For two people whose first point of contact had resulted in the exchange of physical blows, Okoye and Attuma got along remarkably well—once their nations officially made peace, that is. In their eyes, the transition from cutthroat enemies to begrudging allies then genuine friends to tender lovers had felt natural, with very few bumps in the road. To those around them, the changes had been unexpected, no one having imagined that the former General of the Dora Milaje would ever be on amicable, let alone romantic, terms with one of the Talokanil responsible for her disgraceful demotion. However, seeing how they were together—both softening from the hard, militant personas to display the playful and affectionate people underneath—it made sense.

On this morning, though, that sweet and considerate couple was far from sight, both at wits’ end. Having recently moved in together, they—Okoye, in particular—were finding the change of their own separate spaces converging into one much more difficult than that of the progression their relationship had made.

Woken out of her sleep by the banging of items in the bathroom, Okoye groaned before looking at the clock on her Kimoyo Beads. There was still some time until her alarm was scheduled to go off, but it wasn’t enough to make snoozing serviceable. Dismissing the alarm, she dragged herself to the edge of the bed, rubbing her bleary eyes along the way. She stood to make her way to the bathroom, but instead of a clear path, which had been the norm when she lived alone, a pile of Attuma’s soiled clothing stood in her way.

“Damn it, Attuma!” she cursed, kicking the garments. “Didn’t I ask you to put these in the hamper? It escapes my understanding how such a disciplined warrior can be such a slob in almost every other aspect of his life. This isn’t Talokan and I’m not your handmaiden. Pick up after yourself!”

During her tirade, Attuma had come to stand in the bathroom’s doorway. He leaned against the frame, arms crossed and eyes narrowed as he looked her over.

“It is bold of a woman, who makes a disaster of the kitchen every time she cooks, to pester me about clothing upon the floor. Why can you not simply walk around it?”

“Because it isn’t supposed to be there! Just like how your hair shouldn’t cover every corner of this house.” Having been bald for well over a decade, Okoye had forgotten what a nuisance hair could be—clogging drains, invading food and coating furniture.

“Since you speak of covered surfaces, must you have multiple cups in every area you rest?” He snapped, pointing out the four cups that currently took up space on her nightstand. “And in the washroom, the tabletop is so filled with your bottles and concoctions that I cannot move about without knocking something over.”

To emphasize his point, he turned into the bathroom and retrieved three of the large containers of lotion she kept near the sink. They were such that she was unable to palm even one, but his large hands were able to comfortably hold three amid their grip.

“Why must they all be out on the table?” He demanded, his hold tightening while he shook them in the area before him. He was so aggravated that he misjudged his strength, squeezing the bottles beyond capacity. They exploded in response, a wash of thick, beige floral-scented cream coating his face, shoulders and bare chest.

Okoye, who’d been irate and prepared to argue back, let out a bark of laughter, bending forward at the waist and slapping her thigh, at the ridiculous sight. Recovering, she sauntered towards him, lips still curved in a smile, and cleared the lotion from his eyes and mouth.

“I’m sorry,” she said, pecking him on the lips.

“As am I,” he conceded. “I will do better.” The scowl had relaxed from his brows and his eyes gentled, gazing into hers.

“So will I,” she vowed. “You know, messy tendencies aside, there’s no one I’d rather be with.”

“And, in spite of your many collections of cups and bottles, you are the owner of my heart.”

More laughter bubbled from Okoye as she removed the ruined bottles from his grasp to be dealt with.

why do i, personally, think he said it? aside from being hurt? i sort of have a very nebulous idea of it that i noticed on a rewatch (yes i will rewatch this season consistently, it's now my among my favorite comfort tv shows along with 2005's p&p (which is a movie i know), that one season of friends, that flea market show i hate (don't ask), and the entirety of bob's burgers) but colin has no idea penelope loves him until episode 6 so it's connected to that.

i am very sorry you were brave enough to ask me a question and now have to read all the nonsense below. god speed.

like, he's flying blind and after the carriage (insert pitbull music...and fingers here) he's pretty insecure that's he's moving a lot faster than she is. it's unsettling to be head over ass in love and feel like you're not worthy of it and then not even be sure where the other person is. that penelope doesn't reciprocate when he first says it to her is noticeable but he moves on so quickly you can sort of assume he doesn't want to give her a chance to, like he's scared of the answer if he asks.

colin waxes poetic about love, about penelope, etc all through eps 5 and 6. he's consumed by it and to be fair, they were on different wavelengths in part 1. she was trying to let him go and move past him and he was stumbling and staring and wanting to die with wanting her while she was like, "hey this guy you hate for no reason likes me, isn't that cool?" and it's pretty fresh for him so i would think something like that lingers.

when she tells him she loves him in ep 6, he's happy. and relieved. i also think he's been expecting bad news (which, you know. it, uh, will be later) so it's a relief to hear that they're on the same page but, and this stuck out to me the first time i heard it, she says she loved him while pretending to be his friend. she corrects herself because of course she was actually his friend but she loved him underneath of it all as well but penelope isn't always the best with words when on the spot and it takes her a moment to calm down and gather her thoughts. the relief (and guilt of him not knowing/reciprocating) is very obvious in the moment and i think he was thrilled to hear that she loved him back.

which leads us to the LW fight. which makes him question if he ever knew her at all. he does, of course he does, but she's been this secret second person who has written about him, his family, her best friend, and her own family for years. penelope's intentions are never malicious when it comes to protecting the people she loves but the execution can leave a fair bit to be desired. she doesn't lie but she isn't always kind, either.

so you have this man beyond in love with a woman he doesn't think he can trust who just admitted she'd loved him for years. it's easy to live in that hurt and anger and assume the worst of someone when they've just betrayed your trust so deeply. it would probably be easy to feel manipulated. i don't think him questioning her motives is beyond the realm of possibility but i do think penelope is better than me because if i get accused of something i didn't do i would act up something fierce (see this is why my husband had to marry me, he had to keep me from terrorizing the rest of the population with my dramatics. a hero of our times, really).

anyways, what i mean is, i think it's easy to ignore the lead up to that betrayal as an audience since we know penelope's anguish and hurt over what she's done but colin has no idea and it's very fresh for him so it's easy to lash out and think everything had a motive. penelope as LW is very calculating and pointed. i think it's smart of her, actually, to continually tell him she loves him and not constantly poke at the argument. she's not giving him anything else to hold up and use against her after the fact. she's very frank and open even when they have their argument in the street.

this idea he has of LW is this hurtful, manipulative person playing with people's lives. like, LW would entrap him but penelope wouldn't so it's easy to hate one and love the other and i think his inability to bring them together as one person could play into that dynamic of feeling insecure of what her intentions were. you can sort of see each time he breaks because he knows penelope loves him but he steps back each time he's reminded of LW and how it comes between them.

something i also think plays out in his inability to communicate effectively and how deeply his self-loathing goes into his jealousy of her success and how he's incapable of being intimate with penelope until he's in a better headspace. he loves penelope. he wants to marry her and be with her and live a life with her but there's a 3rd person in his marriage in his mind and what does one do with all of that when you're so firmly penelope-sexual you're staring at the walls in a brothel when you're still single? idk man.

just remember if you're sorry for having read this, i am sorrier for having written it. except for the penelope-sexual part. that's still funny to me.

a three-part fic exploring mia and diego's story in ace attorney - before, during, and after his coma. it goes into the background of their relationship and dives into godot's mentality after waking up and finding out about what happened to mia. angst with a somewhat bittersweet ending, canon compliant.

Object Class: Fey - completed. an ace attorney scp au, very miego focused with some light background narumitsu. does not represent my current quality or style of writing, but i still enjoy the story a lot and am proud of the fic as a whole!

THE SCRIPTVERSE

the scriptverse is a trilogy of scripts + a prose prequel which seeks to retell fnaf lore completely. it sticks to canon in some parts but deviates in others, so it will surprise you even if you know the lore inside out! i made my own changes to the timeline, mixed and matched stuff from the movie, books and games... overall, just a big revamp of the whole thing, all told through movie scripts!

the series is made up of:

MR AFTON, a william-focused first part retelling the missing children incident

MR SCHMIDT [act 1], a michael-focused sequel retelling william's trial shortly after

MR SCHMIDT [act 2], a massive third part to the series which deals with the fallout of the murder and the trial, michael meeting jeremy, ghosts showing up in the pizzeria, and michael finding out he has a sister he didn't know about! crazy stuff!

mr emily & ms schmidt, a prose prequel to the series which focuses on how henry, william and his wife clara met

WYNNCRAFT

warm hands, cold hearts, gentle smiles (also holy shit is that bak'al over there?)

a fic which focuses on exploring the dynamics between the four twain brothers as kids + includes an appearance from wynncraft's favorite bitch boy. also, i made theorick less of a bitch by explaining WHY canon theo is such a bitch!

my legacy in death, your legacy in ice, our legacy in blood

a follow-up of sorts to the above fic, focusing on mael having to help nesaak post-theorick freezing it. the second half of the fic looks at the time mael spent training bob. all around lots of angst, some hurt/comfort in the second part, and a very, very bittersweet ending.

requiem

currently ongoing!!! an x reader fic that has you, the player, take on the role of the villain. you team up with bak'al to take revenge on someone who has wronged you. the fic, and even its description, contains BIG spoilers for wynncraft's late-game quests, most notably a journey further and a hunter's calling. it also explores some dark and uncomfortable themes, please refer to all relevant warnings!! read at your own risk!

a short fic which focuses on john and lisa's childhood, with a nice portion of catholic guilt and queer shame on the side (yes i projected onto john. no i am not sorry). very experimental but probably one of my personal fave works ever!!!

oh, i will ruin you (it's a habit, i can't help it)

a very short cherik one-shot, because they've infected my brain. it's just them flirting and making out tbh. nothing more nothing less. but i'm pretty proud of it!

a 5+1 exploring charles' post-first class depression era, from hank's perspective. lots of bitterness, lots of anger, lots of sad feels, and a bitter-sweet comfort ending.

tommyinnit - dragonborn! - discontinued. dsmp skyrim au, sbi focused, secondary dream team focus. i really loved this fic and writing it but was forced to discontinue due to... stuff(tm). im still very passionate about the story and happy with what i wrote here, so i recommend it if you're into it.

The Between Dreams and Memories Series - discontinued. a complete retelling of the dsmp storyline. was planned to have 3 parts - same as above, forced to discontinue. contains 2 complete fics (part 1 and a spin off) and one unfinished fic (part 2 of the planned trilogy). one of the biggest fics on my account, a product of several years of work, and a very important work for me, even if its quality doesn't hold up. read if you wish!

a house full of serial killers VS the barbie movie starring margot robbie and ryan gosling - completed. a very very stupid creepypasta chatfic oneshot. i wrote it in one sitting because i was bored. it's nothing special, but it's pretty funny!

Here's Something About Me (Updated)

Decided to rework my intro post. The last one was a bit long and some information on that post is a little out of date. Some things have changed, and some haven’t (e.g. I don’t watch Creeped Out as much as I used to).

Anyway, I’m no_fear_queers both on here and on Instagram. If you found me on here and want to check out my Insta be sure to look for the account that has Ellis from Left 4 Dead 2 over a queer flag pfp. (Note: I don’t expect anyone to follow me on here or Instagram. Haven’t expected to get a whole lot of followers on either site since the accounts were made. I’m also pretty sure my Insta page is shadowbanned but that’s not the point.) I’m 22.

I’m transmasculine, ambiamorous and a termcollector. The terms I’m comfortable with being open with on the internet are; queer, angled aroace, ambiamorous, termcollector, transmasculine, and gendervast. This would be the part where I say “among other things” but this is the best I can do to not make things too long. My pronouns are he/they/it/xe/vir/fae. I’m trying out xe/vir pronouns and I’m using fae/faer pronouns as a REPLACEMENT for she/her. (Meaning I’d rather you use fae/fare instead of she/her.) I’m a satanist that’s into Greek and Norse Mythology.

The first name I have given myself is Ellis. Before anyone asks, yes, I named myself after the Left 4 Dead 2 character. In my defense, Ellis has always been my comfort character and to me, it made sense to name myself after him. As for the middle name I gave myself, it’s Ryan.

Nicknames I’ll accept are Eli, Ray, and Rye. I also want to stress that the nickname “Shrimpy” can only be used by my friends. I only want my friends to call me Shrimpy because; for one thing I cannot confirm that I’ll always be shorter/smaller than the unknown person on the other side of the screen, and for another thing, a friend of mine (I will not be saying any names privacy reasons especially since I don’t know if he changed his name again or not) had given me the nickname Shrimpy (also nicknaming me Shrimp) while he and I were leaving PE because he thought it was easier to remember than my dead name. I also figured that he gave me that nickname because I’m smaller than all my friends. (Given I’m 5’ and somewhere around 101-102 lbs whereas my friends are 5’2”-5’7” and weigh over 101 lbs.) Long story short: If we’re not irl friends, don’t call me shrimpy. Only my friends are allowed to do that.

Personality/Mental health wise, I’m an autistic introvert with ADHD, social anxiety and depression. I don’t really like talking to people, especially since talking feels weird. It doesn’t help that sometimes I stutter and sometimes I don’t make sense. It’s something that I found difficult about being social, and on top of that, I’ll either cross a boundary without realizing it or I’ll misinterpret something that the other person is saying. (Can safely say that I’m one of those people that needs the other person to be more specific when talking to me about anything, and I also need the other person to express their boundaries when it comes to certain topics.) Now, putting aside the fact that I’m socially inept, I can confidently say that I’ll be 2 years SH-free on August 3rd 2024.

I’m sorry I’ve been so bad at answering asks. I promise I’ll answer a couple I’ve let gather dust in my inbox soon!

But when it comes to my all-time favorite episode, it’s really difficult to pick just one. There are so many good ones, and so many that have had a profound impact on me.

But I’ll choose just one anyway.

It’s The Laser-Inth, which I’m sure is not a surprise to those who know me.

I adore this episode for so many reasons, and it’s definitely my favorite Bob and Gene bonding episode. It’s so nice seeing just how good of a father Bob is. Even though it’s his birthday (I always need to emphasize this) and he was so excited to see this performance, nothing is more important than his son. NOTHING.

And when Gene ultimately changes his mind, does he get upset for having wasted all that money for nothing? No. This is Robert Belcher Jr. we’re talking about. This man freaking SNEAKS BACK IN so the two of them can watch the climax of the show. If that’s not dedication, then I don’t know what is. Plus, if memory serves me correctly, he paid even more money to get back in.

This episode is such a comfort one for me. It feels like snuggling into warm blankets after being outside on a cold day. It’s my mac n’ cheese or ice cream after a breakup. It’s just endlessly rewatchable for me. I love seeing these two bond and end up having a great time at the show. They get legitimately closer after this episode, and you can tell. And I adore that.

Also, can we talk about how adorable Bob’s genuine love for Zentipede is? It’s like his love for Cake, it’s amazing.

He’s so excited, bless him.

And, one aspect of the episode I enjoy quite a bit that I don’t talk about enough is the subplot! Of course, Bob and Gene’s main plot is the star of the show, but I think the subplot is quite sweet as well. It’s so kind of Tina to agree to let Louise keep the doll even though she’s terrified. Poor girl! But Louise values her sister over the doll, so she ultimately decides to leave it behind. I love it.

This post is getting way too long, but I love this episode so much. It means so much to me 😭💛

Bob's Burgers - bob's burgers is one of my favourite shows of all time. it's better in the earlier seasons when they were properly weird and the kids were a bit gross but it's held up so far. i am gene and linda

Futurama - i will kill for futurama. it's what the simpsons wishes it was. it's what all animated comedy shows with they were. it's what scifi wants to be. absolute star spot in my heart

The Young Ones - the young ones formed a lot of my college/first year of uni time. when i wore my docs and listened to madness a lot. rik mayall and ade edmondson hold a spot in my heart forever

The League of Gentlemen - this one... hasn't aged so well. but it was one of the first fandoms i was ever active in. and it would be a bit odd of me to disclude it because i'm capable of critiquing the choices they made. but the fusion of horror and comedy are very me

i saw this yesterday, i've loved the hunger games since i was a wee tween and i didn't go to the movies a lot growing up which is why i go so much now. so i never got to see a hunger games movie in theatres until now and i fucking loved it, i know opinions are all over the place but i adored it and highly recommend it!!

Three ships: Eddie Kaspbrak/Richie Tozier these two idiots live rent free in my mind (and I never really left my It phase). Dave Strider/Karkat Vantas I’m a no good homestucker; their dynamic makes me go insane. A tie between Kaminari Denki/Shinsou Hitoshi and Jirou Kyouka/Yaoyorozu Momo because whenever I read a fic for one, the other is sure to appear and both scratch a different type of itch in my brain.

First ever ship: Ruby/Sapphire from Steven Universe. I remember constantly rewatching the baseball episode when they failed their mission because they couldn’t stop flirting. I remember thinking it was the cutest thing ever.

Last song: Rät by Penelope Scott. I think her music is really cool, I love her sound,

Last film: Trolls 2. It had started out with me rewatching the first one for nostalgia purposes. I really liked it, but I didn’t know whether my judgement was clouded by nostalgia or not. So I watched the second one to see if I liked it. And I did. Like, a lot. Now, I’m planning on seeing the third one in theaters. It’s only fitting that the natural progression of my life goes to unironically loving the Trolls franchise.

Currently reading: I’m actually in between books at the moment, I’m trying to decide what I want to read next. The book I just finished was It Came From the Sky by Chelsea Sedoti and I highly recommend it. It was a really enjoyable read. It’s about two brothers whose science experiment accidentally blows up the backyard. They try to get away with it by claiming that it was caused by a meteorite. Eventually this lie spirals into an elaborate ruse where they try to convince the whole town that aliens are real.

Currently watching: Bob’s Burgers. It’s my comfort show.

Currently consuming: The script to the musical You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. I got cast as Lucy and I still need to memorize a few lines.

Currently craving: Iced tea. I’m really thirsty right now.

I think my definition of 'comfort show' is a mix of shows I put on for background noise, like hanging out with the characters, and then shows that will create The Feelings. Anyway I've pretty much exhausted the first category at this point so v keen to hear if anyone's got any 30 min good vibes comedy recs!!

Three ships: Sterek, Wangxian, and Andreil/Pynch tie… ranking interchangeable based on mood.

First ship: Oh gosh… probably Sterek? The first fic in my AO3 history is Sterek back in 2014, but I was reading without an account for a while before that, so I can’t say it with 100% certainty. Sterek was the first ship to leave a lasting impression, anyway.

Last song: Odo, by Ado (I was listening to my “Pump Up” playlist 😁)

Last movie: Marry My Dead Body (Taiwanese movie (US NF); casually homophobic cop has to marry a dead man’s ghost for Plot Reasons, and then a mystery unfolds. Not a BL, but watching them go from enemies to friends and watching the cop learn to not be a dick was fun and kinda heartwarming (cw for two brief but very demeaning portrayals of fat people though). Next in the queue is Our 30-Minute Sessions… primarily because it has Mackenyu from the One Piece live action in it 🙈 (in a Japanese-speaking role too!), but it also just looks cute

Currently reading: (all the fic) I just finished the Tinkered Starsong trilogy by Gail Carriger (gays and kpop in space with aliens! very fun and all fairly quick reads). I just started I Don’t Want to Talk About It: Overcoming the Secret Legacy of Male Depression for my own personal benefit, and then I think the next FUN book on my list is going to be Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yaros. All I know is it’s YA with dragon riding, so like. I’m already sold lol.

Currently watching: Gaya sa Pelikula (Like in the Movies, free on YT). Gay Filipino series; I’m only on episode 3 but so far I am enjoying it. Also watching Strange Planet, Ahsoka, and Star Trek: Lower Decks as they air, and Bob’s Burgers season 14 premiers tomorrow night so I am excited for that (that’s my comfort show haha). Next up is Pending Train.

Last thing I wrote: Uhhhh I’m not an author and I’ve never published anything, but in 2019 I was bodily possessed by a plot bunny and did write a VERY angsty 2.5k Sterek fic fragment involving Derek going to a supernatural BDSM brothel and meeting Stiles and realizing Kate had fucked him up way too much for this and that he was more lonely than horny *cue breakdown and a caring Stiles*… to this day the only fan thing I’ve ever written lol

Currently writing: Nothing! But my brother in law just finished writing his first actual book so I recently helped my sister bind it for him as a surprise! It was both our first times binding, but I was able to help out because I have experience typesetting and had bought binding supplies for my own use before (I still intend to bind The One-Body Problem by metisket eventually because I cannot put into words how much I love that fic)

I dunno how to say this so I’m just gonna say it

I have never had the urge to write fic for Bob’s Burgers before (bc to me it’s mainly a random, cute little show that is a fun watch now and again but not as much as like, my main Comfort Shows ANYWAY.) I do not think I will get the urge again.

But I was hit with some odd vapor to write a weirdly emotional, entirely deeper than it needs to be, thing about Tina having to change her name to a nom de plume so her books will sell and Bob has Feelings about it and Linda makes a philosophical statement on art (including food as an art/experience) and being remembered that also tinges into my hc of the Belchers being Jewish and ‘may their memory be a blessing’ as a beautiful sentiment but how it can mean a lot (at least to my ‘just found out abt family being Jewish in the last few years’ self) and in different ways and

It’s like under 2k words, do I publish this on ao3 or have I entirely lost it. The answer might be both, but also I’m genuinely curious if anyone thinks there’s any point in my publishing this.

I’m very hungry and need to eat but while I’m eating blease comment or msg me w/any thoughts. Girl help
