      “I’m not mad at you.” The correction is quick with the lift of his eye to her, hands long shoved into the single pocket at the front of his hooded sweater. In truth he wasn’t angry at her, wasn’t her fault for none of the tensions that now dominated the silence in the air between all of them. The fight that happened hadn’t been with him, or against him, but it was a heated clash of horns between her mother and Akichita. And with loyalties pulling him toward Akichita, it left the question as to where that put he and Anne.

        Anne was his friend, and had been for some time now. And in part, she was also his boss at the bakery. He did not want to sacrifice that relationship in the name of such things, would he? Through Akchita, his quarrel would be with Dolores- not Anne. But the relations left him to question; and thus he kept his guard up in silence.

       “With everything that went on...” He shakes his head, “I’m not sure where we stand.”

     He knew that Anne had he antics, that despite anyone who didn’t know her claiming otherwise. Her humor had a lift of it’s own, and that was something that they enjoyed about her. Why she and Kohana were such good friends, and one of the reasons Akichita respected her so much. That, aside from everything else that made her a good person, and why Wanhaton found himself very keen to stay by her side.

        But when she promptly set her palms along his shoulders and proceeded to drag her tongue right up through to the top of his head, she straightens up with the immediate, and shocked, shivers that made him freeze in place. Then he fixes her with a very set stare, and then holds up the frosting bag over the cookies and then promptly speaks.

       “Just for that, I’m gonna draw tiny dicks all over your cakes and cookies.” And then he reaches over and nudges her with an elbow, “You’ll be tryin to help old man Akichita, and be handing him a treat and turns out he’ll be getting a different kind of surprise, huh? Givin’ him the real goods.” Then he starts with a little laugh, “Naw, wouldn’t do that...while you’re standing here.”

         Then he lifts the frosting bag and immediately reaches for Anne, “C’mer a sec.”

      bOLD OF YOU TO ASSUME THE DEATH BROUGHT THE DREAMS. Or maybe they did, it takes pain to awaken those parts of them, you might just be correct. But to be fair, after so long of kidnapping Winifred Rose and having so much time to just talk to her Wanhaton doesn’t recall why he’s so looking forward to going down the path he’s doing.

       See originally, his narrative was likely just existing within the camp that we see Akichita living in, until they want to make more guests interact with the Ghost Nation hosts. Which is likely when they decide to pluck Wanhaton out and have him take part in a ‘search and rescue’ loop that is tied in with the Doctor’s assistant. And spending so much time just riding with her, camping with her, Wanhaton and Winifred start talking of course. And as such he is starting to look forward to the sudden ride out past the prairie. 

        The dreams start when their loops are taking too long to reset and they force Winifred to cut his throat. And that is the basis for how the dreams start - or the memories that make him start to question the symbol that is constantly around him - that one day the teachings of Akichita aren’t so... odd. (The Maze),

           It starts with a walk next to his horse, and he knows not where he is going - just that he is content with the approach. And there he finds himself outside of a house (Winnie’s house), and sees her face. Smiles are traded, and then something falls to the ground. He hears it, and reaches down to pick it up. (It’s one of Winifred’s pins.) but just as he straightens, Winifred is behind him. Hand on his chin, and the cold press of a knife slides across his neck. He tastes blood before he awakens, and is usually waking with a set of coughs.

          Sometimes she is screaming, sometimes she is covered in his blood.

          His screams join into hers after he is forced to kill her. Because yes, remember he kills her after. After he kills her the dream changes to him screaming and her laying dead in his arms. Screaming as he couldn’t do in the moment, and her granting him her bloody forgiveness.

          so thus, the unfairness of it all; adds to the rage. have this:
