#@ the anon about the interviews : yeahhhhhh but. it's all a very recent thing for them#and public speaking and expressing complex things on the fly is so hard#and they haven't had any training for this#and people just take things massively out of context#in french it sounds a lot less bad#i hate how the internet picks soundbites and spins their own narratives with it#and yeah the way they talk is pretty fitting with French culture in general like people are a lot less familiar with debates#around identities and labels and the right words like in the us or other english speaking countries so#i think they still have some growth to do but overall they're doing great#and everyone needs to chill a little#because this context is just not good for learning tbh#esp when ppl are twisting their words and always picking the worst possible explanation for what they said#anyway yeah i said what i had to say on the subject#sorry i'm not publishing yr asks but yeah i don't want to debate this forever tbh#i just think french culture (and everyone) in general should be aware of the fact that some of us are proud of being queer and think it's#a positive thing and we want those specific stories#specifically bc they're gay or bi or pan or whatever#and that shouldn't make them any less universal#anyway i wrote a bit about this in my meta for the fanbook i hope they read it lmaoooooooooo not to sound pretentious but yeah
