i lost the original ask for this but basically, they asked for crutchie hcs where he liked the reader who was an artist like jack  

but this is more of an origin of him meeting the reader because i got inspired™ 

but if y’all ever want me to make more headcanons with this same trope i would be happy to!

it’s also terribly long. basically a whole ass fic without proper punctuation and grammar. aka my favorite thing to write. 

•you had always loved art

•but you had only begun to make art in your teenage years

•because ya know. fear of not being good enough is a JERK

•but you really decided to give art a try when this drawing flew into your room one day from the building next door

•It was so colorful and enchanting and the physical representation of everything you wanted to create

•you had never tried to make anything like it before because, again, you were too afraid that you would fail

•but seeing it laid out before you like that flipped some sort of switch inside of you

•you were tired of dreaming and wanted to start doing

•so you picked up the nearest pencil and paper and went to work

•it took you a while, but you finished it and felt more accomplished than you ever had before

•after that sketch, came more and more until you had filled up about half of a notebook

•and after that moment of glory, you realized that you had to find the owner of the drawing and thank them

•maybe even get them to teach you their ways (or at the very least see if they had any tips or tricks - i mean it couldn’t hurt to ask, right?)

•so...

•later that week, you decided to go over to the neighboring building and see who made the masterpiece that had caused you to pick up the paintbrush

•You went over with the artist’s sketch in your hand and your first sketch tucked away in your bag

•(it’s one thing for the artist to see it but the rest of the world seeing it? that’s something you didn’t think you were ready for)

•you knocked on the door and were immediately met by a scraggly blonde boy whose face lit up when he saw the piece of paper in your hand

•“oh thank god, that boy has been freaking out all day. If you wanna give it to him, he’s on the roof. or you can give it to me to give to him and we’ll say that you owe me a favor”

•he winked and even though he was cute he wasn’t what you were there for

•so you climbed the fire escape, ready to meet this incredible artist and finally share your ideas with someone other than your pet

•when you got up to the roof, there was a guy around your age, facing away from you and staring at the skyline

•you cleared your throat to catch the stranger’s attention

•he turned around to face you and your jaw hit the floor

•before you stood this absolutely adorable boy who smiled at you with the most heart-warming smile you had ever seen in your life

•it took you a second to you compose yourself and stop staring

•but once you did, you noticed his eyes go wide, just beginning to stare

•he was gawking at you almost as if you were the greatest thing he had ever seen

•(to him, you actually were, but he’d turn bright red if he ever had the courage to tell you that)

•he was so endearingly awkward that you lost your train of thought

•then you finally regained your composure, you started to ask for his name but you were interrupted by the entrance of another boy

•you turned to face the new boy and saw the paint stains all across his arms.

•“how’d you get up here, sweetheart?”

•“a boy name Race said I’d find the owner of this drawing up here”

•you held up the painting you had become so familiar with and the paint-stained teen’s eyes went wide

•“i thought I lost that forever! How’d you get it?”

•you smiled so wide realizing you had actually found him, you found your inspiration

•“it flew in my window last week and it actually gave me the courage to make something of my own”

•“that’s incredible! Crutchie, come take a look at this! they brought back my painting!”

•the boy (who you now know to be Crutchie) walked over to join the two of you

•once again, Crutchie cause you to lose all focus, and you quickly lost your train of thought

•he smiled seeing his friend so happy and you were just so mesmerized by his smile

•and i mean mesmerized

•like, i mean, jack had to snap in front of your face to pull you out of your trace

•anyway, you showed him (and crutchie) your sketch

•they were floored, to say the least

•you had an enormous amount of talent and he made you promise, right there, to keep going with your art

•you asked him if he would be able to teach you

•he told you that you were so talented, he couldn’t teach you anything you didn’t already have down

•but he also said that he knew how to make sure you could practice in a way so your work would actually be seen

•before he told you anything more, he had Crutchie go with you back to your place to get the rest of your notebook

•(don’t doubt Jack, he knew what was up as soon as crutchie smiled at you and he was gonna help his boy in any way he could)

•after you got all of your stuff, he had Crutchie take you to Medda

•Jack was too busy with his political cartoons to paint any new backdrops for her but she had been desperately wanting a new one

•so he sent you her way in the hopes that you could solve her problem and continuing painting in the process

•on the way to Medda’s, Crutchie started asking you all sorts of questions and you found yourself laughing and smiling more than you thought possible which was strange yet calming?

•it was easy to fall into a rhythm that made it seem like you had been friends forever

•when you got to the bowery, medda asked you if you could paint a backdrop then and there as a test while she interviewed you

•you were frightened, to say the least, but Crutchie assured you it would be okay

•he even stayed with you the whole time Medda was interviewing you

•he was also the first one, besides Medda, to see the finished product

•he loved it, and Medda loved it (but Crutchie loved it more because it was your work)

•you had done so well, Medda hired you

•you originally only did the backdrops but she loved you so much that you practically became her personal assistant that way she could always have you around

•this meant that you spent nearly every day at Medda’s, having the time of your life

•this also meant that crutchie knew where you were most of the time and could come “annoy” you whenever he pleased

•(he never annoyed you-you loved having him around)

•he would come to spend time with you in the theatre around lunch and you would buy a pape from him every day on your break

•you would also watch the sunset every day on the roof of the Lodge or, as he kept calling it, the “Penthouse”

•you spent as much time together as possible

•spending time with him was like a breath of fresh air, everything felt easy

•little did you know, it wasn’t that easy for him.

•being with you felt easy but he felt the need to do everything he could to keep you interested

•(our brave lil softy doesn’t have to do much to keep you interested but fear of rejection plagues us all)

•he was exhausted, pulling out all the stops: telling his funniest jokes, cheesiest pickup lines, weirdest newsies stories, weirdest headlines

•he didn’t want to bore you

•you were an incredibly talented artist with so much going for you and he felt like he was barely average next to you

•but he didn’t realize that being in his company made you so incredibly happy that it felt like you were floating

•you were constantly left in awe of all he knew and also left groaning at his terrible jokes

•he was your muse and you never went a week without making a new sketch of him

•your favorite is one where he’s sitting on the edge of the penthouse during sunset-you were on your own rooftop and he was facing away from you

•he didn’t even realize you were there, to be honest

•(because he was too busy thinking about you and what joke he was going to tell you the next time he saw you)

•that one is hanging in your room and you look at it constantly (he thinks it’s because you are just looking at what to make better)

•(the boy is clueless)

•(but you are too because Medda keeps trying to tell you that he likes you

•(but she can’t seem to get it through your head)

•“don’t be stupid, honey. that boy likes you more than pulitzer likes profits”

•but you ignored her and decided to live in your little bubble imagining what it would be like to be his

•not knowing that he was sitting right next to you thinking the exact same thing

hello friends !! i am v v tired and emotionally distraught over the fact i was wrongfully terminated today but in more exciting news, this blog has officially turned ONE month old and i hit 200 followers today :-) thus, this calls for my first follow forever. i’ll also be prefacing it with a super cheesy blurb abt how much i love this blog and all of y’all, so buckle your seatbelts and get ready to go !!

when i started this blog, i had no idea i would experience this much joy from writing and interacting with all of you !! i had rp'ed in the past in groups, indie, and 1x1, but this was my first time really entering the krpc, or for those of you don't know korean roleplaying community. i remember using kpop fcs in groups and often being ignored for not using a lot of the mainstream fcs in american pop culture. now that i have this blog, i feel so #blessed to be able to interact with others who use kpop fcs and have high-quality writing as well !! on a more personal note, this blog has really helped me keep in touch with my writing and overall self. writing has always been difficult for me bc i felt like it was so time-consuming (not like i have anything else to do) and obligatory especially within the tumblr community, but all of you have been so patient while i dealt with irl problems such as work and college !! as a result, it really encourages me to try my hardest and push myself as a writer to reply as efficiently as possible. occupying myself like this has kept my mind off of other things going in my life in a way that my own personal writing outside of tumblr couldn't do. it always took me back to the dark place where i was alerady at, a lot of relating to my own personal experiences. now i'm ngl, there's some self-insert here and there with my characters. wooyoung was created to help me sort out my alcoholc tendencies. but the stories themselves take on an entirely new light, your muses helping mine develop into BETTER characters and people overall. being able to create this growth not only encourages me as a writer, but as a person as well. i personally connect with my characters a lot even if they lead different lives than me and care for them as if they were real. even if i'm not always the strongest for myself, knowing that i have my muses, our threads, and a loving community keeps me grounded. i don't rly have many other ppl in my life, so to have the krpc supporting and interacting with me has given me the boost i need. thank you all so much for that. now onto the more fun stuff !!

@chimxrical​: although i touched upon it briefly in my other positivity post, you've helped both me and hongbin grow so much. ours was the first thread to truly grab me and push me beyond the standard threads that die out or don't grow very much. you always replied so quickly and it rly made me excited to see how interested you were in our thread as well. i never expected hongbin to grow to as much as he has thus far, only the construct "sugar daddy politician" in my mind when i first conceived him. he had an icy air as part of his job that i myself even couldn't penetrate through at first without meifen warming up to him. his interactions with her really unveiled to me the more intimate layers of his character, that he had a lot of pain and tenderness going on beyond his work. that he didn't always have to be as tough as his work made him, that it was okay for him to dive into the softer dimensions of his personality. i didn't go into hongbin x meifen with all the details that we know about him know like his schizophrenic mother and his strong notions of justice and making the world a better place. but the more he interacted with meifen, the more insight i began to gain into who he was and how deeply his details connected with me. hongbin and meifen's (and don't forget kyungri's) headcanons have always brought joy to me and i love thinking of how far hongbin and meifen will get together the more that our thread develops. and for you as a mun, you've always been SO patient and supportive. whenever i have questions or just want to share something with you, you welcome me with open arms. you have such a kind heart and it shows through all of your characters. thank you for always being there and your wonderful replies to our threads <3

@sekairph​: we've only known each other for a short time but we already fangirl over exo and wooyoung x kiara together and it's so wonderful. i love how much work you put into tumblr from your replies to your resources as a rph and your content is always on point !! i remember when u first messaged me and called me out for how much i reblog you like i honestly didn't even know i was reblogging all of it from you i'm just exo trash rip. your writing is so good and i love hearing insight on kiara with each reply, not strictly limiting into dialogue. our characters have sm natural chemistry and the plot we selected was so bomb like ?? you're so sweet and i wish you all the best and that you'll dream sweet dreams of sehun the next time you sleep. i can't wait to plot more in the future and see where kiara and wooyoung go !! his personality has really started to take more shape around her since i rly didn't know what i was doing with him at first lmao and it's helped me so much with his character so thank you for that :-)

WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO RP WHEN IT COMES TO SHIPPING?: 

I like little glimpses at what they’re like living together, little pictures of moments from the mornings or lazy days around the house, those sort of “wrap your arms around them from behind while they’re doing dishes” and fluffy-garbage-shit, but the bulk of that I prefer to cover in headcanons and banter with my partners, as it’s not usually super interesting to thread. One-liners and short stuff here and there is all good, but I prefer to dig into the meaty bits when we’re really writin’.

Stuff like big disagreements, traumatic episodes, the angsty, holy shit why would you kinda thing, as well as them really doing stuff together. Mari’s a world-traveling criminal with an adrenaline addiction, so I think she really shines with people who get into trouble with her, and there’s a lot of relationship to be explored in there.

Also, basically as soon as a ship is confirmed between her and someone else’s muse, there’s almost inevitably a night where me and the other mun end up throwing down for a few hours and end up explaining, plotting, and talking about their entire relationship so it goes from 0 to 100 real quick, even if they’re still practically strangers in our official threads. Oops, all berries.

HOW LARGE DOES THE AGE GAP HAVE TO BE TO MAKE IT UNCOMFORTABLE?: 

Yeah I’m gonna go with the easy, good shit and say no minors-- this obviously has it’s exception in the handful of aus & verses where Mari is, herself, a teenager, but in that case there’d be no chance of her usual shit. I don’t really write smut, but I certainly won’t write anything sexually suggestive with underage muses or muns. Them’s the rules, kids, you’ll be a big grown soon enough.

In terms of the upper end, I’d say there really... isn’t one... Mari’s pretty hypersexual, as you’ve probably noticed, and age doesn’t particularly bother her. If it seems like they’re capable (wink wonk), she’ll probably give it a go. Maybe that makes the cut off like, I dunno, in their early 70s?? If there’s a ceiling, we haven’t found it yet. Anything meaningful, for sure. haha most of my ship partners for mari aren’t active anymore, so I’d say currently it’s Wy (fucking duh [ @cadcnce ]) and to some extent the Boss (@puckish-rogue ) [but that’s pretty different imo] and some Soft Good Shit w/Jamie (@valorandheart) [but we haven’t talked about that As Much]. Kinda, yeah, but the reason I like it so much is more about seeing what we can find out about/build more in our muses and their characters than it is about aw look at them they’re so cute they should smooch and be happy. I like building relationships that are interesting because I like doing interesting things with my daughters. ARE YOU MULTISHIP?: 

Yyyyyyeeeesss, but as I’ve specified before, in a weirder way than most people. Until a relationship reaches REAL levels of PRETTY EXTREME COMMITMENT, all of Mari’s “relationships”/flirtations/FWB arrangements-- all of those exist in her “canon”. Like, she might be chillin’ with you one night, and then skip over to another muses’ pad the next day. And it’s totally available for your muse to know that and comment on it/know about the other people she’s seeing. She’s not exactly secretive.

When she does get particularly ROMANTICALLY involved with someone, that moves into it’s own verse, with exception for some special plots (which would be discussed beforehand). As mentioned in this post, Mari will try to be faithful in her important romantic relationships... it just might not... work out... anyways.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SHIP IN YOUR CURRENT FANDOM?: 

Mari & Emi. Oh my god they’re so good. I love them. My rival, shitty, bad decision daughters. (I’m mostly fandomless, so, I’m referencing a ship with one of my other OCs. It’s my fandom, get it.).

FINALLY, HOW DOES ONE SHIP WITH YOU?: 

After we’ve touched our toes in some threads and started getting a little conversation going between our kids, if you feel somethin’s there and you wanna talk about it, hit me up.
