“Well I don’t know anything about what a cracked pearl would represent. I suppose some might think I abandoned wisdom when I decided to bury my wife with my Pearl and wear hers in memory of her. Much like some question Alpha’s wisdom for having humans turn Naupaka’s fang into a necklace for him to wear. We both just want to remember the woman that completed our lives, and gave us wonderful sons to look after. I’m sorry I do not have some crazy story about how I murdered someone and my pearl shattered in response to me destroying the sanctity of my morals. Just the sad tale of a man who misses his wife dearly and wants to honor her memory.”

He tilts his head a little humming, “How do you even see?”

You’re certainly a strange fellow... aren’t you supposed to have like... 2 big diamond eyes or something? Then again, I don’t meet too many Sableye.
