♡ a\n ~ sorry it took so long to finish! I managed to finish it up yesterday when I had free time anyway I hope you enjoy it as this is my first x reader and I hope it ain't shit (and it's a tiny bit rushed) 🙂

You quietly rested on your bed, the light of your phone showing off your face as you scrolled through the daily social media and other apps, clearly minding your own business until a familiar flicker from the living room caused you to groan loudly “Dammit this is the fourth lamp I had to return!” You growled throwing the blanket from your bed off of you and getting off the bed to trudge to the living room to see the damn lamp still flickering as you went over to it and examined it to see if there was a loose wire or something that caused it to flicker.

But as usual, there was nothing wrong with it “I don’t understand...How could you flicker but there is nothing wrong with you” You said frowning deeply but soon after you just scoffed wondering why you are even talking to a lamp and just unplugged it for the day ‘I’ll take it to the shop later today..since it still early’ You thought rubbing your temples out of stress and headed to the kitchen, your long pajama pants dragging along the floor as you walked to the tiled room.

You picked up a ramen pack because you were far too lazy to actually cook anything other than three minute noodles ‘Why has god forsaken me with the boring life..’ You thought watching the noodles spin in the microwave till it dinged and you took it out making sure to not forget to add the seasoning like you did last time before sitting down at the table.

You scrolled through your social media as you ate, seeing the usual things that went about on social media consisting of supernatural and normal things. Already bored, you decided to take the lamp to the shop right now since you were tired of just sitting and eating ramen noodles. You got up and threw the empty cup away before leaving your kitchen to go to your room to change into comfortable clothes.

Once you finished up, you left your room and went to unplugged the flickering lamp as it continued to flicker as you carried it out the house a tired frown resting on your face as you walked down the sidewalk to the lamp store you’re starting to become a regular at. ‘If this new lamp won’t work then to hell with it’ You thought the lamp underneath your arm flickering despite being unplugged but this time it was more rapid than it was in your living room as you got closer to the little vintage shop.

You opened the oak door to the shop and was greeted with the sight of lamps in all shapes and sizes as well as the little old lady that was at the front but what you didn’t expect to see was a tall figure over by the small lamps. As soon as you looked at the figure, the lamp in your hand started going haywire and flickering like crazy “Oh! Lamp troubles again Ms. (Y/L/N)?” The old lady said causing you to look in her direction with a nod as out of the corner of your eye, you saw the figure turn and look over where you were as you walked over to her the lamp still flickering like mad “Same problem as always…” You muttered setting the lamp onto the counter.

The old lady took the lamp and went into the back to take a look at it as you tapped your nails onto the wooden surface, your eyes drifting away and back to the figure you saw earlier before jumping slightly when you saw they were already looking at you, making you blink dumbfounded as you two had a stare down. You felt butterflies in your stomach the longer you stared at him till he started moving over to you. On closer inspection, you see he was pretty well built with soft pale skin, an obviously boyish looking face with doe eyes. But what you were focused on was his eyes and mouth, how his dark brown eyes literally sparkled and his mouth was formed into a smile with two buckteeth sticking out instantly reminding you of a bunny as he looked down at you.

“Hi..I’m Jungkook,” He said extending his hand towards you as you were too lost in looking at his face you didn’t realize. This made him chuckle “Hellooo” He called out making you focus back on reality with an embarrassed blush “O-Oh! I’m sorry...I didn’t mean to stare” You muttered noticing his outstretched hand to which you grabbed it wondering if there was anything else to make you embarrassed as you watched his hand engulf your smaller one “I’m um..(Y/N)..” You said the both of you holding onto each other hands a little longer before you let go.

You two stood there for a minute the silence between you two slowly killing you before you decided to break it “So ...what brings you here?” You asked as Jungkook straightened himself slightly “Well I just felt like I needed to get out of the house...being cooped up in the dark can get pretty boring” He explained, you nodding to show that you were listening as the two of you talked about different things slowly getting to know each other more.

However, your talk had to come to a close as the old lady came back “As usual, I can never find anything wrong…” She said looking down while setting down your lamp as it flickered more rapidly. She then looked up surprised to see Jungkook standing there “Ah! I see you met my local vampire customer” She said a small smile spreading across her face before retreating back to behind the doors she came from as your face turned into one of shock before turning to look at him “Your a vampire!?” You said causing him to nod and chuckle “I have been throwing hints since I started talking to you,” Jungkook said as you felt a bit dumb not noticing them.

“Well I guess not every day you meet a vampire..let alone a supernatural,” You said turning back to the shop owner “It's fine...I guess I just won’t get one for my living room then” You said reaching to grab it “Here let me get-” Unfortunately he said it too late and both of you grabbed the stand of the lamp.

Suddenly a bright electric shock came from the lamp and went through both of you as you grabbed the lamp. Instantly, you saw memories that weren’t yours flash in your mind like a slideshow as Jungkook felt the same. Both of you knowing exactly what this meant as the little event stopped once you let go, a seemingly frazzled look on you “Well…..I..” You didn’t finish because of the sudden movement from Jungkook as he grabbed your face and immediately pressed his lips against yours.

Muffling anything you had to say as he brought you close and both of your eyes fluttered close as you kissed. After what was like an eternity to you, air was starting to become a thing and the both of you pulled away, breathing slightly heavy “I knew you were something special about you when I saw you” He said pressing his forehead against yours breathing just as heavy as you were.

You felt your face turn red from the closeness “Yea ...I guess you could say the same for me..” You mumbled pulling away to gather yourself before meeting eye contact with the boy as he gave you his bunny smile “Is it too late to take you out on a date?” He said causing you to laugh shaking your head in the process “I guess not!” You said holding his hand “Might as well use it to also get to know each other a bit more...those memories were far to fast for me to fully understand them” You said as Jungkook grinned and kissed your forehead “Let's head to it then...You can pick the place” He said both of you decide to leave the lamp on the counter as you left the little shop.

You were quite surprised that a lamp led you to your soulmate...a vampire at that...Well, people always said that love comes in different ways...Yours shouldn’t be different either, especially since you were very much happy with how it turned out.
