Wrapping up Blade of the Immortal's prison break arc...

I got to the end of a chapter, saw this person, went Huh? turned the page and saw the mask... realised who he was just a hair before Rin did.

Oh honey. Oh my poor boy. The severed limb is really the least unsettling thing about this scene.

A thoroughline:

Pictured: our boy Anotsu having some Thoughts about descendants and the like.

Apparently his life's work being destroyed made him change his mind a little.

And perhaps the funniest thing to me personally: him going "shit girl ur so right I was on some bullshit back there" immediately after she stabbed him.

They're enemies, but they've been enemies long enough that they just vibe, I guess.

It's nice to hang out with someone who understands, I guess.

Your shiita work is amazing, but also … another Anotsu x Makie fan?! These two drove me crazy and I still think about them a lot.

Oh my God, please come closer...!

Makihisa hit so hard it's not even funny. They easily match Shiita's devotion and mutual love, Itasasu's intensity and dysfunction and both of those pairings' tragedy. Makie is a very fascinating character, moreso even than Kagehisa, which is refreshing for a het pairing! If there had been a BotI fandom to speak of I would have explored them much more in my drawings, but even so they will always have a spot in my heart!
