Anyway, in case anyone needs to know, I literally don't hate Kim. I feel like mildly annoyed by her presence at worst. I made a post explaining reasons I have seen ppl hate on her. And really, no where have I demonized her?

Every reason I gave had to do with her redundancy in the cast, poor introduction, and lack of character outside of her possession. This confession is acting like I called her a terrible bitch. The only comment I made referencing her personality/actions was abt her dismissal of ghost's assault on Zane and self-focus during ghost's Zane outbursts. And tbf that is a trait shared between EVERYONE at the lodge so maybe it was unfair to call her out for it specifically, but it was a post abt why ppl didn't like Kim 🤷‍♀️ I never acted like she was unredeemable monster? I listed a few blunt points that were issues ppl had with her.

Also, your generalizations of "Kim haters" are broad and unmoving. Someone insulted a character u love and ur upset with that, which is fine obvi we've all been there we all get it. But you can't go cry misogyny because someone dislikes a female character u like. To act as if every "Kim hater" is just a misogynistic freak who demonizes all of Aph's frmale characters and falls over backwards for her dudes is both ridiculous and immature.

I like a lot of Aph's male characters, I'm not gonna deny that, but I'm also not gonna sit here and act like they were super cool flawless guys in canon. I am well aware of the fucked up behavior from the guys in Aphmau's series. In complete fairness, Kim was introduced around the time I lost interest in the series when I was younger, so I don't have a childhood idealized version of her that I love (tho Melissa is still a fav of mine), unlike most of the other Aphmau characters I adore.

And I don't adore Aph's version of the characters. I like what I have invented for them in my head. I just don't find anything in Kim to latch onto. Kim's a victim of bad writing, unfortunately her breed of bad writing made her uninteresting to me.

Now listen man. I don't think you can come in screaming abt how misogynistic it is to dislike a female character you like (which like, geniunely good for you. I'm glad she gave u smth to appreciate) while ur favs appear to be Dante and Travis. I love Dante and Travis as well, but we cannot sit here and pretend they are not two of the most egregious examples of casual misogyny in Aph's series (along with Laurance, we both know that). But you and me, we look past that because we see the POTENTIAL if they weren't written like shitheads.

I just don't see strong potential with Kim. That's all it is. I never got a strong read on her as a character, so I never made a glamorized version in my head for her and she never really mattered to me. I had no idea she had such a strong fanbase, and I am being completely geniune when I say I would LOVE to understand why. I want to know why people like her.

I grew up as a CRAZY Aaron hater. Re-entering the fandom as an adult I still didn't like him much. But I have since had my mind changed. There are a lot of people raving on and on abt their ideal Aaron and how cool he could be if he had kept certain traits or expierenced some different events. And they have geniunely changed my mind. There is a version of Aaron in my head I really like, cuz people were able to show me why they valued his potential. I would love to have that same expierence with Kim.

Fandom discourse and character wars aren't worth it to me. I don't want to hate any character or ship. I don't have the time nor the energy for it. If you ever think I hate a character, you're wrong.

I still very much am!!! but a convergence of unrelated happenings (my focus being unusually scattered, lack of general motivation, them not having interacted much in the manga lately, my having pulled out of the fandom a little for a bunch of reasons, having gotten into a lot of new things I want to make a lot of stuff for ??) had my output of stuff for them/inspiration related to them die down a lot ): I miss them though, I should fill a page with doodles of them one of these days... well, I haven’t drawn much in genereal lately, so maybe let’s start first with fixing that haha

hahaha I’m sure he must have freaked out on them at some point after that, and bakugou must have done the same (probably with jirou, less likely but more hilarious with todoroki or tokoyami haha) - though, the original idea came from a bigger one where the scene in the comic didn’t bring them anywhere closer to getting together (or figuring out they’re into each other, for the matter lmao idiots) maybe one day I’ll get back on that >:]
