found this neat Eagle Lock Co. Lock today (finally got permission to metal detect at my work:)) - it is likely from c. 1910 as that was the primary time that the section of property was used !!! this is probably my coolest find so far metal detecting!!

went into one of my favorite antique stores today and talked to the owner for a while and he says he’s gonna keep an eye out for an antique vanity and an area rug that matches my living room furniture :) yay community
#when i walked in he was like ‘oh hey! your partner was just in here a few days ago :)’#i was like Oh Cool Ha Ha#like i didnt want to be weird and be like Oh Actually We Broke Up Three Months Ago#like do i really need to be telling the guy who owns the antique store that…… obv joefferry didnt LOL#but anyway im really excited to hang up all my framed prints and decor and OHHH you guys#i bought a lot of vintage drawer pulls to replace the knobs on all my kitchen cabinets its gonna be sooooo cute#this is such a great apartment im so excited to live here to its full extent instead of it just being What Could Have Been Zone#my aunt was so funny she was like ‘make sure you change the locks when he leaves’#i was like pam he’s a failure to launch not a murderer

All my childhood items and physical memories stolen, my lover live from paris order cancelled, tiktok prolly getting shut down, having to go back to classes and having no free time again, my dad leaving after having him here like all weekend, ferris bueller taken off netflix, what am i allowed to have
#i can so clearly picture things and now theyre just gone#and like lota of it is silly like my hannah montana christmas doll and my stuffed animals but i know i prolly have cards from family members#who arent around anymore and like there was a straw hat my nana wore and like i think my dads old military uniform#my porcelain baby doll that ill prolly never find a replacement for#my kindergarden clothes and backpack and like idk if ill ever have kids but if i do i wont have those things to pass down#the antique sewing machine we managed to keep in the family forever that i first learned to sew on#OH MY GOD MY FUCKING VINTAGE DOLL HOUSE#i know there was a hamper of stuff of my moms#stuff my dad had for years all his tools#the bed my tata had for his entire adult life that then turned into my bed#the toychest my dad made me#i think aside from the tools like none of it really had any value it was just our stuff#how evil do u gotta be to steal someones like memories like that#ALSO HOW DID THE STORAGE PLACE ONLY CALL LIKE WEEK LATER BEING LIK3 DID U CHANGE UR LOCK#like no we did not and they said there wasnt anything they could do#we managed to keep that storage with no issues for like 12yrs and only like a month ago did it happen#im so upset
