We had an amazing outing at the POP schooling show at the Florida Horse Park!! Thisismyday made his first appearance at a three phase, and only his second show post-track (a last-minute stand-in when a stalemate blew an abcess). He finished in a brilliant 4th place after having to swim through dressage, navigating a very twisty stadium, and blasting through cross-country like he's done it all his life. This amazing 4 yo is something special. I am very excited for his future. Passionate Girl continues to improve at every outing. I love how her ridability is improving every day. With once of her best scores in dressage to date, and definitely her best stadium round, she went to cross- country with the confidence I love to feel in my horses.... finishing fourth in a tough group. She got some great compliments today, and i know this is just the beginning. I can't thank my supporters and sponsors enough for all that they do for me and my horses. Afgelopen week ook Ellen mogen verblijden met een zadel uit mijn private collection. Dat ik een verzamelaar ben van alle mogelijke zadelmerken moge duidelijk zijn. Voordat ik besloot als zadelmaker aan de slag te gaan probeerde ik dressuurruiter zijn en verschillende paarden passeerden de revue. Sommige verkocht ik en sommige verdwenen via de achterdeur omdat ze kapot gingen. Alleen de zadels bleven achter na al dat blessureleed. Wie bewaart heeft wat, en de hoop dat ik ooit nog Lichte Tour ga rijden heb ik opgegeven. Dus mijn verzameling van de afgelopen 20 jaar mag uitgedund worden. Ellen had geluk voor haar knappe Moorlands Bodyguard merrie. Ze koos voor het comfort van een Antares Cadence dressuurzadel. Het foamkussen en de foam zit maakt dat de ruiter echt in het zadel wegsmelt. De boomvorm paste door de lichte cureve mooi op de rug van de merrie en het schoof geen milimeter. Het gaf Ellen de steun die ze in geen enkel ander zadel ooit had gevoeld. Wat wil je door het zeer zachte kalfsleer, smalle twist en onwijs zachte zitting. Anybody finishing a championship is a winner✌🏻 Louise van Dijck on the other hand is a legend🙏🏻 She did not win but instead rode the cross country course from fence 3 and onward with just the one stirrup after the left one snapped 🙀 When she lost her only functioning stirrup in a tight turn she clinged on for her life and stayed on ✌🏻 It's fair to say any saddle company out there should be proud to have her on their team!! 🏇🏇🏇 More photos like this? We had another GREAT weekend at @riverglenequestrianpark in Tennessee. We love attending the August horse trials and FEI there. Passionate Girl did her first recognized Novice. Had a lot of tension in dressage after 3 people ran into us in the warm-up (red ribbon means she might kick, not "look closer" ... lol). However, she did her best to listen to me, which is a huge improvement over the past. We are making new plans to work through the tension in the future. It was again dicey in the show jump warm-up, with a very challenging show jumping track (very few clean and clear in the whole day), but she was a trooper and is becoming more and more rideable at every venue. She was a demon on cross- country, and truly loves this part of her new job. I am so excited about her future. @runleefair had a lovely weekend that built her confidence with both horses in prep for the potential AEC's (unsure of Kentucky's view on that happening), and had some great moments with both horses, finishing 5th in a tough division on Pleasantly Saucii. That partnership is amazing. Also, on Leprechaun Lane's Drumgrey, she put some new plans to work and found out a lot of great information. That mare is ready to set the world on fire! Great job Lee, we are on the right track. So proud of the entire team, including Alex W. and Jordan (at her first event ever) for doing such a great job, and volunteering to jump judge 2 divisions on Sunday! Had an amazing return to recognized competition with some major talent!! #billiijeanthejellybean a.k.a Passionate Girl was amazing for her first recognized event and a HUGE atmosphere at @chatthillseventing, finishing 6th on her dressage score! @runleefair had a great weekend and all of the hard work and training really paid off on both horses! 5th on Pleasantly Saucii at her 3rd recognized novice (tied for 2nd after dressage, but the sloppy footing in stadium had everyone a little shook up), and 7th on Leprechaun Lane's Drumgrey!
