Natsume Week, Day 5: Freedom/Possession

This was actually originally a wip I drew after watching the recent movie, but repurposed for this prompt because it fits Very Well. anyway I Adored the tanuma in the swamp imagery in suspicious visitor so of course had to draw it

it also took me forever to figure out where to put natsume, originally he was gonna be hanging off misuzu somehow, but it just looked stupid so I made him sit on the water instead lol. You can actually see the rough sketches of this in the process video on my patreon, if anyone’s interested (link’s in bio), though it’s fairly brief cause I do change my mind on it very quickly lol

I know I already made a post abt this joke but it’s so good I had to draw it too. I just think the ‘sad, white haired, green eyed anime boys with ghost powers’ club should all be friends.

Also just uploaded the speedpaint of this to patreon (link in bio) if ppl are interested! (Tho it is a bit shorter, since I May have forgotten to turn on csp timelapse until I was already halfway done with the sketch. but it’s still good.)

Okay I know a lot of people have talked abt the idea of misuzu becoming tanuma’s nyanko sensei like youkai companion, which is great and I adore, but consider: misuzu just gives tanuma a pet frog instead

(also you know tanuma would ask natsume for name suggestions for the frog and then Immediately regret it when natsume 100% unironically suggests like. froggy chan)

Natsume Week, Day 4: Sweet/Sour

I finally actually have something to post lol. anyway, there’s been a fair bit of official art lately of nyanko sensei eating citrus foods, like mandarins/oranges, which is very cute, but extremely odd if you know anything about cats. they are not the uhh biggest fans of citrus usually, so showing nyanko being totally fine eating them is a very fake cat thing to do, that people would Probably notice
