it is seriously ironic that eddie is all 🥳🥳🥰🥰” but jonathan is “👹😡😰” like, as you said, they’re the same guy in different fonts! i mean- they’re all about being who you are, not who others want you to be- take care of kids, MUSIC!!! weed, ect ect. like obviously they have vastly different traits- but they have the same building blocks in general! eddie was obviously just a filler for Jonathan (the whole freak thing primarily)

but it’s super duper ironic that people will shit on Jonathan for just doing weed, but not care about Eddie hanging it out to high schoolers? and since eddie would be two years out of highschool i’m counting him as an adult (at least compared to highschool age)

glad i’m not the only one that agrees that neither/both Jon and Nance were in the wrong and right, i don’t understand how people take sides on that. like- jonathan (as a man) couldn’t understand the misogyny, although he could have tried to do something, but because of his financial issue, it could be extremely difficult. i mean, he’s perfect at the job he has- so had the rats not happened, and he defended her, maybe he would have been fired, and then had only his moms income source, which would suck for him VERY MAJOR TIME, and nancy (as a wealthy or generally well off person) couldn’t understand that he needed that job! and then they both get their asses kicked, kiss some, apologize some, and everything is chill

and i swear if anyone switches sides in Season Five i will explode them with my brain. especially if it’s because he died. and why would people hate on max! she’s so cool, like yeah she (from what i remember, could be wrong) was sarcastic and sassy and maybe a lil rude but like, they (mainly Mike) were excluding her, not to mention the family issues! also even if none of that was true (the party + family issues) there’s still nothing wrong with that! like boo-hoo if someone isn’t an angel and super nice, Max is awesome and funny in all of her sarcasm! the way she behaves is awesome i love her she’s fantastic and anyone who disagrees is incorrect <3

i hate it when people only like a character after they die/nearly die. it’s such BS. like you’ve hated on them for how long now, but now they’re dead and apparently you love them? i hate people like that. like wow.

but yeah it does seem like they will just hate on any character that doesn’t fall in line with their perfect image. like can y’all just take a second to try and understand where they come from? like do i have the same life as Jon? no, not at all. i mean, it’s seriously similar is many aspects, but i was never heavily physically abused, my dad is still in my life, and i think i’m the only queer one in my six kid four parent divorced family, so i’m not giving the Jon to Will talks. but on a mental level (jonathan’s urge to please people at the expense of his own, ghosting when he can’t do that, feeling responsible, hating social stuff, music is the answer to everything, not being what people want me to be, etc ect) but anyway the point is! i don’t have a life exactly like Jonathan’s- but i understand everything he does and why! it’s really not that hard to understand why he does (and others) and why. like, you don’t need to understand why exactly, per say, but anyone can get a general grasp of “they’ve had a shit life which explains their actions now” and honestly anyone who doesn’t take the time to consider why a character does what they do should not be able to speak on them only after you’ve thoroughly analyzed a character like a scientist may you speak shit on them

the amount of Jonathan hate (more so the TYPE of Jonathan hate) is absolutely bull shit. i saw one person ‘tell’ Jonathan to stop whining about his life, specifically his money and father, and make change about it like Nancy??? like what the actual hell? this person really said jonathan was pathetic because of his abusive father and money issues?? and then told him that he needed to try and fix it and wasn’t aloud to whine??? about a money situation he was born into and has been working to fix since he was 16? and then his ABUSIVE FATHER. who i may point out was bad enough that Jonathan checked a car trunk for his brother. that’s just one of the many many many examples of these shit people.

but to then insult Jonathan, thus Charlie’s physically appearance? just wow. disgusting. if you have to rely on someone’s (who hasn’t even done anything wrong, especially just an actor) appearance to be rude, your just a bad person. and in order to defend a different fictional character? wowwwww.
