RBI Warnings: Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Schemes
The Reserve Bank of India issued a notification on August 29, 2024, warning that deceitful individuals are exploiting the RBI’s name to swindle the public. The RBI has noticed an alarming pattern of fraudsters employing both alluring and coercive strategies to trick people and businesses. In the digital era, it’s vital to comprehend these methods and protect oneself from such…

Here's what's going on in Ohio right now. Heavy stuff ahead.
First, I want to apologize for the misinformation in my original post. I am still learning about legislative processes. To correct: the changes to ODH and OMHAS in regards to gender therapy are not a bill, they are changes in regulations.
This is important because citizens CAN affect rule changes. There is an open commentary period where your submissions get counted and can affect how they write new regulations.
Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, legal advocate, or medical professional. I'm just a dude who had to have it all explained to me.
The first one is Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services. The rules proposed would make the already prohibitive process of gender transition even harder. In order to diagnose and treat gender dysphoria, a hospital needs to have a board certified psychologist per patient, a board certified endocrinologist familiar with the age group being diagnosed per patient, and a medical ethicist overseeing the hospital's plan for transition. 'Board certified' does not guarantee that the specialist is trans-friendly. It must include a detransition plan. Hospitals would have to report compliance annually. The professionals must have a contractual relationship with the patient, but do not need to offer in-person care. (In this instance, I'll get to that in the next rule change.)
This rule also deems it impermissible to prescribe gender transition care (this includes hormones, puberty blockers, or drugs) for anyone under the age of 21 without the approval of the professionals mentioned and 6 months of therapy.
There is an exception for intersex people, who may have their sex assigned to them without their consent.
The open comment period for this ends January 19 at 5pm.
Send an email to [email protected] with the subject title: "Comments on Gender Transition Care Rules."
The second one is Ohio Department of Health and it repeats a lot of the same as the first one. However, the focus is more on the regulation of doctors and paperwork. Anyone seeking transition will be put into a registry with their name redacted, but demographics like age, agab, specific diagnosis (difficult to achieve with the new regulations mentioned above), and any medications (not just related to gender transition, but any medications at all). Any cessation of care must be reported within 30 days.
This is a lot of paperwork and can overburden hospitals.
That 30 days cessation is important because if a person transfers doctors or if a clinic closes and the paperwork isn't filed, it may count as a 'detransition' when tallying demographics, even if that is not the case.
But what's curious is that the ODH regulations DO require in-person care. The rules are contradictory and vague.
The comment period for this ends Feb 5th.
Send a comment through the ODH website
Here are some important things that were mentioned at the meeting:
This is a good time to be personal with your statements. If this would disrupt your life in any way, please say so. "I fear that" "I believe this" "I worry that"- these are great ways to start your comment. An example one person gave is "I worry that this change in regulations would force me and my daughter to move out of state.'
With that being said, anything that you send to these sites will be public record, so be cautious about what you reveal about yourself in your comment.
If you are in need of help, please reach out to one of these resources:
Trans Ohio Emergency Fund Resource Page
Kaleidoscope Youth Center
If you are in need of legal advice on how to navigate all this, please call
888-LGBT-LAW
This is not everything. There is unfortunately more because Ohio decided to break a record this month with anti-trans motions. But today I'm focusing on things that we can take action on.

10 Years Of Antifa International!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
This month, the Antifa International collective celebrates our 10th anniversary! Back in 2014, we saw a need for a crew dedicated to reporting on different anti-fascist actions around the world, who could also come up with ways to support anti-fascists around the globe and promote the tenets of anti-fascism.
We started with two people and a Tumblr blog and have since grown to a collective of ten members in eight different countries, posting on nine social media platforms, where we've put up over 20,000 posts over the last ten years for our 110,000+ followers to have a look at.
Since 2014, we've also initiated a number of projects we're quite proud of!
The International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund: it was not too long after we started our collective that we saw an increasing number of anti-fascists around the world calling out for support after encountering an emergency situation resulting from their work. Whether it was court costs, legal defence fees, emergency relocations, or medical expenses - anti-fascists were facing dire consequences for standing up to hate and then would have to do whatever they could to get help dealing with those consequences. Our solution was to start a standing fund that would be devoted to providing emergency aid to anti-fascists facing problems related to their anti-fascist work. We would do whatever we could to fundraise for it on an ongoing basis, and then use the funds to help antifa in trouble. All decisions about how the Defence Fund runs and is used would be made by the people who've contributed a minimum of $20USD to it, via consensus wherever possible and majority vote where consensus was not forthcoming.   Nine years later, the International Anti-Fascist Defence Fund has provided nearly $250,000USD to more than 750 anti-fascists in 28 different countries. More than 1500 anti-fascists from around the world have been invited to participate in the Defence Fund by helping to make the decisions about how it is run and what it is used for. To our knowledge, the Defence Fund remains the only project of its kind, devoted to providing emergency support to anti-fascists around the world, but it has inspired similar defence funds.   THIS IS A PROJECT YOU COULD BE INVOLVED IN!  A minimum donation of $20USD will get you invited to participate!
International Violent Hate Crimes Research Project: from 2017-2022 we tracked media accounts of violent acts motivated by hate or committed by far-right extremists around the world. Over the course of those six years, we documented over 3000 such attacks, in which more than 1800 people were killed and a further 5254 were injured. The Project allowed us to examine trends in the types of attacks being committed; who was being targeted; and where the attacks were taking place, among other things that we wrote about in our annual reports.  Unfortunately, a lack of resources compelled us to discontinue the project in 2023.
25 July: The International Day of Solidarity with Anti-Fascist Prisoners: July 25th is a day when all anti-fascists are called upon to demonstrate their solidarity with those of us who are locked up behind bars. Taking the baton from NYC Antifa, who started this project, we've set up a website with information and resources about the day, including translations into several different languages and a list of current anti-fascist prisoners. We also maintain a donation page and sell this t-shirt designed by a former anti-fascist prisoner; every July 25th, we pool what was raised and send it directly to current antia prisoners/their families/their support teams.  WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO DO SOMETHING TO MARK JULY 25TH! You'll find some ideas and resources here. If you put anything about the Day on social media, please use the hashtag #j25antifa so others kind find your posts!
Training for Anti-Fascists: Beginning in 2020, we organized a series of online training and skillshare workshops for anti-fascists on a number of topics, including digital security practices, de-escalation tactics, open source intelligence gathering, intelligence sharing, first aid, self-defence, and far-right radicalization warning signs & intervention strategies. Each session was attended by anti-fascists from around the world, who were able to take what they learned and put it to use in their own communities.
Anti-Fascist Flags, Shirts, & Stickers: Although these were originally intended as fundraising items for the Defence Fund, the anti-fascist flags, shirts, stickers, and other items we produced soon took on a life of their own. To date, we've distributed hundreds of anti-fascist shirts & flags and nearly 90,000 anti-fascist stickers around the world.  Our Antifa International flags have been spotted in Afrin, Boston, Brooklyn, Kiev, London, the Hauge, the Scottish Highlands, Kobane, L.A., Melbourne, Oakland, Philly, Standing Rock, and Toronto, among other places.
deathtofascism.com: is the site we've set up as a repository of free, downloadable anti-fascist flyers, reports, and 'zines that anyone can read, print out and give away. If you're tabling an event or show, there is probably a few things there that you'll want to hand out!
Antifa Shirt of the Month: from 2021 to 2024, we produced a new anti-fascist t-shirt each month as a fundraiser for a different antifa crew somewhere in the world, raising nearly $20,000USD for those crews. You'll find most of those shirts still available at our online store.
We're not telling you all of this to brag (well, OK, we might be bragging a little bit!); rather, we're hoping some of what we've done over the past ten years, as volunteers, without any funding or resources to speak of, will inspire you & your friends to think about what you can do where you are!

The US is dealing with an "out-of-control" epidemic of sexually transmitted infections, according to the National Coalition of STD Directors. The warning, issued in January, followed the release of an annual data report on STIs by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The exasperation of public health officials can be felt in the very first sentence of the online announcement. "Yet again," the CDC website said, "more than 2.5 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis were reported in the United States."

Another free way to help Palestine besides daily clicks
If anyone is looking for another free way to give to Palestine, FreeRice.com is a little trivia site that gives the financial equivalence of 10 grains of rice per correct answer on multiple choice questions. If you live in the US, you may have played it in school. It only takes around 10 seconds to answer a question and there are lots of different categories.
So if you're ever looking to pass time, learn, or just have a bit of fun, you can just go to this site. I figure I'd share since I have been doing a bit of research into more ways to help for free. More info under the cut that goes into details to avoid extremely long post.
Read this!: The organization is helping other countries in need as well (which is great too) so not every single "grain" is going directly to Palestine. The website is owned by the UN World Food Programme, which is where all proceeds are going. They focus on countries in crisis. You can click here to see what countries they are currently helping. Here is also their 2023 annual report for their work in Palestine.
any comments about the inefficiency will be blocked because it is not the point of the post. the point is that its a free way to help. not everyone can donate and it's not up to people outside of palestine to decide what ways are worth it or not. its still aid going to real people with no choice and you'd have to be really self centered if you think its not worth peoples time. If you can donate to gofundmes and organizations, please do.
I encourage you to read up more on the org if you'd like to know more. I cannot tell you how much 10 grains of rice is worth, but on their wikipedia page, it says it takes about 19,200 grains of rice to feed one adult in a day, you can kind of gauge it based on that. Just like the clicks, it adds up with everyone else's. It has been pretty active since the site's conception in 2007, and still has lots of daily activity, so it will add up. I can't answer further questions and have said what I could find. Any corrections or additional info are appreciated.

Press Statement, Hamas:
The crimes of the occupation against Palestinian journalists will not silence them or deter them from continuing their role
We call for the protection of the journalists and hold accountable the perpetrators of crimes against them
The Palestinian people commemorate the Day of Loyalty to the Palestinian Journalist annually on December 31, following a decision by the Palestinian government in Gaza to honor the Palestinian journalists and their efforts and sacrifices in conveying the Palestinian narrative in our conflict with the Zionist enemy, enhancing the image of heroism and steadfastness of our people, and exposing the crimes of the occupation and its aggressive plans.
The anniversary falls this year amid ongoing Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and the legendary steadfastness of our people and resistance in the face of genocide, starvation, forced displacement and ethnic cleansing, and the failure of the occupation to achieve its aggressive goals and establish its false narrative and propaganda, and to confirm once again the importance of this national day in honoring our heroic Palestinian journalists who are united with our people, living their pains and hopes.
201 journalists have beed martyred, as they sincerely conveyed the truth about the crimes committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, and narrate the scenes of their steadfastness and perseverance on their land.
On the Day of Loyalty to the Palestinian Journalist, we affirm the following:
First: The ongoing aggressive occupation war against our people in the Gaza Strip has revealed that the Zionist occupation is the most dangerous enemy to the press and journalists in occupied Palestine, as the journalists were truly the prominent tool in exposing the crimes and massacres against our people, and the major means of debunking its false narrative and black propaganda against our people's legitimate rights to freedom and independence and the bravery of our resistance in defense of our land and sanctities.
Second: We salute all Palestinian journalists who risk their lives in order to convey the truth, heroism and steadfastness of our people and resistance, and to convey the brutal and hideous crimes and massacres committed by the Zionist occupation against our Palestinian people across the occupied territories, especially in Gaza, which has been subject to the most heinous aggressive war and genocide for 15 months.
Third: We warn against the grave danger of targeting the Palestinian journalists and its dangerous effect the national unity. We renew our call to all national factions and rights groups to work to adopt a media ethics code that enhances the role of the Palestinian journalists and their noble message, provides them a safe environment, and protects them from murder, persecution, harassment or arrest.
Fourth: We call on the rights and humanitarian groups to continue their work in exposing the crimes of the occupation against Palestinian journalists and condemn them. We urge for immediate action against the Zionist perpetrators involved in the crimes against Palestinian journalists and hold them accountable before international courts.
Finally: We also urge all media institutions worldwide to uphold the values of objectivity, honesty, and integrity in reporting the realities of the situation in Gaza and Palestine, and not to succumb to the Zionist media deception and lies.

With the flood of empty meme-ification of the bigoted violence targeting Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, I had no idea until today that there is actually a Haitian Community Help & Support Center that serves Clark County and surrounding areas.
They were founded in 2023 and help assist refugees and immigrants with a variety of pressing needs, including:
housing
interpreting
job search
welfare assistance
"Through our work and determination, community services must be accessible to people in need of them, regardless of their race, ethnicity, color, religion, or sexual orientation. We envision it as a place where people feel at home when they come for community services and are served with dignity and respect." -HCHSC
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are now navigating the community's fears amid escalating threats, including multiple evacuations due to bomb threats, and violent racism that has exploded after J.D. Vance and Trump's xenophobic fear mongering lies were platformed at the debate.
The Haitian Times and the Hatian Community Help & Support Center organized a meeting on Saturday (9/14/24), bringing together activists from across the country, NAACP leaders, journalists, and local activists in conversation with community members.
The meeting had to be moved online out of fear for residents' safety.
"Some Haitian residents in the meeting shared their experiences in recent weeks and months as the fake news went viral. Participants also shared their fears, concerns and hope for the growing community. Even as they spoke, a ruckus broke out outside the community center from which a few participants logged into the Zoom when a strange truck appeared in the parking lot carrying white occupants acting cagey." - The Haitian Times, 9/16/24
The Haitian Times reports that some parents are keeping their children home from school out of fear for their safety. One woman's cars were vandalized in the driveway of her family home- the attacker used acid and broke a window, while another resident is facing discriminatory eviction from her business location.
White supremacist groups such as neonazis "Blood Tribe" are active in the area and are associated with the origin of the anti-Haitian lie.
Springfield's annual CultureFest, a two-day event that celebrates diversity, arts, and culture, has been cancelled for safety concerns.
"I take my kids to the park usually, I cannot do that anymore. You know, I have to just stay home and just don't go out. We used to just go for a walk in the neighborhood, but we cannot do that anymore," - Jims Denis, quoted in the Columbus Dispatch, 9/14/24
It is especially important to support the Haitian immigrant community during times like these. I hope visibility will shift from unhelpful dunk-on-trump memes to instead focus on the facts of the matter, the actual harm being caused to real communities, and how we can help.
With that in mind, the Haitian Community Help & Support Center takes donations through Stripe and Paypal on their website.
"Your generosity can make a profound difference in the lives of our Haitian community. By making a donation today, you help us provide essential resources, support, and opportunities for those in need. Donate now and be a part of the change. Every contribution counts! Thank you for your support." -HCHSC

Talking about Marvel Trumps Hate on AO3
We love it when folks spread the word about Marvel Trumps Hate—the more people take part, the more money we raise, all of which goes to amazing charities!
We encourage all creators to shout from the rooftops (and their social media platforms) that they're participating in the auction, so people can check out what's on offer. We also really appreciate when creators acknowledge that their work was made for MTH to create awareness after the auction ends.
However, if you want to talk about MTH on AO3 specifically, there are a few things to keep in mind about how you're talking about the auction and your involvement so that you don't break any rules. We don't want you to get into trouble!
You can:
Say that your work was created for Marvel Trumps Hate
Provide a link to the MTH Tumblr, Twitter, or website to explain why a fanwork was created (we also encourage you to post to the appropriate annual MTH collection and use the gifting function to gift a work to the person who won your fanwork)
Refer to your fanwork as a gift (NOT commission or charity/gift commission) for your winner
You can't:
Say that you're participating in a current or upcoming charity auction and link to your auction listing (or anyone else's) in your author's notes, footnotes, or elsewhere on AO3
Call an MTH work a commission anywhere on AO3—instead, say that it's a gift for your winner for the Marvel Trumps Hate event
Solicit money by asking people to bid on you, encouraging donations to a charity and/or including a link to the charity or your auction listing, or mentioning that you take commissions (including charity commissions) on AO3
On platforms other than AO3, you're welcome to talk up your offerings, link to the specific charities that you're supporting through your auction offers, and share your (or others') auctions by reblogging your mthofferings.tumblr.com auction post or linking to your auction listings on the MTH website.
Why shouldn't you advertise charity auctions or use the word "commission" on AO3?
Using the right words matters.
MTH is proud to be inspired by other fandom charity auctions and positions itself within the long tradition of fans gifting fanworks and fan labor to each other. The auction event team members gift their time and talents to organize MTH, and fandom creators agree to gift their creative efforts in recognition of the donation that bidders make to the nonprofit organizations that are listed on our Supported Organizations page.
We want to make sure that people thinking about participating as creators and/or as bidders are 100% clear about what the auction involves and are confident about the integrity of the auction. One way of doing this is making sure that everyone knows how the money travels—directly from bidders to the nonprofit they're supporting, without ever being touched by MTH creators or the event team.
That being said, AO3 is not an advertising space and has Terms of Service around commercialization of fanworks (Section I. D5) that forbids any form of commercial promotion on AO3, even if it's for charity. This is not because exchanging money for fanworks is explicitly illegal but because the OTW legal team believes that one of the ways the archive can be protected legally, as both a collection of transformative works and as a nonprofit organization, is to have a firm "no commercial promotion" policy.
On charity events specifically, the TOS FAQ clarifies:
"The Archive will host fanworks of any origin, including fanworks created in response to charity drives or other challenges. A link to a charity drive to explain the origin of a fanwork is appropriate. Solicitation itself, however, should take place outside the Archive. We concluded that this policy was the easiest to apply fairly to everyone, given the wide range of possible solicitation activities." (AO3 TOS Content FAQ).
If you're reported by someone for soliciting on AO3 and found to be in breach of the TOS, you'll be emailed by their team, asking you to remove all the "commercial promotion" material (i.e., all the money-related words like "bid," "donation," or "commission") from the work, comment, bookmark, or profile in question. This includes tags, descriptions in author's notes, and comments on works. The Policy and Abuse committee doesn't screen fanworks; instead, all reports are made by users of the archive. That means that even though there may be places you violated these rules, the committee may not be immediately aware of it; however, as a violation can be found by a user and reported at any time, even from long, long ago, we encourage people to review the wording they used in reference to MTH—or any fandom charity events, for that matter—and make edits if necessary to be on the safe side.
Note: if this does happen to you, you can always appeal or ask for more time to rectify the issue so don't be alarmed. All Policy and Abuse reports are handled by real people who are volunteers for the organization.
We ask that you follow these guidelines so that if you spread the word about Marvel Trumps Hate on AO3, you do so in a way that won't cause you stress or trouble in the future.
If you ever lose track of this explanation and need to refer to it, we also have this information up on our website.

Tonight 12/14/24 starting at 5:30pm Pacific I'll be streaming on Picarto. Tonight is my annual Holiday fundraising stream.
Once again it's the time of year when food charities are at their greatest need. With inflation rising but wages stagnant or lowering, more people than ever are relying upon food banks to stave off hunger. This is why we once again ask you to help Second Harvest Food Bank (the highest-rated food charity on Charity Navigator) in their mission to ensure everyone who needs food gets it.
A website has been set up for it already. If you wish to donate follow this Link. We had a set a goal of $2,000 USD. As of this morning we have met that goal, but every dollar is needed to help those most in need.
Because we've met the established goal this stream is going to be NSFW.
Important. If you do make a donation and plan to be in the stream, include your Picarto username in a note when you donate. As in past years we'll be drawing names of donors and giving away the art I will be doing that night. Of course there are rules for winning a piece:
You must have donated before or during the stream.
You must have a registered Picarto username and be in the chat during stream.
You can only win once.
You must be 18 years old to win a piece.
So join me for an evening of art, stories, and the D&D report.

The reports from The Peoples' Voice never cease to amaze but this episode is nothing short of jaw-dropping.
@TPVSean reads from the King Charles III's (now-retracted) written announcement posted to the official website of Buckingham Palace. This was his annual December 25th Christmas Message to the Nation and to the Commonwealth, of which a watered-down version was broadcast in his videotaped address later that day, about the "necessity" for the "dismantling" the "concept of absolute sovereignty...for the good of humankind".
Calling for the end of sovereignty is a pretty heavy thing to lay down on your people, over whom you'd previously claimed to be the one-and-only Sovereign!
Did Charles just abdicate the British Throne?
The King of the United Kingdom and of the 14 other Commonwealth realms announced to his Subjects the impending dissolution of their own countries – and theoretically of all other countries – by saying that, "It is only by embracing a global framework – a true partnership of nations, as envisioned by the World Economic Forum's Great Reset – that we can address the profound challenges before us."
By saying this, he may have broken his Coronation Oath and he may have de facto abdicated the Throne. This is likely why the King's 2024 Christmas Message webpage got taken down by his own courtiers.
Charles Windsor's message hardly comes as a surprise, given the way the UK government has been treating its citizens, lately.
Below is my transcript of the screenshot of the now-deleted Royal announcement, posted to the Royal.uk website, at a quarter to 3AM on Christmas Morning (the emphases are mine):

Hazing is one of the most idiotic things ever perpetrated on college campuses. It is mostly a fraternity and sports team thing but occasionally can involve other organizations.
This week, President Biden signed H.R.5646 - The Stop Campus Hazing Act which is designed to prevent hazing.
A bill sparked by a dangerous hazing incident that left a Minnesota native with permanent brain injuries was signed into law by President Joe Biden this week that will require colleges and universities to report hazing incidents to the public. Danny Santulli of Eden Prairie suffered permanent alcohol-induced brain injuries following a hazing incident at a University of Missouri fraternity after he was reportedly forced to drink a gallon of vodka during an initiation ceremony in 2021. The injuries left him unable to speak or walk.
Seriously, a gallon of vodka? A group of people who require such mindlessly dangerous behavior is not worth being part of.
Under the legislation, colleges will be required to report hazing incidents in an annual security report. It also will help establish anti-hazing education programs on college campuses and require colleges and universities to publish hazing prevention policies on their websites and organizations that may have violated those guidelines.
Technically, H.R.5646 doesn't outlaw hazing. Laws regarding assault, intimidation, and reckless endangerment are part of state and local law enforcement. But under this new law, campuses are required to report to the federal government hazing incidents and to engage in hazing prevention programs.
Presumably the hazing reports will be made available by the feds in a database.
A 2008 study found that over half of college students in athletics and other extracurriculars go through hazing. Between 2000 and 2021 there were more than 50 hazing-related deaths in the U.S. NBC News reports.
Any organization which requires you to do dangerously idiotic things to become a member is obviously made up of a bunch of idiots.
