The narrative that Jared is a shit father because he goes to Hooters comes primarily from the msgrumpygills blog - in fact, if you google "jared padalecki hooters" her blog is one of the top results. This blog is also the source of a lot of anti-jared discourse, and that person is definitely not a jared fan (or a j2 shipper), although they self-describe as a former jared fan. They are pretty much an AA, anti-jared, anti-misha and like to twist everything that happens to show how terrible jared is and how comparatively great Jensen is, all while being wrong about a bunch of things due to not paying close attention to fandom anymore and believing whatever anons tell them as long as it fits their narrative.

However, the accusation that Jared is a shit father for going to Hooters is pretty ridiculous because for one, Jared is home in Austin with his kids almost all the time now, and there are plenty of days where he isn't seen publicly that he is probably spending with his kids (and there are plenty of social media pics of him with his kids). He also went to Hooters all of twice recently, and both times in the context of the Hooters restaurant being near another event that he was primarily attending (I believe nascar or ufc). Parents are allowed to attend events that aren't appropriate for kids a few times a month, it doesn't make them bad parents. And Jared has taken his kids to soccer games, and restaurants in Austin if we're going nitpick public appearances for proof of bad or good parenting.

I know I have seen that blog, that person is one of the most ridiculous and hypocritical hater ever. Most of their reasoning doesn't even make sense. They just hate Jared coz he is doing everything Jensen isn't. He is breaking all of their illusions and none of the things they predicted for him is coming true.

They were desperately hoping for Jare marriage to fail and Gen to leave him instead it's Jensen's marriage that seems to be in doldrums. They expected Jensen to hit big and get lead role immediately after SPN, they expected networks and studios to bid for Jensen. Instead, it was Jared who got the lead role even before SPN ended and there was bidding war for him. They were expecting Jensen to flourish but no such thing is happening, Jensen is a guest actor in ensemble OTT show, his movie got stalled and his prequel got mainly a negative response.

So they are just hating on Jared, classic case of Sour grapes.
