THEO
You let out an exhausted sigh as you stepped back, hands on your hips, surveying your work in the living room. You had spent the past hour rearranging the furniture, pushing the coffee table a little closer to the couch, angling the armchair just right. They were small changes, but they made the space feel fresh. You smiled, satisfied.
And then - thunk.
Your foot caught on something. A dull, hollow sound followed, and when you glanced down, your stomach dropped. Theo’s guitar lay face-down on the hardwood floor, the headstock at an odd, unnatural angle.
Panic set in instantly. You dropped to your knees, hands shaking as you reached for it. Turning it over, you saw the damage: the wood near the tuning pegs had splintered, a jagged crack running through it. This wasn’t just any guitar. This was Theo’s guitar. His favorite one. The one he played when he was stressed, when he was happy, when he was just messing around. The one he treasured.
Your throat tightened. No, no, no.
For a second, you considered calling him, confessing immediately, but fear won. Instead, you lifted the broken guitar carefully and slipped into the bedroom, tucking it out of sight. If he didn’t see it right away, maybe… maybe you would have time to figure out what to do. Maybe he wouldn’t even notice.
The front door opened.
Your heart jumped. Footsteps followed, the sound of Theo kicking off his shoes, the rustling of his coat as he tossed it onto the hook. You forced yourself to breathe, smoothing down your shirt like that would somehow make everything feel normal.
“Hey,” he called from the hallway. “Where are you?”
You swallowed hard. “Living room.”
Theo appeared in the doorway, his dark hair slightly disheveled from work, his expression soft. He looked tired, but he gave you a small smile anyway. “Hey,” he said again, stepping forward to press a quick kiss to your forehead. “What have you been up to?”
You forced a casual shrug. “Just, uh, moving some things around.”
He nodded, then glanced around the room, his gaze landing exactly where the guitar should have been. His brows pulled together slightly. “Huh. Do you know where my guitar is? I’m sure I left it in the living room.”
Your pulse hammered.
You met his eyes, feigning confusion. “Hm?”
Theo tilted his head. “My guitar. The acoustic one.”
You felt the lie pressing against your lips, thick and sticky. “Oh, uh… I don’t know? Maybe you put it somewhere else?”
He frowned, glancing around again before heading toward the bedroom. Your stomach twisted into a tight knot as you watched him go, every step bringing him closer to the truth.
Then - his voice rang out, sharp and unmistakable.
“Y/N!”
Your heart stopped.
Theo stood in the doorway of the bedroom, his face twisted in anger, the broken guitar clutched in his hands. His knuckles were white as he held it up, the damage glaring under the soft glow of the bedside lamp.
“What the hell did you do?!” His voice was sharp, accusing.
Your chest tightened. You opened your mouth, but no words came. Theo shook the guitar slightly, as if that would somehow force an answer out of you.
“I-I don’t know,” you stammered, your voice barely above a whisper. “It wasn’t me.”
A bitter, disbelieving laugh escaped him. “Oh, come on, stop lying!” His tone dripped with frustration. “You rearranged the living room, where I left my guitar yesterday, and suddenly it’s broken?! What, it just snapped on its own?”
You pressed your lips together, heart pounding. You had never seen him this angry before.
“And this is my favorite one!” Theo shouted, his voice echoing through the small bedroom. “Do you even know how expensive it’s going to be to get this repaired?!”
Your throat tightened as the weight of guilt crushed you. Your lips trembled, and you could feel the tears building, hot and stinging. “I’m so sorry,” you mumbled, your voice shaking. “I didn’t mean to break it.”
Theo scoffed, shaking his head. “That’s not even the worst part,” he snapped. His dark eyes locked onto yours, burning with frustration. “The worst part is that you lied to my face. You didn’t even admit it.”
The words hit harder than you expected. You swallowed past the lump in your throat, trying to find something to say, anything to fix this. “I-I’ll pay for the repair,” you offered weakly, your voice barely steady.
Theo let out a sharp breath, his jaw clenching. “That’s not the point!” he hissed. His hands gripped the broken guitar tightly for a moment before he exhaled and shook his head again, looking away. “Just… leave me alone,” he muttered, his voice lower now, rough with exhaustion.
Without another word, he turned and walked past you, making his way toward the living room.
You stood there, frozen, alone in the bedroom. The silence pressed in around you, thick and heavy. And then, finally, you let the tears fall.
——————
The bedroom felt quiet, apart from the soft sound of your sniffles as you sat curled up on the bed. You wiped at your eyes with the sleeve of your sweater, but the tears kept coming, leaving streaks down your cheeks. Your chest still ached from the argument, from the way Theo had looked at you - frustrated, disappointed.
Then, you heard footsteps approaching.
Theo appeared in the doorway, no longer carrying the broken guitar. His expression was softer now, the anger from before fading into something calmer. You braced yourself, thinking he was still upset, but instead of speaking right away, he sat down beside you.
You kept your gaze on your lap, avoiding his eyes. The bed dipped slightly under his weight, and then, his hand landed gently on your thigh.
You blinked in surprise, hesitating before finally looking up at him. Your voice wavered through your tears as you mumbled, “I’m so sorry… for breaking your guitar… and for lying to you.”
Theo let out a quiet sigh, rubbing the back of his neck. “I was mad,” he admitted, “but I didn’t mean to overreact and make you cry.”
You sniffled again, nodding. “I get why you were mad,” you murmured. “It’s your favorite guitar…”
His fingers squeezed your thigh gently, a silent reassurance. Then, to your surprise, he exhaled a small chuckle. “Honestly? I can just buy a new one.”
Your eyebrows lifted slightly. “But… it was your favorite.”
Theo shrugged. “Yeah, but I was already thinking about getting a new one anyway. This one’s been old for a while.”
You hesitated. “I’ll pay for it,” you said quickly, feeling like you at least owed him that much.
Theo let out a laugh, shaking his head. “No, you don’t need to.”
His hand lifted to your face, his thumb gently wiping away a lingering tear from your cheek. His voice was softer now, filled with regret. “I’m sorry for making you feel this way,” he murmured. “Are we good?”
You nodded, sniffling once more. “Yeah.”
Theo’s lips curved into a small smile. “Good.” Then, his expression turned teasing as he added, “But from now on, you have to stay at least five feet away from my guitars.”
A watery giggle escaped your lips. “Deal.”
His hand slid up to cup the back of your head as he leaned in, pressing a soft, warm kiss to your forehead. And just like that, the tension melted away.

KEEHO
The apartment was quiet except for the sound of running water from the bathroom. Keeho was in the shower, leaving his phone unattended on the kitchen counter. You weren’t proud of the way your eyes kept flickering toward it, drawn by every little vibration that echoed in the stillness of the room.
You had no reason to doubt him, at least, that’s what you kept telling yourself. He had always been kind, attentive, and loving. But lately, something had felt… off. You had noticed the way he smiled at his phone, his fingers flying over the screen with an eagerness that made your stomach twist. And when you had asked, he had simply said it was his family.
You had believed him. Or rather, you had tried to.
But then, the screen lit up again.
Buzz.
Your heart pounded.
Buzz.
You swallowed hard. The name on the screen sent a wave of unease through you.
You hesitated. You knew you shouldn’t. You knew that trust was the foundation of every strong relationship. But something deeper, something ugly and jealous, clawed at your insides. You weren’t normally like this. Keeho had never given you a real reason to doubt him before.
And yet, before you could stop yourself, your fingers were reaching out.
The screen unlocked with a simple swipe.
You shouldn’t have looked.
But you did.
And what you saw made your breath catch in your throat.
?: i miss you :(
?: i can’t wait to meet you when I’m in Seoul
Your hands trembled. The words blurred for a moment as your mind scrambled to make sense of them. I miss you? Can’t wait to meet you?
Your stomach dropped.
Was Keeho… cheating?
No. He wouldn’t. Would he?
You wanted to think there was some kind of explanation, something innocent you weren’t seeing. But in that moment, all you could feel was a sinking, suffocating sense of betrayal. Your chest tightened as a storm of emotions swirled inside you - hurt, confusion, anger, fear.
And then, before you could even begin to process what to do next, a voice cut through the silence.
“What are you doing with my phone?”
Your body went rigid.
Slowly, you turned around, your hands still clutching the device as if caught red-handed.
Keeho stood in the doorway of the bathroom, a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, his wet hair dripping onto his bare shoulders. His expression was unreadable, his eyes locked onto you, a flicker of something behind them that you couldn’t quite place.
The air between you grew heavy.
And just like that, the moment you had been dreading had arrived.
The fight was inevitable now.
The weight of Keeho’s gaze pinned you in place. His phone was still in your hands, the damning messages from the mysterious girl glowing on the screen. You could barely hold back the sting of tears as they welled up in your eyes.
Keeho’s brows furrowed as he took a step closer, water still dripping from his hair. His voice was sharp, laced with disbelief.
“Why the hell are you snooping through my phone?”
You flinched. You knew this was wrong, you knew you had crossed a line. But the pain in your chest was too strong to ignore. The betrayal, the doubt, the ache of wondering if everything you had with him was a lie - it was suffocating.
A shaky breath left your lips as you finally lifted your eyes to meet his. “How could you do this to me?”
Keeho’s expression shifted. The irritation in his eyes flickered into something softer, something more concerned. His voice lowered, confusion creeping into his tone.
“…do what?”
Your chest tightened. A part of you wanted to believe him, to believe that there was some kind of explanation. But your mind replayed the words on the screen: I miss you. I can’t wait to meet you.
“I already had this feeling for a long time,” you whispered, your voice breaking slightly. “And now I know. You’re cheating on me.”
Silence.
Keeho blinked at you, completely stunned. Then his jaw tensed, his eyes narrowing as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard.
“What the hell are you talking about?” he demanded, his voice rising in frustration.
“I saw the messages,” you shot back, your grip tightening around his phone.
Keeho let out a bitter laugh, running a hand through his wet hair. “What messages?”
Your heart pounded as anger swelled inside you. You let out a sarcastic chuckle, shaking your head. “Are you seriously still trying to deny it?”
Keeho exhaled deeply, his frustration now evident in the way his shoulders tensed. “Wait… so you seriously think that I’m cheating on you?”
“I know that you are!” you snapped.
For a moment, he just stared at you. Then, something in his face shifted. His frustration was still there, but now it was mixed with something else. Something more painful.
“Wow,” he muttered, his voice laced with disbelief. He shook his head, looking at you like he didn’t recognize you anymore. “So that’s what you take me for? A cowardly cheater?”
You swallowed, your emotions a mess of anger and pain. “Then tell me…” Your voice wavered as you took a step closer, gripping the phone in your shaking hands. “Who the hell is Anna?”
The second the name left your lips, Keeho’s face twisted, not with guilt, but with sheer frustration.
“Seriously?!” He let out a bitter scoff, rubbing his temple as if he was trying to keep himself from yelling. “That’s my sister.”
Your breath caught. Your thoughts froze.
No. That couldn’t be.
“You’re lying,” you whispered. You had to be right. The messages were too suspicious. He was just trying to cover it up now. “Stop lying.”
Keeho’s expression darkened, his patience running thin. “I’m not lying,” he said through gritted teeth. “Why the hell would I lie about that?”
“Then why didn’t you ever tell me about her?”
Keeho scoffed, running a frustrated hand through his hair. “I thought I did.”
He snapped his phone from your hands and started scrolling through his photos. Within seconds, he found what he was looking for - an old picture of him and Anna, both of them grinning at the camera, looking unmistakably alike. He turned the phone toward you, his jaw tight.
“There,” he said, his voice cold. “That’s Anna. My sister.”
You stared at the picture, your mind reeling. The resemblance was undeniable. The way she smiled, the way her eyes crinkled at the corners. It was Keeho’s face in a female version.
Your stomach twisted.
“My family is coming to visit soon,” Keeho continued, his voice still sharp. “I was actually planning to surprise you with it. I wanted you to finally meet them.” His lips curled into a bitter smile. “But you just had to go and ruin the surprise, huh?”
Guilt crept up your spine, but you were still too stunned to speak.
Keeho scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. “I can’t believe this,” he muttered. His voice was low, almost to himself. “I can’t believe you would actually think that I’d cheat on you.”
Before you could say anything, before you could even think of how to respond, Keeho turned on his heel and stormed off.
The bedroom door slammed shut behind him.
And just like that, you were left standing alone in the kitchen, heart pounding, mind racing, and regret already sinking in.
——————
Your hand rested on the bedroom doorknob for far too long.
The weight of what had just happened sat heavy in your chest, making it hard to breathe. You had accused Keeho of something terrible, something he didn’t deserve. And now, on the other side of this door, he was hurt because of you.
Your fingers tightened around the handle. You were scared to face him, scared of the disappointment in his eyes. But you knew that you had to.
With a deep breath, you slowly turned the knob and stepped inside.
Keeho sat on the edge of the bed, his arms crossed over his chest. His head was slightly bowed, his expression unreadable in the dim light of the room. He didn’t look up when you entered.
Carefully, you approached, your steps hesitant.
“Keeho…” Your voice was soft, almost unsure.
He scoffed, finally meeting your gaze. His eyes were sharp, but there was something else beneath the frustration - something tired, something hurt.
“What do you want?” His voice was flat, emotionless.
Your stomach twisted, but you didn’t back down.
“I’m sorry,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. “I made a mistake.”
Keeho didn’t reply. His silence felt heavier than if he had just yelled at you.
You swallowed the lump in your throat and continued. “I didn’t even know you had a sis-”
“That still doesn’t give you the right to look through my phone.”
The words hit you like a slap. You knew he was right. No matter how much your emotions had clouded your judgment, no matter how suspicious things had seemed, it still wasn’t okay.
Tears pricked at your eyes again, but you refused to let them fall. “I know,” you admitted, your voice trembling. “I broke your trust, and I understand if… if you want to break up now.”
Keeho’s head snapped up.
His entire posture changed as he quickly stood, closing the distance between you. His brows were furrowed, eyes wide as if he couldn’t believe what you had just said.
“Break up?” His voice was filled with disbelief. “Are you serious?”
You lowered your gaze, unable to look at him. “I messed up, Keeho. I accused you of something awful. I don’t deserve-”
“I would never want to break up with you,” he interrupted firmly. His expression softened, but there was still something heavy in his gaze. “But…” He let out a quiet sigh, shaking his head. “I won’t lie. It hurts that you don’t trust me.”
Your heart clenched.
“I do trust you,” you insisted, desperation creeping into your tone. “I should have just asked you instead of… instead of going through your phone.” Your voice broke as you continued, “I swear, I would never do this again. Please… please believe me.”
For a moment, Keeho just stared at you.
Then, without warning, he reached forward and pulled you into his arms.
You melted against his chest as he wrapped his arms tightly around you, his warmth seeping into your skin. He didn’t say anything right away, just held you there, as if trying to calm the storm of emotions between you both.
Finally, Keeho leaned back slightly, his hands still resting on your shoulders as he looked down at you. His expression had softened.
“I get it,” he murmured. “You didn’t know about my sister. And… maybe I have been acting a little suspicious lately.” His lips curled into a small, tired smile. “I guess I can understand why you got the wrong idea.”
Your throat tightened with guilt. “I’m still so sorry,” you whispered. “Especially for ruining the surprise with your family.”
Keeho let out a small chuckle, shaking his head as he reached up to gently wipe away a stray tear from your cheek. “It’s okay,” he reassured you. “Honestly, I should’ve just been upfront with you from the start.”
He paused for a moment, then met your gaze with a serious expression. “But promise me something, okay?”
You nodded quickly. “Anything.”
“From now on, if you ever have doubts about anything, talk to me.” His voice was gentle but firm. “No more assumptions. No more snooping. Just be honest with me.”
You swallowed hard, nodding again. “I promise.”
Keeho studied you for a second longer before a small smile finally broke through his stern expression. He pulled you in for another hug, holding you close as he murmured, “I’m sorry too… for making you feel like you had a reason to doubt me.”
A shaky breath of relief left your lips as you hugged him back.
You pulled back slightly, looking up at him with a hesitant smile. “No more surprises, okay?”
Keeho chuckled, his usual warmth returning to his eyes. “No more surprises,” he promised, pulling you back in a tight hug.

JIUNG
The weekend had finally arrived. After weeks of Jiung being swamped with work, you were both looking forward to spending time together. You had planned everything down to the last detail - a cozy day in the kitchen, cooking his favorite Korean dishes together. It felt like the perfect way to reconnect.
At first, everything was perfect. The kitchen was filled with the comforting aroma of garlic and sesame oil, the sound of vegetables sizzling in the pan. Standing at the counter, you were slicing carrots into thin strips. It wasn’t anything fancy, but you were doing your best.
Beside you, Jiung was focused on chopping onions with precise, practiced movements. Every now and then, he glanced over at your cutting board.
“You’re cutting them wrong,” he pointed out, leaning over your shoulder.
You giggled, not taking it seriously. “Oh no, the perfectionist chef has arrived,” you teased.
Jiung rolled his eyes, but there was a small smile playing on his lips. “You should cut them like this,” he said, demonstrating with his own knife. His voice was calm, but there was a hint of seriousness in it.
You looked at your uneven slices and then back at him, smiling playfully. “It’s fine, Jiung. They’re just carrots.”
He sighed softly, setting down his knife. “But they won’t cook evenly if they’re all different sizes.”
You giggled, finding it cute how much he cared about something so small. “Okay, Chef Jiung, whatever you say.”
But he didn‘t laughed. Instead, he picked up one of your carrot slices and examined it like a food critic. “You’re holding the knife wrong too. Here, let me show you.”
Before you could react, he stepped behind you, gently guiding your hands. His fingers curled around yours, adjusting your grip on the knife. His touch had been warm, and for a second, your heart had skipped. But then he took your wrist and moved it in a controlled motion, like you were a student in a cooking class.
“See? If you do it like this, it’s much easier,” he said.
You bit your lip, trying not to laugh. “Jiung, it’s just vegetables. We’re not on a cooking show.”
He didn‘t let go. “I know, but if we’re going to do it, we should do it right.”
That was when you started feeling a little annoyed. This was supposed to be fun, but he had been taking it so seriously, almost like he was critiquing you instead of cooking with you. You pulled your hands away and continued cutting the way you wanted.
“Okay, okay, I got it,” you said lightly.
You shrugged and kept chopping, but soon, he started correcting you again. First, it was the size of the carrots. Then, the way you were stirring the sauce.
“That’s not how you do it,” Jiung sighed, stepping in to take the spoon from your hand.
You frowned and turned to face him. “Jiung, are you serious right now? It’s just dinner. It doesn’t have to be perfect.”
Jiung let out a frustrated breath, shaking his head. “This is my favorite food, okay? We can’t mess it up.”
You felt your chest tighten. “So now I’m messing it up?” you said, voice quieter now, but the hurt was obvious.
He frowned slightly. “I'm just saying that it should be done properly. Otherwise, what’s the point?”
Something in his tone made your frustration flare. “The point is to have fun. Not to make some five-star gourmet meal. You’re acting like I’m ruining everything.”
Jiung let out a breath, rubbing his temple. “I’m just trying to help.”
“Well, it doesn’t feel like help. It feels like you’re just telling me I’m doing everything wrong,” you shot back.
His expression hardened, his voice raised. “Well, maybe if you weren’t so terrible at cooking, I wouldn’t have to tell you how to do everything!”
The words hit you like a slap. You stared at him, feeling your stomach twist. Was he being serious?
Your heart pounded. “Do you even hear yourself right now?” you asked, voice quieter now, but the hurt was obvious.
Jiung sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “I just- look, never mind. Let’s just finish the food.”
But you had lost all interest. The cozy atmosphere that had surrounded you earlier now felt tight and heavy. You didn’t expect to argue tonight, you were so excited for this. But suddenly, the warmth of the moment had turned into something frustrating, something that made your chest ache.
“You know what? Just finish it yourself,” you said, setting your knife down with a soft clatter.
Jiung looked at you, his lips pressed together, as if he tried to choose his next words carefully. But you didn’t want to hear them. Not right now. Without another word, you turned away, walking straight to the bedroom.
You didn’t slam the door, but you shut it firmly enough to make a point. Sitting on the edge of the bed, you stared down at your hands, replaying the words in your head.
Maybe if you weren’t so terrible at cooking…
A lump formed in your throat. You weren’t expecting him to be that harsh.
From the kitchen, you could still hear him moving around, pots clanking, the faint sound of something sizzling in the pan. But he didn’t come after you.
And that hurt even more.
——————
It had been a while since you left Jiung alone in the kitchen. The muffled sounds of clinking dishes and the faint aroma of his cooking had long since settled, but you didn‘t move from your spot on the bed. Arms crossed, you stared at the floor, still replaying the argument in your head.
Then, there was a quiet knock. A moment later, Jiung pushed the door open and stepped inside. His expression was unreadable as he leaned against the doorframe.
“Dinner’s ready,” he said.
You didn’t look up. “I’m not hungry anymore.”
Jiung frowned, stepping closer. “I put in all my effort to cook.”
Your frustration bubbled up again, and before you could stop yourself, you snapped, “I wanted to cook with you, but you were being so bossy and annoying.” Finally, you looked up at him, your eyes sharp. “Why did you have to take it so seriously? I just wanted to have a nice, fun evening with you.”
Jiung scratched the back of his head, exhaling slowly. “When it comes to cooking, I just… I want everything to be perfect.”
You rolled your eyes, your voice dripping with sarcasm. “Oh, really? I couldn’t tell that.”
His confident stance faded, and his expression softened into something more worried. He could see just how upset you were. Without another word, he sat down on the bed beside you, hesitating before speaking again.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly.
You stayed silent, still sulking.
Jiung sighed and continued. “I know that sometimes my perfectionism takes over, and I can get… annoying.” He gave you a small, guilty smile before quickly shaking his head. “No, really annoying. But I know I should have never let that out on you. And I’m so sorry for making you feel this way.”
You finally turned to look at him. His eyes were filled with regret, and the corners of his lips were turned down slightly. He was really feeling bad about this.
A teasing idea formed in your head. You tilted your head, pretending to think. “Hmm… I don’t know if I can forgive you.”
Jiung’s face fell instantly. “What?!”
You struggled to hold back your amusement, keeping your expression serious.
“And let’s not forget,” you continued, raising an eyebrow, “you called me a terrible cook.”
Jiung’s eyes widened. “No! I didn’t mean that when I said it!” He exhaled dramatically, shaking his head. “I love your food, especially the cupcakes you make.”
You almost smiled at that, but you kept your act up. “Hmm. I don’t know, Jiung. I might need to think about this before giving you another chance.”
Jiung groaned and suddenly leaned over you, hovering just inches away. His lips jutted into a pout, and his eyes grew wide and pleading. “I’m so sorry,” he whined, voice softer now. “Pleaseee forgive me?”
You tried - really, really tried - to keep your serious face. But with him looking at you like a lost puppy, it was impossible.
Letting out a dramatic sigh, you finally said, “Fine. I forgive you.”
Jiung’s lips curled into a soft, relieved smile as he leaned in and kissed you gently. The tension melted away, leaving behind only warmth between you.
Pulling back, you looked at him and smirked. “But just so you know… I’m never cooking with you again.”
Jiung laughed, shaking his head. “Deal.”
He kissed you again, a little longer this time, before pulling you up from the bed. “Now come on,” he said, intertwining his fingers with yours. “Let’s eat together.”
And just like that, the fight was over.
Even if you never cooked with him again, at least you knew one thing for sure - Jiung was terrible at letting go of his perfectionism, but you were even worse at staying mad at him.

A Day to Remember  (Rick Sanchez x ORIGINAL CHARACTER)  CH 4- Family Vacation
Hello Everyone! Sorry for the long wait, had to deal with school stuff. Hopefully you guys enjoy this new chapter on my series!
Beth and Jerry were dragging luggage behind them while everyone else followed behind.
Jerry looks at Beth smiling “I can’t believe we are finally going on vacation!”
Beth looks at Jerry back “yeah, just don't tell my dad how I managed it” she said placing her luggage on the floor behind their car “after searching on Facebook and cross-referencing his family stories I managed to find a relative that was willing to have us over”
“Let’s just hope they aren’t a serial killer or something” Jerry said sarcastically
“Jerry!” Beth glared.
Opening their car trunk Jerry starts to load everyone’s luggage. Rick, Morty, and Summer all come out of the house with their stuff. They all watched as Jerry struggles with one luggage bag as it falls onto his foot.
“Ow! My foot!” Jerry cried as he leans down to hold onto his foot
“You know I don’t think everyone is going to fit in one car” Beth said as she helped Jerry put stuff away. “Especially with everyone’s luggage taking up room in the trunk. So I think it’s best we split up, dad- I take it you can drive your car?”
Rick rolled his eyes while sighing, “su-URe Beth sure” he marched his way over to this UFO vehicle. He opens the UFO trunk and throws his luggage inside. Morty runs over to the other side of the UFO car and jumps in after getting the okay from his mom.
“For once I’m too fucking tired to argue with your parents” Rick sighs as he turns on the radio “look the sooner we go the sooner we come back from this shitty ass family vacation”
Everyone else was inside the other vehicle and ready to drive off as Rick followed, heading to their new destination.
As the hours went by, the car ride was slow and quiet, Rick was driving his car over Beth’s and Jerry's car keeping an eye on them from time to time to make sure they didn't get stranded or whatever else might happen. Morty looked over at his grandfather wondering what was going on in his grandfather's mind.
Feeling the boy's eyes on him, Rick looked over at Morty.
“What”
“H-huh?”
“What do you want?”
“W-what do you mean Rick?”
“W-Well you’ve been eyeing me this entire car ride so, what-what do you want?”
It got quiet for a moment and Morty began to talk.
“R-Rick are you okay?”
“What do you mean?”
“W-Well R-Rick it’s just you’ve been very stress-I mean! Been very tired lately.”
Rick hummed slowly while going over his thoughts, “Im fine Morty” rubbing his hands against the steering wheel.
“A-Are you sure Rick? You can always talk to me for anything” Morty chuckled nervously at his lame attempt to comfort his grandfather.
“Yeah I’m fine- An-ANi-anyways” Rick quickly transitioned the topic, “where are we going? We’ve been driving for hours now and I think your parents are going to need gas soon”
“Oh Mom didn’t tell you? She said we are traveling to your family’s house in Los Angeles. Something about wanting to reconnect?”
Rick relaxed in his chair looking ahead “oh yeah?”
The car ride became quiet again before Rick suddenly jumped forward in a panic and looked at Morty.
“We’re going WHERE?! Rick’s stomach drops as his hands become clammy and slippery, barely holding onto the wheel. His head begins to pulse with pressure causing pain as Rick places one hand on his head, looking at the road as it begins to split.
Morty looks at Rick with concern “R-Rick are you okay?” he asked, raising his hand and placing it on his shoulder. Rick turns to Morty.
Rick pushes through the pain and smacks Morty hand off his shoulder “Im-I-Im fine! Let’s just get this family vacation bullshit over with” as beads of sweat trickle down his forehead.

--
Construction began on a building directly behind Team Dark’s apartment complex one summer. It was fine during the week because Shadow had to wake up at the crack of dawn and show up to work before the construction started anyway, but weekends were something else entirely. Every Saturday and Sunday from seven in the morning until three, Shadow’s sensitive ears were subjected to the sounds of jackhammers, excavators, and all manner of demolition equipment. Even with the windows shut, it was too much for him. He frequently snapped at Rouge and Omega from the constant stress of sensory overload. The two of them were patient for a while, but after a particularly bad spat between him and Rouge, she told him to step out and get some air. He was doing just that when he ran into Amy.
“Shadow! Hi!” She skidded to a stop a foot away from him with an assortment of shopping bags in her arms, smiling just as brightly as always. “What are you up to?”
Her cheery voice, usually so pleasant to the ears, was too loud for him. “Nothing,” he snapped.
She pouted and put a hand on her hip. “That’s no way to talk to a friend,” she scolded, apparently not as affected by their surroundings as he was. A multitude of different conversations buzzed around him, all the voices tumbling over each other in a raucous mess. He gritted his teeth and massaged his temples, shutting his eyes against the too-bright sun and berating himself for leaving his sunglasses at home.
It’s too much...too many...too loud, too bright, too crowded--!
Someone bumped into him while passing by, making him jump a foot in the air. When he let out a yelp at the unexpected contact, the Mobian turned around and smiled sheepishly. “Whoops! Sorry about that!”
Shadow snarled. “Watch where you’re going, dipshit!”
The Mobian cringed. “Okay, okay! Jeez...” he muttered before speed-walking away. Shadow’s fists clenched. His breathing and heartrate started to accelerate.
“Shadow, what’s wrong?”
Amy’s concerned words broke the dam. He turned on her.
“JUST LEAVE ME ALONE ALREADY!”
Amy flinched. Shadow instantly recoiled at his own words. Her face looked pained and confused. His throat closed up, and he lifted a shaky hand. “I...I’m so sorry, I just...I didn’t...” He choked on his words and whined quietly.
Amy’s expression turned from hurt to sympathetic. “Let’s go to my house, okay?”
Shadow closed his mouth and looked away, embarrassed, but he nodded silently and held out his hand. She took it and squeezed it reassuringly. He closed his eyes to shield himself from the inevitable green flash, pictured Amy’s apartment, and croaked out, “Chaos Control!”
--
Once they arrived, Amy immediately ushered him inside. Shadow relaxed a little when she closed the door behind them, locking out the sounds from outside. When she turned on the overhead light, though, he growled and looked away. He choked in panic at his own reaction, but she just shot him a concerned look and turned the light back off again. He sighed.
“Is there anything I can do?” she asked, gently resting a hand on his shoulder.
“I--”
He stalled out. She waited patiently, but the words weren’t coming.
Her expression pinched. She carefully guided him over to her couch. “C’mon, sit down. I’ll help you through this. It’ll be alright,” she reassured him, keeping her voice low. He nodded and sat down. He crossed his arms defensively and stayed silent.
“What can I do to help?”
Shadow’s eyes darted around the room, and his jaw clenched. “Blanket...?”
She paused for a moment, probably wondering why he’d want that in August, but she recovered and nodded decisively. “Blanket. Got it.” She hurried to the closet where she presumably kept such things during the summertime. Shadow curled in on himself while he waited. His shoulders hunched up tightly, and his heart pounded.
The couch sank next to him as Amy sat down. “Here you go. Is this enough?”
Shadow nodded and immediately pulled the blanket around himself. The soft fabric surrounding him made him feel slightly better, but his body still shook, and his breathing wouldn’t slow down.
He didn’t look up, but he could hear the helpless concern in her voice as she whispered, “Anything else? Here, let me go get--”
When she started to stand up, he immediately latched onto her arm. “Don’t--!”
He hadn’t meant to grab her arm, but he couldn’t bring himself to let go. Amy was startled at first, but her gaze softened when she saw the pleading look in his eyes. She lowered herself back onto the couch with a reassuring smile. “It’s alright. I’ll stay.”
He immediately pulled her close and buried his face in her shoulder. Feeling safe and no longer overwhelmed, Shadow finally relaxed his muscles and let his tears fall in the presence of the only one who was allowed to see them. Exhausted, he fell asleep in her arms as she gently scratched his scalp.
--
When Shadow awoke, ambient natural sounds floated past his ears. His face was pressed against something soft. He grunted softly and cracked his eyes open to find the room was darker than before, indicating a good deal of time had passed.
“You’re awake! How are you feeling?”
Shadow made a perplexed noise when Amy’s quiet voice met his ears. When his groggy eyes were met with Amy’s bright smile just a few inches away, he made a panicked noise and pulled back. He immediately let go of her arm when he realized he’d been clinging to her the whole time. The sudden retreat made his head pound painfully, cluing him in to the splitting headache that was now plaguing him. He cringed upon remembering he’d latched onto Amy and clung onto her like she was a living security blanket.
“Shit, I was--sorry, I...”
“It’s okay!” Her grin didn’t fade. “You know I never mind cuddling,” she reassured, easily seeing through him the way she always had. “Are you feeling any better?”
Shadow sighed and looked away. “...Yes. Thank you.” His eyes drifted to the phone in her hand, which seemed to be the source of the gentle, ambient noise.
She followed his gaze and explained, still keeping her voice low. “I texted Rouge to let her know where you were. When I told her what was going on, she told me you listen to this kind of thing whenever this happens. I can turn it off if you want.”
He shook his head. “No, it’s nice.”
“Good,” she replied, looking relieved. “I hope you don’t mind that I told her what was going on. I figured she might be able to help.”
He nodded in assent. She remained silent, but he could tell she was curious. He exhaled slowly. “Gerald wanted my senses to be as acute as possible, but he took it too far. It’s a double-edged sword. I’m usually fine, but when I’m overwhelmed...”
He trailed off. She nodded. “That makes sense.”
He shut his eyes. “I never meant for you to get caught up in this. I’m...” He sighed and gritted his teeth, ashamed. “I’m deeply sorry for what happened today.”
She frowned. “It’s not a big deal, Shadow. Everyone gets overwhelmed sometimes. All you did was hang onto me and sleep it off for a while.”
“That’s not what I meant.” He opened his eyes. He could tell from her sympathetic expression that the pain was evident on his face. “I snapped at you. I promised myself I would never, ever do that to you, of all people. You’ve been nothing but kind to me since we met, more than anyone else I know.” He clenched his teeth. “And I yelled at you over nothing. When you were trying to help me.” He covered half his face with one of his hands. “After everything you’ve done for me, that’s how I repaid you.”
He felt a light, warm pressure on his free hand, and he looked down to see Amy had taken it in her own hands. “You were dealing with a ton of stress, Shadow. Anyone can lose their temper. I know I have,” she admitted with a laugh. When he didn’t reply, she added, “I’m not upset, Shadow. It takes more than that to scare me off.”
Shadow hesitated, feeling warmth spread in his chest at the sweet sentiment. “But I--”
“No ‘buts!’” she insisted. Her face softened, and she reached toward him. Then, she paused and asked, “Can I hug you?”
Shadow opened his mouth, then paused. After a moment, he replied. “If you want to.”
“Of course.”
She pulled him into a gentle, comforting hug. She snuggled into his shoulder. “It’s alright, Shadow. I’m always going to be there for you. You’re my friend, and I love you.”
Shadow’s heart thumped in a combination of gratitude and guilt. “I know it’s not easy sometimes. I--”
“No.”
“But I--”
“No,” she insisted again, as if she were scolding a child. “You are not hard to love, Shadow. You’re kind, you’re considerate, and our friendship means the world to me!”
He returned the hug, holding her body closer and trying to hold in his emotions. “Thank you.” She scratched his scalp just as she had before, and he felt his muscles relax again.
The two separated after a while. The movement made Shadow’s head throb painfully once again. He winced and rubbed his forehead.
Amy picked up on it immediately, of course. She stood up and headed in the direction of her kitchen. “I’ll get you some headache remedy.”
“I’m the Ultimate Lifeform. I don’t need it.”
Amy rolled her eyes fondly. “You have a headache. I’m not going to ignore that.”
Shadow grumbled, but he didn’t argue further. She returned with the medicine and a cup of water. He downed both of them and pouted at her satisfied smile. “I was built to be perfect. This isn’t supposed to happen.”
He didn’t just mean the headache, and it was obvious that she knew that. “You’re not a robot or a weapon, Shadow. You’re a person, and people have flaws.” He opened his mouth to argue, but she held up a hand to stop him. “You’re allowed to make mistakes. I knew you didn’t mean it. I was just worried because I knew you needed help, okay?”
He bit his lip, hesitated, and then muttered, “Okay.”
She nodded, satisfied, then grew serious again. “So what set you off today? Is there any way to avoid it?”
Shadow growled lowly upon being reminded of the problem, then flinched at his own reaction when Amy looked startled. “They’re doing construction right behind my apartment. It’s fine during the week because I’m not there for it, but it wreaks havoc on my ears on the weekends.” He rubbed his temples just thinking about it.
Amy pursed her lips and scratched her chin, then brightened up. “So just hang out here on the weekends until they’re done!”
“What?”
She nodded excitedly. “Yeah! It’ll be like a sleepover! You spend plenty of time here anyway, right?”
His ears flattened. “You’d do that for me?” he asked, humbled by her offer.
“Of course! I love spending time with you!”
He felt his heart thump. He lifted his shoulders shyly.
“I’d like that.”
She squealed in contagious excitement, and his heart soared in response.
--
“So I’ll see you next Friday night, okay?” Amy piped up as she escorted Shadow to the door.
He nodded, still beyond flattered that she’d be willing to forfeit so much time for him.
She seemed to sense his hesitation. “Just like we planned, right? Fun sleepovers every weekend! I can’t wait!”
Just then, Shadow’s fine-tuned ears picked up the sound of someone breathing around the corner. He made an inquisitive noise in the person’s direction.
Sensing she’d been found out, a fox with a mischievous grin on her face peeked around the corner. “Planning some sleepovers, Amy? Sounds like fun!” She snickered.
Shadow’s ears reddened at her implications, but Amy just shrugged it off with a smirk of her own “Jealous?” She stuck her tongue out.
The fox scoffed and left. Shadow scratched the back of his head, embarrassed. “You weren’t going to argue with that..?”
Amy snorted and side-eyed him. “And blab about this to anyone who asks? You’re a private person. I wouldn’t do that to you.”
“But she’s going to keep thinking you’re...I mean, we’re...uh...” he trailed off awkwardly.
Amy rolled her eyes. “Oh, no! My nosy neighbor is going to think I’m messing around with a handsome guy! What a nightmare!” she lamented sarcastically.
Shadow’s blush intensified. He hid his face once again, but then he murmured out a quiet, “Thank you.”
Amy giggled. “For calling you handsome?”
“No. For being you.”

Karl Heisenberg x reader
Word Count: 2k
Warnings: injury, cussing
Author’s Note: I hope you like this babes! Karl my beloved omg, slight re8 spoilers
Requested: by anon, Ooooo requests? Maybe? Idk it says open so I shall ✨request✨. M’kay, so I’m thinking that Karl has a gf that likes soft things (blankets, sweaters, pillows, pjs, that kind of stuff) and small enclosed spaces, so Karl makes a small-ish room for her to put all of her stuff in and cuddle up to for when she’s cold/wants to relax. Like she has a switch and a tv and wifi- it’s like a soft man cave but for her and Karl. Anyway, Ethan is looking for baby and comes across her room and tries to hide in it, not knowing she’s IN there and asleep. He gets in there, notices the blankets and pillows and accidentally steps on her ankle, which HURT and makes her scream. Karl hears said scream and comes barrelling over in protective bf mode to beat Ethan up. It’s up to you whether gf goes oi don’t be mean he’s looking for his baby” or not
Summary: the request
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director/creator

“I just think that it couldn’t be that hard for you to make a small place, hidden away.” Your voice didn’t carry far in the small room but it didn’t have to. You had a blanket over you as you sat up at the edge of the bed. Karl was walking back and forth around the room as he grabbed things to start his day. “You’re very good with your hands,” you said pleasantly. He pointed at you.
“You’re right about that.”
“Come on Karl. Just a small place. You can use it too if you want to run away for a minute.” He stopped in front of you, the first time he had stopped in a couple of minutes. You looked up at him and he looked down at you, caressing your cheek. He took a deep breath.
“I will see what I can do.” You grabbed his hand and slid it to your lips, kissing his palm.
“You’re the best.”
“I know.” He paused. “Say it again.”
“You’re the best Karl.” He leaned down and gave you a kiss before backing away to the door.
“You better believe it.”
===
You didn’t bring up your small place for a couple of days, just in case he really didn’t want to do it. You just figured that you could have a small room in the factory that no one but the two of you knew existed so you could finally have some privacy. You could fill it with soft things, blankets, pillows, all of that. And entertainment as well of course.
But he didn’t bring it up and you didn’t want to push it. He had a lot to do during his days and you didn’t want to add more stress.
You were sitting behind him, arms around his waist as he massaged your hands gingerly. You had your cheek pressed flat against his back as you both breathed, telling each other about your days.
“I made it.”
“Huh?”
“I made the room.” You backed up, pulling away from him. He had to turn because he wanted to know what your expression was. He was very pleased to find an overjoyed look.
“You aren’t messing with me are you?”
“No. Maybe. No, I’m not. I finished it earlier today, do you want to see it?” He had a goofy look on his face, like you wouldn’t want to see it.
“I would love to see it!”
He grabbed your arm and dragged you out of bed. You were allowed to walk around the factory but it still left you dizzy after walking around too long. Karl had given you a map and you had been around enough to know where you were going but there was still so much going on.
Fortunately Karl didn’t walk far as he led you down a hallway with a dead end.
“Not too far from the room so you won’t get lost,” he said condescendingly. You shoved him but he just smiled his little sarcastic smile at you. He kicked at the wall and a door opened just a little bit. You watched as he moved the very small door open to reveal a small cubby hole of a room. It was tall enough to fit the both of you which was preferred so you could both get in and out. There were blankets inside, along with things to entertain yourself.
You clapped your hands and fell onto the comfy ground, landing on a stuffed animal, pillow and blanket. You grabbed his hand.
“Come here, lay with me.”
“Maybe later kitten, I gotta get back to work,” he told you, leaning against the door frame.
“Well at least shut the door. We don’t want our little secret getting out or else Mother Miranda will find us here as well.” He rolled his eyes and stepped inside, careful not to smush anything with his work boots. You grinned as the door shut behind him. “Five minutes,” you whispered.
He let out an annoyed sigh despite not being annoyed in the slightest.
“Five minutes.”
You pulled him down to lay with you and started to explore the small place that he had built for you.
=====
All Ethan Winters knew at this point was running away from danger. He was always exhausted when the adrenaline wore out and he was sick and tired of having to find hiding spots.
That being said, he was currently looking for a hiding spot to guard him away from the horrors of this factory.
Breath heaving, he stopped running as he came to a hallway with a dead end. He turned around, hearing the horrific sounds of something or someone gaining on him. He put his back against the wall and then fell through it, surprised to land on a pleasant cloud of pillows and blankets. Realizing that this was a room he quickly shut the door with his foot so that no one would be able to find him in here.
He held his gun in his hand and put his back against the wall, looking around feverishly. The rooms were tall but the width was very very small, just enough space for maybe two people if they were really close to each other. Blankets covered the ground, making lumps and lumps of comfort.
Ethans eyes narrowed in confusion. Had he made it outside of the factory? This definitely didn’t look like Heisenbergs doing.
You opened your eyes slowly at someone landing on your feet. Naturally you figured it was Karl so you didn’t even raise your head much as you waited for him to search the blankets to find you. As you woke up from your sleep you heard the unfamiliar breathing of someone you did not recognize.
Your eyes snapped open and your heart started to beat quickly. You stayed still but the person stood up, standing very harshly on your ankle which must have twisted it or something but it hurt like a motherfucker. You yelped and sat up, eyes narrowing in on Ethan Winters, who you recognized from some pictures. He held the gun up to you but didn’t shoot, thank God.
“Hey hey hey!” you yelled, hands up. “I’m unarmed.” He looked terribly confused and didn’t lower his gun at all. You yanked your leg back to you and moved the blankets aside to see that your ankle was twisted in some kind of way. You couldn’t even tell what he had done but his boots were heavy and so was his step.
“Who are you?” he asked, breath not slowing down to an even pace.
“Y/N. You’re Ethan yeah? You stepped on my ankle!” He lowered his gun to your ankle to look and agreed, it did not look good.
“Listen I’m sorry I’m just trying to get out of-”
The door swung open causing you both to jump in surprise.
Karl stood there, big hammer in his hand as he looked between you and Ethan. He quickly surveyed the situation and noticed you holding your ankle. One look and he could tell, Ethan had done something to it.
Ethan raised his gun to Karl, annoyed he hadn’t been able to catch a break.
Karl felt his anger bubble in his chest at the sight of you hurt. He moved forward, grabbing Ethan by the shirt and lifting him in the air.
“You think you can just come into my factory and hurt Y/N of all people?” he sneered, voice deadly. Ethan had always heard a kind of sarcastic tinge to his voice but right now he was deadly serious. It sent a chill down his spine.
You stood up, using the wall to anchor you and gingerly holding your foot up above the ground to not put pressure onto it. You put a hand on Karls arm.
“He didn’t mean to. I’m sure you have plenty of other things to crucify him for but take it out of my room.” Karl didn’t even look over at you. You and Ethan met eyes and he weighed his options on trying to get sympathy out of you. He decided he probably could’t, not with Heisenberg right there.
“I’ll be right back,” Karl muttered. He took Ethan by the shirt and threw him out the door, following close behind. You looked down at the boot prints on your blankets and sighed.
====
Karl wasn’t gone more than 20 minutes and he came rushing back to you. He hated feeling so vulnerable, knowing people had the ability to hurt him so easily through you. He opened the door to your little room and started to panic when he saw you weren’t there.
He turned around, walking swiftly, trying not to act like he was panicked, back to yours and his room. You sat on the bed, some of the blankets from the tiny room on the ground. You had a first aid kit on the bed beside you as you attempted to bandage yourself up. It looked like you were failing.
“Where the hell did you go?” he asked and he meant for it to sound angry but it came out sounding more worried. You gestured to the blanket pile.
“Needed to clean the blankets. And also wrap this ankle up. Where’s Ethan?”
“Taken care of.” He kneeled in front of you and grabbed the wrap from you. He fumbled with the first aid kit. “How do you feel? Broken? Should I cut it off?” You scoffed.
“Maybe you should. It hurts like a motherfucker.”
“Well let’s get it wrapped and see how it does.” You nodded and let his fingers work their magic. When he was done you grabbed his hands.
“Thank you Karl.”
“I’m sorry he found you. I thought I hid it well enough.”
“It was an accident, don’t worry about it.” He nodded and you kissed his forehead with a smile. “Now go wash those blankets. Those are your boot prints, mister.” He wrapped his arms around your waist and laid down on the bed beside you.
“No, but thank you for asking.”
“Pff if you weren’t comfy I would kick you out right this very second.”

A prompt for the angst but!! How would the ros deal/treat/react to a newman that had frequent panic attacks? (If your comfortable answering, and no ones asked before) I imagine since the whole reason we're on earth is because we're trying to hide from this eldritch diety who wants to inhale us whole, and to top it all off newman doesnt even have enough energy to leave. That would cause any being an extreme of stress and anxiety. Especially after Tzr'nekre actually finally locates us
combining it with
if its not too spoilery, how would the ROs react to the MC waking up from a nightmare (say, one in which the RO got possessed by tzr'nekre?) and MC just clings to them, crying, after waking up, and refusing to explain but its obvious they had a terrible nightmare?
This isn’t what Fiama imagined when she was awaken by Newman’s warm face pressing against her breasts, ragged breathing and all. She wants to grab a hold of their head, hold them there, but as her hand brushes their cheek, she finds it damp. Maybe with sweat, maybe with tears.
“Baby?” she asks in a hushed whisper. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
The only reply she gets is a stuttering intake of breath. And then her partner’s arms are sneaking around her—one under her neck, the other around her waist—and Newman is squeezing her tight.
Fiama is strong, she has always been. Her mother once told her—not in kind terms—that she truly took after her father’s sisters; their arms, made to keep children from ripping one another’s eyes out, their legs to carry drunken husbands back home. Now, trapped in Newman’s strong embrace, she feels like the type of dainty, unobtrusive creature her mom wished she had grown into.
She takes a deep breath—as deep as she's able to within her lover’s tight grip—and tries again. “Babe… you’re… crushing me.”
The hold eases up an instant later, but Newman doesn’t let go. They bury their wet face in Fiama’s neck, still silent. It’s alarming to say the least, but she keeps her voice calm. “Are you hurting?” Newman shakes their head. “Are you sad?” She hugs them, feels them shaking in her arms—Newman doesn’t shake like this. “Are you scared?” She didn’t want to sound so flabbergasted (so ‘judgy’ her mother would say) but she can’t help it.
Once again, Newman doesn’t answer, but they do bury their face deeper into Fiama. It takes her by surprise; they have always seemed so unaffected by everything…
She hugs them tight and says the only thing she can think of, “I’m here, babe. And I’ll always be. I don’t know what or who is making you feel like this, but you aren’t alone. I’m with you.” She kisses the top of their head, murmuring every promise she knows she can keep.
A few minutes later, Newman is fast asleep again.
---
Sleeping next to another person in a bed that wasn’t made to be shared by two adults is uncomfortable, but it was late and Newman hadn’t brought their bike, ignoring that Joaquin’s car was at the shop, and Lucia had taken hers that night.
It’s ok, Jonny thinks to himself while he stares at the ceiling, we’ll just wait until my folks leave for work tomorrow. It doesn’t have to get awkward for anyone.
When was the last time he’d shared a bed? Probably when he was around twelve and Quino got scared by a storm and woke him up in the middle of the night, cold hands slipping under the sheets and touching the back of his neck. Dumbass always did the same thing, no matter how many times Jonny punched him to dissuade him. Of course Jonny could never stay mad at his twin for long, and they would share the bed in the end—Jonny grousing about Quino’s cold hands and Quino whining about Jonny hogging the covers.
As if invoking his brother, he feels hands around his neck now; cold, sweaty hands. Even though they don't belong to Quino, the way they’re clinging to him is pretty reminiscent of the way his twin used to squeeze him whenever lightning stroke too close.
“Are you ok?” he asks stupidly. Of course they aren’t; Newman is scared. “What is it?” he tries again, but Newman says nothing, they only keep tightening their grasp around Jonny. He takes their hands and tries to free himself. “Newman, you’re going to choke me.”
Slowly, those cold fingers loosen, giving him a chance to sit up.
“Don’t go!”
“Hush,” Jonny hisses. “Damn it, Newman. Remember we aren’t alone.” He takes the hand that is now gripping the front of his shirt and tries to hold it, but Newman doesn’t budge. “Please,” he whispers.
“Don’t go,” it’s the barely audible plea he gets as a reply.
“I won’t,” he assures them. After another second, Newman lets go, and Jonny takes the hand and gently rubs it between his. “Come here,” he whispers, and Newman doesn’t need to be told twice. They get between his legs and rest on their side and against Jonny’s chest. Jonny takes the covers and pulls them over both of them, and there, with an arm around Newman’s shoulder, he can feel their muscles begin to slowly relax.
---
Roach didn’t usually do this; lying down in bed while their conquests sleep. They had realized that there was so much one could do to pass the time, and watching people drooling was amusing just the first dozen times.
They turn another page of the magazine they stole from that gas station three towns over, the one with the old, balding clerk that had given Roach the evil eye from the moment they dared to set a foot in his territory.
The light is off but that’s ok because Roach doesn’t need it to read, the same way they don’t need it to sneak glances at Newman’s sleeping form. It’s something they do, they tell themself, to pass the time, and not because Newman’s face is nice to look at or anything like that. They aren’t expecting to find their companion awake the next time they look their way, least of all with a terrified look set on their face.
Roach opens their mouth to ask what’s going on, but the words die out as they are wrapped in a tight embrace. The fact that they were so distracted by Newman’s expression that their reflexes vanished for a hot minute, says something. Something Roach doesn’t want to acknowledge right now, so they don’t. Instead, they let their body go limp in Newman’s arms, let them squeeze and squash until they seem to come out of their trance.
“R-Roach?”
“Yes?” they ask in return.
“Are you… ok?”
Roach wriggles to put some distance between Newman and them—as much as their companion’s steel grip allows, anyway—and runs a hand over Newman’s face, wiping off the sweat. “Just a couple broken ribs,” they say, “I’ll live. What about you? What had you panicking like this?”
Newman retracts from those words like a shy snail. It really takes Roach by surprise. They can’t think of many things that might scare Newman, which at least makes the list of suspects quite short.
“Hey,” they whisper in a way that they hope sounds both unaffected and reassuring, “I would know, remember? There’s only you and me here, no third roommate. You can relax.”
Their words, true as they are, do very little to calm Newman down, so Roach sighs and nuzzles against their jaw. “Squeeze away then,” they mutter and kiss Newman’s skin. “I’ll be the prettiest stress ball you’ll ever have.”
---
It isn’t a gentle awakening. Horizon’s muddled thoughts crash into one another as the Domini unsuccessfully tries to slip away from the tight embrace they are being subjected to. What’s going on? their mind asks, half asleep, half panicking.
Memories from last night come back to them as if slogging through a swamp; they remember having dinner with Newman, chatting and somehow ending up in bed together. They remember the tenderness of the moment, the way they felt like they could melt as Newman and they cuddled together...
Horizon strains their neck trying to look over their shoulder, but even with the rays of moonlight seeping through the window, the only thing they have an eyeful of it’s their own dark curls. Newman’s chest is pressed against Horizon’s back and now that the Domini is fully awake, they can feel the other’s racing heartbeat. It scares Horizon, it makes them want to ask what’s going on, what happened to Newman, what, what, what…
They fight those urges. They take a deep breath, find one of Newman’s hands and softly cover it with theirs. “You are in my cabin,” they whisper, “you are in ranch 48, in Luna Ridge. We had diner and I asked you to spend the night. Remember that?”
There’s a long pause, then Horizon feels them nodding against their back. A couple seconds later the iron grip eases up. It gives the Domini a chance to turn around, and very gently press their forehead against Newman’s damp one. “Deep breaths,” they whisper and then are doing just that, hoping Newman will follow their example. An instant later, they are.
Feeling Newman’s muscles relax as they get their breathing under control brings a smile to the Domini’s face.

By the time they pull into Eddie’s driveway Buck’s hands still haven’t stopped shaking.
He vividly remembers that day he spent driving around Los Angeles with Abby, searching for her mom, the day they saved the little girl in the pool. He remembers the way he lined his hand up with hers and told her that the first couple of weeks on the job he couldn’t keep his hands from shaking with the adrenaline. But Abby was good at compartmentalizing; her hands never shook.
Buck still hasn’t learned how to do that with the people he cares about. He’s beginning to think he never will.
Eddie had been held hostage for under two hours and made it out unscathed, and yet Buck couldn’t get his fucking hands to stop shaking. He felt like a wire with the coating stripped off, ripped down the middle, frayed open, ready to spark and catch fire at any moment. But he’d been feeling like that a lot lately if he was being honest. Not that anyone asked.
And he didn’t expect anyone to because everyone else had their own problems and it was his job at the moment to just pull his shoulders back and keep it together. That was all he was supposed to do. He could do that.
“Uh, let me get your bag,” Buck mumbles as Eddie opens his side door to climb out. He switches the engine off and jumps out before he can see the glare Eddie shoots in his direction.
He still feels it anyway.
“I can get my own bag,” Eddie says, his tone flat. He feels too tired to argue but there’s an energy vibrating under his skin that he hasn’t been able to shake since they pulled up to the scene and he found himself staring down the barrel of someone else’s gun. It’s making him irritable and jumpy and all he wants to do is climb into bed and forget.
Buck doesn’t even grace him with a response, pulling both of their bags out of the back seat and slinging them over his shoulders, glancing once at Eddie before marching towards the front door.
“Nothing even happened to me, Buck,” Eddie calls after him, following on his heels. “I’m fine.”
Buck still doesn’t say anything as he pulls out his ring of keys and unlocks the front door. He slips off his shoes in the entryway and drops both of their bags by the couch. Eddie follows him into the kitchen.
“Buck - Buck, come on man you don’t have to take care of me I’m-“
“Stop telling me that you’re fine,” Buck growls suddenly, spinning around to face Eddie. “I am sick and tired of hearing it. You got shot, Eddie, okay? Five months ago you got shot and you started having panic attacks and you hid it from me.”
Eddie blinks at Buck for a second, shocked, before his brain kicks back on. Being around Buck is one of the easiest things for Eddie to do, but the moment Buck starts to care too much, when he starts to push - either with wide eyes full of nothing but love and care that make him want to crawl into himself and never come back out - or like this, with venom and anger that coat the underlying fear and worry, it becomes hard.
He defaults to anger. He wishes it wasn’t so easy but it’s the one thing he’s been prepared to do his whole life; fight.
“I wasn’t hiding it from you. I was managing it on my own.”
“You’re my partner.”
“Yeah, and it wasn’t about work,” Eddie stresses, feeling antsy. He turns away from Buck and takes a couple of steps around the corner. He needs to put some space between them. “It was personal, okay? And I dealt with it.”
“Right,” Buck said, voice dripping with the kind of bitterness that Eddie can feel creeping onto his own tongue. “Because you don’t panic anymore, right?”
Eddie’s eyes flick down. The familiar sensation of bile laced with the accusation of liar rises in his throat and he struggles to swallow it down. He still panics; he just didn’t think anyone noticed.
“I can handle it on my own,” Eddie says quietly.
“When are you going to realize that you don’t have to?” Buck pleads, leaning against the counter opposite Eddie. “When are you going to let me help you?”
“I don’t need help,” Eddie says, retreating back and looking anywhere but at Buck. God, he was just trapped at gunpoint for nearly two hours can he catch a fucking break? He feels like he can’t breathe.
“Eddie.”
“I’m fine.”
“Eddie, you got shot.” Buck is begging him to talk about it, screaming practically. And he’s been screaming for weeks, months, doing all but dropping to his knees in front of Eddie and begging him to open up and talk to him about it and Eddie gets it but ultimately. Ultimately.
Eddie wishes Buck would shut up.
You got shot, remember?
He wishes he could make him shut up. He wishes he could make Buck leave his apartment and get back into his jeep and drive to his own place and never fucking talk about any of this again. Because of course he remembers getting shot. He remembers all of it.
He remembers standing out in the middle of the street thinking about hopping into the ambulance with Charlie right before a bullet ripped through his one good shoulder. That’s four times now. He remembers hitting the hard cement and feeling the blood pool under his body, remembers the familiar sickly feeling that comes with the realization that you’re losing too much blood, before you start to lose your grip on the world around you. He remembers staring across the pavement at Buck and thinking it would be okay, because Buck was okay.
He remembers waking up in the hospital, drugged up and confused and searching for blue eyes and a blood-splattered face. He remembers waking up to Ana smiling down at him with watery eyes and he remembers the way she barely concealed her disappointment when he immediately asked for Buck - but he was passed caring at that point. He remembers the day he had to wait, slipping in and out of consciousness, Ana making occasional small talk, until he was finally cleared for more visitors, and Buck came rushing into the room like a vision of something holy, his face clean, his smile bright.
He remembers the moment Buck said he wished he had gotten shot instead and when Eddie slipped back into another drug-induced sleep the only words on his mind were no, not you. Never you.
He remembers sitting on the edge of the hospital bed with Buck, the distance between them too much and not enough at the same time. He remembers struggling to find the right words, fumbling to find his footing, feeling stripped bare as he told Buck that he loved him. But the words came out you act like you’re expendable, but you’re wrong instead.
He remembers never feeling so cracked open and vulnerable in his entire life and it was terrifying. So he did what he does best and he retreated into the shadows and licked his wounds in private and put himself back together as best he could so that the next time someone saw him they didn’t look at him as if he were about to break.
And maybe it was a shit job and he still felt like he was barely held together by string most days but he was doing fine. He was back at work and Christopher was still happy even without Ana around and he was making it work.
So he didn’t give a damn if Buck thought he wasn’t doing enough. He didn’t want to relive the shooting again, he had moved on. He was fine.
He was fine.
Or at least, he was fine up until 7 hours ago when they got a call to an office building that turned into a goddamn hostage situation and Eddie spent the better part of an hour with a gun to his head.
He was fine.
He was fine.
“Eddie, Eddie,” Buck’s voice is loud and sudden in his ear and Eddie startles, staring up at him. He blinks a couple of times before he realizes that he’s on the floor and that Buck’s kneeling over him.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” Buck’s saying over and over again. “I shouldn’t have pushed you, fuck, I’m sorry.”
Fuck. Another panic attack.
Maybe he can’t pretend that he’s fine anymore.
“Buck,” Eddie says. Buck’s eyes fly to his and Eddie feels the bile rise again when he realizes Buck is crying.
This isn’t the first time tonight that Buck has cried. Over him.
“I’m so sorry, Eds,” Buck says again, his voice worn, and Eddie remembers him screaming. For him. “I just almost lost you again and I’m so fucking sick of it. I can’t keep doing this.”
“I’m sorry,” Eddie says because he doesn’t know what else to say.
Buck stares at him for a second, eyes wild, before he squeezes them shut and stretches his legs out in front of him, settling down on the floor across from Eddie.
It’s dark in Eddie’s apartment, the only light spilling in from the entryway, cloaking the two of them in warm dim light.
Eddie always found it easier being honest in the dark.
“I’m scared too,” He admits quietly. Buck’s eyes look too blue in the dark.
“I know. I’m sorry I’ve been so pushy. I just…I never wanted to make what happened about me…but I can see you struggling and it’s like - the only thing I know how to do is push. I can see it eating away at you.”
“I want to forget it ever happened,” Eddie says quickly, honestly.
Buck licks his lips. Nervous. “I get that. But…ignoring it doesn’t mean it never happened, you know?”
“It just…feels easier.”
“It’s killing you, Eddie.”
I was never meant to live this long anyway, is on the tip of Eddie’s tongue - but that’s too dark. Too much. Too honest. He shoves it back down.
One day something’s going to take him. Maybe it’ll be a bullet, maybe it won’t. Maybe it’ll be the crushing guilt he’s carried ever since he was a kid, too young to learn what that kind of guilt felt like.
“At least Chris will be taken care of if it does,” He says before he can stop himself, before he can remind himself that that’s something he shouldn’t say out loud. The pained look on Buck’s face feels like a slap in the face.
“What about you?” Buck grinds out, voice still hoarse. “Who the fuck is gonna take care of you - now?”
Eddie shrugs, “I can take care of myself.”
“Bullshit,” Buck snaps. “Full offense but I’ve seen the way you care for yourself.”
“It’s what I do, Buck,” Eddie says, leaning his head back against the cabinets and squeezing his eyes shut. “It’s - I can handle myself. I can’t…do this to anyone else. It was too much for Shannon - hell, even as a kid I was too much for my parents. I can’t.”
“Let me take care of you,” Buck says quickly and earnestly and the words shoot straight through Eddie’s heart. He couldn’t.
“No,” Eddie starts, sitting up straighter.
“Eddie, I can’t lose you,” Buck says with enough conviction to shut Eddie up for a second.
Because some part of Eddie has always been aware of the lengths to which Buck would crawl through fire and rain for him - because that’s who Buck is. Buck is the guy who puts everyone else before him, who will always put his life on the line first. Not because he wants to be the hero - but because he never thinks his own life is important enough to stop and consider the consequences.
Or at least, that’s what Eddie thought. But Eddie’s seen him hesitate more lately. He’s seen him pull back, actually listen to Bobby. And Eddie thought it was the will that was holding him back. And that was almost enough to soothe the constant ache in his chest.
But then Eddie got taken hostage. And it was like they were on that street again. And Eddie watched the fear strike Buck like a bolt of lightning, lighting him up from head to toe, nervous electricity in his veins. He saw the raw determination in his eyes, the devotion and instinct at war with responsibility and promise.
For a second, among the buzz at the base of his skull and the shrill ambiance of police cars, swat, and the ambulance, it hit Eddie. It wasn’t Buck being Buck. It was Eddie. It was Eddie that turned off every switch in Buck’s brain but his inherent instincts. It was Eddie in danger that broke him.
Eddie had never seen it before. And he’s been trying his damned best to shove it in the box labeled DO NOT TOUCH along with all of the other shit he’s been ignoring for the last five months.
It seems like it’s all coming out tonight.
Buck continues, “I don’t. I don’t want to do this without you. I can’t. Five months ago you sat with me in the hospital and - everyone always tells me that I’m reckless, you know? Or that I’m dumb or that I don’t think or that I want to be some hero. But you…you didn’t say any of that. And - and you made me feel like I was important. Like my life…was important. Is important. And I needed that, Eddie. So bad.
“Let me do the same thing for you,” Buck’s on the edge of begging again. “What do I have to do for you to realize that you’re important? That I need you? Because I do. God, Eddie, I need you…”
Eddie stares at him, wide-eyed and frozen in place. He’s never been loved like this before, has he?
Because that’s what this is. There’s no denying it anymore. That’s what Buck and Eddie do. They love each other. With some sort of deep-running unbreakable devotion that wraps around them constantly and pulls them closer and closer together.
That’s what Eddie’s been fighting all these months. The closeness.
Because it was easy before - to keep getting closer to Buck because it was safe, it meant they cared about each other, it meant that Buck would do his best to get Eddie home to his son and if all else failed Chris would have someone who loved him, who would look after him. That was good. That was safe.
But when the shooting happened and I have your back turned into I can’t live without you and Eddie realized that what he thought was a contingency plan that he had been slowly and methodically setting up was actually a living breathing family that they’d built - and all of a sudden the only way he ever wanted to live his life was with Buck and Christopher safely by his side - it wasn’t safe anymore. It was dangerous.
Eddie had been fighting so hard to keep Buck at arm's length so he could protect this system that he had come to rely on. Because now when he looked at Buck all he could see was the love and devotion reflecting back at Eddie. And that was terrifying.
Because Eddie had opened himself up to being loved before. And that ended in years of separation, divorce, and ultimately Shannon’s death. Maybe Eddie didn’t believe in signs - or maybe he just wanted to keep pretending the signs weren’t there. Because he was fairly certain that if the universe did send signs then Shannon’s death was the ultimate sign of them all, a symbol of what Eddie did to people.
He didn’t want to let Buck love him because he didn’t want to risk losing Buck.
But he is risking losing Buck the more he pushes him away…he’s risking breaking Buck. And ultimately he’s risking breaking himself. Because he can’t do this without Buck either.
“I need you too,” Eddie says, his voice barely a whisper. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to - I’m sorry. I’m just - I’m scared, Buck. I’m so scared.”
He’s crying. It’s like a dam broke loose with the quiet admittance and now it’s all coming out. He’s scared. He’s frightened. He’s terrified. He’s in love.
Buck’s crowding into his space, shoving himself up onto his knees between Eddie’s legs and crushing their bodies together, his long arms wrapping around Eddie and pulling him into his chest, tucking his head under Buck’s chin until he feels safe, protected, in Buck’s arms.
“I’ve got you,” Buck whispers into Eddie’s hair. Just a couple of hours ago they were in this same position, on the grass outside the office building, just after Eddie was released and SWAT rolled in. Eddie thinks that the safest place on earth might be right here in Buck’s arms.
“I can’t lose you either,” Eddie croaks, hands clawing at Buck’s back. “I can’t.”
“You won’t,” Buck says with the stubborn confidence that’s inherent to Buck. And Eddie believes him, he does. “Whatever you need, I’ve got you, okay?”
“I need you.”
“You’ve got me. You always have, Eddie,” Buck whispers, pressing a kiss to the top of Eddie’s head.
I love you is what he wants to say. He wants to say it every day; when Buck walks into the locker room and greets Eddie with a private smile like it’s not 6 am and he’d rather be anywhere else, when he bumps Eddie’s shoulder as they walk to the truck, when he pulls his helmet off after a tough call and holds eye contact with Eddie just long enough to communicate are you good?
Maybe he can’t say it just yet.
Maybe this isn’t the right time or place.
But he thinks Buck knows. And he thinks - no he knows, Buck feels the same.
Maybe one day they’ll get there.
But tonight it’s enough to just hold each other, to feel the solid, warm reminder that they’re alive.
It’s enough, for now, to just be together.

aizawa shouta | eraserhead x student!reader
[ read part 2 here ]
word count: 3.4k
genre: alpha/omega, omegaverse, m/f, afab reader, student/teacher, smut with little plot
A late-blooming student finds herself trapped in the school, yearning for someone to ease her unfamiliar, painful urges.
warnings: 18+, smut, oral, fingering, cunnilingus
notes: Hello, just as a warning, this is my first time in many years posting any written work so I'm pretty rusty and self-conscious about it (please be gentle!) Also - my first time doing any form of a/b/o, so I hope it's okay!
Aizawa just released something feral in me that made me want to write a lengthy, lusty fiction about him.
This is Part 1 of 2 of this fiction. I wanted to see if there was any reception or interest in this piece before sharing the final part.
All characters are 18+. Reader is a mature student presumably finishing her final semester of school, or attending an extra year.
Anyway, please enjoy!

Aizawa gave a hefty groan, pinching the skin on the bridge of his nose. A nagging stress entered the back of his mind as he proceeded to the opposite side of the door.
When your classmate had cornered him in his office earlier, wailing about how “Y/N doesn’t want to come out! She said she feels too sick to go to practice!” He already knew what he was in for.
“Alright, I’ll go see what's wrong…” Aizawa nonchalantly replied, waving the boy away. “Go outside and start without her.” He commanded, not letting him get another word in. The student gave a compliant but nervous nod before exiting the room.
The professor let out a sigh, perking his ear up to the door. He hesitantly raised his knuckles up to the surface, knocking on it with little force, but enough that it could be heard from the other side. He held his breath for a moment. A sweet, tantalizing scent crept from beneath the barrier between him and his student.
“Don’t come in!!” Shouted a voice laced with panic in reply to the knock.
“Don’t worry, it’s me.” Aizawa said, lowering his palm to the handle of the locker room. He didn’t need to speak his name for you to know. He was patient, letting you bask in the silence for a moment. The scent emitting from the room made a couple beads of sweat roll down the back of his neck, but he was able to shake it off.
“I can’t let you.. see me like this…” Your tone was shaky and barely audible, but he’d caught it.
“I can help you.” He persisted to push the handle downward.
The bond you’d grown with your teacher in your three years at UA was strong and trusting. You knew that any advice he was willing to offer you would be right. He was always right. You were happy to have a mentor so willing to sacrifice his time and listen to you when you needed it, and this was no exception.
Aizawa delicately pushed the door open, only an inch into it before the odor was able to escape, already knocking him back; angelic, rosey scents filling his nostrils. Saliva pooled underneath the back of his tongue as he took the fragrance in. He shut his eyes and let out another soft huff before propping the door open with one foot. He could sense your panic rising as he shuffled forward.
“...I promise you’ll be okay.” He assured you, his hand curling around the frame. He continued to stay cautious and non-threatening, making sure you had enough time to prepare for his entry.
“I don’t want you to see me so..” you hesitated, attempting to stiffen a cry building up in your throat, “..weak.” The word rolled off your tongue like it was filth.
Aizawa entered the room, seemingly unphased by the aura of hormones that was now engulfing him. He gently let the door slide closed behind him, carefully locking it for any students that dared to interrupt them. A small but caring smirk graced his face as he looked before him.
He saw you curled up in the back corner of the changeroom, sitting on a bench with your knees tucked into your chest. You held the bunched up top to your gym uniform, hugging it to the flushed skin of your torso for safety, your chest covered only by a tightly binding sports bra. You sunk your head down, trying not to make eye contact with the teacher as he proceeded forward. He gingerly perched himself on the bench next to you, leaving a comfortable amount of space, before bending forward to look at you.
“Hey..” His hair curtained around his face as he leaned forward, softly cupping the opposite side of your face in his hand.  He pulled your head over to look at him. The unexpected touch made you squirm, squeezing your eyes closed, but you refused to fight his caress. “You’re the strongest person I know.” His thumb massaged your cheek up and down. Your bottom lip quivered, still attempting to fight the surge of emotions that were coursing through you as you finally met his gaze. Your eyes brimming with tears, making your vision blurry, as you continued to choke them back. It was simple, but his words meant a lot.
You and him both knew that you had a complicated relationship with your femininity. You saw it as a burden, getting in the way from people taking you seriously. You blocked it out in any way you could, to reflect a more intimidating, headstrong persona. Focusing on close-combat studies and fighting techniques, convincing the staff to let you wear the boy’s uniform, attending all the extra curricular sporting events - the reason you were even here on a weekend to begin with. It wasn’t just a means of coming off as adrogynous though, you genuinely enjoyed these things.
“How can I be strong if I’m...” You looked away, afraid that admitting you were an Omega out loud would somehow make it worse. You didn’t want to come to terms with it.
“...C’mere kid.” He removed his hand from your face while straightening up, leaning his back against the wall behind him. His arm raised, placing it on your shoulder to pull you into his chest for a gentle embrace.
You’d been close to Aizawa before, but never anything like this. Playful jabs here and there, sarcastic shoves in the hallway, there was even that time he had to step in to use his binding cloth to stop you from beating on some punk that made fun of your quirk - but this tender feeling he was sharing was a whole new territory.
You took it in, allowing some of the pent up tears to escape from your eyes. A quiet sob forced itself out of your throat, your body vibrating with each cry. Aizawa rubbed your back, slowly, carefully, letting you bask in the feelings. The fear that you had reverberated throughout the room was beginning to subside, and he could tell. You laid against the man in silence for a moment, the heavy thumping of his heart lulling your anxieties. You breathed in gradually, putting your sniveling to rest, but as you did, you noticed something off.
A flush of red emanated from your face as your nose raised slightly gravitating toward Aizawa’s head. A waft of strong musk filled your senses. It was savory, and heavy, and…“Hnghh.”  A breathy sigh escaped your mouth as your hand gripped the fabric of the teacher’s shirt. You had little control over your next movement, stretching forward to nuzzle your face against his neck, taking in as much of the aroma as you could. Now that you’d let your defenses down, Aizawa's dominant atmosphere was beginning to encapsulate you.
“Whoa there.” He let out a chuckle but continued to let you explore, eventually expecting this kind of reaction to his presence. He gracefully shifted his hand, placing it above your hip, both to keep you stable as you moved, and to give him the pleasure of being able to embrace the smooth, supple flesh.
“I’m...sorry..” You said, beginning to retreat from him as the realisation of what you were doing began to sink in. “Oh, oh no.. I’m sorry..!” Your heart fluttered as you pulled back to your safe spot on the bench.
He gave his head a shake and continued to give you your space. “No need to be sorry.” He assured you, scratching the back of his head. His voice was tender and dreamy to your ears, it sent goosebumps down your arms. Suddenly sitting in a lecture just to listen to your teacher’s dark, gritty voice rant about hero politics sounded appealing. Admittedly this brief embrace made the resistance to act on his urges much harder than before, but he persisted.
Suddenly you let out an aching gasp. You pulled your body toward yourself, your arm reaching around your abdomen as you felt that intense pressure building up inside your gut again, tinges of pain and aching threatening your core. You’d felt this earlier when you had the room to yourself. It made you hot, your breath beginning to pick up as your body reeled in a feverish sweat. You didn’t want him to see you like this and now that your guard was down, it was taking control.
“Hurt…. it hu..rts..” You managed to spit out. Shouta cocked his head to the side.
“Is this your first time..?” He planted his hand on your back once more, making sure you knew his company was welcoming. All you could do was let out a quick nod. You squeezed your legs together, feeling an intense heat present itself in your center, your gasps becoming more hefty and impossible to contain.
“Wow, a late bloomer.” Aizawa strategically pondered for a moment, “Well, I should go inform Recovery Girl of how you’r-”
“..No!” You cut him off before he could finish, a tremble in your voice. “Please, can you...” Embarrassment took over causing your speech to trail off, your arm shakely reaching out and clenching around the sleeve beside his hand. Your desires were continuing to take hold and Aizawa’s scent was becoming more and more irresistible as time went on, “..can you help me?”
The edge of his mouth curled up into a smile, disguising itself behind his shield of dark locks. Just as he’d expected.
Now, this wasn’t his first time dealing with a student in heat. Although the population of Omegas was on the lower side, there had been a few students in his years of teaching that had to get medicated and sent home for a few days to deal with their inflamed, unpredictable hormones. And professors, especially Alpha professors, were instructed on the responsibility of containing those natural urges and how to offer students help when they were in their most vulnerable state.
He did genuinely want to help. Seeing your pleas to get rid of this nasty heat made his heart ache and he didn’t want to deny you the option for any outside aid, but he knew you would place trust in him and he was willing to offer it.
Without answering Aizawa leaned forward. He curled his other hand up behind your head, letting his fingers trail through your hair to embrace your scalp. Immediately a shiver fell down your spine as he bent over you; first planting a kiss on your forehead, then he trailed downward, peppering a couple kisses on your tear-stained cheek. The weight of your head cradled into his hand as he continued, his mouth trailing down the length of your neck, his tongue messaging down the length of your skin. Your breathing increased as you let out a cute whimper, your core pulsated. He then paused just above your shoulder, letting in a deep inhale. Your scent was enchanting, sweet, and made his head spin. He dared to let his teeth graze that special spot, smirked, and then placed one final peck there before abruptly pushing his mouth against yours. You immediately felt a rush of heat rise into your stomach as his lips collided with yours. They were so soft and experienced, but juxtaposed by the rough facial hair that scraped against your chin.
Even though it was you who’d requested it, you were having a tough time wrapping your head around the order of events that lead you here. Finding it difficult to reciprocate the kiss, he began to ease his tongue inside your mouth. Your eyebrows raised, but eyes remaining sealed shut as the twitching muscle explored your mouth, the roughness of his flesh against yours causing you to feel slick drip between your thighs.
You pulled your mouth away releasing an overwhelmed heave, a string of saliva still leaving you connected to the man.
His eyes furrowed, a worrying expression plastered his face making sure you were okay.
“..I forgot to...breathe.” A rosy tint burned your cheeks before you both let out a small chuckle that eased the tension. He then placed his forehead against yours.
“Keep going..?” At this point he was probably too far gone but he thought he’d at least give you the false sense of reassurance.
Despite the flustering heat that Aizawa stirred into you from his kisses, the pain in your curve was urging on to the point of becoming unbearable. Your hands trembled but quickly grabbed his chest to pull him back into the embrace. He took this as a ‘yes’ and fell back into the deep kiss, proceeding to cup his hand around your left breast. He kneaded the bosom in his hand before trailing his mouth down your neck once again, this time pulling and suckling at the skin, leaving playful little bites - but not enough to bruise. His hands trailed down to the edge of your bra. You bit down on your lip as he yanked it upward and over your head.
A nearly inaudible “Wow..” escaped from his mouth as he leaned back to take your figure in, not sure if it was meant for your ears to hear. Your defenseless upper half was paler than usual and coated with a perspiring sheen due to your sickly urges.
“Don’t stare..” You grumbled, refusing to meet his eyes as his hand regained its place against your chest. He was shocked you were able to contain them within the bounds of a thin fabriced sports bra all the time, let alone while they were aching and swelling from your heat. You did a very good job of keeping it that way.
He smirked once more before lowering his head, taking the erect pink bud between his lips, lapping his tongue over it again and again. You shuddered as he sucked it into his mouth, his opposite hand fondling the other. But no matter how much he kissed and caressed your shivering body, it wasn’t satisfying the heavy hunger sweltering in the pits of your core. “Please..” You whined above his head, frustratingly clenching your fingers into your palms, “Mister Aizawa, please...I can’t wait anymore.”
Aizawa pulled his mouth away, nuzzling his face between your chest for just a moment before raising back up.
“Soon.” He simply but firmly stated, pulling his binding cloth above his head and tossing it to the floor, making sure it wouldn’t get in the way.
He then bent down, wrapping his arm around the calves of your legs and pulling them onto the wide bench. He moved his own leg over the opposite side of the bench so that it was now in between him.
“Now,”  he looked as you impatiently quivered, trailing his intense stare down your body, “What’s the damage?” You let out an offended huff at his wording, but held your complaints in. You figured any sort of noncompliance would lead you to a one-way trip to the medic.
Shouta really didn’t need to ask, but your fluster enticed him even more. The bottoms of your navy gym uniform had a dark patch stained through them long before the moment he’d entered, by this point it had traveled down your legs.
“Looks like we’re gonna have to find you another pair of those, huh?” He reached forward tracing his hands around the edges of the waistband before pulling the sweats down. You shifted as it tickled your sides. He then tossed them to the floor alongside his equipment.
Your hands reached up to cover your face as his gaze pierced through you. No matter how desperate you were to get some relief, you still couldn’t get past the vulnerability of being sprawled out in front of him like this, let alone, someone actually known for having a deeply intimidating stare.
He tenderly pulled one of your hands away, taking it in his own. This was the first time you’d really noticed how big his were in comparison, cupping around your delicate digits. He closed his eyes, leaving a few tender kisses inside your palm before deeply inhaling the aroma radiating from your wrist. He let it go and looked back, his palms now resting on your thighs, pushing them apart with a surprising amount of ease. You aligned yourself on the bench, propping your back against the wall.
Aizawa bowed over your lower half, leaning into the heat pulsating between your legs. He hadn’t even touched you before your heart began to race, your breath trailing close behind. Your anticipation for him made his heart melt but he couldn’t resist dragging this out for as long as he could. He wanted to make your first heat special for you - memorable - even.
It wasn’t long before Aizawa’s mouth was trailing up the length of your leg. The closer he got, the more unbearably hard it was to not just let his primal instincts take over and ravage your pretty, little entrance with his aching cock. No, Aizawa. He cursed at himself for even thinking that.
Shouta’s tongue danced up your thigh before hitting the edge of your drenched panties. He left soft little nips with his teeth in your thigh, leaving you breathless, before kissing the fabric. He nudged his nose against the surface of it, prodding your sensitive core before letting his tongue fall down its length, intentionally heaving his hot, eager breath against you. You let out a loud gasp that left you clutching your mouth. He smiled once more before taking the edges of the fabric between his fingers and pulling them down, finally revealing your throbbing, leaking pussy.
“Oh, sweetheart…” He sighed into you, sharing a few more kisses before sliding his tongue through those tender, pink folds. You cocked your head back gently scooching your hips towards him, your humiliation suddenly masked by your intense lust for the man.
Aizawa took in all the senses surrounding him. The delightful squeaks you made as he trailed his muscle along your slit, the delicious distinctly omega flavours that drenched his mouth, the way you convulsed and your knees buckled every time he slid his lips or nose against your sensitive, budding clit. He then pulled your legs over his shoulders, giving him more leverage to dive into you.
You reached your hand out as your gasps deepened, he looked up from you inquisitively before reaching his out in return. You laced your fingers between his, yearning for that simple grasp. You held on to it as a form of security, giving soft squeezes to the man every time it was too intense, or a loving stroke of your thumb against his skin when it was just right.
He narrowed his focus back on you, slowly bringing his other hand to your slit. While his tongue massaged your pulsating pearl, he sank two fingers deep inside your entrance. Unsurprisingly your hole was ready and more than willing to accept them. The amount of slick you’d produced was evident enough. You bit down on your lip and let out a whimper as he now began pumping you with his fingers alongside his mouth, your natural lubricant gliding down his hand.
Earlier you’d tried doing the same, attempting to satisfy your intense craving with masturbation alone, but it was never enough. Nothing felt like enough. But Aizawa’s fingers reached parts that you couldn’t, curling and prodding that sensitive area, hiding toward your stomach.
“God..” Your eyes rolled back as you bucked yourself against him, but you still yearned for more. “S...Sensei..” He could see you getting close, your little hand clenching in his own as he rhythmically persisted, your breaths more shaky and sporadic. “Shou..ta..!!” He loved the way his name rolled off your tongue, his cock twitching against his leg from the sound of it. He pulled his hand back and plunged his long fingers even harder and more vigorously, this time including a third. You let out a little shriek while he basically drowned amongst your tiny folds, his fingers driving into you at a steady cadence. He felt as your plush, sensitive walls tightened around his dexterous touch, quivering as you climaxed before him.
You gulped hard trying to let your mind catch up to your body, releasing a steady pant.
“That was great, kitten.” He gave your thigh one last kiss before raising up. “...You did so well.”

@alphawolfanimates2 had some good ideas so here is one of them that I wanted to write. Hope you like this!
The prompt was human Phil finds tiny techno so I’m making this a borrower story. (Techno has some human tech and built a computer and meet Phil online)
(Warning: fear I guess? Unintentionally fearplay It’s fluffy though)
———————————————————————
Techno knew he shouldn’t go at during the day. It was to dangerous. But the human was in his room and he hadn’t eaten in days. He pulled on his cape and grabbed his sword. It was just a sewing needle but it worked. He made sure he was extra careful. He had never actually seen the human that lived here and he didn’t care to. They where just another stupid bean.
Techno walked out on top on the cabinets in the kitchen. He looked around to make sure he was by himself. He was. He tied his string onto a nail and threw down the string to be to the counter. It was a long way down, but he had done this so many times he was used to it. He held on tight to the string and started to climb down.
Phil sighed rubbing his face. He had been working for a long time and he need to eat something. He got up from his desk and went to the kitchen. The opened his door flinching as it hit the wall with a bang.
Techno yelped as there was a loud bang through the house. He lost his hold on the string and fell a little before his leg got caught in the string. He gritted his teeth at the pain on the tight string around his ankle. He was glad he hadn’t fallen all the way down, but he couldn’t move now. He tried to stay calm and get his foot untangled. But that calm quickly turned into panic as he heard foot steps coming to the kitchen.
Phil walked around not his kitchen focusing on getting food from the fridge. He had half a sandwich saved and brought it over to the counter to get chips. He looked to the cabinet and froze. Right in front of his face was....well he wasn’t sure what it was. There dangling from a string was a tiny person? They starred at each other in shook for what felt like forever but couldn’t have been more then a minute. The tiny person then started to thrash around yelling and clearly panicking.
Techno starred at the giant familiar face in front of him. There was no way this was happening... he was having a nightmare. There was no way Phil was the human that he had been borrowing from. He would have noticed! He had to get out of here. Even if Phil figured out it was him it would not be good. He had lied and humans didn’t like being tricked. He couldn’t bare the thought of Phil hurting him. Which was exactly what was going to happen if he didn’t get out of here. He thrashed around trying to get his leg out and getting it more tangled anyway in his panic.
“Whoa! Hold on stop.” Phil reached to try and grab them before that got hurt. He pulled his hand away as he felt something sharp stab him. “What the hell?!” He held his hand seeing the person had a needle.
Techno without thinking stabbed the hand that was coming at him. He waved the needle at Phil trying to keep him away.
Phil frowned at the tiny person. That had really hurt. He didn’t want to get stabbed again trying to help so he reached out and quietly took the needle from the hands of the person. “Give me that.” He looked at the needle setting it down on the counter. “Now, let’s try this again.” He was upset but he just wanted to help the poor think who was obviously scared of him.
Techno froze as his only weapon was easily taken. He looked at Phil fear in his eyes as he shook. He couldn’t do anything now. Plus he had angered him. No way he wasn’t going to get hurt now. He closed his eyes tight as the giant hands came close to him again.
Phil was carefully as he cupped and hand around the tiny and lifted up and little so he wasn’t up sided down anymore. He gently wrapped his fingers around them so they couldn’t move and thrash around any more. He used his other hand to snap the thin string so he could bring the small person closer to untangle the string wrapped around his foot.
Techno shook as he was now being held in Phil’s hand. The fingers wrapped around him ready to squeeze him at any second. He didn’t dare move. He felt giant fingers prod at his leg. He kept his eyes closed not wanting to see Phil hurt him. Or worse....
Phil frowned at the string. It was to thin and he couldn’t get it untangled. “I’m going to have to use scissors.” He hummed.
Techno’s eyes flew open at the mention of scissors. “No!” He yelled not thinking about getting recognized anymore. He struggled against the fingers around him kicking his legs. What was Phil going to do with scissors?! Horrible images flooded his head making him panic.
Phil yelled as the once still person struggled against him. To keep him from hurting himself he slightly tightened his grip. “Ok whoa, stop! I’m not going to hurt you mate!” The fighting didn’t stop and in attempt to calm them he held the struggling being to his chest in a sort of hug. “Calm down...”
Techno unconsciously clung to the fabric he was pressed against. He didn’t want to get hurt. And not by the one human he kinda liked. “P-please...Phil don’t hurt me.” He said softly not even sure if he’d be heard.
Phil froze as his name was said. And by a very familiar voice. “What...? Techno?” He asked. There was no way this tiny person was his friend from online.
Techno nodded as his name was said. “Yeah....it’s me.” His voice was so shaky. Now he was going to see what was going to happen to him. Would Phil hurt him anyway? Or would he be let go?
“Oh....” Phil thought about this. He had never seen Techno and this sounded just like him. Then he realized Techno was probably scared of him. He pulled techno away from his chest and shifted his hands to gently be cupped around Techno instead on wrapped around him. “Are...are you ok?” He asked. He didn’t want to have hurt him.
Techno nodded. He took a deep breath breath looking up at Phil. “I think so...” he was glad he wasn’t in a tight fist anymore.
“I- well you’re a lot shorter then I thought you’d be.” He smiled trying to relive some of the tension in the air.
Techno sighed with a smile. He relaxed a little. “I’m actually tall for bor- my kind.” He hoped Phil didn’t catch his mistake.
“Sure mate.” Phil said with a laugh. “We should talk, but how about I get your leg untangled first. Ok?”
“Ok.” He nodded hesitantly. The string was tight around his ankle and hurt a lot. “How are you getting it off?” He asked hesitantly.
Phil opened a drawer and got out a par of scissors. “With these.” He said showing Techno. “I’ll be careful I promise.” He said quickly seeing the panic in his eyes.
“J-just be quick.” He said facing away from Phil. He was tense as he felt cold metal slid against his leg under the string. He jumped at the soft snap of the scissors cutting the string. He looked at his leg seeing he was free. He breathed heavily curling up his legs. “Thanks...”
Phil was being as careful as he could. No way was he going to hurt Techno. He sniped at the string cutting through it. He put the scissors away so Techno couldn’t see them. He could only imagine what it was like having giant scissors in you face. “Yeah of course. Is your leg ok?” He asked seeing him curl up in his hand.
“Yeah I’m ok.” He looked up at Phil. “What are you going to do with me now?” He had to know. Phil could decide techno was a better pet then a friend.
“Nothing. Techno I’m not going to hurt you.” Phil frowned softly. He hesitantly used a finger to rub Techno’s back. “I promise.”
Techno sighed hearing this. “Ok..” He slowly leaned into Phils gently touch. He was exhausted now from all the stress.
Phil smiled softly as techno leaned back against his fingers. He walked back to his desk sitting down in his chair. He brought Techno close to his chest softly hugging him. He listened for any complaints. There was none. He glanced down seeing Techno relaxed curled up on his chest. He had so many questions, but they could talk later. Techno needed to rest, and Phil needed to process just what had happened. “Rest, I’ve got you.” He said under his breath so techno wouldn’t hear him.

do not mind me I am just here thinking about Jake being the little spoon with Amy while also being the big spoon with Mac and creating the perfect Peraltiago cuddle sandwich
(I do mind you very much anon because I had never thought about that before and oh my god do I need it now)
The sound of Mac's favourite new tv show echoes quietly from the bedroom when Amy steps out of the bathroom in a towel, and as stressed out as she still is after that hot shower she just enjoyed, the sight of Mac and Jake cuddling on her side of the bed is enough to make her shoulders relax, no matter what they've just put behind them. They're here now, safe and sound, Mac's eyes closed shut and his pacifier bobbing away, Jake's hand absent-mindedly stroking over his head, the other one wrapped around his middle to hold him close while he stares at the television screen across the room with hazy eyes.
-*-
They've all had a pretty hard and frankly scary week. Amy'd already warned Jake that she would probably not be home much to help out at all, gearing up for a major meeting and discussion panel with several higher-ups she was trying very hard not to panic about, and she was more than relieved that Jake had taken it all in stride even when daycare called in as well, to tell them that Mac's usual two days a week would have to be cancelled due to another outbreak.
And then Mac had gotten sick anyway, so sick that Jake lost his nights to sitting up with him as well, as Amy tiptoed in and helped as much as she could - she'd gotten maybe 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night, barely able to make herself presentable for work in the mornings, but she could tell from Jake's haggard looks every morning as she kissed him goodbye for the day that he'd gotten even less.
It was enough to make that week one of the few she underscored with a harsh black line in her monthly planner, but she added a red line underneath on thursday, when Jake called her at work - something he rarely ever did, sticking to texts she could choose to ignore until later if she was too busy - to tell her he wasn't taking any more chances and bringing Mac to the ER after the morning had brought another intense round of throwing up, 5 blown out diapers in under 10 minutes and a fever that made the super-smart kid thermometer she got them blast out a rather terrifying warning beep.
Seeing her baby with an IV in his arm as she raced into the ER after giving Holt the quickest explanation she could, quietly sniffling and sucking on a freeze pop Jake was holding for him while also hugging him in his lap, told her he made the right call before the pediatrician coming over to speak to her ever could.
-*-
"He needs more fluids than he could drink right now." Jake explained what the doctor had already said when she came over to kiss both him and Mac on their foreheads, a tired sigh from the both of them in response. "But his fever is already down from the medicine they gave him."
They were allowed to take him home for the night, luckily, after his fever had gone down some more and the nurses had made sure he'd kept at least one meal in, with another big bag of medicine and 'What To Do If...' instructional booklets Jake was reading out loud for her as she drove them home. Jake was holding onto Mac's foot in his car seat like a lifeline, even as his little buddy dozed on and off from the stress of the ER and so many foreign people around him, lifted him into his arms more carefully than ever to carry him up the stairs to their apartment, and Amy knew he was not going to just put him down into his crib-converted toddler bed, nor would Mac let him, the way he clung onto his shoulders with a sad little whine in his throat from the exhaustion of the past days.
So she'd switched on the bedroom tv for some comfort - screen time rules be damned in this case - while Jake got Mac into some fresh pjs, took him just long enough so that Jake could get into sweats as well, and promised to take over for him after her shower so he could jump in, too.
-*-
But she doesn't believe he's going to take her up on that offer as she sees them side by side on the bed now, Mac's back pressed firmly against Jake's chest as he curls around the little guy.
Everyone likes to be the little spoon. It makes you feel safe.
Mac is fast asleep now, as safe as he could ever be. On a normal day, she'd probably think about lifting him out of Jake's arms to put him to bed in his own room, but she'd rather sleep there herself than to break up their little bubble of quiet.
"You know you can turn it off once he's asleep." She whispers instead after getting her own PJs on, climbing onto the free side of the bed carefully.
"Beep and Boop are gonna explain why we need to recycle next." Jake mumbles as an answer when she leans over his side, strokes through his messy hair as she reaches for the remote on the bedside table.
"Your wife should not need to explain why you need to take the chance to sleep when you can after this week." She presses a kiss to his temple as the screen switches off.
"I feel like I've forgotten how to do that." Jake sighs, and she can see the exhaustion on his face, the lines around his mouth and bags under his eyes that actually make him look his age for once. "What if Mac wakes up again? I don't think he ate enough, and-"
"If he wakes up, you'll wake up. You always do." She says in the most soothing voice she can muster, her hand not stilling in his hair as she watches his eyelids flicker. "And even if you don't, I'm still here to wake up too."
Everyone likes to be the little spoon. It makes you feel safe.
She slides up to him without moving her hand from his nape, nestles against his back as he sighs once more, deeper and calmer than before. One of his hands lets go of Mac and settles on her thigh instead, wrapped around his hip to really stay close.
"I'm gonna call in sick tomorrow. Holt will understand." She mumbles against his shoulder where her head rests, her fingertips scratching along the very edge of his hairline as her other arm comes around his waist, finds his hand on Mac's tummy to interlock their fingers against his soft, even breaths.
"Love you." Jake mumbles in reply, and his voice is halfway into dreamland, she can tell from its cadence alone, but she still answers.
"Love you too."
She spends a moment longer awake, feeling the steady breathing of the two most important people in her world under her hands, before her eyes fall closed as well.
-*-
None of them have moved even an inch when she blinks awake first in the morning, and Jake growls in his sleep when she twists around to reach for her cellphone on the bedside table, so she's quick to settle back against him once she's sent off a sick-call text to Holt and receives, weirdly enough, a thumbs up emoji as a reply and nothing else.
There's a much more expected follow up of "Dear Amy, I hope you and your family will feel better soon. Give Jake my best. Sincerely, Deputy Comissioner Raymond Holt" when she wakes up again a few hours later, and Jake makes no noise in his sleep this time, when she sneaks around to the side of the bed were Mac is smiling at her wide awake. She lifts him out of Jake's hug as only she ever could without waking him, and they share a lazy, tummy-friendly breakfast before Jake pats into the kitchen with his eyes half-closed and hugs them both from behind before getting himself a massive cup of coffee.
"Did you sleep okay?" She asks with a smile as the cup lifts into the air as he downs it.
"You never sleep badly as the little spoon, Ames." He grins softly before kissing her, Mac's hand slapping onto his cheek from her lap to keep them from completely getting lost in their kiss.
"But I did dream about Beep and Boop making me sit through an exam about recycling and I completely failed."

Tilt
Bloom smiled as a butler offered her a crystal glass filled with, what she assumed was, very expensive champagne. She nodded gratefully as she took a sip, and then promptly had to physically stop herself from spitting it right back out. Either the champagne wasn’t as good as she expected or officials of Isis simply decided to serve something from the supermarket, while hoping that no one would notice. Then again, Bloom mused, it might just be that my taste buds are so used to the $10 wine so everything fancier just tastes like crap.
She shook her head and crossed her arms underneath the bustier of her skintone, off the shoulder gown with baby blue flowers scattered across the top and sporadically across the skirt as well. The nude color made her appear more tan than she actually was and while the dress was indeed very beautiful, it was just as uncomfortable. Bloom winced as shifting weight from one stiletto clad foot to another sent white hot signal of pain when one of the wires supporting her bustier stabbed her in the ribs. She bit the inside of her cheek to in order to stop herself from simply burning the fabric.
A cheerful laugh of her best friend snapped her out of her trance. Stella emerged from the mass of bodies on the dancefloor, her asymmetrical off shoulder gown highlighting every curve on her body perfectly. Long purple sleeve blended with yellow in a way Bloom didn’t even deem possible considering how different two colors are. Her other arm, that was completely sleeveless, sported some golden jewelry and floor length gown swept the floor elegantly with Stella’s every step. She was holding the same glass, filled with same champagne as Bloom, with her well manicured fingers. As soon as Stella was within arm’s reach, she grabbed Bloom’s elbow and leaned close to her, smile completely disappeared from her face.
“This stuff is absolutely disgusting.” Stella spoke through gritted teeth.
“Oh really?” Bloom asked as smirk slowly rose on her lips. “And here I thought you preferred this,” she lifted a fancy glass into the air, “over my cheap wine.”
“Anything is better than this, for the lack of a better word, crap.” Stella scoffed. “This would’ve never happened on Solaria.” She tilted the glass once again to take a sip in hope it somehow started tasting better but ended up disappointed. Bloom almost laughed at Stella’s expression. “But then again, should I have expected anything more from a planet Diaspro came from?”
Bloom almost winced at the mention of a woman that had the ability to mess up her relationship with Sky like no other. The latest stunt she pulled, thanks to Valtor, only made Bloom more angry at everybody that turned a blind eye to her actions simply because she is a princess. It was only then that the thought occurred to her, that Diaspro might be here and that she might ruin their mission. She glanced nervously around the hall, panicking more the longer she couldn’t find her.
Stella, recognizing Bloom’s ‘two breaths away from having a panic attack' look on her face, was quick to put a calming hand on her shoulder. Bloom recoiled slightly but Stella gripped the flesh lightly in order to ground her. She leaned closer to whisper in Bloom’s ear. “Relax, she’s not here. Apparently her parents don’t allow her to go to events where his highness, prince Sky of Eraklyon, might be present.”
Sarcasm was obvious in Stella’s voice but it served the purpose of calming Bloom to the point where she actually start thinking lucidly again.
Bloom took a deep breath as her shoulders slouched slightly forward. “Thank you.” She whispered to Stella. Then, the actual sentences Stella was saying caught up to her and her eyebrows touched her hairline in obvious amusement. “Still angry at Sky I see?”
Stella snorted and wrinkled her nose at the mention of Sky’s name. “If you were smarter, you’d be angry too.”
“Hey!” Bloom yelped angrily but settled down quickly as she looked away. “I am angry at him.”
“Apparently not enough.” Stella gripped the glass so hard her knuckles turned white. “I mean, what’s up with him suddenly becoming a poster boy and actually listening to what his daddy says?”
“Well, technically, Sky’s meeting with Diaspro or her parents might cause interplanetary scandal between Eraklyon and Isis.” Bloom spoke in Techna's voice.
Stella’s lip twitched. “Still, interplanetary scandal or a potential threat of one never actually stopped him from going against orders before. So my question still remains.”
“Any sign of Valtor?” Bloom asked, hoping to divert the route of conversation.
“I just spoke to Techna. He hasn’t been detected and Amplificarum is still safely locked in the vault.”
“He’ll show up eventually.” Bloom nodded absentmindedly. “He always does.”
“See this, this right here,” Stella pointed to the marble floor and Bloom lowered her gaze to the direction her finger was indicating but furrowed her brows when she found nothing. “This is why Sky should be here.” Bloom’s lips shaped into a thin line whe she realized what she was talking about as Stella continued to rant. “Isn’t he concerned that Valtor might attack and something might happen to you?”
Bloom gasped. “I’m not some… damsel in distress that needs saving Stella!” She scoffed. “I’m perfectly capable of taking care of myself.
“C’mon Bloom, don’t give me that.”
“Well what do you want me to say Stell? That I’m angry? Disappointed? Fine. I’m disappointed that Sky chose to follow the order from his father when I wanted him to come with me. He most certainly could've found another solution but he did nothing. Instead he left me to face, potentially Diaspro and Valtor alone. There! Was that enough? Are you happy now?” Bloom’s cheeks were red by the time she finished her rant as her chest continued rising up and down in order to return much needed oxygen into her lungs, her exhaustion more due to stress than the actual rant.
Stella smiled and patted Bloom on the shoulder. “There you go. Now was that so hard to say?”
“What?”
“Nevermind that, anyway, be sure to tell him that next time, ok?”
Bloom rolled her eyes but a smile threatened to spread on her face. “You’re unbelievable.”
“Mhm, that’s why you love me so much.” Stella spoke with an obvious pride evident in her voice.
“Yeah, let’s just say you’re lucky I do.” Bloom shook her head and grabbed Stella’s elbow as she spotted a familiar short brown hair emerging from the crowd. “There’s Brandon.” She turned to Stella and pointed to where she saw him. “Go bother him for a while.”
Stella pouted and stuck her tongue out playfully at Bloom but strutted off towards her boyfriend, leaving Bloom alone.
With Stella gone, all of Bloom’s physical discomfort came rushing back and hitting her like a rogue train. Her feet ached, her head started hurting from the tight updo and she was pretty sure the wire that poked her in the ribs has punctured her skin. She felt the tender area with her opposite hand as much as she dared and exhaled short puff of air when she found nothing. She wanted to sit down or maybe even lay down and then not move for a few days.
She shook her head and took a sip of her disgusting drink in order to wake herself up. She looked around the dancefloor, automatically finding Stella and Brandon as they swayed to the rhythm. Techna and Timmy were huddled in the corner probably discussing something about technology. Musa and Riven were also in the corner, be it on the opposite side from Techna, which greatly surprised Bloom because Musa was more often than not first on the dancefloor alongside Layla (though club suited them more, but the two always found a way to fit in anywhere), but right now dancefloor seemed like the last place Musa wanted to be. Instead, fairy of music was busy glaring daggers at her boyfriend that seemed to pay little to no attention to them.
Bloom rolled her eyes at the two of them (not that her and Sky were any better) and focused on finding Layla that also, surprisingly, decided to go solo on this mission. She found her talking to some Isis official that she probably knew due to her status. With Layla’s position in mind, bloom turned to finding the last couple but Flora and Helia were nowhere to be found so Bloom assumed they were probably taking a stroll in the garden.
With those in mind, Bloom once again diverted her eyes from the dancefloor and looked at the champagne bubbling in her glass as her thoughts ran over the information she remembered about Amplificarum.
Apparently, the green stone, by physical appearance almost indistinguishable from emerald, had the power to magnify any spells or beams aimed at something. Or someone, Bloom thought. It was most commonly used for protection spells and it generally wasn’t meant for offensive spellwork. Bloom somehow had doubts Valtor will use it for protection spells. The sheer thought of chaos that could potentially happen if such artifact ever fell into Valtor’s, or anyone’s wrong hands, made Bloom shudder all over and grip her champagne glass bit tighter. That can never be allowed to happen. It’s why you’re here. There’s no way he will be able to slip in and out undetected with eleven pairs of eyes looking for him.
Bloom couldn’t deny that Valtor is the most powerful, and quite frankly the most cunning, villain they ever had the pleasure of meeting. What irked her to the point of madness, however, was the fact that Valtor always seemed to be one step ahead of them.
The battles are like chess game. Daphne’s voice sounded in her head. In order to defeat your opponent you have to figure out their strategy. You have to master the art of reading their moves and find a way to turn the odds in your favor.
It was not hard to guess who played certain roles in this game though. She was an amateur, an amateur that was loosing valuable chess pieces battle after battle whereas Valtor was a professional that suffered minor losses here and there but still had the most prized figurines in the game. It didn’t take a professional chess player to see that the odds were most definitely not in Bloom’s favor.
He’ll slip sooner or later. Bloom thought with a smile. Even Valtor can make a mistake. And it takes only a second, a slip of concentration, a lapse in judgment and the board will tilt in our direction. Even an amateur can get lucky and stometimes, the pawn can be the most powerful piece capable of settling the final score, so don’t sell yourself short.
Bloom was so distracted by her mental pep talk that she failed to notice one of the guests approach.
“This stuff they’re serving us,” Bloom jumped as a deep melodic voice rang out next to her. “it’s not something I expected from Isis royal court.”
The stranger came to stand almost arm to arm with her, but she also noticed she was almost two heads shorter than him.
“In a good, or a bad way?” Bloom asked with a frown. The stranger has short brown hair styled to a perfection, not even a hair out of place. From what she could see from the side without being too obvious, she noticed he had perfectly straight nose and an overall boyish appearance.
The stranger lifted one of his eyebrows curiously. “Have you tried that?” He pointed to her glass.
“Yes.”
“And how does it taste?”
“Like a hair conditioner.”
He nodded approvingly. “Interesting comparison. Not inaccurate though. Well Miss, I think you just answered your own question.”
Despite all odds, Bloom found herself smiling at stranger’s antics and clever quips. “I am sorry but I don’t think I got your name.”
“That’s because I didn’t give it to you.”
Okay, rude.
“Well,” she forced out, “would you be so kind to give me your name then?” Bloom really hoped her smile was more convincing than her words.
“There’s no need, Bloom. You already know my name.” Bloom’s smile vanished as the man finally turned to face her, the unique icy colored eyes she only saw on one particular individual looking straight into her wider-than-dinnerplates blue ones. She felt a bead of sweat roll down the thin column of her neck and disappear into her cleavage.
Bloom gulped.
Valtor smirked.
“You!” was the only thing that came out of her mouth.
He shook his head, his eyebrows set in a frown as he let out a disappointed huff. “That is not my name princess. You might wish to try again.”
“What are you doing here, Valtor?” Bloom managed through gritted teeth.
“Oh so you do remember.” Valtor smirked like the cat who got all the cream. “Good. Otherwise I would have to remind you and I really don’t want to spoil anyone’s evening.”
“As if you need me, or anyone, for that!” Bloom whisper-yelled as her eyes darted desperately across the room, trying to locate her team.
“Now now,” Valtor cooed, “it is not polite to look away from the person you’re having a conversation with, Bloom. Someone should’ve taught you proper manners.”
Bloom gasped as she felt the dragon fire raging in her chest, the effect much more intense than she’s ever experienced before. She swayed slightly on her feet and she raised her unoccupied arm to clutch lightly at her chest. The world was spinning in front of her eyes and just as she feared she might topple over, one of Valtor’s large hands grasped her bicep and the forest fire that burned in her turned into smoldering ashes.
Bloom leaned slightly on her side, Valtor’s arm acting like an anchor as she fought to regain her breath.
“What,” she rasped out, her voice hoarse like she just inhaled smoke, “was that?”
“Just a reminder that you should not antagonize me.” Valtor’s voice was cold and sharp and it made her swallow down a snarky response.
“Is that how you snuck past Techna and me?” The pain was gone but her legs still felt wobbly and she was forced to hold onto Valtor in order to remain standing. “A cloaking spell?”
“If the shoe fits…” he trailed off as Bloom stood up to her full height but despite the heels she wore, Valtor noted with a slight amusement, only managed to reach his shoulders. The glare princess of Domino sent him would make a lesser man run to his mom but it only made Valtor grin. Bloom ripped her arm from his grasp and he had to bite his lip to stifle a chuckle that threatened to escape as Bloom stumbled slightly when he willingly let her go.
Bloom mumbled something that even his heighten senses couldn’t pick up. “I apologize darling, I didn’t quite catch that. Would you mind repeating it?”
“I said that if you turn around and bend over, I’ll show you where my shoe fits.”
Valtor was in stupor for a minute, but then a surprised chuckle broke through his lips and his shoulders started shaking from the laughter he tried, and was slowly failing at, keeping contained. “Oh, and she bites.”
Valtor continued laughing sporadically, stopping for a few moments only to start up again. The lines around his eyes crinkled and Bloom found herself fascinated by how melodic and pleasant his laugh sounded. The thought only lasted for a few seconds before Bloom stomped on it with a part of her brain that was still capable of making rational thoughts. Get it together, Bloom.
“If you’re quite done,” Bloom spoke, her cheeks red from rather unorthodox behavior she exhibited few minutes ago, “how about you tell me what are you doing here, finally?”
“I think you know why I’m here.”
“Forget it, you’re not getting it!” She turned to face him fully, her eyes boring a hole into the side of his head.
Valtor lifted his eyebrows as if to say ‘Really?’, mockery clear in his eyes. “Are you going to stop me?”
Bloom nodded. “I am.”
Valtor shook his head, smile on his face, amused by her confident tone. She thinks she’s a match for me. Silly girl. He was just about to tell her as much when the music that played as more of a background noise, suddenly became louder, loud to the point it drowned out all the chatter in the room.
Bloom almost jumped out of her skin when the orchestra started playing, loudly. She flinched, however, when she once again felt Valtor’s huge hand on her body. This time his palm was not in a direct contact with her skin but the unusual placement of the said appendage caused her to panic. His hand landed on the small of her back and it was quite persistently pushing her forward, straight onto the dancefloor between other couples.
“What do you think you’re doing?” She hissed through clenched teeth, sparks flaring at her fingertips, beginnings of an offensive spell already forming on her vocal cords.
“We are dancing.” His calm voice only made her more angry and she started struggling against the force pushing her forward.
“I don’t want to dance. Let me go.”
He stopped just short of the line separating area designed for dancing and bowed down theatrically while offering his hand to her. “May I have this dance, Miss?”
Few people closest to them turned around at the sound of his voice and Bloom had to bite her tongue to resist the urge to claw his eyes out. “No, you can’t!” She huffed out quietly instead, her neck and cheeks turning red from anger. “I told you, I don’t want to dance and I most certainly do not want to dance with the likes of you!"
“You wound me princess, truly. I don’t bite… not unless you want me to, of course.”
Bloom’s nostrils flared and flames began to dance in her eyes. What insolence.
“Let’s make a deal, princess of Domino.” He interrupted her just as smoke was about to start coming out of her ears. “You let me have this dance, and I’ll tell you everything you wish to know and I promise to tell the truth.”
“Why should I trust you?” She raised her eyebrows but it was obvious she was interested.
“You shouldn’t.” He tilted his head to the side as smile stretched across his lips. “But that never stopped you before.”
Sea blue met the arctic ice. A spark erupted and the coldness of his gaze melted away. “I give you my word.” His hand was still hovering in the air, his palm opened in invitation as he tilted his head in the direction of the dancefloor.
Bloom weighed her options. For as far as she knew, this could be another one of Valtor’s tricks to gain the information from her instead of vice versa. But the burning questions only he had the answers to kept pressing on the part of her brain that was telling her how much of a madness this was. Bloom sighed. Her hand rose hesitantly and slowly took hold of Valtor’s.
“One dance. That’s all you get.”
“That’s all I’ll need.”
He gripped Bloom’s fingers bit tighter as he lead her into the classic pose with his unoccupied hand placed on her lower back, lower than socially accepted when dancing with someone you do not know, but still in the safe zone that didn’t ask for Bloom to knee him in the balls. His other hand loosened around her fingers and now gently supported her palm. Instead of placing her other arm on Valtor’s shoulder, Bloom gripped one side of her skirt so she could move freely and to minimize contact. He looked down , searching her face, but Bloom turned her head in the opposite direction.
Valtor was never the one to blatantly display his emotions but Bloom’s refusal to look him in the eyes was one thing that almost made him boil. He didn’t know why the daughter of those that defeated him had such effect on him and he didn’t like it. He hated not knowing what was running through her head, especially in the place where he was in an obvious disadvantage concerning numbers of the two opposing teams. During his careful observation, he counted eleven of them, and there was only one of him. Not like any of them actually pose any threat, he mused. The only one that is able to even remotely challenge me is the one I’m dancing with and from this proximity she can be easily taken care of. He studied her posture, how her eyes avoided his at all cost, how her back stood stiff like someone stuck a pole to her spine, how tightly she gripped her skirt as he moved with her elegantly. It was obvious she was not enjoying this. Well then, let’s make you even more uncomfortable.
Without warning, Valtor pulled Bloom closer to his body, upper body completely pressed against hers, one of his legs between both of hers as her head snapped up to look at his cheeky smile. Fire was blazing in her eyes but Valtor didn’t care. He thrived on her reactions. Bloom squeezed the hand that was holding hers in warning but Valtor only gripped the flesh of her hip in response. Devils were dancing in his eyes but to Bloom they looked alive for the first time. Gone was the icy look capable of making even the best trained soldier hesitate before rushing into the battle against him.
He’s genuinely amused by this. She thought. If only be wasn’t having fun at my expense, I might’ve let it slide. Valtor twirled her around other dancing couples, his graceful steps never flattering, and it occurred to Bloom for the first time that she actually didn’t step on his toes even once.
“How are you doing this?” She asked him as he swung her away from himself, only to bring her in again, her back to his front, both of his hands gripping her hips. In her peripheral vision, she saw him rise his eyebrow. “I’ve never been good at dancing.”
Valtor smirked. “Perhaps you’ve never had a good enough partner.”
Judging by the tone of his voice, he was mocking Sky openly so Bloom miscalculated and stepped with the heel of her foot onto his polished shoe. She heard him grunt as, what she assumed was a curse, left his mouth. She smiled. If you play with fire, you’re gonna get burned.
“What happened to my parents?” Her next question made him quirk an eyebrow and she saw his eyes widen for a second before he regained his bearings.
“What did Faragonda tell you?” He answered her questions with one of his own and that made her irrationally angry for some reason.
“I asked you first.” She bit her tongue before insults started spewing out of her mouth. She realized long ago that snarky comments only made him more angry so she wasn’t willing to risk her one chance. “Answer me.”
“Do you think you are in position to demand anything, heiress of the lost kingdom?” Anger was starting to creep up in his voice as he dipped her low and snapped her back up harsher than necessary.
Bloom gasped as she suddenly found herself in an almost horizontal position. “You promised.”
Valtor assumed their previous position, except this time he lowered his head so his breath would graze her neck when he spoke. He sighed and goosebumps rose on Bloom’s skin as his hot breath washed over her collarbones and sternum.
“The truth is, I do not know what happened to your parents. I was imprisoned before the final battle. As far as I’m aware, ancient witches were the last to see them.”
Bloom swallowed. “That’s not Faragonda’s version.”
Valtor laughed, though his laugh was somehow bitter. “And you, as a good fairy, believe everything that your headmistress says don’t you?”
“And who am I supposed to trust? You?”
“Have you ever wondered why,” he repositioned her hand slightly as he side stepped to avoid the couple that was directly on a collision course with them. The sudden movement made the lock of Bloom’s hair wiggle out of her bun. “your headmistress send bunch of barely legal girls to suicide missions against the powerful enemies such as myself?”
“Because she trusts us?”
“Because she has an underlying motive.” He continued when Bloom scoffed. “Think about it. Can you honestly tell me your headmistress provides you with all the available information before she sends you off into battles?”
His question made her think of all the times Faragonda withheld the valuable information because she deemed it necessary and she bit her lip as realization hit her. “That doesn’t make her evil.”
“I never said it made her evil.” Smirk once again climbed on her face. “She’s cunning alright, but not cunning enough to be considered evil.”
“What’s her underlying motive according to your expertise?”
He shrugged carelessly. “Everybody needs someone to do their dirty work.”
“Like you have Trix?” Bloom raised her eyebrows in question.
“Don’t remind me.” He groaned. “Those three are as incompetent as they get.”
They danced in surprisingly comfortable silence for a few seconds, Valtor’s capable hands leading them. “You never answered my question.” Bloom said.
“What question?”
“How are you doing this?” She tilted her head slightly to their intertwined hands.
The edge of Valtor’s lips turned upwards. “You know how I’m doing it.”
Bloom frowned in confusion. “No, I actually really don’t.”
“Yes you do.” She was about to open her mouth to protest and to ask him what the hell he’s playing at, but he was faster than her. “You just have to let yourself feel it.”
Bloom’s shoulders tensed as the feeling of her native fire burning spread across her whole body. Okay, this is new.
“Pretty impressive, don’t you think?”
Bloom locked eyes with Valtor as he bent slightly in the knees, his hands gripped her hips tightly and her hands automatically came to rest on his broad shoulders, as he lifted her up and then, with care she didn’t know he was capable of, lowered her back to the ground. There was something hypnotic about his eyes and Bloom found herself unable to look away as she fought to regain her breath once her feet touched the ground again.
Whatever moment they shared was interrupted by a horrendous sound of alarm blaring and all the lights going off at the same time as explosion sounded somewhere above them. Valtor smirked as Bloom recoiled from him as if he burned her. Her hands lit on fire as people started screaming around her and moving away from them.
Valtor could hear Bloom’s friends calling her name as they pushed through the crowd of panicked guests.
“This was your plan all along, wasn’t it!?” Anger was obvious in her eyes and Valtor found himself fascinated as the fiery glow from her hands reflected in her irises. What he would do to have her on his side.
He shook himself out of his stupor as he snapped his fingers, letting his disguise slip off. Short brown hair and boyish look was replaced by long strawberry blond hair and his face morphed back into high cheekbones and sharp jaw. “I would love to continue our conversation,” he raised his arm and shot blindly towards the ceiling, blowing a huge hole into it. “however, I believe that my time has run out.”
Distant flashes lit up and Winx finally emerged from the crowd, sparkly outfits and huge wings on point. Bloom was the only one that remained in her normal attire, her hands showing no sign of burning out anytime soon, as she kept shooting daggers at Valtor with her eyes.
“It’s a shame I wasn’t able to answer more of your questions, Bloom. But I don’t think this is our last meeting.” Valtor grinned, thirty two pearly white teeth on display. “Besides,” he drawled as Icy flew from the direction of the vault Amplificarum was locked in, green gem standing out against the pale skin of her hand. “you know where to find me.”
“Solar energy!” Stella’s arm shot up, spell hurtling straight towards Valtor, but he didn’t even bat an eyelash as his hand rose to absorb the spell.
“Stop in the name of the law!” Armed soldiers and specialists started breaking through, their weapons and swords drawn and ready for a fight.
Valtor’s laugh echoed in the room as he shot off towards the hole in the ceiling, his mouth reciting the spell Bloom was quite familiar with. “Have the taste of your own medicine, princess of Solaria.”
Bloom barely had time to put up a shield as Stella’s own amplified spell was hurled back to them, painting the whole room in white hot glow, forcing everyone to close their eyes so they don’t go blind.
When Bloom finally gathered enough strength to open her eyes, Valtor was nowhere to be seen and people, specialists, guards and her team were slowly climbing back on their feet. Remnants of Stella’s spell still lingered in the air, making the room uncomfortably bright and forcing Bloom to squint.
“He did it again.” Stella spoke next to her and Bloom nodded absentmindedly as Stella continued looking around. “He used a heightened version of my spell… it’s a miracle no one’s been hurt.”
Bloom shook her head. “I don’t think he meant to hurt anyone Stell. He obviously needed a distraction to get away.”
“He doesn’t want unnecessary pain and destruction… you told me that’s what he said to you on Andros.”
Bloom nodded. “I think he managed to fulfill his promise, for once.”
Bloom looked up where Valtor made his exit and couldn’t help but to think that the chessboard once again tilted in his favor.

Okay, so I wrote a HC fanfic, because why tf not. The idea wouldn't leave my head, so now you get to deal with it.
Based on @mayflowers07’s "I can be the one you call" series. In that series, there is an established code word on the Hermitcraft server for when a prank goes too far or when a hermit is in danger: "blue creeper." When a player says this phrase, everything stops to help the hermit in need. Please go read their series--it's amazing! The premise of this fic comes from that series as well, so I take no credit for the idea, just the execution!
This is my first HC fic ever, so there's probably a lot of errors when it comes to canon. Impulse and Tango are probably OOC. Timeline is all over the place because 1. I've been watching a lot of hermits, and 2. I'm watching everything out of order. Let me know your thoughts if you like! I mostly wrote this for me, but I wanted to share it anyway.
Anyway, here goes.
The Sleep Prank
WC: 3540
Bdubs was tired. It wasn't uncommon; he was, after all, the sleep master. He had a natural ability to fall asleep as soon as the sun began to set.
Today, however, was different. Where there was usually the pleasant sleepy feeling that accompanied the end of each day, today there was frustrated exhaustion. All because of Tango and Impulse's stupid prank.
It had been going on for three days now. The prank was funny at first— a TNT explosion rigged to blow when Bdubs went to hit his bed. The first time it had happened, he had just finished clearing out most of a nearby sand biome, grabbing a large quantity for the concrete shop. At 10 pm precisely, he took out his trusty bed he travelled with, he set it on the ground and prepared for his nightly shreep sleep. When it happened, he had shrieked loudly and fallen off the bed, causing his fellow Boomers, who were hiding behind a nearby dune, to cry with laughter.
"Very FUNNY!!!!!" he had yelled in his trademark over-exaggerated voice. "Mess with ol' Bdubs while he's tryin' to sleep. You think that's FUNNY, don't you?!"
"Yes, actually," cackled Tango. "It's hilarious. Oh, your FACE…"
The laughter went on for several minutes, Bdubs pretending to be angry while the other two collapsed on each other in laughter. But Bdubs had taken the prank good-naturedly, and soon enough the other two left and he was alone again. Slightly shaken up, he picked up his things and headed to his base, ready to actually get some sleep.
The second time was still funny. Impulse and Tango had trapped his home beds to do the same thing, which didn't hurt Bdubs or any of his things, but did make him jump out of his skin. The two had clearly been expecting this, because soon after, his communicator buzzed:
ImpulseSV: TANGO IT WORKED
TangoTek: HAHAHHAHA YESSSS
TangoTek: Get some nice sleep Bdubs? >:)
Glaring at the offensive messages, he typed back:
BdoubleO100: NO >:(
BdoubleO100: YOU FOOLS SCARED ME SO BAD
BdoubleO100: You guys are the WORST
BdoubleO100: Trapping my BEAUTIFUL HOME
Bdoubleo100: I'll get you for that
Bdubs laughed as he typed out his mock rage. But it was all in good fun, both Bdubs and the Boomers knew.
Now slightly wary of the many beds he had around his base, Bdubs got up from the current bed, no real goal in mind besides getting away from the beds for a little while. It was 10:32 now. Usually, he would already be asleep, ready to skip the night and start on more building projects in the morning. Nursing a slight headache, he picked up a book from one of his many decorative bookcases and sat down away from any beds to read.
20 minutes later, eyes heavy from reading and body tired from the day, he cautiously hit a bed for the third time. Nothing happened. He sighed in relief, already starting to fade into sleep.
And then it happened again. An explosion of TNT, to his right.
"AAAAAGH!!" he screamed, again startled by the prank. This time, he heard a dispenser fire, and suddenly he had a piece of paper in his hand:
GOTCHA!!!!!! — your fellow boomers :)
With a stab of annoyance, he crumpled up the paper and huffed downstairs. Grabbing some rockets and a few blocks of wool, Bdubs took off into the night, heading...somewhere. He didn't know where he was going, besides away, away from his base and the stupid bed prank.
He touched down a few hundred blocks away from his base, finding a decently-sized patch of grass sheltered from the outside by the overhang of a small cliff. He spread out the wool and placed a few torches for safety. Without a true bed, the game's code wouldn't let him instantly sleep and skip the night like usual, but he could still sleep the old-fashioned way. Though not as substantial in length or quality, he would still get some rest, ready in the morning to dismantle all the stupid bed traps around his base and then get some real work done.
Sighing quietly, he laid down, closing his eyes and falling into an uneasy rest. It only lasted half an hour or so, just long enough for Tango and Impulse to find him and set off some more TNT. He woke up in a panic at the thunderous sound, disoriented.
"WHAT THE FU-"
He was interrupted by his two tormentors howling with laughter, peeking out from behind a tree not far from his sleeping spot.
"Sup Bdubs! Get some good sleep?" Tango called, smugly.
Impulse was doubled over beside him, absolutely cackling. "Yeah, you thought you could run away huh? Oh Bdubs…"
"Oh veRY FUNNY!" he tried, but his voice and face betrayed his tiredness and annoyance.
"Ha, ha, yes hilarious, now will you leave me alone?"
Tango gave him a cruel smirk. "Well why don't you try to sleep again and find out?"
His heart sank, seeing how invested the two were in this prank. They really weren't going to let him sleep.
"Please?" It was a pitiful request, free of any of the usual amusing inflection in his voice. Tango and Impulse looked at each other, having a silent conversation. Finally, Impulse spoke.
"Okay, if you can make it to tomorrow without sleeping, we'll let you off the hook. We just wanted to see how long you could go," he said, laughing.
"Yeah, Bdubs, it'll be a great challenge for you! See you in the morning then?" asked Tango.
Bdubs considered their offer. What choice did he have? He could make it through one night.
"Fine," he sighed. "I'll just...read or something."
The Boomers smiled.
"We believe in you!"
"Bye Bdubs!"
They flew off into the night, leaving him to face the rest of the long night alone.
***
It was painful, but Bdubs made it through.
Grabbing his things, he took off back toward his base, thinking about the day ahead. He had some farming to do, a small shack to finish detailing, and the concrete shop to restock. Not to mention finding all the Boomer traps in his house. Then he would go to bed early and be done.
The day passed uneventfully, with no bed-related explosions, thankfully. Bdubs dug out all the blocks around the many beds around his houses, ripping out the offensive redstone wiring whenever he found some. He pocketed the TNT. It served Impulse and Tango right.
Bdubs really didn't do well without at least 8 hours of sleep. It was just how he operated. A full night of quality sleep was essential to keeping up with all the building work on the server and keeping up his happy, boisterous personality. The effects of no sleep were already wearing on him. He had been grumpy and distracted all day, trying to keep his eyes open long enough to not fall asleep on his feet. While working at the concrete shop earlier, he had dropped a block of the stuff on his foot. Swearing loudly and hopping on one foot, he slammed the door and left the building, only to find someone he really didn't want to see: Impulse.
"Hello, Impulse," said Bdubs stiffly.
"Bdubs! Get some good sleep? Oh wait!" Impulse chortled.
He restrained himself from telling Impulse just exactly what he thought of their stupid prank and no sleep challenge (some of the younger hermits were nearby, after all). Instead, he forced out a laugh and put on an overexaggerated expression of indignance.
"You and Tango, I can't believe you would mess with my sleep. Do you KNOW how hard that was? I'm-I'm gonna fall over or something!" He yawned dramatically, pretending to start falling.
Bad idea. He lost his balance for real and fell, slamming into the ground. Impulse just laughed and helped him up, unaware that he wasn't joking.
"Boomers gotta boom, Bdubs."
"Fair enough. Imma get you back though. So you better WATCH OUT!" Bdubs grinned mischievously as Impulse sprinted away in mock fear.
Once he was out of sight, Bdubs slumped over, rubbing his hip where he had fallen. This prank was really starting to take a toll on him.
The rest of the day passed fine, but Bdubs was on edge, finding himself becoming annoyed at little things— the sound of blocks scraping against each other in his inventory, the lowing of animals around the village, the rockets being fired by a passing hermit. He brushed it off, knowing he just needed sleep.
That night, he looked cautiously at his bed. Even though he had checked underneath it earlier and found nothing, the Boomers were some of the smartest redstone workers on the whole server; they could definitely hide traps Bdubs would never find. And now that they knew that disrupting his sleep would get him so riled up, they were bound to do it again, even if he had technically completed their challenge.
Sighing, he flew back to the grass patch from the night before, this time with more wool. Settling down, he tried to fall asleep and realized he couldn't. Despite being bone-tired from last night and a long day today, sleep wouldn't come. A slight panic came over him. He had never not been able to fall asleep before. Was it stress? Anxiety? Both, probably, he thought.
Sighing, he propped himself up against a nearby wall and slapped on his communicator, needing a distraction. He scrolled through the day's messages, laughing at some:
Grian: Guys mumbos AFK again
Grian: What should I do to him
Iskall85: push him in a hole and then cover his floors with ice lol
Xisumavoid: New potion building is open! Free for all my hermits :)
Stressmonster101: Are u tryin' t put me outta business?
Stressmonster101: ill get u for that X, i will
Smiling at his friends' antics, Bdubs moved to get back into bed. But he was still uneasy— something felt off. Scowling at the thought of being woken up by another explosion, he turned over and closed his eyes, trying his hardest to sleep.
Except his paranoia had been for good reason.
Because moments later, TNT went off, startling Bdubs awake. Well, not awake. He never really got to sleep, but he was getting close, and now the goddamn TNT was back.
Groaning in frustration and cursing under his breath, he sat up to look for the victory message he had come to expect. Sure enough:
ImpulseSV: WE GOT HIM AGAIN BOYS
ImpulseSV: aGAIN AAGSAJH
TangoTek: Take notes, ladies and gentlemen
ImpulseSV: Bdubs weve been waiting like an HOUR for you
TangoTek: WORTH IT
TangoTek: lol
Bdubs played along, sending a funny message back, but he was privately glad it was over the communicator and not in real life. He was pretty sure he would have straight up punched the two in the face if they had been nearby. He had done the challenge. It had been over 24 hours since he had slept. Couldn't they leave him the hell alone already?
He thought about trying to be serious with him and ask them, point-blank, to stop. Surely they would see how much they had put their friend through and end it. They weren't that cruel. Right?
Huffing in frustration, he packed up everything he had brought and trudged back to his base. If he was going to get pranked again, he may as well be comfortable at home.
Once he reached home, he threw his things down unceremoniously. Dammit. He should really be sleeping by now. Instead, he tapped his foot anxiously, trying to figure out what to do. He really didn't want to risk another bed-splosion.
He went an hour or so wandering around his base, organizing things and doing odd jobs here and there, and by then it was 11:23. But Bdubs couldn't get himself to try the bed, no matter how much his tired body screamed at him to. He wouldn't do it, not when he knew he would probably just be woken up again. So he kept finding things to do. 11:30 turned to 12 am, turned into 2:30, turned into 5:00 am, and suddenly it was light outside.
Oh. That was bad. He hadn't slept in two nights.
Closing his eyes where he stood, he swayed slightly as he clenched his jaw. Two nights. Goddammit. He realized with horror that he could feel tears beading up in his eyes. This wasn't sustainable.
He took a deep, centering breath and thought about everything he had to get through to finish this never ending day. Groaning at the thought of getting through another day, he made a decision. He would just have to talk to Impulse and Tango. This wasn't happening anymore after today.
***
So today, he was tired. And crabby. He had been awake for over 80 hours, and Bdubs was in a mood and a half because of it. He snapped at Scar during a mayoral meeting, shoulder-checked Mumbo "on accident" while passing him in the shopping district, and kicked down a particularly ugly flower in front of the Barge. He looked terrible, too, with dark bags under his eyes, uncombed hair, and wrinkled clothes he hadn't taken off in two days.
Several hermits passing through the shopping district gave him worried, questioning looks, making him even angrier. He tried to reason with Ren, who saw him and stopped to say hello, and tell him he was perfectly fine, thank you very much, but his argument was weakened by the way he tripped and nearly faceplanted over a small bump in the road.
"You really don't look good, my dude, you need to take a break or something," laughed Ren, lending him a hand to pull himself and looking at him with a mixture of amusement and concern.
"Well I'm fine, so leave me the hell alone," he snarled in response. The other man had just raised his eyebrows and walked away.
After, he decided to go to his concrete shop to calm down and try to get away from everyone. He pulled out a spare bed and looked at it longingly. Maybe the prank was truly over now? It had been a bad day, and he was so tired…a nap wouldn't hurt.
Lying down gratefully in the comfy bed, (had it always been this comfortable? surely not) he felt the familiar pull of sleep. Just as he was about to doze off, it happened again.
The godforsaken TNT went off.
Bdubs lost it.
"GODDAMMIT TANGO AND IMPULSE YOU SONS OF-"
He was interrupted by laughter from the very two he had just cursed at. They emerged from a door in the wall sneakily hidden by pistons, cackling and falling over each other.
"Oh my God, he actually fell for it-"
"I can't believe it worked-"
"No, Impulse, cause he's so predictable-"
Bdubs closed his eyes, ignoring the way it made the world spin around him, just trying to block out the incessant, annoying laughter filling his ears. He could do this, he just needed to put on a smile and pretend it was all funny-
"He can't go ONE NIGHT without a bed, the precious baby boy," wheezed Impulse.
"Widdle Bdubs is scawed of the dawk, isn't he?" mocked Tango.
He tried to block it out. It's funny, it really is, it's just a prank. Chill out, Bdubs.
"What would we do without him protecting us from all the scaaawy mobbies?"
Tears welled up in his eyes for the second time that day. He was actually afraid of the dark, deathly afraid. It wasn't just a joke to him, they didn't understand...
"Oh, I'm Bdubs, I have to sleep in a bed otherwise i'll get SCARED-"
"SHUT UP!" roared Bdubs. "SHUT UP GODDAMMIT THIS ISN'T FUNNY-"
"Oh but it IS, Bdubs," Tango wheezed, "Cause you fell for it like FIVE TIMES AHAHA-"
He couldn't do this.
"BLUE CREEPER!" he finally yelled, desperate to stop their taunts, to stop everything about the awful prank. The laughter of the other two men died down, finally quelled by the use of the code word.
"Oh shit, Bdubs, are you good?" asked Impulse.
"Yeah, man, sorry, that was the last one we set up," said Tango, shrinking back a bit.
Bdubs hated that they were so suddenly worried about him. As if they hadn't just been making fun of something very important to him, as if this was all a joke. It wasn't funny. They knew he needed sleep and that he was afraid of the dark, of the mobs-
"Bdubs? Buddy? Hey, are you alright, what's wrong?"
But he wasn't paying attention to them. Breathing heavily, he pushed past them, running somewhere, anywhere but here with the other two. He found a corner and pressed himself between the two walls, hiding there for a moment, before reaching for his communicator.
BdoubleO100 whispers to Xisumavoid: blue creeper please come please need help i cantt do it anymore
Tango and Impulse found him there, and they approached him like he was a scared animal, hands raised and eyes wide. Bdubs just hid from them, hoping that-
Teleported Xisumavoid to BdoubleO100.
Thank God, he thought, as he saw the familiar yellow armor. Because suddenly the admin was there, looking at Bdubs with deep worry and care.
"What's happened?" Xisuma asked gently, tipping Bdubs' face up to meet his eyes under the visor. He jerked away, trying to hide his face and his tears. Xisuma instead posed the question to Impulse and Tango, who were looking guilty as hell.
"We sorta played a prank on him…" Impulse said sheepishly.
"Yeah," Tango added, "we just thought it would be funny-"
"To do what?" the admin cut him off sternly.
"...To make TNT explode every time he tried to sleep."
Xisuma glanced back at Bdubs with worry in his eyes. "Why would you do that? You know how he feels about the night!"
At the mention of his fear, a sob escaped him. He slumped to the floor, exhausted. He was so tired, so angry, so embarrassed. He looked back at X, sending a plea with his eyes.
"Please, 'suma, I just...just wanna sleep."
"I know, my friend."
Xisuma left the builder on the floor and stood up to face the pranksters.
"I expect you two to take down everything you set up to explode. Then I expect you to apologize to your friend once he gets some real rest. You took it way too far." He made sure to look both of them in the eye through the tinted visor.
The other two Boomers expressed their agreement and walked out, clearly embarrassed.
An ugly part of Bdubs' mind said good, they should be embarrassed. But he could barely find the energy to be mad anymore. He just wanted to sleep.
Xisuma turned back to him and helped him off the ground. Bdubs all but collapsed into the admin, finally letting some of the tension in his body dissipate. Xisuma shifted to support his mostly dead weight, chuckling softly and giving him a gentle hug.
"Sorry...couldn't take it anymore...goddamn TNT... bullshit," he mumbled.
"Hey, it's quite alright. Let's find you a bed somewhere in my base. I'll patch the code so you can sleep in an actual bed during the daytime. Does that sound okay?"
Bdubs half-sobbed, half-laughed into Xisuma's shoulder. "Yes please. It's… been… long few days."
Teleported Bdoubleo100 to -487.00, 45.00, 1,256.00
Teleported Xisumavoid to -487.00, 45.00, 1,256.00
Once they both successfully reached Xisuma's base, the admin pulled out a bed and set it down in a small building that definitely wasn't trapped. Seeing Bdubs looking at it nervously, Xisuma dug out the blocks underneath, showing no redstone trickery. At last, Bdubs let himself fall into the bed, eyes sliding shut instantly, his body finally free of the tension of the past three days.
Xisuma gently laid a blanket over the man, ruffling his hair fondly and smiling when he moved his head to get closer to the touch. Bdubs mumbled something, trying to thank X, but it was incoherent, his brain too tired to form actual words. The last thing he heard before drifting off was...
"Goodnight, Bdubs."

Hi Mrs. Z! I hope you’re doing well, lovely. I wanted to request Flip teaching his wife how to drive. I imagine how patient and doting he would be looking after her while she masters this new skill. Thanks love! ❤️
A/N: I’m sorry to say this my dear anon, but there is nothing patient about Flip Zimmerman when it comes to driving, lol! But, I hope that you enjoy this chaotic ficlet, even if it isn’t exactly what you had hoped for!
(2.3k, cw: swearing/cursing, arguing, mentions of stabbing, blood, extremely unsafe driving practices, Flip making his girlfriend cry but for only like 2 seconds I promise it’s not really angsty lol)
Tumblr media
If Flip had to think about your flaws, he knows he would come up with a pretty short list. There’s not much that you can’t do, especially when you put your mind to something. He has always thought this, let the record show, he thinks you are capable and strong.
He also thinks you are an absolutely fucking nightmarish driver.
Bracing himself with what he has decided can only be called the “jesus!!”-strap on the passenger side of your car, Flip tries to hang on as you tear through the roads. There’s too much happening all at once, he’s got a million things he wants to say, but as you run yet another red light, all he can manage is to shout out a panicked, “Slow down!!”
“I can’t slow down! You’re bleeding all over the fucking place!” You’re just as panicked as he is, which is a much bigger problem because you are the one currently trying to navigate rainy roads in a two-thousand-pound death machine.
It is true, yes, that he is bleeding all over the place. He may or may not have gotten stabbed in a chase that ultimately led to nothing on a big bust that one of the rookies fucked up for the squad. However, he wasn’t so sure that that meant he wasn’t fully capable of driving. He had wrapped himself in a compress of damp towels and plastic-wrap, and he had wholly intended to take the keys when you threw what could only be described as a fit at the state of him.
Which is how Flip finds himself in the very rare position of being the passenger, with you behind the wheel, driving like a bat out of hell.
“Oh my god – you can’t just run a red light like that – who the hell taught you how to drive ketsl? You’re a maniac!” You barrel through another intersection as the windshield wipers are going a mile a minute, and Flip abandons the strap to light up his sixth cigarette of the ride.
And then, you turn to him with a deep scowl, and throw it right back in his face as you point out one of the biggest regrets of Flip Zimmerman’s life, as you remind him that, “You did!”
“I’m going to die like this. Do you know how embarrassing that’s going to be, honey? I’m a decorated officer of the law, I served two fucking tours in Vietnam and I’m going to die because you can’t – watch out!” Flip has to brace himself again as you swerve around a corner too sharply on wet roads, the tires screeching as you burn rubber underneath your wheels. “You’re so fucking lucky you’re pretty, you know that? Pretty girls like you don’t go to jail like they should for bein’ a menace on the fuckin’ roads. If I were in a better frame of mind I’d give you a ticket – no, worse than that! I’d lock you up, house arrest, no more drivin’ for the rest of your days.”
“Okay fine, you drive then.” You snap, throwing your hands up with exasperation, abandoning the wheel entirely, “If you’re going to just bitch the whole time you can do it.”
“Ketsl!” Flip yells as he grabs the wheel so that the two of you don’t go crashing into a street lamp, “Jesus you’re gonna kill us. How’d you even get your fucking license anyway? Bet you smiled so pretty at the schmuck at the DMV and batted your lashes. You’re a menace, I can’t believe you.”
Yes, he was the one who taught you how to drive. Or at the very least, he’s the one who attempted. He remembers it as if it were only yesterday, and tries not to think that he’s watching his life flash before his eyes…
                                                        ~~~~~~~~
You had been waiting for him on your front porch when he came pulling up to the curb one day after work. Dressed real smartly, you bounded over to the driver’s window and he rolled it down enough that you could lean in and give him a big wet kiss.
“Hey sweetheart, what do you want to do today?” Flip had asked, starry eyed that he got to call you his girl. He had a couple plans in mind for the evening, but he always liked to ask you first, because your input mattered more.
“You can’t laugh.” You started off by saying, which by all accounts should have been Flip’s first clue that it was going to be a stressful day.
“Why would I laugh?”
“Because I was hopin’ you’d teach me how to drive.”
You look too hopeful for Flip to say no flat-out, but he really wants to. He really really wants to say no. But he’s a gentleman, or at least he tries to be, so he tries to find a polite way to say it, and eventually settles on, “…You sure about that?”
“Yeah! C’mon it looks real easy, and you’re a great teacher and you love me so much and I thought that it would be nice.” You’re determined, and he loves that about you in just about every other circumstance, as you continue on and on, “You know and then maybe if I get my license I could get a car and you wouldn’t have to go waitin’ on me all the time. I could pick you up from work, take you out to dinner.”
“But I like waiting on you and picking you up and taking you out to dinner.” Flip points out as he reaches through the window and pinches your nose playfully between his fingers, gives your face a little shake.
“Please Philly? Please won’t you teach me?” You pout and give him your best doe eyes, batting your lashes at him in the way that always gets him to say yes, and he sighs.
He brings you back to his house, and gets out and calls Jimmy, who he somehow manages to convince to bring his car over. Flip drives a stick-shift, and he can already tell that would be a nightmare in itself, but Jimmy drives an automatic, which he has a feeling is going to be easier.
You’re too excited to be learning that you don’t even question it, happily climbing into the passenger seat and marveling at all the dials and numbers on the dashboard. Flip slides into the passenger seat and hands you the keys.
“Okay, this here’s an automatic car. That means you don’t have to worry about shifting gears too quickly, and can focus on just controlling the car.” He explains, and you nod.
“How come we aren’t in your car?” You ask offhandedly, and Flip scratches at his goatee.
“Because I like my car.” He replies truthfully.
“Rude.”
“First step, turn the car on and check your mirrors.” Flip ignores the remark and tries to be encouraging as you turn the ignition and the engine rumbles underneath you. You jump a little, letting a happy laugh escape your lips at the marvel of automotive technology, and Flip tries not to be patronizing. It doesn’t work that well, “Very good, you’re doing great, you’re a natural. My girl, the natural.”
“You’re so mean to me why do I put up with you?” You chuckle, not wanting to feel like a dog who learned a new trick, even if that is sort of what it felt like.
“Love you,” Flip apologizes with a kiss, and checks to make sure the coast is clear before instructing, “Put the car in reverse, and slowly lift off the brake – ”
Either you have a different definition of slow, or this is going to be a lot harder than Flip thought, because his stomach is swooping up into his throat as you go speeding down the driveway, foot almost entirely off the pedal.
“Sorry!” You immediately slam on the brake, and Flip’s head smacks forwards against the dashboard, making you wince as your entire body tenses up, “I’m sorry, slowly, right got it, slowly.”
This should have been Flip’s second clue.
His patience manages to last for three entire minutes, before he just can’t take it anymore.
You’re out of the drive way now, having successfully avoided hitting the mailbox, and are now making right turns around the neighborhood, except that you really aren’t grasping how slow slow really is, and Flip’s seriously worried someone’s porch dog is going to be in major trouble.
“You have to slow down before you turn!” He grits his teeth, his foot instinctively pressing on a brake that isn’t there, and he wishes in the back of his head that he had rented one of those student driving cars as he fists a hand into his hair and bites the inside of his cheek, “Are your shoes filled with lead? What’s the matter with you? Who have you ever been in the car with that drives this fast?”
“You always speed like this!” You point out, but Flip doesn’t want to hear it.
“Yeah, on the highway! Not in a residential fuckin’ neighborhood – you know maybe that’s what you need, let’s get on the freeway, c’mon make a right here.” Flip instructs, and you let out an exasperated sigh and do as he says.
Ten minutes later, Flip is certain you’re going to drive him over a cliff, and it shows.
“Pull over – you know what, just fuckin’ – pull over. You don’t need to learn how to drive, okay? You don’t have to do anything from now on but sit there and look pretty, and eat some snacks. Okay?” He’s not shouting, not exactly, but his voice is raised with panic and irritation, patience completely gone out the window.
“Okay.” You reply, voice small, as you put on the flashers and hit the brakes, gravel flying everywhere underneath the tires as you pull onto the shoulder, away from the free-way.
Flip lets out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding, and rubs at a pounding headache that formed, as you get out of the car and begin to walk away. Confused and concerned, Flip immediately wrenches open the door of the car and follows you, his tension and panic giving way to an altogether different fear when he notices you wiping at your eyes.
“Are you crying?” Flip demands, his voice a little too harsh, and you wince from it.
“No.” You scowl at him, your eyes absolutely filled with tears that keep welling up, clinging to your lashes.
“Aw ketsl don’t cry – ”
“I’m not fucking crying.” You cry, before throwing your hands up in the air in exasperation and defeat, “Sorry I’m such a shitty unteachable terrible awful driver.”
Flip feels a dagger go through his chest, he doesn’t think he’s ever made you cry. Never, not once, in all the time he’s known you, and now here he is, feeling like the biggest schmuck in the world, because he lost his temper.
Approaching you gently, Flip pulls you into his arms and kisses the top of your head, kisses all over your face, at your cheeks and chin.
“Hey, no one said any of that.” He whispers, rubbing his cheek against yours, trying to get you to calm down.
“You didn’t have to.” You sound so glum, and he hates himself for it, because it’s his fault.
“Look at me?” Flip grabs your cheeks in between his hands, squishes them every so slightly as he looks you in the eye and says seriously, “You are a great person, with many, many talents. And driving…like anything it’s all about practice. That’s just what you need, some practice.”
“It was a stupid idea in the first place, I don’t know what the fuck I was even thinkin’.” You try to shake him off, but he’s stronger than you and won’t let you go that easily.
“You were thinkin’ that you’d like to be independent and I don’t blame you.” Flip realizes, chewing on his lip. It was the 1960s now, women were starting to drive in greater numbers and you wanted to be one of them, you didn’t want to be some helpless damsel not able to get herself around. As much as Flip wanted to be the fella to take care of you, he couldn’t fault you for wanting to take care of yourself, so he sighs out a gentle, “Let’s give it another go? Will you drive us back to my house?”
“’Kay.” You hear the sincerity in his voice, and you nod.
“That’s my girl.” Flip kisses away those unshed tears, and leads you back to the car, opening the driver’s door for you.
“If you yell at me again though, I’ll let go of the wheel and you’ll have to fuckin’ deal with it.” You threaten, and Flip only chuckles, not thinking you’d ever mean it.
                                                       ~~~~~~~~
At the hospital, you sit on the edge of his bed and reach for his hand. Flip gives it to you, and you pull it to your lips, pressing a kiss to the wedding band. Those days seem so far away now, and really, you are a good driver. You are.
“I’m sorry.” You sigh, “I’m just worried about you. I always get worried when you show up at home bloody like that.”
“I shouldn’t have yelled, that was wrong of me.” Flip shakes his head, an amused smile on his lips. God it really was a good thing you were pretty, wasn’t it?
“Think I just need a little more practice?” You crack a grin, biting at your lip and echoing a sentiment that he had shared years and years ago.
“Yeah, we’ll start with a couple right turns as soon as I’m free to go.” Flip replies, and you huff out a laugh.
“I hate you, you know that?” You kiss his ring again, rubbing your cheek against his palm.
“What was that? I couldn’t here you, come a little closer…” Flip’s hand cups your cheek, winds into your hair a little as he guides your face down down down to kiss him.
Eyes closing, you press your smiles together, knowing that when he’s discharged after his pain killers start to wear off, when you drive home it’ll be a far calmer affair.

Everything Comes at a Price (Demon!Dark/Fem!Reader) Chapter 1
Commission prompt: Reader is really depressed, and Dark decides to roughly Fuck the depression out of them
Important: Reader has female pronouns and is a vagina owner!
Warnings (For this chapter specifically): Talk of depression and stressful life, mentions of unnamed character death, mentions of beheading/dismembered head and some minor blood/gore (not too detailed), cursing, mentions of family in the hospital, demon!Dark (akin to jinn or genie), and pet names.
A/N: PLEASE READ THE WARNINGS! This first chapter is allllll story setting. Part two will have the good ol' rough and dominating Dark fucking.
As always, if you would like to support me, I have a Ko-Fi (here) for donations and I usually have a few slots open for commissions (unless life gets in the way)!
“Look, I think it’s just best if you take some time off.”
Though worded nicely, you instinctually felt the pang of panic and anger already bristling in your chest.
“Time off…” you murmur, eyes sliding down to your boss’s desk in thought, “As in, a week or two or…?”
You let the implication hang heavy in the air. There was a telling silence that followed your question. When you finally met his gaze again, your boss let out a hefty sigh. Before he even said anything, you knew what his answer was by the sympathy on his face alone.
“We won’t fight your unemployment for the first few months, which hopefully will be enough time for you to find another place of employment. I’m sorry, Miss Y/N, but between the company making cutbacks and your recent drop in productivity, I had to-”
“Don’t you dare,” you hissed sharply, interrupting him before he could finish the excuse.
Rage fueled your motions, forcing you to your feet while your eyes narrowed on the man you’d once thought a decent person.
“A drop in productivity?” you scoffed, “My apartment building was just destroyed in a freak fire two weeks ago that, of course, my insurance refused to cover. I’ve been bouncing place to place between motels and friend’s homes until I can afford another deposit on the measly pay you give us. My mother is in the hospital, in the ICU, after a freak hit and run. My car broke down yesterday and I walked thirty fucking minutes in the pouring rain today just to make sure you assholes weren’t a man down with all this work. And you knew all of this, but you still decided to fire me? I can’t- You know what, fuck you. Fuck you and fuck this place! I hope this whole company shuts down and you get to experience even a modicum of the instability I’ve had to!”
Before he could respond, you slammed the chair back into place against the desk and stormed from the room. You could feel the confused gazes from your coworkers as you marched to the door but didn’t dare spare them a glance. Most of them you considered to be your friends and you knew you’d have to explain everything later, but you couldn’t allow anything other than anger to inhabit your body at that moment. One bit of sadness and you would crumble. Rage would keep you safe until you made it to your temporary home for the night.
Little curses and fury-filled resentment spilled from your lips as you stepped out into the dreary public. Of course, it was still raining. You hadn’t even dried off from your trek to work and now you were thrown right back out into the storm. A timely crack of lightning rumbled across the sky as you shot one last middle finger back at the door.
“I can’t believe this shit,” you grumbled.
Pulling your raincoat up over your head, you kept your gaze down and began your journey back to the hotel. The one upside to all the rain was that the sidewalks were nearly barren. Cars sped by on the busy roads but you were alone on foot. In fact, you didn’t see a single soul until you were on the block housing your hotel, and somehow that lonely occupant still managed to slam into you.
“Excuse you,” you muttered.
“So sorry, please excuse me.”
The person’s voice sent shivers down your spine and every last hair stood up on your arms. Reflexively you pulled back as a hand touched your side, ready to give them a mouthful, but they were moving on by the time you could gather your wits about you. All you caught was a tall form in a black business suit striding off in the opposite direction.
With an irked tsk and a mutter of “Fucking asshole”, you rushed into the lobby, stomping the rain from your shoes along the rubber mat. Sure you were pissed off but you still had the human decency not to create more work for others.
You managed a little nod to the desk clerk on your way by to the elevator. As you watched the numbers climb slowly down, you mentally questioned the fates if the world was against you. The elevator stopped on literally every- single- floor; All 25. Trying to maintain your composure, you leaned up against the wall and let your eyes flutter closed, slowly breathing in and out rhythmically. Just a little longer and you’d be in the safety of solitude. You could let it all out.
The ding of the lift doors opening pulled you out of your little meditative session and you immediately let out a grateful sigh of appreciation upon realizing it was empty. Being stuck in a small metal box with others for an undetermined amount of time made your skin crawl, much less when you were already on the edge of snapping. You mashed the close button repeatedly until the metal doors finally sealed shut and the elevator began to move. The rest of the journey was a blur until you stopped at your room door and fished your card out of your pocket, coming out with not only the plastic key but a large silver coin.
“The fuck?” you muttered.
As the door buzzed open, you flipped the coin over in your fingers, trying to think back on when you had gotten it. You were pretty sure you’d never seen anything like it before; completely void of any details on one side but the other filled with finely engraved words.
The loud startling thump of your keys as you threw them on the nightstand wasn’t even enough to draw your concentration away from the interesting little trinket. It took a few minutes and some good lighting but you eventually figured out what was written; the discovery only confusing you further.
“Clutch this coin to thee whilst ye make a plea
In return ye shall become my endless devotee”
“Yeah… that’s not creepy at all,” you sighed.
Tossing the coin on the nightstand next to your keys, you sloughed off your wet clothes and tossed them in the small hamper next to your duffle bag. After this horrid morning, you needed a long hot shower before you pondered on any strange coins or the mental shithole that had become your life.
You weren’t sure exactly how long you spent under the burning water but, by the time you exited, you were both hungry and in dire need of some caffeine.
“Or a nap. A nap could be heavenly,” you murmured to yourself.
Towel around your head, you dropped into the bed naked and took a moment to revel in the sheets against your freshly lotioned skin. There was hardly a better feeling. Thank god you had the good sense to buy some of your own sheets rather than rely on whatever the hotels had to offer. It made your day the tiniest bit better.
As you leaned back against the headboard, you snagged up the coin once more. The metal was cool against your warm fingers as you flipped it around and around. Did you dare give it a try? What was the worst outcome: You felt silly for believing a random coin and no one would ever know? Although, what if it was legit...?
Now that thought made you feel silly. A little chuckle passed your lips before you clasped the coin between your hands and brought it to your chest, closing your eyes as if about to pray.
“Alright, I don’t know how this works so I’m just gonna state my wishes out loud. I hope that works for, well, whoever you are. First off, I want that backstabbing business ruined. They fucked me over after I bent over backward for them, now they deserve to feel the same. Please. Second, I don’t know how you could do it, but I’d really like my insurance company to finally approve my apartment claim so I can find another place soon. Third-”
You trailed off as emotions immediately welled up behind your eyelids, the burning already tingling in the back of your throat from holding them in.
“My third and most important wish, please, if nothing else, find the one that put my mom in the ICU and make them pay. Those idiots down at the police department couldn’t find them, or so they say anyway, so just… give them what they deserve, please.”
With a stifled sniffle, you wiped away the few tears that had escaped and fell back against the headboard, eyes staring unseeing at the ceiling as you let the pain wash over you; Rage, dread, hope, apathy, desperation. Eventually, the unending barrage became too much to deal with. This wasn't a new thing in your life, but it had certainly culminated into something worse with everything going on in your life; clinical depression exacerbated by a series of unfortunate events.
With no other plans for the day and the weight of your heart heavy in your chest, you chose to simply roll over and bury yourself, and your troubles, in the fluffy comforter. You’d feel better after a nap. You were almost certain of it.
Even as you drifted off into sleep, the tears didn’t cease.
When you first woke, you weren’t sure what had roused you but you knew it wasn’t good; All you could feel was bone-trembling terror. You couldn’t move, couldn’t speak, felt frozen in place with only the ability to stare at the now dimly lit wall; watching the shafts of setting sunlight ever so slowly creep down by the minute.
“Come now, darling,” a low voice crooned in the void behind you, “I know you’re awake.”
Like a rubber band snapping, the grip on your body suddenly released and you shot up in bed, immediately turning around to find out who had spoken. You weren’t sure what you expected but it certainly wasn’t the devilishly handsome man that was seated next to the window. The sunlight pouring down on him made it very obvious that his skin was lacking any range of melanin, rather being pallor shades of whites, blacks, and greys, but that didn't detract from his appearance at all. In fact, he looked like something out of a Gothic romance novel or a Tim Burton movie. Once the enchantment of seeing him began to wear off, you finally noticed what sat on the table next to him.
A human head.
“Holy fuck!”
A hellish screech escaped your lips as you hastily scrambled backward, trying to get as far away from him as quickly as possible, only to go careening off the edge of the mattress. The pain of impact on the floor couldn’t even deter you. As your back hit the wall, you kept your eyes pinned on the intruder, watching for any sign that he was going to follow you or attack.
“While I’m certainly not minding the show, don’t you think you’re rather underdressed for this occasion?” he spoke suddenly.
It took a few moments for his words to sink in but the moment they did, you launched yourself back at the bed with a hushed curse and promptly pulled the sheets up around your naked body.
“Who are you? How did you get in here? I-Is- Is that real?”
Long clawed fingers made their way into the matted, bloody mess of hair and pulled the body part free from the table with a sickening pop.
“It is undoubtedly real, but I figured you’d believe me much quicker if I had a visual aide to my claims,” he replied, dropping the offending thing before tossing you a sharp, seductive, smile, “The name is Dark. I’m a demon and the owner of the coin you wished upon.”
Your tongue felt too heavy to move while you watched in horror as he licked the blood from his fingers like a cat bathing itself.
“I- I don’t-”
“You don’t understand,” he supplied helpfully.
As he rose from his seat, you stared at him owlishly, unable to take your eyes off his graceful form as he nearly glided across the floor to stand in front of you.
“That coin,” he hummed, pointing at the metal disc in question, “It belongs to me. When someone makes a wish while holding it, I’m able to hear them. In your case, I heard all three.”
Trepidation tickled the nape of your neck when your eyes slowly rolled over to the head once more. It was as if you couldn’t breathe. Sick crawled up your throat and it took every ounce of your strength to keep from vomiting at the man’s feet. You don’t know how long you sat there, struggling to breathe and ease the nausea but, when it finally went away, rage took over.
“I didn’t want you to actually KILL them!” you shouted.
The demon casually arched a brow in your direction before saying, “You specifically wished for the one involved in your mother’s accident to get what they deserved.”
“Yeah! Like prison! Not death!”
A soul-trembling crack resounded through the small hotel room as he slowly craned his neck side to side, ethereal pulses of red and blue emanating from his being. Some of the previous ire slipped from your hold when he moved even closer, step by step until his knees were touching yours.
“I will never understand you humans and your sense of righteousness. Would it ease your mind to know this wasn’t the first time they had committed such heinous crimes?” he asked.
“W-What?” you questioned softly.
“I will not delve into details but rest assured that your embarrassing sense of compassion was lost on them; they were vermin,” he explained, “Now, that makes three wishes fulfilled. You have two remaining.”
You thought back on exactly what wishes you had made and were immediately overcome with dismay.
“Wait, what did you do?!” you demanded, jumping to your feet and glaring up at him, “You didn’t kill anyone else, did you?!”
A twinge of disdain passed through his features. His hand landed heavily on your shoulder and you were shoved back down onto the bed with a 'tsk' of disapproval, as if scolding a misbehaving child.
“Fortunately for you, no. Your previous place of employment has simply been condemned for multiple code violations that have mysteriously come to light during a surprise investigation, and your insurance company has been informed that they’re facing a lawsuit if they don’t reevaluate your claim with a more positive outlook.”
Relief flushed through your veins and you thanked him meekly. You wouldn’t have been able to live your life knowing you had caused the deaths of so many people, let alone friends.
“So, what now?” you asked.
“You have two more wishes before your soul belongs to me.”
He said it with such finality and ease that you almost didn’t react at first. Once his words settled in though, oh, panic quickly followed.
Gaping up at him in wide-eyed disbelief, you tried to stammer out some rebuttal or plea, but nothing would come out. Panic soon gave way to defeat as you realized there was no obvious way to get out of this ordeal. It had been clear as day on the coin.
Thinking on the offending piece of metal, you looked over and snagged it up, reading the inscription once more.
“Clutch this coin to thee whilst ye make a plea
In return ye shall become my endless devotee”
“So that’s what this meant,” you sighed quietly, before gazing at him once more, “And there’s no way to bargain out of this?”
He looked mildly pleased by your inquiry, letting out a little hum before falling back into an ornate chair that definitely hadn’t been there a few seconds ago.
“And what would you bargain?” he purred, “What could a simple little human such as yourself have to give to me, other than your soul of course.”
You cursed his infallible logic and stayed quiet as you tried to think over your options. Truly, you had nothing else to give him; no money nor gifts. Your soul was the only valuable thing you owned, and there was no undoing what had been done. A person had died because of your wish.
With a heavy sigh, you sat up to your full height and prepared yourself mentally.
“Is there a time limit? Do I have to make my wishes today or can I think about them?” you asked.
“You’re free to use them when and wherever you wish. However, do not think this a loophole. Choosing to postpone your wishes until death does not release you from this contract. Your soul will still belong to me when you die.”
Well fuck. There went that option. If you were doomed no matter what, you might as well make use of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity... right?
“I’m going to need time,” you whispered.
“Fair enough,” he replied, finally taking a step back, “You have my calling card. You can call for me if you have any questions, otherwise, you know what to do.”
He strolled back to the window and snagged the dismembered head, flashing you a wide smirk that framed his fangs perfectly.
“I’ll just be taking this with me. Hope to hear from you soon, darling.”

-Humming- Draco Malfoy x Female Reader
    ☼-🐍-☼
Request: @the--queen-of-hell   Draco x reader where they obviously have a huge crush on each other... and reader catches Draco humming a sweet tune to himself whenever he's trying to calm down (because maybe his mom did they when he was little)?? And later, Draco finds reader playing that same tune on the piano, and they kiss. Then draco asks her to play it again, and he kinda falls asleep on her shoulder?? Sth like that?? fluff overload? No pressure tho, totes understand if u dont wanna write it! xoxo
   Kody: Super cute.
   House: Slytherin
   Possible Triggers/Warnings: cursing, panic attacks
    ☼-🐍-☼
being wealthy did not mean comfort, not one bit. Being able to buy anything you want did not mean you had everything. Draco Malfoy did not have everything. It was hard to find comfort in Hogwarts when he are raised to keep up a tough exterior.
at the age of 13 is when he figured out was panic attacks are. It’s also when he started to have them quite often. A couple things triggered them: stress, anything involving his father, and keeping up appearances. He was lucky to have met his friends Blaise, Theodore, Pansy, and you.
each and everyone of you were like him. Purebloods, wealthy, and wanted so desperately to separate yourselves from your parents. Blaise and Theo just wanted to get married and move away to a small town. Pansy wanted to be a fashion designer and of course marry Ginny Weasley.
you wanted to be a pianist and travel the world playing your music. Oh yes, you might be wondering what Draco wanted most in the world. Well, as cheesy as it was. To be with you. Over the years of friendship between you two it was natural that romance would blossom.
the thing is the both of you have insane insecurities that would prevent you each time from confessing. You needed each other and wouldn’t risk losing what you had for everything. Even if it meant yearning for each other for the rest of your days. Love is blind or maybe you both were
    ☼-🐍-☼
today Draco was on his own. Blaise and Theo had to retake an exam they missed all morning, Pansy was on a date with Ginny, and you offered to help Mcgonagall to prepare for morning classes like you did every so often. Draco didn’t like being left alone for long periods of time, but wouldn’t say anything.
as he stood in his room he heard a slight tap to left. He gently placed down the book he was reading and looked towards the direction the sound came from. He saw his owl at the window, letter attached to it’s foot. He pushes himself up from the bed and walks over.
he reaches for the window latch and pops it open before he pushes both sides. He reaches for the letter and gently unties it from its claw. “Thank you” he spoke softly and gently pet the owls head. His father would never let him name him because he didn’t want him to become attached to the creature.
he would think of a appropriate name another day for his feathery friend. He flips the letter over and sees a black wax stamp with the letter ‘M’ engraved in it. Speaking of his father. His expression instantly dropped as he used his finger to tear it open.
He picks out the letter and unfolds it recognizing his father’s handwriting. He began to read the contents of the letter. Same old same old, asking about his studies and such and pushing onto him about being a true Malfoy and whatever the hell that meant. He felt his chest tighten a bit, like the air was being sucked out of his lungs
damnit. Why couldn’t he just live his own life? Why did he have to push nice people away just because they weren’t a Slytherin or a pureblood? It was bullshit. Draco started to hyperventilate. Shit. Not now. Everything became hot. Why was the room so hot?
dropping the letter, Draco runs out of his dorm. He needed fresh air or he’d pass out. Running through the halls, he began to lose his sense of direction. He pushes open a random door and slides down the closet wall until he hits the floor. He was panting heavily and his hands were shaking.
he begins to hum a tune. A sweet tune his mother used to hum to him when he was younger and had nightmares. She always say “When you hum this it will calm you down and someone will come and find you. Sweet dreams Draco” he pulled his knees up to his chest and continued to hum the tune.
    ☼-🐍-☼
after you finished helping professor Mcgonagall you began to walk back to the Slytherin house. It was always cold at Hogwarts so you put on layers. A black turtleneck sweater with a emerald green one on top and black and white plaid pants.
you walked past the music room where you went to play piano and heard a faint humming noise. Taking a few steps back you lean against the door to listen to it. It was definitely male, but you couldn’t tell who it exactly was. It was a lovely tune. It was sweet and upbeat, almost like a lullaby of some sorts.
after a minute or so the humming stopped. You push open the door to find Draco curled up against the wall. You rush over to him, dropping to your knees beside him “Draco?” you say reaching to grab his face. He looks up from the ground and at you “Y/n?” he asked, almost unsure if it was you.
you nod and wrap your arms around him “Sorry i wasn’t here” you spoke in a hushed tone. He lays his head on your shoulder, shaking his head “It’s fine. Your here now” he says. Both of you held each other until you could no longer that day.
someone did come to find him that day.
    ☼-🐍-☼
you couldn’t stop thinking about the tune you heard. You were tossing and turning in your bed unable to sleep. Fuck it. You threw your blanket off your body and pushed yourself out of bed. You slip on some black boots real quick over your off white long socks. You had been wearing stockings and a oversized emerald green flannel.
you slowly creep towards you door, trying to not step on any lose floor panels that would creek and alarm anyone. You turn the handle of the door and step out into a dark hallway, looking to left. You step out and face forward so you could walk down the hall.
   smack!
you come face first with a hard and warm surface “Ow!” you exclaim as you take a step back. You look up to see the one and only Slytherin prince, hair a mess and a confused expression “Y/n? What in the hell are you doing up so late?” he asked.
you stumble over your words for a moment “Just wanted to sneak some snacks from the great hall. Cover for me if Snape comes. Okay bye” you push past him and rush down the hall. Draco stood dumbfounded trying to decipher what you just said.
so he followed you of course. What friend wouldn’t?
    ☼-🐍-☼
as you walk down the hall, you neared the music room. Your fingers itched to press down on the familiar keys. You push open the door and step into the almost empty room, a smile gracing your face. You walked towards the piano and take a seat on the bench.
you roll up your sleeves to your elbows and straighten your back. The tune flew through your head and to your fingertips. You played the song exactly the way you heard it. You had never heard Draco hum this before and you wondered where he had heard it from.
you gently swayed your head as you played the tune. Closing your eyes you smiled brightly. Soon enough you felt a presence next you, causing you to stop playing. You open your eyes and see Draco sitting next to you. Oh shit. You were caught “You heard me this morning, didn’t you?” he asked.
you slowly take your hands off the keys, nodding. You look down in shame expecting him to be angry for eavesdropping on his private moment. You felt one hand grab your chin and turn it upwards and to the left to face Draco. He leans in a captures your lips in a sweet kiss.
you subconsciously pushed his chest away, breaking you two apart. Draco looks down at you, your faces inches apart. He looks mortified, scared of what your next actions would be “I’m so sorry-” but you smashed your lips onto him instead.
he kissed back instantly, one hand squeezing your side while the other laid on the nape of your neck. Your kiss was sloppy and fueled by by every unspoken confession that was never said over the years. Oxygen is needed for humans to live apparently so you both pull away panting for air.
“My mother is right” he spoke, making you laugh in confusion. “What?” you question. “My mother told me that whenever you play the tune someone will come and find you. It worked for me and it worked for you” you smile lightly and you both kiss again for a short moment.
after your sweet exchange Draco asked you to play the tune again and you did for him. After a couple minutes he laid his head on your shoulder and fell asleep listening to you play. You didn’t want to move him so you wrapped an arm around him and smiles “Sweet dreams Draco”

(Y/n) was a lot of things, but not an idiot. She may be stubborn, emotional, and a bit dense but not an idiot. (Y/n) didn't have time to be an idiot when she joined the Heart Pirates, especially when she began dating the captain: Law. It took a while to get around his stoic and blurt personality but once (Y/n) was able to understand him, she could easily pick up on even the smallest signal, even if Law doesn't know about it. There aren't a lot of things for (Y/n) to be proud of, but she was surely proud of this. She was able to get under ether the tick layer put out by him, although that is true that doesn't mean you know everything about him or share in the emotions he feels. All (Y/n) can do is listen and try to understand him. It would be nice to get some insight into her lover's past, but she not going to push him. When he's ready he'll come to her.
At least, that's what she hoped. She just has to force it out of him. (Y/n) really wished it hasn't come to this but it's been going on for weeks now and (Y/n) can practically feel the anxiety and stress radiating off the male. It was starting to take a toll on her too. All the times he's been lost in thought, pulled all-nighters, and avoided the crew, in general, were piling up. It was honestly getting annoying too (Y/n) but she didn't push it at the time, now was different though.
Now was one of those rare moments where Law was actually able to fall asleep and (Y/n) made sure to be extra careful not to wake him up. Law had a hard time sleeping in the first place, but this time it was different. Although he was able to fall into a deep sleep, Law continued to twist and turned and groan in his sleep. At this rate, it was better to just wake him up to save him from whatever he was dreaming about,
"Pstt, Law." (Y/n)'s voice whispered, as she set down her book and leaned close to Law, who was clenching the blanket underneath him. She called out his name a few more times but he didn't flinch, he continued to twist and turn. Finally, resting a hand on his forearm, she called out to him, "Law, hey-"
As soon as (Y/n)'a hand has touched his arm, Law jolted away and harshly grabbed her. A gasp left her lips as she flinched from the sudden movement. Her eyes started down Law waiting for something else to happen but Law didn't move, he's hand was tightly wrapped around her arm and he stared down at the bed, not even blinking. The dream must've freaked him out a lot.
"Uh..Law, are-are you feeling ok? You seemed to be having a bad dream." (Y/n) questioned, pulling lightly on her arm to try and get it back. That movement seemed to pull him back from his frozen state. Law let out a small hum, as he let go of (Y/n)'s hand. He shifted around a bit, pulling himself up before he looked up at (Y/n). By looking at his eyes and the uneasiness of his breath was like he's seen something disturbing. Knowing that the Polar Tang was surfaced right now, it was probably best to get him to some fresh air, "Ya'know, were surfaced right now sooo if you want you could go get some fresh air."
Law seemed to think about it for a moment, almost as if he didn't want to leave. Then law swung the blanket off of him, he stood up and gave a nod, "Yeah."
Even though he took (Y/n)'a advise, he still lingered in the room for a while before he finally made his way to the door. It was strange, even for Law. He would always jump at the idea of getting some fresh to clear his mind and get a moment alone but he never seemed to linger. This was the first time he did this. Maybe the dream had really disturbed him or maybe,
"Law doesn't want to be alone?" (Y/n) blurted out, as she stared at the door for a while. It was a possibility, a very unlikely one. (Y/n) was gonna make her way out there sooner or later anyway, but knowing the fact that Law wanted her to come with him, made her followed him as soon as possible. With her blanket still wrapped around her, (Y/n) made her way to the top of the ship. There she found Law leaning over the railing and staring off into the starry sky. He looks so pretty when he's lost in thought.
"I always prefer nighttime, it's calming and a lot easier to clear your mind, don't you think?" (Y/n) stated as she took a spot next to Law. His eyes quickly darted from the sky and over at her. Feeling his gaze on her, (Y/n) looked up at him and smiled. Law muttered a small yeah before he went back to staring at the endless blue. It was true, (Y/n) really did love the night sky, all those bright stars lighting up the sky and the different hues of blue that shined beyond them. It was always peaceful too, with no blinding rays from the sun or chirps from any passing birds or loud noises from the crew distract them. Seeing how they are away from any prying ears, now would be the best time to bring up what's been bothering him. (Y/n)'a really not one to invade in personal issues, she always believes what if it's bothering him that much Law will come to talk to her about it. But seeing how he's very much kept everything to himself, (Y/n) was just going to have to put her foot down on this one.
Inhaling sharply, (Y/n) looked back up at Law before she spoke, "You worried about Kiado-no, you worried about Doflamingo, aren't you?"
As if he wasn't already tense enough, Law clenched his fist and looked over at (Y/n). He wasn't trying to show it but panic filled his gaze. (Y/n) couldn't blame him, nobody knew about the plan, it was what he was stressing over. She also couldn't blame him for keeping it to himself, if he had told the crew they all would've had a heart attack. (Y/n) practically did. Taking on a warlord and an emperor was no small task.
"How....how do you know about that?" Law questioned as his gaze started intensely at (Y/n). A small scoff left her lips as she answered,
"I know about a lot of things. It was easy to guess. I had my suspicions at first and when you dropped off that box of hearts to the navy- which, by the way, was creepy and disgusting- and became a warlord you pretty much cleared up my suspicion."
"Shit. You weren't supposed to find out about it." Law hissed as he ran a hand through his hair. Standing up straight, he focused all his attention on (Y/n) now.
"But now I know." (Y/n) gave a firm nod as she turned to face Law. This might be the only time she's able to get information from him, so she gonna make sure, "Why are you even thinking about fighting Doflamingo? I know it's to mess up Kaido's plans and all but I get a feeling that there's way more to it. This plan seems to mainly focus on him."
Law didn't say anything to answer either, he only continued to stare down at (Y/n). The way his eyebrows furrowed together and a frown that painted his lips told (Y/n) that he was debating on whether or not he wants to tell. It really was eating away at him this whole time, he was always debating if he wants to tell (Y/n) but he always figured that it was his burden to bear. She shouldn't be involved in something like this. It wasn't an easy decision
They stood there for a while, (Y/n) watching Law's facial features, but they stayed the same still lost in thought. It must be a pretty big deal for Law and a very personal one too. If Law really wishes not to share his thinking behind the plan, (Y/n) won't pressure him but she's not going to let it go either. Standing up on her toes, (Y/n) rested a hand on Law's cheek, knocking him out of the trance.
"Look, I'm not pressuring you to tell me. You don't have to tell me at all, I just wish you wouldn't be so stressed and tensed." (Y/n) felt Law lean into her hand, which brought a soft smile to her lips, "Your a doctor so take more care of yourself, I can't handle all the negative emotions you have. They make me feel yucky."
A deep chuckle had left his lips. That's exactly what (Y/n) wanted to her. She really can't do much about the emotions or thoughts he has but she can at least try and make him feel better. With that smile from him and the soft smile, Law held, (Y/n) figured her job was down for the most part. Straining her body a bit too much, she reached up and gave him a small kiss on the lips and wrapped her arms around his neck. A happy hum left his lips as he wrapped his strong arms around (Y/n) and gave a squeeze back.
"Ya'know, you're a real idiot. Thinking I wouldn't pick up on it." (Y/n) muttered against his skin.
“Clearly I underestimated you.” Law chuckled, as he felt (Y/n) squeeze him harder this time. That definitely made him feel bad, he can’t even imagine how much he made her worry. It was something that he didn’t even think about, his thoughts consumed him a little too much. Now that (Y/n) was able to talk to Law a bit, hopefully, he’s just a little bit more open.
“You sure did, idiot.”
