Have you ever played around with a very silly au just for yourself? Just for fun.

I have one, calling it Queen Bee Megatron. An au in which everything is like normal TFP, except Megatron gives birth to all the Eradicons, no sire involved. Drones in both a robotic and a biological sense, heh

Huh, now that made me tilt my head.

Especially since Whoooweee is eusocial insect biology fucking weird, and i mean that in a scientist way.

Especially since as you noted everything else is the same as TFP, meaning there's gotta be more wacky dacky biology at play here and because we're working with sentient mecha here

#cybertronian biology #like fun fact bees and ants aren't mindless bugs with a hive mind #they've simply got a very efficient communication system and have proven smarter than we typically think #ants are super cool as morphologically speaking they can have so much variety within a colony #plus the fact that their biological sexes work waaaay different than mammalian ones do #sorry bio nerd brain here #ask #especially though if with this au idea we're working off of the assumption that it's entirely asexual reproduction #because it could imply either these vehicobs are entirely genetically distinct from Megatron #or that at one point in his way earlier life he looked like them #plus there's the fact that drones in the robotic sense are waaaay different than drones in the biological sense #so those two things would mix together in an interesting way
