Are you going to try to skip the DJR and KS scenes or watch illegally, if humanly possible? I wish there was a way to support the kids without supporting DJR and KS. :(
Oh shit, they’re gonna be on there :(
I’ll still watch on Netflix because I love the t9s kids and their potential. But I don’t want it to seem like I support DJR and KS because what they did was fucked up. DM is a rapist who let several women live in fear of him and honestly, fuck anyone who defends him and Wilmer but this all goes back to DM.

PSA, for the casual viewers of That 90s Show.
Since Hollywood journalism has failed spectacularly in this regard, other than a brief backlash shortly thereafter, here is why Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith should be blacklisted. And have no roles in That 90s Show, currently and in the future.
They both wrote letters asking for leniency for Danny Masterson, a convicted rapist serving thirty years in prison. In a court of law. Debra Jo Rupp, along with Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, also posited that Masterson was a good guy for being anti-drugs. Which is absolutely ridiculous. To pick loyalty to their despicable friend rather than picking basic moral decency is absolutely unacceptable, and they should not be rewarded in Hollywood. In any way, shape, and form.
Here are some quotes from the letters (I am linking them here):
"So thank you for allowing me to tell you about the Danny Masterson that I love." -Debra Jo Rupp
Debra also called him "respectful and kind." Maybe to her, but not to his victims.
"I consider myself to be fortunate to have had Danny Masterson in my life." -Kurtwood Smith
Kurtwood did not use the drug argument like the others, but still. He also said, "I found that Danny treated women on the show with respect, not only the women in the cast, but women on the crew as well." Wasn't one of Danny's victims one of the girls on the episode, "Hyde Gets The Girl (season 4)?" That's the opposite of treating women, both on and off the stage, with respect.
*****
So, spread this as far and wide as possible. Neither of them, along with Kutcher and Kunis, should work in Hollywood. Never again.
*****
Notes:
1. I am no fan of That 90s Show. Yet, even if this was my favorite show, I'd feel the exact same way.
2. Some argue that people are aware of their terrible actions, and/or are simply defending a friend, but have moved on and are okay with it. There is a minority that feel this way, but I firmly believe that most of the casual audience is wholly unaware, because many would agree with the inclination that they (along with Kutcher and Kunis) should never act again. Akin to Roseanne Barr.
3. Watching their past shows is fine, as is watching season 2 for the kids and such. But to actively support them is a whole other can of worms.

'Patriot' pairs offbeat humor with folk music in weird, wonderful Amazon spy series

He’s neither a suave James Bond nor the ruthlessly efficient Jason Bourne. Instead, John Tavner, the intelligence operative at the heart of Amazon’s “Patriot,” is a spy defined by who he isn’t.
The emotionally damaged American agent finds himself in familiar spy terrain, enmeshed in dangerous undercover work as a “non-official cover,” as the critically acclaimed and darkly funny drama returns for an eight-episode second season Friday.
“He defies the action hero, the idea (that) they can do anything and they’re the best at everything. He’s not an action hero at all,” says Michael Dorman, who plays the spy who would rather be a folk singer.
John’s reluctance and offbeat nature aside, “Patriot” checks off many boxes of the spy genre. It tells the story of a secret mission – John takes a cover job at a Milwaukee piping company with an overbearing boss (Kurtwood Smith) – to prevent Iran’s development of a nuclear bomb. (The plan goes woefully awry.) Shot primarily on the streets of Paris, the second season also conveys the genre’s international allure.
Professional intelligence entanglements complicate the relationship of operative John Tavner (Michael Dorman) and his father, Tom (Terry O’Quinn), in Amazon’s ‘Patriot.’ (Photo: Jessica Forde, Amazon)
But the series differs in other ways, says creator Steve Conrad.
“It fits under suspense thriller, those sorts of movies and TV shows that try so hard to be cool. But I’m just really down on cool. … I see John as anti-cool, maybe that he’s anti- those other” spies, he says, pointing out one superficial signal: His hero spends most of his time in a ratty green sweater rather than a tuxedo.
“I wanted to write about (someone) who might find themselves sacrificing, but didn’t get a lot of girlfriends or gadgets out of it. The set of principles that motivate this person are worth writing about, but the superficiality is embarrassing.”

To that end, the idiosyncratic John, who has the dangerous tendency to reveal secret information in his autobiographical songs, is based on the late singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, whom Conrad describes as “supremely intelligent, (with) some psychological trauma.”
“Patriot” also tells a family story: John’s real boss is his father, Tom (Terry O’Quinn), a State Department intelligence chief, and is aided by his Congressman brother Edward (Michael Chernus). As with “The Americans,” the familiar challenges of family relationships are aggravated by the exotic pressures of spy work.
Tom set “Patriot” in motion in the series premiere, asking his struggling son to take on the dangerous Iranian mission. That spun out of control when John lost a bag of money meant for the anti-nuclear operation, leading to a cascade of problems that continue to bedevil him in Season 2.

“That’s the biggest battle for Tom: What is this doing to (John’s) mind and heart?” O’Quinn says. “The physical danger is one thing, but what is it doing to your son when you instruct him to kill someone. I’m never quite sure how to say those lines, but Tom has to say them. The consequences of this mission failing are far greater than how it’s going to affect me, my son or any one family. It could affect millions of people.”
“Patriot” is “a story about this one man’s soul being extinguished and can the people who love him save him in time,” Conrad says. “It’s so antithetical to other (espionage) shows, where you cheer for the hero to succeed. In ‘Patriot,’ you cheer for him to quit.”
As Season 1 ended, John had an exit strategy from his job if he gave the money to a European detective investigating him for a homicide. But family obligations – Edward has been kidnapped and is being held in exchange for that money – force him to continue.
Debra Winger joins Amazon’s ‘Patriot’ in Season 2, playing John Tavner’s mother, Bernice. (Photo: Jessica Forde, Amazon)
But there are differences in Season 2: John is out in the open and he gets assistance from fellow operatives, both professional and amateur, in Paris. “So, you’re going to see his friends come back,” Dorman says. “You actually get to see him enjoy himself in moments. You might get to see him smile, or laugh even, and be free and easy.”
And you might get to see more of “Patriot,” as Conrad and Dorman would like a third season. “There are 10 more hours of things I want to say and do,” Conrad says.

My main T9S opinions
-I’m a full time Nikki, Gwen, & Jay stan and want them all to be happy.
-I also like Leia and Sherri but they’re not my faves.
-I love Red and Kitty as characters, but that doesn’t mean I support the actors who play them.
-Nate gets on my nerves a lot but I don’t really hate him per se. I just think he needs to grow up.
-Ozzie is my least favorite out of the main kids
-Serena and Trevor were amazing guest characters that deserved more than to be used as a plot device

I just wished that none of this would’ve happened and literally it wouldn’t have if DJR and KS had kept their fucking mouths shut.
