Ok so-

I feel like Mel (real name is Melany but Do Not Call her that) ends up being a franchise manager for like a restaurant or coffee shop, probably went to school for business administration too but before she settled on it she tried everything she could so she's the guy you know who had way too many jobs in a couple of years, often overlapping, short term and in different fields, so she knows a bit of everything.

Basically she's these:

I could also see her being a bartender at a gay club as a side gig at some point. That's probably where she met Yan 🤔 She inquired about one of her tattoos as an obvious flirt tactic lol

Similarly, I could see Yan (her real name is Yaneirys) doing a lot of different stuff but definitely leans for creative fields. I think the main thing she does is audio recording and mixing for a production house. She's also been rotating positions in her uncle's printing shop since she was 16 but she hates directly dealing with clients and the pay is shit, she just can't seem to leave because of family pressure and force of habit. Eventually though she does leave it to be a full time sound engineer for music and film, which she enjoys much more :3

As Graves said, "The remarkable thing about Shakespeare is that he really is very good, in spite of all the people who say he is very good," which I think sums up how I view all his plays, but I think there's an extension of me also believing that there is a tragedy tailor-made to make everyone go insane in their own special way and if you haven't felt that way yet I think you just haven't found Your shakespearean tragedy yet.

People have explained this much better than I, but part of what makes it is how character-driven his stories are and how much of a fan of ambiguity Shakespeare was creating his characters and narratives. Protagonists have deep flaws, antagonists have moments of humanization or even noble impulses. It really takes the wheel of tragedy from simply "oh no, it has been Fated that this powerless mortal shall fall" to watching step by step as they lose control of the situation and then their very lives by choices that we ourselves may not make but can definitely understand. And because these choices are so deeply human in a way, you can abstract it to pretty much any setting, but you can also envision those choices in yourself.

The first rule getting into Shakespearean tragedy? Have fun and be yourself 👍

Excited to share my @mlsecretsanta gift for @annieisyourfavourite ! <3

In terms of my drawing capabilities, especially with humans, this pushed me waaaaaay out of my comfort zone- I had to redraw poses a bunch, I tried multiple different ideas, and I tried drawing them as their superhero personas initially, but in the end I decided on a simpler sleepover concept! This is one of the largest pieces I’ve done so far and though I know I still have a lot to learn when it comes to drawing people, I’m still very happy with the final product! I had a blast and I learned a ton from this piece :)

Liper - I love how effortless their bond is and how much they get to be themselves with each other. It feels like they care about each other without even trying, like it’s as easy as breathing. And then there’s the irony—the “class clown” and “the pretty girl”, the son of the Hephaestus and the daughter of Aphrodite. Everything about their relationship feels like it’s in spite of something and to know they’ll continually choose their bond no matter what anyone else says or thinks or does…..lemme stop before I get emotional chile. #fated AF!

Jasiper - I was never a huge jasiper shipper (sorry) but if I had to pick a thing—I appreciate the respect they have for each other. I know they’ve been through some serious stuff in canon but something that always strikes me is how they’ll always put the other before themself no matter what terms they might be on at the time. They can avoid each other all they want but deep down (not even that deep really) that concern for the other’s well-being will always, always be there

Valgrace - The popular kid/unpopular kid trope strikes again! I’m unfortunately even more of a fiend about this when it comes to mlm ships. I love how similar their inner-conflicts are, the only difference being that Jason’s fake confidence comes off as self-assurance while Leo’s fake confidence comes off as being annoying. They definitely have more in common than they know, and the idea of the two of them navigating their insecurities together while being in a romantic relationship is soooo interesting to me. They’re also both SO dumb when left alone together and I think it’s super funny

Jasipereo - They’re the presidents of shared trauma, what else can I say! They’re borderline toxic with the way they’d literally and hypothetically lay down their lives for each other. I guess my fave thing is how they put the “tragedy” in “Greek tragedy” because who tf else in hoo is two for three when it comes for dying to protect your trio lmaooo. Only way you can break up this band is through DEATH ☠️ Honestlyyy though when you consider my fave things about each pairing within the trio, it just boils down to one thing—how much they love each other. Their relationship has been tried and tested many times, but at the end of the day that love will never go away <333

Parenthood mostly! With their second kid coming up he felt it was time for a change. He's been keeping his hair long since college and hoped a haircut would make him look more paternal and put together somehow hahah but he does end up letting it grow again
