One of the most bizarre things to me about the Wednesday show is they looked at a property where the main appeal was how much the family loved each other despite being seen as strange/weird or unconventional, and were like okay, hear me out, what if the family hates each other and also doesn't factor into this story at all except to further manufactured outcast angst. Also, being weird or unconventional in this particular way is bad, Wednesday is bad, and this girl needs to learn to fit in with the more acceptably weird and unconventional people. They also looked at a property that thrived off its difference to the mould and were like lol, that's not gonna fly with our silly little modern audiences, get back in there; guards, dig up the early 2010s trashy YA teen paranormal romance book structure, yeah, yeah the one with the brooding outcast girl and the perky best friend and the love triangle, oh yeah of course with the weird magic school and bullying plot, yeah the one that's been done to death for over a decade that everyone clowned on, yes, yes with the evil boy plot twist you see coming a mile away, and the ignorant/vaguely offensive undertones, I know what I'm doing, I said what I said, bring it here, bring it here, I just need to change literally all of the lore and *forcibly stuffing star shape in square hole* perfect, perfect. Oh and guards, throw in that ugly ass cartoon monster to top it off, yes, I do want it to have big stupid bug eyes or else people might mistake this for an adaptation that cares. Yeah, yeah this is the money shot, *shows picture of the Plants vs Zombies zombie.* And make them use snapchat.

Anyway, the most bizarre thing to me about the Wednesday show is that it could've been good. Why did they do that to her.

Oh my god, I just read the SitH outline and my heart can’t take, I’m crying oceans bro. Now I think I’d go for colt over Hadrian, but my pookie Friedrich (I always kinda had a gut feeling it would happen but I still hoped not😭😭) pls pls pls tell me Friedrich’s remains were found at least and buried. Oh and poor baby Marek, he’s probably gone cause liberio was one of the first demolished places in Marley right?😞 AND THE FACT THAT Y/N AND COLT LOSE TOUCH STOP. IM CRYING SO BADLY. THE ENDING ITS SO BEAUTIFUL AND ITS SO SAD LIKE WDYM ITS NOT CONFIRMED TO BE W COLT BUT AT THE SAME TIME THE WAY YOU DID ITWAS SO REALISTIC AND BEAUTIFUL. I might just have a heart attack rn. Anyway, thank you Mira for writing such a beautiful story and giving us the outline. You are so amazing and I hope you never forget that. Honestly, thank you for ship in the harbor and every fanfic you’ve ever written. I love you and your writing so much 😢

AHH THANK YOU!! i do think y/n and colt could eventually have a good relationship but that separation and growing apart is almost necessary?? their bond is built on so much shared trauma that if they were together without healing they would honestly make each other worse imo. that’s why i left it open!! because they definitely had the potential to end up together again but at the end of the day you never know, maybe y/n and/or colt decide they want someone who isn’t so linked to their worst moments if that makes sense?? and YESSS the ending is def bittersweet but i’ve tried to aim for realism above all else w this story and honestly i think this is the best way which fits their characters the most!! hehe it started off being a colt x reader fic but ended up being more of an alternative take on the stereotypical “girlboss” character and the psychological repercussions of being in a war so the romance became less and less important as the story went on

unfortunately friedrich was always meant to die 😔 besides the addition of y/n, SitH is meant to be 100% canon compliant up until the beginning of season 4 of the main show, so the rest of the candidates were never going to make it 😭 unfortunately no his remains were not found and his grave is empty (and also probably destroyed during the rumbling, but y/n probably plants a tree or smth for him in athyae). as for marek…he was honestly a late addition to the story so when i was outlining he wasn’t rlly a consideration for me!! just knowing him and his sheer determination to survive, i feel like he might’ve escaped with the others tbh. maybe he gets a cool eyepatch and visits athyae to see y/n again but ends up becoming besties w levi 🤷🏻‍♀️ i’ll leave his ending up to you!!

thank you so much for reading the story 🥹 it really did mean a lot to me so i’m glad i could at least give some closure to you and the others who read the fic 💖 i think given what i set out to do, it ended up being such a massive project and completely spiraled into something much greater and more expansive than i could’ve imagined. i only wish i had begun writing it NOT when i basically got out of the aot fandom so i could’ve gotten further with it 😭😔 but who knows maybe one day i’ll go back and work on it further

[meet the prisoners!] prisoner 001: miyagawa akio

so yeah, remember when i said that i actually have milgram ocs? i'll start posting them now!

here's our first prisoner! his design looks a bit boring, i know, but i think it fits him well! sorry for making him look like mikoto's long lost brother i wanted him to have that "basic anime protag" vibe, if you know what i mean. though his personality is not like that at all, haha. also i'm sorry if the symbols on his prisoner uniform look weird, i'm still trying to figure out how to make them look good and i can't see them that well even though i use references 😔

also, some notes: this story happens before the events of canon milgram project + novel (yes, i know the plot of the novel but i'm not sure where to read it in english, i'm sorry!), so es isn't the guard yet. this time milgram prison has not one, but TWO guards and both of them are polar opposites of each other. one of them wants to vote everyone innocent and believes that they're actually good people, but the other one thinks all prisoners should be voted guilty and all of them deserve to die for their sins.

this time the prisoners are much less sympathetic than the canon ones because if the canon prisoners are kind of "morally gray".. well, maybe these guys' cute designs will be enough to make people vote them innocent :') i will write their mv descriptions, voice dramas and interrogations as well, though honestly, i feel like i actually could try writing songs for them because i like composing and writing lyrics.. but i'm too lazy for that right now djsjsksk.

also almost forgot to mention, don't take their mv descriptions too seriously (or do take them seriously. i'm not your mom), like, for example, if i mention a character being treated badly by someone in the mv, it doesn't necessarily mean that this thing actually happened. it doesn't mean that my characters are able to lie through their mvs, it's more about how they personally saw their crimes. and considering that a lot of my ocs are very dramatic and they believe that they've done nothing wrong.. yeah, trusting their every word is not a good idea.

and if you guys find my ocs interesting, maybe i'll actually do polls where you can vote them innocent or guilty! and if not, that's okay, i already have canon verdicts for them in mind, so :'D it would be fun to see people choosing something completely different from what i expected though

Personality: Akio is a very prideful and arrogant boy who has an extremely high self-esteem. He believes he's innocent and refuses to admit that he really did something bad. Whenever his crime is mentioned, he claims that it wasn't his fault and his victim deserved it anyway. However, he's actually very smart and it's easy for him to fool people and make them believe that he really is a good guy. He claims that he was the best student in his class and he's been getting perfect grades since elementary school. He says that he never had any rivals because he was so perfect, however, it doesn't look like he had any friends either. He also doesn't believe that Milgram is an actual prison and thinks that it's all just for show and even if it's real, he's sure that he will never get executed or anything like that.

Which DECO*27 song he would cover: Reversible Campaign (i wish i could say that i have a deep reason for giving him this song, but.. i don't have one actually! i just like this song a lot and it's very special to me because if i'm not wrong, it's the first deco*27 song i ever listened to (or at least i have many good memories associated with it) so i thought that it would be a good idea to give it to the first prisoner!)

His MV description: His MV would have this royal theme/aesthetic, similar to Muu's INMF MV with its whole queen bee thing, however, his video would still feel and look completely different. His MV would mostly have dark/dull colors.. until one specific scene.

His video starts with a crowd of people sitting in a room that looks like some kind of a concert hall and even though it looks beautiful and detailed, it's mostly gray and black. All people look like black silhouettes and don't have any defining features, however, judging from their poses, you can tell that they feel awkward or even anxious. And then, suddenly, Akio appears on the stage while dressed like a king. Even though he's supposed to look unique compared to the silhouettes, his colors are still just as dull as the room's. He smiles and starts singing and while he does so, he appears not just as a king, but as other important figures, for example, a movie star, a popular singer, a president and even a god. The lyrics mention Akio being the only person here who's actually interesting, unique, skilled and talented. The silhouettes follow him around all the time and you can actually see them having bright green eyes, but they show them only when Akio does something cool, for example, defeats an enemy, executes a criminal, etc. Everything goes well until Akio notices that the colors of the MV start becoming brighter and he sees that the silhouettes are not really interested in him anymore and they're following a very bright figure that looks like it's literally made out of light. He starts getting more and more nervous as he sees his loyal followers leaving him. There's a shot of him standing with a glass case full of all kinds of prizes and trophies in the background and the glass suddenly breaks right when he sees that figure again. The glass hurts Akio in the process and one of the silhouettes notices it and decides to check if he's okay. Akio sees that this silhouette's eyes are different and they're not green, but pink instead. He smiles and the MV ends with the "more popular student" being executed by Akio, who got his crown back and right when Akio looks at the pink-eyed silhouette and nods, the colors turn dark again and the lights go off.

"My name is Miyagawa Akio. You two.. You two are not much older than me, right? So why the hell do you even have a right to judge us for our crimes? Honestly, I'm the one who deserves this right more than anyone else here."

Trivia.

He sees himself as innocent and hopes to get a verdict like that as well.

He didn't commit any other crimes except murder and he claims that he had only one victim.

He's secretly embarrassed of his height and wants to grow taller.

He's very proud of being popular with both guys and girls from his school.

He's not really close with any prisoners except Prisoner 009, who's only one year older than him and was quite a popular student as well. Prisoner 002 wants to become friends with him too, but he keeps ignoring her and finds her annoying.

You can think of him as Haruka's "foil" or simply his opposite because of them both being the first prisoners, but having completely different personalities. Haruka constantly apologizes, believes that he brings misfortune to other people and he's not the smartest guy here, meanwhile Akio really was the best student in his class, he never apologizes and takes his words back and he believes that he's better than everyone else. They're also almost the same age, though Akio is one year younger than Haruka.

Even though Akio and Muu's videos (we're talking about the second one) have a similar theme, they feel very different. No matter how much Muu claims that everything is not her fault, she still appears as a monster in her MV and she constantly says how pitiable she is (i am NOT going with the official eng translation) and even if she's a "bad girl", she still asks to forgive her. Akio doesn't feel like that at all and he really does believe that he's innocent and he also doesn't see himself as a monster or any other scary creature, HE LITERALLY SEES HIMSELF AS A GOD. He never asks to forgive him because he thinks that people will do it even if he doesn't ask.

His crime is pretty easy to solve compared to the other prisoners. I wanted to make it more complicated at first, but then I thought that it makes sense for a first prisoner to have a crime that's not as mysterious or difficult to solve as other characters' murders.

HAHAHAH playing wuji all the time, that’s how i feel about the yuri on ice soundtrack - especially the song yuri on ice. i used to listen to it religiously during my second last year at high school and i listened to it for the first time in ages the other day and it brought back all these memories of me being at school, and memories about the show HAHAHA.

YES!! I was so pleasantly surprised by his honest answer about DA and Jessica Alba. People tend to sugarcoat things, but he told the truth, and then gave context to his comments and explained why he thought she was being that way. Wonderful!!

And yeah, about Michelle Williams too. At the time, he respected her need to be a private person, and still does. He found a way to let her know he wasn't pushing, but he was there to be a friend if she wanted. I loved her method of showing who she was through music. So sweet, and the fact that he took the time to listen to it all so he could relate to her and be able to talk with her, just - 🥺 this man is everything! 😍

Yeah, his description of how the whole prequel thing went down was EXACTLY how I figured it did. I knew there was no way in HELL he would purposely leave Jared out.

When he talked about getting a big long text from Jared and he was like, "my heart just sank" 😔 I could just feel that, how bad he must have felt.

I've been in similar situations and I know how terrible it feels to know you've let someone you love down that badly. I wanted to give him a hug. It makes me sadder for him that when it happened he was far from home at the time with a lot of people he was still getting to know.

I agree with you that Jared was wrong and acted rashly by tweeting before he'd talked to Jensen. He probably sent the text, didn't hear back from Jensen, and felt even more slighted not realizing Jensen couldn't have his phone on set.

I remember after it happened, they both tweeted something to the effect that they missed having long, important talks and knowing everything in each other's life. So Jared probably didn't know that fact and maybe thought Jensen was just ignoring him.

He still shouldn't have done it, but as Jensen said, his feelings were valid. It just would have been better if he'd waited, but one of Jared's faults is acting out emotionally. But I feel like it goes hand in hand with his emotional availability too, so I can't fault him for it too much. Just wish someone had been there to rein him in, but I feel like that's usually Jensen and Gen, but neither were there.

But that whole conversation was wonderful and EXACTLY what I expected him to say about how it went down, but it was still wonderful to hear him confirm it! ❤️

I'd heard before that he basically had to "virtually audition" for Soldier Boy, but it was awesome to hear the details. I love how dedicated he is to the projects he's involved in, how passionate he is about them!!

I also love how he says that he and Jared "workhorses". And how he talked about needing to be creatively involved in something otherwise he gets antsy. I completely relate to that. If I'm not "creating something" I can get very depressed very quickly. I need to be creatively challenged, it's ESSENTIAL for my mental health.

All the time he was talking about Rust it just broke my heart. He was so stoked and excited for it. I hope he's healing from it. He seems to be.

I would have LOVED the podcast of him and Danneel chatting with other actors about fan favourite episodes. I also love that John Krasinski's Some Good News was the catalyst for that idea. Meaning that he and Danneel were just wanting to put out feel good content to try and help people out during such a hard time.

Of course the network got ahold of it and had to try and turn it into some kind of money making venture! 🙄😤 But he couldn't have done it without their permission, I'm sure. And knowing Jensen, he probably wanted to be respectful too and make sure he wasn't stepping on toes.
