#it’s years after it all and Fero’s ship is a house now#he had left for a few years before Lem tracked him down#brought him back to whatever this aus last university is#showed him theres a community he could be a part of#and he stays and then goes and stays and goes#mostly sticks around these days though#his ship has found roots#he thinks samol would find it funny#anyway its like 10 or 15 years of fero being a candidate who outlived his divine#and lem is over because its the day it happened#my anniversary fero jokes#and they talk awhile and lem says something about wishing samol hadnt done that to fero#hadnt taken fero as a part of himself when death or destruction were always the only options at the end of that relationship#and fero looks at him sitting up on the wooden counter jammed into the metal of a vessel that used to fly#sun coming through the window thats actually a porthole behind him#and says people die lem#you think id be any less destroyed if it was you?
