Jake made a face, looking over at Max with a small chuckle. “I honestly can’t picture you being a nuisance.” He admitted, giving him a small smile. “You never bothered me. Even when you were questioning my drink making prowess.” He promised, before scratching his head. “It was really good for the most part. I don’t know what I would have done without him. Even when he was driving me crazy. It was just really nice growing up with someone that would always be there for me.” He knew the more that he spoke about Jack that it was true and that his brother wouldn’t want him to be afraid of who he thought he might be. They both knew life was too short to hide. “I suppose you are right, I guess I’m making you share two Christmas memories but I like hearing about you, so you just have to deal with it.” He teased gently. “Are you good at ice skating then? I’ve been a few times myself but I certainly wouldn’t say that I’m any good at it.” He was relieved when Max didn’t react too much when he took his hand. He returned the squeeze with a small smile before following his other hand and nodding. “Yeah, let’s go see what we find.”

Max’s heart fluttered as Jake mentioned that he didn’t see him as a nuisance, he was so used to everyone seeing him as an inconvenience that it was nice to hear that there was someone who saw him as more than that. Max hoped that would never change, that Jake would never grow tired of him like everyone else in his life always seemed to. “Really!?” He asked furrowing his brow in surprise. “Even I have to admit I was being a bit of a prat.” Max offered with an apologetic smile. His smile widened as Jake spoke about his brother “That sounds incredible, I’m glad you have someone like that in your life. You two are lucky to have each other.” Max shrugged when Jake said he liked hearing about him. “I’m not that interesting honesty. I’ve been called many things; uptight, pretentious, entitled... a nuisance” He winced slightly “but interesting is not one of them. You on the other hand, never cease to surprise me, and realize you do owe me another story now right?” He added with a smirk. “I’m not an Olympian or anything but I can certainly hold my own on the ice. Maybe we’ll have to go together sometime, I’m sure with some practice you’ll be absolutely brilliant.” He assured Jake warmly. Max couldn’t help the massive grin that crossed his lips as the other man agreed to go look at lights with him. He lead the way cherishing the way their hands seemed to fit so well together. It wasn’t long before they came upon a neighborhood absolutely aglow with Christmas lights. “Wow!” He let out a breath looking over at Jake, “Even more brilliant than I anticipated.”

“That’s just because your cheekiness finally has a target.” Will smirked. He ran his hand down his chest, giving him a look. “Trust me, I have noticed that you are quite keen on giving, it is not something that I’m complaining about.” He bit down on his lip as he listened to the sounds that Dom was making, knowing he would do all he could to keep him making those sounds.  He raised his brow with a small smirk as he looked at Dom. “Oh yeah, baby? Is that a promise? You’ll make sure I finish?” He teased, running his tongue down the curve of his neck before nipping down on the pulse point. He let out a soft chuckle as Dom ripped his shirt off, helping him get the rest of the fabric out of the way, flexing his muscles as his lover traced over them before bringing his mouth to his and kissing him deeply. “Should we go to the bedroom or you want to stay out here?”

“You’re not wrong.” Dom quipped fondly. A shiver of pleasure ran through his body as Will’s hand ran down his chest his skin practically vibrating with pleasure and desire. Dom smiled wickedly “Of course babe, you know I *always* make sure you finish.” He bit his lip and closed his eyes, tilting his head back in ecstasy as his lovers tongue danced expertly along his skin, “God, you’re so damn amazing.” Dom managed amongst a symphony of pleasurable moans. Dom smiled into the kiss savoring the way Will’s mouth felt against his, never wanting the moment to end.  “I...” Dom started before placing another quick kiss against Will’s lips. “I’m not sure I have the patience to take this to the bedroom.” He admitted his eyes alight with passion as he took in the sight of the man he loved in front of him. “I want you now William!” Dom practically growled pushing him onto the nearby couch and straddling him passionately.

Iris couldn’t help but smile when Nate did. He always gave her the most reassuring feeling of safety, like no matter what happened, they would be okay. She would be okay. Iris kissed his cheek gently as he lowered his head, smiling as she started to look around the room. “Hmmm, maybe the staircase first. I feel like it will take longer.” She offered, moving to start looking through some of the bins of decorations.

Nate couldn’t help but smile fondly as Iris kissed him gently on the forehead. “That’s a great idea!” He said warmly “I think I have a box of garland and lights somewhere we can wrap around the bannister.” He said looking through boxes. “Ah here it is!” He said excitedly picking up one of the boxes and beginning to carry it towards the staircase. As he was carrying it the top came off the bin and it fell to the ground with a crash. “Oops, careful.” Nate offered with a sheepish chuckle.

“Famous radio DJ struck down by Christmas spirit.” Nico teased, shaking his head with a laugh. He clapped his hand down on Will’s shoulder as he spoke, listening to him until a small smirk crossed his lips. “You’re welcome. I’m glad you listened and it worked out. I don’t know how much I’ll hold it over your head, but your father...that’s a different story.” Nico walked over to the computer o check the inventory that he had. “Yeah, any time.” He nodded, grabbing a set of keys and bringing them over to his nephew. “Excited for the event? Bringing anyone special?”

“It would make one hell of a headline.” Will admitted with a chuckle. He had been terrified in the moment but now that he and his car had both survived he wasn’t above laughing at himself. Will cringed and looked over at his uncle “I hadn’t thought about that. Do we reeeealllly have to tell him?” He pleaded giving his uncle puppy dog eyes. “Thanks Uncle Nico, you’re a lifesaver!” He said as his uncle grabbed a set of keys. Will’s eyes lit up as Nico asked if he was bringing anyone to the event. “I am!” He said excitedly, his eyes lighting up at the thought of Mari. “Her name’s Mari and she’s absolutely incredible!” Will gushed. “I think you’d really like her.”

Luke fought the urge to roll his eyes at Andrew’s insistence that he was luckier, shaking his head slightly as he traced his thumb over cheeks before tracing along his jawbone. “Really? You think this was all just a set up?” He asked, letting out a low chuckle. He deepened the kiss as Andrew pressed his lips against his, moving his hands from his face down to his shoulders to pull him closer. “If it was a set up, they really did a fantastic job.” He murmured, kissing him again. “I suppose I should probably stop kissing you and take you out for some food. I’m pretty sure the fridge at home is empty.”

Andrew closed his eyes and tilted his head back in pleasure as Luke deepened their kiss. “Mmhmm” he murmured into their kiss not wanting it to end. Once the kiss did finally end Andrew took a moment to catch his breath before speaking. “That’s exactly what I’m saying. Best set-up ever.” He insisted smiling over at Luke affectionately. “Well you know I’m never one to turn down kisses but I am a sucker for a nice dinner out.” He quipped “So....where are you taking me?” Andrew asked with a smirk.

Dylan shook her head as Hunter smirked at her. He’d always been trouble but she couldn’t deny that she was certainly a sucker for it. She laughed softly, giving him a look. “I think I might cry if you told me you weren’t a big fan of those creative workouts.” She pointed out. She adjusted the plates in the display before looking up at him as he put his hand on his heart. She turned to grab the box that she had ready for him and handed it to him. “Fresh cream puffs. Just for you.”

“Well we wouldn’t want that now would we?” He quipped, a cocky smirk playing on his lips. He really did enjoy his time with Dylan. Not only was she sweet and generous but she wasn’t afraid to call him on his shit and keep him on his toes. His eyes widened as she told him what was in the box. “Just for me!?” Hunter closed his eyes, threw his head back, and practically moaned at the thought of her cream puffs. “You know me too well, you’ve learned my weakness.” He quipped playfully. “Seriously though Dyl, you spoil me. He nodded “I remember the feeling well.” He said sympathetically. “Not having to deal with Mason’s mood swings anymore certainly hasn’t hurt.” He admitted with a chuckle “but actually enjoying my job has been a very welcome change.” Dom said warmly. “Oh no, definitely not!” He said pulling a disgusted face “I’m sorry I know he’s you’re brother but he’s an ass and I couldn’t care less what he’s up to these days. No I was asking about you, and your mom, and the rest of the family. I’ve missed you all so much. Not only did i get my heart broken but suddenly I lost my support system as well. Loosing you all was definitely the worst part of the breakup honestly.” He admitted with a sad smile.

I can’t have my boyfriend stuck home all day in the snow worrying about me driving into the office.” He rubbed Dom’s side gently as he reached for his phone, waiting for the big reveal. He chuckled softly, kissing the male’s head before rolling to get out of the bed so that he could call into the office. He paced around the room as he spoke to his boss before hanging up and climbing back into bed with Dom. “I’m all yours for the day, love.”

Dom smiled contently as Luca rubbed his nose against his own reveling in their closeness. “How considerate.” he quipped fondly. Dom couldn’t help but pout when Luca left the bed. He knew that it was necessary for them to spend the day together but that didn’t mean he had to like it. Dom could feel the coldness of the man’s absence seep in almost instantly and pulled the covers in close around him. “Good!” Dom murmured contentedly enveloping them both in the covers and pulling Luca in close as he settled back into bed. “Can we go back to sleep and cuddle a little longer before we get up and actually start doing things? I just wanted to feel a bit more holly jolly myself.” He admitted, looking back up at the windows. Plus you never know the window does give you a chance to show off your artwork to a new demographic, I have a feeling you’ll gain at least a few new clients.” Dom shrugged with a smirk. “What can I say you’re very persuasive. You always know exactly what to say to convince me to go for it. Not that I need much convincing” he admitted sheepishly. “See!” Dom said animatedly “That’s exactly what I’m talking about.” He chuckled “We did want to get another matching tattoo, I’m just not sure what.” He said pursing his lips and furrowing his brow in thought.

She knew it wasn’t always the easiest for him to do. “Uh huh, in that case, I do think we need to get drunk and go through some of my dating profiles again. She looked up at him as he stepped back and started to arrange the lights for her. “I suppose we are aren’t we.” Andrew nodded with a smirk. “He certainly keeps me on my toes. He makes me feel alive in ways I didn’t even know were possible Sawyer!” He gushed fondly, his eyes aglow as he talked about his boyfriend. “That sounds like my kinda night.” Andrew said with a chuckle. “We could even invite Gabe if you’d like, I feel like he’d have some valuable insight to offer. Okay, okay you’re right.” He said with a laugh holding his hands up in mock defense “I won’t say another word.” He grabbed her phone from the arm of the couch “Ready?” He asked before snapping away going high and low and zooming in and out aiming for a wide variety of angles and options. “You look hot babe.” He assured her. “Take a look through them and make sure you’re happy with them before we get you untangled again.” He said handing her her phone.

He and Jonathan had been friends for a while but hearing the man compliment him made him feel things he hadn’t been expecting. Maybe Lola was right and it had just been too long since he had been on a proper date he thought trying to dismiss those feelings. “ I’m glad I could be of assistance then. You know, you are pretty attractive yourself.” Eli said trying, and failing, to sound nonchalant.

“Of course!” Eli assured Daisy warmly “There’s no one I’d rather go with.” He said smiling over at her fondly. “Oh good!” He said with a sigh of relief. “Absolutely!” He said unclasping the necklace and placing it tenderly around her neck, sliding it around carefully so the daisy was centered before pulling back and taking it in. “Perfect!” He said tilting his head with an affectionate smile.

Lola rolled her eyes. “Do you ever think about how different life would be if I was the older sibling?” She sighed, but she was just teasing. “Oh that’s awesome. I’m sure they are going to love that.” She shook her head, laughing softly when he asked what she had got them. “You think I can afford anything even close to that? You know not all of us are fancy detectives.” She teased. “No, I just painted them a picture of all of us.” She admitted, pulling out her phone and showing him the picture she was working on. “This is what happens when I have no money, you all get art.”

“I shudder at the thought!” Elijah teased with a chuckle as he shivered exaggeratedly. “I sure hope so.” He said with a hopeful shrug. “You say that like they’re not gonna absolutely love that Lo! That’s an incredible present. It’s certainly gonna put mine to shame.” He offered warmly. “You’re such a creative genius and your art is incredible Lola. Art is such an incredibly personal gift. You spent your time and effort creating a one of a kind masterpiece for the recipient. Way better than anything I could come up with.” Elijah assured her with a smile.

“I find that very hard to believe.” Will replied tilting his head slightly. “But I promise I’ll never stop looking at you this way.” He said smiling at her warmly before reaching forward and tenderly sweeping a stray strand of hair out her face letting his fingertips ghost across her cheek ever so slightly. “Of course, something tells me at the very least you’ll gain a bunch of new friends desperately trying to stay in your good graces .” He said with a chuckle referencing the many sets of eyes in the room trained intently on them. Will gazed down at her and placed his hands on her lower back swaying to the music. “You get used to it, at least you’ll never be alone.” He quipped with a shrug. “Thank you. I just talk to people for a living honestly.” He said dismissively. “You’re the one doing the really impressive work. You’re out here changing lives Mari.”

“I do.” Andrew confirmed with a nod and a lopsided smile “But to be fair has anyone ever not found you sexy?” He asked “My dad’s Jewish, and my mom’s Christian so I grew up celebrating both Christmas and Hanukkah. But I have always been partial to Christmas movies as well. There are far fewer movies about Hanukkah.” He offered with a chuckle. Andrew smiled as Gabe pulled him in close and relaxed in his embrace. “I wasn’t sure honestly.” Andrew admitted. “You strike me as a guy who’s used to getting what you want and you clearly could have had your pick from anyone in the bar. I guess I just don’t understand why you would choose me.” Andrew murmured softly as he turned around to look vulnerably into Gabe’s eyes.

“I mean, the facial hair is very sexy to be fair.” Will pointed out, looking over at him again. “But it’s hard the only reason I’m attracted to you. All of you is very attractive. Trust me.” He laughed, rolling his eyes slightly as he teased that it would be more of an excuse to spoil him. “I don’t know if it’s that much of an honor, but I am glad that we found each other worthy of spending time together.” He bit his lip as Dom raised his eyebrow. “I would hope so, especially after the texts that we’ve been exchanging. Most of them were rather risque after all.” Will lowered his eyes back to the menu, his foot moving under the table to press against Dom’s with a small smirk. “Margarita’s? Are you trying to get me drunk Mr. Russell?” He teased, though he knew he would gladly have a drink or two to help with his nerves. He looked at him when he said decisions were never his strong suit before reaching over and taking Dom’s hand and giving it a small squeeze. “Well, then I’m extra glad that you chose me.” He smirked, before looking back at the menu. “We could always order a bunch of things and share if that’s easier?”

“Good to know.” Dom said with a smirk “Because you’re pretty damn sexy yourself William.” He nodded as Will spoke. “I’m glad we found each other in general. You really are incredible.” Dom said smiling at Will fondly. His eyes burned with desire as their texts were mentioned “Oh there’s more where that came from, trust me.” He said seductively before smiling and pressing his foot gently back against Will’s. “Maybe a little…” Dom said feigning innocence “they really are wicked amazing though.” He offered. “Oh I assure you, choosing you was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made.” He assured him gazing into his eyes warmly and squeezing his hand back gently. “Really?” He asked his eyes lighting up at the suggestion. “That would be amazing actually!” Normally Dom’s indecisiveness was treated as a big inconvenience by those around him so the fact that William was willing to try something meant the world to him.

Alfie could feel how Nate withdrew slightly and he reached for his hand, giving it a squeeze. “You know if I could I would shout from the rooftop of the fire station that we are together.” He said softly, bringing his hand up to his lips and kissing it gently. “Well, I will give you full credit for the wrapping.” He promised. “That way if the wrapping is too good or too bad they won’t get the wrong idea.” He teased gently. He smirked when Nate said that he would be the sexiest present, He pulled him in, kissing him back with a smile. “I can’t risk doing anything that would get you transferred to a different house. I can’t have you running into dangerous situations unless I know I’m there to make sure you come back out.”

“I do.” Nate said nodding and squeezing his hand gently in return. He believed Alfie but that didn’t instantly make the situation any easier. “Well if you actually leave the wrapping to me I assure you no one will complain that the wrapping is too bad.” He teased back playfully. He felt the tension in his body completely dissipate as Alfie returned his kiss. “That’s fair.” Nate said “I do feel much safer knowing you’re there.” He admitted reaching up and caressing Alfie’s face gently. “I like knowing you’re there to rescue me if I ever needed it. Certainly makes things easier knowing I’m not going in alone.” Nate said gazing into his deep brown eyes.
