of affinity for Fushimi was strong within him; he felt like he wanted to know more – get closer – and that was the only way he could think of to do it.
Fushimi clicked his tongue, glancing aside sharply as if to avoid Yata’s gaze. “Nothing that interesting,” he mumbled. “Since he had custody, he could show up periodically – he liked to do it at random, I think.” Another click of his tongue, and his frown deepened. “Not that he'd do anything particularly useful. I only learned to use my powers by watching him.”
‘Watching him’... As in, he used illusions on his kid, right? The thought, along with Fushimi’s earlier hints about ‘getting a reaction’ and ‘fucking with people’, created enough of a picture for him to see red for a moment, fingers clenching more firmly. Bastard!
Still, though... “Wait – that shit you do, you picked it up just by watching him do it?”
“More or less – at least at first.” Fushimi shrugged, turning to look at him again with obvious wariness. “It’s not really that hard to pick up the basics.”
“Huh? No way!” Thinking back on it, the cool way that Fushimi manifested objects, explaining away how illusions could trick the natural order if they were strong enough... It was even cooler to think he’d mostly taught it to himself. Yata felt the admiration bubbling up in his chest manifest as a smile that widened on his face as he stared back. “Even if it's just the basics or whatever, that’s still fucking amazing!”
Fushimi’s eyebrows furrowed, that hint of bewilderment making its way back onto his features. More than anything, he looked nonplussed – as if he didn't quite know what to make of that reaction. “Not really. It... wasn’t like I had any other choice.” He clicked his tongue again, frowning a bit. “At some point, a survival instinct will kick in for anyone, right? I could only rely on myself in that situation, since that guy would keep scaring off the housekeepers every time he showed up.” That came with a snort. “Not that I blame them. But it pissed her off, and she’d show up to argue with him. I learned a lot of what I know just by listening to them.”
It was crazy how well he could picture that: a younger, smaller Fushimi hovering around the periphery of an argument that put him on the outside of what should’ve been his family. Maybe because – though things hadn’t been nearly so bad for him – he could relate to that feeling. There had been times when he’d lingered on the outside of his mom’s new family and their happiness, too. That sense of being unnecessary – it brought back the ache he’d felt before, but stronger.
Must’ve been way worse in his case. But he still came this far.
He wondered if Fushimi had felt the same burning need to prove himself – to raise up above whatever fate had cursed him with those circumstances – that had consumed Yata through his teen years.
Maybe they could’ve related to each other really well, even back then.
Once again, Fushimi seemed awkward in the face of Yata’s silent solidarity; he glanced aside again, clicking his tongue. “Anyway, there’s not much else. One thing you should know about demon offspring is that they don’t have a summoning circle right away. Energy comes automatically from whichever parent is a demon, and you inherit the essence of their circle when they die.” He shrugged, once again with that jerky motion, still not making eye contact. “When that happened, it basically made me a full demon with my own circle, so of course I got sent to the ‘right’ realm.” At that, he made another of those humorless huffs. “I was halfway expecting it to happen any day after I learned about it – if anything, it was a surprise it wasn’t sooner.”
“Whoa, seriously?” That was pretty damn intense, the thought of being all at once in a strange place with no warning or much of an idea what to expect. A mingling of respect and admiration stirred to life in Yata’s belly. “What’d you do?”
“I scrapped by. What else could anyone do in that situation?” Fushimi clicked his tongue again, seeming a bit agitated. “That guy had a large reserve of energy already – like I said, he took contracts for fun. It was enough for me to use to find my bearings. That place isn’t so different from this one, and I’d had some time to prepare a plan, at least.” He huffed out a sharp sigh. “I managed on my own for a few years, but I’ll admit it was better after the Captain recruited me. At least he had meaningful work to offer.”
Not just that, though, huh? Even apart from getting out of what sounded like a really shitty – and lonely – situation, it felt like there was more to that ‘meaningful work’. Yata had spent enough time over the past month listening to the grumblings and the tiny tidbits of explanation to grasp a little of what lay behind Fushimi’s dishonest behavior. “And comrades too, right?”
Fushimi shot him a frown. “That’s not the word I’d use for those idiots,” he answered dryly, and then let out a short breath, resignation softening his expression. “But I guess they are a part of it.”
“Right?” Yata grinned back at him, catching the edge of that connection as their eyes met. He risked a tiny step toward Fushimi, following a sudden urge to be closer, and was gratified when no move was made to reset the distance between them.
Something occurred to him as they spent a moment of comfortable silence. “Hey,” he started, a bit hesitantly. “Does anyone call you by your first name?”
Fushimi blinked, and then his eyebrows furrowed. “Nobody’s called me that since I left this place.” Then he grimaced, clicking his tongue. “Not consistently, anyway.”
“Right. That’s kinda what I thought.” Yata took in a breath, feeling inexplicably nervous, and blurted, “How about if I called you that?”
At that, Fushimi’s eyes widened, just slightly. “You…” That trailed off, and he frowned slightly, looking away. “Didn’t you say we’re not close enough to be on a first name basis?”
“Hey, you gotta admit we got a lot closer these last few days,” Yata reminded him, the corners of his mouth edging up ruefully as he did. It was hard to figure out what Fushimi was thinking based on his expression, but he still forged ahead anyway. “That’s not really why, though. I was just thinking, when you said that stuff about my name and how it doesn’t say anything about who I am, it kinda helped. Since then… you calling me that makes me feel like I reclaimed it a bit. Y’know?” He reached up to scratch the back of his head awkwardly. “I figured you had nothing but bad memories of yours too, if it was just that asshole calling you it.”
He could hear Fushimi’s breath catch; a moment later, he was looking over again, something unusually lost and vulnerable in his expression. He seemed to have been caught without a proper response, staring at Yata in mute astonishment.
It was enough to fuel that ache in Yata’s throat; to make him want to reach further. He straightened as much as he could, returning the gaze steadily. “It’s part of you, right? If you want, I’ll help you claim it. Saruhiko.”
There was a stark moment of silence so thick it was nearly suffocating. Yata held his breath, anticipation and anxiety warring in his stomach…
Fushimi was the first to move, letting out a shuddering breath and shutting his eyes. He dipped his head forward, shoulders slouching as if he were admitting defeat, and then clicked his tongue. “Do what you want,” he mumbled.
The sudden capitulation felt a little bit cathartic; Yata couldn’t help the grin spreading wide across his face, and nodded. “Right!”
He could see the tiny hint of an answering smile on Fushimi’s – Saruhiko’s – lips even before his eyes opened again to meet Yata’s, and the spark of something bright and fluttery seemed to flare to life within him. It felt like a victory for sure.
The moment was interrupted by the warning thrum of the sunstone in Saruhiko’s hand. Yata jerked a little, startled by the sudden shift in the mood, and Saruhiko hummed lightly. “At least its timing is better this time.”
Thinking about the last few times this had happened, Yata couldn’t help but snort in response. “Got that right.” In the wake of that moment of closeness and with the light of the moon encouraging him, he felt bold enough to let his eyelids fall to half-mast, smirking up at Saruhiko. “Feel like changing that now?”
For a moment, Saruhiko just blinked at him again – and then he recovered quickly, eyes glittering in the pale light as he returned the smirk. “Fine by me,” he murmured, and leaned in just in time to meet Yata halfway.

People wonder why does Saruhiko and his cat have so much in common and Saruhiko simply stares at them with a extremely serious expression and says "I birthed him."
Fushimi just giving birth to everything around here XD Imagine the cat looks oddly like him too, like it has these two dark circles around its eyes that look kinda like nerd glasses and it has very striking blue eyes and it’s kinda scrawny because it was probably a stray that got attached to Fushimi and followed him home. The cat is also very particular, Fushimi has to buy it special food and it hates almost everyone in S4. The rest of the Blues are always trying to pet it and it’s always hissing and scratching, only a few choice members can pet it (somehow Akiyama and Benzai can, and occasionally it will let Hidaka. It also sits quietly for Awashima, though Munakata can only pet it because he uses Blue power to protect himself from the scratches).
Imagine the cat’s with him occasionally when Fushimi’s out patrolling and one day he runs into Yata. The cat is more than happy to bite and scratch at a very displeased Yata. Imagine it keeps running past him and making him fall on his butt, much to Fushimi’s amusement. Yata’s like what the hell, since when did you get a cat and anyway that thing is just like you. Without missing a beat Fushimi says ‘I birthed him.’ Yata’s like wait you what and Fushimi just smirks, gathering up his cat and saying he’ll see Yata later. Poor Yata is sitting there like he was kidding right, he had to be kidding but what if he wasn’t kidding. It doesn’t help matters that he gets back to Homra and Kusanagi is on the phone with Awashima talking about ‘that Strain that turned Fushimi into a cat a few months ago’ and now Yata’s really freaking out.

Transmasc Saruhiko and Cis Yata. Saruhiko squirts for the first time while they're having sex and it scares the shit out of Yata.
Imagine Yata freaking out because he thinks he did something wrong, like that isn’t supposed to happen is it, and Fushimi goes from being a bit embarrassed to just laughing because he forgot how much of a virgin his boyfriend is. Like when they first hook up and start having sex Yata’s hesitant anyway because he’s so used to seeing Saruhiko as a guy that he almost forgot Fushimi’s trans. Maybe this is like a follow up to that one earlier ask where Yata ended up buying books on anatomy so he knows where to put his hands and such, which helps him feel a little more confident about the whole thing. Fushimi teases him but is also pretty pleased about it, because once Yata gets over his nervousness it turns out that he’s pretty good with his fingers and Fushimi really appreciates that.
One day they’re both getting really into it and Yata’s got his fingers inside Fushimi prepping to enter him, Fushimi’s all moaning and urging Yata on. He starts to come and ends up squirting and imagine Yata just screams like a scared little kid as he pulls his fingers out and scrambles back. Fushimi is still coming down from the high and looks at him blankly, Yata’s all what the hell was that. It takes Fushimi a minute to realize what happened and imagine him getting a little red-faced because while he knows what happened he’s never actually done that either. Yata’s still looking freaked out though and that eases Fushimi’s embarrassment because at least he’s not Misaki and he starts laughing, wondering if Yata’s that scared of normal sexual activity. Yata’s like I’m not scared but are you supposed to…you know…do that? Imagine he’s all worried too that maybe he did something wrong and it hurt and Fushimi has to grudgingly admit that no, this was because it was so good. That makes Yata pretty proud of himself, like huh so I can make you do that with just my fingers and Fushimi clicks his tongue all don’t act so high and mighty when you literally screamed like a virgin the moment it happened.

Something dangerous or simply bad happens to Saruhiko's child and his mood and health drastically decays? Like imagine they get a very bad sickness and had to be sent to the hospital for a couple of days or even a week or two and Saruhiko can't let go of his kid. Like, what if he lives while they're asleep and they notice how their only parent isn't there when they need them? And also even the nurses are worried because Saruhiko doesn't touch any of his meals unless his child intently watching him.
Especially if this is the first really scary illness his kid has I could definitely see Fushimi having a minor freak out about it, well aware of how his parents treated him when he was sick, but also at the same time his old abandonment issues are flaring up as he wonders if his kid is going to die and that’s what he gets for getting attached. Like say the kid doesn’t have the best immune system anyway (probably gets that from their dad) and ends up catching something particularly bad. Fushimi does his best awkwardly nursing the kid for a few days, being told by the doctor just to keep an eye on the child and let him know if it gets worse, and then suddenly the child takes a really drastic turn for the worse and Fushimi ends up using S4 government worker privilege to speed his child to the hospital, red lights are for other people.
The kid is placed in a room and being monitored while the doctors get to tell Fushimi what’s wrong. It’s pretty serious and imagine the doctors being initially concerned because Fushimi is just taking all this in with a total lack of expression, probably occasionally making sarcastic comments or grumbling under his breath about stupid incompetent doctors. Once he’s free though Fushimi doesn’t leave the room for anything, he’s not like parents who sit by their kid’s bed constantly fretting but he’s always there in the corner of the room on his PDA, like he doesn’t know if he should be comforting the child or staying as far away as possible. The nurses are whispering about it until one day like Munakata or Yata or Awashima shows up with some food and tells Fushimi he should at least go home and get a nap and a change of clothes. Fushimi refuses, mumbling that the kid might wake up and Fushimi won’t be there. No amount of convincing from anyone can get him to leave, he keeps saying he’s fine when he’s clearly very not. The only point I could see him leaving is if the kid took a really drastic turn for the worst, I’m not sure Fushimi could handle that and he’d probably suddenly convince himself that look, another broken precious thing, and now he can’t bear to be in the room when it really does break apart.

saruhiko and misaki are a pair of ghosts haunting a house, and every day they try to outcompete each other in scaring whoever comes in
Somehow I imagine Fushimi was haunting that house first and then Yata shows up and they start competing with like a ‘loser has to leave’ thing, except oh no now they like each other. Like Fushimi’s been haunting this old townhouse for many years, when he was a child he lived there with his shitty parents and then died young. He carried such a deep grudge though that he became a ghost and he’s been haunting the place ever since, the only thing he vaguely enjoys is scaring away people who try to move in. The house pretty quickly gets a reputation as haunted so lots of people are always trying to sneak in, at the same time because it’s such a fancy old house every now and again some rich person will try to move in and Fushimi scares them away.
One day Fushimi’s idly hanging around the house when he spots this red-haired kid standing in front of the door. The door is closed and the guy looks confused, Fushimi assumes he must be lost and looking for shelter for the night and this guy will be fun to scare. Fushimi starts moving a few random objects, enjoying how the guy starts to freak out and yell. Fushimi finally jumps out from a wall and the guy screams and falls backward…phasing straight through the closed door. Fushimi gets this disgusted look like what a ghost who’s scared of other ghosts, the guy is like wait what the fuck I’m a ghost.
It turns out Yata was hit by a car while skateboarding and now he’s a wandering ghost. Yata’s all bummed like well this sucks, Fushimi shrugs and is like that’s how it is, go find somewhere else to haunt this place is mine. Yata doesn’t see why they can’t both haunt this place, it’s huge and anyway he doesn’t know where to go. Fushimi has no interest in having a roommate, especially one who can’t even handle being scared, Yata probably couldn’t even scare away a little kid. Yata insists that he could too scare someone, Fushimi scoffs like you’d probably run away screaming yourself. Yata’s like oh yeah well I bet I could scare better than you, and if I do you have to let me stay. Fushimi’s like fine if you want to fail horribly go ahead. So now they’re both on a mission to see who can scare intruders the worst, Fushimi has to up his game to beat Yata while Yata figures things out pretty quickly because he’s not going to let Saruhiko beat him this easily. At some point they don’t even notice that they’ve stopped actively competing and are working together more and that Fushimi’s stopped telling Yata to leave, and Yata’s started thinking of this place as ‘our’ home.

Hello hello! I'm sorry you're still not doing so good 😔 I have this funny thought that makes me giggle, so I hope it can make you laugh a bit too: Homra era Fushimi but in super cute girly clothes, (maybe loli for the added ruffle and layers) because it can hide so many more knives and death within all that fabric. Whether Fushimi is male or female depends on my mood but I typically picture a more androgynous look, and one by one the Homra boys realizing that no, this adorable person may be great to look at but has the crassest mouth and will stab you if you hit on them, will stab you if you try to save them, will stab you if you get too close period 😂 anyway, I hope you feel better soon 💜
Maybe sort of a gender fluid Fushimi, who dresses the way he wants and doesn’t care much about trying to be one gender or the other. When he’s with Yata it’s fine, like Yata I imagine was very confused the first time Fushimi showed up at his house wearing a dress and a defiant expression. By now though he’s really just settled into ‘that’s how Saruhiko is’ and doesn’t think twice about how some days Fushimi’s dressed in oversized hoodies and looking like he just woke up and some days Fushimi will show up in a full lolita fashion coord with knives in his petticoat. I imagine once he moves in with Yata especially Fushimi would feel more comfortable dressing however he wants, because he doesn’t have to deal with Niki’s mockery or Kisa’s disgust.
Then they join Homra and honestly I could see Fushimi eventually feeling too self conscious to keep wearing the frills, especially once Anna joins — like Anna thinks Saruhiko’s clothes are cute but Fushimi knows everyone talks about him behind his back and that he doesn’t fit in again. But at first he doesn’t think about it because he’s too used to dressing how he wants, maybe when they’re saved during the surprise party he’s dressed in the frills (for anyone who’s seen Kamikaze Girls, at one point when Momoko’s at home she’s wearing this longer white dress with card suits on it and it looks very comfy, I’m imagining him lounging in something like that while he directs Yata and obviously there’s no time to change when he runs out afterward) and initially Mikoto and Kusanagi mistake him for a girl, only Totsuka realizes right away. None of them react to the revelation with more than a shrug so Fushimi doesn’t think twice about wearing a dress the next time he stops in to the bar.
There are a few more Homra guys around this time and everyone’s probably asking Yata about his ‘cute girlfriend,’ Yata gets this confused look like what Saruhiko isn’t my girlfriend. Chitose grins all perfect, just wanted to check as he reaches over to start turning on the charm, figuring this girl seems so sweet and frilly she’ll be easy to flirt with. Instead he suddenly finds himself on the business end of a knife, Yata freaking out like what the hell Saruhiko why do you still have knives in your skirt and Fushimi clicks his tongue like why wouldn’t I have them. Chitose learns his lesson but probably decides not to mention this to the next Homra guy to show up, like if he had to have a knife held to his throat Bandou does too. Everyone quickly learns that Fushimi only looks sweet, like don’t be fooled by the dress that guy actually has the worst attitude ever.

Yata who can transform into a cute three-legged crow that likes to perch on Fushimi's shoulder. Or settle on his head like a birdie in a nest.
Hmm, maybe this is like one of those AUs where Yata's secretly a Strain? He can turn into a three-legged crow and of course he thinks this is really cool, like he can fly around and stuff – except actual crows don't like him and chase him off when he tries to befriend them, and humans just chase him off with brooms and don't like him either. Because of this Yata keeps his power a secret, he tells himself it's like he's a superhero with a secret identity except even though he's a three-legged crow he's still normal crow sized (or maybe even smaller, much to his mortification, and he insists to himself that his crow form will grow as soon he hits his human growth spurt. Any day now.) and so it's hard to actually do anything superhero-like. But then he meets Fushimi in middle school and Fushimi is amazing even without superpowers so Yata decides that this will be the first person he confides his secret in. Fushimi takes it pretty calmly, like imagine Yata's all apprehensive that his new best friend will hate him or call him a freak or something and instead Fushimi just snickers and notes that Yata's an awfully short crow.
After that Yata feels more comfortable going into crow form around Fushimi, Fushimi doesn't mind and anyway Saruhiko's smart and uses Yata's crow form for like reconnaissance and spying and basically all these cool superhero things that Yata hadn't even considered because he figured any sort of superpower a person had they would use it for fighting. Imagine this mostly when they're in middle school and pre-Homra, Yata likes to just perch on Fushimi's shoulder sometimes (and peck him when he's being a jerk), or he'll settle on Fushimi's head and Fushimi waves him away because he doesn't want Yata nesting in his hair. Yata turns human and laughs that Fushimi's hair is a bird's nest anyway so why is he complaining so much.
Then they join Homra and Yata stops using his crow form as much, everyone knows about it but Yata would rather be in the vanguard fighting with the power Mikoto-san gave him than be gathering information. Post-betrayal Fushimi loves to tease Yata for being a 'scrawny crow' and it always gets a rise out of Yata every time. But then imagine post-reconciliation, say Fushimi's recovering from his leg wound in hospital and Yata hasn't been able to go visit him yet. One afternoon he hears this tap on the hospital window that Munakata left open so Fushimi could get some air, Fushimi looks up and in flies this little three-legged crow. Fushimi clicks his tongue like you don't need to come check on me and Yata doesn't even shift, he just settles himself on Fushimi's shoulder and nuzzles his cheek a little and Fushimi huffs and lies back down, just accepting that wordless affection and maybe feeling a little more relaxed in spite of himself because Misaki's here.

I was fighting with my CPAP mask and thought: what if Fushimi had sleep apnea and the Captain made him take care of himself and get a CPAP. He's using the one that goes over the nose and mouth, Yata pops in to check on him and sees him sleeping and got the wrong impression. Starts thinking Fushimi is dying or something.
Imagine Yata freaking out that Saruhiko's dying and meanwhile Fushimi is just trying to get some proper sleep for once XD Say after one of Scepter 4's required yearly physicals Munakata finds out that Fushimi has sleep apnea and decides to make him get treatment for it, thinking that perhaps this will keep Fushimi from being so exhausted all the time and make it possible for him to have healthier deeper sleep. Fushimi would probably really hate the stupid CPAP machine especially at first, like imagine him complaining that he hates wearing the stupid mask to sleep and he can't sleep with it on anyway and he's been fine up until now so why does he even need to do this. Munakata is firm about the whole thing though and Fushimi eventually gets used to it, it does help his sleep even if it's a pain to deal with every night.
One evening he's supposed to meet Yata for drinks but he's feeling a little under the weather and decides to just go right to bed. Maybe his text to Yata is a little vague, like is PDA was running low on charge and the whole message didn't get sent or he forgot to check his autocorrect or something so the message kinda suggests that something major happened and that's why he can't meet Yata. Yata's a little worried because he isn't sure what that text meant exactly so he figures he could probably just sneak into Scepter 4 and check on Saruhiko and maybe bring him some soup again. Yata convinces himself that he's reading too much into a quick text and Fushimi's fine, just a little sick, but Yata's gonna check on him just in case.
He sneaks into Scepter 4 and climbs up to Fushimi's window, as it happens Fushimi left it open to get some fresh air. Yata climbs right in like the Romeo he is and quietly calls Fushimi's name. There's no answer but he hears like the soft sound of a machine, Yata feels a little nervous as he goes to turn the light on. The moment he sees Fushimi lying in bed with the mask over his face Yata starts to panic a little, like wait no one told me things were this bad what happened. He's immediately thinking all these terrible things, like Saruhiko's on life support somehow, he's on oxygen and who knows what happened and why did no one call him what if Saruhiko is dying. Imagine this is pretty soon after ROK and maybe Yata hasn't admitted his feelings to Fushimi yet so what this turns into is Yata giving this emotional declaration of love to a 'dying' Fushimi...only for Fushimi to slowly open his eyes, yawn, and then just take the mask off as he's like what are you doing Misaki I'm trying to sleep. Yata grabs Fushimi and hugs him all you're alive I was so worried and poor Fushimi is just so confused, he's not entirely sure if he's still dreaming and if so this might be the best dream he's ever had.

What if Mikoto accidentally goes back in time and meets tiny child Fushimi and discovers how abusive his dad is and basically takes him under his wing while he's there and Mikoto kind of realizes through raising Fushimi why his version was so scared of him. What if he's eventually torn away after like a year or so back into his original timeline and he sort of misses the Fushimi that idolizes him but knows that he'll never see the kid again and hopes he's doing well only to one day bump into this Fushimi who is being cornered by his dad and suddenly Mikoto severe hatred for the man flaires up and he steps in to save Fushimi..... I'm not sure if Fushimi remembers Mikoto after that though because of weird timy-whimy stuff or just becomes completely freaked out by two of his biggest fears in one place together.
Somehow I just imagine Mikoto being sent back in time for like a year and where most people would be freaking out he's just like '….*shrug*' and deals with it XD Like imagine he gets hit by the Time Travel Strain and Mikoto figures it's kind of a pain when he finds himself back in the past but hey, could be worse. He manages to find some work as a bouncer at some seedy club (where they don't ask the employees for ID and he can get hired on the basis of looking like he'd be good at punching people) and kinda settles in waiting for when he can finally go home. Maybe sending him to the past did something to his King powers too, like even though his body hasn't changed at all he's been kinda 'reset', power-wise, to how he was during this time period and so he's not a King right now. That's actually a weird sort of relief, like he might not have the kind of power he used to but he doesn't have this feeling like he's going to be overwhelmed by destructive urges as much either.
One day as he's wondering how long he's gonna be stuck here and why did he get sent back to this particular time period anyway he runs across a crying kid. Mikoto tries to just keep walking past but it's late and there's no one else around, finally he sighs and goes to ask the kid what the problem is. Before he can open his mouth though he hears this irritating 'gya ha ha' type laugh and the kid noticeably flinches. A man appears and for a moment Mikoto wonders if he's actually in the future rather than the past and this is like future Fushimi and his kid, the resemblance is way too uncanny. But then the guy calls the kid 'Saruhiko' and Mikoto realizes who this must be. Something about this gives him a bad feeling and he carefully follows them home, watching as Niki teases Fushimi and talks about leaving him in the park overnight or playing 'can you get down from the tall tree.' Mikoto's kinda starting to understand why Fushimi turned out the way he did with this kind of dad, making a note of the house they go into.
The next day Mikoto hangs out around the house until little kid Fushimi leaves with his school satchel on. Mikoto walks over to keep pace with him and asks why no one's walking him to school. Fushimi looks over at him all tense and Mikoto's just totally calm, smoking a cigarette and talking to Fushimi as if nothing's weird about a random adult talking to some kid he doesn't know. Fushimi lowers his head and mumbles that no one ever walks him to school and he doesn't need them to, Mikoto's like 'I see' and then says he'll walk Fushimi to school. Fushimi gives him a suspicious look and asks who Mikoto is, Mikoto says Fushimi doesn't need to worry about it. Fushimi's like if you're a kidnapper just so you know no one will pay my ransom, Mikoto blows smoke and says he isn't going to kidnap Fushimi, he just figures someone should keep an eye on him. Fushimi's all confused by this weird adult and thinks Mikoto's just teasing him somehow but then once school is over Mikoto's there to walk him home too.
From that point on Mikoto always seems to be there whenever Fushimi leaves the house and Fushimi still doesn't get who this person is or why he's taken an interest in Fushimi but he also slowly starts to trust Mikoto too, like somehow this person seems to care about him and Fushimi's never had that before. Mikoto asks Fushimi about his family and about 'that guy,' Fushimi doesn't like to talk about Niki though and will go all quiet when Mikoto asks. Mikoto sees how Fushimi is with Niki though and probably wonders if it will like destroy the timeline if he burns this guy. He thinks Fushimi isn't a bad kid though, a little more timid than the Fushimi Mikoto knows but not really that different. Fushimi's also started to really get close to Mikoto, like he starts looking forward to Mikoto taking him to and from school and he's really begun to open up to Mikoto a little.
That's when the time travel thing finally wears off and Mikoto gets sent back to right around the time he left. Homra's all worried about him but they think he just disappeared for like an hour, Mikoto rubs the back of his head and says 'something like that.' Afterward Homra and Scepter 4 clash and Mikoto wonders if he made any impression on Fushimi in the past, however Fushimi just acts as cold as normal and doesn't seem to remember him. But then a few days later imagine Mikoto's walking around the city and comes upon Fushimi and Niki (say Everybody Lives AU where that 'everybody' unfortunately includes Niki). Fushimi's clearly tense and angry, all his usual belligerence drained away by this person who even now fills him with dread. Mikoto though just gets this fierce grin like well it won't affect the timeline now right and imagine him just walking up and punching Niki right in the face. Fushimi is staring at him absolutely dumbfounded, like here one person he hates just destroyed the person he hates even more and Fushimi has no idea why. Mikoto just asks Fushimi 'you good?', Fushimi nods mutely and Mikoto puts a hand on his head before walking off all you're still not a bad kid even though you grew up to have a mouth on you.

So I saw that Fushimixnormalguy ask, say oneday Homra and S4 are having some bonding day(thx to Totsuka and Munakata- everybody lives au) so Fushimi decides to bring his bf with him cuz he's tired of all these ppl crushing on him. Everyone is shocked cuz this guy is so normal!! until he actually beats Munakata at chess and now they're freaking out like no this guy ain't normal wtf and Fushimi is so proud. So now good news-ppl aren't after him anymore, bad news-they're crushing on his bf now
But if he's not a normal guy can he really be Normal Guy D: Maybe Fushimi's boyfriend really is a totally normal guy but he's got like weird luck or vaguely savant-style leanings that Fushimi is unaware of, so everyone assumes that Fushimi's boyfriend is so normal and nothing special and then he keeps doing all this completely abnormal stuff (also I know Fushimi being proud would be cute but imagine if he missed all these moments and still thinks his boyfriend is totally normal while everyone else is boggling at him). Like Everybody Lives AU where after the whole jungle mess Totsuka and Munakata decide it would be nice to have a big inter-clan barbecue picnic or something. They think it would be a nice way for everyone to bond and relax after all the mess that's happened beforehand. Maybe there's a little ulterior motive here too, like Munakata knows Fushimi's been dating a normal guy and he really wants to meet that person, by having the party and hinting that people can bring along significant others he's hoping to finally meet this interesting normal man.
Fushimi doesn't particularly want to go to the party but his nice supportive normal boyfriend thinks it would be nice, it's almost like a work function right. Normal guy suggests that he could come along, like maybe it will make Fushimi more comfortable and anyway he's been wanting to meet Fushimi's boss. That almost makes Fushimi decide he definitely doesn't want to go but he eventually reluctantly agrees and asks his normal boyfriend to come along with him. When they arrive at the party maybe normal guy finds himself a little intimidated though, like wow everyone here is so extraordinary and they all have distinct main character style character designs and here he's just a regular old NPC. Even so he's determined to make a good impression as Fushimi's boyfriend and he wants Fushimi to be comfortable so he decides to do his best to charm everyone.
So then as the party goes on imagine it turning out that normal guy is maybe not as normal as he thinks. Like there's one of those giant board game things that sometimes parks have, like it's a huge Go board or something and Munakata asks normal guy is he would like a friendly game (since everyone else keeps refusing him). Everyone assumes Munakata's going to kick this guy's butt however it turns out that via some luck and having played Go with his grandpa as a child the normal guy actually wins. Everyone is amazed but then they're like well maybe it was a coincidence. Yata decides to ask the guy if he wants to do some skateboard tricks together, maybe thinking he can show off a bit, except normal guy used to skateboard in college and still knows a lot of tricks so he ends up showing Yata up. He has more anime knowledge than Enomoto and dated more girls than Chitose, he can eat spicier food than Dewa and knows more about cats than Benzai or Fujishima. Fushimi's actually a little pleased that his boyfriend is fitting in so well, especially since now everyone's ignoring Fushimi so he feels much more comfortable. Eventually Fushimi and his boyfriend take their leave and normal guy says he thinks he made a pretty good impression, behind them half the cast is now kinda crushing on Fushimi's amazing normal boyfriend.

Your latest post about Munakata died on Mihasihara attack AU is so heartbreaking, made me cry (for real, there are literal tears running on my cheeks). And made me think, isn't this AU too cruel for my baby Fushimi? Like not only he couldn't grief properly after Munakata's death to prepare his betrayal acting and mission, he lost his King and he had to remove himself from his place to belong for the sake of secret mission, he also has to receive power from people who killed Munakata, chopped vegetables alongside Munakata's killer, sleep with people who was responsible for Munakata's death. Oh, imagine Sukuna told Fushimi in front of the Slate "See this? It's the Slate that we stole from your previous king after he was defeated and died, the Slate that was guarded by your previous king but he was too weak so we killed him", how painful for Fushimi to suppress his anger and sorrow and said "Yeah, so? I don't really care."
So how about after he was rescued, he finally accepts that Munakata is really dead, in his shocked state Green power flows through his hands, and he totally freaks out, like no I don't want this, I don't want power from people who killed Captain. Hidaka gives Fushimi his uniform and sword to calm him, and Fushimi holds those things tightly like yeah, these are mine, I am Scepter 4 person, this coat are given by Captain this sword are named by Captain. Honestly at this point he needs therapy, after all he lives together with people who killed one of his most important person for a month
I mean he needs therapy even under normal circumstances so this would just make things even worse. I definitely feel that if Munakata died at Mihashira and Fushimi still went undercover that he would just be burying all his painful feelings as deep down as he can, like there's no time for grief or for thinking about how he just lost a very precious thing because he has a job to do. In a way I think focusing on the job would almost make it easier, like this is the last order his King gave him and Fushimi will carry it out to the best of his ability. Plus on top of that Fushimi just assumes he's definitely a dead man now, no one knows about the plan to infiltrate jungle except Munakata, who's no longer here, and there's no one who will come to save him when things go sour. So for Fushimi it's like he can just push away all the grief and pain for now, and he won't even have to think about later because he isn't intending to actually have a 'later.'
Even so it gets more difficult once he's actually a J-ranker and gets to be face to face with the people who killed his King (and I imagine him finding out somehow about the hand Hisui had in what happened to Mikoto and Totsuka too, like this man killed two of his Kings). It helps that Fushimi isn't exactly a share your emotions type of guy anyway so if he's standoffish no one thinks much of it, but it's still hard to do something so mundane as chopping vegetables with the Gray King who shot Munakata in the heart. When he gets the Green power from Hisui part of him balks at it and maybe he feels this sharp jolt of pain before he forces himself to relax and accept the power, like for a moment he let his emotions get in the way and tried to reject the power that killed Munakata. I imagine Sukuna constantly needling Fushimi about how they killed Munakata too, like trying to get a rise out of Fushimi (especially after Fushimi opens the door to the hideout and is revealed as having betrayed them, I could see Sukuna gloating that they killed Fushimi's King and they're going to kill Fushimi too, because the Green clan is so much stronger than anyone else).
Then afterward Fushimi gets rescued and say Munakata did leave some failsafe behind so that the clan knows that Fushimi never betrayed them. In the aftermath Fushimi's a little dazed, he's injured and here he's still alive after everything. Fushimi's feeling sort of numb, like imagine him just sitting in the back of one of the Scepter 4 vans staring at the wall and feeling like he doesn't know what he's supposed to do now. Awashima and the alphabet squad come in to see him and Fushimi's shocked out of his stupor, reflexively he summons power to his hands and it's Green that immediately comes to him. All of a sudden that pile of feelings that Fushimi's buried inside for the last month come spilling over and Fushimi tries to like turn the Green power off, shaking his hands as he mutters feverishly that this isn't what he wants, this wasn't from his King, this was the power that killed – and he trails off, eyes wide, hands shaking. Suddenly a blue coat is draped over his shoulder and Hidaka pushes the sword into his hands, asking if he's okay and telling him that they've kept these things for him, Captain asked them to hold onto this coat and this sword. Fushimi repeats 'Captain...' and then he pulls the coat closer over his shoulders, hands running along the hilt of his sword as he murmurs 'My King...is....'.

(1) Yata is a short kid with a girly name so he often gets teased by his friends. Wanting to impress his friends, he does a dare from them against his better judgement and the dare is "Enter the creepy abandoned house and return here with something from it." and the item has to be something that he can prove belonged to the house and not just something he smuggled in to pretend he went inside. After panicking as he explored the dark house he finds out that not only is the house not abandoned
Tumblr media
Imagine Fushimi living in this big creepy house all by himself because Niki probably thought it would be like really funny to buy the house that looks like it should belong to a witch. Of course Niki and Kisa are barely ever at the house so it takes on a certain aura of legend among the local kids, that there's this creepy house with a high fence and overgrown trees and weeds (because Kisa never got around to hiring a gardener) and sometimes when people walk by they hear this creepy laughter coming from inside.
Yata knows all about the creepy house too and he tries to avoid it as much as possible (not because he's like afraid of possible ghosts or anything, nope, he just...doesn't want to get in trouble for breaking and entering. Right, yeah, that's it). He gets teased a lot for being afraid though, like maybe he's only recently moved to this town too and he ended up befriending some of the local delinquents. Yata wants to show that he's as cool as the rest of them but he gets teased a lot due to being so short and having a girly name, which Yata hates. One day he's insisting that he's as brave as anyone and that he'll kick the ass of the next person to call him afraid when one of his friends is like 'okay if you're so brave I dare you to go into the cursed house and bring something back from inside.'
Yata almost freaks out but he bites his tongue and is like fine, I will just watch. The other kids didn't quite expect Yata to actually do it and they probably keep waiting for him to change his mind and turn tail but instead Yata just climbs up a tree and jumps the fence into the abandoned house's yard. The yard feels really creepy from the moment Yata lands, like all the trees and bushes and everything make the sound seem sorta muffled and it's like Yata's all alone in this alternate world. He carefully makes his way to the front of the house, thinking he'll look in the window or something. Yata bumps against the door and he's shocked when there's a loud creaking sound and the door opens.
Yata jumps and swallows a scream but no ghosts appear so he peers inside. It's dark but looks empty, Yata slowly sneaks inside using his PDA as a flashlight. He isn't sure what to take, there's a lot of stuff in this place but does that mean someone lives here and would that be like stealing. There seems to be a lot of dust though so Yata starts to think what if the owners like died and no one ever noticed and this place has been empty for a long time and there's only ghosts living here. Yata turns to walk down a hall and suddenly his light illuminates this scowling face.
Yata does scream this time, dropping his PDA as he freaks out, babbling about ghosts. Then he hears this soft tongue click and a gloomy voice saying 'if you want to steal something, go ahead.' Yata stops like wait I wasn't gonna steal anything and the kid in front of him shrugs and says there's nothing important here so if he wants to take something he can. Yata's really confused but he's also realized that this isn't a ghost so that calms him down a little. Yata finds out Fushimi's name and that he's lived here for a long time, his parents aren't usually home so it's just Fushimi here. Fushimi goes to some different school than Yata but he skips all the time so no one ever sees him entering or leaving the house.
Yata thinks it's strange that Fushimi's been here all this time and no one really knows, wondering why Fushimi doesn't come out and play with everyone. Fushimi says other people are stupid and he doesn’t care about them, Yata's like don't you have any friends. Fushimi clicks his tongue and says he doesn't need friends. Fushimi tells Yata that if he needs to take something to win his dare go ahead, it's not like anything here matters to Fushimi. Yata feels weird about taking something now though and instead he asks if he can come see Fushimi again tomorrow.
Fushimi assumes that Yata's just trying to make himself sound good and that he won't really come back. The next day though Yata climbs the fence again and shows up at Fushimi's door, knocking and then letting himself in when Fushimi doesn't answer. Fushimi calls Yata annoying and Yata just grins like yeah maybe anyway let's hang out. Eventually they start to become friends and Yata gets Fushimi to actually leave his house, getting to show his friends that he did find something in that house after all (and then Fushimi gets upset thinking Yata just wanted him to come out in order to win a bet and Yata has to convince him that no Yata just wanted him to come out and be with people and have a sleepover with Yata and be his best friend).

(1/2) Misaki waking up inside a train which never stops in the middle of the night. He meets grumpy boy Saruhiko and felt he's the only one he can talk to since the others in the train are kinda creepy and the two slowly becomes close as the night went on. They later meet a few others on the train who Misaki also gets close to. Fearing Misaki would leave him, he tried to sabotage their effort to find a way out but the others are able to do something about it and Saru changed his mind. When they
Tumblr media
Also very Night on Galactic Railroad! So say Yata wakes up and finds himself on this train, he doesn't recall how he got here or even getting on the train at all. The only other people he can see on the train are creepy black silhouettes that are half hunched over and don't respond when Yata tries to talk to them. He's getting super freaked out when he finally runs into an actual person, a skinny kid in glasses who curtly tells Yata that his name is Fushimi. Fushimi isn't interested in making friends or helping Yata out but Yata's determined to stick close to the one person who seems normal on this train. Yata asks Fushimi all kinds of stuff about the train, like where is this train going and what's with all the passengers and how did you get here anyway. Fushimi tells him that this train never stops, he doesn't know how long he's been here but it's been a long time. He holds up a hand and shows Yata how his skin is turning black, Fushimi figures if he's here long enough he'll become a shadow just like all those other passengers. Yata's immediately concerned and Fushimi's taken aback by his sincere affection, Yata isn't worried about like being left alone on the train or anything he's concerned about Fushimi even though they've only just met.
The two of them start walking around the train together and Yata loses track of time, the sun hasn't come up the whole time they've been on this train but it feels like it's been longer than a whole night. Sometimes they'll pass a station but the train never slows or stops, dark scenery flashing past again and again. Yata's getting a little freaked but he feels safer having Fushimi there, Fushimi seems like a really amazing guy and Yata's decided that they're gonna stick together no matter what. Finally Yata wonders if they should try to make it to the first car, to see the conductor and ask him to stop so they can get off at least. Fushimi hesitates, this sulky look on his face, but Yata's so intent about it that he ends up agreeing and they start moving up the train.
Halfway up they move into new cars that Fushimi's never visited before and maybe that's when they finally meet some other non-shadow people, this guy named Mikoto and his friends Totsuka and Kusanagi. Yata feels a little like he should know them but he can't recall why, however he immediately feels safe around Mikoto. Mikoto and co. are also trying to make it up train, to find out what's going on in this weird place, and it irritates Fushimi that Yata joins them so readily. Yata keeps looking back at Fushimi saying 'you come too Saruhiko' but Fushimi feels like he's just an afterthought, like of course Yata only wants to follow these other people (and even as he thinks this he notices his other hand has started to turn black as well).
They finally get to the first car and find the conductor is also just this shadowy figure who won't respond to anyone. Mikoto tries to punch him and his fist just goes right through, which freaks Yata out because it's like this guy is a ghost. They all sit down to discuss what to do and maybe Fushimi hovers away from everyone else in the corner and that's when he sees it, this small button on the console that says 'emergency stop.' The letters keep shifting and fading, like the only reason Fushimi can see it is because he's already started turning shadowy and Yata and the others don't even notice. Fushimi realizes that if he doesn't say anything they can all just go back down train and Yata will have to stay here forever with him.
The others decide to return to the main cars, Fushimi follows without saying a word. Something flashes by outside and Yata jumps, reaching for Fushimi's hand and Fushimi suddenly realizes that Yata's hand is also turning black and Yata's becoming a shadow. Fushimi suddenly feels this jolt of fear, like he wanted to stay with Misaki but what if Yata also becomes one of those shades, what if he can't see Misaki smile at him anymore or touch his hand. Fushimi pulls his hand away and mumbles out a 'sorry, Yata' as he turns around and goes back to the other car, pressing the emergency stop button. The train suddenly seems to be bursting with light as it slows to a stop, right in front of a brightly lit station.
Mikoto, Kusanagi and Totsuka decide to disembark and Yata intends to go with them, but then he turns around and sees Fushimi is still hanging back. Yata's all 'come on Saruhiko' and Fushimi shakes his head, moving forward to show Yata that most of his body has become like a shadow now. Fushimi says he doesn't belong in that place and Yata should go ahead without him, it's not like Yata needs him anyway. Fushimi figures he'll just ride this train forever, becoming a shadow passenger and being all alone the way he should have been from the start, not letting himself get attached to people who are only going to leave. The train starts to slowly move and Fushimi tells Yata to go while he can, Yata starts to turn away and Fushimi gives this sigh of relief, like at least Misaki will be safe now. That's when Yata's hand flashes out and grabs Fushimi's wrist, Yata saying that there's no way he'd ever leave Saruhiko behind as he drags Fushimi off the train and onto the brightly lit platform. The lights are shining so bright it's hard for Yata to see as he pulls hard, thinking only that he can't leave Saruhiko on that train.
When he blinks his eyes again Yata's staring at a white ceiling and he realizes with a start that he's in the hospital. Yata suddenly remembers everything that happened before the train, that he was out with his upperclassmen Mikoto, Kusanagi and Totsuka and they were riding around when they got hit by a car. Yata realizes that he's covered in bandages and everything, eventually a doctor appears and Yata learns that he's been in a coma. He wonders if he just dreamed the train thing but then Totsuka stops by his room to check on him, also bandaged up and recovering from injuries and Yata finally quietly asks if Totsuka recalls a train. Totsuka gives him a sad smile and says 'so you remember it too, huh?'. Yata realizes then that if the train was real Saruhiko must be too and he asks Totsuka if he knows about anyone named Saruhiko in this hospital. Totsuka doesn't but Yata convinces him to help Yata out of bed and Yata just starts stumbling around the hospital, looking in the rooms and dodging nurses, determined to find Fushimi.
He ends up at this one room where there's no one, no relatives waiting by the bed, no flowers on the table, like it's almost as if no one cares that there's a patient here. Yata peers in and his eyes widen as he sees the patient, Fushimi lying all alone and looking small in the bed. His eyes are closed and Yata runs to him, briefly glancing at the chart by the bed that reads 'Fushimi Saruhiko, head trauma from falling down the stairs.' Fushimi's been in a coma a long time and Yata's suddenly afraid that maybe he didn't get Fushimi off the train in time, like what if Saruhiko's always going to be riding that train alone and never wakes up. He reaches for Fushimi's hand and says his name, begging Fushimi to wake up, and that's when Fushimi gives this quiet '...noisy.' He slowly opens his eyes and Yata feels tears welling up as he squeezes Fushimi's hand and tells him good morning.
