now ok in light of the recent reboot announcement and also im just thinking about it again: is ranma 1/2 "good"??? well i haven't seen it since i was twelve so i do not know. probably not, altho it was very compelling to me at the time. the key thing about it however is that it made me both gay and trans, and also i adore rumiko takahashi's art style, so i'm inclined to be very forgiving of its many, many, many sins even though i'm pretty sure it doesnt deserve that. but also im not willing to rewatch to find out lmao
