Is there any story about how Cross received the veil from Killer?

Oh yes, it's a draft but thank God you remind me of it so I finished it already- also I change Cross and Killer age gap- to make it more logical duh- 💀 I didn't count properly back then-

It have been a few days since Cross made a deal with Nightmare. He had to admit that Nightmare is a bit dumb and desperate. At least for Cross he get to walk around the castle freely.

Also he really want to meet with the Queen again. He was so in love with her beauty but unfortunately Nightmare didn't let him to talk with Killer.

"I wonder where is she...." he look around looking for a servant that could help him.

Unfortunately none of the servants want to help him and they seems to avoid talking about Killer.

Well seems like Cross have to use his skill to find- he's too dedicated-

Later he stumbled across a garden. Seems like it was hidden because he only find it because he fell off from the pond which lead him to the garden. Oddly enough his clothes is still dry.

The garden seems to be tend carefully by someone. The flowers, the fishes and kids.

"Wait children? What are they doing here-." Cross muttered to himself.

The two children are sleeping and they resemble Nightmare. Cross guessed it's Nightmare kids since he did told him he was married.

Cross decided to wake the two children so he can ask them why are they here alone.

Before he can do that, a red knife suddenly threatened his neck. Cross recognized the glove, it's Killer.

"Ah! Lady, it's me! Remember?" Cross smiles as he slowly took away the knife from Killer.

"... Oh. You the weird man who proposed to me with that flower ring." Said Killer.

"yes that's is me!" Said Cross. "Are you the one who tend this garden? It's beautiful just like you."

"be quiet, my children is sleeping." Killer took away her knife from Cross then pushed him to the side.

"Wait children-?! Oh damn are you the Queen?" realization hits Cross harder than his almost execution. "You look young to be a mother though, how old are you? I'm 23 by the way."

"Queen.... Yeah sure." Killer sighed and looked dead in the eyes. "I'm 20."

"20..? But your children..." Cross finally realized what's going on. "Oh...- sorry, I heard the king is a very evil man. I should expect something like this... ...-"

"... It's okay, it's not your fault." Said Killer. "How did you get in here? This place is.. Well a prison for me."

"A prison? So you mean you can't get out at all?" He asked.

"Yeah...- I tried and my children ended up getting hurt by him." she replied then start to picking up both Crescent and Angst from the ground. "You should go back, he will come back anytime soon. I don't want people to get hurt because of me again..."

She then enter the small cottage that's is in the garden. It's where she sleep since she hates being in the same room with Nightmare.

Cross had a deep thought for while. He went back to castle, thinking what he can do for Killer.

"hmm... I think this should work." Cross got a wonderful idea now.

The next day....

As usual Killer is tending the garden while Crescent and Angst playing with the fishes.

It was a peaceful morning until Cross came again-

"Hello my lady and princes! I have a great news!" Said Cross happily. "Buckle up because we're going out!"

Killer was startled while the children immediately hide behind Killer.

"What...?" She doesn't understand what Cross meant by that.

"Well I talked with the king. He agreed to let you out once a while so let's go! I'll bring you out for lunch." Cross explained everything to Killer.

"Ah... Mom are we really going out? Can I finally see the sun?" Asked Crescent.

"Of course kiddo! If you want to see the sun you have to go to the light kingdom though but we can go there right now if you want."

"Uwah! Mom let's go there!" Angst tugged on Killer sleeve. "Please I want to read more books too!"

"...- okay fine. Before that we have to wear disguise. I don't want to get weird stares." Said Killer.

"If people stares at you, they probably think you're beautiful you know?" Cross suddenly complimented Killer out of nowhere which got her flustered.

"Ah... Huh...?" a second later she frown. "Real funny- haha, I'll go get some scarfs."

Killer went inside the tiny cottage to get some scarfs-

"Mister, you shouldn't call my mommy pretty. She don't like being called that." Said Angst.

"really? She seems a bit happy when I called her that though. You also should call your mother beautiful, so she can know how much you loves her." Said Cross.

"I don't see the point of loving—"

Crescent quickly cut Angst off and smile nervously. "of course mister! We will always say that to mom."

A few moments later, they arrived at the sun kingdom. Crescent and Angst are wearing adorable onesie bear. Meanwhile Killer is wearing a hijab and Cross wearing a veil...

"Seriously is this necessary?" Asked Cross.

"No but it's funny to see you in that veil." Killer slightly chuckles. "Don't take it seriously, you look decent."

"Really? thanks!" Cross was happy to hear a compliment from Killer. "Oh I pickpockets some people money while you were talking. Let's use it."

"How did you..- never mind..." She chuckles. "Let's go."

It was a very happy time for them. Killer was happy to see her children get to express their childhood.

Hours passed by, Crescent and Angst fell asleep on Killer's lap.

"Here I got free cotton candy for you." Said Cross as he sat next to Killer. "Don't worry I didn't steal it, I seduce the seller instead."

"you're really bad haha-" Killer smiles as she took the cotton candy from Cross hand. "You know this is my first time having this. I was isolated and didn't get to experience my childhood..." Said Killer.

"Oh... Then from now on I'll try to be more free so I can bring you out." Cross immediately replied to Killer. "I also didn't get to experience my childhood since I was living in a slum...-"

"heh... I guess we do have something in common." Killer smiles faintly.

It was a very comforting atmosphere. Cross get to know Killer while Killer got a new friend.

"I really like the veil you gave me. It's actually more comfortable than I thought." Said Cross.

"I'm glad. It belonged to someone I care about. Not gonna lie, it suits you more than them." Said Killer. "you... You can keep it. I trust you to take care of it."

"Really? I mean I don't want to take something precious from you." Cross was about to take off the veil but Cross stopped him.

"It's alright, you're now precious to me..."

"oh...!" Cross quickly nodded, he was blushing but thank God the veil hide the redness on his cheeks. "My real name is Hermes-" Cross suddenly blurted out his real out of nowhere- damn simp-

"... Oh, my real name is Amaris." she suddenly laugh at Cross behavior. "You can call me by my name when we're alone. I don't trust anyone expect you now."

"Oh my God lady please marry me-"

"what?"

"I mean I want to marry a bird!" Cross mentally slapped himself

I have a feeling he would become a priest alongside Crescent, not because he believes in God, but because he just wants to be near Crescent.

He is still a "good" brother to Artemis, and he probably doesn't meet Aponia right away.

I dunno, he's pretty much the same except a priest like Crescent?-

Wish

I wish I didn’t have these dreams. Chasing your fading arms. Staring into your blank expression. Desperately trying to hold on but failing every time. You fade to nothing as I open my eyes and sadness is by my side. I wish I could turn back time. So I can feel the way I once did. In angst, flashbacks of lighter times seem so far away. In darkness, I’ve been consumed. Trying to grasp onto the little hope of happiness that remains; somewhere there’s a spark. I guess the one wish I really hope to come true is to find something more tangible to look forward to. Most of everything I want to change is far out of reach. I can only do so much and simply wishing hasn’t brought my deepest desires into fruition. I just wish things were different. I wish I was happy.

Crescent was invited to family dinner. He really don't want to go but Artemis is there and he know Angst stopped acting like a caring brother and Merciless is.. Well him. Killer is going to ignore Artemis while Nightmare is going to make everything awkward.

So at the end, Crescent decided to go.

He expected for it to be dead silent. Unfortunately he was not right because Nightmare was late to dinner while his family started to go on each other throats.

"You monster, you really enjoying this argument hmm? Is it fun to be feed by our negativity?!" Killer didn't hold back and throw a plate at Crescent.

Well that'll leave a scar on his head...

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Artemis gasped by her mother action.

"Shut up Artemis! If I keep seeing his face one more time, I am going to kill myself. You and him are both monsters. My only children are Angst and Merciless!"

Merciless had to hold Killer back from trying to throw another plate.

"Crescent, I think you should leave now." Said Angst as he took a sip from his tea. "Artemis have to stay though. After all she's a daddy's girl and her dad will be so upset if she left. Who knows who will he hit this time." He glances.

"You—!" Artemis was stopped by Crescent.

"Ignore him, sister. He's not worth your time." Said Crescent.

"What? I'm saying the truth, dear brother. You're only bring chaos in this family. How about you leave. I don't see any worth in you by being here." Angst continue to provoke Crescent. "Of course you have to defend your kind little sister. You never did to any of us."

"Angst please, can't we just have nice dinner? Crescent didn't do anything...-" Merciless sighed as he finally calm his mother down.

"Ah yes that's right. He didn't do anything at all! When you were abused so badly, he stay blind eyes and ignore your existence while showering his sister with love." Angst laughed then got up from his seat.

He went to Crescent and grabbed his wrist.

"he's so pathetic isn't he? He didn't do anything to help us and he is living a good life in the damn church!"

"..." Crescent sighed and say, "Are you really trying to hurt me in front of our family? Really brother?" he seems to look down at Angst.

"Angst let go of Crescent now, his wrist are bleeding!" Yelled Artemis which brought Merciless and Killer attention.

Artemis didn't hesitate to try pulling Angst hand away, Crescent was surprised by her sudden actions. He didn't get a chance to warn her... Angst was quicker than Artemis, pushed her away.

"Don't you interfere in adult business Arti. You should've live a quiet live but yet you're being a misfortune to all of us." Angst coldly glares at Artemis.

It was Crescent final straw. He slapped the shit out of Angst.

"I swear to God I am kind enough to let your anger out on me." Crescent then slapped Angst once again. "I already told you to not interfere in my little sister life, didn't I? She can live however she wants."

"HAH! you really showing your true colors. You're just like father, all fake and deceiving. I can't believe I'm related to you." Angst scoffed at Crescent.

Merciless in the other hand pulled Angst away from Crescent. His eyes shivered as he recalling the old memories.

Crescent aura is just like Nightmare now, Merciless remember what fears are like once again... He don't like it.

"What's wrong 'Merciful'? Don't tell me are you afraid of me too? Honestly you're the same like mother. All bark but never bites. I am a monster yet you two keep messing with me." he didn't hold back then he glanced at Killer.

Killer is trembling too. Crescent understand her hatred yet he can't let her continue being like this to Artemis. He sighed and smile at her.

"What's wrong, Amaris? Are you too afraid of me?" Crescent chuckles.

"W-What, how did you know that name?!" Killer then yelled at Crescent.

Everyone was confused Killer reaction on the name. Clearly no one knows it expect for Alphonse and Crescent...

"Oh, I know a lot of thing about my mother. Father is so generous on telling me about your past... Now, now you wouldn't want me to tell your children about it right?" he smiles patiently waiting for Killer to say something.

Yet... Killer didn't say a thing and ran out from the dining room. Merciless follows Killer as he also don't want to be in the room.

"..." Angst still glaring at Crescent. "I was right aren't I? Mother is afraid of you, Crescent. You're nothing to this family anymore."

"Ah... Honestly Angst. How about you kill me?" Crescent suggested to Angst. "Go on, kill me. I am nothing to this family right? Wouldn't it better for you to just kill me?"

"I... You're fucking crazy. You're manipulating me just like Father."

Crescent slightly chuckles and smiles at his twin brother. "I knew it.. You're also afraid of me. You're afraid of the consequences, you know what will happen if I die by your hands." Said Crescent. "You're right, I'm just like my father. I could easily disown you anytime I want just like father could but I know you're afraid of being left alone."

... It was an uncomfortable silence. Angst didn't say anything and left the dining room.

Crescent sighed while Artemis speechless by whole situation. She didn't know Crescent could easily make them go away-

"I apologize you had to see that. Are you alright sister?" Asked Crescent.

"I'm fine... Teach me how to do that-" Said Artemis.

"do what?" Crescent didn't quite understand about Artemis request.

"You know? Like make all of them go away!"

"ah... How about you just ask them to join you for prayer, that way they'll stop bothering you." Crescent happily replied to Artemis. "Now, now... I have to go to hospital because I'm losing bloods."

"oh my God you're right. Let's go-"

So basically, Hope and Dream had a fight which cause their magics to combine and created Callisto. Hope lost all of their magics because if a witch gave birth or create a living being, their magics will be transferred to the child.

Hope is powerless and Dream feels overwhelmed so he couldn't take care of Callisto (What a pain in the ass!)

Hope take care of Callisto then Lux because the original had to stick around lmao.

He hates Killermare family and he hates Dream and his family too (expect for Lux, he cares deeply for his little sister <3) (Even so he respects women-)

Oh well yes but it's not relevant to the story that much.

Cross played piano and violin but he stop playing them after Angst death.

Killer also play piano as Cross taught her to play a piano. Killer is not good as Cross though-

Crescent used to play piano and Angst used to practice to play violin like Cross. Though after Angst death, Crescent lost his interest on being a pianist. He play violin as hobby at the church because he thinks Angst maybe is watching over him. He was right, Angst always adore Crescent performance.

Passivemare in the other hand play all the instruments. Over achiever syndrome-

Ink & Error - Since Error has only his half soul, he doesn't match Dream. Meanwhile with Ink, she just protect the remaining aus.

Hope - The current Queen of witches. Fire is not her only elemental magic, they can control wind and earth too but Hope prefer fire. They can use dark magic- so yeah.

Corrupted Nightmare (Alphonse) - is just like the original but complicated.

Cross - he may not be strong like others but his IQ is high-

Geno - Geno may not make lot of appearance yet she is very strong than the member of bad sanses. Just her health hold her back too-

Goth - surprise surprise, Goth is very strong. She is the child of God of death and is to be the grim reaper too. Just...- she don't use her ability and know how to control it.

Lux - well since most of her ability were from passivemare- she is strong haha-

Palette - why he is not strong like Callisto despite being the descendant of sun? Easy, this is because Palette is insecure and he will never awaken his sun power unlike Callisto 👍

Crescent & Merciless - well those three are strong.

Drop - My favorite crybaby- I mean, Drop is a strong 10 years old.

Starcross - how too explain this one- again, descendant of sun yet didn't awaken his ability yet.

"Well, well, well..Look who decided to come around for once!"

Artemis stood by the door after opening it, but also blocking Angst's way from coming in. She did not want him in her house.

Angst furrowed his eyebrows, irritated. He wasn't here to deal with his little sister's shenanigans.

"Why don't you let your older brother in, Artemis?" he gave her a suspicious, irritated look.

"Did I make you upset? Not my problem!"

"Move out of the way, Artemis."

"Why? Why should I let you in my house? Are you gonna threaten my kids and leave them to die just like you did with me?"

But Angst didn't reply, forcefully pushing his sister aside and walking in. He glanced around the hallway, like a predator looking for a lost prey.

The children were heard upstairs, giggling and running around. Unaware of their crazy uncle even being present.

"Where's Gradient?" he turned to face Artemis, who started getting up from the floor after being pushed. Her hands were beginning to tremble, she felt scared.

"I don't know." she bluntly replied.

"I'm not playing games, Artemis. You're one of the people he's closest with, unfortunately. I can tell that you're hiding something."

"I don't know anything about your lost "boyfriend". Okay? Now, will you leave peacefully? Or do I have to shove you out.." Artemis glared up at him, clenching her fists.

There was a tense, uncomfortable silence that filled the room. Angst was determined to find Gradient, and Artemis was determined to make him leave.

"I am going to ask you one more time. Where is he?" Angst spoke between his teeth, walking closer to Artemis. Only to have a dagger pointed at the crook of his neck the moment he tried to take another step. Much to his surprise..

"And I am going to ask you one more time to get. out. I told you I have zero clue where he could be. What else do you want from me, to snap and cut your neck?"

Angst suddenly burst into laughter after hearing her words. The look on his eyes was crazed..

"Look at you, you've gone completely deranged.." he made an ironic remark

"And whose fault was that? Certainly not mine!"

Angst scoffed and grabbed her wrist, the one holding the dagger. His grip was tight, and threatening.

"Well, you should've lived a quiet life. You wouldn't be here now. But no. You kept trying to fix everyone, in hopes everything would be better. You didn't listen to me, just like you're not listening right now. Useless brat."

Artemis simply chuckled at those words, not even bothered by what Angst had said.

"Then I guess I should've never given a damn about you, mom, dad, Merciless and Crescent too! I should've never cared for you, and your stupid depression. In fact, I should've given you the same medicine you gave me and ignore you entirely! Leave you in fate's hands to die, just like all those times you watched me die!"

She spoke, every word full with hatred and venom..

"I shouldn't have stopped you and comforted you in all those timelines. I shouldn't have cooked meals for you. I shouldn't have done all those things for you. In fact, I should've let you suffer like the pathetic rotten insect that you are!"

Angst just kept listening, his eyebrows furrowing even more.

"If it weren't for me, poor Merciless would be dead a long time ago." she glared, bringing her face closer.

"If it weren't for me, you would've never met Gradient. If it weren't for me, Merciless wouldn't be free from his little room in the dungeons. AND if it weren't for me, the world would've been destroyed and you all would be goners. I sacrificed everything out of my love for my family, because guess what? I did not want to watch you die."

Where did it all go wrong?..

"But it seems like you would have preferred I did nothing at all, don't you? To never talk to dad and save Merciless out of his misery! That's what you wanted apparently, and now you're telling me I should've never spoken up? Well then, we're having it your way now. Not a single word will you hear from me, and nor will I care about any of you bastards anymore. Let's see how you like the "quiet and happy" Artemis." she laughed, rather enthusiastically..

That sweet girl who cared for everyone..was long gone.

"Shut up." Angst glared, his grip on her wrist becoming awfully tighter. "You better shut up, if you know what's best for you."

"Then leave." Artemis frowned "Get out of my house, and begone from my life for good. Since you hate me so much." Her eyebrows furrowed and she kept glaring, tears building up in the corners of her eyes.

Angst scoffed, letting go of her wrist.

He started to make his way towards the door, Artemis slowly following him behind.

"You're still a weak, useless crybaby.." he added, smirking to himself

Artemis rolled her eyes, placing her hand on the door.

"I've been way too merciful..you don't know who you're messing with yet."

Angst suddenly burst into laughter, once again.

"Hahah! Ohhhh..that's a good one. Are you serious?" he chuckled

"Well then, let's see what you-"

*SLAM.*

Artemis didn't wait to hear anything else and slammed the door on her brother's face.

Her hands were still trembling, and her wrist hurt..

"...You can come out now. He's gone."

"He is?" Gradient came down from the attic "..Phew. Sweet relief. Thanks girlie, I owe you one. I'm really sorry for the trouble." he said, walking up to Artemis with a worried expression once he noticed the state she was in..

"Come on, let's get you some water.." Gradient gently pat her back, feeling bad for her. "I expected better from Angst, really.."

"Let's not talk about that worm anymore. Please.." Artemis sighed, trying to forget about the interaction earlier.

"Once again, I'm sorry for the trouble. I won't stay here for long. I figured out where to go next.."

"That's good..I don't think he stopped suspecting me of hiding you anyway. He's not gonna let this go."

"I know. Unfortunately.."

The two exchanged worried looks, and made their way into the kitchen.

The rest of the day was spend peaceful...Fortunately. Gradient felt safe in the Light Castle that day, and Artemis wasn't alone for once.

Royals meeting - Good ending sequel.

[Good ending is where Callisto ended up as a heir, while surprise ending is where Palette ended up as the heir]

"Where's Palette?" asked Artemis to Angst.

She is worried for her best friend. After all, Palette and Artemis are closer as ever.

"I'm not sure. I saw him a couple of moment ago. Maybe he left?" Said Angst. "But that'll be an absurd, why would he left."

"Yeah why would I left?" Palette surprise the two of them from behind. "Sorry for disappearing, I got addicted to this pudding and could not stop eating it..." explain Palette.

"Did you finish all of it...?" Asked Angst.

Palette nodded, he truly got addicted- Artemis slightly chuckles at Palette cute behavior. She is glad that Palette seems to doing fine even if he lost his position as the heir.

"Well, I have to tell the chef to make more for the guests." Said Angst.

He left quickly so the guests can have the dessert.

"I should follow him, I need more of this pudding." Said Palette. "I'll be back!"

"Okay!" Artemis waved at Palette as she stay.

Even though this isn't the best ending, she is glad it was not that bad. After all, living for 7 timelines is tiring.

"What a nice smile you have on your face, princess." Callisto greeted Artemis which caused her to flinch.

She did not see him coming.

"Did I startled you? My apologies, I didn't know the princess is easily startled." Callisto tease Artemis up.

Even if the truce were made, Callisto still has the habit to piss off Artemis.

"You—" Artemis was about to choke Callisto but he grabbed her hand and kiss it in gesture manner.

"People are watch, princess." he mocked a smile. "you seems to be so sensitive about my joke, how about you relax for a second."

"How about you fuck yourself for a second." Artemis whispered as she glares at Callisto.

Callisto think this is enough of teasing the precious princess so he let go of her hand.

"Very well then, the song will be play in any moment. You should find your little boyfriend to dance with." Said Callisto. "See you around, princess."
