The hostility y'all have towards Gwen and Hobie as a romantic ship is so unnecessary and embarrasing to watch.I understand other blk Spiderverse fans' discomfort with the them and Miles love triangle so this ain't directed at y'all but towards Hobie characterization ruiners and weirdass Gwen bashers.Like it dosen't take that much knowledge in punk to realize their dynamic is symbolism for the intertwienment of black people and transfem people in it(and especially black transfem people!)and that the Miles jealousy is quite literally the only bad element in it but that's his problem cause Gwen ain't his girlfriend so Hobie dosen't need anybody's except her permission to date her.Ghostpunk has been validated by the actual crew,who stated in an interview that the viewers can choose how 'deep' their relathionship goes i.e we're free to pick wether it's platonic or romantic and Hobie has more reason to be in love with Gwen than he does any other Spiderperson with Miles being her only competition in that regard and it blows N*irpunk out of the water seeing as it relies on Hobie's and Gwen's personalities and stories,not just 'they both fight fascists,soulmates🥺🥺🥺!!!!' as an excuse to keep Noir relevant and not dive into Hobie's all poc comics cast or Gwen's femalecentric one(including woc!).As a punk afrolatina myself,shipping Hobie with the guy from the 20s who's a Variant of someone he called 'humbling' is more of a red flag and creepy than him dating a white trans girl-who dosen't have to be white.If y'all can come up with a million headcanons for the guys,i think you can make Gwen black biracial for a fixit and it's a no brainer to begin with even in a non-shipping context.Pipe down,Ghostpunk's better written than every live action Spiderman romance we've gotten and y'all always hate Punkflower too so don't @ me with that 'trying to be sensitive and careful' bullshit
