For forty days and forty nights I have, in the dead of night, brushed my legs and wings against your petals and made honey that will only be your sweetness

I am not selfish, nor do I doubt my wings can beat against the petals of another

But if I fly by during as the days is bright and the other rose's thorn pricks me

the honey we made turns acrid

I hope this little honeybee and the rose he met in a field in the autumn

will still shine as the dew drops cool in the shady early morning

sorry it took me so long to respond to this one, this weekend has just been wack yk 😭

#poet anon #i truly meant to have more written thoughts which is part of why it took longer #but as im sitting here at like 1am im unable to put my thoughts into words 😭#truly sorry poet anon btwn taking so long and then having zero thoughts into words the wait was probably severely underwhelming #like i had thoughts about the metaphor and the words used and stuff and now I cant verbalize it #like something something the honey will be sweet for awhile #and something something the rose wont forget #idk again for some reason this entire weekend my thoughts just arent verbalizing 😞#this weekend was just one of the ones where my symptoms be symptoming and it made everything so exhausting iykwim #anyway again v sorry about taking so long 😰 it was just a me thing #adhd + depression symptoms be brutal yk
