webtoon up to their crappy money making BS again 😐 aren't they already making enough money off their tens of millions of monthly readers? Did they set up this whole coin system with the end goal of using their site as an advertising platform?

Webtoon doesn't even feel like it's about web comics anymore. It's about piggybacking off creators' hard work to suck money from its users, credit card or not.

If the comic is ongoing, there's a fast pass system, with coins to advance. If the comic is finished, there's a daily pass system, with coins to advance. If the comic is popular and finished in another language, there's both. A popular webtoon will be complete and you have 60 days max to binge read before it's paywalled despite the fact you might have kept up with it for years at that point.

Now it's not enough for you to scroll through the episodes to get coins, now they want you to do a quiz. There might not even be enough slots for everyone to do the quiz! There was a time when there was no expiration date on coins you earned. Now you only get to keep the coins for 7 days. Go drop dead, right now.

From what I've read, creators don't get paid if someone purchases fast pass with free coins. I never thought webtoon was a benevolent entity creating a safe haven for aspiring comic creators, but their real greed as a company under multibillion-won-earning Naver is finally showing.

There's something deeply funny to me about how every time I make a "C!Dream has hoarding compulsions" someone will say something that it's slightly insane about it

No, thats not something dragons do, that's something traumatized people do. That's something traumatized people do irl. That's something I do

Hoarding is serious and it completely fucks up your ability to think. You're not making a cute gold pile, you're stockpiling for emergencies. You can trow anything away because "what if you need it? What if something happens and thats exactly what you needed and you'll regret throwing it away forever?"

Guarding territory is also not healthy! You're isolating yourself, normally even from people you like. Dream is keeping Punz away from the prison (where he lives most time), not because they're a threat but because no one can come to the prison. And by doing that he's cutting himself off of help he desperately needs

I'm not like, mad or anything (this is funny to me) and the first time I made a post like that someone else had also said something slightly insane but this time I felt I needed to address it because hoarding is not a cute thing you can give to a whole family line, at least not the type of hoarding C!Dream is doing

Okay, even if that was true...he would always find Macaque enchanting. Never once boring of the sight before him — especially on the rare occasions where his signature ears would be out. Ever since the first moment to now those ears had always managed to catch his gaze. Memorizing him with their sight and finding them simply divine as they sat there like delicate and beautiful lotus blossoms.

Might do that thing that was suggested in a YouTube video once and make a rule to send all emails that say unsubscribe to a separate folder to be dealt with when spoons.

I even got this super creepy one from a site saying they saw I was browsing and am I still interested in X + Y item - i got the major ick + basically vowed never to buy from them again lol. Plus they cost too much for quality control worse than dropshippers/AliExpress etc.

The drama at work atm is that there's a 20inch pikachu squishmallow that has dust stains/mold on it's tail and a few different people are eyeing it off hoping to get it at a reduced price (it costs fucking $79 which is INSANE to me. The prices of squishmallows period are crazy), but the mangers are haters who refuse to do anything nice that isn't 'their idea' (e.g. they can write off damaged/opened chocolate boxes and put them in the tea room but if we do the same thing we get in trouble). I don't know if they get money back if we claim mold but they'd rather throw it away then sell it to one of us for cheap anyway.

The manager who usually handles this kind of stuff also made a comment about my work friend (one of the main people interested) 'never paying full price for anything' and I thought that was a real cunt thing to say. She's not wrong in the way that my co-worker does love a bargain and is always stashing clearance stuff, but the way she said it was just rude. And it's not like she's stealing either, she's paying the same as customers (minus a few cents or so thanks to the generous employee discount), but once again the managers hate us.
