i'm not going to complain about shadow and bone too much because i could obviously just like. not watch it. but just know that ohh my god. oh my god
#ziggy speaks#soc#anti shadow and bone#im being dramatic it's not terrible i guess#i hate so much when franchises and whatever make some kind of adaptation where they keep the characters but give them nothing to fucking do#it's clearly just for money with no regard to why the characters themselves are compelling and the fact that you literally need plot???#the entire plot of crooked kingdom is reliant on the plot of six of crows and the ice court heist but the show includes scenes or at least#nods to scenes from both books#but they don't work without the context#and theres so much mischaracterization and like they rush the character development so much because the soc characters have like no actual#time to be characters and the story they gave them makes no sense????#THEY NEED THE HEIST#THATS THE POINT OF THEM#the facades are supposed to be stronger than this.. you cannot have kaz saying how much he needs and relies on inej in like episode three#i am but a simple teenager and i have the potential for so much rage#idec idec#also my six of crows hyperfixation was like two years ago#apparently im ready to go to war over it today in the year of our lord 2023#who knew

anyways, instead of focusing all your energy on calling out Succession and the Last of Us for being anti-palestinian, here's some of my favourite media made by Palestinians 🇵🇸 and their allies...
Salt of this Sea (2008). Dir. Annemarie Jacir. Heist film set in Palestine about 2 Palestinians who help a Palestinian American woman rob a British bank who refused to give her the money her grandfather left her.
Netflix original series, Mo, created by Mo Amer. Dramedy about Mo, a Palestinian American without papers, trying to stay out of trouble until his US citizenship is approved (he's already been waiting for 12 years). This just got renewed for a second season!!!!
Farha (2021). Dir. Darin J. Sallam. Coming of age story about a 14 year old girl trying to survive the Nakba in 1948. Tw: settler colonial violence.
In Between (2016). Dir. Maysaloun Hamoud. A film about 3 Palestinian women, one of whom is queer, in their 20s living under occupation. Heart-warming story about friendship, solidarity and revenge. Tw: sexual assault.
In Vitro (2019). Dir. Larissa Sansour. Breathtaking short scifi film set in a future where Bethlehem has been destroyed by an ecological disaster and two scientists from different generations are trying to remember what happened. This film is pure poetry and I think about it constantly.
It Must Be Heaven (2019). Dir. Elia Sulieman. A charmingly absurdist film about Elia Sulieman seeing parallels to Palestine everywhere he goes as he tries to make a film about his homeland.
The Crossing (2017). Dir. Ameen Nayfeh. Short film about Palestinian siblings trying to cross an Israeli checkpoint to visit their grandparents.
Ramy. Episode 3 of season 3: 'American Cigarettes'. Far and away the best episode of TV of 2022, and also directed by Annemarie Jacir. Ramy goes to occupied Palestine to make a diamond deal with some Israeli brokers, but his horniness takes him to The Other Side. I think about this episode almost everyday, it's unlike anything I've ever seen.
Freedom Is A Constant Struggle by Angela Davis. A book of interviews and essays conducted by Angela Davis on how systems of racism and colonial violence are all connected, and how solidarity between communities of colour are vital, using the long-standing allyship between Palestinians, Aboriginal peoples and Black Americans as case studies.
As fine and good as it is to call out Zionism in media, rmr to also support Palestinians, their work and their art. Feel free to suggest more ❤️

Build-a-BL: Off the Market
From Aof Noppharnach and Jojo Tichakorn, comes a new show.
Night (First Kanaphan) has been struggling financially for years now, having to pay off his late mother's debts. Until one day he hears about the opportunity of a lifetime. At the upcoming local night market, there is going to be a special exhibit, featuring many priceless artifacts for display. A new job opportunity puts Night right by the artifacts. If he can manage to just grab one of the items being displayed, selling it would give him more than money to pay off the remaining debt and set up a new and good life for himself. But stealing something with such tight security is not a task for one man.
Ace (Khaotung Thanawat) is a burnt out private eye who had long been disillusioned about what good he could do against all the corruption in the world. What's worse, his cases keep causing him to run into Mercy (Mix Sahaphap), a notorious jewel thief that gets in his way and under his skin. At first he wrote it off as an unlucky coincidence, but when Mercy kept showing up at all of his cases, even those that there was no real reason for Mercy to be involved, he had to concede that for some reason Mercy was pursuing him. Against his better judgment, Ace finds himself in bed with Mercy more than he'd care to admit.
When Ace hears about a night market hosting a series of valuable items for display, his private eye senses scream at him that there's something more to what's on display, which is how he meets Night. Inevitably Mercy also gets involved and soon the trio find themselves tangled together as they begin to unravel something far bigger and sinister than they imagine.
Meanwhile, Night's estranged step-sister Dawn (Milk Pansa) is a rookie detective. When she hears about suspicious activity surrounding a night market, she goes to investigate, but is surprised that none of her superiors seem to have any interest in the matter. Things get more complicated when she keeps hearing the name Viper (Bible Wichapas), a respected businessman that all her colleagues seem to respect, tied to what's happening at the night market. What's more, she recently met the mysterious Ruby (Silvy Pavida), who seems to know more than she lets on, but Dawn finds herself inexplicably drawn to her.
Things only escalate by the sudden involvement of Prince (Jeff Satur) a master thief and Mercy's long time rival. Except Prince doesn't seem to be at the night market to steal and his apparent connection with Viper causes more confusion.
Will Night, Ace, and Mercy be able to work together to accomplish their goals? Will the tangled web of corruption be revealed? What are they willing to sacrifice to create the future they want for themselves?
(Full list of details under cut. Also this is 100% a collaborative effort and is about as public domain as a concept for a fictional show can be. If there is anything you want to add or make, please do! Tag me too because I want to see lol)

Resistance Banker: Walraven van Hall
$250 Million Heist
Walraven van Hall was a Dutch banker whose brains, bravery, and unwavering moral compass saved thousands of Jews and anti-Nazi resistance fighters during the German occupation of the Netherlands.
Walraven was born to a prominent Dutch family in Haarlem, the Netherlands, in 1906. The dream of his youth was to join the merchant marine and see the world, but because of poor eyesight his application was rejected. Instead Walraven moved to New York City, and with the help of his brother Gijs, a banker (and future mayor of Amsterdam), Walraven got a job on Wall Street. After learning the ropes of the banking industry, Walraven returned to the Netherlands and worked as a banker and stockbroker.
In 1940, Germany invaded the Netherlands. Among those affected by this calamitous event were families of merchant sailors who were unable to return home. Walraven and his brother Gijs created a fund to help these families pay their bills. The fund was guaranteed by the Dutch government-in-exile in London.
It didn’t take long after occupying Holland for the Nazis to start enacting anti-Jewish regulations, taking away Dutch Jews’ most basic liberties and conscripting them into forced labor camps and later, death camps. (Ultimately, 75% of Dutch Jews were murdered by the Nazis.) As the persecution intensified, so did the anti-Nazi resistance movement. Walraven expanded his fund to support a wide range of resistance activities, with a particular emphasis on helping Dutch Jews. He tapped into his network of wealthy Dutch citizens to fundraise and quickly became known as the “banker to the resistance.”
For three years, Walraven funded the Dutch resistance, providing about $500 million (!) to save Jews and other victims of the Nazis. How did Walraven, with his brother’s help, raise such a massive amount of money? Incredibly, they obtained $250 million by robbing De Nederlandsche Bank (Dutch National Bank), the biggest bank heist in European history. The details of how they achieved this are complicated, involving multiple shell companies, fake documents, bureaucrats who were friendly to the cause, and cooperation between a wide network of resistance organizations. Walraven was known as the Olieman (Oilman) because his warmth and charisma lubricated the friction between various resistance groups and fighters. The rest of the money was supplied by donations and loans from generous Dutch people who were outraged by the Nazi atrocities taking place in their country.
The complete story of how Walraven raised so much money may never be known, but one of his tricks was falsifying bank bonds and exchanging them for real bonds, and then paper money. He did this right under the nose of bank president Rost van Tonningen, a prominent Nazi who collaborated with the German occupiers. The money Walraven collected was used to secretly house and support over 8000 Jews in hiding, conduct acts of sabotage against Nazi targets in Holland, and rescue captured Allied pilots.
In January 1945, Walraven was arrested by the Germans, along with seven other resistance fighters, in revenge for the death of a police commander. All eight were quickly executed without trial. Ironically, the Germans had no idea who Walraven was; they assumed he was just another resistance fighter rather than the banker and leader who made so much resistance activity possible.
Posthumously, Walraven received several honors including the Dutch Cross of Resistance and the U.S. Medal of Freedom. He was honored as Righteous Among the Nations by Israeli Holocaust Memorial Yad Vashem in 1978. However, Walraven’s brave deeds were not widely known until recently, possibly because powerful banks didn’t want people to know the secrets of how they were robbed.
In 2018, Dutch director Joram Lursen released “The Resistance Banker,” a feature film about Walraven van Hall that became one of the highest-grossing Dutch films of all time. Joram said in an interview with the Jewish Telegraph Agency (JTA), “When people think of the resistance.. they rarely think of the enormous amounts of money that it cost to keep this organization – the resistance – running.” He likened his film to a Hollywood action film, characterizing it as “easy to follow and full of suspense as a casino heist.” The film is available on Netflix.
For saving thousands of lives by funding the Dutch resistance to Nazi occupation, we honor Walraven van Hall as this week’s Thursday Hero.

Once Bitten, Twice Angry - Miguel O'Hara x Anti Hero!Reader
So. This isnt planned to be a fic - in fact Im writing it on my phone (which is something I NEVER do). But the idea came to me today and its itching the inside of my skull so I decided to write it down. Its silly - just an thought experiment to get the Across the Spiderverse brain worms out.
This isnt intended to be a romantic fic, either. At the point of writing this author blurb, i dont even know how Miguel fits into it beyond the main idea of him being venomous.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Let me know what you think
This isnt edited, and was typed out pretty quickly on a phone. I apologize ;;
WARNINGS: Swearing; Violence
"I bet you're wondering what I'm doing here." The bank robber - his name was Ryan, you remembered, and he was a pretty decent guy, just down on his luck too many times - nodded and mumbled behind the collect of irridecent that coated his mouth. You propped your foot on the side of another robber - Julian, Julius, Juli-something, he never really talked that much to you - as he tried to squirm towards his fallen weapon. "It's weird, right?" you mused, "One day, I'm the Black Cat, Nueva York's greatest burglar, the next I'm--" you cut yourself off as you hooked a foot around Juli-such-and-such's hip and tossed him across the bank floor. He released a muffled shout.
"Okay, so, what do you think of Moon Weaver?" you asked, "Too much?"
"Ain't there a Moon Knight?" someone in the bank quipped.
You twisted around, snapping your fingers down on your new, and very much stolen, web shooter. The man crumbled back against a cabinet. He was a banker, and annoying during robberies.
"I didn't ask you? I still don't know if you're gonna be saved by me yet," you replied. You turned back to Ryan. "No Moon Weaver?" you asked.
He shook his head.
"Damn," you sighed, "Anyway, I was telling this to my therapist up on the seventh floor - you should see her by the way, she's great - and we were going over how this started, but since you so rudely interrupted my therapy session, you get to hear it." You crouched in front of him. "Don't worry, you're not gonna remember a thing anyway. I'll make sure of it."
Ryan didn't reply.
You stood back up. "So, let's start at the beginning." You waved your hand as you paced away to another bank robber, kneeling to scoop up his limp ankle. "Remember that heist I was doing a few months ago? Priceless heirloom, lots of money, you know how it is. I was on the job, like normal, when that fucking Spiderman shows up." You dropped the man's ankle and crouched in front of Ryan again. "Have you ever seen him without his mask? He's kinda hot, but in that infuriating "I really wanna punch you" kinda way?"
Ryan merely stared at you. He wasn't a very good audience.
You huffed. "Anyway. He showed up, we did the whole song and dance - the chase, the quips, the obvious flirting with a good layer of sexual tension - and I give him the slip." You frowned at your own memory of that night, planting your fists on your hips. "Except, I didn't. He caught me around the corner, and we went down, grappling. I think I hit him a little too hard in a place that I shouldn't've - that's rude in a fight, you know - because he yelled and suddenly bit my shoulder." You turned back around. "He bit me! Like a four year old!"
You thought Ryan mumbled something that sounded like, "Seriously?" but it was too hard to make out.
So, you replied with, "Yeah! And I went home, and I started feeling weird." Then, you crouched again, your fingers dancing over your knees. "And you know how we all kinda know that he's a weird little freak that's, like, part spider, or werewolf, or vampire, or something freaky? Yeah, I think whatever it is gave me powers," you whispered.
Ryan's eyes went wide.
You shrugged and stood, cupping your fingers around his head. "Yeah, it was weird. And now, here we are!" Your fingers tickled as a surge of electricity arched away from them and through his skull. "Not that you'll remember it," you mumbled.
The robber thrashed as you stepped away, then slumped to the ground. You watch him for a moment, frowning, waiting to make sure he was still breathing. When he groaned, you stepped back.
Then, you snapped your fingers, turning around to face the whole group of thieves you had piled in a corner. "Oh, what about Night Spider? That's pretty cool!" you asked.
"It's pretty," came a delayed reply. You looked over your shoulder. It was a customer, one of the few that was still curled up on the floor.
You smiled, and bowed at the waist. "Why thank you," you preened, standing, and waving your arm towards the door, "What're you all still waiting around here for? Get outta here!" You watched as the customers scrambled to their feet. "And tell the cops it was Night Spider that helped you!" You backed away, eyeing an exit you normally took to escape a bank with a similar layout. "Not Spiderman."
You bolted as the cops rushed into the building.
Miguel watched from atop the roof across the street, an annoyed scowl etched deep into his face. He knew he shouldn't have bitten you that night - but how could he have known you'd have such a reaction?!
And now, you went from being a pain in his side to a fucking problem.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and groaned, swearing under his breath.
Lyla would never let him live it down.

HALLOWEEN!!!!
halloween pretty much started late august anyway this is overdue. let’s get seasonal. but first,
PRO VS ANTI CANDY CORN, IN ORDER:
zeni, lup (just gets a bit too sweet after that first handful) jigen, fujicakes, goemon (“tastes like a dollop of corn syrup drowned in orange sugar”)
lupin:
fucking LOVES it. i mean you know he already loves dressing up and playing made up characters so this just feels like another excuse to get crafty with it. if he could stand the consistency/normalcy of owning a house he’d absolutely be that guy getting arrested for having way too many obnoxious decorations lighting up the street at 4 a.m. and you KNOW IT!!
would he, a grown ass man, trick or treat? no. unless you count hightailing it to walmart and stuffing those mixed packs into his shorts lolz I MEAN THAT IS TECHNICALLY FREE CANDY SO MAYBE IT COUNTS
costume: boring answer is vampire but. yeah that IS his go-to. he just loves the variety and consistency he gets with it simultaneously! of course, not to say he doesn’t have fun with it time to time. he just seems to be a vampire like, every other year
jigen:
he can have a little fun with it if he so chooses. depends on the weather, literally. if the air is crisp and the leaves are pretty and falling all nicely where they’re currently stationed for some heist or something, he’ll get in a autumny mood, but if it’s already gotten too cold, or worse, it’s still hot, then yeah he’s not super impressed
dude lowkey adores the excuse to startle people. if they actually handed out candy and shit he’d absolutely pretend to be a halloween prop sitting on the porch only to move when someone reaches for the candy bowl and tries to take two. and then he laughs so obnoxiously loudly about it that the next like five batches of kids aren’t even phased. don’t worry. a fresh, unsuspecting pack will arrive soon enough.
costume: again boring, usual answer is a werewolf. look at that beard dude he LOOKS like a werewolf!! but he could have fun with like a zombie getup, or maybe like a stereotypical 20’s mafia type. he can even wear the same hat and keep smoking, but it’s INSISTED that he get the pinstripe suit too
fujiko:
“haha, don’t you think that’s a little juvenile for me?” frankly no i don’t is cuz that a fucking bedazzled jason voorhees mask on your front door??
she’s not exactly breaking into spirit halloween, pulling out the mummy cakepops and shit, but like lupin, she loves an excuse go dress up, she just… keeps it a little more reasonable than he does
on the night of, she probably goes to like, one party, then when she’s inevitably disappointed by it, she goes home and pops in like rocky horror or something. it’s halloweeny enough
costume: NO DOUBLEDIPPING!! NEVER! she’s gone as everything reasonably attainable under the sun, so long as it doesn’t cover her lovely face up. she likes having unique costumes, but the actual ooak costume making process with the sewing machine and everything didn't really work out for her the one time she tried, so she’ll either bring together different pieces to pull it off or use some poor schmuck’s money to get one made for herself. she has fun with it!!
goemon:
doesn’t FEEL the hype but GETS it. understands it from an outsider standpoint. he knows his company well, and he understands why it appeals to them. before meeting them, he probably saw fall as a calm time of year. lmao. lol even.
really the only one i can reasonably see handing out candy in a normal, pleasant fashion. firmly insists the child may take one. but maybe they can pick a second one, since they were so polite. and maybe a third as well since they clearly put love into their costume, and it IS a bit chilly tonight-- BUT NO MORE!
costume: guy’s already dressed like this, put some white face paint on him and ring his eyes with purple and you have your spooky long-deceased spirit of the damned. ooouuouuouuu scary! the others try to throw less generic ones at him time to time, but he doesn’t like anything TOO wacky, and need he remind you he doesn’t HAVE to partake in the festivities, so maybe he’ll be a jedi for ONE year, count it, ONE singular year, but that’s IT
zenigata:
for such a tough guy he’s very easily startled! he recovers easy but god is he sick of those stupid motion activated animatronics. he’d rather eat phillips head screws soaked in vinegar than go to a haunted house
that said his favorite parts are easily the costumes and snacks. which. duh that’s everyone’s favorite but he really is content just hanging back and looking at what other people have come up with! even if it’s common it’s fun to like. tally how many elsa’s are out there. the food, of course, is self explanatory. he may be one of the few people left on earth who immediately associate candy apples with halloween. also makes a beeline for the monster cereal the minute september hits ITS A CUTE THEME OKAY!! BOOBERRY JUST TASTES GOOD
costume: may have to be bribed into it. it’s not that he hates the fun. like i said, he thinks the costumes are cute, but he feels like it’d be too silly for him to really go out of his way getting dressed up. this of course is patently bullshit almost nothing is “too silly” for this fucker and it’s not too hard to convince him to do some bullshit. otherwise he just looks like he’s going as columbo and inspector gadget’s fused clone.
#i haven't even watched ghostbusters yet. i gotta get on top of my shit dude#lupin iii#lupin the third#lupin#jigen#fujiko#goemon#zenigata

I'm sure there are people out there who will like it for what it is, but Berlin, the La Casa de Papel spinoff (I refuse to call it Money Heist), feels like they looked at the original and went 'ok, let's remove or minimize all of the high stakes heisting/robbery action scenes, the plot twists, the strategical cat-and-mouse back and forth, the politics, populism and morality, the evolving social dynamic between hostages, criminals and law enforcement in high tension situations, and the general aesthetics/branding of the show that people liked, and instead, because this one's about the character of Berlin, we'll focus on the romantic entanglements between the crew, schmoozing around France philosophizing about love, life and passion, while making stupid mistakes that constantly jeopardize the heist itself, and then chuck in some fan service characters near the end'. It's no secret that Berlin is a predatory, egotist Lothario, swept up in the shallowest of hedonistic conceits, but the show justifies his ill-treatment of others in his search for love's meaning or whatever and expects us to still root for him to win. There's only so much a problematic anti-hero can do, before effectively becoming the villain of the piece. For a heist story, the whole thing is mawkish, boring, and tonally off-putting.

Asking random stuff... just to get to know people.
How are you?
Any interest in the Olympics?
What's a good book/movie/show that more people should seek out and enjoy?
Spring, Summer, Fall, or Winter?
Secret small life hack?
Olympics: vaguely! I think the Olympics are cool but don’t watch them. Except curling that’s the shit. But there’s an athlete from my hometown competing so I’m paying extra attention to her!
I absolutely recommend Leverage and Leverage: Redemption. Anti-authoritarian heist-of-the-week with great character work. And ofc I gotta rec my childhood favorite movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Season: Fall 100%
Life hack: the thing where tiny restaurants with no online presence are the best because they make money from people coming back also applies to barbershops.
Bonus tip: if you convert your phone to an eSIM, deleting the eSIM does not automatically return your phone to the physical SIM card. Luckily it was a simple fix. Why yes I did plan to answer this this morning, why do you ask?

Can someone explain why it’s believed that she’s going to be very loud and out before her re-records are done? I thought that was the whole point, she stopped the lover coming out after the masters heist and pivoted to re-recording the albums (thank you Kelly!) so Braun and company wouldn’t make as much money off her story. 1989 tv saw streams of the original 1989 drop 44%, she doesn’t want the “owners” of her first 6 albums making money off her story and I think she’s very aware that her very loudly coming out would have people flock to her old catalogue to see the signs they missed. I understand how frustrating it is to see the stunts, but I truly think it’s all part of the story. We only have 2 albums left until she moves into her next plan, and the mastermind is always up to something
I don’t think it’s so much that she’s very loud, rather that she’s just not subtle—releasing SOTB, Question?, Maroon, Lavender Haze, Anti-Hero, The Great War are all not subtle references to her secret life of Bearding. The back and forth between her and Karlie on socials with the sharing clothes, similar color themes, hints at new music before it happens, etc etc. when you take all of that together it is absolutely frustrating for people—I don’t see anyone here demanding she immediately comes out, rather it is hard to go from dropping Toe, MAYHem with MH and then a hugely over the top publicized Beard again—especially when we had Miss Americana about how she was taking her muzzle off and here she is shouting out and fake kissing a man during her worldwide concert—again taking the focus off of her and her success and placing it back onto her interactions with men

I voted FDR in the poll because of well, the everything, and I was astonished to see how many people had chosen Nixon.
I know our education system is bad, but it was genuinely horrific to see all the other options in the single digits. For most of these people, the only bad thing they know about Nixon was watergate. I remember at least being taught about the internment camps in school, even if they neglected to mention who was president at the time.
FDR fancied himself king of America, and it's disheartening to know how few people realize how genuinely evil he was.
I mean, Nixon was on there mostly to prove that tumblr as a whole does not understand or remember history. Their knowledge of history comes from half-remembered public education, and from ahistorical and hysterical tumblr posts.
Don't get me wrong, Nixon did fucking suck.
He normalized trade relations with China, which ruined American manufacturing, sending countless American jobs overseas, and the rest of the world soon followed suit; that's why 90% of what you own is cheap and low-quality and made in China. Not to mention that the massive influx of foreign money is what led to the CCP being able to continue to prop itself up, when it otherwise would have collapsed under the weight of its own incompetence and inefficiency decades ago otherwise, like every other experiment with socialism inevitably does.
Then there's his taking America off of the gold standard, which permitted the massive expansion of the money supply, which led to the inflation of the 1970's, and all subsequent inflations, since the main safeguard and deterrent to inflationary monetary policy has been removed.
And then there's the incredibly underhanded tactics that he used to to get his political opposition: See, in spite all of his hatred for hippies and the Black Panthers, you can't ban ideologies or political movements. But, both groups tended to smoke marijuana. So what do you do? You stoke latent anti-Mexican sentiment in the American populace, and paint weed as a demon drug that makes people promiscuous and a danger to society. And once it was criminalized, well, now he had all the excuse he needed to crack down on certain groups who opposed him. He wasn't throwing them in jail for their ideology; he was throwing them in jail for the reefer! Totally different! The "War on Drugs" is total bullshit, and like all attempts at prohibition in this country, it just led to a greater amount of the "banned" item in increasing potency and availability, while creating a robust criminal underclass to supply the prohibited good.
And we can't forget that he ordered the bombing and invasion of Cambodia and Laos, two countries which had the misfortune of simply being next to Vietnam. He even ran on a platform of ending the war in Vietnam, and while the peace talks were already started by the time he was elected, it took four more years for America to finally withdraw from a war it had no business being involved with in the first place.
He weaponized the FBI and IRS against political enemies, keeping tabs on anyone that he thought was against him, spying on and even illegally wiretapping opponents. He, like so many others, tried to consolidate more and more power into the Executive branch of the government, outside the normal separation of powers. His election strategy was to openly court racists who were mad about desegregation.
And, of course, I'd be remiss if I forgot to mention Tricky Dick's Wet 'n' Wild Water Heist of 1967. Leave the water in the Reflecting Pool alone, man.

Leverage Log: The (Very) Big Bird Job
Ok time to start S5. Ok the courts just filed in favour of an airplane company. (im dissapointed, i really wanted this to be a Sesame Street crossover, but "plane" will have to do) --- Lesson of the day: Interpol makes good pretzels. Sophie is really pissed they dont get to go back to Nate's place. (I agree with Hardison, and with Elliot if you're gonna use a restaurant as cover do it well) In Sophie's defense, maybe tell her a bit earlier. But Hardison is 100% right to move places. (im assuming real life-wise, its a tax incentive thing, Portland probably gave incentives to TV crews that their previous place didnt) Also Parker and Hardison have officially said the word "dating", which implies that either they were trying to keep it on the down-low last season (did not fool Elliot or Sophie) or that they weren't "official" last season (does not fool me) --- Car-baddy scared me for a sec. Thought Hardison (and the showrunners) went through all this trouble justifying the switch to Portland, only for them to get their covers blown before any scams, cons or heists even happened. But the "they're on the move" is probably about the woman and child who just left Leverage Inc, rather then being about Leverage Inc. --- The Spruce Goose. Well yeah that most certainly is a verry big bird. Im gonna be honest, until he said "what a great man can do when the little people get out of his way", i actually sort of liked the mark. He seemed like a man genuinely passionate on the industry he works in. --- Ooh we get an actual scene of Parker doing burglary stuff. (by which i mean more then just pickpocketing) I get those scenes are probably hard to write/shoot but seeing as literally everyone in the show picks pockets and lifts ID badges every episode it was starting to seem like Parker was getting a bit redundant. --- Are they seriously going to con the guy into thinking he's flying this plane? Like yeah, i know Hardison apparently has an interest in flight simulators (IE: The cross my heart job) but that seems a bit extreme. Also i dont like that this season starts with a 9/11 reference. Like that is a bad sign for media from America that its about to get really Pro-Big Government, Anti-Islam and or generally extremely racistly patriotic. --- Yep they're gonna sell him the bridge, as well as the plane it connects to. --- Sophie sees a theatre for lease. (i assume knowing her and the teams money, she's gonna buy it outright). --- "company kills a guy, pays a fine. You kill a guy you go to jail". Nice work Nate. --- I mean yeah obviously it was in the bear... I suspected it from the start. (i just didnt write it down because, well the other option was they cast a child actor a few years too old for the character and were attempting to smooth over the gaps by giving them a cute little bear. And i felt that was a rude thing to comment on) --- Ah, Nate took a sec to compliment Hardisons' fake blueprints. --- Elliot has finally found a word he can't make sound badass. "i'm only gonna say this once; Give me the... teddy bear." Ok Parker, you just pickpocketed the magazine out of a loaded gun, Without removing the gun. Why do you feel the need to flex like this? You could've just stolen the whole gun. --- Ok Nate. You officially do not get to complain about Hardisons' goldheist. Like, nothing has gone against your plans in this con, you designed the con around Hardisons' ability to turn a plane into a flight sim, and then had him stage a crash-site. --- Well that was a verry well engineered confession. Congrats. --- Ok so our season-arc begins with an ominous shot of Hardison and Nate going behind the teams back on something. No theories yet but "all good things come to an end" is an ominous line for a shows final season to end at.

I understood what the clothes in "Archive" album version mean. Neos as artworks themselves, not art-collectors (there was no heist as fans speculated). 127 posed before museum shelves and crates because they were stored there.
So we have three ongoing themes for the clothes: neos in their dreamscape (chandelier), neos in a created dream/new virtual dimension as gods of Seoul (4 costume collections), neos as artworks to represent the A-track.
-------
I like when "I'm better than you" songs are supported by the level of success/fame an artist has. Just debuted/rookies idols shouldn't sing obnoxious songs, it comes off as laughable and unauthentic.
Fact Check's lyrics are pleasantly smart and in places poetic. The address to non-NCTzens is direct and truthful (actually go look up info, awards, charts, sold albums - stats). "Ohh, I'm enigma" In Korean sounds very cutting into memory, the word is tasty. And it's a cool rebranding (you call me weird, but you just can't understand the enigma).
I especially like these ones:
How you do that? Maybe it's DNA
Sassy.
2. Like Banksy, I transcend frames
Modern artist Banksy performed a famous stunt, when one of his works was shredded before the gathered buyers at an auction. The artwork literally left its frame. The act was the talk of the town. It seems that the event was widely covered in SK as G-Idle also referenced it.
Frames, boxes. Can't put 127 in a ready box. (Even if they work for money (sell themselves as Banksy sold his painting), they still do whatever they want? (as Banksy transformed the sold art into something new)).
3. Whichever way you look, gem's constantly aglitter Go on, cut me down, just refines my shine, babe
A diamond after cutting turns into a brilliant. The more cuts, the more facets, the brighter shine. I don't know if this comparison is used widely in song-writing, but it's a very nice reply to antis and defamation.
4. Engrave me endlessly, I flower into something new Something different, shattering every frame
Cut me with hurtful words, I will just change into a new art. I like the use of "flower into". It evokes a very vivid imagery of an opening flower. More and more facets/petals. Come to think of it, it also looks like an originally whole spherical bloom is cut into many many pieces that in the end present as something more beautiful than the flower bud.
