Okay, so I've been watching a lot of Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen films and here are my thoughts so far:
Charlie Countryman -kinda boring, his roommates at the hostel just disappear 3/4s into the movie and then show up at the end. -Mads was the best part. -The ending felt kinda cheap. The movie starts by letting everyone believe Charlie died, but when we actually get to the scene, he survives. Then Mads' character just lets to cop shoot him, which I think is against his character.
Adam (2009) -It was cute and wholesome. -I'm not autistic, so I can't really talk about the representation. -Overall I enjoyed it, didn't really like Beth or her dad.
Polar (2019) -Okay, so this is basically a dumb action movie that relies of oversexualizing women, but what else is new. I enjoyed seeing Mads kick ass, but the sex scenes were kinda long. (I might just not be a big fan of sex scenes) -I think it could have been more interesting if the other assassins had more distinct personalities. Like Sindy is the one that we never see kill anyone and is mainly used as bait, and to fuck their target. I think she could've been given more depth. Especially because there's one scene where someone hits her, and she has a very negative reaction to it (Rightly so). I just think it'd be interesting to see how she feels about being used by the group as just bait. -For a dumb action movie, the end fight was pretty boring. The main villain basically stands there while he kills him. -All that being said, I did like the Vanessa and Mads scenes.
Another Round -Honestly, it was really good. I can't really say anything else about it. The ending was sad, but nice.
Confessions of a Shopaholic -I loved it, it was probably my favorite movie so far. -It's just really funny, and doesn't take itself too seriously. -Hugh was amazing, as always, and so was Isla Fisher. -Overall, it was really enjoyable, and I don't have any complaints.

it's also very important to me that (in the films) Boromir specifically is the one who picks up and carries Frodo from the scene of the bridge of Khazad-dum. While Aragorn is still turned to fight, Boromir is the one holding back Frodo and carrying, cradling him, from the battle. He's also the one who begs for a moment for all of them to grieve. It's such a beautiful moment of empathy. Especially given that his previous interaction with Frodo on Caradhras, that moment of fear and doubt. It makes somehow makes the entire scene on Amon Hen, all of it, even sadder.
later on the border of Lothlorien, as Aragorn argues with Haldir, Boromir is the one who takes a moment to comfort Frodo, saying "You carry a heavy burden; do not carry the weight of the dead."
Aragorn has spent his life in the wilds with other rangers and among the elves. He has fought and seen many things, but I wonder if it isn't usually among people who are as hardy and hardened as he is. He is protecting the world from the forces of darkness, but from afar. Boromir has spent his life defending his own city, a city full of civilians. While he keeps company with other nobles and warriors, perhaps he is more aware of the toll on those who are not used to such a life. And again, given the scene on Caradhras, given what happens on Amon Hen, it matters so much that he shows real care and empathy for Frodo in some of the worst moments of their journey.

More people need to watch Mads Mikkelsen's Danish films.
I'm an avid film enthusiast and also very picky about the films I watch. Then hannibal happened and the rest is history...( now you'd catch me watching Ads on YouTube cause it has Mads's shadow in it lol. Karma)
Once I fell in love with Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy I decided to watch most of their existing individual projects and I started of with Mads and HOLY SHIT!?!
Now I've always known that Mads Mikkelsen is a tremendously good actor but what I didn't expect is to fall in love with Danish films :").
I've absolutely loved:
- Another Round. (I'VE NEVER SEEN A MORE BEAUTIFUL ENDING SEQUENCE OF A MOVIE. I Can't-)
-The promised land. (IT'S REALLY GOOD)
- Adam's Apple. (Unexpectedly beautiful. Personal fav)
-Flickering Lights. (Heartwarming watch)
-Men and Chicken. (ELIAS IS A BABY)
-Riders of Justice (Heartwarming watch + DADDY MADS DADDY MADS)
So far and I'm planning on watching ALL of his films eventually! He's such a versatile actor 👏! HIS DANISH FILMS DESERVE MORE RECOGNITION Y'ALL!

these lists from my letterboxd may help- in regards to the second list the reason why I can’t rewatch some are due to more personal triggers and not because they’re THAT fucked up.
my favorites out of these are the hunt, the skin I live in, suicide club, and audition. the hunt is heartbreaking though like genuinely so heartbreaking

I started watching "Unit One" solely because of Mads Mikkelsen. I was on a mission to watch everything he ever acted/ appeared on. (I still am).
However, I'm extremely picky about serieses. Then again, HEU led me to places that I wouldn't have visited with a gun so I was like fuck it, let's start watching a wholeass series cause MADS MIKKELSEN LOOKED HOT AF IN IT.
Now oh boy... Little did I know that I'd end up enjoying Unit One SO much! It's an amazing show and now ik why it's called a Danish classic! All the actors in it did an AMAZING job and goddamn European men are HOT.
I've developed a massive crush on Lars Brygmann

I've known him from "Riders of justice" but I wasn't prepared for THIS ^
I'm so grateful that I decided to watch Mads Mikkelsen's Danish stuff. It has been such a crazy ride. I've only 7 eps left of this show and I'm definitely gonna miss Allan, La Cour , Ingrid and Gabby :")

Now about Mads, (Can't help it)
I've always loved exploring media that are not "Hollywood". Being born in South Asia, I grew up with Bollywood and Anime so I always knew that there are AMAZING stuff out there that are being made all over the world. I just didn't have any source which I could follow when it came to native European media. Then Hannibal happened along with MADS MIKKELSEN. Mads always carries a piece of his root everywhere he goes and that is what makes him SO EXTREMELY charming to me. I love his accent, his non Hollywood teeth, his god like body structure and how fucking original this man is. Getting to explore his Danish films and Serieses made me fall for this man even harder than before. He's one of a kind.
Bonus: LARS MIKKELSEN. I need to thank the Mikkelsen parents atp 🙏. I'm a slut for these brothers.

ANOTHER ROUND- 2020 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Tumblr media
Four middle-aged friends test a theory stating that a certain level of blood alcohol content aids creativity. However, they find themselves in a mess after they take the experiment too far...
A very enjoyable Danish comedy/drama starring Mads Mikkelsen and Directed by Thomas Vinterberg. Great performances by the main group of friends it was great to see them having fun, was hilarious seeing them all lose control.

Introduction
“The power of music flows through my art...”
Christine, an artistic and funny soul with a passion for creativity, music, and nature.
Tumblr media
About me:
I'm an artist at heart, currently studying fine arts in Greece, where I'm constantly exploring new ways to express myself. My artwork is deeply influenced by my cultural roots and personal experiences.
Music:
Music has always been a significant part of my life, providing solace and inspiration through its powerful melodies and lyrics. I enjoy a diverse range of genres, especially rock, classic, and contemporary music. Here are some songs that particularly resonate with me:
• “Bloodsucker” by CIL: This hauntingly beautiful track captures deep emotions and transports me to another world.
• “Can’t Remember to Forget You” by Shakira ft. Rihanna: energy and passion in this song always uplift my spirits.
• “I Wanna Be Yours” by Arctic Monkeys: poetic lyrics and catchy melody make this song a favorite of mine.
• “Moth Into Flame” by Metallica: powerful song embodies the raw intensity of metal, reflecting themes of desire and the allure of danger with its electrifying riffs and compelling lyrics.
I also have a passion for animals and nature. Hiking is my escape, and I enjoy capturing moments through photography and exploring design through graphic work. Plus, I love to sprinkle humor into my life and share a laugh with others!
Movies & Series I Love:
I’m a big fan of Mads Mikkelsen, Tom Ellis, Dylan o’brien, and David Tennant and more. My favorite series include Hannibal, Lucifer, Teen Wolf, Good Omens, Exploding Kittens and Hemlock Grove. For movies, I love Culpa Mia, Gabriel’s Inferno, Another Round, Shake it all about, The Conjuring, Doctor Strange, and The Matrix, American Psycho, Beetlejuice etc.
Personal Vibes:
I’m a pretty sociable person, though I might seem shy at first. Once I get comfortable, I really enjoy connecting and engaging with others online. I'm here to share my passions, bring some humor, and discover new inspirations.
