The more I think about it, the more I think the Big Bang Theory could've benefitted from another female main character. Even out the boys and girls, and give the girls another friend to round out their group.
I'm still leaning towards if Leonard had married a woman that Penny worked with. Imagine it, someone a little more like Penny, but whose into some of the same things Leonard's into. A girl to sort of balances out the girl group and gives us a girl into nerdy things.
Also, can someone explain to me why Sheldon, the one who hates change to the level he does, moved into Penny's old apartment when he and Amy moved in together? Leonard and Penny literally lived in both places before that, and yet instead of moving completely into Penny's place, like would make sense, four people had to move just so we could have Leonard and Penny living in the "main" apartment. It doesn't logically make sense.

whenever i say i hate dutch more than i do micah ppl r always thrown off by that but it's like. anything micah does, dutch does with this veneer of self righteousness. dutch is just as violent and bigoted but he hides it all under this false bravado.
and it's not even his betrayal to arthur and john, or the gang in general, it's the violent destruction he sews in his wake that he doesn't seem to care about - or even notice - that makes me hate him so much.
of course, he's also wildly more interesting to me than micah is. his rich history with characters i do love and care about (like arthur, john and hosea) and the respect they have for him perplex me. but he's not really any better than micah. he's just a little better at not looking and sounding so overtly evil.

hey, if you watched comic relief, did you think david looked unbearably tired? he sounded near tears at times and idt it was just bcs of the charity videos
Hi there! I'm not in the UK, so I wasn't able to see Comic Relief while it aired, or any clips until now.
I didn't notice the tiredness at first, but it definitely seemed to become more visible later in the show, as did the sounding near tears. This moment (which I got from a fan on Twitter who compiled all of David's bits) in particular really got me, as it's so apparent here...
As to what could've been causing this, I think there are several things that could have been happening, possibly even all at once. Up until I got into Good Omens/David/Michael, I wasn't at all familiar with Comic Relief, but having watched the show for a few years now, there are some really striking things I've noticed about how it's structured and what it involves.
On the one hand, you have lots of famous actors and comedians and musicians putting on a show and telling jokes...and then on the other, you have emotional videos of people in dire situations, both in the UK and abroad. And because Comic Relief is live, it's much harder to build in transitions between these two things, so you end up dramatically shifting from lighthearted to serious and back, and it leaves you with a bit of whiplash as a result.
So if those abrupt tonal shifts are difficult for us an audience, they must be even more challenging for the host(s), including David. I think the live aspect of the show makes it very similar to theater and how David might have reacted in differing moments during Macbeth, because we're seeing emotional reactions in real time, without the benefit of editing. Tonight was also the last occasion of Comic Relief that Lenny Henry was hosting after nearly 40 years at the helm, so I feel like that probably made David emotional as well, given how much he has worked with and admires him.
As for the tiredness, it seems there were at least a few interviews that David did prior to the broadcast, so he was probably running around all day trying to get everything done. Then you add to that the chaos of multiple hosts on stage and everyone trying to find their marks (which seems to have been something David was stressing out about a bit in one of the interviews today), plus the charity videos, and it's no wonder that he looked so drained.
(Another thing I also wonder is if David's demeanor had anything to do with sharing the stage with Davina McCall, who was allegedly outed as a TERF last year. Given the attacks from the anti-trans loons that David and Georgia have endured over the last several months, I can imagine that he might not be comfortable co-hosting with someone who espouses such views. And for the record, there was something about Davina that inexplicably annoyed/seemed off to me long before any of the TERF stuff came to light. It seems like my instincts have been confirmed in that regard...)
So yes, those are pretty much all of the things that came to mind regarding David's demeanor at Comic Relief. He's probably been running himself ragged lately with new projects since Macbeth ended (the Genius Game hosting gig, for one, and an appearance on the SmartTV game show, plus multiple upcoming Comic Con appearances), so hopefully he can find some time to relax and breathe in between all of this, because he more than deserves a break.
I hope this helps to answer your question. Thanks for writing in! x

Random thought, but did Penny completely forget when Leonard was trying to find a way to make it morally OK to cheat on Priya while simultaneously saying Priya was the one and he could see himself marrying her someday? Like I know that episode was just massively poorly written to begin with (Leonard is many things, but he never struck me as a cheater), but its still canon he considered it and told Penny he was planning on it. And yet Penny says she's not even a little worried about Leonard going for Sheldon's assistant who keep hitting on him. I know Penny is very likely to forgive a cheater, she's done it a lot in the past, but she's also the one Leonard went to when he wanted an excuse to have a one-night stand while with "the One." Like, girl, you should at least have more worry than "he liked another woman hitting on him." It at least garnered a conversation where she brings up the conversation and he assures her he's never even considered cheating on her and never would. I have other issues with the ship, don't even get me started on her saying she loves Leonard in a boring constantly thinks of leaving him sort of way, but this bit is really sticking with me.

Bill standing in the center of a pride rally, overwhelmed with the knowledge not only that there are so many people who feel how he does, but also that they have so much freedom to exist that they can march into the streets and declare their difference to the world.
bill wasn't out at his first pride. he went in support of virtually the entire gang i think the jake adler is the only straight character and he still has bi wife energy. and jenny but that's a meme at this point. but specifically arthur/charles, lenny/sean, bessie/hosea (bisexuals), annabelle/grimshaw. pride is a whole gang event so he went trying to find a place in the gang
hell even micah goes just because he likes being able to beat up people and anti-lgbtqias at pride are easy targets
not being out doesn't stop bill from looking around like a blushing red schoolgirl because there's beautiful men being happy and proud and kissing other men everywhere and his heart is racing so fast he actually thinks he might have a heart attack because men?? kissing?? wishing it was him not that he's 100% ready to admit that????
he gets so many younger guys hitting on him because everyone wants that bear and he genuinely just falls mute does not know how to handle it because the atmosphere is so happy and positive he actually feels safe. bill williamson, closeted gay man from 19th century, feeling safe. there isn't that instinct to aggressively deny it/retaliate in distorted self-defense.
but he has absolutely zero idea how to handle going from coded conversation and looks across campfires to people touching his arm asking 'top or bottom' 'i have a room not far from here' or even awful 'are you a bear? because i wanna hibernate with you this winter ;))' pick up lines
he isn't sure how it happens but he somehow leaves with a tiny a5 rainbow flag and a whole bunch of stickers he has to look up the meaning for. despite brushing it off as 'bah too loud all. i can taste is glitter, plastic and stupid fruity craft beers' he does sit awake that night just holding his little pride flag. he keeps it in his bedside table
when he's living alone on the ranch, sometimes he takes his little pride flag out just to hold it and appreciate it still smells like $4 body mist and deodorant and has that feeling of cheap flag material. has it in his pocket next time he goes to pride, 12 months later and confident enough to actually talk to people and try to make even just gay friends

"Finally a good ship for Butcher that isn't his wife's rapist or the embodiment of his dead baby brother—Joe Kessler."
Bitch what? The guy he left to die in a ditch, THAT'S the "good" ship?? Or do you mean the borderline incest selfcest mindrape hate manifestation due to a fucked up tumor that embodies Billy's father and daddy issues and everything he hates about himself forced on him by that man??? That's the "good" ship???? WHAT!?!? Also, people seriously take more issue with Butchie over Hughie being like Lenny than how Butcher mistreats Annie, but then claim to focus on Homelander harm of Becca as a reason to hate Butchlander????? Well HELLO obviously selectively biased misogyny and shitstain excuses to be ship antis, how are you today!? BOI do I have news from the world of kink for these people. Pseudo incest and rape kinks are just the tip of the iceberg! Considering the super fucked up borderline incestual daddy issues tumor selfcest y'all are now into, welcome to the club I guess! Now quit your kink shaming and purity wank or say hello to hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance yet again!
No you idiots, the "good" ship is and always has been M.M. being the actual good daddy dom for Billy and satisfying that baby boi's sub needs. But I guess maybe a little racism or white centricity is too prominent for that, or does "good" actually mean "monochromatic" and just the "right" type of selective toxicity?
Y'all this fandom is so whack.

Why does no one ever talking about Jimmy being half Mexican? And that a lot of his "racism" were satirical social commentaries as of the likes of Lenny Brooks?
The comedian who's literally referenced in his songs who says "Well, I was just trying to make a point, and that is that it's the suppression of the word that gives it the power, the violence, the viciousness." who stood for free speak during obscenity laws?
Jimmy Urine has spewing anti racism/anti nazi rhetoric for years now even outside of his music
teenage boys can be racist as a joke but the second j says anything satirical it’s an issue. also he’s half Mexican?

Marissa R. Moss at Rolling Stone:
In 2016, at what became an ill-fated celebration to hopefully usher in the first female president, there was not one country music performer at the Democratic National Convention. There were pop stars like Demi Lovato, Lenny Kravitz, and Lady Gaga, but there wasn’t a single performance that drew from the country or Americana worlds. This was a mistake, clearly: The attitude was that country music and Southern/rural stuff was for Trumpers, and to be avoided at all costs, and that doesn’t end well when you’re trying to win an election, or understand the American public at large on a level deeper than “red state bad.” There are blue voters in those red states, if you get them to the polls, but you have to speak — or sing — their language to get them there.
The first night of the 2024 Democratic National Convention, wherein we’ll once again make a go for a female president, looked and sounded a whole lot different from eight years ago. There weren’t big pop-star performances (though surely they are coming), but there was country: a country artist, Mickey Guyton, and a country person, Jason Isbell, singing “Something More than Free” with his unmistakable Alabama drawl in front of an image of a barn with an American flag on it. These signifiers have been generally reserved for Trump rallies when it comes to the Venn diagram of music and recent politics, with country music’s conservative core latching on to the jingoist beat in earnest since 9/11, though the alliance between the two dates back far longer.
By opening their convention with Isbell and Guyton, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz seem to want to change that, with the cherry on top appearing in the form of a Harris/Walz camouflage baseball hat released a few weeks ago — it sold out instantly. But it’s country artists like Jason Aldean, who appeared at the Republican National Convention and engages in the workingman’s sport of country club golf with former president Trump, who like to own this sort of symbolism. His 2019 album, 9, even contained a song called “Camouflage Hat.” That’s the genius work of this one small bit of Harris/Walz merch. The hat reclaims the rural and Southern identity that mainstream Democrats have long ignored, all in with the power of one nifty little cap. Ella Emhoff proudly wore hers last night, while Walz displayed his own — also camouflage — Jason Isbell hat backstage.
Meanwhile, it’s the Trump supporters who are the ones getting country music wrong, soundtracking their TikTok videos in support of the ex-president with none other than The Chicks’ “Not Ready to Make Nice,” which was written after their expulsion from Nashville in the wake of anti-Iraq War comments and their refusal to apologize. This baffling phenomenon by the right seems to come from either an inability to Google, or an assumption that everything country music must be conservative, and it’s hard to decide which is worse.
Between Jason Isbell, Maren Morris, Mickey Guyton, and The Chicks, the DNC was eager to embrace country music. That is a good thing, as Republicans don’t have a monopoly on the genre. #DNC2024 #2024DNC

Good decisions in modern Simpsons:
Marge and Lisa having like the female version of the Homer/Bart dynamic
Krusty the Clown’s daughter just being an extra in Bart’s friend group
The, in retrospect, highly credible plot twist that Bart actually got his troublemaking aptitude from Marge and not Homer
Nobody agrees with me on this but creating a whole character who’s the anti-Frank Grimes and is also a trashy Irish guy from the Northeast
Marge treating “Comic Book Guy” like a proper name and calling his wife “Mrs. Book Guy”
When at some point they clearly decided to start distinguishing Lenny and Carl more and went “What if Carl is kind of an ass?”
