Remember Me
Pairings: Elijah Mikaelson x Fem!Reader
Warning: funeral, cancer, death
Notes: this is kinda sad boi hour, elijah spends the day remembering you after you’ve died kinda thing
Word Count: 2064
Elijah leaned against the doorway, watching as you were listening to music loudly in your earphones while putting on makeup. Your mouth as slightly opened as you focused on applying your mascara, flinching every time you brought the tip closer to your eye.
The bright yellow sundress you had picked out for the day still hung on the wardrobe door as Elijah woke up, the suit he was wearing had for a second left red indentations on his skin which healed as he stood up. His eyes stopped at the dress, a sudden wave of feelings weighing down over his chest, knowing that you’d never get to wear it again.
Elijah walked over to the dress his hand bunching the fabric tightly in his hand while he smelled it, closing his eyes as he could recognize your perfume still present in the fabric.
You were sitting in a bench, leaning your head back to look at the sky, the sky was painted in a strong red burn mixed with the white and pink clouds it looked like a painting. Elijah was sitting beside you, one hand thrown around your neck like a pillow while he looked at you, smiling at your amazement at the sky.
“Don’t you two look disgustingly happy,” Klaus strolled into the courtyard with a grin as he watched you two. “Never seen a sky before Y/N?”
“Fuck off,” you answered, not even looking at him.
“I think you’re adorable,” Elijah stated and leaned down to place a kiss against your now blushing cheek.
“Fuck off,” you repeated, this time a mumble as you looked at Elijah.
“I’d prefer not,” he answered. “You could come with me.”
“As I said, disgusting,” Klaus muttered as he watched you blush deeper but answered with a yes, following him up to his room. “At least lock the door this time!”
“Elijah?” Freya knocked on his door, she sounded hesitant, saddened as she waited for a few seconds before opening the door. “Are you coming?”
“This is what she wanted,” Elijah told Freya absently while keeping his eyes on your dress. “The party, the people, down to every little pebble... I want to honor her wish— but all I truly want is to stay right here and bury myself in her dresses and shirts and every stupid little thing she left here.”
“We miss her too, and honestly I’m pretty sure none of us wants to celebrate her death,” Freya stepped inside and placed a arm around Elijah’s shoulder, which he didn’t even react to. “But she told us— very clearly— that we can cry and be miserable at any time but not today, she wanted us to remember her as she was—“
“Happy, fearless, smoking a cigarette while looking at the man she loved after a good round in the hay,” Elijah continued and chuckled slightly. “I don’t want to forget it, that feeling of being loved by her... it’s something extraordinary about it, like you’re drowning and she just pulls you up and you never want to be without her again, yet here I am.”
“Come on, if we leave now I won’t tell Nik you’re wearing the same suit as yesterday,” Freya teased him, noticing the small tug of his lips as he nodded wrapping an arm around Freya’s waist. “He’s been drinking, I never thought they were that close.”
“Niklaus has a funny way of showing he cares, with her I guess it was by endlessly mocking her,” Elijah looked down the hall with a frown. “You know, he fought harder about treatment with her than I did, he said something about making sure she’d be Izzie Stevens. How she’d managed to get him to watch Grey’s Anatomy I never understood.”
Freya chuckled lightly and stroked his arm as Elijah let go of her. “One day, Elijah, than we’ll mourn.”
Elijah sat beside you, looking at the wall above the doctors head, scanning some of the documents. You had been in for a regular check up and mentioned some recurring headaches after a fall down the stairs, (which was actually you ending up in the crossfire of some vampires arguing), and after some testing and scans you had been told to call someone, if you needed it. And you called Elijah, thinking it’d be something like a concussion and you’d need a ride, but no instead you two had been taken to meet an oncologist.
“How long do I have?” Elijah was torn from his focus on the wall. “It’s bad right? You have that look in your eye, like she’s only started her life and now she’ll die, so how long? Five years?” The doctor was about to answer but you cut her off again. “It’s shorter, right? Three? Two? Do I even have one?”
“With treatment, statistics give you a year, some live five but—“
“I am dying, anyways?” You filled in, getting a nod in response. “What’s the treatment?”
“We start with surgery, then chemotherapy and you’ll have to take medication,” you looked over at Elijah who had placed his hand on yours squeezing tightly, you imagined he wasn’t really listening anymore either. Vampires, werewolves, witches, hybrids, ex’s. Somehow you two had been through it all together yet neither of you had thought of this, a glioblastoma. A brain tumor.
“And this will give me, a year?” You asked.
“Some get more some less.”
“My grandmother died from cancer, when I was 15,” you leaned back slightly. “The last thing I told her was that she looked sick, and she answered that she was and that she’d wished she had rejected the treatment because she would die anyways. All she wanted was a little more time— I’ve had time and if I get a year where I can’t really live, I’d rather go sooner.”
“Perhaps you two should take some time to discuss—“
“No,” you answered, squeezing Elijah’s hand to get his attention back to where it belonged. “I’ve decided. Do I need to sign something?”
“Yes, a few papers...”
Klaus had saved seats for Elijah and Freya at the front, looking as miserable as Elijah felt even though Klaus had clearly attempted to clean up for the moment. People were chattering amongst themselves while waiting for the priest.
“I can’t believe she chose a service after all,” Klaus muttered and looked at Elijah who shrugged.
“It’s for appearances, she said something about wanting to be the talk of the town and all her friends and family who hadn’t spoken to her since she moved away from Mystic Falls,” Elijah told him and nodded towards the cluster of Mystic Falls residents sitting on the other side of the church. “She wanted to for once outshine Elena Gilbert and her main character aura.”
Klaus chuckled slightly and looked towards your coffin and shook his head. “I loved her, even though I never told her or you— she was the girl who always saw me as family and the only one I will ever approve for you.”
“She loved you too, that she did tell me,” Elijah informed him and a fond smile spread over his lips. “Sometimes she’d say that had you only been a brunette I’d have a run for my money.”
“I knew she had a thing for brunettes!” Klaus smiled as he looked over at his brother. “Brunettes, suits, and impeccable taste in wine...”
“The ideal man,” Elijah sighed. “I—“
The sound of people talking stopped as a priest walked up to the middle of the church and looked out over the people.
“Today, we have gathered here not to mourn, but to celebrate and honor the life of Y/N Y/L/N...”
You ran down the stairs while holding your hand over your mouth, Klaus and Freya both looked at you as you passed them before making it to the bathroom. The sound of you hulking over the toilet followed only seconds later.
“Y/N?” Freya came after you and gathered your hair in her hands, rubbing your back soothingly. “Should we call Elijah?”
“No, no,” you dismissed her and felt the tears gather in your eyes. “I sent him on Hope duty, he needed some distraction.”
“Do you need painkillers? It’s your cramps right?” Klaus asked from outside, already holding the pills in his hand.
“No, it’s not,” you answered and looked away from the toilet while flushing, the tears were starting to run down your face as you grabbed paper to wipe around your mouth. “I’m sick...” they both nodded, thinking you were getting the flu or a stomach virus. “Cancer, I’ve got cancer,” Klaus stared at you while Freya stopped moving, her hand slowly falling from your back. “Brain cancer actually, which is kinda ironic seeing as we always say I don’t have one.”
“How long?” Klaus asked as he lowered his hand to his side.
“Have I known or how long?” You asked but got no answer as he only looked at you. “Elijah and I were at the hospital two weeks ago, and three to twelve months. Maybe more maybe less...”
“And the treatment, how have you been hiding it?” Klaus asked as you stood up from the bathroom floor and sat down on the toilet with a hesitant frown. “You’re not? You’re not getting treatment?”
“No, it’d would give me a few months in best case but I’ve seen what happens when on chemo, I won’t live a few extra months only to be around,” you told him and felt your heart drop as Klaus only walked away, throwing the painkillers on the ground as he did so.
Damon Salvatore might be the most annoying person on this earth, Elijah thought as he sat in a corner of the room decorated for a party and some were enjoying it to the fullest, like Damon Salvatore. Why Elijah hadn’t killed him? No idea, he should’ve, Elijah thought, back when he had the chance and reason to. Elijah diverted his eyes to the scene where a band was playing as Caroline climbed onto the stage, holding a white letter in her hand.
“Hello, I know most of you don’t know me but my name’s Caroline, I grew up with Y/N and well she was an amazing person,” Caroline smiled nervously as she looked around. “We hadn’t talked in a while when she got sick but when she did she asked me to do something for her, so I am, she asked me to play a recording tonight, so yeah, here it is.”
A click came from the speakers as Caroline connected her phone to them before your voice started streaming from it.
“Hello? I think this is working, it should be. I just wanted to let you all know that I love you, even Klaus, and I want to take one last chance to remind myself,” you cleared your throat, and when you spoke again it was clear you were crying. “remind myself, and everyone else, that being loved in a way that I’ve been by all of you— and mostly Elijah, is something I will never be able to express how thankful I am... so yeah, that’s all, I love you.”
“Dance with me,” you grabbed Elijah’s hand and pulled him of the couch with a smile. Elijah didn’t want to, you knew he didn’t want to but you wanted to, you needed to. Somewhere in the back of your head you knew you wouldn’t get to dance with him next week at the anniversary party you had planned. “I love you.”
“Stop,” Elijah whispered against your ear. “You don’t get to say that yet.”
“I just want you to know that,” you answered, he and you both knew it was more than that. “And you need to know—“
“I don’t need to know anything,” Elijah cut you off. “Not yet, it’s been three months. Not a year.”
“I love you, and when I’m gone, you get to move on,” you stated and swallowed the tears from your voice. “Because you I love you, and you me. You get to move on.”
Elijah didn’t answer, he only stopped dancing and wrapped his arms around you in a tight hug. You felt the first tear drop from his eyes on your head and with a gentle smile you looked up at him, kissing his cheek.
“I love you.”

Quite The Assumption
Pairing: Klaus x Reader x Kol
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1620
The weather is absolutely perfect outside as you’re reading a book, sitting just outside a cafe here in Mystic Falls. You took a sip of your coffee before placing it back on the small table, allowing yourself to get lost in this novel.
A moment later, a shadow casts over you briefly and you notice a figure take a seat just ahead of you. You glanced up, learning that it’s Klaus and your stomach stirs with excitement but on the outside you remained calm and collected.
“Hello love.” He said, smirking.
“Hi Klaus. What’s up?”
“I just so happened to be in the area and noticed you here all alone. I also wanted to say that I enjoyed our little date the other night.”
“I did too.” You flashed a soft smile, placing a bookmark at the page you left off at before closing the book. You’ve only gone on two dates with Klaus so far and both were amazing. The hybrid has definitely grown on you.
“Do you have any plans tonight?” Klaus asked.
“I’m not sure. I have to check my calendar in a sec.” You lied. You know that you have nothing planned tonight. “Why?”
“I am throwing a soirée at my mansion tonight. You are more than welcome to come.”
“Oh okay. What time does it start?”
“An invitation with details will arrive at your doorstep later.” He reached across the table for your hand, placing a gentle kiss over your knuckles before rising to his feet to disappear along the street.
You smiled from ear to ear at his gesture, unable to focus back to your book. There’s no doubt that you’ll join his party tonight.
(Later…)
It is a quarter past 8. You followed the details of the invitation and dressed semi-formal with a black body con off the shoulder dress that stops at your knees. You paired it with a pair of strappy black heels.
After one quick glance at your rear view mirror, assuring your makeup is still on point, you took your keys out of the ignition and hopped out of your car.
Stepping inside Klaus’s mansion, a waiter was quick to hand you a glass of champagne. The gesture alone instantly felt like deja vu from when you attended the Mikaelson ball not too long ago. You accepted the bubbly and went on your way to search for Klaus.
Through the crowd of people, you still couldn’t find him but happened to bump into Kol. You were slightly relieved to finally see a familiar face.
“Hello darling.” Kol greeted. “Pleasure seeing you here. Let me guess, you’re looking for Nik?”
“You read my mind Kol. Do you know where he is?”
“I do not. But I can keep you company in the meantime.”
“Sure thanks.” You clinked your glass with Kol’s, followed by taking a generous sip. “What is this party for anyways?”
“My brother didn’t get into the specifics with me. However, I enjoy a good party.”
Glancing around at the guests, you randomly made eye contact with Rebekah, who is conversing with someone you don’t know. She winks at you and you raise your glass to her as a greeting.
“Klaus sure knows how to throw a great party.” You mentioned.
“Silly me. I forgot to mention how stunning you look in that little black dress.” Kol commented. You fought the urge to blush from his compliment.
“Thank you.”
“And you bought it specifically for this party?”
“Actually no. It’s been sitting in my closet for awhile now. I’ve never found the proper occasion to wear it until now.”
“You should wear it again.”
You let out a chuckle, swallowing down the last bit of champagne. “You're funny. It’s not like I go to these kinds of parties often.”
“What I meant is, you should wear it on our next date.”
“Kol stop.” You nagged as you glanced around nervously, hoping Klaus isn’t in earshot.
“I’m serious, darling.” Kol said.
“You know that I’m kind of seeing your brother.” You rolled your eyes. A waiter came by, stealing your empty glass from you.
“And I kind of don’t care.” He challenged.
“You’re ridiculous.” You shook your head in amusement before walking off to search for Klaus again.
Finally, you see Klaus at the top of the staircase with the back of his head facing the crowd below. You notice that he’s lost in a conversation with a red headed female and you didn’t want to be rude by catcalling his name, so you slowly made your way towards the stairs. You couldn’t get over how handsome he looked in a suit and tie since he’s always dressed in a Henley shirt and jeans.
As you reached the second step, you noticed Klaus and his female acquaintance exchanging laughs. Next thing you know, she playfully hits him in the chest and that same hand found its way on his chest. You didn’t think anything of it until you noticed that Klaus allowed her hand to linger there.
You annoyingly felt a pang of jealousy and turned on your heel back to the first floor. A part of you hoped Klaus would have at least called or texted you asking of your whereabouts since you haven’t spoken to him since earlier this afternoon in front of the cafe.
“So Y/N, how about that date?” Kol said, suddenly appearing at your side.
“How about a drink first.” You marched towards the nearest waiter and stole a filled glass from the tray, taking a large sip of champagne.
“You see, my brother isn’t right for you. Bad temper, enemies around the world, and not as handsome as me.”
You couldn’t tell if you’re already buzzed from the alcohol or if Kol is downright funny right now. “You’re hilarious.” You chuckled, leaning your back against the nearest wall.
“I forgot to add, not as funny as me either.” Kol stepped forward, placing him palm beside your ear on the wall as he towered over you.
“Okay okay.” You put a hand up in defense. “Enough with all of the comparisons. I get it, you’re conceited.”
“You’re pretty and you have a sharp tongue.” Kol leaned down, whispering into your ear, sending a shiver down your spine. “You’re just my type.”
Before you had the chance to respond, you were rudely interrupted. “What the bloody hell is this?” Klaus asked with obvious distaste.
Kol grinned, pleased that he got a rise out of his older brother. He straightened his posture and snaked his arm around your waist.
“Oh hey Nik. I was just showing Y/N which Mikaelson is best suited for her.”
Instead of vamp speeding, Klaus took heavy steps towards his younger brother, holding him by the throat and slamming his back against the wall. He’s raging with so much fury that he didn’t care that all eyes are on him. “You just couldn’t help yourself, now could you, brother?! You’re so pathetic that you had to resort to compelling my date!” Klaus’s hand was so tight around Kol’s throat that he couldn’t breathe out a word.
“Klaus stop it!” You shouted.
“Niklaus.” Elijah announced, attempting to put his brother is check. His hand was placed inside his front pocket, standing beside you.
“Kol didn’t compel me!”
Klaus looked over his shoulder, eyes boring into yours. “What?” He let out in a loud whisper in disbelief, loosening his grip over Kol’s throat.
“Nik, what the bloody hell are you doing?” Rebekah asked, brows furrowed. Her heels tapped along the flooring as she made her way towards the scene.
You shot him a glare before storming off outside, not caring that you’re shoving into people along the way.
“Don’t point fingers at me, Nik.” Kol implied after catching his breath. “Go ask Y/N yourself why she’s cross with you and chose my company instead.”
Klaus followed after you without a response, ignoring the remarks that the party guests are exchanging with each other about what just happened.
The cool breeze hit him in the face. “Y/N, stop.”
“No I’m going home. It was stupid for me to come to this party.” You continued to walk towards your car with your keys in your hand. In the blink of an eye, you found Klaus in front of your driver’s door.
“Tell me, what did Kol say to you?”
“Why does it even matter?” You used all of your strength to shove him away so you can have access inside your car, but he’s got a thousand years on you and you couldn’t shift him. “Why don’t you go back inside and flirt with that red head some more.” You folded your arms across your chest, scowling at him in defeat.
“You can’t be serious, love.” He said with hint of amusement, which annoyed you even more because he is so goddamn handsome.
“Leave me alone. And don’t call me love.” You spat, advancing around your car to the passenger side, hoping you can get to your drivers seat from there. But, Klaus beat you to it with his vamp speed. His fingers lightly grasped your upper arms, holding you in place with your back against your passenger side door.
“I was not flirting with anyone. I only fancy you.” You rolled your eyes at his response. “In case you’re wondering, she’s a witch. I was only playing nice to be on her good side.”
“Fine I believe you. But playing nice doesn’t mean it’s okay for her to have her hands all over you!” You shook off Klaus’s grip and made your way back to the mansion.
Klaus snickered, following behind you. “And I thought I was the one with the temper.”

Legacies recap: Hope's battle with Malivore has a shocking end
There are a lot of things that make a good season finale. Shocking twists. Romantic confessions. And, of course, answers to the big questions posed throughout the year. Not only did this Legacies finale have all of those things, but it managed to bring together all the best elements of the season in a way that makes the entire season, as a whole, better. With every piece of the puzzle that was put together in this finale, you realized that the show had been setting the stage for it for a long time. This hour was funny. It was sad. It was shocking. And it offered up the kind of payoff that only the best finales can.
We start with MG’s mom showing up and tranquilizing both Nia and her son before moving her son to the secret tunnel underneath the school. (Mystic Falls loves secret tunnels, but did this exist in Vampire Diaries? I don’t remember a tunnel under the Salvatore mansion but a lot has changed.) MG’s mom is trying to get him to safety by sending him away from the school, which Triad is currently invading. It’s there that MG spots a blood fountain — it is even creepier than it sounds — which is preventing the students at the school from using magic. Realizing he can’t leave his friends, MG goes to hug his mom but instead, he uses her own tranquilizer gun on her.
With Dorian and Ric stuck at a roadblock — someone blew up Wickery Bridge, which is arguably the least-safe bridge in the world — the students are left to help Triad locate a chalice, which they believe to be the third artifact that can unlock Malivore. Shockingly, Hope is not into helping Triad. She, Josie, and Lizzie head into Ric’s office to find the school cell phone and call him. But that’s not all they find: Without any magic at the school, a cloaking spell on one of Ric’s bookshelves has worn off, and on it is a red box. More on that later.
Hope calls Ric, who asks her to do nothing, but of course, she ignores him. Ric then leaves Dorian behind to find his way back to the school, and in the meantime, Agent Burr from Triad decides to have a little fun and shoot one of the girls with a Malivore bullet. (It was formed from the pit and weaponized by Triad scientists. It can break the skin of any supernatural being and once it does, it will disintegrate its target from the inside.) Lizzie, finally about to have her martyr moment, tries to take the bullet, but Josie beats her to it.
The Triad agents then lock all three girls up, which leads to my favorite line of the episode, almost entirely because of its delivery. When the girls are talking to one another in their cell, a Triad agent tells them to be quiet, at which point Lizzie yells, “We’re not in the prison yard, asshat!” I love her so much.
Thankfully, MG isn’t far behind, and he knocks out the guard. He quickly tells Hope about the fountain, which she plans to shut down, and after that, they tell her to go after Landon. She’s been the hero all year. They got this.
Speaking of Landon, Clarke takes him to a Triad warehouse to find the third artifact, and when Landon brings him a fake chalice, Clarke reveals it was all a test. Plus, Landon didn’t have to look for the third artifact anyway. Does he remember taking the first two? Nope. He did it without realizing. And he’s done the same thing this time: The third artifact is in his pocket.
Once he hands it over to Clarke, they sit and wait for the next monster to show up. Clarke’s plan is to let said monster take the artifact back to Malivore and do their dirty work for them. And while they wait, Clarke tells Landon about his fate: Landon is the key to Malivore creating a new species — anyone else having Klaus Mikaelson hybrid flashbacks? — but he’s more than that: He’s Malivore’s host.
While Landon digests that terrible news, none other than the Headless Horseman shows up for the artifact. Clarke tosses it to him, but Landon decides to grab hold of the artifact so that the Horseman picks up Landon and takes him out of there. Doing his best Damon Salvatore impression, Clarke gives us his, “Dick move, brother.”
Back at the school, Ric arrives using the tunnels and shows Hope how to shut down the fountain, which is actually very easy. He then discovers that Josie was shot … but so was Hope? There’s a bullet hole in her sweater, but the bullet didn’t pierce her skin. Why? We don’t get that answer just yet, but we do find out that the fountain is a dark object that belonged to the Travelers, another Vampire Diaries villain. With that, Ric goes to save Josie, and Hope tells him to try giving Josie her blood.
Unfortunately, Ric barely makes it anywhere before running into an armed Triad guard, but Dorian shows up and saves the day. (Now he’s definitely getting that raise!)
After Lizzie realizes she can’t siphon the bullet out of Josie, the sisters apologize to each other and agree to go help MG. If Josie is going out, it’s going to be in a blaze of glory. And as soon as the fountain is disarmed, MG signals the troops, and every single student at the Salvatore School fights back (including Pedro!).
Ultimately, Rafael goes full invisible wolf thanks to a cloaking spell and takes down the terrible Agent Burr. Well, he takes him down temporarily. And when Burr gets back up, Nia is there to turn him to stone and save MG. (I sort of love them.) MG then stops Kaleb from killing the guy, because as he tells him, they have to be better. And with that in mind, MG confronts his mom and tells her that if Triad is their family legacy, they can’t be family anymore.
As for Ric, he shows up just in time to give Josie Hope’s blood, which again took me back to the Vampire Diaries season 2 finale when Katherine showed up just in time to give Damon Klaus’ blood. Josie recovers, but she has something to show Lizzie: She stole the red box they found in their dad’s office, and inside is something that looks very familiar to them both. (Vampire Diaries fans will recognize it as the ascendant, but I won’t spoil it beyond that at this point.)
Ric then calls a school meeting, where he tells the students the truth about the fountain: MG’s mom knew about it because Ric had it installed as a contingency in the case that the world ever needed to be protected from his students and not the other way around. He tells his students that he has betrayed them and proposes that the honor council decide whether Ric should remain their headmaster moving forward.
Back at Triad, the Horseman throws the third artifact into the pit, but Hope uses magic to stop it just before it makes contact. She then puts the artifact aside to kick some Headless Horseman ass in one of my favorite scenes of the hour. She uses her fight training while Landon uses his sci-fi knowledge to figure out how to kill this thing. The answer? Kill the head, the body dies. “That’s science fiction!” Landon yells when they defeat the Horseman.
He then runs up and kisses Hope, only stopping so that she can tell him she loves him. And he loves her too. But as sweet as that is, now isn’t exactly the time for romance because Clarke is back … and he just threw the third artifact into the pit.
Landon, going full badass, uses the Headless Horseman’s whip to snap Clarke’s neck before updating Hope on the whole “Malivore is my father” thing. And once she’s caught up, Hope concocts a plan … but it’s not one Landon’s going to like. So, she kisses him and then snaps his neck. (Don’t worry, he’ll come back. He’s a phoenix, remember?!)
Hope then calls Ric with her plan: Malivore was created by the blood of a werewolf, a witch, and a vampire, and only they could destroy him. But nature created a loophole with Hope. She’s the tribrid. The Malivore bullet didn’t affect her. Her blood cured Josie. She’s not a cosmic mistake, and her purpose is clear: She’s the answer to all of this.
Hope tells Ric that she finally understands why her dad sacrificed himself for her, and furthermore, she finally realizes that she has friends. Maybe she would’ve realized that sooner if she hadn’t been beating herself up for years. Ric tells her that he’s proud of her, and she asks him to have the maintenance staff pack up her room. As for Ric, he’ll need to burn her files. When she does this, she’s going to be wiped from their memories, and she needs it to work to keep them from the pain of losing her. Ric promises to do just that, and she hangs up.
But before she can jump into the pit, Clarke wakes up. It seems a snapped neck doesn’t kill him. (I guess he was molded from mud? That’s a weird sentence.) And surprisingly, he doesn’t want to stop Hope. He claims he was only resurrecting Malivore because he figured dear old dad would find a way out eventually and he’s terrified of him. But if Hope can kill him, he’s all for it.
Hope, being the badass that she is, decides to do a little mimicking spell. She learned it in second grade. And this way, when she jumps into the pit, Clarke, well, he follows the leader.
After Hope does that, we cut back to the school where poor Raf is stuck as a wolf and Ric is burning the files. It’s clear he can’t figure out why he was doing that, but then he finds the note he wrote himself: “Fort Valley, GA. Find Landon.” Ric then calls the recently-back-from-the-dead Landon and neither of them can figure out what’s going on. Ric mentions the note and Landon asks the million-dollar question: “Who left it?” Ric tells him, “I have no idea.”
Finally, Landon looks to where the pit used to be and it’s just a big hole in the ground. Malivore is no more … but the same can be said of Hope.
Talk about a hero journey for Hope Mikaelson. Not only did this finale complete that arc for her, but it dealt with things that dated as far back as The Originals. Plus, it set up a number of new mysteries for next season, the biggest of which being: What are they going to do about Hope … once they remember her?
The Vampire Diaries universe has always excelled at finales, and this one was no different. With Hope’s victory, the show achieved its own.

Or so he thinks.
“I don't know. Ask Damon.”
Klaus laughs out loud, while Elijah seems to be startled by Stefans reaction “I'm sorry, you've missed so much.” He says Ah, trouble in paradise.”
“One more word about Elena and this dinner's over.” Stefan flashes Klaus a false smile, his eyes dead serious.
Klaus smiles and puts a finger to his lips as a promise to keep quiet about Elena.
“You know what, probably best just to keep Elena in the do-not-discuss pile.” Damon
“You're probably right.” Klaus agrees “It's just the allure of the Petrova doppelgänger, still so strong. What do you say, brother? Should we tell them about Tatia?”
“Now why should we discuss matters long since resolved?”
“I don't see the point either.” You shrug “You fell in love with Tatia like you two fell for Katherine. And Elena.”
“Well there are other stories to tell, Y/N.”He says and stares at you, torturing you with his eyes “For example, there is your undying love for my brother Kol.”
“What?!”Damon chokes on the wine he was drinking, glaring at you from across the table.
That bastard.
The room falls completely silent. Merely the fireplace crackling in the background deflects from the fact that everyone is staring at you. Only Stefan looks at the ceiling, rolling his eyes at Klaus awful timing.
Speaking of Klaus, he, of course, smiles like a Cheshire cat.
“Oh, you were unaware of your sisters love affairs?” He says fakely offended by his indiscretion “How rude of me.”
“Niklaus, this is not the time to-” Elijah begins, the Peacekeeper in him in full swing, but Damon interrupts him
“No no do tell. We´re curious, right Stefan?”
“Not really, no.” Stefan shakes his head “I know all I need to.”
“You knew?!”
“Leaving the oldest brother in the dark. What a turn of events.” Klaus puppeteers yet again.
You bite the inside of your cheek to avoid saying anything about Klaus unnecessary commentary.
Damon once again proves that he doesn't trust you still. Not even when it comes to love.
“Are you gonna say anything or are just gonna sit there?”
“What do you want me to say? I won't apologize for falling in love. “
“Love? You can't actually think you one, know what love is and second, think that he, a Mikaelson is capable of anything remotely close to love.” He blurts out suddenly unaware of his environment. He looks at both Mikaelson brothers and raises his hands in defense “No offense.”
“And you would know that how? Right, you don´t. You haven't known me for centuries.” You glare at him, your fury rising to an already unhealthy level “Besides, I don't see why you should be allowed to judge me anyway, considering your past. Or present.”
“That has nothing to do with-”
You plunge the knife you had been clutching into the expensive table, the pinch damaging several inches “It has everything to do with that!”
“Finally!” Klaus claps as if to congratulate himself “I feared you’ve lost your fire.”
“I'm so fucking sick of your double standard.” Damon swallows, quite a bit baffled by your sudden offense “Need I remind you, you are in the same exact situation with yet another doppelganger claiming to be so in love you’re willing to sacrifice your relationship with your own brother. Do I like any of that? No. Do I judge you because of it? Actually yes, but I would never tell you what to do. So, don´t you dare judge me or the only good thing that has ever happened in my life. Don´t you dare.”
The room falls silent yet again, only the breathy laugh of Klaus on the opposite side of the table. He, of course, seems to enjoy this quarrel, especially because for once it's not him and his sibling's bickering.
Must be refreshing indeed.
“Now now, we don't intend to judge anybody, now do we? Your brother, as well as I, are merely curious about how you came to know of my brother's whereabouts in the first place.” Klaus asks, more satisfying his curiosity than Damons “Somebody must've sent you. I would´ve known if a Salvatore lived in New Orleans.”
“Do you really want to know who send me? I don't think you'd be happy with the answer.” You say and Klaus narrows his eyes, trying to gather any information as to who you're referring to.
“You were sent? Like a spy?” Stefan asks, now curious despite his previous statement.
“You could say that.” You nod“ It was in 1913. I was ordered to gather information about the Original family. So I did. When I learned of Kols history I discharged my mission and we joined forces.”
“Why would you do that?”
There it is. The moment at the crossroads. You could either go down the same path you´ve been trodding on since you returned to this dreadful town. It's the path lead by the fear of losing your brothers again, so you kept secrets hidden behind lock and key or you sugar coated them to lessen the blow.
Then there's the unknown, foggy path, where every secret and bottled feeling lies out in the open. The road might be lonely, but if there is one feeling you´re used to it is loneliness.
Screw it. Nothing left to lose anyway.
Secret´s out. Better to abandon the path the led to nowhere.
“Because he was abandoned by his family like I was. The odd ones out that nobody seemed to care about.”
Stefan looks on his plate as does Elijah, a rush of guilt rushing over both of them. Stefan seems to feel responsible for sending you away after he figured out that you were the one that told your father about Katherine. And Elijah, well, he stood by while Klaus daggered his siblings and did nothing. Of course, he feels guilty. He should.
Klaus and Damon, on the other hand, don’t seem to be too faced by all of it. Their masks of anger and wit still glued to their faces.
“And somewhere along the line, we fell in love. Until he decided to take him away,” You reminisce, pointing at Klaus,“ simply because we planned on doing the same to him he did to all of his siblings.” You look at Klaus, his face unchanged, almost bored by the telling of your story. “And you saw it as a betrayal, didn't you? As if you never betrayed your family before.”
“And despite all your joined ambition look where you are now. Kol is safely tucked away, as is the key ingredient of the weapon that has the same effect as a common dagger. You´ve dealt your cards, now haven't you?”
He's right. You have dealt your cards and you don´t have an ace in the hold.
“So, that's why you waltzed back into town, isn't it? To find Kol?” Damon asks, eerily similar to Stefan only mere days ago.
“No, Kol not the only reason. I came back to help Stefan. And maybe even for you. Not that you care of course.”
“Now now, Y/N, don't forget the best part about your arrival. Or should I say Elijah´s arrival?
“Niklaus.” Elijah shakes his head, warning his little brother to stop treading on the path of alienating you and your siblings.
But Klaus being Klaus he decides to make things worse instead. “Tell me, who falsely lured my dear brother to Mystic Falls with the promising news of yet another Petrova doppelganger, hoping it be me who comes running?”
Stefan snickers at Klaus words and shakes his head in disbelief.
“Something funny?” Klaus asks, not quite understanding the reason for Stefan's amusement.
“Yes. You.” Stefan looks at him “She wouldn't do that, you're lying.”
“Such faith in your sister. It´s ill-placed I'm afraid.” Klaus sighs and looks over to you “ Isn't that right Y/N?”
Stefan glances over, his eyes fixated on you once he sees the guilt written over your face “Tell me he's lying.”
“I can´t. It's true.” Your voice is shaking with the heartbeat that seems to be stuck in your throat.
Stefan blinks once before he lowers his head, the truth sinking into his bones. You are responsible for Elijah finding Elena. You're responsible for Klaus coming back here and breaking his curse. And you are responsible for everything that has happened after.
How could is own sister, that he loves, be the cause of his misery that has befallen him?
“Say something, please.” You plead, burning tears of frustration and hurt threatening to fall from your eyes “Fine. We're right back where we started, aren't we? After everything I did for you.”
“You mean what you have done for yourself,” Damon speaks out what presumably everyone in this room is thinking.
“Nothing I did was intended to hurt you or Stefan, but believe whatever you need to believe. I know that my intentions coming back here were true. Not entirely unselfish, but true. If you can't see that, so be it.”
Klaus opens his mouth to pour another tinge of salt in open wounds, but Elijah stops him from doing so.
“That's enough.” he says “Why don't we move this evening along and discuss the terms of this proposal, rather than relive memories that have no place at this table?”
“You know what, you go right ahead. I'm done.“ You throw the handkerchief over the plate and get up “Congratulations, Klaus. You win. You burned me out. I give up.” You look at Stefan who refuses to even meet your gaze.
You don't even have to look at Damon to know what he shares his brother's fury.
Tears roll down your cheeks as you turn around, not looking back once. Slamming the door behind you, tears now freely running down your face blurring your sight.
You showed them the side you´ve been hiding. The rotten part of yourself. All the lies, loneliness and secrets were put out in the open. All the feelings of despair and loneliness.
You spoke the truth and you were judged for it. Worse, you´re ended up right where you started. Yet another set of memories that will soon crumble, be immortalized and buried six feet under.
What´s left to do then leave and never look back?
Exactly, nothing.
Meanwhile at the Mikaelson Manor
“Let´s get to the deal then. ” Damon says and leans forward, his elbows resting on the table “Klaus gets his coffin back, in exchange, he and the Original extended family leave Mystic Falls forever.”
“The deal sounds fair, brother.” Elijah shrugs.
“I don't think you understand. Elena's doppelgänger blood ensures that I will always have more hybrids to fight those that oppose me. I will never leave her behind.Nor will I leave my family.” Klaus shakes his head and gets up to pace the room “Let's say I do leave her here, under your protection, what then? How long before one of you turns her into a vampire? Or worse, how long before she dies caught between your feuding?” Damon looks at Stefan at Klaus words, but Stefan keeps his head down, still digesting the secrets that have been laid before him. “You see, each one of you truly believes that you're the one that can protect her, and that is simply a delusion. Gentlemen, the worst thing for Elena Gilbert is...the two of you.”
Damon gives Klaus a weak smile “I'm gonna get some air.”
“Let me deal with this.” Elijah springs up from his seat and follows Damon outside.
“Well, I guess the only reason you agreed to this evening, Klaus, is to drive a wedge between us,” Stefan says, as he paces the room. He can´t seem to sit still anymore.
“Oh no, you're doing that well enough on your own.” Klaus laughs, obviously still very amused by the chaos he caused.
Klaus and Stefan turn their heads as Elijah and Damon reenter.
“Elijah...is there a problem?” Klaus asked wearily, already sensing that something appears to be wrong
“Where are your manners, brother? We forgot dessert.” Elijah takes the cover off the tray one of the servants bring in.
Two silver daggers lie on it.
Klaus looks at the tray and his eyes widen “What have you done?”
“What have you done? You see, I've learned not to trust your vulgar promises, Klaus. And after your despicable act tonight I decided to abandon my tactic. We're doing this on my terms now.”
Right on cue, Kol enters the room, eyes burning at the sight of his bastard brother.
“Kol.” Klaus says, fear written over his features. Kol is the sibling he fears the most, especially now that he just severed the ties with you and your brother. Kol will be furious once he finds out.
And if Klaus and Kol share one aspect of their personality, it´s rage.
“Long time, brother.” Kol walks towards him and Klaus backs away.
The oldest brother Finn, now undaggered as well suddenly appears and grabs a dagger and stabs Klaus through the hand “Finn, don't!” Klaus rushes away, bumping into his sister.
“This is for our mother.” Rebekah stabs Klaus in the heart with the remaining dagger: She pulls it out the dagger out and Klaus falls back into Kol's arms and he restrains him.
Elijah looks at Damon and Stefan switching before his eyes land on Kol. Should he tell his little brother to go with them to find Y/N? Or would Kol feel even more excluded as he already does if he sends him away?
“Stefan, Damon, you're free to go.” Elijah says and gives them a nod “This is family business.”
“Salvatore?” Kol pushes Klaus over to Finn, the thirst for revenge overshadowed by the longing he feels for you.“Was your sister with you´?
“She left.” Damon answers shortly. He is still bitter about the secret you´ve been hiding. Right now, he couldn't care less where you are.
“Take me to her,” Kol demands.
Stefan and Damon share a quick look, having one of their silent conversations. They both know that if Kol is anything like his siblings, he won't take no for an answer.
Besides, Stefan can't help but think how you are dealing with this situation.
Even after everything you´ve done to get here, he knows that sometimes drastic measures like luring the Mikaelsons to Mystic falls and every chaos that has unfolded is necessary. If it was in this case, he has yet to figure out.
“Fine.” Stefan agrees to Kol´s demand “Let's start at home.”
Kol glances out the slightly dirty passenger window, outlandish looking cars fly by, accompanied by strangely dressed people either talking or looking at a handheld device.
It's safe to say he's confused by the sudden time leap. He feels even more like an outsider in this day in age, than he used to.
“So you´re-” Damon begins to talk, attempting to form some sort of non-awkward road conversation.
“I'm in no mood to talk. Especially not to you.” Kol blows him off. After everything you've told him about your family quarrels, Kol doesn't have the slightest desire to talk to Damon.
“Nevermind, I do have one simple question.” Kol shifts in his seat to catch a glimpse of Stefan in the backseat “Who do I have to torture to find out who scared Y/N away?”
“Who do you think?” Stefan scoffs, the answer obvious to him.
“Nik, of course.” Kol looks out the window, hands clenched and lip twitching.“Let me guess, you played his hand, didn't you?“
“It's her own fault. She could've told us the truth.” Damon says, the bitterness and fury hearable.
“Because you handle the truth exceptionally well the last time.” Kol scoffs and shakes his head.
Your brothers remind him so much of his own siblings. He too is always the first to blame or the one that´s judged the harshest, even if his own siblings committed as awful of atrocities.
Sometimes even worse ones.
Y/N | Boarding House
You´ve been crying all the way to the Boarding House. Calling it home now, would not be appropriate. At least not anymore.
Your brothers searched for the first indicator to push you away again. And Klaus served it on a silver platter. If they want to get rid of you so badly, so be it. You'll cross the town borders in the next minutes without looking back.
A new adventure awaits.
Another road redefined.
You swing the heavy bag containing your belongings over your shoulders, as you turn to get a last look at your room that has never quite felt like home. You close the door behind you, as well as the metaphorical door of this failed attempt to reconcile with your brothers.
Alone, like you´ve been used to for the last 100 years.
Maybe it's better this way. Wherever you to set foot in chaos soon seems to follow. They´re better off without you.
You open the front door, stepping outside under the darkening sky, your heart both heavy for leaving, especially the way you do, but the tiniest part of you feels freer.
Finally, they know what you´ve been hiding for a long time. Not everything still, but the most important parts.
You take a deep breath before turning to close the door behind you. The wind seems to pick up once you do, a swift breeze running down your back. Before the door fully closes, a firm hand wraps around your neck, squeezing tightly before pulling you into the darkness with a swift break. Your bag falls on the floor, as does your phone as your attacker drags you away at rapid speed.
Not a minute later, Damon speeds down the driveway and Kol jumps out while it's still moving, impatient to see you again. He has the brightest smile on his lips and he knows once he can wrap his arms around you, every pain he endured will be washed away.
He´ll know he´ll be whole again.
His smile quickly falters as he stops at the door that's still ajar, the bag on the floor catching his attention. He looks around him in panic, searching for any indication of you. When he can´t find one he kicks the door open in rage and worry, speeding through the entire house searching room for room, but nothing.
Kol balls his fist and returns outside, grabbing Damon by the neck holding him firmly a few feet above the ground.
If this would be any other vampire than your brother, he would go straight for the heart. But he knows no matter how much your brothers hurt you, you would never let anyone hurt them as long as if there's no way around it.
“Where. Is. She?” Kol grits through his teeth, voice dangerously calm and sharp.
“Knock it off! We don´t know where she is.” Stefan intervenes, but Kol doesn´t budge.
Stefan then switches from defense to offense and speeds towards him. Kol doesn't even have to look behind him to anticipate the attack and grabs Stefan as well.
“If you would´ve stood by her for once in your pathetic lives, she would be here. Now you will help me find her. And we will find her, do you understand?” They nod, face already red from the loss of oxygen.
“Very good.” Kol releases them and they heave for air, coughing their way back to normal breathing “Let's get started then, shall we?”
A/N: Guys, before I start, please put the pitchforks down!!! I know letting them miss each other by just a moment this is cruel, very cruel in fact. But how boring would´ve been if I just went with the normal plot line. I mean, I am a sucker for that overdramatic running into each other's arms thing, but the angst won once again.
Also, what do you think about the secret(is) revealed? Do you think Stefan and Damon overreacted? I know where I stand, where do you´? ;)

The Moment He Lost Her || Klaroline
Klaroline Infinity Day 4 - During Canon
TVD 4x13: Klaus rarely regretted his impulsive nature. In a thousand years, there was no problem of his own making that could not be rendered moot with time or some other pressing situation. With Caroline, however, he was learning that even his millennium of experience had nothing on the pull of this one baby vampire.
The door slammed shut, the sound like a jolt to Klaus's system as he watched them through the window.
Tyler carefully placed Caroline in the passenger seat of his car. Her pained gasp at the rub of her seatbelt was all that kept Klaus from rolling his eyes; she was a vampire who hardly needed such a safety measure.
He would have muttered a mocking joke they could easily from outside, if only he could find it funny. Humor had left him entirely at the realization that Caroline was leaving without the cure to the poison in her veins - the poison he put there.
Rubbing a frustrated hand through his hair, Klaus wanted more than anything not to care. She was the one to provoke him, to allow her wounded puppy off his leash to pick a battle he couldn't win. As the Original Hybrid, it was only to be expected for Klaus to react badly to the challenge posed by mere high schoolers. They ought to have felt lucky that a nasty bit was all he gave.
But as he watched Tyler drive away, the pit of regret in his stomach began to fester.
Klaus Mikaelson didn't have the time or patience for regret. The bitter self-awareness wasn't something he enjoyed and actively ignored in favor of more fulfilling diversions. A thousand years of guilt and seeking absolution seemed like an utter waste of his attention when he could drown his sins in a gorge of blood.
The stray taste of the rusted stain on his lip, however, sobered him completely. He had bitten Caroline on impulse. Less than three seconds of pleasurable spite had obliterated the last vestiges of her goodwill, the conviction that no matter what he might do to destroy others, Klaus would never hurt her.
With the burning look of hatred in her eyes as she stared him down, Klaus was sure that conviction had been lost.
It was a familiar realization; Klaus usually revelled in it. Perhaps the last time he felt so conflicted was when Rebekah had woken after her long sleep. Centuries of watching him dagger their brothers, but she was only incensed when he dared to turn on her. A part of him wanted to throw the comparison in Caroline's face, if only to elicit that competitive gleam of anger her expression adopted at any sign of challenge.
Caroline wouldn't rise to the bait anymore, not after his rash decision to bite her and especially if she wasn't healed in time before-
"No!" he growled, overturning the chair he'd been gripping too tightly. He paced the room in his agitation. The smell of his brother's ashes still burned in his nose, and death permeated his every sense. At least he could blame the doppelganger and her idiot brother for killing Kol - plotting their slow deaths would easily help to pass the time until he could leave their wretched living room.
But the worsening wound on Caroline's neck was no one's fault but his own.
Klaus wasn't even sure if he would take it back if he could. A crisis of conscience wasn't something he often suffered, but he should have known that little Caroline Forbes could inspire one. He didn't want her to die; even less did he want to be the cause. Those desires might not overpower his pride, he realized in horror.
As angry as he was at their stupidity, of leaving behind the only cure that could save her, Klaus was almost grateful to have the choice taken from his hand. Out of character for him, maybe, but that's what Caroline did. He constantly found himself doing things he never would, because of her. Biting her might be his most authentic action since allowing her even the slightest influence.
She couldn't mean his ruin if she were dead.
Clenching his fists, Klaus tried to push away the images filling his mind of her graying body. Would she be hallucinating yet?
Would she be thinking of him?
He hated that he wondered. If he could just get out of the godforsaken Gilbert house, he wouldn't have to wonder at all. He might charter a jet, get the hell out of Mystic Falls altogether and leave the confusion of it behind him forever.
His quick trip to Italy wasn't enough - Klaus decided upon Rome for his first destination once he waited out the Bennett spell.
"I'll take you, wherever you want. Rome, Paris. Tokyo?"
The memory echoed in his brain, the blunt force of it making him wince in imagined pain. It had been a ridiculous ploy to impress her, just a trick to prove he would always be the alpha male to whom all eventually submit.
Caroline wanted none of it. There was the spark of curiosity in her eye, but still she scoffed in his face and threw his bracelet down at his feet. He had faced stronger women before; it was the strength coming from one so young, so powerfully aware of the danger he posed to her and her friends, that ended up impressing him.
And he destroyed the bedrock to that strength with little more than a gnashing of his teeth. The impact of it kept coming in waves, disturbing Klaus to his core. Half of him wanted to tear out of the house and force his blood down her throat, the other half wanted to watch with a sick glee as she choked on her last breaths.
Klaus slid to the floor as the image filled him, his fingers feeling sticky like her blood was seeping into his skin. Head pounding, he laid back until each muscle of his body could relax the tension that had built immensely.
A werewolf bite acted quickly, and Caroline would need the cure within hours. Tyler would bring her back, he knew without a doubt.
He could wait. As long as it took, he would wait.
Caroline Forbes wasn't dying because of him. Klaus feared he could never forgive himself for allowing it.
He feared it might happen anyway.
Staring at the ceiling, he blinked away tears he hadn't noticed pooling in his eyes. How ridiculous.
By the time headlights flashed across the ceiling, Caroline's hacking coughs clearly audible for him, Klaus actually managed a small smile.
She was going to live, and he wouldn't have to lose her entirely.

The Originals Season 5 Episode 11: Nobody died during a wedding this time. Hurray
What a day to be alive. The last two episodes of the Originals is coming up and Caroline will be in both.
Review
The gang is back together. We are morning my baby’s death for like two minutes then Declan drops the bombshell. He knows everything, he is on vervain and wants to lead the human faction. And that was the moment I started hating Declan. He just crossed the line and is in the same annoying human cesspool as Alaric and Matt. Congrats to the Q´s most hated club. Feel free to mingle with her second hate group, which consists of annoying female protagonists in the shows. This includes Bonnie, Sybil, any Heretic but Valerie, Vicky, Antoinette, Camille and so many more all-stars. Marcel locks Declan up for now.
On the other side Freelin are all in love and stuff and are deciding to put on their wedding today. Elijah is kinda being selfish and says no to walking his sis down the aisle. They set the whole spiel up and then for ten minutes the wedding is in danger, because Freya announces she doesn´t want to have a family, because the Mikaelsons are all a broken family and she is scared to do that to a child. She is upset for like a minute until Rebekah tells her, Hey girl maybe you can do it. Yeah so with no effort Freya changes her opinion and there is a whole heartfelt emotional scene between Freelin, who as the Originals most beloved lesbian couple will from no on until eternity always referred to as one unit. Freelin forever.
Elijah’s story line was my favourite in this episode, but before that one let’s quickly jump to the Klaus and Hope plot. Klaus asks my girl Davina to help him with Hope. Davina the old wise sensei collects some tears from Hop after the girl cried on a rose about……I want to say Bill the archivist. He had one line and no personality, but I feel a connection between the two of us man. The tears are all magiced up and we find out that Hope is dying from the Hollow. It’s the whole the dark magic is killing you from the inside thing. What can they do? I don’t know, but surely something.
Now to Elijah. Elijah is struggling with a memory of Hailey we´ve never seen before. It turns out like a lot of Mikaelsons she did visit him in France. Elijah truly was at his best in France. She hides her name (sort of) and talks with Elijah technically about him and they go to an art gallery and flirt and drink and it´s really sweet and charming. They share a romantic moment and then Hayley leaves. They talk about finding each other in another life again and it´s so ironic it hurts, because in another life they did. He know, who Hayley was, when he attacked her Hayley actually wrote him a letter. Elijah is about to leave town like that selfish dude Vincent, who couldn´t even stay a couple hours longer for his really good friend’s wedding. Man
In the most dramatic fashion Elijah reads the letter and decides to stay. He goes to the wedding and both Klaus and Elijah walk their sister down the aisle
Well the wedding happens. Girl doesn´t Keelin have some sort of werewolf friends? Anyway it´s quite pretty and nice. Nobody died like Jo. I mean one could still die like Stefan. Weddings are not really great in this universe. In an ironic ha-ha they are ancient vampire moment Kol mentions something about an Italian monk in some century. How funny. Bitch I´m quaking…….Ok let’s move on.
After the wedding they dance a little and the concerned family looks at Hope dancing and getting tipsy on champagne. Fuck it up Girl. She gives a speech, which caught my attention. She said that with these happy moments she hopes to be part of Forever and Always too, which is quite sad when you think about it. At some point Hope will be dead and her father not. He can look over his grandkids for all eternity, but his daughter will die and Freelin too. Vincent and all the others will vanish and in the end it will just always be the Mikaelson siblings (+Marcel).
Marcel and Rebekah talk insisting that they will never be over and with a change of heart Marcel frees Declan and offers to teach him how to rule.
That seems about it.
Thoughts and theories
I have something to say about the brother hug scene. The symbolism is amazing in this scene. It not only shows the love between the brothers, but how time after time family love trumps romantic love on the show. The balcony is the same balcony Klaus and Camille kissed for the first time an obvious romantic moment, but Camille is as dead as my unexfoliated skin cells and not there anymore, but who is still there with Klaus on this balcony? It is his brother Elijah. The hug shoot parallels the Klaus and Camille kiss just also from the camera shot. Love and lust went and came for these brothers and this family for thousands of years and even when all their ex-lovers are only dust there will still be the two brothers on that balcony. I though the symbolism was truly incredible. Once in a blue moon I´ll recognize that in the show and I love it.
I have an actual theory. Call the boys and deliver the world the good news. I, master of everything and funniest person on the planet, predict Elijah’s afterlife. It will be in that bar in France, because that´s where he was the happiest. He will play piano for eternity right up there with Hayley. He will see her again after his life ended. It´s just logical knowing that their parting was so brutal and not romantic at all. It´s the typical make the audience feel good moment.
Next episode
So Hope is in critical condition. She goes through her first werewolf transformation since she triggered it with sweet old Bill an episode earlier. I guess it will worsen her condition, because they all talk about how it´s killing her and that she won´t survive the night. Spoiler: She definitely will. The suspense completely vanishes when the girl is already filming her spin off show.
Klaus and Elijah go to Mystic Falls to see Caroline, because she is an expert in tri-supernatural teenage girls with a curse inside? I don´t really know, but she has been an incredible guidance for Klaus this season and is always full of obnoxious/helpful opinions, so throw it all out there honey.
Elijah comes to some heart wrenching realization about Hope and I guess it´s that she is dying?
The most obnoxious part about the synopsis is that god damn Alaric Saltzman will be A: in it and B: being in the way of whatever plan Klaus has. God damn Alaric. He, Matt and Declan are really the definition of obnoxious white boys with blondish hair, who can´t keep their noses out of everybody’s fucking business.
The thing I´m most excited about though is that we will meet a bunch of characters from the new Legacies spin off. That will include Caroline’s twins, who are apparently mean girls now.
So I googled the characters of Legacy and there are a bunch of names of minor characters, but lets only discuss the main cast, which is Hope, the twins, Alaric and two dudes named Landon and M.G.
Landon is in the new episode in fact. I don´t know about M.G, but here is who those two dudes are:
M.G: He is the black character. DiVeRsItY. Fuck yeah. Look this shit is so ridiculous. He is like the Bonnie of the show. That one black main cast kid and I´m disappointed. Beside from that he is described as popular, kick-ass and brilliant nerd. Look either the kid is going to be gay or a best friend type to Hope, who will date a twin later or whatever. Since he is a student I would guess him to be a witch since he’s black and that´s often the case. Of course a werewolf is also likely, but I don´t think he´s a vampire. But to think of it the witches are pretty covered with the twins so maybe I lean to werewolf.
Landon: Now he is going to be more main than M.G I think. He is not a student, but I think he will be. I think at some point in Legacy he will turn. Either he has a werewolf gene or will turn into a vampire. I guess the later. His description has more to offer and it says he is a thoughtful, compassionate, self-aware, romantic kid desperate to escape his broken home and his small southern town. He has a shady past and investigating it could lead him into the dangerous world of the supernatural. Hope finds him when he is getting bullied, so good luck Landon cause last time she helped someone who got bullied people died. Maybe his shady past has something to do with either being a supernatural hunter or werewolf, but I´m so bored of all the definitions. Can´t he be something new? Like a mermaid? Or anything from the sea? Why? Anyway he is a hot contestant for Hopes love triangle. The actor looks like every dark haired, strong chin, white dude and sorry hoe but Roman is hotter than you.
Roman is actually not listed in Legacy, but I think that will be just a matter of time until the last season finishes and then they´ll add more. They do that a lot on the internet to avoid spoiling too much. I think I want to see Roman again, because after all he is quite hot and I think diamond boy is growing on me a little, but don´t think that saves you hoe, because I change my opinion in a split second.
That´s almost all of my information about the next episode and Legacy characters, but before I´ll go I think the title says a lot about what maybe could happen.
The title is a “Tale of Two Wolves” and that story is actually quite a famous Native American legend. It´s about a grandfather telling his grandson a story about two wolves fighting. When his grandson asks which wolf won the fight he says whichever wolf he chose to feed. What that basically means is a metaphor about an inner conflict a person has. It could be good or evil for an example. Good and evil fight in your brain to “win” to influence you. Which side of yourself wins is determined by the actions you take and if their good or evil. For example if you´re doing malicious things the “Evil Wolf” wins in your brain. I hope that was somewhat understandable.
If we see it from a Good vs evil standpoint it could mean the Mikaelson family especially Klaus who constantly battles with that. The Wolfs of course references the werewolves in the show. That transition into one is what Hope goes through. Finally Hope is fighting a battle in her head right now, with the hollow spooking around and destroying her. I like the idea actually of that being what saves Hope. Choosing to oppose the Hollow, who obviously is an evil, corrupting spirit with her own good nature?
So yeah.
I´m out kids
The review for the Tale of Two Wolves will be out about two or one day before the finale because I got plans and I´m going to be gone
