this is oddly specific but you do the awkward fumbling 'like each other but wont admit to themselves yet' stage REALLY well. I feel like the thought processes and even actions you have each character go through just sums up that awkward progression and makes relationships feel more authentic

and i guess now is a good time to tell you but Callum's performance/hollow desperation in both the regular version and alternative ending of Husk where Rayla dies in his arms is to this day chefs kiss perfection 💋 i will reread that fic for the rest of my life

OMG, that is legit one of my favourite things to write (see Purgatory, Zoom-mates, A Dark Alternative 😆), so it makes me deliriously happy to hear you enjoy it! I love a slow burn but Rayllum are so good at being friends and caring for each other, you gotta throw a spanner in the works to keep them apart. Friends to lovers or even strangers to lovers where they’re getting vibes but maybe they’re just seeing what they want to see and if they are and they mess stuff up and then also potentially mess up their amazing friendship?

And thank you so much for your kind words about Husk! Even after all these years, that still is one of my favourite things I’ve written. It always makes me so happy to hear people re-read my stuff, but it’s super extra special to hear that about that fic in particular. ❤️

This is so fun because it’s like I get to brag about some of my favorite authors TO those authors. It’s also really hard to pick a ‘specialty’ for you - you’re a bit of a jane of all trades: character portrayal, world building, plot development, pace, laugh-out-loud wit-bits.

But I think if all of that were thrown into a blender labeled ‘specialty’, it’s the way you capture a moment. What I mean is, when I read your works, I am in the moment with the characters: whether it’s filled with tension, caked with irony, or a looming reveal I find myself engrossed in the moments you’re creating. Sometimes I get to the end of a paragraph and then immediately want/need to reread it again to relive the beats or charm or clever.

I’ve maybe thought/said/written this before, but as a branch of that is the way you keep the whole reading experience light. I never leave your works feeling heavier from them. The topics and themes might lean heavy, but you manage this amazing balancing act of fleshing out those details while never putting that weight on the reader, and that feels like such a special skill to bake into your writing.

Me fascina todo lo que es suspenso y horror psicológico y me encantaría escribir un libro posta sobre el tema. En los días en los que me siento particularmente delulu fantaseo con escribir ese libro y que tenga adaptación cinematográfica 😭
