17. your bed after a long time of travelling.

She doesn’t bother laying her riding habit out neatly — Leonelle is tired to the bone, her feet and back aching and her calves burning from the long days of travelling to and from Pitax. She abandons the garments on the floor, leaving behind a trail of dusty pink fabric in her wake. Lily brushes past her, hopping onto the bed despite her dirty paws and stretches herself out across the bed, tail thumping impatiently for her mistress to fall beside her.

With a frustrated grunt, she manages to pluck most of the pins keeping her hair out of her face from the nest of curls, letting them land on a nearby table with a loud clatter, before she finally flops onto the bed. Leonelle lets out a sigh of relief, burying her face into her sighthound’s fur.

“I never want to see Irovetti ever again,” she grumbles. After two weeks of travelling and numerous nights on an uncomfortable bedroll, the bed feels so soft — almost too soft. Lumpy, too. Smooth and cold to the touch. Lily nudges her with her snout, followed by a coarse tongue licking her face.

“I know. I would’ve let you hunt him if not for the ‘no violence’ rule.” Leonelle sighs, then sits up. Her hair sticks up in various different directions. “Gods, if Bartholomew even suggests fixing this with marriage —“ she shudders at the thought. Irovetti must be her father’s age at least, smelled like a brewery and a lecher to boot. She had seen the plain disgust on Annamede's face, “—then I’ll let you hunt my diplomat instead. How does that sound?”

She reaches out to scratch behind Lily’s ears, and the hound thumps her tail louder, panting happily.

🎹 - Do they have any hobbies?

Leonelle is the type who hates picking up hobbies if she's not going to be good at them, mostly because of her insecurities. But she's good with the piano, at dancing. Embroidery is something she dropped because she didn't have either the patience or attention span for it, despite having some skill with the needle. She enjoys reading fairly trashy romance novels.

I've definitely mentioned this but she also does dog breeding - primarily Chelaxian mastiffs with some hellhound mixed in, and she also enjoys hunting from time to time - mostly in the same manner Annamede Belvarah enjoys it.

🍀 - What originally inspired the OC?

Leonelle's current iteration was actually inspired by her father / sire when I was looking to move her over from VtM to PF. I couldn't quite decide what I wanted to do with her so I took a new approach: looked to see if I could apply her sire to PF and go from there -- and that was much easier. A high ranking Sabbat Lasombra with ties to the church easily got translated into a high ranking member of the Asmodean church (I could have done ZK / Nidal instead, but I felt a Lasombra -> Nidalese didn't fit quite right) and as a result Leonelle became the estranged daughter of an Asmodean priest. Everything else after that sorta slotted into place.
