i'm sure someone has already talked about this but i had such a lightbulb moment on the way to work thinking about Mon's iconic line in episode 7, "I learned from Palpatine. I show you the stone in my hand, you miss the knife at your throat," and how we literally got that exact moment of her learning in The Mask of Fear when Mas Amedda tells her about the Century Plan and how the clone wars were just the distraction. chills. i'm gonna eat my hand
