My success is your success,

You're my husband and I'm your wife

As we chose to share this life.

When you're down and empty,

Taking life lessons and growth,

Pastel oranges and blues,

Cloud Castles so high,

How we built together,

Yet watched it fall,

How we intended forever,

But had our time cut short.

Though I love you deeply,

It's time to let you go,

Though our bond grew sweetly,

The seeds have now been sown.

No idea what the future holds,

But I hope it heals us both,

Broken souls with trauma wounds,

We really need this growth.

Makes us hurt each other,

To protect how deeply we feel,

Connected to one another.

The Other Side

Listening to all the songs,

I just want to play to you.

Sit in the warmth of your arms,

And sing the way we used to.

How are we here?

On this painfully deep inquest?

You're so far away physically,

But yet I feel you so close in my chest.

My life feels like a movie,

So surreal yet so divine,

And you feel like a part of me,

That weighs heavy in heart and mind.

What seems so simple,

Has served to be so hard.

We went from open embraces,

To, two upright guards.

I see your faults,

I see mine too,

Though I cannot trust your word,

I still yearn deeply for you.

Is this a trauma bond?

Or are we twin souls that met?

Because I haven't felt a connection,

As deep as ours just yet.

I know if it's meant to be,

We'll find our way back to one another.

In time, maybe eventually,

Question 9

The shocking sadistic nature of the human,

Broken promises and changed feelings,

Memories soured with ill thoughts,

When the purpose has changed it's meaning,

Energy spent in heaps of work and effort,

Nothing comes easy, as the creator intended,

Hopes and dreams are thus inadequate,

As their lines between reality are blended,

And though the sun shines in all it's awe,

And the sky gleams hues of both grey and blue,

We sit and wonder if we've reached the ending,

Would you have changed the trajectory if you previously knew?

CloudsOfGrief

The skies grow clouds that cry with me,

that weep at all this uncertainty,

that pain and pain in memory of you,

thick greyness covering the blue,

a gaping hole inside my soul,

a grief so intense and out of my control,

the Earth hears my tears as it weeps with me,

but does God hear me praying that you'll return to me?

Guardian Angel

How blessed I am to know you,

To receive your wonderful essence,

To be in your calm, away from harm,

Even momentarily, just in your presence.

You had belief in me when I had naught,

Reminded me these things were just taught,

Told me I had to relearn some lessons,

That knowledge would be my greatest weapon,

Pushed me to pursue my passion,

Promised that you knew it would happen,

Showed me love when I was at loss,

Took time out for me just because,

Helped me rebuild self-worth,

Reminded me of my purpose on earth,

Though I felt wronged and hurt,

You gave me the tools to revert,

Back to the love that lives deep within,

Showed me it's where it'd always been,

How grateful I am to know you,

Because of you, I grew..

Stunted.

I looked to the sky to see how much you had grown,

But a stunted growth was all that was shown,

Like a blunt cut tree trunk that had no will to repair,

as it basked in a pool of pain and despair.

The Orange Moon

I looked to the sky,

to find your beautiful orange glow,

I caught a glimpse that stirred my appetite,

as I lusted to gaze through my window.

I had no intention of seeing anything else,

so I switched the light off to intensify my view,

when I returned to gaze through the thick glass,

only but the smallest wisps of light came through.

I sat to write stories of my pain,

the lack of my visual gain,

the expectation that drove me insane,

and the appetite that would forever remain.

Once my stories were through,

I looked up again, only to now see you,

your orange had changed to a gold,

gleaming with stories untold.

Your glow lit up my room,

brought a light to my expected doom,

and I gazed in disbelief at what I could’ve never discerned,

you always knew from the start, you would forever return.

Soul Soliloquy

I'm on the dark side of the moon,

I still can't see the sun.

Under clouds of grief and pain,

From a life I thought I'd begun.

I can't distinguish my tears from the rain,

I thought I had found 'the one'.

Turns out my love was given in vain,

We lost, when I thought we'd won.

If hurt is all I gain,

I'll give myself to none.

Still on the dark side of the moon,

When will I see the sun?

If the sky turned green,

and the grass turned blue,

I wouldn’t even notice,

my eyes would still be on you.

Your small hands in mine,

your tiny little teeth,

your intuitive mind,

never fails to intrigue me,

You bring joy to my soul,

on the most painful days,

you make love flow from my eyes,

with your innocent ways

And my heart wouldn’t be a heart,

if it wasn’t for you,

my soul wouldn’t be a soul,

if your soul hadn’t pushed through,

Sometimes I'm swept in disbelief,

At the divinity of your being.

How you came from me,

My body is your body,

It's me in you, I'm seeing.

Sometimes I'm submerged in depths of love,

I could've never comprehended before.

How you teach my soul,

How you give me hope,

How you made me reconnect with my core.

Sometimes I find myself gaining meaning,

Understanding why I exist.

The connection we have,

The purpose you give me,

A role that fills me with bliss.

Sometimes I hurt from the growing pains,

But you remind me it's all ok.

You teach me to be me,

Express and be free,

And there is no right or wrong way.

All the time I feel blessed, to have received the best,

You heal my wounds with your smile.

You re-birthed me,

Connected me spiritually,

And made all the highs and lows of life worthwhile.

4MyInnerPeace

Sweet feelings of solitude,

As I enter my home of silence,

No voices, no muffles,

Yet the air is just so vibrant

Just solace surrounding my spirit

Making me feel comfort in being alone,

If a home is to be my home,

I must feel safe, first, on my own,

And I am not afraid of desolation,

Because it is but a ray in the spectrum,

I dance around, prance around,

And shout my reign upon my essence,

Because I possess the control,

I am the owner, the boss,

And the decider of what is what,

Therefore I can never be at loss,

I feel a consolation seeping through my skin,

because this is a feeling I have never felt before,

I know I finally possess an understanding,

of this philosophically spiritual law.

Is this, really, truly, inner peace?

You see the beauty of the sky?

When it's got your soul all entwined...

And when the little elemental fragments of your body,

Welcome the death of day, with the light of night?

Just because you left doesn't mean you're gone,

Through these skies, I see you were here all along,

Though hope and grace come with opposites,

These sights keep alight, a faith so positive.

I feel the presence of you,
