#anti kagome fandom

Also what is with the Kagome/InuKag fandom and their obsession with portraying Kagome as this completely pure-hearted, angelic being who has no faults and can do no wrong? Honestly itâs super creepy how they act like sheâs perfect and youâre the bitch if you ever dare criticize her. I donât think Iâve ever seen any other character with a fandom that worships her so much that they blatantly Mary-Sueify her in the process and see no issue with that, her fans ironically behave like most of the characters in the series.
Another irony is that they call Kikyou "mery-sue" to insult her, it's absolutely okay for them to do it to their 'goddess'
I don't understand their train of thought, but maybe it's me who has a problem with this strange contradiction đ¤Ł

My problem with Yashahime isn't just the fact that SessRin is a thing in it. My problem is also with the depiction of Inuyasha and Kagome's relationship in it.
First off, I believe Inuyasha and Kagome would have been better off as friends. Why? Kagome deserves to be with someone who doesn't make her wonder whether she is who he sees when he looks at her. Inuyasha deserves someone who will not have to wonder about his intentions even when he is being sincere. Both of them deserve a relationship that is not weighed down by a past love reincarnated into the present.
Towards the end of the OG Inuyasha anime and manga, Inuyasha is shown to have done at least some growing up and matured. His relationship with Kagome is also shown to have been better. Although I feel Kagome should have left him (romantically) in episode 48 of the OG series. She should have continued to be friends with him, of course. But should not have been romantically involved with someone who was clearly emotionally unavailable. I feel it was not right to have her always wonder where his loyalties lie. Also, quite insulting, might I add, that he finally focuses on her and sees her only once Kikyo is gone for good (the episode with her death still makes me emotional, it was really well made). Still, things appear to be looking better towards the end of TFA.
Enter Yashahime - and InuKag are back to square one. Square negative, if that's even possible. She is shown to continue using the kotodama beads for no reason whatsoever, whereas they could have depicted that she never uses the subjugation word unless Inuyasha is in mortal peril. Inuyasha is seen to be walking on eggshells around her. And that's just the first time we see them together. Things just get worse after that.
In the manga, in one of the chapters, she is seen telling Inuyasha that despite being married, they haven't had much time to themselves, and that Inuyasha doesn't show her the kind of husbandly affection that she craves. That's just.....sad. In the same chapter, Kagome is shown to support SessRin's relationship. Remember Kagome from the OG series? The same one who was sneering at Miroku for trying to get his hands on an underage Koharu? Y'all really think she's going to be all gushy and encouraging when she sees the same thing with Rin? Lol, as if. Our fiery little priestess would rather fashion a spiritual chastity belt for Lord Fluffy and clobber him unconscious to put it on him.
Whatever maturity Inuyasha gained throughout the OG series is chucked out of the window the moment he is shown (in the anime) to use the kongosoha technique and decimating his house in the process. What in the world?
Inuyasha and Kagome are shown to have been reduced to mere shells of their powerful selves. Putting Inuyasha's Tessaiga attacks aside, Kagome, one of the most powerful priestesses of the time, is shown to have been demoted to a nagging wife and not much else.
I feel like I can spend days writing about all the various ways the infernal pseudo-sequel called Yashahime grates on my nerves, which is why I breathe better pretending it's just another Fanfic on the internet. Still, on some days, I feel better ranting about it. Today was one of those days. Anyway, that's it for today's rant. See ya!

InuYasha fandom in a nutshell.
Kikyou = pure and kind.
Sango = pure and kind.
Rin = pure and kind.
Kagome = slutty, whiny, annoying whore who has STDs.
The InuYasha fandom really needs to get a life. They have never heard of the old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover". Shout out to kagome-kujo for giving me the inspiration to make this post.

hi my dear, i have to say i love your blog and how you get over those pitiful ichihime statements
i want to know how will you explain or if you have another post that explains... how time doesn't interfere between ichigo and rukia
bc i always see how ichihime fans say how fucked up their ship is just bc of their age. i mean, we understand that time goes different between both worlds, but it's like they just refuse to understand it
also how it is not so much about age but connection, understanding and equal interests, they also seem to forget isshin and masaki
i'd be glad if you can answer, thank you much for all your posts đ it makes it easier to like ichiruki, sometimes ichihime fans just make it so hard, like you're committing a crime
Oh, thank you! âşď¸
Antis really think an unrealistic age gap is a problem in a FANTASY or SUPERNATURAL setting? Especially in the Bl3ach universe, where there's already a canon couple with that trope? Doesn't it sound silly?
They act as if Mortal X Immortal ships don't exist, as if they aren't a popular trope/dynamic in many forms of media. They call IR problematic because of it, but turn around & ship pairings like Yato & Hiyori (Noragami), Inuyasha & Kagome, Tomoe & Nanami (Kamisama Kiss), etc. Yet, they cross the line at IR?
They conveniently forget or ignore the fact Ichigo is a product of Isshin & Masaki, a canon couple that the antis support & like to use as "parallels" with their mid ship (even though those of us who can read know IM parallels IR). Isshin was probably way older than Masaki, older than Rukia even, yet once again, the antis cross the line at IR?
Hypocrisy, much? They only bring up the age gap when it's convenient for them. When they want to grasp at straws to invalidate IR. But all their arguments have a counter-argument to them đ¤ˇââď¸. IR is just that powerful đ.
Ichigo & Rukia vibed so well right off the bat, getting on a first name basis early on, & often seemed to share the same brain cell đ¤Ł.
Souls in Soul Society age much slower & differently than living humans. Rukia was the equivalent of Ichigo's age, so she was "15" in SS terms when they first met. Antis like to act as if she's some ancient hag or s*x goddess who's going to corrupt poor innocent Ichigo, yet Rukia showed to be quite innocent in many matters, not to mention, she thought kisses were only for greetings in one of the early chapters đ. Out of the two, I'm pretty sure Ichigo would know more than her in these matters...
(I've also seen this stupid argument against HitsuKarin. They be calling Hitsugaya an "old man"!! Like, seriously?! How is he gonna "corrupt" Karinâby giving her a large stack of paperwork?! He's about 10-11 years old in SS terms, the equivalent of Karin's age, who was 11!! Then they both conveniently aged up to 12-13 after the 17-month timeskip... Just what was Kub0 getting at?!đ¤Śââď¸)
Not to mention, Ichigo felt very at home in Soul Society & got along so well with all the "ancient geezers & hags" there, even going as far as calling some of them by first name & hanging out with them like old buds (such as Renji). No wonder Ichigo didn't feel like he belonged in the Living World much; he really was born in the wrong generation (or world), lol... 𤪠He always showed to be more in touch with his shinigami side... (no wonder he chose that out of all his hybrid sides in TYBW, & yet... đŽâđ¨)
Anyway, don't engage with the antis. Ignore/block/mute them. Follow the age-old fandom rule: just ship & let ship. Don't let the antis ruin your fun. There's so much IR content out there đ.

Please note, the winner ban only applies to the first place winner(s) in each division; second and third place winners will be eligible to be nominated again in the next term.
As this term comes to a close, FeudalConnection will be taking a short hiatus. This time is always spent reviewing the process and seeing what can be revamped for next term.
In addition, by popular request, moving forward we will be announcing next term's Roulette Categories so that everyone will have plenty of time to find something for those categories. And an immense thank you to everyone who voted on the categories! Roulette Fanfiction Category for Term 3 2023 will be Best Original Plot. This is defined as: A story that utilizes the Inuyasha characters in a story that is wholly separate and unique from the original series and sequel.
Roulette Fanart Category for Term 3 2023 will be Best Traditional. This is defined as: A piece created using traditional media such as paints, pencils, pens, ink, markers, pastels, crayons, chalks, etc. Computer programs are used to create minor adjustments only or not at all.
We will officially be back in full swing September 1st! Remember, we will now only be hosting three times per year, and thus the time between terms has extended. We will still be around in case you have questions or concerns, but feel free to take this time to read new fanfiction and find new fanart. We strongly encourage everyone to review/comment/reblog so to spread the love of this fandom around.Â
Want to stay immersed in the Inuyasha fandom? Head on over and join our Discord server! Or follow @inuyasha-eventsâ to stay up-to-date on all the current and upcoming fandom events!
As the day gets closer to the start of the second term of 2023, we will be keeping everyone in the loop when it comes to changes and updates. Thank you all again for making this such a wonderful experience! See you soon!

Idk where the whole "Yona hate" is even coming from. Like we must have different social circles because every sidlink fan I've talked to (myself included) is either A. Disappointed or B. Poly shipping them all because why not which honestly? Both are valid. I've yet to see any hate. Critcism I've seen on her character, but not hate.
And definitely not shipping wars. Holy balls, guys, I was part of the Hetalia fandom in 2011/2012. THOSE were shipping wars. I started shippinng in like 2006 or so and man the fanfiction was absolutely bananas. Inuyasha fans literally feral then over Kagome vs Kikyo.
Like holy shit. This stuff is tame compared to what I've witnessed. Stop making mountains of molehills. Bring 'er down to like a four, antis, because you're at an eleven when you got no need to be.
#ramblings at 4:30 am#sidlink#im on the lavender marriage side i think thats perfect#i also like the poly side ngl#sidon has two hands and can hold his boyfriends in one and his fiances in the other#yona is an okay character like not the best but certainly not the worst#b or c tier character at best#she is lovely to you and i 100% think she would be supportive

Why neurodivergents & queers love Rumiko's works.
Diclaimer: I'm not here to change your mind if u dont like Rumiko's works and find them problematic. That's you're point of view. I'm just explaining my points of view.
At this point I'm jaded of anti problematic haters. I'm in the Omori fandom too after all. So I've heard it all before...
-
I headcanon all of Rumiko's characters as neurodivergent and queer.
First Urusei Yatsura: It's canon that Ataru isnt "normal". It's stated by every character in the series.
Lum, is the most obvious, since she's an Alien.
-
With Ranma: he turns into a girl. Very "not normal"
(I feel like Akane's prob the most normal character Rumiko has ever written, lol)
-
With Inuyasha: He's half demon. Not normal.
Kagome: got spiritual powers and isnt afraid of danger at all (which isnt very normal xD)
-
Makes since all these "abnormal" characters are very liked by neurodivergents & queers.

G, L, Y, U for the asks!
Thanks!
G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?
Lol, boy, and how! I live and breathe otpâs. My very first otp was probably Seto Kaiba x Serenity Wheeler, from YuGiOh. They were the first fanfic I ever read on fanfiction.net, lol. First otp ship I ever contributed to fandom for was Sesshomaru x Kagome from Inuyasha, where I wrote my very first fics and did fanart.
Though if we want to get really cheeky, I could argue that my very first ship was the knife and the spoon, from cutlery and making them kiss as a tiny kiddo, lol.
L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isnât one of your faves. (Characters youâre neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)
Hmmm, this is weirdly tough for me, not the complimenting part, but because I have a weird metric of how I view characters. Hm, letâs go with⌠Mizora. Iâm overall neutral on her but I appreciate her petty bitch energy. If I were a cambion, Iâd like to be as ambitious as Raphael but in reality Iâd be like Mizora and I do appreciate a good petty play. Itâs the Gemini in me, lol.
U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why theyâre your favorites.
I have many favorites but Iâll go with Harley Quinn from Batman, Grunkle Stan from Gravity Falls, and since brainrot be real, Raphael from BG3.
Harley Quinn has been a favorite character of mine since I was a kid watching Batman the Animated Series. Iâve always been a fan of theatrical aesthetics (circus, theatre, commedia dellâarte, etc) and sheâs just such a fun character. Iâve really liked over the years how sheâs waffled between villain and anti-hero and how sheâs not a perfect victim. Also Harley Quinn x Poison Ivy is a top tier ship.
Grunkle Stan because one of my biggest weaknesses in fiction is a sad morally grey older man but who is also protective of his family. Heâs fucked up in his life so many times but he keeps trying. Iâm a sucker for that. But also heâs just a great character. Heâs made me laugh and cry and honestly thatâs just a good criteria for any character. Iâve 100% played the fanmade Grunkle dating simulator and no regrets or shame.
And speaking of morally grey, or in this case, completely terrible older men. Raphael, my beloved. I played BG3 in its EA days and the very first time he appeared I was smitten. His voice obviously but also he had my favorite introduction into the game (and still does). The fact that his devil transformation involved a snazzy belt and different shoes is what really sold him to me. Heâs so stupidly extra and it calls to my theatre kid nature, lol. I do miss the EA days of him roasting our camp 5 sec after inviting himself.
All that being said, I just enjoy his character within the game too. I like that heâs obviously a villain but heâs chill with us. In part because he wants something from us but I like that it kinda transforms for him into a double obsession. Obviously, crown comes first but thereâs something just so delightfully fun about him writing about our character in his journal (entry number 2 is the stuff ships are made of). That heâs a cringefail theatre kid with daddy issues while being thousands of years old is partly what makes him endearing. I loved finding his fanfiction in his house and I love how stupidly bad his hell domination plan is (youâre doing amazing sweetie).
And one other bonus to liking his character is I got to make new friends and moots in particular in his corner of the fandom. đ
Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you arenât in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?
Hm, Iâd say currently, Helluva Boss, Iâve got a couple friends into that show. Itâs certainly on my list of things to eventually sit down and watch but for now I see it through what my friends show me. Looks good though!

let's talk about how kikyo was a 18/19 yr old trying to be w a 15 yr old half demon, with her weird ass
Let's talk about how the 15 year old Kagome bonded with the much older hanyou. Even though Rumiko said he's 15 and ages differently, it doesn't change the fact that centuries have passed between the two.
kagome is from modern times, and inuyasha from ancient times. For her, he could be an ancestor.
Now hold on. The age between InuKik is 3 years. This is not a pdo because Kikyou is also a teenager. The age of adulthood in Japan was 21 when this series was written. I think in 2020 they changed it to 18 for one reason(i'm not sure),The age of consent for s*x is 13 in Japan, which I disagree with. It doesn't work like in the west. A 3 year age difference doesn't make it a pdo. Do you understand? For all of you, even a guy/woman who is a year older than their love interest makes it a p*do, but between Inuyasha and Kagome there is this significant difference because she is a 15 year old child who liked a guy who is many many centuries older than her. And no matter how Rumiko would like to defend it. She comes from the future and he from the past. But I don't care because their relationship was shown differently to a certain other and I really don't care. This ship has other problems than what I have the right to criticize. I have never mentioned their ages in my criticism, although I could have. So logically, Kagome bonded with 'grandfather', who could be her ancestor. And you point out the 3-year difference between InuKik, where both are teenagers, only Kikyou had to mature faster because she had to take care of her sister, be her father and mother and take care of the village, it won't change the fact that she is a teenager and died as a teenager.
Pdo is between Sess///Rin,also Sesshomaru is a groomer. But that's not the case with InuKik and Inukag. They work differently. Age has never been an argument for me, but yours clearly is. It's a series based on a girl traveling to the past. Everyone there is older than her, and I have the impression that because of Kagome's similarity to Rin, Rin may be her ancestor.
And the best part is that she will grow old and die in the future, and he will stay young 𤣠He would have to become human to grow old with her and die before or after her, but that will never happen. He will watch her grow old, weaken and take her last breath, and he will remain young and in the same young body đ¤Ł
If my hatred of Kagome bothers you so much, if you block me and your life will be better. You didn't understand my post. Love however you want and however much you want, I don't care. I will express what I want on MY blog and I am against Kagome and you won't change that.
I'll repeat this: I'm not here to argue, just to express my opinion. I don't persecute anti Kikyou, although I've seen you guys complain a lot, also you guys specifically looking for drama. Not here. The fandom is diverse and it's time to understand that everyone has the right to say whatever they want about fictional characters. Not everyone will like Kikyou, someone can write whatever they want about her and the same goes for kagome. She's no different than Kikyou. You may disagree with me like I do with you, but that's all.
Your whining to me about how much you don't like my hatred and trying to make the worst Kikyou in my eyes doesn't work. You're the one showing how much you hate the fact that I criticize Kagome so much.
Oh, and one more thing. I haven't been interested in ship wars for a long time. I separate Kagome from ships and I hate her as an individual, not because she's with Inuyasha. I have other reasons to dislike her and this is entirely her fault. Not the ship.
It's funny how you point out Kikyou's age and her relationship with Inuyasha, which is a small difference between them, but you don't see how big the time gap is in your ship. I hope I helped. No thanks, lol.
Now seriously. I think that between InuKik and InuKag age plays the smallest role here because it is fantasy and none of these relationships despite the age difference makes sense to bring up as an argument because logically it makes no sense in this series for some reasons that I understand. I do not consider inukag a p*do ship and the same with InuKik.
I, as Kikyou stan, can admit the flaws and advantages of Kikyou and my ship, but you can't move on and understand that Kagome and Inukag are not perfect and have flaws that people have the right to point out, instead of discussing you like to create drama and argue with others who don't love Inukag and don't worship Kagome as a 'divine figure without flaws'
time to move and accept Kagome will be criticized and hated as much as a ship, if not me then someone else will say it. Don't make yourself a victim because you are not better. Can't you stand it? At least you know what InuKik/Kikyou fans feel being attacked and humiliated by you for years. Your anger and your arguments are pathetic. Move on and accept what you have no influence on.
This is my last answer to you.

god for a fandom thatâs so fucking obsessed with trying to avoid ~problematic~ stuff at LEAST on the tumblr front youâd think thereâd be a lot more kagsan shippers considering itâs technically the only one without some form of agegap + itâs gay
legitimately when i first entered the fandom i ASSUMED judging it on other more normal fandoms that iâd find a lot of kagsan and generally anti-mirsan attitude (considering the whole âtouched her butt without permission for like 300 chaptersâ thing) and bc kagome is 15 and sango is 16 and its gay
all the drama with sessrin was expected but i truly sincerely thought kagsan would be a much more popular ship and i was caught off-guard by how INCREDIBLY rigid this fandom is with shipping outside the canon ships in general

Redditors said the anime made people hate Kagome and the love corner/triangle but on tumblr thereâs only 2/3 blogs (and a few other casual haters) that try and use the manga as hate evidence but clearly references the anime to the point where I donât even think they actually read the manga or watched the anime to its completion?
Then again i think 2 of those blogs gets likes from misogynistic anti Juvia from Fairy Tail anime. Says a lot about that toxic blog. I didnât realize they do this in other fandoms as well.
First of all, the love triangle/corner is plot relevant, so there is no point in shipping wars. Second, is it really all that difficult to do research? I mean, I just searched reddit, but maybe you canât access it. In any case, i think you should just reread the series, since you clearly have access to that if not anything else. Because you really missed the point, somehow.

Over the last two weeks, I've seen a few people in the InuKag fandom reporting what I guess anti-Kagome IY fans are saying about her. This is just your friendly reminder that your fandom experience is yours to curate. If someone is saying shit about a character you love that is obviously unhinged, or even very hinged but you don't care because you still love them, it's more than cool to block them. I don't think you can win arguments against people in these kinds of fandom situations.
I don't know why someone would spend their time hating on a fictional character. I'm not being Pollyanna toxic positivity here. I am down to deconstruct characters and their flaws. But like, spending my time hearing about how someone doesn't like something I love? I've already dedicated way too much time to them in this post alone.

My Opinion on the InuKag/YH Manga Controversy
I think both parties have gone a little bit overboard.
I think some of the inukags who are suddenly praising the mangaka have seemed to forget that he still did the panty shots and all of that shit, and shouldn't start trusting him just because he gave us a little bit more of what we actually wanted to see from the sequel. Yes, his version is better, but I don't think we should all suddenly be trusting it.
HOWEVER, I also think that Inukag shippers are entitled to enjoying the parts of the manga they do like. It's been no different when, with the anime, people still enjoyed and talked about scenes and characters that they liked enough to gush about it or consider it apart of their personal canon.
Like how a lot of us gush about Moroha's or other characters' appearances/actions in the anime even if we still dislike or don't agree w/ other parts of the anime.
I think most inukag shippers are only appreciating the the individual inukagmor moments people post about on social media, or if they do read the manga, will do so w/o actually buying it, and I think that on it's own is okay.
I don't think people should start wasting their money on this manga, because there really are plenty of better stories than YH, plus the fan content is much better than YH as well (and FREE), but to each his own I guess. You can't stop people from choosing how they spend their money. I just hope buyers of the manga know where that money is going to.
That being said, I think other people in the fandom getting mad at inukag shippers are being a little too intense in the reactions. And some of them, but not all, have been negative about inukag shippers simply enjoying individual moments from the manga. Some of these shippers haven't even been praising or hero-worshipping the manga, and have still pointed out things about it they dislike (like sessrin). They've simply just been enjoying the individual moments w/ inukag, and, again, I think that's okay.
But some people have just been very nasty in their anger, and while I totally understand and even agree w/ some of the points they've made, I think it's gone a little overboard, especially when some people generalize the WHOLE inukag fandom of being hypocritical in regards to the manga.
In short, both sides of the argument have gone a bit crazy to some extent.
Some of the inukag shippers (who are mostly on twitter) for suddenly doing a 180 and hero-worshipping the mangaka even tho he's still proven to be untrustworthy and suspicious.
Like, guys, I like the individual inukagmor snippets from the manga too, but don't forget the type of content he's known for and that he still drew Moroha in her panties. Don't give a person like that your money, especially when some of it goes to Sunrise to profit the YH anime, potentially making it go on longer when we all just want it to be cancelled and dead by this point.
And some of the people reacting to these inukag shippers in their intensity and false ideas that ALL inukags are hypocritical and that it's a bad thing for shippers to so much as like the individual parts of the manga they do enjoy. Not all of you guys are like this, of course, but I have seen a few of you who react like this and get very nasty about it, too.
Guys, there's a difference between liking something versus hero-worshipping. And I think inukag shippers are not in the wrong at all for simply liking certain moments/parts of the manga. I think it's even okay to acknowledge that between the 2 versions of Yashahime, the manga is better and more put together. It's just not a game-changer, and that's when people start proclaiming that it is is when people start going overboard.
At the end of the day, I think both sides are entitled to their opinions, but should still keep the things I've talked about in mind.
Inukaggers, don't start trusting or hero-worshipping the manga or mangaka just because he's given us some nice inukagmor moments. He's still not excused from certain decisions he made in regards to this manga and the content he's known for.
People who are angry at inukag shippers, please don't generalize the inukag fandom as a whole about being hypocrites or confusing enjoyment of certain things to be just as bad as hero-worshipping. Most inukag shippers have focused on the inukagmor moments they do enjoy, and then moved on w/ their day. Some have even shown that their initial stances and opinions on YH and other stuff about it have not changed in the slightest. They just enjoy the parts they like, and carry on.
So that's my opinion on the inukag fandom/YH manga discourse. I understand if you disagree with me on certain things I said in this post, but these are my honest-to-God feelings on the matter and how I've understood the situation. I'm very split down the middle, as you can see.
I just feel like while I can see both sides, both are also in the wrong in some way, and I think we just need to chill and/or realize a couple things.
But that's just me. Again, it's fine if you disagree.
