Some lovely stonewares just catalogued for our upcoming exhibition, these have a complete surprise attribution- based on the mark on one, we can link the other 2 to the same maker: once known as the ‘Chrysanthemum Group’ due to their pretty flower mark on the base, which has recently been identified as Charles Bourne, a Staffordshire porcelain maker of the 1820’s more usually seen making Coalport-like pretty flower-painted pieces often with lots of gold on a deep blue ground.
