still thinking about how knowing that WunSoc’s true purpose is the containment of monsters and distraction from those activities so that people don’t panic casts a totally different light on the Trials. The Book Trial is how well can you spin propaganda on a dime. The Fright Trial is how well can you withstand psychological horror. The Loyalty Trial is can you be blackmailed into silence via threats against your fellow eleven year olds. I’m going to be sick
