sorry i've been mia i was busy rizzing up the kaeya and diluc ais. anyways imagine reverse isekai with ur main. i personally would have a blast being able to talk about minecraft and mystery flesh pit national park and warrior cats with people who do not even have the internet.

aside from the fact that showing them all the weird and obscure shit in our world would make them lose their minds (speaking of nobody tell them about organized religion. barbatos is surprised ppl follow him after a few hundred years of no contact well look at this right here-) they’d be fascinated with how you control them.

i imagine they wouldn’t appear in game, and you couldn’t like use them for anything. makes logical sense to me.

if you’re like me and struggle to form teams at all, let alone ones without your One Good Built Character, they’re borderline going to be apologetic at seeing how you struggle. part of them is proud they’re so needed, but the other part is sort of sad.

i literally only run teams w/o kazuha for the abyss because his playstyle and the team i run for everything else is so ingrained in my head. i genuinely struggle if i don’t have an anemo character on my team and always fumble for a while if it doesn’t have kaz because it’s like i forget i don’t have him. it’s a problem—

if you’re not dependent on a single element like i am, they love seeing you work around them. it’s simple, you explain, swapping to an alternate team, and they watch in awe at how easily you adapt to change. they marvel at reactions they haven’t seen, at how much this new team differs from the one with them in it.

if you try and show them how to, they’ll immediately insist that they’re fine watching, that they wouldn’t dare touch such a holy object or manipulate teyvat in your stead.

for some, this is true. for others, they’ll cave with enough pressure.

itto treats your controls with the most delicate care, very gentle with everything as to not break it. not really prone to gamer rage, more so just “your grace, i can’t figure this out :(“ and watching over your shoulder as he promises “ok, i’ve got it this time, swear!” he doesn’t, but the smile on your face as you watch him die for the nth time soothes any anger he feels. refuses to kill rifthounds btw.

mona doesn’t know anything. you could tell her sixteen times how to access the inventory and she’s still asking you which button it is. don’t tell her about the wishing system she’ll quite literally lose her shit. she doesn’t understand the value of items like dream solvent but refuses to spend even a single coin of your mora or your food. collects her own ingredients and keeps track to cook her own food because “i wouldn’t want anyone else touching what’s mine.” pls tell her it’s ok and losing some of your 2k sweet flowers isn’t the end of the world.

ayato wouldn’t directly play, but he does sit beside you and offer semi-functional ideas. “run a team with x y z characters,” “fight this boss without the element it’s vulnerable to/full physical damage,” “take on this enemy without a healer,” etc etc. he likes seeing you solve problems, and likes watching you explore. if you have low mora he’s incredibly confused, but doesn’t comment on it once he sees how much it is to level a talent or ascend someone. if you have like 7mil mora and go “why do i have so little :(“ he’s asking a few more questions, but overall is silent about it. you don’t have a job in teyvat, and get most of your money from chests or leylines. it makes sense you guys would view mora differently.

alhaitham doesn’t touch your device, but kaveh (yes he isn’t out at time of writing no i didn’t ask) could be convinced into exploring a bit. he refuses to engage in combat and always uses his glider, never dropping more than a second or two at a time. panicks if your characters get hurt at all and either runs to a statue of the seven (give him time, he forgets he can teleport) or triggers your healers skill. if you run a character that has hp drain he’s flipping his shit and either demanding to know how to change the team so they don’t get hurt or runs them and three separate characters. loses his shit when you tell him about the teapot. that’s all he does now lmao.

zhongli will tap at stuff a bit, get a hold of the general game, and then just. not play. you tell him he can do commissions if he wants or run domains and he shakes his head, “i will not interfere with a world i don’t own.” so silly. doesn’t understand why shops don’t give you stuff for free. speculates on how monsters dying gives you mora. refers to everything by their full names no matter what silly nicknames you have for anything. if you have a well-decorated teapot/generally take care to plant stuff or collect realm bounties or similar, he’s happy. if you mostly neglect it, he’s asking why. it’s an adeptal art, and he needs to know if it isn’t satisfactory.

yae would love to manipulate a world of her own, but the knowledge that the world you control is real and has real actions is a bit too much. yelan asks to see, but only because she wants to know what you’re on about when you talk about lag, ping, or hitting the wrong button. finds it funny even gods can mess up. yanfei fusses over whether she should even be allowed because of like divine right to rule and whether her interference counts as idolatry since she’d technically be playing god. you let her worry about it in the corner and don’t ask questions about where she pulled that giant book of law from.

if you allow him to, venti sits in your lap while you play. he’s very much just a guy that’ll sit with you and maybe play his lyre if you’re getting frustrated, and adores the ingame soundtrack. give him youtube and point him in the direction of the ost and he’ll obsess over it. within a week he has everything memorized and has composed at least three ballads about ‘the song of the heavens’. wont actually do anything directly, but if you’re running abyss and ask him for suggestions on fun team comps, he’s already got ideas. is a bit unnerved at first if he recognizes some of the people on screen, but rationalizes it quickly enough. if you’re like me and leave your characters sitting at a bench or table before logging off, he insists you sit them in the statue in mond.

neither childe or scara even entertain the idea that they’d be allowed to use your device, and just kinda watches from the side. scara laughs a bit if you get hit by an enemy. childe asks about what his build is prior to his vanishing and probably studies meta and like crit ratios and stuff (no i don’t know what meta qualifies as yes i’m just sayin shit). xiao’s worried his karma could infect through the screen, and wouldn’t dare suggest anything. if you’re doing it, it’s good, if you’re not, you have a reason. ask for his opinion and he’ll bluescreen.

They can’t sing and their entire job is singing, so people are gonna dunk on them. We’re not at a third grade choir recital where it’s okay if little Susie can’t hold the notes in her solo. Idk how old you are but in the adult world, if you can’t do your job well, then you get fired. Or at least reprimanded, put on probation to see if you can improve, etc. All the actually talented people in the music industry busting their ass to prove they’re worth enough attention to pay some bills and these girls think that they can go on one of the biggest and most exclusive stages and we’re going to praise them for being able to get the crowd to jump around to their backing track? There are no consolation prizes in the real world and especially not in the music industry. This is such an obnoxious and immature take and it’s the reason why kpop is such trash now. Because instead of holding these companies accountable for debuting and promoting girls completely ill prepared or even a little bit ready for the world stage by not supporting their artists (the only message they’ll get because only once they start losing money over this will Hybe care), yall make posts like this defending them.

They SUCK. Pure and simple. Lying to yourself and others saying their vocals were good/fine (gaslighting at its finest; as if we can’t fucking HEAR them ourselves and need someone to tell us if they’re okay) is not helping them or anyone else. Kpop is showing every day that it was a fun little moment back during covid when we were all inside and saw kpoppies having fun and wanted in, but it’s not anything to pay attention to seriously. I ate some Popeyes the other day, and it’s fast food so I don’t expect it to be the best, but that shit was bland and unseasoned and obviously fried in super old oil. And that’s like the third time in as many months that’s happened. I had zero fun eating it so guess what? I’m probably not going to eat at Popeyes for a very long time, if ever again, because three times isn’t just a mistake: it’s a habit.

Part of the reason this backlash is so intense and ppl are going IN on them is because this isn’t just one performance that wasn’t great. Not even like two months ago they were singing live and it was garbage. And okay, maybe it’s a rough season but this shit happened last year as well!!! Again, once maybe twice, we can forgive, but this is strike fucking three. And Sakura’s response didn’t express any reflection or promise to grow but rather a dismissive, “our goal was to entertain so whatever get over it you weren’t other anyway” as if that’s acceptable for an artist!

Imagine Beyonce having a bad performance (hard to imagine I know, but let’s pretend we’re in hell) and her response being that! And sure since it’s her we may forgive her, but if every time she stepped on stage she was giving lack luster performances, we start to come for that crown! Bad performers don’t get praise! Some of the biggest artists in America have been booed at some point in their career. Mostly in the beginning but still. And guess what they did? They got better. Imagine saying you booed a young Beyonce before she became the biggest and best performer on the planet! And did those girls cry about it? Nope. They went to practice and got so good no one would ever think to boo them again. When Dua Lipa went viral for a really shitty performance, did she cry how unfair it was ppl expected her to dance well while she sang? Nope, she got in the studio and put in the work and is now a solid performer.

If I listen to you, I’d have to accept the idea that mediocrity deserves reward. Mediocrity deserves praise. Mediocrity deserves recognition and respect. And idk what world you live in, but in the world I do, mediocrity is good for background noise at best, but not praise. Not getting invited to Coachella. Not getting defended when they mess up. Where I come from, talent and excellence is praised.

I feel like that’s been the biggest takeaway from these modern kpoppies; they’re constantly trying to defend praising mediocrity and then looking surprised when normal people tell them that’s not normal behavior.

I have commitment issues when it comes to hairstyles bc it’s so hard to know if you’re going to like it or not before you actually get it done to you, so I have to be absolutely sure.

And that’s only half the battle because then now it’s a matter of time and money and someone else’s time also, considering I usually get driven to my hair place. And now with covid, it’s an even bigger inconvenience.

Off track though, I keep glowing up and even though I could definitely look better still, I do generally look pretty decent now all the time. And so, I get it if he has recognized the glow up and appreciates it.

rio’s parents died when she was very young, and she got into the foster system after her extended family realised they didn’t have the resources to take care of her. rio didn’t mind at all, she always felt like the odd-one out in her family anyway, and she wasn’t given much notice save for a few pats on the head

there was always something that didn’t work out with her foster families. maybe they just couldn’t take care of her anymore, maybe she wasn’t the right fit, maybe it just got too much -- but from about 9 years old until she was eighteen, she moved from foster family to foster family

rio gained a love for the colour yellow after one of her foster mothers gave her this yellow coat to wear so she could always spot her in a crowd. bc rio was always zooming around, excited to see something, moving way too fast

and then rio gained a love for driving bc of another set of foster parents who took her to the town drag-race a lot and got her into NASCAR basically and she also helped the father tinker with the old model cars

but with everything, rio just wanted to see how fast she could do. she learned how to do EVERYTHING on wheels since she wasn’t permitted to drive yet

when she was 13, she got stuck with a negligent foster family. she began to feel invisible again and useless and worthless, so when the older kids at school offered to teach her to drive (she wouldn’t stop talking about it) she JUMPED at the opportunity

they taught her the basics and it was like second-nature for rio, she practised with those kids every day after school. then it turned out that they were just training her to help them with a string of robberies around town. she went through with a few of them, especially since they stuffed jewellery and money in her hands like “here see this is a good thing you get all this stuff”

but she couldn’t handle all the violence that went with it. eventually, she told the police -- and she was let off with a warning.

the foster family gave her up, and she moved to a bigger home, where she was even less noticed. but she found a friend. someone who finally believed in her, and together they built up their dreams for their own lives. she made even more friends. she befriended the librarian at school by stacking books back on the shelves and cleaning messes. the librarian helped her do her research. 

how could she drive fast cars for a living? how could she become a real racer?

and in all that research, she found out about: lincoln mccaffee. a rookie back then, but going faster than anyone she’d ever seen. the guy was breaking records! rio wanted to be exactly like him. so the librarian helped her. she found out how to ge ther license, what age she had to be, how she could get her start -- all the local races, all the jobs she could do while she was still 14. 

she started working to save money to get her first car, and to get into racing school. and she did it !! by the time she was 17, she got all the licenses she’d needed, she’d done the hours on the tracks she’d paid all her money for, she’d woken up in the early hours of the morning just so she’d have time --

because even then she still felt invisible. no one saw her, no one cared for her, no one thought she could do it. 

and then it was finally time to do her first race. and there in the pit, waiting to get into her car, looking around at everyone else around her -- hard-faced, weathered, completely unlike the soft, baby-face everyone else told her she had. the tall guys who looked at her like maybe she was lost. the girls who pulled similar faces, rolling her eyes or ignoring her. 

rio ditched the race. it was a rally, and just before the gates closed, she hopped into her car and drove away. she dealt with the penalties. she dealt with the shame. and try as she would -- she still couldn’t do it.

so she forgot all about racing. she converted her beloved car into something more common, though the yellow paint-work still stayed the same. she focused on graduating, and she did so with honours. she got out of the group home as soon as she was 18. she chose physiotherapy as a career. and when she realised she could get out of studying even faster -- she decided she was happy with being a physiotherapist assistant. 

the only job offered to her after graduation was in some small town in maine, so she moved all her stuff to go there.

dorothea and fawley were part of a circus, and thus, lil benjy was raised in a circus !! how cute.

needless to say he was raised in a very nontraditional setting, like, homeboy was homeschooled bc they were literally always travelling, around the country and once or twice out of country.

despite that, he never doubted that his circus family didn’t love him or anything like ?? yeah he never called his ‘parents’ mom or dad, but that’s bc it was like...everyone was his parent.

dorothea and fawley told benjy that his name will never define him, and he could be anyone or anything he wants to be.

this caused a tiny benjy to be CONSTANTLY changing his name. like, almost everyday he’d just declare a new name and everybody in the circus would call him that specific name. even when he did acts, he’d go by a different name every single time

this carried onto adulthood and benjy still doesn’t tell people his real name very often. sometimes they’re sort of normal names n other times they’re fucking bizarre.

when he was seven he declared his name was ‘sock’ for an entire month.

grew up doing a buncha odd lil jobs and roles in the circus, from being a lil handyman like fawley to being a magician’s assistant like dorothea. t’was a lil tiny animal tamer (before the circus stopped using animals in their acts because we don’t stan circuses like that no we do NOT) at some point but reeeaaally liked tightrope walking and things as such

also tried his hand at fire-throwing/etc. etc. but the like eighteen (minor!) burn scars across his body will tell u that it was not for him and he gave it up to pursue knife throwing tricks and juggling

wasn’t rly ever around ppl his own age, also never had a smartphone before he was like eighteen or so--he’s not old fashioned but he can definitely be behind on the times

this came as a shock to everybody involved, honestly, though tbh ? benjy didn’t care that much that he had parents who weren’t the circus, but that’s bc of his entire upbringing.

either way his birth parents wanted to like. y’know. meet their delinquent biological son and when they did they were like ‘woah woah woah wtf ur in a circus’ and he was like haha yeah

n that was...sort of it, for a while. benjy was 18, had his GED, n wasn’t planning on going to college at all.

the circus was still traveling, the world was all right, etc. etc, benjy maintained contact with his bio parents bc it was Polite to do

and then the circus burned down! somebody did a flaming knife trick when they weren’t supposed to and, long story short--the entire circus went up in flames. there were no victims, no worries, but their entire livelihood was gone and they were all effectively displaced.

when his Rich Biological Parents found out about benjy’s newfound predicament that he 100% was not responsible for whatsoever, they were like . . . . listen. we’ve got a Reputation to uphold, but we’ll send you to college.

Wow I am v tired, as always. We just started our neuro block, we are 3 days in, and I am already drowning. For the first time we have a crap ton of mandatory classes which is ass but I guess the bright side is I can be really productive on campus! But I have to pack my lunch now which is annoying bc I am v poor after spending money to book AirBnBs for spring break in April

Anyway also I fucked up my knee bc it was hurting and then I ran a 5K on it, and now it is just PAIN whenever I walk/sit too long/stand/etc. Which is annoying bc I am feeling fat AF and I can’t exercise, and I stress ate tonight, and I ate a lot last weekend when my parents came to visit. But at least I saw my dog <3 I miss her so much. Miss Bella :(

My friends are all going thru rough times but I am so stressed and tired that it is hard for me to deal with so I noticed I’ve been shutting off a bit. I act normal around ppl but at home I am tired and fatigued and irritable. Hoping that and my overeating is PMS, it’s about that time

That’s before I knew how late our semester goes and that the 2 weeks was mandatory :( If I go out of town they might make me choose a different project with a different mentor but I REAALLLYYY like the one I have :( :( And the mentor is awesome with a really good track record for getting med students published. So like ahhh what do I do. I figure I won’t bring it up until he officially matches on 3/15 and I know his schedule haha :( And he’s been worried about me not prioritizing him and he’s been lonely back at school since his off-campus rotations ended and he’s back for his capstone. He doesn’t like his school or the area and doesn’t have many friends up there :( so things are just shitty for him and i feel bad especially bc this vacation news is going to make him really upset. but she was 17 going on 18 had no skills, barely graduated hs and has like 1 friend probably sooo

to sum it up, she worked day and night (literally, in the day on music in the studio and at night in the strip club) to get her EP out which gained her more traction (titled UR after it’s lead-off track) during this time she had an affair with her manager who was a married woman, but she rlly cared about roxy and roxy cared about her?? they kinda loved each other romantic stylez?? but it was still rlly ugly in the public eye so when she signed to the big label she parted ways w/ her old manager

now she’s living in LA, fortunate enough to be a full time musician with a highly anticipated debut album

Tim Burton and race: A critical approach by a life long white fan-girl

This is an old thing I wrote back in October back when Burton made some not so sensitive comments about diversity. It’s been lying in my box forever and though times have already changed so much since Halloween, I think my argument deserves to at least be shared. If you have anything to add or talk about it with me, feel free to talk to me in my inbox or message me with your thoughts.

--------------------------------------- From October 2016, three weeks before Doomsday or so

For those who don’t know, Burton basically said in an interview about Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, that he gets angry at people trying to “force” diversity into his casts. The only black guy in sight of his new film is Samuel L. Jackson…as a villain. Combined that with his comments about how he thought Brady Bunch was offensive for it’s “PC thing” and “they don’t force white ppl in blaxploitation movies dur it’s fair”, and let’s just say people aren’t happy with him...Burton being such a big artistic force in the goth fandom it reinstates a problem I see a lot with goth-subculture and that’s a lack of recognition to the gothic people of color. Even though I’ve met black Goths, Hispanic Goths, Indian Goths, Asian Goths and so on who love the same things I do, they’re never portrayed in the media as much as the practically undead zombie girls like Lydia Deetz (and yes I know that pale skin is kind of a character design thing rather than exclusion, but you know what I mean). Goth and horror are a sort of unifying subculture. Death and uncomfortable subject matter is present in every culture and spoken in every language. It connects us all, from wanting to share that cultural significance with the rest of the world, to simply giving people who don’t have that much of an ethnic or cultural identity a place to be with others like you. Simply put: it’s a subculture.

So there’s the fact that not wanted to be more inclusive is troublesome but I think it can be argued with. Timmy isn’t a studio, he’s a man. He can make a movie about whoever he wants. As a feminist I’m actually kinda impressed by how well he can direct movies about women and just female characters in general.

However, Burton hasn’t always had the best track record of diverse roles. If his casts aren’t 90% wonderbread, he has this really bad 80s habit of shockingly blunt racism in an otherwise modern and progressive film.

There have been moments where he proved this wrong, such as in Mars Attacks

his really old Hansel and Gretel film

and Batman

but then there’s this scene which I always found uncomfortable in Beetlejuice

this line from The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy

And most potently of all, as it is one of my favorite Tim Burton movies, Toshiaki from Frankenweenie: 

Burton’s assertion is that diverse casts are not always necessary for whatever film he was making, especially when they’re period pieces. But let’s be real here, aside from Corpse Bride and Sweeney Todd, when has a Tim Burton film ever harkened to one specific part of the world or culture? Pretty much never, so his argument, which amounts to the tired “forced diversity” excuse, is really weak.

And yet, I don’t think Burton is trying to be offensive or is truly hateful in anyway. If you ask me, he needs to realize that his vision isn’t just his anymore.

What I mean is, I wouldn’t call Tim a racist in the sense that he actively hates anyone. I’m saying that if he is racist, it’s because he doesn’t understand the issue with diversity. Burton unknowingly does write with a culture in mind, and that culture is the one he grew up in: Middle-class white Suburbia where people were shallow and toxic to things outside of the norm. 

Burton’s best films always feel like they’re written from the heart. That’s because he understands what he’s a fanboy of and knows how to put it in his words. If there is one unfortunate trait Burton has laying around from his life in Burbank, it’s that as forward thinking as he may want to be or thinks he is, he doesn’t understand what it means to be a non-white person dealing with his problems. He doesn’t understand why it’s a big deal because race seems not to matter to him personally, so the all-white-casting getting called out doesn’t seem so much like a concern but more of a nitpick to him.

 And again, the man makes movies based on the stuff which influenced him as a kid. Those movies were not dark fantasy novels or children’s books (which is one reason for why I have such a problem with people handing him those movies because his name is on Nightmare Before Christmas). Burton grew up on old horror/B-movies dating back to the 20s. These were movies that were entirely based on mood and emotion, not really on logic, and you see that carry into his own work a lot.

I don’t wanna dig back into 90s Tim Burton to find any evidence when for all I know, he’s probably changed his opinion, but if his weird intro to “House of Wax” is any indicator I think he idolizes these movies way too much. He sees the best parts of them and wants to make his own films like that, without questioning all the implications behind his favorite films that he never thought about because he wasn’t one the receiving end of a joke.

This relates back to Frankenweenie and my honest to god theory as to why Toshiaki…is Toshiaki.

Toshiaki feels like he wasn’t supposed to be offensive but is because of what role he served for the story. The kids in Victor’s class are parodies of horror movie staples. Nassor is a parody of Boris Karloff cause his pet is a mummy and the same logic is applied to Toshiaki: He’s the kid who brings back a Kaiju, so he’s Japanese and has the hokey mannerisms associated with the bad Godzilla dubs from the 50s-70s. Problem is the roles these background characters fill is still an antagonistic role to our main character, or at least an obstacle. Add that Toshiaki’s accent, attitude, intelligence, perfectionism and you got a prime example of what were you thinking? Unlike Oogie Boogie, which I truly think was unintentional, this choice in writing and voice acting was bad and should have been thought over more.

Besides his whiteness and age, I think there’s another explanation for his narrow-minded view. And it’s the thing that’s made a lot of Socially-impaired kids love Tim Burton stuff: he’s never been a people person. If you’ve ever read one of his biographies you’ll know that Burton had enough problems just trying to understand people as a whole. With the only world outside his own messed up one was a world where diversity doesn’t matter because no one around him would have that problem or were sad-but-true backwards depictions of a minority by a white majority.

Burton sees story first and doesn’t get why things like making sure the actors are one race or another is a problem because to him, it isn’t a problem. It’s the essence of what he loves and what he wants to say that takes center frame in a Burton movie. He’ll put himself and his own struggles as well as those influences onto his characters (just was Cesar from The Cabinet of Dr. Calligari and compare it to Edward Scissorhands). Because so many of the things that inspired him as a kid starred predominantly white guys, he doesn’t think it’s failed because what he’s sees as successful is right up there on screen. Burton’s guilty of what a lot of white people do: not considering what it means to want your culture properly represented or portrayed in a film.

I truly don’t think Tim Burton meant to sound as backwards as he did or meant to hurt so many people. But the fact is, he did and it would be great if he realizes his mistake and says some form of apology. He should know that saying there’s a time and place for diversity is not only insensitive but very close-minded, especially when you don’t bother to explain yourself with dignity.

In every other sense, Burton seems like a mostly cool guy to talk to, a very-down-to-earth guy all considering. I hope that he somehow talks about this with people. He shouldn’t demand apologies, but if he gives people the chance to speak that’d be reason enough to at least call him responsible for his actions.

So can I(or you) still like Tim Burton’s movies, death-of-the-author not withstanding?:

Absolutely.

Burton and his work are flawed. I think there’s merit to a lot of it, but I’m not gonna act like it doesn’t have those problems nor defend them. I’ll celebrate everything else I love about Burtonfandom and advocate for more inclusion and better behavior from one of my favorite filmakers/directors.

We should be able to talk about if a filmmaker is being an ass or not like adults, not children. One ugly trend I’ve seen on tumblr is for people to skim someone’s blog, see a couple things they like, then make an assumption about that person based on what they geek about, even going so far as to denounce their opinion or say they are just as bad as the thing they like. Yeah, sometimes what people like/watch is saying about them, but that’s no reason to go into a blame game and acting so rude. I personally don’t care for Nostalgia Critic, but if I went around declaring everyone who liked it was a money-grubbing sexist jerk cause I think he is, I guess I’d have to denounce a lot of my friends who deserve to keep their opinion as I deserve to keep mine.

I want people to talk about Burton’s stupid little comment, but I don’t want a witch-hunt of fandoms to start by association. We should save rabid Burton hating and witch-hunting when it turns out the man is actually Mel Gibson living a double life.

HYYH BeiJing Live and connection to Burn The Stage

I’ll discuss why i think the incident in Beijing’s live is linked to the birth of Burn The Stage

So from all the fan accounts I've seen regarding july 23 2016 HYYH Beijing live, we can sum them up to:

1. RM fell ill; through BH's announcement he suffered a heat stroke and the company? decided to not let him back onto stage and proper medical care should come in first

2. Due to a loss of member mid performance, no one else in the team was able to fill RM's spot so part of the performance was lacking due to missing part. and BH / BTS did not seem to have a backup plan in case a member fell ill.

3. During the concert at one point the venue had a blackout (screen + lighting for 30 mins)

4. Venue also had very poor sound system so there was a lot of audio problem as well 

5. Weather was humid and it was an open arena 

6. Fans claimed poor fan/idol interaction, idols facial expression weren't well. Some ex-fans felt they were not respected and decided to leave the fandom 

7. Concert was cut short it was suppose to feature 26 tracks but in stead they only did 11 and the concert ended in an hour and half with a 30 min time frame where the venue wasn't even functioning 

8. Afterwards, fans sent their frustration towards the event holder and BH 

9. Couple days later, each member posted weibo selfies on BH's official china weibo account 

10. Fans demanded that BH should take responsibility and not let the idols themselves become their shield for their failure to put on a proper concert. Some ex-fans says the idol themselves are fakers because during the concert they showed poopy face and even worse expressions when the handshake event was held. the same idol was pointed out multiple times by different anonymous poster that he had the worst facial expression

11. The event holder said in their letter of apology, they'll send verified ticket holder photo card of BTS as a form of apology but apparently u have to pay ur own postage fee. 

12. Many fans cried at the end maybe due to sadness or frustration who knows?

Now....from a bystander POV...no comment actually

XD o wait I do have comments.. hmm I think the boys weren't  happy not because they belittle Chinese fans.. which some people claim because of the tension between Korea and China due to the installation of ZADD (I think that’s what it’s called) but due to the fact of how poorly the event organizer arranged the concert. Honestly, all the mishap will really annoy anyone plus on top of the  weather.. and the fact their teamie fell ill i think it puts alot of burden on the performer. Maybe if they were better at hiding their feeling or put on that professional smile then people wouldn't complain but... yeah. 

For example, if we look at a more recent event the Lotte Concert held back in June 2018 It’s similar situation happening again. Some people said did you not see how JJK look like he was so done and the members weren’t enjoying their performance, etc? Well the Lotte concert was a mess too. They got interrupted mid way. Asked to restart because, there are still audiences entering the arena. Then the stage for airplane didn’t get set up properly, the mic stand props were not in place. RM had to go grab it from the side mid routine. And then the staff asked them to cut their performance short. You could tell from some member's facial expression they weren't happy but, i don’t think it's due to the fans but to the situation and the lack of respect for performers in general. Now you can argue that the other groups who were there didn’t show a I’m so done face. Who knows? maybe some people are just better at hiding their discontent and others not so much, and we all know JJK is not someone who can hide his emotions well, to borrow many ppl’s word “that boy is like an open book” 

Now.. unto some .. common practice in china..so.. as u all know or don’t know 

TO DO BUSINESS IN CHINA! U HAVE TO HAVE CHINESE TIES!

Yes...basically if u're a foreign company.. person who wants to do something in china you cannot just waltz in there and be like hey book me this venue i'm gonna hold a concert and sell tickets. No it doesn’t work like that. The way the Chinese government set up its policy to protect local business and industry is... if you want a piece of this market? well guess what, you gotta work with the chinese locals. This is why u always see  X company along with some Chinese company whenever they venture into china. Correct me if i'm wrong on my international.. business knowledge department but i'm pretty sure i’m not too far off. So yeah..here comes the problem..some.. event holders..are SHADY AS HELLLi mean even Chinese artist could sometimes get scammed by the event holders if they ended up partnering with the wrong people and as much as i wanna say China is developing, improving, becoming better but.. to be honest..>.> <.< there's still a lot of stuff we're lacking especially when it comes to ethical.. business attitude.. and.. yeah ethics.....  let's not be reminded of how eggs can be made out of plastic and be sold on the market..or the poisonous baby powder/ milk incident..or small business food delivery .. yeah so many stories... Anyways i think when BTS held their concert in Nanjing the event holder was actually good but, the Beijing one..questionable..equipment failure is just i dunno lack of professionalism in my opinion? 

K now..about the fans complaining about BH and BH announcing why the concert ended early and the boys posting on weibo...

I see these type of scenario very often from various idols.

Incident A happens, in this case,  idol, the company's asset fell ill. 

Situation A: the show must go on !!!

Reaction A. idol still performs  B. the company ask the idol to put their health first and stops the show. Some fans feel they didn’t get their worth of content for the amount of money they spent for this trip others agree with the company that health takes priority. And some feels like mishap happens but you should have better PR management to try to resolve the discontent. Now maybe many years later something controversial comes up. Fan goes: Look at company A forcing their idol to keep performing when their health is in jeopardy, what blood sucking vampire evil company, inhuman working environment. They’re slaves for the company! Sometimes these are true accusation. 

Or look at company A compare to company B they let their idols take break they care about their health etc etc, they’re so good! 

Anyways both side of the argument will give u different stories but no one really knows the real truth and this is why... i think burn the stage came about. 

Because if you think about it, BH has always included lots of backstage clips for the fans to see, episodes, bombs, contents that comes with dvd etc etc etc but we usually see the before and after. But not the during. However, What did burn the stage showed us? they showed us the during portion Bts preparing for the contents, their situation during performance, the hectic transition backstage during lives. They even said it themselves we want to show more of us what we do and what goes on. Something even more revealing, even though we've always shared to our fans what's happening but we still don’t show a lot of the things because we choose not to. But this one we will show more maybe not all but we will show more. And i think burn the stage is an answer to the event that happened in Beijing. Because at some point some fans even doubted BTS did rehearsal for the show and just showed some before concert selfie and that's why all these falling ill, costume too warm, heat stroke, and technical difficulty happened.

Let's be honest no matter what the company or the boys themselves say, without video record ppl can always debunk them however they want. People can put words in their mouth and even with video ppl can still put words into other ppl's mouth but at least u have something physical to show for people to just see hopefully through an untainted lens. 

In burn the stage, we see what happened to kookie he also had a heatstroke/ lack of oxygen due to high altitude and the intensity of their live. He , himself decided that he wanted to keep performing because he didn't want to disappoint the fans because it could be the last time they get to see their fans since they don’t know if they will be coming back. Maybe he’s always thought like this or all the backlash from Beijing made him realize this, or it’s a combination of both? But lets’ assume they know about the comments that C-Army said after the poor live in Beijing, I’m pretty sure it has impacted him in some way or another. And in way, probably a good one, mild one that puts his health at risk.

We also see the dilemma RM faces: to continue or to call it. We also hear RM mentioned about his incident in Beijing. He didn't say it specifically in his interview. All i remember was he said it was the first time the concert got cancelled because of me. 

I didn't know what he meant back then until i researched into the reason why BTS stopped posting posts for their Chinese army on weibo and i came across this concert account from fans. To be honest the sub at that part in Burn The Stage sounded like he had a mental break down and he couldn’t stand on stage so the concert got cancelled. But now i think it was mistranslated..the msg was probably more like this: In the past a concert was cancelled because of me. Because i also fell ill and i was afraid to stand on stage again fearing that the same thing would happen again and that criticism might flood to the company and the group like last time. Who knows? I need someone to actually translate properly..to sub properly..o yeah and the Chinese army were so loud to the point that even Soompi and Allkpop posted articles on the Beijing Concert mishap, though not in detail. It doesn't leave a good impression for the group.

When the idols apologize the fans atk the company, when the company puts a statement the fans still attack the company. Maybe if BH had a better PR department then many there would be less controversy but oh well, what’s done is done.

To me burn the stage was the boy and the company’s way to give answer, their reply. They don’t try to explain themselves away. They try to just show it, this is what we do, this is what happened, Interpret it the way u want but this is what it is. You want to know why sometimes we look awkward on stage? well because we just had a fight 10 mins before the show started. You wonder why Jin looked kinda funny with his interaction with V or no interaction at all? Well there's your answer. Want to know why a member looked really tired in a one of the performance? Well because they did 4 dance routine and a solo routine right after. Which all members commented that your’e crazy for doing something liek this. How do you even do it? That and burn the stage was a good marketing product to be honest. Ppl always want to know what's going on back stage. So in a way it tells the fans what is going on, it tells the media what is going on. 

This is how I feel about Burn the Stage. It's a very bangtanie thing. It is similar to Cypher if u think about it. They don’t make announcement towards their haters, they don’t try to say hey you don’t say this. It’s defamation. No, they answer you from their music, from their actions. It's just like how Kookie said, “Twitter has many harsh words sometimes i want to say something but i know i can't. Same thing like what RM said, “I want to be more truthful I don’t want to pretend but my role and identity doesn’t allow me to do something like that. But this is their answer. They're sharing their stories and lives to help others to let others see that we're just like you, we may have different lives but the problem and hardship we face isn't all that different,they may come in different forms , different delivery but in the end their core essence of the hardship is the same.

my 2009 vauxhall insignia was hit from behind sitting at a car park space in a supermarket,there is substantial amount of damage to the right hand arch right above the back wheel,the back bumper is also broken,it was hit that hard it was pushed onto the car park space in front of it,i believe what saved it from any further damage was the driver of the other car hit the wheel of my car which i guess cushioned the blow.i have went today and got estimates for the repair which is in the region of 2500 pounds though could be more as they have to put it on some sort of machine to see if the wheel alignment is of,the repair shops say what they will do is cut the arch out and put a new arch in and spray it but no matter what its never going to be the same.the reason they do it like this is because the whole back of my car runs to the front without any splits. Im not happy about this being done like this as this car today is worth around 10,000 pounds which i pay for and dont want it patched up,i would prefer if the other guys insurance wrote it off so that i can get an original car which i first had,is there anyway i can get this to be wrote of and claim it of the guys insurance,i have heard of depreciation money if my car has been hit but this is still not going to compensate me for my car being patched up. thanks""
